Una nueva edición de la fiesta Back to the 90s tuvo a Fer O-Smith y Bruno Stella sobre el escenario para interpretar las canciones que influenciaron su propia música

El pasado sábado 17 de febrero el sótano de Tazú fue escenario de la primera Back to the 90's del año, edición especial Influencias.

La ambientación invitaba a sumergirse en el tren de la nostalgia noventera desde el descenso por la escalera, decorada con cassettes, luces y cartelería temática.

Como ya es costumbre, la fiesta tuvo una amplia convocatoria desde temprano en la noche, con gran presencia de público en el sector gamer retro de arcade y consolas, mientras clásicos de la década musicalizaban las primeras horas de una velada que se extendería hasta latas horas de la madrugada.

Bruno Stella y su banda fueron los encargados de romper el hielo sobre el escenario, con un set compuesto por temas propios y versiones de rock argentino, que tuvo como invitados a Germán De Souza (Vagos del Sur), Mai Irigoyen y Pablo Stella. Mientras el repertorio dejaba entrever atisbos de Cerati en las voces y dejos del folk Sui Generis en alguna de sus composiciones; también sonaron Charly García, Soda Stereo, Fito Páez y los Redondos en covers recibidos con gran entusiasmo por los presentes en la pista.

Enfrentando el calor que se acumulaba en el sótano, promediando las 2 de la madrugada, Fer O-Smith canalizó su Alanis Morissette interior para encarar un set poderoso que combinó influencias con sus propias composiciones y los éxitos de su último disco: Morir en el 2006.

Acompañada de su banda y armada de una voz que hace temblar a las grandes divas del rock, Fer homenajeó a los Red Hot Chili Peppers, Sheryl Crow y No Doubt, entre otros; con Mar Payssé y Ale Sama de invitadas.

Entre pogo y baile, la música en vivo calentó la pista para la centena de nostálgicos de los 90s que recibieron el domingo dejándose llevar por la selección musical de Daniel Legazcue, DJ y creador de Back to the 90s.

Un nuevo año para la fiesta insignia de cada mes en Tazú. ¡Hay que estar atentos a sus redes para reservarse las próximas fechas!

I’ll be completely honestly. I will judge you based on how you view Lottie Mathews. If you watch Yellowjackets and go calling her “psycho” “crazy” and judge her abhorent and manipulative for literally just having symptoms of her psychosis while UNMEDICATED IN THE MIDDLE OF THE FUCKING WILDERNESS, I won’t trust you for shit.

Steddie Slice of life

A little sneaky Peaky of a new 5k Steddie slice of life fic I'll be posting on AO3 soon :)

Eddie was back a minute later, Tuna back in his arms as he crawled into bed. She settled in the divot between their legs, her head resting on Eddie’s thigh. He petted at her back looking up at Steve. “Can I bring tuna to the game?” He asked with a megawatt smile, there was mischief and determination behind his eyes that let Steve know he would be losing this battle.

“People will think we’re crazy,” Steve tried anyway despite knowing better.

“People already think I’m a woman until I turn around. What's a little more misdirection with a cat and a baby stroller?” Eddie grinned, waggling his brows at Steve, that big smile still on his face.

“You want to bring her in a baby stroller?” Steve asked in disbelief, he honestly shouldn’t be surprised though. Eddie was as chaotic as they come.

“It's the most safe and convenient way.” Eddie nodded seriously. “Plus little Miss deserves the princess treatment.”

Steve rolled his eyes at that but relented. “You spoil her too much but, fine. You have to find a baby stroller that isn’t hundreds of dollars and cat proof it though.” He pointed at Eddie sternly.

“You know, I’m the king of the thrift baby, I’ll make it happen.” Eddie assured with a cocky grin. Despite his eye rolls, Steve couldn’t deny it, considering he was laying on a mattress sitting in a brass bed frame Eddie found for them at the thrift store with two matching oak side tables to go with it.

“You have until next weekend, if it isn’t done she stays home.” Steve warned.

Eddie just smiled even wider, leaning in to give Steve a wet kiss. “Of course baby.” He began peppering kisses all over Steve’s face. “I love youuuu.” He sang.

“I love you too.” Steve finally cracked and dropped his grumpy facade. If it made Eddie happy he didn’t care. “Now go to bed.” He chuckled and pushed Eddie away when the kisses began to tickle

El evento que celebra la nostalgia millennial cierra el año en su casa, el sótano del bar Tazú

'Back to the 90s MVD' es un evento mensual que revive y homenajea la década de 1990, reivindicando los movimientos culturales que se dieron principalmente en el ámbito del entretenimiento, música, cine, televisión y moda, generando una experiencia disfrutable tanto para las generaciones que lo vivieron en su niñez o su juventud, así como para las nuevas generaciones que la descubren.

Cada edición de la fiesta tiene una temática diferente y propone bandas en vivo, proyecciones (series, peliculas o cartoons), exposiciones (objetos de colección, ilustraciones y diseños) y un rincón gamer retro, como Family game, Nintendo y arcade para disfrutar toda la noche.

En materia de música, la oferta recorre varios géneros y movimientos característicos de la década, como el grunge y el rock alternativo, el pop de grupos vocales, brit pop, dance, trip-hop, rap-rock y nü metal, entre otros.

Back to the 90's nació hace tres o cuatro años en casa del organizador, Daniel Legazcue, músico y productor; quien se encarga de la curaduría y musicalización del evento.

En su edición de diciembre, la fiesta invita a despedir el año celebrando los 90's en el bar Tazú.

La última edición 2023 de Back to the 90s es este sábado 9 de diciembre a partir de las 23.30 en Tazú (Canelones 780). Ameniza la noche DJ Legaz, con hitasos de los 80s, 90s y principios de los 00s. Habrá sector gamer, proyecciones y ambientación noventera. Hay entradas anticipadas a $250 al 099422572.
