that feeling when you're in the middle of moving house and you barely even check whatsapp because you're too braindead and tired from being an adult™️ and then you get an email notifying you that some minor who hasn't realized that when their birthday comes they'll vote in the elections (or be eligible to anyway) and therefore is almost an adult leaving some absolutely nonsensical answer to a post from like three years ago and then tumblr doesn't even let me reply because for some reason the answer won't show on my dash (did the algorythm think it was too hostile? idk but lol)
kid I can't possibly muster up the brain power to actually cp that stupid email after I spent the entire day boxing stuff up but if you're reading here: fictional stuff in general is not about you, you don't even know wtf victim blaming means because if I say a 17yo as almost an adult can generally fuck most people they like especially if it's a fling I'm not blaming them for anything except having fun, I don't even know you and no one says *you* have to date anyone above your age if you don't want to like sorry you're not the main character in the universe's existence
also at 17yo I'd have found the idea of dating anyone below 16yo absolutely unacceptable because they all looked like immature kids to me and I'd have found nothing wrong with fooling around with someone a few years older, am I victim blaming 17yo me now?

well I hate to say it but I just don't think "gamechanger" by l.x. beckett is a very good book. it has the problem common to sff writers where they have too many ideas and throw them all in, with the added wrinkle that most of the time I could not tell which aspects of the future society the author thought were good and which were bad. usually with a bad writer they just tell you what you're supposed to be mad about and with a good writer they subtly make their position known. I don't know what this author thought about most of the stuff they invented. like in this book kids can become cops in order to investigate other kids' crimes. is that good?
it's hard to summarize the plot bc of how much stuff there is going on so I'll just tell you about the main thing I wanted to see resolved. in this #future world everyone is always hanging out in an augmented reality they access with brain implants. I did really enjoy the multiple levels of engagement people have with the ar. it's always passively on but you can choose to go deeper into it. an interesting scifi escalation of how in modern life you always have your phone on you and can casually check it but sitting down to work on the computer or getting engaged in a video game feels more intense. anyway, everything you do in this ar world is monitored and recorded, and you have a social credit score based on other people upvoting and downvoting you. kids have sort of limited privileges within the ar world. they can't get implants until they're of age so they have to wear helmets and they can't take the drugs that let you experience full immersion
and the author is like "preteens hate the idea of joining adult society and being able to live in virtual reality 24/7 so they run away from home in droves and its a major societal issue." has the author met preteens? frankly I think they would be running to sketchy underground doctors who promise to give them implants early. and the first chapter of the novel is kids who are running away bc they want to go off the grid! that tricked me into thinking it would be a major theme of the book but then it just wasn't. we were supposed to accept that kids hate going online
then it turned out that there was an evil ai who was inspired by female harry potter villains to lure children to her evil school where she lobotomized them so what the fuck ever
I still think it was worth reading bc I got a tremendous amount of enjoyment out of the great lakes megacity (formerly chicago, detroit, cleveland, and toronto)

Omg ok so it’s peak squirrel brain hours for me rn so lemme try to tell you about this brainrot I’ve been having.
I literally have no idea where it came from but modern au, you’re a patron at thatch’s bar, you go there often and are friendly with thatch bc he’s a nice guy. Friends with Luffy. You go to said bar, having a great time with your friends, whitebeard crew shows up bc it’s thatch’s place obvi, but some other crew busts in trying to pick a fight. Somehow you get yoinked as a hostage bc the other crew wants to fight somewhere else (a trap duh) and it’s not a situation where they can get you out safe so they’re like yes we’ll fight you at this location but Marco is like I wanna come too, prolly cause he feels responsible maybe you were by the whitebeard crew bc you were luffy’s friend or you were flirting with Marco and that’s why you got snatched
And the baddies they’re like fine fine but it’s seastone cuffs. They got beef with him or something so they were down, plus having one of their fighters tapped out seemed smart
So you go off with them and both of you are just subconsciously trying to protect the other Marco even has you come sit on his lap bc the sketchy van you’re put in has stuff all over the floor and you’re wearing shorts/skirt and it’s conveniently freezing in the van so like, y’all can warm eachother up
And the baddies are like oh wait is it the Phoenix’s gf is that why he wanted to come and they’re taunting like oh the things we could do to your little gf and Marco is like just remember the cuffs won’t be on forever
Anyways they drive y’all around until the meeting time maybe taunting or roughing poor Marco up a little and finally they all meet up at this trap location except obvi the whitebeard pirates are gonna kick ass and come to the rescue and they take you back with them to heal any injuries/make sure you ok
BUT
Oh no one of the baddies gets away and starts posting all over the dark web about the phoenix’s weakness and everyone is like oh you’re in danger guess you gotta stay with us for awhile
And Marco was so nice so you just have a huge crush but he somewhat avoids you bc he feels responsible so you’re like oh he does not like me back oh ok
And idk they’re loosely mafia ish so some shenanigans ensue of people coming after you but Marco is always there to protect you and the tension is off the charts
….
That’s kinda as far as my brain got bc I keep starting over lmao
Ugh I wish I was better at making that a cute little story I’m so good at coming up with things in my head but typing them out is so hard T_T

An Author friend of mine - far more successful and suited to the job than I am - said something once that really sticks with me.
The ideas are the easy part, writing is the hard part.
Some people will come to her with ideas, and want some sort of 50/50 deal for doing "half" the work, and honestly, no matter how well fleshed out the idea is, it's barely going to be 5% of the process at best.
I don't share that to put your idea down, not even a little, but I do mention it to highlight that you're not wrong. Turning ideas into stories is the hard part, and honestly I always love seeing that truth understood too. (Real fun is when you apply that to other things and realize that certain types who have "great ideas" are rarely the ones who make them reality, but they really want to continually tell you how great their ideas are changing the world >.> )

So - I have to admit I have a Mafia AU Marco story I'm slowly working on. It's pretty complex so far, intended as a slowburn anyway, and I really want to incorporate this idea into it. I just love the vibes.
AND - lol - one of the points I wanted to sort out for it was specifically having the reader end up in the Main House for the Whitebeard Mafia family. This idea is PERFECT, a few adjustments for the reader type and the AU itself, and the vibes are there. It's a Devil Fruit AU too, so >.>
the reader as a hostage gets Marco as a "hostage", they're supposed to let her go at that point, but someone gets the brilliant idea that the girl keeps the bird inline, and Pops' prize bird keeps the other boys inline, so they're keeping both.
The idea of the doomed kidnappers thinking the two are together works, it'll be the 2nd or 3rd time they've met and yeah, there's been flirting, but nothing committal. So her staying at the Main House for protection still leave Marco with a sour taste - he does like her, but this situation isn't fair. He's too laid back and experienced to blatantly avoid her, but he makes sure there's always someone else around, excusing himself before his brothers can "leave the two of them alone" or anything.
In this particular story the reader is an adopted kid of Big Mom's, trying to get away from the mafia life to some degree, and more than that to avoid being married off for whatever reason by Big Mom in the first place. (this is grumbled about in the first chapter, so it's not some big reveal). That certainly adds another layer to things, especially if Lin-Lin sees it as an in to tie the two families together.
Ah, sweet Kazieai <3 I would love to utilize this wonderful idea you've blessed my morning with. Just because the idea part is easier than the writing part doesn't mean it isn't worth due credit ❤️Especially when it's just the scenario I was trying to come up with.

validation received, new story idea time
So, this story (going under the working title "Unplugged From Mann" until I think of something less stupid) follows Sulien Barlow, a freelancer living in a city called New Redmond. More often than not, Sulley is called in as a private investigator bc it's better than relying on the local authorities most of the time. One day, he is tasked with heading to the HQ of Mann Enterprises- a corporation based in New Redmond that specializes in the research and treatment of insomnia, to investigate these dream suppressant pills (I don't have a name for them yet shhhh) that Mann has supposedly been trying to bury the manufacturing of.
But, as one would probably expect, Sulley ends up sticking his nose where it doesn't belong, and uncovers something sinister.
Specifically, Sulley ends up stumbling upon a kid- no older than 17 from the looks of them, sleeping in some sort of suspended animation pod with heavy restraints. According to some documents he finds around the room, the kid's name is Briar Nash, and they've been in that chamber for about 3 weeks.
Getting an uneasy gut feeling about the whole situation, Sulley ends up freeing Briar from the pod and waking them up, only to be met with a kid that's in a state of clear terror and confusion. See, apparently in their slumber, Briar was plugged into some sort of simulation in which a hulking masked individual kidnapped and brutally tortured them over the course of 3 years, despite all signs pointing to them having only been in that chamber for, again, 3 weeks. And when I say "brutally", I mean "Briar was under the impression that they were missing an eye and multiple fingers when they woke up despite being completely unharmed in the real world" brutal. And to top it all off, Briar now has partial amnesia of their life pre-simulation, so they have no idea why they were in there to begin with. One thing is clear, though. This little experiment was not consensual on Briar's end.
Of course, the workers at Mann are not pleased with this dude snooping around and freeing their captive. So now, Sulien has to deal with this sketchy corporation stalking and harassing him and his family. And obviously, he must help Briar recover their memories of their old life, figure out just what Mann was doing with that weird computer simulation anyhow, and perhaps put together what those dream suppressants have to do with all this.
Easier said than done when Sulley's new deeply-traumatized charge is still seeing their virtual tormentor in TV and computer screens, and that said tormentor may not be as virtual as they initially thought.
or something like that, it's still a little rough.

- nat was wounding me this episode, she has so much guilt and hates herself for having survived its just awful

- misty being unable to focus on the birth bc of crystal was so sad, the bit where she saw the blood on her hands that was intercut with crystal’s death was great very nice scene
- lottie’s psychiatrist is so sketchy. like the encouragement of the visions is so bizarre and just bad vibes
- thinking that “it” influenced travis, nat, and misty to return to lottie’s life

- OK dream baby eating time: my favorite part was nat, the way she was wiping the blood from her mouth when she saw shauna, the guilt in her eyes, just perfect. also ben being the only other one who looked fully human/guilty in the scene. and then the rest of them being so animalistic i just loved it. bummed we didn’t get real baby eating but this is a good compromise i think
- shauna saying “why can’t you hear him crying” was so fucking heartbreaking sophie nelisse needs all the awards. i did not think i would be satisfied with the baby being stillborn but i loved the way they did it. i do hope that next episode we do see the body, specifically for one reason and that is i want shauna to keep seeing jackie in the baby. like she looks at it once and sees jackie’s eyes, next look it has her nose, etc. maybe even give it some sort of animal features at some point. i just want her to not be able to look at the corpse and see a baby. i want her to look at it and see jackie and her own guilt. next week’s episode is called “burial” so i’m assuming they will be disposing of the body and i want shauna to look at it as it’s being dispose of and just see jackie laying there instead. do you see my vision? i think it would be very fun. either that or they actually eat the baby. also we better get some placenta eating next episode bc not eating it would be a huge waste

Had the idea that blu Scout realizes she never had a crush on Ms. P and was in fact misinterpreting the gender envy she was experiencing. ‘Turns out she didn’t want to be with her she just wanted to BE her’ kinda thing. And then they’re pals who leave sticky notes with dumb doodles on them for each other to find. And now I can’t get the thought out of my head. But idk how I should feel abt that bc I know a lot of transfem scout hcs are mega sketchy
I'm generally not particularly fond of "Scout was never actually into Pauling at all and actually he's gay/she's (Scout's) trans/etc." bc it removes any sort of actual conflict and opportunity for growth on Scout's part (bc yes these characters DO grow sometimes), and still falls back on the idea that if Scout WERE actually attracted to Pauling, there's no way for them to just be friends without dating, which isn't true, tons of people are attracted to their friends who don't feel the same way and they manage to work it out. Scout, regardless of gender and orientation, can be legitimately attracted to Pauling and want to date her but learn to respect her and listen when she says "no".
There are a ton of transfem Scout hcs that I really love and I wouldn't feel comfortable writing off almost any sort of transfem hc as Inherently Problematic, but I do think it's good to be careful about it. Too many tme people use it as an excuse to make "transitioning to date lesbians" jokes which yknow. is really not a great look right now. I think this idea is good btw for what it's worth, it's not Problematique or anything, it's just not really my thing. I know it's like really weird for someone who's as adamantly anti-scoutp.auling as I am to ALSO be like "but Scout should still be into her", but like that's a big part of Scout's character and really the only nuance they're allowed to get, so I personally like to keep it around

Ten years pass. You’re almost sixteen now and you’ve formed your own political opinions. They differ from your parents enough for them to be referred to as “unorthodox”. You and your family had to visit a settlement called Kijimi on business. This business, of course, is the one your father has been trying to drag you into since forever. Honestly, the entirety of it goes against your morals, so you’ve been fighting your way out of it as much as you can. That’s why, when your parents got to the main doors of the building you all were to visit, you slipped away undetected and decided to explore.
You regretted it the instant you saw him.
You were a little ways away from your parents’ business venture when you turned a corner and saw a familiar young man. You couldn’t understand why you had the feeling that you knew him, because you’re fairly certain you’ve never met him before. But then, by some miracle or accident, he looked in your direction.
It was his eyes that got you.
You could clearly see his brown irises from where you were standing, though far enough away not to be seen by the others he’s with. Those brown eyes launched you back to that one ungodly humid afternoon on Yavin 4.
You were staring into the eyes of Poe Dameron, and he was staring right back at you.
You immediately turned away. You weren’t sure why. Instinct? Embarrassment? You had no clue. But you stepped forward and walked away from him, and you managed to convince yourself that he hadn’t seen you; hadn’t recognized you.
Suddenly, you’re shoved against a wall. Strong, warm hands pin your shoulders to the stone and you almost kick out at your assailant to get away, but then you see the eyes.
Poe.
“You trying to give a guy a fucking heart attack?” You demand, making no move to push the boy off you, but still trying to catch your breath.
“It’s you, isn’t it?” Poe asks hopefully. “You’re Y/N, you’re the kid I met ten years ago. Yavin 4? Right?”
“I dunno, Dameron, is it me?” You raise an eyebrow. “I hope you know that if you weren’t you, I would be kicking and screaming right now, you’d probably have a black eye and a broken nose, at least.”
“Nice to see you too.”
Poe releases you and shoves his hands in his pockets. “So… what’re you doing here?”
“My parents had a business thing across town, I slipped away,” you reply, shrugging your shoulders a little to loosen up.
“Don’t like the business?”
You chuckle. “Understatement.”
“Yeah? Wanna take a walk and talk about it?”
You hesitate. “I dunno, you probably have to get back to your crew.”
Poe shakes his head. “Nonsense, we just got back from a spice run and we don’t get back out until tomorrow. I’ve got all sorts of free time.”
“You sure?”
“‘Course I’m sure! Besides, we’ve got ten years to catch up on.” He pauses, glancing away for a moment before meeting your gaze again. “Why didn’t you come back?”
“My parents,” you say sombrely. “I told them about you and about how your parents are with the Rebellion and they immediately forbade me from seeing you again. That’s why I tried to ditch you a few minutes ago.”
“Didn’t want to see me or didn’t want to get caught?”
You shrug. “I dunno yet.”
The two of you start walking.
“I hope this doesn’t sound weird,” Poe starts, “but… nah, never mind. It’s stupid.”
You frown. “Come on, spill.”
Poe sighs, rubbing a hand over his face. “Okay. Um. How do I put this without sounding like an obsessive creep.” He laughs a little. “I’ve thought about you a lot since we met. And by a lot I mean every few weeks, which turned into every few days, which turned into every days. For the past few years, not a day went by that I didn’t wonder where you ended up.”
“Dude, we were five.”
“So?” Poe shrugs. “I dunno, man, the human mind is strange as shit.”
You bark out a laugh. “You got that right.”
“Why exactly are your parents so against you talking to me?”
You exhale slowly. “They’re the kind of people that are against the Rebellion because the Rebels are trying to, in my dad’s words, ‘change a system that already works just fine.’ Load of fathier dung, if you ask me.”
Poe combs his fingers through his hair. “What’s your view on the Rebellion?” He asks quietly; almost nervously.
“I’m with them, one hundred percent!” You answer immediately. “I share their views wholeheartedly, I have since you explained them to me all those years ago. My views on the galaxy, with them being so similar or the same to the views of the Rebels, are supposedly ‘unorthodox’, according to my whole family.”
“Big family?”
“Ehh, kinda. Whole lot of First Order supporters, and people who supported the Empire when it was around. And some of them say they don’t want to get involved in the politics of it but if you’re not actively fighting against something, you’re kind of part of the problem.” The two of you turn a corner and you adjust your jacket a little. “That kinda thinking gets me excluded from some family things.”
“You’ve never really told me about your family,” Poe remarks.
“You’ve never told me about yours.”
“Well, you know who they are. Shara Bey and Kes Dameron, both serving the alliance to restore the Republic. My mom was a pilot for the Alliance’s Green Squadron, my dad was with the Pathfinders. They’re good people.”
“I’m not so lucky on the parental front.”
Even in the darkness, you can see – or maybe sense – Poe raising an eyebrow at you, hoping you’ll elaborate. You sigh.
“My parents, and entire family, really, are major dark side supporters. Palpatine, Vader, Snoke. And because my parents like the way things are run, they don’t even give the light a chance. Sucks for me, I happen to like the light. What really doesn’t help is the fact that… well, to put it mildly, I come from a rather… influential family.”
Poe frowns. “Influential?”
“Ever heard of the L/N Trading System, started operating around Alaris?”
Poe is silent for a moment. Then, realization crosses his face and he looks at you in horror. “Your family created that?”
“Unfortunately, yes.”
“That system is- it’s inhumane, it’s cruel! It’s slavery!”
“Believe me, I know. And trust me, I started hating it as soon as I was old enough to understand it. Why d’you think I abandoned the business meeting earlier?”
“Wait, if your parents are here… does that mean shit like that trading system is going down here on Kijimi?”
“Well, how am I supposed to know, dumbass, I’m not at the meeting!”
“You’re ridiculous.”
You scoff. “You’ve known me for, what, a total of five hours if you put together today and that day ten years ago? Poe, you hardly know me.”
Poe is silent for a moment. “Maybe I’d like to.”
You stop in your tracks. “You’d like to what?”
“I’d like to get to know you better,” he says calmly. “I mean it.”
You blink. You blink again. “I just told you that I’m heir to the throne of one of the most inhumane, dark side-supporting organizations in the galaxy and you want to be, what, friends? With me?”
“What’s so bad about friends?”
“Well, nothing, but…”
“But?” Poe looks at you expectantly and somehow you’ve lost the ability to form words. You stare at him for a moment before you actually say anything.
“I just… I guess I don’t have many friends right now.”
“Well, there’s a new one on your roster named Poe Dameron.” You laugh a little and Poe’s face lights up at the sound of it. “Now, if we’re gonna be friends and you’re off fuck knows where doing fuck knows what with your anti-Resistance parents, we need a means of communication that works across the galaxy. I refuse to lose you for another decade.”

random thought dump bc new hyperfixation alert
TW for death and frightening/distressing elements below!
Since I'm fixated on the idea of Pokepasta (pokemon creepypastas) and just video game horror in general, we need to expand on some of the ones that exist already outside of their source material.
Let's take the 'Faceless' glitch in Genshin. Sure it's a graphical glitch or a weird occurance of Ayato/Itto/etc found in a 'pirated' copy from a sketchy site, but what if it could be a virus that could infect the REAL copy of Genshin?
Imagine. You're playing and you come across a random, t-posing character you don't have, but when you go near the entity the game crashes or all background ambience/music just...stops.
There could also be a story a la Strangled Red with Ayato and Itto. Some sort of betrayal leads the oni (rather than Ayato) to strangle his best friend to death and occasionally break the 4th wall.
My other thoughts involved a weird screenshot of Kaeya I found that I drew, along with a glitch my lovely friend Foxy found with Aether. I'll be making art/writing of that soon (note: MY WRITING IS NOT THE BEST, but it fits the cliche creepypasta format. lol)
As someone who has loved internet horror since they were a wee lad on the internet, I adore finding other ways to make things horrifying moreso than they already are.

Cutting that ramble off, I have a few ideas for these! Since I have the time lol
The Faceless is a virus group that eventually hacked into Genshin's master copy and infected thousands of new users and old users via 'update' that fixed certain things with Ayato. However, it gave Ayato self awareness, and they also released a fake patch involving Itto. These copies of the two characters often cannot render with their head model in the game. The story follows an unsuspecting Genshin user downloading this patches and experiencing the horrors that ensue.
Disintegrated Kaeya is based on that weird screenshot I found. This follows a user discovering an odd document in the game files and using it to their advantage, causing (again) Kaeya to notice he's just a game character and eventually killing off the main cast in frustration that only he came to this realization.
Alternate Aether (YES THAT KIND OF ALTERNATE) is a glitch within one of the quests (I think it was Albedo's first one? I don't remember) where you see an Aether without the glowy elements of his outfit. Slowly, this Aether impersonates the player and eventually makes the game no longer playable for the player.

Hopping on this (well-informed) hate train to ask your thoughts on foc*llette? I noticed a lot of nvfrs make the switch as if that makes it any better. I thought it was pretty clear in Furina’s sq that Focalors was pretty much everyone’s big sister, to put it simply…
"well-informed hate train" took me out ngl but it's definitely an accurate way to describe whatever's happening here
since I've mentioned I believe furina and focalors to be different characters with different experiences and different minds technically what I think of the idea of furina and neuvi romantically doesn't apply with focalors, but I do think 1. it's deeply heterosexual and boring as hell 2. the fans are annoying and conflate it with nvfri so like even if I didn't mind it at first the fans made me dislike it and 3. it's also kinda weird for a bunch of reasons which I might as well elaborate on
so dragons in teyvat have been textually colonized by celestia, like it's a 1:1 comparison it's not particularly difficult to get that, so I'm not exactly comfortable imagining neuvi romantically invested with an archon no matter who they are. in fact I think even something like neuvi being as sad as he was during her execution scene and afterwards was kinda forced, considerng he's never hidden his resentment for celestia nor gods
you could argue he's inherently kind and felt sad she had to go to such lengths, which, well, yeah obviously. but other than what I've already mentioned there's the fact he straight up didn't know her until 5min prior so it was all a bit much
it also really undermines the fact the execution was an act of righteousness, oppressed groups don't owe gratitude to their oppressors for giving up on their privilege in the name of doing good. so the framing being entirely on how sad and tragic this sacrifice is and make the colonized character be the one to express said sorrow was... ehh a bad look. yes he's kind, and part of the emotional reaction must have been bc he learned of what furina went through and bc he finally found the answer to what he's supposed to do in his life, but it was still sketchy framing when you consider the bigger picture and the themes it touches on. ok tangent over bc this is barely relevant
you're also onto something in the way focalors is a sort of bigger sister bc she is a mentor figure, though only symbolically. in a way her leaving furina 500 years ago, revealing to neuvi her reason for inviting him to the court, handing over her powers and leaving both furina and neuvi for good ties back to the moment in a coming of age narrative in which figures that give guidance and mentorship leave and you're left by yourself to learn to stand on your own. obviously in this case it's only symbolic bc neuvi literally looks like a man in his 50s and they didn't know each other at all, but it terms of story beats it ties back into the main theme of the region. that's how I interpret it, and as always (bc I'm a romance hater) I think the canon dynamic is more interesting if kept as it is and not potrayed as romantic for the sake of it
also it's just weird bc she looks identical to furina like idk my man. I've talked ad nauseam about why I think neuvi fills the role of a guardian figure both in the text and symbolically, I'm not gonna feel comfortable imagining him romancing someone who looks like his pseudo-daughter what kind of freudian nightmare would that be😭

SO ! ampen right ? my little guy ? my baby girl ? my beloved ? I'm gonna talk mostly abt their physical design than their other details bcs I have more notes abt their physical appearance than anything :]
I have no idea what they are, I kinda just started drawing her abhdjsjsj but I think the two most notable animals he could conceivably be are probably a fox and a dragon of some sort (original I know) however I do want to give an honorable mention to my first draft of them, bcs goddamn I changed a lot abt her bsjdhsjjs. at first he was just completely a dog but I decided to give them those 3 fingered claw/hoof things, here's the very sketchy guy herself who inspired Ampen:
yeah snndjsn basically the only thing that stayed the same was the vague color scheme and the "hooves" changed from the hands to the feet. a lot of ampens physical design was just cool things I saw in other fursuits that I thought would be cool, like I just loooove the hoof feet, they look v cool and I just like them a lot, so I included them ! (I didn't in my first real drawing of ampen but then I did on their character sheet) same with the tail, I'm p sure at the time of ampens actual creation I had recently seen a dragon fursuit with that kind of tail and was obsessed with it, I tried so many different tails for him and none of them were looking quite right until I tried their current tail, and I love it . the dragon bit also comes out in her muzzle, it's a bit more pointed and sharp than a canine muzzle would be, again mostly just bcs I think it looks neat :] and I knew I wanted my fursona to have big ol ears from the very beginning, I didn't put them on ampen-rough-draft bcs I didn't start with the intent for him to be my fursona sbjdjdjs but anyways- the fur pattern took me a while to come up with, I started with just vague splotches of color in random spots, messed around with specific colors, I don't think I decided on the pink stitch mark things until like- the very end dnjsjjd I have no idea where I came up with it , I was just trying random things and hoping they looked right lmao-
I gave them glasses bcs . I have glasses . and I think it's cute and there aren't enough furrys with glasses :3 then added the piercings bcs I think they look cool and that's really it bajshjejskwks
anyways , now for the couple things that aren't visible on a drawing, I imagine her being like 5'4 MAX , he's pretty short . mostly bcs I am v short and plan to actually make ampen, and that's a height I could realistically get to accounting for the ears hdjwjdjjejdke anyways, I don't really have many other little facts about them since they're basically just me personality-wise, so make of that what you will ! I will however GLADLY answer more specific questions if you (or anyone else 👀) have them bcs it will give me an excuse to come up with answers abhdjsjdjsjjd

Hmm, we can call this a post canon AU, lol.
I think Mickey is absolutely someone who often needs to square things in his own head before he commits. Sort of like when he came out, once he did it, he did it and fuck anyone who gives him shit about it even if he was still coming to terms with it. He says in canon that he likes things he can see and touch as opposed to imagination so I think he’s the type to turn stuff over in his head, consider all the angles he can think of, and once he feels solid enough about it, he plows forward.
So yeah, the idea of a trial run with Tony’s toddler is right up his alley, I think. He doesn’t wanna get Ian’s hopes up but he also doesn’t wanna make it a big deal or have to fucking talk about it so rent-a-kid it is. (I’m gonna call her Abigail. All the Milkovich kids’ names can be nicknames for saint names which I find super interesting as unexplored worldbuilding.)
Between Liam and Franny, Mickey’s probably got the most experience with kids Nicky and Tommy’s age so I def think he’d be pretty comfortable with them. I don’t remember us seeing a lot of Mickey caring for Yev until Yev was a bit older? There was Svet and Mandy around plus Mickey was dealing with Ian being sick for the initial time, iirc. So I could see Mickey being a lot more hesitant about an actual tiny, can’t hold their own head up baby. This would also help reconcile the difference between wedding day Mickey saying “plenty of strays running around the neighborhood” vs his reaction to Ian wanting the crib. Something along the lines of the difference between a kid big enough to be more of an independent being versus a baby totally dependent on you? Probably some childhood, too-small to fight back trauma to unpack there.
Also, shhhh, let’s pretend I didn’t fuck up and write Joey when I meant Jamie. The baby is Jamie’s and she’s barely a few months old, I think. I have a soft spot for Jamie since he helped with the Gallavich wedding and came real close to getting his ass beat by Terry for them. I think after what happened in the show, Mandy takes every precaution to avoid getting pregnant. Idk that I see her having kids really, but maybe. But the baby, who I’m gonna call Ruth bc 1, Ruthie is an adorable nickname and Ian would absolutely call her that, and 2, the Baby Ruth jokes write themselves and Mickey without a doubt gets so much joy over yelling “Yo, Baby Ruth!” across the parking lot when she’s in high school. He is 100% the dad who embarrasses his kids in good fun whenever he can.
Ian is a better person than I am-> Ian is just glad Mickey isn’t killing someone, stealing something, or in jail. His only thought as he knocked on the door (he left his keys since he was going through airport security) was ‘if he’s doing sketchy shit again, I’m handcuffing him to the radiator’ which yeah, has potential but not if Mickey goes back to prison. Kids, Ian can handle. Ian loves kids. Unless these kids are stolen. Wait a minute. Mick? Mickey, unlock the door. Damnit, Milkovich, get your ass out here and explain!
(Mick does explain and Ian does make the soft dopey face and they get to kiss for exactly two minutes before getting hit in the side of the head with a toy car that Nicky and Tommy each swear the other threw.) 🦖

I don’t remember us seeing a lot of Mickey caring for Yev until Yev was a bit older? -> yeah because s4 cuts with I&M moving in with Svetlana and Yevgeny in the middle of the winter (Yevgeny was also born in beginning of that winter I think), we blink and s5 is in the summer. so we missed a whole lot but Ian seems incredibly comfortable, so I am assuming he and Mickey took care of him? but mostly Ian. But again, this is a headcanon, we can change canon to whatever we feel like.

He's not blaming him, he's just making sure. Because he loves the idea of having the kids, but not if he's alone with them because Mickey is IN PRISON AGAIN.
Legends say it's the longest kiss they got to have uninterrupted for the next 4 years. (well, at least until the kids are asleep in their beds.)

3; What was their first impression of each other?
Gage knew of her before she knew of him, so he had time to form assumptions. He knew she was a manager type in a shipping company/trade network across the east coast, and he knew she came from wealth. Expected someone like Mags, someone prissy and full of herself. More importantly, the circumstances of Florence working with the Minutemen on the partnership was sketchy as hell, and he didn't trust Isadora's judgment yet, so he went to investigate himself.
Florence, for her part, had just moved to Sanctuary to help stabilize the Minutemen's place in the trade network, and then this guy shows up at her office, clearly a raider, clearly pretending he's definitely not a raider and definitely not looking for something.
So, Gage's first impression was suspicion with some dread at the thought of dealing with another rich girl. Florence knew she was being assessed and psychoanalysed by someone starting out with a bone to pick.
Gage is lucky Flora doesn't hold grudges about shit like that.
18; How do they care for one another when one of them is wounded or sick?
Florence is very doting to people she cares for, and is, for lack of a better way to describe it, kind of house-wifey, so she's ON that shit. Will call him an idiot when he gets hurt as she stitches him up, but he's still gonna have to deal with her coddling. She's a hoverer. Gage will grumble and bitch, but never actually turns her away.
Gage, when something's wrong with Flo, is...neurotic. Sick? Okay, that's fine, she just needs to rest and take her—Flo, why are you in the office? Forget the damn—go to bed. You're barely standing. She's a "I'll just power through" kind of person and it drives him crazy.
If she's HURT?
Florence (in my Canon, ignore in-game) isn't a fighter, she's a business woman. This isn't someone who's on the field. So, something/one would have had to attack her out of nowhere.
Gage is a fucking nightmare to deal with in this scenario. Hovers, flinches at the slightest hint she's hurt or in pain, eye twitches when she still insists she's fine to work. Anyone who wants to see her gets grilled, God forbid you somehow approach her without him noticing. Becomes the most annoying bodyguard. He can't do much besides protect her while she recovers, he's not a doctor. Paranoid as hell, and rides Isadora's ass to make sure it doesn't happen again.
Florence finds this adorable.
27; How do they say 'I love you' non-verbally?
Florence's love language leans towards Acts of Service and Gift Giving. Cooks for him, fixes up his armor and clothes, makes him a new, safer/comfier eyepatch. She's quick to say It, but quicker to express it. She's not a shy, insecure person and has no reservations. So, hope Gage adapts quickly to being spoiled like some kind of purse dog.
He does not, being the emotionally stunted asshole he is.
Gage...I've described him as a feral tom cat that will take food, but hisses and runs if you try to pet it. Thats...yeah. As time goes on, he gets better with it, but habits die hard.
His first real act of love is something literally no one could notice; he stops trying to read into her, psychoanalyze her. Stops the "I need to be two steps ahead" thing and lets himself let her be...just a person, not someone to be used, not someone up to something. It sounds weird, but for Gage...that's something no one else has gotten, not even Isadora gets that. It's purely a mental thing that Gage and Gage alone knows about, but it's more significant than one could fathom.
The first noticeable thing is a lot simpler, and partially on Isadora's recommendation. He just takes her to the shooting ranges and teaches her how to handle a gun. Gage is not a teaching sort, but he is protective, and anyone watching would notice how careful he is hovering around her, touching her to help adjust her holds on firearms.
45; How do they support each other?
Gage acts as a bodyguard and the muscle to help her get her way. Flora can be scary, but sometimes, getting a brahmin baron to hold up his part of the deal needs more than talk.
Florence sweet-talks her way into getting the local traders and doctors to give Isadora and her party some generous discounts, which helps them all, but was really intended for Gage.
In their emotional relationship? Florence and Gage don't need much. Gage wants someone who thinks like he does and doesn't pity him, and Florence wants someone who will listen to her and respect her for her skills. A snapshot of what this looks like is just Florence going through an extensive explanation of future negotiations and economic development while Gage listens and occasionally gives his opinion.
For a more emotional need...Gage needs space when he's upset for any reason, Florence needs grounding because she tends to drift and it can be hard for her to 'come back'. They compromise. Gage doesn't want to talk? They don't talk, he holds her and plays with her hair. It's a very quiet relationship. On the rare occasion Gage does want to vent, Florence listens and doesn't tell him how to feel, what do to. He appreciates that she doesn't try to guide him, like Isadora is prone to.

also idk how to word this rly, but what level of perfection do think Cyrus held Erica to? like perfection as a spy? or just perfection in general? i also like to think that while yes, Erica was wary of people before Joshua (bc of what Cyrus told her) she was just mainly awkward, and then Joshua came along they were besties, the dynamic duo, then he died and she was like “oh Grandad was right to a degree” and she became sort of “Ice Queen” (bc it was given to her by Zoe, a first yr so-) -t1sb
Okay, so I think Cyrus held Erica to pretty high standards in terms of being a spy, because anything but perfection is *going* to compromise the mission and the standard has to be high even if people don’t meet it every time. That being said, I do think that a significant portion of the pressure Erica feels come from herself. Like, she’s got all this potential to be the best spy in history, and every time she doesn’t meet that benchmark she failed (which isn’t me projecting my own perfectionist tendencies onto her even a little bit, no ma’am).
And I’ve gone into my thoughts on Joshua before (basically that having him be a red flag parade isn’t terribly interesting to me), but as far as Erica’s relationship to other people in general, just because Zoe is the one who gave her the Ice Queen nickname earlier that year specifically, that doesn’t mean that her more anti-social tendencies weren’t manifest from long before that. Going back to most of her drive for perfection being internal, I think she’s trying to be as tuned in and focused on being the best and her peers not only aren’t on her skill level, they’re also not on her intensity level. Given that Erica identifies Joshua as the most promising undercover agent the agency had seen (or something to that effect), we can assume that Joshua had at least a similar level intensity, and that was probably what they bonded over. I could see him *maybe* making a joke about something sketchy, but it my book it would have to remain a one-off incident, because if it was a more regular thing, I could see Erica getting at least a little suspicious, and the scene is the farmhouse hits so much harder if she didn’t see it coming. Y’know?
Also, for that scene you described, I’d make it less about comparing Ben and Joshua and more about how Erica is so tired of living her life isolated and she’s not going to that anymore because if the last year and a half has taught her anything, it’s that people need other people in their lives (we can tie this back to Ben as the first person to really demonstrate that it *can* be done while still being a successful spy, but it’s not a necessary requirement). She doesn’t know that Ben’s not going to betray her somewhere down the line (seeing as she doesn’t have view we do of this all being a children’s series with Ben being the audience insert), but that’s not the point. That’s not why the relationship is so significant.

so i may be looking for some reassurance rn? bc i just feel quite scared and anxious about the new year. it’s really bc i’ll be moving to a whole new area away from my parents for college since i’ll (finally) be attending in-person classes. the area is quite... it’s very intimidating, sorts of crime happen but i have no choice since that’s where my college is and i do live quite far as well. it’ll be a really huge adjustment for me, especially considering the fact that i am also heavily introverted and i haven’t really made any college friends as well through online classes, so i really don’t know anyone. i’m also expecting a lot of different personalities when i meet new people. i just feel very intimidated. anxious. i’m not as excited as i was last year during the new years, i’m really expecting so many difficulties this year and i’m scared. i’m scared i’ll be traumatized at some point and go back into the depressive state i was in before, again. i want to be happy and invincible but i’m afraid this year won’t be good to me because of all this. i’m not sure how i can calm myself down, i’ve tried my usual ways but i just keep coming back to this. would love and appreciate your thoughts on this, if you have the time. thank you so much <3

You have a lot of valid feelings and it’s totally normal to feel anxious before a big change. But don’t convince yourself that you won’t make friends or will be traumatized or have a bad time. If you tell yourself these things before you get there, they will come true. You won’t know what it’s like or what sort of people you will meet until you get there. And you’re definitely not the only one feeling the way you’re feeling. I would go in with 0 expectations and just learn the ways of your college for yourself. I promise college isn’t as scary and daunting as it seems. It’s a lot of big changes but most of the changes are really good. Just always remember that whatever happens is meant to happy and will eventually lead you in the right direction.
I also lived in a city when I was in college and had to walk 40 minutes from my apartment to campus, sometimes in the dark. It’s gonna be sketchy at night no matter where you are so here are some safety tips I used
Avoid walking anywhere alone if you can. If you have no one to walk with, catch up to strangers who are walking the same direction and walk close to them. It’ll look like you’re in the group or at least reassure you that you’re not alone
If you’re walking and totally alone, pretend you’re on the phone. I would usually pretend I was talking to my boyfriend or dad and loudly tell him I was on my home to him so anyone e listening knows there is someone in expecting me home
I would also mention something about the fake boyfriend/dad being a cop if I had to walk past a group of men
If you have keys, put them between your fingers like wolverine so if you have to punch someone, it’ll hurt more
I had a rape whistle on my keychain as well as mace on me at ALL times. I kept them in an easily accessible place so I could use them as soon as I need them
Keep your head down when walking past strangers bc making eye contact with them usually invites a conversation
If someone tries to stop you to talk to you, don’t stop. Keep walking. You can answer them but say you’re late and have to go
If you order food to where you live, call inside “foods here” so the delivery person doesn’t think you’re alone
