Okay folks I’m back from my vacation, so now I can go back to posting about my Jack Jeanne playthrough!!!! I finished the Fall Performance before my vacation but I didn’t have time to post my thoughts before I left, so let’s get to it then!

Man, Mary Jane as a play was so creepy and wild and enjoyable! I loved how it managed to be both fucked up and lighthearted at the same time??? Also it just may have my favorite play related CGs so far because WOW there were some fantastic CGs for this play!!! Mary Jane herself is such a fun and sad character in how lonely she is and how warped she is by that loneliness, and yet how kind she also is. Fumi yet again did a wonderful job in this role! All the ghosts managed to be funny and sweet characters. Suzu, Neji, Mitsuki, and Otori did wonderfully (while also having the funniest costumes I let out such a dumb laugh when I saw Suzu’s)! Otori I think you’re meant for the weird roles, just embrace your fate…And man were Figaro and Charles just sooooo delightfully unhinged! Kisa, my girl, she truly did a masterful job in her second Jack role and that maniacal laugh of hers was fucking incredible. But Sou…fucking Soshiro Yonaga…holy fucking shit!!!! More on him later….But anyways the pair were also pitiful in that along with their hatred of ghosts, it’s understandable that they were so angry at Mary specifically for (albeit unknowingly) using their friends’ corpses to make Jacob and man Figaro going absolutely batshit after Charles died because that’s his brother, his twin…What absolutely fun villains! Well at least they can be together as ghosts, right?

Some more A+ music from the play! A Friend Without a Name was such a lovely tune, reminded me in many ways of a music box. Fumi and Kai had some wonderful choreography for this song. Hallelujah Shout the name of God, My Friends was my favorite of the three for sure! I loved how it shifted so much and the way Kisa, Sou, and Fumi’s voices all came together! Ghost Party is a very close second, it’s so damn catchy!!! Like I wasn’t really feeling it when I heard the instrumental during the practice but when I got to hear the actual performance I was bouncing along so much I fucked up the rhythm game 😂😂😂 Still got the SS rank though ✌️ Then again, I am playing the rhythm games on normal mode, which is SUPER forgiving regarding how much you can fuck up and still get the best rank.

And good GRIEF the drama going on with Quartz throughout all of this! I mentioned this earlier but the sheer shock I felt when the cast list first came out and Sou didn’t get a named role. I truly didn’t expect that to happen! I figured there’s no way that doesn’t change, it doesn’t seem right, but I was getting worried there as we got closer and closer to performance day! The buildup to what happened with Sou for the Fall Performance had been building up slowly, like I’ve said before he’s shown he’s getting frustrated with his performance on stage. Especially when compared to how Kisa and Suzu, his two closest friends in Univeil, have been performing in the last two plays…I said before that what he needed was the chance to prove himself in a role that truly clicked for him. But then he wasn’t given a named role for Mary Jane…And geez you see how badly that destroys him despite him trying to stay his polite and soft spoken self, to the point of even ignoring Kisa and Suzu. Which all comes to a head when Suzu and Sou have their big fight, which leads to Sou being the loudest I’ve ever heard him at that point in the game. While I was so uncomfortable in that fight because “nooo boys please you’re friends don’t do this 😭😭😭”, I liked that I could get both sides of the argument. Because on Suzu’s end one of his closest friends has suddenly started ignoring him and won’t explain anything and it’s also clearly hurting another one of their mutual friends (Kisa), while on Sou’s end his insecurities and frustration at how his own efforts aren’t matching up to what he wants and how his friends are seemingly getting where they want to be so easily and seemingly aren’t as gutted by disappointment made him reach his breaking point.

Coupled with Sou’s drama is Suzu’s own drama. Suzu struggling to play a villain role so unlike who he is, a cunning guy. Gosh when I heard Suzu was gonna okay a villain I was sooooooooo hyped!!! He struggled but that’s the thing about Suzu, he struggles but he gets there eventually because he doesn’t stop trying. I was so ready to see him as the cunning and arrogant Jean Jose!!! But then…his injury…You know I remembered a while back a random Suzu event I saw had him mention a scar on his ankle if I remember right, and I was like 👀 at that info but then it was never brought up again so I thought it was just a random fun fact or something. But then as the weeks went on for the Fall Performance, Suzu was shown occasionally struggling with his foot. I actually thought maybe he sprained it in that early practice scene but then I remembered that scar thing and was like “👀👀👀👀👀 oh????? is it related?!?!?!?!??!?!!?!!” And then BAM!!! My poor sweet boy’s ankle couldn’t hold out anymore…Gosh that reveal that he had to give up kendo because of how bad the injury was…And how acting, specifically Univeil performances, gave him a reason to keep going again and a new dream…But now his ankle gave out and now there’s that chance acting could be taken from him too. I wonder if we’ll get more info on his injury, specifically what caused it. Because I admit I’m not too familiar with kendo but I’ve seen some pictures and stuff of it, and I can’t figure out what on earth happened to Suzu that injured him THAT badly. Based on a convo with Neji earlier, I can guess either he or the person he was sparring with wasn’t careful enough but I’d like more details. But yeah seeing how much of a brave face he was putting on, especially when he was cleared to come back but no longer had a role in the play. That scene between him and Kisa when he admits how scared he is murdered me…My poor sweetheart….

Also the way that before the fight was officially cleared up between Suzu and Sou the two of them were already friends again. Sou wanting to practice all the play lines to help Suzu and Kisa with rehearsals while Suzu told Neji to give the role to Sou if he couldn’t stand on stage himself. The way Suzu had no hard feelings towards Sou about being replaced. Sou at the end of the performance telling Suzu that HE is the one Sou doesn’t wanna lose to most 😭😭😭😭 I love all of Quartz so much but the first years are special to me because they really are the best friend trio.

And maaaan, Quartz really does have the best senpai in the world!!! Mitsuki, Fumi, and Kai all helping out Suzu, Kisa, and Sou respectively regarding the fight. Mitsuki and Fumi both standing up to Utsuri and Kakuto when they wanted to start shit with poor Kisa. The fact that Neji at the last moment added an entirely new character to the play just so that Suzu wouldn’t be left out! I mean when they changed the okay so that Sou would play Figaro and as Charles’ brother instead, Neji only needed to fix stuff related to that. But he also went and gave Suzu a new role that wouldn’t stress his ankle out because he knew that despite Suzu trying to be lighthearted about it he desperately wanted to stand on the stage too. For all that Neji thrives on chaos he’s much kinder than he lets on ☺️

Anyways, Sou’s acting in Mary Jane was nuts, absolutely bonkers. The way he kept such a calm tone for most of the play before starting to yell some lines once Figaro and Charles revealed their true purpose. And then…the masterpiece…Figaro’s screaming after Charles died….I truly thought Sou was gonna throw his voice out with how absolute batshit those screams were. How did his VA manage to NOT destroy his voice??? And the CG that accompanied that moment? Perfection. You know half of the audience went home and had nightmares after that. But yeah I was right, Sou got the role that clicked for him. He got to showcase what he’s made of and I can only hope he’ll improve from here! And he deserved that reward, I would’ve entered this game and fought all of Univeil if he didn’t get anything after that performance. Also I really loved Fumi finally getting a chance to be free and not be so tied down from being Quartz’s responsible senpai and getting to truly showcase his skill by competing with Kisa and Sou.

Final note, while I loved Mary Jane and think everything that went down in the Fall Performance arc was great, I’m sad we never got Jean Jose realized. I wanted to see my boy Suzu play a villain role 😞😞😞 Neji, babe, please come through for me and give me the gift of villain Suzu for the Winter Performance! Please do me this one solid, Neji 🙏

Previously on BnHA: Kacchan was all, “Izuku, I’m sorry.” Bakugou Stans were all, “[sobs for a week straight and tearfully awards him the Nobel Prize for character development].” Deku was all, “[faints in Kacchan’s arms].” Iida was all, “[trying to decide if Ochako genuinely tried to kill him a few minutes ago].” Horikoshi was all, “NO TIME FOR HUGS WE MUST GET BACK TO UA.” The civilians holed up at U.A. were all, “WE TOOK A VOTE AND DECIDED THAT WE’RE ALL GOING TO BE JERKS ABOUT THIS AND MAKE A BIG FUSS ABOUT YOU LETTING DEKU BACK INTO THE SCHOOL.” Deku was all “[stands there looking like he expected nothing less and breaking my heart more and more with each passing moment].” Ochako was all, “that does it, looks like I’m gonna have to do something about this... next chapter, that is.”

Today on BnHA: Flashback!Rat Principal is all “I just want you all to know that I spent nine million dollars turning U.A. into a giant Battleship-style grid that can burrow underground and zoom around in a giant subway maze because Horikoshi lacks a grounded understanding of both civil engineering and economics.” Back in the present day, Jeanist is all, “EVERYONE TAKE HEED, MY COMRADES AND I HAVE DEEMED IT EXPEDIENT TO CONVEY THIS AUSPICIOUS YOUTH BACK TO THIS STRONGHOLD. WE ANTICIPATE THAT WE MAY DEPEND UPON YOUR GOODWILL AND ACQUIESCENCE TO THESE TERMS.” The civilians were all, “NO.” Ochako was all, “EMPATHY, MOTHERFUCKERS, DO YOU SPEAK IT?!” The civilians were all, “oh shit.” Anyway so Ochako is a giant badass, but I’m a little worried that she’s going to get struck by lightning. Please come down from there.

Iori: I had to keep him company during his detention. Please at least let me sigh.

Tamaki: I said it was fine for you to go home first.

Iori: If I left you, we wouldn’t have made it on time for the recording right. (Mad)

Mitsuki: But, Tamaki’s incorrect answers are kinda cute! Like on a quiz show or something.

Yamato: Oh yeah, recently on that elementary level kanji quiz, he answer strong “rock” for strong “ishi” huh. (lol)

Nagi: “Rock” and “will” huh! Japanese homophones are complicated huh. :-( [T/N: In Japanese, both “rock” (石) and “will” (意思) are read as “ishi” but they have different kanji so where Yamato says “ishi,” it was written in hiragana, hence why Tamaki answered with the kanji for “rock” instead of “will.”]

Tamaki: Rocks are strong right! They’re hard!

Momo: For variety shows, that’s a perfect answer っ(・∀・)=b

Yuki: I also think Tamaki-kun’s answer is right though.

Yuki: That’s the answer where I could feel Tamaki-kun’s strong will.

Iori: When we talk about Yuki-san, we have an image of him being good at playing any kind of instrument, not only making songs. Maybe there are a lot of fans who want to see you try some unique instrument I think?

Yuki: Heeh. Sounds interesting.

Yuki: The musical instruments challenge in IDOLiSH Night! is famous huh.

Momo: But, is there an instrument in this world that Yuki can’t play?!

Yuki: There should be. ^^

Ryuunosuke: If you want a unique one, how about the Sanshin from Okinawa? It’s easy to play for beginners, and I want to see Yuki-san playing that!

Yuki: Was that an instrument like Syamisen?

Iori: They’re different but Yuki-san is good at playing the guitar so it might be easy to try a similar string instrument.

Ryuunosuke: Yuki-san seems suited to a Ryuso too… I’ll teach you how to wear it! [T/N: An Okinawan kimono.]

Yuki: I’m interested but it’s on the radio so they can’t see huh.

Day 21 : Dance - Kizami Yuuya

“Mitsuki, no! No way! Nuh-huh, you can’t make me do this!” I sweatdropped in my chair, looking up at my friend. “Awwww, c’mon, Kat, what’s the harm? It’s gonna be your first party with us! You’re gonna love it! There’s gonna be pretty lights and...Music and sweets and snacks and drinks! And so many people! Who knows, maybe you’ll catch someone’s eye and you’ll get a boyfriend!” Tohko fangirled, making me lean on my chair seat, stealing a glance at Kizami, who was getting convinced by Kurosaki as well. “What are we gonna do with them?” I whispered, as he looked at me with an annoyed expression. “Kill them.” he muttered, making me nod in agreement. “Don’t be such party poopers! We have only 2 parties left as a class together, why not spending in a nice way? What could go wrong?” Tohko pouted, making my heart hurt, as a grimaced. “Don’t...Use that puppy face on me...” I glared at her, but she only continued. “And besides, it’s 1 day after White Day, so if you gave anyone chocolate, he’d have to invite you to dance, right~? And as a matter of fact, I am VERY sure you gave chocolates to someone from our class!” my eyes widened and I could feel the blood draining from my face. “I don’t have any fancy clothes, and the dance is in a week. How are you gonna solve that, hmm?” I crossed my arms triumphantly, but both girls only grinned evilly at me. “Oh, don’t worry about that. Mitsuki, you make sure you get Katrina at my house before the dance so we could get ready together, okay?” Tohko fist-pumped in victory. “End me please...” I mutter, hanging my head in defeat. “Same.” Kizami sighed behind me.

It wasn’t long before March 13th came and Tohko forced me and Mitsuki to sleep at hers, so we could look extra pretty for White Day, so that meant no extra sleep for me, unfortunately.

“Okay, so, who did you give chocolate too? I made a box of heart shaped chocolates and put it on Kizami-kun’s desk. Think he liked it?” Tohko asked, applying make up. “I gave chocolate to Fukuroi. He’s the only guy I’m super close to. And we made it a tradition all these years, so it’s cool.” Mitsuki shrugged, brushing her hair. “I left some for Kurosaki too, though. Hope it wasn’t weird.” she continued, putting her hair clips on. “Awww, that’s so cute! I’ve been thinking for a while that he may be into you, but I can’t be fully certain.” Tohko grinned at her friend, as I looked in the mirror with a bored expression, brushing my long red hair, as I saw them apply make up. “Why are you putting on make up? I thought it wasn’t allowed?” I rise my eyebrow in confusion. “Oh, right, we didn’t tell you. Since it’s the last week, it’s White Day today and we’re gonna have the end of the semester dance soon, we are allowed to wear whatever make up and nail polish we want. Isn’t that cool?!” Mitsuki winked, giving me her make up stuff. “Woaw...Yeah, I guess it’s pretty refreshing. I forgot the last time I wore make up.” I smiled softly, applying red lipstick, to bring out my dark eyes. “Hey, Kat, you didn’t tell us who you gave chocolate to!” she gasped, as she stopped mid-way helping Tohko with her eyeshadow. “Uhmm...Well...Remember how everyone kinda pressured me to give a boy chocolate for Valentine’s? And I got super panicky? And Shit-mada kept trying to kiss me and whatever?” I stutter slightly, knowing that the little secret would go away. “Yeah, why? Oh-...Oh my God, did you give Shit-mada chocolates?!” Tohko gasper in horror, but I shook my head. “I...Sorry, Tohko, I know you like him...But Kizami was the only one in the classroom when Shit-mada kept pestering him, and I knew it would annoy him the most if I would choose Kizami over him...So I gave Kizami the chocolates. Of course, I told him the circumstances, so he doesn’t think I like him or anything.” I try to explain the story, but I could see Tohko’s unease as she laughed awkwardly at my tale. “Oh, haha, that’s cool, don’t worry! I understand why you’d do that, Kizami-kun is a very reliable person! And who’d want Shit-mada over Kizami-kun, huh? Besides, Kizami-kun never gives back chocolate.” she tried to laugh it off, but I could feel she was feeling down.

And what’s worse, she doesn’t know that I lied shamelessly through my teeth, and only Kizami knows the truth.

Back then, I was extremely anxious about everything going on, and before even Tohko could fangirl about Valentine’s and her crush on Kizami, Kurosaki came to me to hang out one weekend and he told me about all the habits of our class, which, to say the least, weren’t few.

“Basically, Tohko’s desperate over Kizami, but she thinks she’s discrete...She’s not. Yamamoto and Fukuroi are great friends, so they’ll gift only each other, kinda. Urabe tries to skip this day, or gives Ohkawa chocolates. Shimada’s gonna try to kiss all girls around, going by the Western tradition that...Well, you’re more familiar with than us, anyways.” Kurosaki explains, making me sigh in annoyance. “Then, what do you suggest I do? It’s such a drag...” I shrug, putting my hands in my pockets. “Hmmm...Oh, why don’t you give Kizami chocolates? I mean, it’s either him or Shimada who get the most chocolates, but Kizami usually shares the chocolate with everyone ‘cause he’s not that much into sweets. I mean, I think from the boys, you’re closest to him and then me, right? He seems to have a soft spot for you too, so it would work, I think.” he smiles, giving me a thumbs up, as I started pondering the situation. “I see...So Kizami is a safe bet...Ah, wait...Do you like...Hand the chocolate over in person, or make it secret?” I ask again, shifting my gaze to my brunet friend. “Oh, that’s mostly up to you, but since we’ve been classmates for so long, we either hand it in person, or let it on the person’s desk, with our names written on a card or something. Go wild, I’m sure Kizami will like it either way.” he chuckles cheerfully, making me nod in understandment. “What a drag...” I sigh, looking up at the snowy sky. “Thanks for this, Kurosaki. It’s really nice hanging out with you.” I finish, smiling softly. “Any time!” he shows my a thumbs up sign, before he said in a softer voice, thinking I wouldn’t hear it, but incidently, I did. “No wonder he likes you.”

Now that we are are at school, I sat anxiously in my chair, not knowing what to expect. To be fair, I was only half-sure Kizami realised that I gave him chocolate, since I signed it in a code, and it’s up to him if he realises that or not. And besides...Urgh, what a bother. He received so many chocolates that day, why would he bother to bring ME back? He’s never one to actually do something for White Day, as Kurosaki said.

Wait...

Why am I getting so bothered up anyways?

I was barely able to focus much at Biology, and to make things worse, almost everybody from the class left to socialise, leaving only me and Kizami, so to make things less awkward, I got up to leave, only to get called out, but not by my name, but by a code.

“I was expecting a Scarlet Princess, not a Crimson Knight on Valentine’s.” Kizami’s deep voice echoed through the room, making me chuckle in amusement. “I’m not sure I can be a proper princess, I’m sorry.” I turn around with a small smirk on my face, leaning on the lockers in the classroom. “You’d be more than perfect.” he got up, taking a box of chocolate from his bag and towered over me, handing it to me, making my eyes widen in surprise. “I...Thought you never give chocolates back to those who give to you.” I take the box slowly, not knowing what else to say. “Nobody deserved so far. Besides, that was a rather clever play on words. Kurosaki thought it was one of Shimada’s stupid pranks, but I knew better. KiShi. the equivalent of Knight. Kitsune Shinozaki. That’s been your Japanese alias since you came here, so we won’t have a hard time pronouncing your name. Very clever...Kitten.” he smirked mischievously, seeing more emotion in his eyes than I’ve ever seen since I met him. “Should I feel flattered, then...Yuuya~?” I mimicked his tone, earning a low chuckle. “I have a proposition for you, my little Kitten. Since you and I have both been tortured into accepting to go to tomorrow’s dance, why not go together? It would spare us a lot of trouble, don’t you think?” he asked, making me hum in approval. “Not a bad idea. I accept, Yuuya, dear. And...I think this is going to piss a lot of people. Even better~!” my smirk grew wider, thinking of Tohko’s and Shit-mada’s faces when they’ll see us at the dance. “Glad to see we’re thinking the same way.” he huffed in amusement, walking back to his desk behind me, urging me to rush and hide the box so nobody else would see it. “Did you do them yourself, Yuuya~?” I put my elbow on the chair rest, resting my chin on my palm, looking at the brunet boy with a knowing glint in my eyes. “Why don’t you tell me that?” he let out a short, amused chuckle, as the bell rang and everyone got back in the class. “Kat? You got no chocolates? Wait, did you even leave the room?” Tohko looked confused, but at the same time, suspicious at I and her crush. “Nahh, nothing. I guess nobody wants to hang out with the new girl.” I laughed softly with a fake smile on my face. “Awee, that’s too bad. I’m sorry to hear that.” she faked sadness and pity for me, making me shake my head and turn to my desk, nonchalantly.

That night, I was extremely satisfied with everything going on, but I had to decline going to Tohko’s place for the night, since I had everything ready for the dance at home, thanks to my mum.

The next evening, Kizami and Kurosaki came to pick me up from home, like the gentlemen they were, and Kurosaki apparently invited Mitsuki to dance, and she accepted, so this is super nice.

My long dark green dress emphasised my foxy appearance, highlighted by the red lipstick and cat wing, my red hair falling over my shoulders in waves of fire.

By the time we arrived at school, I hooked my arm with Kizami’s, and we went inside where the party already started and the loud music was blaring.

“Is that...Kizami? With the new girl?” whispers and gossips were heard all around us, making the both of us chuckle in amusement at their shock. “Hey, we make quite the Dynamic Duo, don’t you think?” I smirked, looking around swiftly, seeing everyone dance. “I...May have made a slight miscalculation.” I put my hand up to my mouth, a habit I took as I pondered what to do next. “And what is that?” he towered over me, amused. “Well...I came here mostly to make fun of people...But I didn’t count on what I would ACTUALLY do, which seems like it should be dancing...Which...Isn’t my forte, to be fair. It’s...Embarrassing.” I sweatdropped, looking away, my cheeks flushing a bit. “Hmmm...I have an idea. Follow me.” he took my hand in his and guided me outside to the courtyard, where the Moonlight illuminated the trees and the little water pond filled with koi fish very beautifully. “Woaw...I never realised how pretty this place is until now. It’s almost like everything is a matter of perspective.” I gaze at the landscape before us, but I didn’t realise the cold nor the music until Kizami put his blazer over my shoulders, and it got significantly warmer. “In case you were cold.” he muttered, looking down at me. “Thank you, Yuuya. I wasn’t really paying attention to the cold, but...It is pretty chilly.” I hummed in thanks, leaning on his chest. “I guess they could have put better music...But for a party, it’s not half bad.” “Do you want to dance?” he asked all of a sudden, making me look up at him in slight shock. “I...Don’t really know how to dance. Never got the opportunity to.” I explain, barely above a whisper, but he just shrugged, holding both my hands. “I don’t know either. It’s not like anyone is watching.” he said nonchalantly, making me nod in understanding, getting closer to him, putting my hands on his shoulders, and he put his on my waist, and we swung around the place like we owned it, with no inhibition or shame, and it was...Quite enjoyable. “Thank you for this night, Yuuya. I guess...It’s a matter of perspective, after all. Even a dance with someone can be fun if it’s the right person.” I shrugged simply, smiling passively. “I got rid of Kurosaki and Kirisaki, so I’m good. That girl especially kept pissing me off good. Glad a little fox appeared to change my view. A matter of perspective, as you say.” he huffed in amusement as he explained that. “Guess we’re the best thing that happened to each other, hmm, Yuuya~?” I drag his name in a lower voice, my fox-like smirk never fading. “Saying my name like that...You don’t know what you’re doing to me, Kitten.” his face inched closer to my, teasing me as our lips barely brushed each other. “Is that Kizami-kun and Katrina?! What are they doing here?!” Tohko’s shrill voice made both of us growl in annoyance, knowing full well that the whole squad was going to give us trouble. “This is impossible...” Kizami’s vein almost popped from the rage he was trying to hide inside. “Ah, fuck it, let her burn with envy.” I mutter, cupping Yuuya’s face and kissed him like there was no tomorrow, but it didn’t take long for him to reciprocate with just as much emotion...If that could be said even for someone like him. “N-No way...I-I thought Kizami-kun liked me...” Tohko’s voice echoed sorrowfully, almost crying, which made both of us chuckle at her misfortune. “Who lied to her, I wonder~?” I smirked slyly, tilting my head slightly to the side, foxily. “She’s been lying to herself all this time. After all...Who’d choose her, over a fox like you?” he smirked in pride, like a predator would at his prey. “Yes!! Finally, I knew it! Give me the money, Katayama!” Kurosaki’s chipper voice sounded loudly just after Tohko ran away. “I give up. Let’s go home, this is getting annoying.” I chuckle, hooking my arm with his, walking away. “Just a bit more and we’re done with Highschool. That’s a relief.” he sighed in aggravation, walking away with me, not even sparing a glance to his friend or to the girl who was crushing on him for so long.

MY 10 FAVORITE ANIME SERIES

we have finally arrived to this list...*cracks knuckles* let’s enter into this battlefield!

•this list is MY PERSONAL OPINION!

•this list is MY CURRENT FAVORITES AS OF RN

10. Fruits Basket: Tohru, Kyo and Yuki, these three mainly get me all the time because they suffered so much but they still continue living a normal life even though they bare so much pain and suffering! This series never fails to make me cry and smile but in a good way!

9. The Royal Tutor: oh my dear....OH MY DEAR!!! I never knew I’d get so attached to them so easily! This show never fails to make me laugh, it never fails to teach me something new and not to give up on what’s ahead! Learn something from these boys as well as listen to the Professor well because let’s just say I WANT HIM TO BE MY PROFESSOR 24/7

8. Kyoukai No Rinne: ahhhh Rinne, Rinne, Rinne...my sweet Rinne...your funny as hell XD Let’s just say this whole series is literally an amazing comedy (it’s like Gintama but kinda kinda rated PG 13 version) with both the main characters being clueless about each other’s feelings and the people around them. plus if you miss Inuyasha or those “KAGOME” or “INUYASHA” yelling’s. then I highly recommend watching this because it’s literally “ROKUDO-KUN” “MAMIYA SAKURA” most of the time XD

7. Hyouka: WHAT DO I HAVE TO SAY ABOUT HYOUKA?!?!? ITS FUCKING BEAUTIFUL THAT’S WHAT! The soundtrack, the designs, the character themselves! Every time I watch this I just absolutely love seeing Chitanda’s eyes glowing up and saying “I just have to know” to our beautiful lazy main protagonist. Did I meant it’s like Sherlock Holmes but the teenager version?

6. Full Moon Wo Sagashite: so many words, so many tears, so little time. This represents me in a lot of ways. But let me tell you, Mitsuki may seem annoying to many people (she was a little bit) but once you understand and watch her grow you’ll start apologizing for everything you said to her because SHE’S A WARRIOR FIGHTING FOR HER LOVE AND DREAM! plus did I tell you that it is very very emotional? (you’ll know soon)

5. Uta No Prince Sama: hey I had to add them to my list! every song has a meaning! every guy has a meaning and a story to tell. they represent us in some way but in a more musical way! I absolutely love seeing each of these talented guys grow not as a person but as an idol group and making bonds that I want to create. (BACK OFF LADIES I HAVE MY EYES ON TOKIYA)

4. Shugo Chara: Amu reminds me a lot about myself basically, she’s trying to find who she really is although there are many obstacles ahead of her and it’s not stopping her not one bit! if people want to judge let them judge they’re just jealous of your amazingness, be yourself and don’t let anyone stop you! & plus Ikuto is kinda....fucking hot XD

3. Chihayafuru: oof—the soundtrack, the characters EVERYTHING IS SO BEAUTIFUL! The poems for each card is so beautiful to read and listen! It makes you feel like your in a shrine: your either paying respects to God himself for these beautiful poems or your relaxing while listening to the wind and many sounds of the outside world! Chihaya felt relaxed when playing and her determination of being Karata Queen made me want to try the game itself. (I’m actually learning)

2. Ao Haru Ride: oh my dear—THIS SHOW! oh my dear so many levels of feels and real life problems that really standed out and called to me! I really wished they could of continued this story because let me tell you THE MANGA IS SO WORTH A READ! THIS SERIES ALONE HAS MADE ME READ THE MANGA OVER AND OVER AND EVERYTHING!

1. Cardcaptor Sakura: I could go on and on and ON about this certain series right here! you may not understand but seeing young love being discovered and learn the meanings of love itself is truly amazing to watch and this is the show to learn from it! Sakura and Syaoran learned what love meant at a very VERY young age! They started off with having the same crush, competing for his love and attention after many many battles with each other. As time goes on, they learned something new together that no one not even Tomoyo herself (jk she knows what’s up here) can truly get! time goes on again and we see something beautiful bloom between them that makes us tear up a bit. old version or new version it really doesn’t matter just one episode alone makes you excited and realize “wow I never knew love can be in that way as well”

Takarazuka Special 2018- Say! Hey! Show Up!

Man, am I lucky to be able to see so many incredible things in Japan. Under the cut are all the thoughts I had about this year’s TCA special! Forewarning- they’re hardly cohesive, they’re very personal and biased, they’re SUPER LONG because I’m not writing this for anyone in particular or editing it whatsoever, and they’re whatever came to mind between the two showings or while waiting at intermissions!

The Beni/Tamakichi/Mirio/Daimon group is like. Something else. You put all four of them up there and they split off into FACTIONS, and it turns out to be Beni vs. Everyone which melts into Beni and Tamakichi vs. Daimon and Mirio and by that I mean if Beni and Tamakichi are teasing Daimon and Mirio MAN can those two sweet, sweet women not hold up. Beni is a troll. Beni is relentless. I’d call her a predator to Mirio and Daimon’s prey. The teasing never ended- but to that end, the laughter never ended either, and honestly, I loved them. I loved it. They were all charming and they all shone and the way their personalities differ (OOH do their PERSONALITIES DIFFER) was the most obvious and beautiful thing in the world. We have a FUN set of top stars, y’all. It was nice to see them all together.*

*I missed Makaze for a lot of reasons, most notably: 1.) she would have made for another great target for Beni to give hell to, and 2.) there were a lot of silk, deep, deep v-necks, and it’s kinda cruel to leave Makaze out of that, don’t you think. See you next year, Soragumi. Your energy was missed.

Daimon can’t eat gluten??? She certainly didn’t eat any bread in France, which has everyone including me pretty aghast.

Tamakichi used to? Swim? Play HANDBALL? They for sure teased her about being in the Olympics at the noon showing, but that’s as far as my Japanese got me. Makes sense though because have you seen her shoulders?

Sorry I need to say AGAIN how much Beni Ran This Shit. She IS the oldest top right now, by a year to Daimon and Mirio and like...more years to Makaze and MORE years to Tamakichi, and I’m sure that’s part of it, but I think the other part is that she’s a natural born emcee and comedian and she knows it. When I watch Beni I think ‘oh my God I love you so much for so many reasons,’ I love that woman. That’s my top star. But then MAN, I can ABSOLUTELY SEE how those reasons might make someone else feel the exact opposite. She also like applied herself for a bunch of this show and oooohhhhh it’s so lovely when she does.

Tamakichi asked Mirio and Beni to talk about going to Taiwan, and they sung the little ditty that I don’t know the name of but clearly is done every time they go to Taiwan because they both knew it. Beni also spoke some Chinese for the Taiwanese live viewing audience.

There was also talk about why they all chose their final songs, how their years went and what each troupe did, and some general banter.

Aside from the Top Stars and Todoroki Yuu, no one really spoke. The Top Musumeyaku certainly didn’t talk. To be TOTALLY HONEST, as far as this live viewing went at least, unless you’re Top Star, nibante, Top Musumeyaku, or Kacha/Hanagata Hikaru/Akira/Kai you don’t seem to have TOO MUCH camera time. Still thankful for the fact that they do the live viewings! But it IS tough to spot your whoever-else, unless they’re doing their little solos.

Moving on from our lovely Top Stars, here’s the quick-n-dirty lowdown on what stood out to me in the show! (I’m sorry if I missed your favorite, there were a lot of people, a lot going on, and I’m REALLY biased towards watching certain people.)

Miya had a lot of great stuff. She and Saki both had some funky songs with acoustic accompaniment. Saki’s had kind of a Western vibe. (Like cowboys, not like Western Hemisphere.)

Sorry, back to Miya, I really really hope she hangs on to top. She has her act together. She knows what she’s doing onstage, she’s pretty polished, and I personally really really dig the general tone of her voice, especially when she goes a little high.

I saw the show twice. Both times, when Coto came on for her solos, whoever the person next to me was like SLOW NODDED. Same, seat neighbors. God she’s good. She’s looking a lot more grown up! She’s CUTE. I’m kinda obsessed! I can’t like compliment Coto enough. Y’all know how good she is. She stands out just because she’s THAT GOOD.

Maaya Kiho. Maaaaaya. Maaya, come back to Hoshigumi so I can see you every day of my life. That girl has SOMETHING SPECIAL. Her energy is unique and a little aggressive but flirtatious? She has one of my favorite voices in the company, hands down. She knows how to work that like specific musumeyaku sexuality but you can kind of totally tell she also wanted to be an otokoyaku. She has that IN her. I love Maaya. I want to listen to like four hours of just Maaya.

If I had to listen to something else for four hours, it would be Ari singing Yami Ga Hirogaru.

If I had to listen to something ELSE it might be Aasa because her voice is definitely UNIQUE in a way that really pleases me.

I also want to quickly shoutout to Tom for running as much of this as she did- and I want to comment that I like....like her voice. It has a REALLY unique quality to it now. She’s really interesting to listen to, and she’s still truckin’!

I want Mao Yuuki and Mikkii to stand exclusively next to each other for as long as they’re both in Hoshi because that height difference is SOMETHING else.

Speaking of Mikkii, I’d like to challenge everyone who records and edits anything for the rest of her time in Takarazuka to actually put the camera on her for more than .9 seconds, because she is ON TO SOMETHING REAL. Tenju Mitsuki is always on. Whether or not you particularly care for what she’s doing, everything she does is done with 100% follow through and intention, she has a target, she isn’t doing anything superfluous or pointless with her body. She’s SHARP. Tenju Mitsuki is a fantastic performer and I really want to see more of it.

Speaking of fantastic performers, shoutouts to Coto (sorry, duh), Daimon, and Maaya for being magnetic in the same 100% followthrough, target, intention way. What incredible performers.

Yuki and Tamakichi sang OKLAHOMA and while I thought I knew what heartbreak felt like, it turns out I didn’t until I realized that we won’t ever get Tamakichi/Yuki Oklahoma.

Daimon and Sakura’s Climb Every Mountain was NICE.

I love these Top Musumeyaku Very Much. It’s almost dumb to say but God they just all bring such different things and personalities and voices to the table.

Senna Ayase has Got It. She rocks. She has a lot of power and she led her musumeyaku in something really sassy and nice and I just want to say that man, I hope she loves her post-Takarazuka life.

I want to compliment Maitii on everything and mourn the fact that she isn’t leading everything, honestly.

There was a kind of long but not too long In Memoriam Section featuring the Top Musumeyaku all speaking for a few seconds and then mostly senka members + Kai + Akira with vocal solos all in white.

I never want to see another musumeyaku’s dress dragging on the ground. Someone almost Ate It when her dress got caught on something at the edge of the stage. Please. Keep our musumeyaku upright. Hemming things isn’t that hard.

Wow, Tsukigumi is fun. I also literally can not fathom HOW Baddy was THIS YEAR. As a whole they just have a really fun, kinda off-the-cuff energy that I find very endearing.

Shimon led Chaos Paradise, which, if you’re me, was one of the most satisfying things in the world.

Tamakichi is so beautifully EARNEST in a way that really suits all the golden age musicals she’s been getting. Maybe we CAN cross our fingers for Oklahoma...

From now on I’m formally requiring 8-10 business days to prepare for hearing Inochi from Gaisenmon because I didn’t walk into Hey! Say! Show Up! expecting to get chills and feel the weight of the Human Condition on my shoulders.

Shoutout to Yukigumi for replacing the ‘Nya!!’ at the end of Gato Bonito! with ...whatever sound they were approximating to imitate a wild boar. Happy New Year, everyone!

Irodori Michiru is just really cute and I love looking at her.

Thank you Kai for your golden hair and 16 Year Strong insistence on being .3 seconds behind on choreography because you prefer being ~languid~ to being ~sharp~ because you sure were easy to find.

No amount of exclamation points, keysmashing, or attempts to describe it can make you understand how I felt when the music to Jump! from Oceans 11 started up, or when RUSTY was played by Kai. That was a dream come true. Nothing less.

On that note, KAI SANG RAIMEI TOO, so I feel like God really Was looking out for Her Fans this Takaspecial. Thanks, God.

Everyone’s medley started out with the Top Star singing something earnest or Powerful or Big, but our very own Kurenai Yuzuru elected to open up with SPECIFICALLY the doki doki waku waku bit from Another World. The audience loved it. I loved it. I love Beni and I love Hoshigumi and I love that they included Arigataya, Nanmaida from Another World also and I love that Kai was hopping around as Kiroku again with the biggest smile on her face and I love that we got to hear Coto’s PIPES and I love that the audience was clapping for Killer Rouge and I love Killer Rouge and I love the ENERGY THAT troupe has.

Seo Yuria. Seooooo. Seooocchi. Get that fear out of your eyes, sweet thing. You have such a SMILE when you let yourself and your voice is THERE and you’re about to step into some big big shoes. Let yourself have this.

Rei and Saki are both coming into their own vibes! I’m excited to see where they go from here.

Shoutout to Shidou Ryuu for getting WAY more screentime than intended because she was planted half a foot to the right and directly behind Tom at pretty much all times. Good to see you, Shidou!

The best thing about seeing people from different troupes performing together in any number is like....no one is quite WITH EACH OTHER. Like MAYBE your weird idiosyncrasies fit in well with your troupe, but they sure don’t fit with the weird stuff your neighbor is doing. It’s charming and it’s sweet and I LOVE seeing it.

I didn’t think I’d cry either but tears DID spring to my eyes when Kai bowed.

I would like to formally petition Takarazuka Forever to FOLLOW Sumire no Hana in encores because Sumire no Hana is kinda a downer and Takarazuka Forever is an upper but that’s personal preference.

They wished the audience Merry Christmas and Happy New Year in ENGLISH which felt like an extra treat.

I didn’t mention every single actress in this (I’m sorry if I missed yours!! It’s so hard to remember everything and watch everyone when there are such weird combinations of actresses on the stage etc.), but God, I can honestly and truly say that to me, they all shone. Everyone is so different and everyone is working so hard. Every person who had a solo did it with everything they had, and it was beautiful to say. While watching Saki and Tamakichi, the thought came to me that entertainers- people who choose to use their lives to make other people happy- are just so special. These women are all such hard working performers and dedicated individuals and the life they put into giving us this thing is incredible. I feel so lucky to even be able to say that I do what they do. Not with HALF the skill or talent but this was one of those shows that made me think. Oh. We are so lucky to do this. The world is so lucky to have this art form. Musical theatre really is the most wonderful thing in the world, to me.

If more comes to me later, I’ll add it after the cut, but this is already 80 pages long and I’ve exhausted my phone notes. If you read this far, thanks and I’m impressed! I’m HAPPY to tell you more specifics about things if you want to ask, I can try to scrape my brain for whatever’s in there.

Tenn Kujo TRIGGER Police Rabbit Chat Part 5: Relaxing With Re:vale And TRIGGER!?

Tsumugi: Kujo-san, good work.

Tsumugi: Thank you for your cooperation in solving "The Drunken Incident At Yuki-san's House"..!

Tenn: Good work.

Tenn: Well, Nagi Rokuya and I were the sober ones, after all.

Choices/outcomes:

1. How would you sum up that incident?

Tenn: It's a prime example of why you shouldn't drown your troubles in alcohol.

2. Who do you think was the key player of that incident?

Tenn: Re:vale's not without blame either, but if I'm going to be brutally honest, it was Ryu. He kept drinking way past his limit. That part of him is a double-edged sword.

3. What was the most delicious thing Yuki-san cooked for you?

Tenn: The fried tofu. It was simple but delicious. I would've liked for Riku to have some, too.

Tsumugi: You really went through a lot... Nagi-san's cheered up now that he's received an apology from everyone. Thank you for your concern.

Tenn: He's making each of them take him to see that anime movie that's in theaters now. Their treat, of course.

Tsumugi: Yes! He's trying to get a complete collection of the postcards that are distributed randomly at each showing!

Tenn: I have to salute him for being such a devoted fan.

Tsumugi: I managed to compile a detailed account of that incident at you and Re:vale's meeting the other day. I'm aware that you already know the course of events, but I'll share it with you anyways.

Tenn: I'm not sure why I needed to wear my boy detective costume to the meeting.

Tsumugi: It's been a while since I've last seen Nagi-san in his Sherlock hat!

Tenn: So this is a recurring thing for you guys.

Tsumugi: A dinner party begins at Yuki-san's house. Along with his home cooking, the guests are treated to wine and some sake they’d brought with them.

Tsumugi: Urged by Momo-san, Tsunashi-san steadily empties his glass until he's blackout drunk. He begins speaking exclusively in Okinawan.

Tsumugi: This is where Tsunashi-san's recollection of the events stops.

Tenn: That was way too fast.

Tsumugi: Tsunashi-san's comment: "I had the feeling Momo-san wanted me to keep drinking, so I didn’t refuse his offers."

Tenn: I know Momo-san's good at riling people up, but Gaku and Yuki-san were drinking heavily by that point, too. Even though Gaku acted normal at first.

Tenn: Our managers still had their wits about them, so they were desperately trying to make it stop.

Tsumugi: Momo-san's key phrase was "Aren't you going to drink when Re:vale's offering? (lol)"

Tenn: The (lol) adds a really brutal nuance to that phrase.

Tsumugi: Tsunashi-san begins making Momo-san drink just as much as he's drinking. Their alcohol consumption increases drastically.

Tsumugi: Unable to communicate due to both their drunkenness, Momo-san calls Nagi-san in to translate for them.

Tsumugi: This is where Momo-san and Gaku-san's recollections of the events stop.

Tsumugi: Momo-san's comment: "Things were awkward between me and Yuki, so I kept clinging to other people. I couldn't stop drinking. Ryunosuke turned into an alcohol beast."

Tsumugi: Gaku-san's comment: "I had fun."

Tenn: What happened to you, Gaku?

Tsumugi: Nagi-san tries to reject Momo-san's invitation, but is forced into a taxi by Yamato-san and Mitsuki-san, who tell him to spend more time with other groups.

Tsumugi: Yamato-san's comment: "I thought I'd repay Momo-san for helping me out with a scene I didn’t want to do. I messaged Yaotome asking him to look after Nagi as a fellow leader, and thought it'd be fine since he messaged me back and told me to leave it to him."

Tenn: The man himself has no recollection of making that promise. It's a debt he'll have to pay for with his body.

Tsumugi: Mitsuki-san's comment: "Nagi doesn't trust guys outside of IDOLiSH7, so I wanted to help him overcome that. I thought it'd be fine since Momo-san, who's good at handling drinking parties, would be there."

Tenn: I understand that he was trying to be considerate, but you couldn't have sent him to a worse place. Don't you think all this might've made his fear of strangers even worse?

Tsumugi: Nagi-san arrives at the scene and is unable to translate the non-stop flow of Okinawan. Not being able to keep up with the drunkards, he tries to leave altogether.

Tsumugi: Hearing that Sogo-san and Iori-san are good at quizzes, Yuki-san starts testing them over rabbit chat.

Tsumugi: Whenever they get something right, he toasts them on his end, and eventually decides to send gifts he thinks they'll enjoy to the dorm in the taxi that is supposed to take Nagi-san home. Unable to shake off the guests who want him to stay, Nagi-san gets left behind at the party.

Tenn: It's still unclear to me how calling Nagi Rokuya over there turned into a quiz tournament.

Tsumugi: Iori-san's comment: "We received Tsunashi-san's clothes even down to his pants, how was he able to get home? The fountain pen that was meant for me has Re:vale's name engraved on it, so I'll return it to them later."

Tenn: Nagi Rokuya was bored, so I looked after him. I taught him a nursery rhyme (1) to kill time.

Tenn: By the way, Ryu had to be driven home in one of Yuki-san's bathrobes.

Tsumugi: This is where Yuki-san's recollection of the events stops.

Tsumugi: Yuki-san's comment: "Those were really obscure music questions, so I was happy they managed to solve them."

Tenn: Yuki-san doesn't seem to remember just how much he adored those two in that moment.

Tsumugi: Noticing Nagi-san's displeasure, everyone begins talking about Cocona-chan. Drunk, Gaku-san and Yuki-san try to style their hair to look like Cocona's.

Tsumugi: Momo-san posts a picture of it online, and Okazaki-san rushes to delete the post.

Tsumugi: By the way, screenshots of it are still circling the net... ><

Tenn: I wouldn't say their hair looked anything like the real thing.

Tenn: Each work of fiction has a creator behind it. They should've been more respectful.

Tsumugi: Okazaki-san gives up on trying to control the situation and drowns his sorrows in alcohol.

Tsumugi: This is where his recollection of the events stops.

Tsumugi: Okazaki-san's comment: "We're a small agency, so I thought I'd let Yaotome Productions would do something about it!"

Tenn: I remember him crying: "Thank goodness Gaku-kun is also in the shot..!!"

Tsumugi: Around this time, an imitation contest begins.

Tsumugi: Team Hure Hure: Kujo-san, Gaku-san, and Yuki-san

Tsumugi: Team MATSURI: Gaku-san, Tsunashi-san, Momo-san, and Okazaki-san

Tsumugi: Team L&G: Tsunashi-san, Nagi-san, and Anesagi-san

Tsumugi: The actual MATSURI costumes didn't involve fundoshi as underwear, but this group chose to put them on for authenticity.

Tenn: I just don't get it.

Tsumugi: The last bastion of reason, Anesagi-san, suddenly gets extremely excited during the taking of the L&G pictures, and passes out drunk instantly.

Tsumugi: This is where Anesagi-san's recollection of the events stops.

Tsumugi: Anesagi-san's comment: "I regret nothing."

Tenn: At least one of us had fun.

Tsumugi: The topic shifts to the fact that Re:vale used to live together. Gaku-san, Tsunashi-san, and Okazaki-san keep casually suggesting that they move back in together, and they keep bashfully rejecting the idea. This goes on for the next 30 minutes.

Tsumugi: Then suddenly, Momo-san erupts with a "Do you hate being with me that much!?", and Re:vale begins arguing.

Tenn: I was starting to get tired of those two skirting around each other, but I was still surprised that they went off on each other like that so suddenly.

Tenn: Also, I was honestly taken aback by how intense Re:vale's fights can be.

Tsumugi: Momo-san declares that he will move into the IDOLiSH7 dorm, and begins gathering the things he keeps at Yuki-san's apartment.

Tsumugi: Yuki-san responds with "I've always thought I should rescue him from the Kujo family, so I'll start living with Tenn-kun."

Tsumugi: Thinking that he's going too far by bringing up Kujo-san's delicate family situation, TRIGGER begins booing loudly.

Tenn: They did.

Tsumugi: Momo-san decides that "Yuki, Tenn, and Sogo's uncle seem like the types of people Kujo will go after", and discusses forming an "Anti-Kujo front" with Riku-san and Tamaki-san. Tamaki-san agrees.

Tenn: Seriously, what's with this supposed front.

Tsumugi: Tamaki-san's comment: "I think he's in danger, but when I told So-chan, he started scolding me and we had a fight. We still haven't made up."

Tsumugi: Sogo-san's comment: "Though I'm honored, I think it's outrageous to compare me to Kujo-san or Yuki-san. If anything, I think it's an insult to them. I don't think I'm in the wrong, but I'm planning to apologize to Tamaki-kun."

Tenn: So even they got dragged into a fight. Are they alright?

Tsumugi: Arguments of that caliber are nothing new to them, I think they'll be fine!

Tenn: It's in bad faith to apologize without understanding why the other person is upset. They're going to end up fighting all over again.

Tsumugi: As he's being asked about possible vacancies in the dorm, Riku-san fids out about Kujo-san's potential move.

Tsumugi: Riku-san's comment: "If he can go live with Yuki-san, then he can come back home, too! He should just live with me!!!"

Tenn: He says that as if he's prepared to leave the IDOLiSH7 dorm. Even though he doesn't have the guts to actually do it.

Tsumugi: At this point, Kujo-san loses his composure. He makes everyone except Nagi-san kneel on the floor and think of what they've done.

Tsumugi: Nagi-san's comment: "Tenn-nii is an angel."

Tenn: I feel a bond of some kind with Nagi Rokuya due to this incident.

Tsumugi: Final report. Nagi-san slept in Yuki-san's bed, while Tsunashi-san slept on the floor next to it. Yuki-san fell asleep while still kneeling on the floor. Anesagi-san took pictures of Nagi-san's sleeping face. Momo-san fell asleep while gathering his things into a cardboard box. Gaku-san and Okazaki-san fell asleep mid-drink.

Tsumugi: Your final comment: "I guess I could compare this to being a zookeeper for a day?"

Tenn: It was a mess.

Tsumugi: So it seems...

Tenn: Did Re:vale's fight get resolved?

Tsumugi: Yes, they've settled down!

Tenn: That's good, then.

Tenn: Maybe if I'd heard them out properly, it wouldn't have come to that.

Tsumugi: That's not true..! I pushed my worries onto you as well... You were a great help. Thank you so much.

Tsumugi: I'm sure Re:vale would agree. They told me they were going to start celebrating that night as Tenn Kujo Appreciation Day!

Tenn: Don't make that hellish evening into a thing.

Tenn: I do appreciate the sentiment. Even Gaku and Ryu seem to remember some of Re:vale's spat, so they now have more self-awareness of what sort of people their supposed ex-partners are.

Tenn: Now they hang around me because I'm safe and familiar. We're doing great.

Tsumugi: I guess the fact that this gave TRIGGER the opportunity to reaffirm their bonds is a silver lining..?

Tenn: It's not like our bonds were being tested to begin with.

Tenn: But since those two are offering to treat me for dinner, I guess I'll take them up on the offer.

Tsumugi: That's wonderful. Have fun!

Tenn: I'll eat something really expensive.

Tsumugi:

Tenn: I'll need to start comparing dessert buffets.

Tsumugi: I'm glad you seem to be enjoying yourself, Kujo-san! They really did return to you.

Tenn: I'm not happy about that or anything.

Tenn: Well then, I'll start heading to the set. I look forward to another shoot with you today.

Tsumugi: Yes. I'll be waiting for you there..!

Ryuu Masaki's #1!!

This survey of what all the Moon Troupe members like about their Top Star was published in the July 2016 GRAPH, a couple months before her retirement.

This feature always has a lot of emojis being used which I wasn’t able to entirely replicate since I need it to be readable on all platforms...I’m experimenting with how to deal with this sort of thing.

The Place Where We Get Back Home

Super insipred by @pascalcampion’s brilliant art on instagram! I can’t believe how a person can inspire me so so much! Whenever I see his new posts on instagram, I always ended up spacing out, making out stories in my head that was inspired by his art. Thank you for helping me getting back my wild imaginations! You’re the best!

I might not be the tallest building around.

But I stand out the most, because every night, the lights on every floor lights up like a christmas tree and it always smells like home.

Well, because I am home.

Four stories isn’t that tall, but I do look intimidating somehow. My bricks are also bright red with some vines hanging around here and there. They’re nice. Compared to other apartments around me, I do stand out a lot. The rest of the building are just plain gray or white, nothing interesting really.

I was built a long time ago. A time when people were still fighting for peace, where people had to crouch under their tables, bracing themselves from another blow, too late to get down through the stairs and get out of the building. I’ve witnessed many, many lives of people. Some were happy, mostly sad, some were living without any excitement. I’ve witnessed many deaths, I’ve witnessed birth, I’ve witnessed proposals, I’ve witnessed it all.

But never been before in my entire existence in this world, have I ever witnessed something like what is happening right now. So many happiness and excitement happening around the floor. I’ve never seen this much happiness since forever.

My brick might be rotten and weary.

But I keep on holding, just to witness another lives of these people.

Claire and Mitsuki were the first ones who light up the place. Their excitement and lively aura brought me back from my sleep the first time they came around. They saved up so long, so much just to get out of their old lives. Claire was so tired being defined by the people around her. She kept forgetting who she was, too busy pleasing people around her when the only one who needs pleasure was really her all along. Claire picked her own furniture without worrying about voices telling her of what to have and what not to have, she painted her walls, she danced around the room like nothing in the world matters to her.

Mitsuki spent her life living under many people’s expectations. Everything around her went by too fast, she felt like she couldn’t catch up. Her mind decided to leave her body and watch everything went by from afar instead of changing her pace to match everyone else. She was the tree where everyone rests their weary souls. But a tree, sometimes, also needs clouds to cover them from the overheating sun. When Claire came along, everything seemed to go by not as fast, Mitsuki somehow came to her senses and got up her pace, everything seemed to be slowing down after a while. Because of the cloud, the sun didn’t seem to shine too overwhelmingly then. Instead of watching her life pass by, her mind came back to where it belongs, back as the god of its own body. Mitsuki shared her passion and how she sees the world to Claire. Don’t be mistaken, Mitsuki is still a tree for the weary souls. But at the end of the day, a cloud was just the only thing she needed.

Claire and Mitsuki brought laughter and excitement into my old bricks. Although they both live on the highest floor where weird musics and hysteric laughter was always heard, when you see from the outside, the light on their floor is the most dim.

And now brings me to the person who lives on the third floor.

They call him Nyx. But it isn’t his real name, really. He is daring and a person who was born with natural charisma. He voices out his opinions and his views with confidence. But unfortunately, not everyone could accept his views and ideology. He was too comfortable living on his own, a lone wolf. He didn’t have the need of another company, a relationship with another human would count as something unnecessary to him. But oh, how he was wrong. It was Christmas when he bumped into Mitsuki when she was running up to her floor. Nyx knew it was Christmas Eve and everyone--except him--were all excited for the next day. It wasn’t out of the ordinary for someone to wear santa’s hat. Mitsuki was wearing one and it pissed his entire being.

“I’m sorry?” Mitsuki said when she saw Nyx scoffing on her back, which took Nyx by surprise. He didn’t think she would hear him.

“Your hat is ridiculous.” He said, opening his door halfway, making his way in before stepping back out, “No, actually, this whole thing is ridiculous.”

Mitsuki, at that time who was bringing groceries just stood there, wondering what made him think that this whole thing is ridiculous. Standing one feet on the stairs, she asked him to elaborate, ended up him telling everything about the idea of Christmas is just a consumerism in disguise. In her mind, Mitsuki wanted to scream obligations, but she have lived her life listening to people before voicing out her own opinion. So she listened. She listened until he was lost in his own explanation.

“You know, instead of making assumptions and false judgement on this huge thing you call consumerism disguised, maybe you would like to come to my floor and spend Christmas together? Me and my roomate is making pasta and you’re more than welcome to join.” Mitsuki said, “And maybe, just maybe, Claire--my roomate, does have the same view like you? Who knows?” She explained.

Nyx blinked, he never celebrated Christmas since he left his parent’s house 12 years ago. He would be lying if he said he wasn’t excited when Mitsuki asked him. He remember how Christmas used to be special to him, just like everyone else. He hid his excitement under the lie that he wanted to know of how Claire, Mitsuki’s roomate, also has the same view as him just like Mitsuki said. Instead, Nyx found himself arguing with Claire--who apparently worships Christmas--the whole night. Ended up with them, clinking glasses, celebrating Christmas.

By then Nyx realized how he enjoyed himself when he was talking to Mitsuki, as well as when he argued with Claire. He realized how he just wanted to be heard when all these time, he was just being ignored. That night, Nyx learned new things. He learn that he never really enjoyed himself being something he call a lone wolf.

These three people have changed the atmosphere inside my red brick walls. It was never this lively before. Oh, I’m not quite finished yet actually. There is still the young couple who lives on the second floor and a lively grandmother who lives with her two grandchildren on the first floor. I was just telling how everything started and how everything connects after that.

I listen to people’s lives. I was tired, but I decided to hold on. I want to witness a little bit of hope that is left in this world, on my floors. It’s been a while since I’ve heard that phrase. The phrase that I’ve been longing to hear. The phrase that everyone on the whole floor says, whether it is night or day.

“I’m home”

a/n: I tried to make it obvious but vague at the same time(?) if it’s even possible haha. Claire had anxieties/depression where she kept being defined by the people around her. She couldn’t find her identity, who she really was, what she really wanted and passionate about, she wasn’t sure anymore. Also, Mitsuki had depersonalization where she kept finding herself detached from her own body as her mind was flying around aimlessly, watching things pass by her. Everyone reached to her whenever and she just didn’t seem to have someone to reach. As for Nyx, he was living his life in full denial. He had this little chant inside his head that he does not need anyone else other than himself--which is bullshit haha.

I don’t speak well in real life. I stutter most of the times. But I hope my writing is clear enough for everyone to understand that mental illness is real. As lethal as cancer or tumor or heart attack. What made it more scary is that this illness was never there to bee seen. So people just assume that it doesn’t exist. Maybe she’s just crazy, maybe he’s just sad. And then the next thing you find of them is their breathless, stiff body. Then, you’ll be sorry.
