babe wake up lila’s thoughts on yellowjackets 02x04 just dropped. as per usual spoilers below cut. i loved this week’s ep so very hyped to share my thoughts!
- obsessed w/ fugue state tai at jessica roberts’ house. she was on a fucking mission and i respect it. i really liked having her wake up on the way to find van, i was kinda hoping she’d only come to once arriving at van’s shop but i liked to see that tai still had the same goal as other tai
- kinda obsessed with the new cover of the intro song, i mean it always goes so hard but it definitely slapped this week, wonder if it’ll stay this way for the rest of the season or not
- I DO NOT TRUST WALTER he knows what misty likes just too well. the musicals, the flattery, calling her a good friend, he wants something from her and he is trying to get her to trust him. i doubt she will and i want him to die at her hand but we’ll see as long as they don’t end up a couple i’m chill
- misty and crystal singing and annoying the others i love these loser girls so much
- who do we think stole some of the bear? i would say ben but like it would be hard for him to get out there without anyone noticing and i don’t think he has the motivation to go through extra effort for food rn. maybe javi? i don’t think sleep walking tai bc van has been following her. adding this to the list of cabin mysteries right next to who shit in the piss bucket
- “what exactly would you do about it, eat me?” ben no longer gives a fuck he is so ready to be bitchy to these cannibal teenagers and i love that for him
- very interested by lottie this episode oh boy, but as i’m going chronologically lets start with her silence when the hunting competition was proposed. it’s really interesting to me how she doesn’t seem to want this at all, like she does not want the influence she has over the girls, she does not want to be seen as this power and i’m intrigued to know if that’ll change at all
- now onto adult lottie: i want to know if something in particular happened to make her so scared of her visions bc in the wilderness so far she’s just been kinda going along with them so i’m curious to see when that shift occurs
- need to know what the dripping is that mari hears and absolutely loved her asking akilah to help her find it. mari is a hater to everyone but her we love to see it
- AKILAH MY BEST FRIEND AKILAH THE LITTLE MOUSE FRIEND SO FUCKING CUTE AKILAH IS JUST LIKE ME FOR REAL
- lottie returned to bear heart altar to perform a blood sacrifice —> did this bring the moose in some way?
- obsessed with nat being so protective over lisa when they were with her mother that was so sweet nat really is the kindest of the bunch
- “not a bad person just a bad criminal” shauna you are in not position to judge how good a criminal someone is you also kinda suck at it
- nat taking the fish was so cute
- i don’t even know what to say about lottie’s hallucination except i’m in pain and lottie lee is real we won but i’m still very sad
- nat after they lost the moose made me want to cry. she is putting so much pressure on herself to feed everyone and just ugh she is making me feel things. and then her blaming herself for lottie almost dying too my girl <3
- LOTTIENAT that’s it that’s all i have for the tub scene
- so intrigued by the queen of hearts w/ eyes scratched out, maybe some connection to man w/ no eyes? connection to antler queen? idk maybe we will see lottie find out about man w/ no eyes and that’ll mean something?
- what the fuck happened to javi. where was he. how’d he survive. what’s wrong with him. is that even the real javi. i have many questions
- i think that van becoming increasingly convinced that tai has a connection to wilderness is going to lead to tai leaning into it more to stay close to van. their dynamic will probably start to shift more and i’m so interested to see how
- ok now onto the best part: ADULT TAIVAN THEY ARE HERE WE HAVE THEM MY BELOVEDS HAVE BEEN REUNITED
- just van’s expression when seeing tai, the little barely there smile as she says her name, her little shop, she’s real she’s here i love her she’s amazing thank you lauren

- first of all taivan in the sex ed scene hehe my girlies more pre crash moments of them PLEASE, i’d love a flashback to like their friendship/start of relationship
- lottie being horrified at misty showing up at the cult so real. imagine you’re just trying to vibe w/ your homoerotic friend then said friend’s other homoerotic friend shows up? a rough day
- “it honestly would’ve been better if she just had sex with him” SHAUNA MY BITCH WORST MOTHER OF THE YEAR
- mari saying she hopes shauna doesn’t die top five things not to say when your friend is about to give birth with no medical care in the middle of fucking no where
- nat was wounding me this episode, she has so much guilt and hates herself for having survived its just awful
- van rightly pissed about tai’s sleepwalking (especially kiss). she clearly does not want to be dragged into this and honestly valid but bc she’s van she’s gonna let herself be dragged in
- “you’re married taissa there’s no us anymore” everything van says to tai just leads me to want to know more about how their relationship ended bc clearly she’s not happy that it did
- misty being unable to focus on the birth bc of crystal was so sad, the bit where she saw the blood on her hands that was intercut with crystal’s death was great very nice scene
- lottie’s psychiatrist is so sketchy. like the encouragement of the visions is so bizarre and just bad vibes
- thinking that “it” influenced travis, nat, and misty to return to lottie’s life
- “it was part of us” “the god of that place, we did terrible things in it’s name” WHAT DID THEY FUCKING DO also furthering my agenda that the antler queen is it’s own spirit/entity rather than one of the girls
- tai trying to flirt with van BITCH YOUR WIFE IS IN THE HOSPITAL YOUR KID IS GOD KNOWS WHERE
- TAI PUTTING THE DEER BONE NECKLACE IN SHAUNA’S HAND YEAH THAT’S THE GOOD STUFF like it saved van maybe it will save shauna and i mean hey she didn’t die so
- jackie’s voice, i knew she’d have some sort of presence during birth and definitely liked this especially given it was in the dream
- “yeah the past where we thought being happy was something that was possible not what happened” OW?????
- van having given up on love </3 her relationship with tai really did a number on her huh. representation for the girlies that never get over anything ever
- lisa giving nat the fish and that whole conversation was so good their friendship is important to me
- jeff just fucking jamming to “fuck the police” was hilarious. yes they need to tune down the jeff this season but i did enjoy this bit
- this is not plot related but honestly so glad the baby did not survive bc those few minutes of baby crying were making me insane i cannot handle the sound of babies crying (one of many reasons i will never have children lol)
- loved loved loved shauna’s monologue to creepy cop man, just saying out loud that literally her whole life is how it is because of guilt just UGH melanie did amazingly (as always)
- dream lottie being weird with the baby so fun so good “we need to feed” —> “he needs to feed”
- callie continuing to be so proud of herself about lying to the cops this is her season for real
- i should’ve known the baby was doomed the second it started to nurse like that and shauna being so loving to it were my real red flags that something was weird
- “if you see any barrels of kool aid powder in there consider me on call for an extraction” van i love you. also her being like lets leave and just go to ihop or something
- misty asking if taivan is back together she’s so real for that
- the moment of van seeing lottie and lottie seeing that they’re all there ugh i cannot wait to see the interactions between them all next week
- OK dream baby eating time: my favorite part was nat, the way she was wiping the blood from her mouth when she saw shauna, the guilt in her eyes, just perfect. also ben being the only other one who looked fully human/guilty in the scene. and then the rest of them being so animalistic i just loved it. bummed we didn’t get real baby eating but this is a good compromise i think
- shauna saying “why can’t you hear him crying” was so fucking heartbreaking sophie nelisse needs all the awards. i did not think i would be satisfied with the baby being stillborn but i loved the way they did it. i do hope that next episode we do see the body, specifically for one reason and that is i want shauna to keep seeing jackie in the baby. like she looks at it once and sees jackie’s eyes, next look it has her nose, etc. maybe even give it some sort of animal features at some point. i just want her to not be able to look at the corpse and see a baby. i want her to look at it and see jackie and her own guilt. next week’s episode is called “burial” so i’m assuming they will be disposing of the body and i want shauna to look at it as it’s being dispose of and just see jackie laying there instead. do you see my vision? i think it would be very fun. either that or they actually eat the baby. also we better get some placenta eating next episode bc not eating it would be a huge waste

hello yellowjackets pals i am FINALLY getting around to my 02x07 recap. i moved out of my dorm on friday and accidentally put my notebook w/ my episode notes in a storage bin rather than in my tote bag but i finally unpacked it so here we go. also these might be less detailed than usual bc it has been a few days so i may or may not be able to actually figure out what i was on about in my notes so whoops and i’ve also shared a lot of my overall thoughts already. spoilers below cut as per usual
- first just wanna share that i wrote the phrase “new emotional support corpse just dropped” upon seeing shauna clinging to the dead baby
- “i need you van” “i need you too” something that can be so important to me actually
- liked the stuff with tai talking to lottie about sleepwalking/other tai, “she’s not gone and that’s a good thing”, the connection other tai has to the wilderness, how she doesn’t want to be suppressed. good stuff especially as i am interpreting her re-emerging as being connected to van’s illness
- shauna in the meat shed crying for jackie was so fucking heartbreaking, i am kinda bummed we didn’t see ghost jackie this week but i do also like the idea of not being able to get her when she actually needs her
- and then shauna being unable to bond with/connect with/truly love callie and how it all comes back to wilderness baby and ultimately jackie like jesus fucking christ this woman should never have had a kid
- another quote from my notes: “girl get up nat is right there” this was about misty calling walter i need her to hurry the fuck up and kill him, he has some weird ulterior motive and i’m sick of him too much of this man (and men in general this season but alas)
- oh this was a bit of topic but when misty was digging in the snow for crystal the fake snow looked SO BAD my new england ass was pained by it like i’m sorry it was really distracting
- also where the fuck is crystal’s body
- ok so i did love the scene with misty talking ben off the ledge but also i really think he should’ve died like i love our doomed king but they are just pushing off the inevitable at this point that man needs to die
- tai taking off her wedding ring taivan kiss van doesn’t have the time to wait for her i’m so emotional about them not gonna spend much time on it here bc i have done nothing but post about them but yeah screaming crying etc
- lottie’s psychiatrist being a hallucination was so good ugh loved that and when she appeared as the antler queen just yes perfect furthering my antler queen is her own separate entity agenda
- “i think it might be time we stop resisting” ok dyke
- still not over how tai smacked van’s leg when she teased misty <3 just like the *whispers* “cunt” scene ugh i love my little lesbos
- the fact that most of them don’t have super clear memories of what happened out there but still know they did awful things UGH
- van refusing tai trying to help her ugh
- taivan dancing together being smitten with each other like they’re kids again it fucking hurts ok
- also ugh the shauna beating up lottie scene was so fucking hard to watch. i don’t have much to add to the conversation about it but yeah that was one of the few times i’ve had to look away while watching this show

hello little gay people who live in my phone, here are my thoughts on yellowjackets 02x03. spoilers below cut
first of all! lets talk taivan bc i feel like we got some good stuff from them this week so i’m starting there bc i love them
- i felt so bad for tai when she had the realization of what happened. like she had no idea and it’s so upsetting like she had to process that not only did she do that but everyone else did it willingly! also how van just immediately tells her that she ate the face, van, baby, i love you but maybe don’t immediately tell your gf that she ate someone’s face in her sleep. also interesting to me that she went for the face given that in 02x01 she tries to eat van’s face in her sleep
- van following tai when she sleepwalked, she’s so so so worried for her and i feel like in this episode she really fully sees how bad it is. finding out about the man w/ no eyes, sleepwalking tai not being tai, it’s all super wild and i want to learn more i wanna know what her connection to the supernatural is and being drawn to the rune was interesting
- during the bird scene when van was collecting them like lottie said, the way tai was looking at her made me sad. like we know the cult shit is causing issues between them but i don’t like seeing it. i do think i read somewhere that tai ends up getting more into it to stay closer to van so that’ll be interesting to see
- ok now onto the big moment for the taivan girlies: THE FUCKING MIRROR SCENE i’m obsessed mirror tai mouthing “go to her” and forming the doomcoming mask with her hands oh my god i can’t. and then her immediately running out at taking her assistant’s (or advisor or whoever that lady is) and calling jessica roberts (rip). i wanna know how she ends up finding van cause we know jessica can’t help anymore but yeah just the desperation to go find her in that moment was a lot for me and i cannot wait to get adult van next week
alright now onto some more general thoughts that aren’t taivan
- once again feeling terrible for our doomed king, ben. the scenes where he was remembering paul and imagining having gone to him instead of getting on the plane… my poor guy :( also him hallucinating rabid gen was great and honestly valid. at this point i honestly feel like ben’s gonna end up killing himself, whether he just like stops eating or like full on commits suicide i honestly think he’s just gonna die then get eaten rather than being killed for food
- i loved the scene of nat just staring at jackie’s body. her guilt and shame was so clear and just demonstrated well between that scene and what she said to the bones after dropping them off at the plane
- i don’t trust walter. the way he instantly jumped to flattering misty in exactly the way that works on her makes me suspicious and i wanna know what he’s up to. other than that mostly didn’t care about him and misty’s shenanigans except that its leading them to lottie and therefore our mistynat reunion
- lottie telling shauna that jackie would’ve wanted shauna to eat her and shauna saying she wanted to eat her… the homoeroticism of cannibalism my beloved
- loved loved loved the bits with akilah this episode, her and tai talking, her talking about her nephew, it was just SO sweet and so wonderful and i love her
- misty and crystal agreeing that jackie was tasty, crystal telling misty about absorbing her twin in the womb, these two are enabling each other’s weirdness and i’m obsessed with their loser girl friendship
- nat hallucinating the moose was interesting bc she’s one of the few main girls that hadn’t hallucinated yet so wonder what that means
- listen. shauna threatening the dude was incredible, i love my unhinged milf, but like the car theft thing took up too much time and also we got too much jeff this episode
- misty’s gift at the baby shower killed me. loved nat, tai, and van talking shit about it that was great but like what the fuck misty why are you like this
- adult lottie seeing the hives bleeding and bees dead was really interested and i wanna know what it means
overall a pretty strong episode. i’m glad that in the wilderness they had a fairly chill time given everything, like we don’t need a big shocking scene each episode and this one was more about dealing with shit and i liked that. my biggest issue this week is, as many people are saying, too much men (ben is the exception bc he’s the only man on this show i really care about)

well pals here we are, the final eat her ear friday of yellowjackets season 2. this post is gonna be a little different than my usual recaps as i’ll focus on more just kinda discussing what i liked, what i didn’t like, what i think might happen next, instead of the more stream of conscious style deal i usually do and it’ll be organized as all teen timeline thoughts followed by all adult timeline thoughts. anyway i have loved yellowjackets blogging with you all this season and cannot wait to continue being insane about this show with all the cool people on this webbed site. spoilers below cut
teen timeline episode thoughts:
- i gotta say teen timeline was top tier this week. i loved every second of the wilderness time from the second it begun.
-just everything about how javi was handled was great, seeing travis’s grief at the start, how shauna butchered javi, van and travis’s talk, travis taking a bite out of javi’s heart, it all just went hard. i wonder if the bite of the raw heart will become a part of the hunt ritual. like the person closest to the hunted or perhaps the person who killed them bites into the heart before cooking it bc i’d fuck with that
- fucking coach man. he really should’ve died this season. he is the only man on this show i truly like but they had to ruin that by just drawing out his life. seriously what was the point of all his paul stuff and his suicide attempt and his clear hopelessness if he wasn’t gonna die. i do think that the girls are gonna hunt him down in s3, like they’ll track him to the cave and kill and eat him then take the cave as their’s. fingers crossed. sorry coach my guy i liked you but you need to die eventually. also fucker burnt down the cabin. what the fuck dude i know you think the girls are monsters but like you’re gonna try to kill them all for it?
- NAT ANTLER QUEEN ok i fucking loved this. lottie no longer being able to hear the wilderness. her passing on the role she never even wanted. nat always having been it’s favorite. nat’s horror turning into joy/acceptance. all the ways the girls pledged their loyalty to her. loved loved loved it cannot wait to see where it goes from here.
next up adult timeline episode thoughts:
- first of all too much of the men. like seriously walter swooping in and saving the day with his plan to frame kevyn for all the adam shit was just so meh. it would’ve been so much better if walter hadn’t been introduced and misty had been the one to pull that kinda shit. also pissed that creep cop lives to see another day get in losers we’re climbing through our computers to kill creep cop ourselves.
- i did really enjoy the recreating of the ritual scene, i thought it was very nicely done and shauna drawing the queen is not what i expected and i did like callie coming in to save her. also how during the ritual there were flashes to their teen selves i ate that shit up.
- ok now the main thing is obviously nat. her death was definitely frustrating. i think it could’ve worked had it happened later in the series or if it had been better set up just how it happened really fell flat. it does definitely seem like juliette wanted out so the writers had to change their plans. just nat’s story does not feel entirely complete and how it all works out from here really depends on how they play things going forward. i do think that there is a way for this to work plot wise i am just definitely concerned.
- so interested by our girl van. how she kinda lights up when lottie says that it worked. i think either van is cured or thinks she is and that that is gonna bring her back to her faith in the wilderness despite how she clearly wanted to leave it behind. so so so excited to see where her story goes especially alongside tai and lottie, there is just so much potential here and i hope they don’t fuck it up.
- finally it really felt like they were trying to hard to make a nice neat tidy ending for the adult timeline. like they wanted to wrap up as many plot points as possible which really doesn’t make sense given the amount of show that is supposedly planned. i’m definitely concerned that they’re gonna introduce some weird out of no where plot lines in the adult timeline to refill the empty space left by what was wrapped up here.

happy eat her ear friday gays! this episode broke my record for most notes, i got 5 whole pages so buckle up and here are my thoughts on 02x05
gonna get all the taivan stuff out first bc they are my best girls and i need to talk about them or i’ll go insane
- THE COLD OPEN van in her little shop, her house is so cute and so her. all her pride stuff <3 it being a place where she can mentor young queers <3 my heart can’t handle this
- i’m so glad that teen tai is going to lottie’s morning meeting things it’s just like. some basic therapy shit so glad it helps also HAPPY WIFE HAPPY LIFE <3
- how van talks to tai definitely fits in with my thoughts that tai was the one to end it (more on this in a minute)
- okay so i need to know the timeline of their relationship because now we know that they were together post rescue based on them being at shauna’s wedding together. also the thing with the pen is so endearing i love these dykes!
- akilah you’re so right tai is “totally whipped” its lovely
- i feel awful for adult van. like she is clearly just trying to live her life and was hurt by tai before but she wants to help her so bad even though it probably wouldn’t be good for her
- the oxycodone ok. so i assume that it’s either an addiction or for chronic pain (probably due to injuries received in wilderness). i think that if it is addiction that it probably started when she was looking after her mother -> started stealing meds -> got addicted (because i assume the thing about taking care of her sick mom was true bc that is very in character for her to do)
- also i feel like the bit about her mom definitely gives a bit more insight into that relationship, definitely seems like they had cut each other off (i’d assume van’s mom was homophobic etc.) but then because van is the way she is she still took her in
- i really liked van standing up for herself and telling tai basically like i will help you no matter what but you at least owe it to me to ask for help. because yeah van deserves to not be used by tai. she is right to be wary of tai just appearing back in her life due to sleepwalking issues. and as much as i love taivan and do think that they can heal together i also want van to do what is best for her
- van tucking tai in <3 also shoutout to @taissaaudrey for predicting that in our dms last night lol
- sleepwalking tai kissing van was kinda hot and i’m glad we’re all able to admit that
- “this isn’t where we’re supposed to be”
- excited to see them head to lottie’s next episode and see what happens going forward w/ adult taivan
alright now on to my general episode notes that are not about taivan
- obsessed with lottie just doing the 5 things you can see etc thing with the girls and have them form connections with each other. like no shit this is helpful it is basic therapeutic techniques i love it although i do think that being more in tune with the woods is making them more vulnerable to whatever entity is present which is concerning
- i am so sick of the weird undercover cop can we be done with that already please, good on callie for doing some digging on him
- more of akilah and her mouse friend <3
- very interested in mari making everyone draw cards. i’m wondering if this will lead to them hunting someone like we saw in the trailer. like drawing cards to see who will be hunted. i know in that one interview w/ sophie and melanie sophie mentioned drawing cards in relation to deciding who to eat so i think its possible
- walter continues to be sketchy by suggesting a game of two truths and a lie
- obsessed with how tai and akilah have kind of a sisterly thing going on. they are really doing the most to make akilah’s inevitable death hurt my soul. and i like akilah’s reasoning for doing lottie’s stuff, like it does seem like it would be super comforting to have something to put your faith in out there even if you don’t really believe in it
- ok travis blaming nat for it taking so long to find javi like come on dude. i know it fucking sucks ok, but like she was out there searching with you for two fucking months.
- more lottienat tension we love to see it
- ok i really thought misty and crystal were gonna kiss when they were sharing secrets. and then misty telling her about the black box! poor crystal we all knew it was coming but :( i’ll miss you loser girl theater kid
- of course misty has been keeping tabs on all the other survivors, interesting that lottie was too off the grid even for her though
- i knew walter was gonna be onto misty, doesn’t seem too bothered by it tho but i did love misty’s little tantrum that was great
- i am getting a bit sick of shauna and jeff badly attempting to cover up the murder can we move on
- lottie is gonna do something to that baby huh
- lottie has been trying to figure out what happened to travis and acknowledges that her stuff may have led to it
- shauna acknowledging the split in the team was really interesting, i didn’t really think any of them were gonna point it out yet and then her contractions start the poor thing and the storm
- weirdo cop being too obsessed with shauna case, checking the room, the fucking condom sniffing gross
- javi talking to ben was interesting and who is his friend? i’m leaning towards it being the antler queen entity (bc i think she might be her own entity) but it could also be other tai or ghost of jackie or laura lee
- the thing nat saw when she overdosed is whats really making me think that the antler queen is its own entity, her seeing it walking through the plane with all of them dead, “we brought it back with us”, there was a darkness out there “with us or in us”

hello friends here are my official thoughts on yellowjackets 02x02 brought to you by my four pages of notes from last night (spoilers below cut)
ok so breaking this up by starting with what i didn’t like. this is the first episode of yellowjackets where i really had moments where i was pretty unhappy with some choices so i wanna talk about those, why i didn’t like them, and how i wish it had gone
- very upset that jackie said the thing about shauna wishing she was her. like i feel like that is not the direction things were going in! we all know how homoerotic everything between them is and especially given the bit last episode where adult shauna told jeff about her fantasies of him with someone else (jackie). i am holding out hope for ghost jackie coming back and getting the love confession out of her so fingers crossed
- not thrilled with how the taissa confronting shauna about jackie bit went. i think that the makeup being the thing that pushed her over the edge was weird. i think they should’ve gone with what a lot of us were predicting where tai caught shauna kissing and/or eating the corpse and that being what made her be like ok we gotta get rid of this body. i just wanted more fucked up corpse stuff, ya know?
- did not like the random concern for the baby from tai, like idk i just feel like none of them are really focused on it rn and it just wasn’t necessary like she was concerned enough for shauna as a friend
- i didn’t love that there was more focus on travis looking for javi, idk i feel like that time would have been better used otherwise but i’m glad he now has fake closure at least so he stops being so obsessed with finding javi
- the nat/travis sex scene with lottie just there was just ugh. idk i wish the lottie/travis thing wasn’t going so in depth, wish they had chosen one of the other girls to be that figure but i mean watching travis’ descent into lottie’s shit is interesting
- i really wish they had put off the group cannibalism for at least one more episode. i’m bummed that shauna wasn’t the only one to eat jackie and i think some of the others just logically aren’t at the cannibalism point yet? like yes they were kind of trancelike but still idk it felt a little like they just wanted to get it in there so people would stop asking when it was happening
now onto what i liked/just general liveblog style thoughts (which there will probably be more of)
- gotta say the makeup scene was great (should’ve ended in a kiss tho) and i loved jackie encouraging shauna to eat her, the guilt of it in shauna, wish she actually had made the leap though
- ok taivan time! my favorite people to talk about lets go. van chasing after tai when she sleepwalked was great, i wonder if the pit she walked to was The Pit as in Pit Girl Pit but that’s a question for another time. when they get back to the cabin, van suggesting tai get help from lottie was really sweet although van being into lottie’s shit is obviously sowing the seeds of conflict between them. finally the little head kiss and the “i can feel your heartbeat” was so soft i love these girls with my whole being
- liked the snippets of the misty/crystal loser girl friendship in the background cannot wait to see more of them
- adult tai is going through it, i was excited to see the mirror thing start interested to see where the kind of “mirror self” thing goes
- lottie spying on nat since travis died is creepy but also great for the lottienat agenda and her going you’re welcome i think misty and lottie should work together on the keep nat from being self destructive project
- shauna being my poor pathetic little meow meow in the scene where tai calls her out teehee, wish she had put up more of a fight about cremating jackie like just lay on top of her or something girl be crazy just do it
- “so you lied to the cops to be feminist?” this is the season of callie being iconic i feel so bad for her though
- tai hallucinating sammy being at her place was SO interesting i really liked it
- travis going to lottie about the wilderness coming back to haunt him. i wanna know what’s up with that/if the wilderness is haunting the rest of the survivors similarly
- GHOST LAURA LEE THIS IS NOT A DRILL hope we see her again at some point <3
- i do wonder if lottie had more of a hand in travis’ death than she told nat but i do believe her honestly
- mari keeping up her being a cunt and making soup we love to see it!
- i LOVED shauna’s pre lighting jackie on fire speech: “i don’t even know where you end and i begin” YES and her ending it with saying she loves her when jackie’s last thoughts were being loved by shauna i need to lay down. also so appropriate that shauna was the one to light jackie, no one else could’ve done it
- tai and simone’s car crash, i feel like tai is probably gonna put blame on herself bc it was her fault and likely that and the conversation with simone in the car will be what leads to her seeking out van
- alright cannibalism time babey lets go
- “she wants us to”
- i adored the cutting between the like imagined feast and the cannibalism that was super well done and just overall a fantastic scene that will stick with me. also the girls all looked so hot in the feast scene so i am gay about it
- do wish there was more of the cannibalism shown but overall just incredible way to start things off
- also shauna would’ve eaten all of jackie even if the others were like ew no wtf lets be real

alright here we fucking go. i took 4 pages of notes on 02x01 last night, so here is the typed up/hopefully more sensical/overview of my thoughts on yellowjackets 02x01
also before i get into it i just wanna say that i literally felt high in the last like 5 minutes leading up to midnight. like exact same feelings as the time i took to much of an edible so yellowjackets is a drug confirmed
spoilers below the cut!
- obviously tai and van tying their arms together so tai doesn’t sleepwalk really stood out to me, i’m glad tai was able to tell van about the problem and that they were able to find a bit of a solution. also its just cute i love my little lesbians
- lottie’s rituals to protect nat and travis, found the blood water interesting and hope for more blood rituals cause that’s fun
- “primal, elemental self — nothing more painful than hiding that self” this lottie quote just stood out a bit and i liked it
- THE START OF THE JACKIE GHOST/HALLUCINATIONS i’m so ready i loved them playing mash and it playing out to describe shauna’s future as basically what it becomes. then her telling jackie about how things with jeff started? this better lead to a love confession i swear. then the ear and into her pocket it goes
- feeling bad for adult tai but like also simone does need to get out of there with sammi like run girl
- nat and travis still going out looking for javi is SO SAD cause like he must be dead but ugh poor travis (and other sentences i did not expect to type)
- gotta take a moment and appreciate how insane it is that it took and affair, murder, and blackmail for jeff and shauna to start communicating/have a decent relationship. also the thing about her being turned on by him with someone else? okay girl we know who you’re talking about
- THE EAR FONDLING SHE’S SO INSANE
- misty and crystal’s loser girl friendship already means the world to me i’m so ready
- curious as to if javi is actually alive bc lottie believes he is, i feel like at this point her shit is fairly accurate but we’ll see
- i laughed out loud at jeff in the car listening to last resort this show is truly a comedy
- need the lottienat enemies to lovers arc asap
- okay TAIVAN TIME: “i’m never gonna be scared of you” <3, literally obsessed with the i love you scene that is peak romance, literally kicking my feet and giggling and i didn’t not fall asleep to fantasies of being tai in that scene
- curious about the animal mask ritual, leaning towards it being either initiation or sacriface
- and finally SHE ATE THE EAR! what the actual fuck. this is fully not how i thought the cannibalism would start but it makes soooooo much sense. cannibalism as a function of grief, jackie consumes shauna’s life so shauna physically consumes her, the clear like NEED to eat it from shauna, the secrecy of it all. lets hope next ghost jackie scene is a confrontation into love confession
