i am constantly stopping myself from having thoughts on my psychosis that sound like hate crimes.i was gonna make a joke if psychosis means too much consciousness for the mind to handle that means after a certain level of awareness we start going back to the no awareness ways similar to animals but then realized thatd get me on an ableist hit list by accident

I don't wanna further hijack that poor poll, but the thing about Harrow's schizophrenia is that it's canon. The author has confirmed it, and shared that it's based on her own experience.
It's a pretty obscure bit of canon, so of course there's no shame in not already knowing, but that's why I'm so obnoxiously persistent about letting people know.
Whatever else is up with Harrow, autism or cptsd or any number of likely headcanons, she is also schizophrenic. I feel like that's too important to be handwaved away as a difference of opinion.

Hey, when there's a mass shooting on the news and it's revealed to be done by a mentally ill/mentally disabled person. What NOT to do is see someone being mentally ill and immediately say you think they're gonna get a gun. Capiche?

i know its not like the disability olympics or whatever but as someone who was unable to function unless I was homeschooled my entire life because one attempted semester of highschool made me genuinely psychotic & unable to function in a group, its interesting how autism as a disorder has just been watered down to this commodified "consumerist" identity where people have deluded themselves into thinking theres something Wrong with them if literally all they do is have passionate interests but oh make sure you dont do anything Actually weird cuz thats "jobless / loser / etc" behavior . that + th whole sweep of th word "neurodivergent" which is a catch-all that means nothing in th grand scheme of things .

Re: antis using delulu
They're not going to stop using it. Antis don't care how it makes you feel or if it's wrong, only that it makes them happy that you get riled up. If they cared about what was right and wrong, AA fans wouldn't be constantly harassed. And yeah, I hate it, too.
That said, they don't seem to like it when you laugh at them in return from my experience. It might be best to make fun of them in return for the tired old K-Pop TikTok term. It's been around for a decade, you'd think they'd find something more intelligent-sounding as an insult by now. The word sounds like someone with a low IQ who pretends to be much smarter than they actually are or someone who's so chronically online that they must remind themselves how to breathe. Creative with insults they are not.
They have to be on a mental decline to use terms that insult those with psychosis. Reminds me of the idiots who used the terms "Retard" and "Gay" back in the 90s/00s as an insult before they started getting slammed by society for their usage.
i have definately seen the anti aa types call ppl retarded. its just interesting to me that the people who say the UA ending is so good and pure and perfect bc its the ✨️mental health recovery✨️ ending would be so comfortale with saying these kinds of things to real people in defense of their blorbo. and by interesting i mean an extremely transparent display of what they really think about mental illness and cognitive disfunction

Me: Wow, the Ur-Dragon fight is so fun now! It did give me slight panic attacks when I first played because I was severely underlevelled and it took 3 days irl to do it, but I'm glad I'm not traumatized by it anymore and I enjoy it now.

hey. was anyone going to tell me that psychotic depression. aka major depressive disorder with psychotic features. was a thing. or was I gonna find that out from looking up delusions to be more educated.
(and the academic article I found on it was exclusively in German so I can't read it. and that the English abstract included said that the three delusional foci associated with it are the things I have the most severe anxiety about while not being that anxious about much else.)
oh my god yeah no thats definitely a thing and i feel like no one talks abt it except for ppl whove experienced it or other psychotic people 😭 bipolar as well can include psychosis, theres theories that ocd with low/no insight can lead to it, also trauma, childbirth, a bunch of other stuff that like. nobody ever talks abt!! i mean people barely talk abt schizophrenia let alone other schizospec disorders either but like. tbh im guessing a lot if not most people with psychosis arent ever diagnosed or recognized as having it or even realize that they have it bc nobody really knows what to look for outside of the stereotypical outward signs yknow. like if someones not percieved as a danger to others ppl dont pick up on it or they do but they just think someones weird or creepy or whatever yknow. i am screaming and crying and clawing at the walls i wish there was more knowledge abt this stuff cuz its so important and pretty much the only people i see talking abt it are ppl whove experienced it ;-;

i dont get how some people especially neurodivergent people can look at people with personality disorders and be utterly ableist and sanist against them when 9/10 you have more in common with a pwASPD or NPD than you do a neurotypical just based on the fact that mental illness is literally buy one get twelve free in some cases
#like i have adhd. im autistic. aro. schizophrenic/psychotic in some way do you REALLY think id be on the side of a so called empath#the second i even breathe about not feeling a 'human' emotion theyd have me put away thinking apathy would turn me into a serial killer#i have way more in common with cluster B disorders than i ever will with the empaths that claim to be ~*mental health activists*~#at least they claim to be mental health activists until its too messy or complicated and then out comes the slurs and bigotry#like id much rather hang out with a person who doesnt think thought crimes are real and that thinking abt the odd homicidal thought#makes you a twisted fucking cycle path or whatever#maybe its the aro in me and the similar experiences of seeing how bad we are dehumanized for some of us not feeling love#but it rankles like nothing else and if you do this please. reconsider and ask yourself why#if you create a stigma around the 'scary' disorders then how the hell is anyone meant to get help. feeling safe enough to get help.#cause these disorders are caused by abuse and if you really wanted people with a pd to get help you probably shouldnt make it harder.#and if we're going by therapy rules you cant armchair diagnose someone else anyways#sometimes an asshole is Just an asshole#long ass rant but seriously the amt of shit i see makes me so upset because like if someone does that to someone with scary disorders#how long is it gonna be till they start going after autism or adhd for similar traits. its already happened in some empath circles.#just ask yourself that because there is a lot more mental health overlap than you think#it already happens in most empath spaces#You cannot and i mean cannot decide if someone has bad intentions for you based on vibes.#you have to learn to trust people and if they break that trust they arent automatically a narc#just an asshole#and people hardly go around calling people a hyperactive abuser ghoul for them having adhd or being suspected of it

People who say autism is destigmatized and autistic people are privileged over allistic people with things like the nebulous term psychosis (which can be a symptom of autism!) have clearly not interacted with very many autistic people in real life.
