The Israel-Arab Conflict isn't Complex
1. 99.7% of MENA (Middle-East & N. Africa) is controlled by one religion, which has ethnically cleansed nearly all others.
2. The conflict is not about land, it's about jihad, which is ethnic cleansing + conquest.
3. Together jihadists + leftists have created a weaponized narrative framework of lies.
4. In reality, Arabs colonized Judea and ethnically cleansed nearly the entire MENA region, where they continue to persecute minorities. They often project their faults on their victims.
5. To be clear, the last thing jihadists want is a new state or new national identity -- they have over 50 already. By their own voices, they want the submission of all others.
6. The left's unholy alliance with jihadists is based on shared values of antisemitism and authoritarianism. Both groups wish to impose their values forcefully on others. Both create webs of rhetoric and grievances to excuse any actions, even the most despicable imaginable which go against any modern values.
7. The only solution is to unravel the threads of hate everywhere we can. We must exorcise antisemitism from our own society, which was deeply embedded in it by the Romans, who created a state religion institutionalizing it.
8. Hate must be completely disassembled from Israel's territories as well, for there to be peace in the region. Globally, we must support moderates and reject extremism.
9. The West must humbly open its mind and realize it hasn't lived up to its own values. It's been deeply programmed to demonize Jews for 1700 years. This hate indoctrination extremely clouds the West's judgements about Israel. Ideas have power.
10. The West is broken when it comes to Jews. Its ideas do not work at all, its obsession is highly neurotic and toxic. Extremism and hate need to be resolved everywhere.
11. The reason Western society is cherished is due to its hard fought for moral values. We must abide by these values if we want our civilization to continue and evolve. We must not fall into depravity. We must intensely guard our virtues!

also thinking about how orin's "assassination" of durge wasn't even that— she wasn't about to give them the mercy of death, the glory of being offered to bhaal. she poked at their brain just enough to hollow them out but keep them breathing, let a tadpole fill in the holes, and threw them in the path of a myrkulite necromancer. she ensured they'd keep living, whether they wanted to or not. she denied them the greatest blessing of all, and in that moment, she was more in control of herself and her urges than she had ever been in her entire life

tamsyn was absolutely unhinged for writing
“Bury me next to you in that unmarked grave, Joy. We knew that was the only hope we ever had-that we would live to see it through… And pray for our own cessation. Oh, we’ll still hate each other, my dear, we have hated each other too long and too passionately to stop… But my bones will rest easy next to your bones.”
like. did she expect me to MOVE ON after that?

The Talk (page 4)
Doodler AU post || start || previous || next ||
Sparrow’s turn to go “he just like me fr” with the Doodler. All the Oaks r Doodler kinnies 😤
This comic takes place shortly after the Doodler’s homunculus body was made. Lark and Sparrow try to figure out how they feel about the situation.
Dialogue under the cut!
Sparrow: Lark, what did they say?
Lark: …
Lark: It wants to try having a normal human childhood.
Sparrow: oh.
Lark: It’s not going to work. The world doesn’t work that way.
Sparrow: …Well why not?
#dndads#dungons and daddies#dungeons and daddies season 2#dndads s2#sparrow oak#lark oak#the doodler#doodle dot au#cal draws#thetalkcomic#I’m putting this out there before the new episode drops 😭#i hope my characterization works lmao idk if I’ve been getting across what I want with lark and sparrow#my thought process is that lark seems to be very focused on like… self punishing#well both the twins are in s2 I think but the way Lark goes about it is very physical while Sparrow is mental#Lark dedicates practically his whole life to killing the doodler as both a form of mercy and attonent#he sees a lot of himself in the Doodler and for Lark there’s no escaping that self hatred from you past actions#and so he doesn’t think it’s possible to start fresh and anew because he can’t comprehend forgiving yourself#or like forgiveness in general I think#But the Doodler is changed here. they’re not the same being Lark saw into the mind of all those years ago#and Lark is like. now being confronted with the idea that someone who’s like him can try to forgive themselves and seek happiness anyways#while Sparrow doesn’t have the same insight into what the Doodler is or what it’s like as Lark and Normal do#so he has these conflicting stories from two very important people in his life and he’s just not sure what to make of it#but dad brain is dad brain and right now Dot looks A LOT like Hero and Normal when they were younger#so logically he knows he should be wary but like it’s hard to stay fearful mad and upset at someone who looks like ur 8 ur old kid#so he’s been playing mediator while he tries to figure the situation out#but the additional info that Dot also has a want for normalcy like he does tips the scales a little bit I think#if that makes any sense lol

degenerates in the crunchyroll comments pissing me off so bad, some are out right incels expressing how happy they are Arnheid died, or how boring her death is blah blah blah, but the ones that piss me off the most is the ones calling Einar a simp. A simp. For showing humanity to a woman, you are now a simp.

if my username has not made it blindingly obvious, i love maglor. i love him a lot. sad beach cryptid makes my brain go brrrrr
realistically, i dont think he can, or will, ever go home. for a pile of reasons, beginning with all the murders and ending with "the home of his childhood died with finwë and the trees and he literally can never go back". i don't like "realistically"
the silmarillion is fundamentally a tragedy. it's about inevitability, and consequence, and exactly how FAR it's possible for a person to fall. which is why, of course, he did not go back to aman at the end of the first age, not even to stand trial. a trial may have ended in a redemption of sorts for him and that is not what the story is. but. that's the silmarillion
fundamentally, the lord of the rings is about hope. mercy. the love of all living things and the desire to preserve their freedoms. and that is why i have read dozens, and would read hundreds more, of stories about elrond, or his sons, or arwen and aragorn, or samwise gamgee, or daeron or celeborn or random mannish fishermen, or or or— coming across him, choosing mercy, and giving him a chance to become something new. i want it so badly. i hate the idea of him frozen in time as a relic and reminder of the tragedies of the first age, forever and ever, always. but honestly... that desire isn't really about him even if he has been my favorite since i first tried to read the silmarillion at age seventeen, gave up three pages into the ainulindale, and read the wiki instead. giving second chances to people who may or may not deserve them is kind of what people in this story DO. it suits the theme. as much as it would have been a betrayal of the silmarillion's themes for that to have occurred then, it would be equally a betrayal of the lord of the rings' themes if they came across him in the later age(s) and DIDN'T offer.
but beyond that, it makes me so goddamn SAD to imagine him fading into nothing more than a voice on the breeze. i literally cannot tolerate the thought, it physically hurts my heart. (so maybe it is a little about him, actually)
"realistically" is a state of hopelessness and stagnancy, and i'm tired of that. i want wild, unfettered, reckless hope. i want the fourth age to be the age of healing, for everyone. maybe he can't ever go "home". but he can go forward. they can all go forward.

Balmoral does fully blame Foirtchern for Faolan's fate. Like yes, she did get thrown down there but he fully believes she could have changed things. She was, at least in his understanding of her, a Fateweaver. He does think that his existence narrowed and eventually closed that path and of course, he blames his 'father' for even proposing it in the first place.
Especially because he is so sure in his head that Foirtchern did not give a shit of her chances. Odds are together, they could have escaped. But he doubted that Foirtchern wanted to remain any longer than he had to. If he had to screw over some fae to do so, so be it. And even more...it's actually interesting because Bal has his own idea of what Foirtchern is like and he's never met his Abyssborn parent until his appearance recently. But it so happens, he's a lot of what Bal did imagine.
Which probably contributes to his disdain of his parent. Like being cause for Faolan's suffering alone was already terrible terms with Bal. Side note that yes, Faolan was just as terrible of a parent as Foirtchern to Bal. However a combination of an innate loyalty as a Harbinger to her and sort of seeing an 'idealized' version of her in his memory, Bal doesn't view her anywhere as terribly as Foirtchern.
The other part of dislike, I am finding, is because Balmoral can see himself within Foirtchern. And he hates it. He hates it so much. Because he's seeing it as 'this is probably how all of them (his enemies, those he's tricked, etc) view me' and honestly? He can't blame them for not liking him if that's the case. He would want to be rid of himself too.
