i really have a hard time with dealing with how people talk about dv or rather DON'T talk about it. The way i see it, this is practically the #1 feminist issue because it basically epitomizes the dynamic between oppressor and oppressed (obviously I'm talking about when a man abuses a woman). Like some women wanna talk about our supposed agency in the situation, and i hate to be a fucking downer, but for so many cases, it's just non-existent. I know this may shock a lot of people, but there are MANY women who have no idea there are services available to them to help escape these situations. I spoke to at least one who straight up admitted she didn't know there were women's shelters.
I think for a lot of people, this ignorances stems from how hard it can be to conceptualize having virtually NO support system. Having absolutely no one to rely on other than your abuser, and no one pointing out that your relationship isn't healthy. And other times (frequently) you have people pressuring you to suck it up and stay. We have one client with fucking babies with her abuser whose mom has been telling her she needs to stay with him despite knowing all he has done to her AND that he has a fucking kill kit in his car (rope, tape, shovel, knives, gloves, etc). This shit is WILD and so many people have no idea how bad it can be.
And those are just the super dangerous situations. I've been around DV my entire life, most people have, but just don't realize it. It's not hard to just look and see WHY this shit happens. Money, kids, lack of education/independence, the extremely poor, debalitating self-esteem that is so common in women- these are just a few of the base level factors.
And feminism is about realizing that, seeing women's position in life as it really fucking is, and trying to help women liberate themselves. So, all that being said, fucking shrugging your shoulders like "oh geez idk just dont date men" is soooooo fucking stupid

i know we are all critical of buccal fat removal and that many women get very weirdly defensive abt it and try to leverage that critics of it don’t know firsthand and i just want to offer up that i had buccal fat removal when i was 24 (? i cant even remember now—i was in a bad place after an abusive relationship and was getting invasive cosmetic surgeries done left and right) so i CAN actually tell you with firsthand experience to NOT do it. it IS as bad as everyone is telling you. it IS as ruinous as we are saying. it DOES butcher your face irreparably. so pls don’t come at me being like “you have no idea how would you even know” cuz lmao i literally did it. i fell for the lie. i cannot reverse it, i cannot fix it. i regret it every day of my life. i will never have my face back. don’t fall for the lie cuz it IS a lie.
i had thee absolute top surgeon in my state and it was still a lie. i did everything he said and my recovery was “perfect” and it was still a lie.
it’s not “haters” who are “jealous” of you saying you’re scheduling your buccal fat removal surgery. it’s a not-insignificant number of women like me who fell for that shit and yknow what, now i AM jealous of you, ironically, bc you haven’t yet gone through with it. cuz you still have your own wonderful natural face and you have the option to decide not to be stupid and jeopardize it. you think you know now but you unfortunately don’t until it happens, until your face begins to cave in on itself, until you’re told that you now “need” xyz procedures to support the cheeks you just sucked out etc etc it never ends it never fucking ends you will never be satisfied and you can’t ever undo it
i have this unfortunate insider knowledge of at least 4 different major invasive cosmetic procedures and i regret every single one. they ruined my life in every conceivable way (even though i was considered a major success patient) and one surgery literally almost killed me. i thought i was so damn smart and resilient until i realized i can’t ever go back.
the “doing it for myself” speech stops mattering real fuckin quick when you’re alone in your room looking in your mirror wondering how anyone could’ve let you do this. i am not an outlier. i am a common statistic. you are not immune. don’t let them have your face.

least favorite saiki ship and why ?

i dont like saying it on here much cuz its one of the most popular ships in the fandom (the number one most popular ship is kubokai, and im not a fan of that either ☠️ i just think theyre the ship you get from looking at the show/manga purely at surface level and just picking two characters that are close friends and saying 'they should date' even though they wouldnt actually fit together.. i just dont see it personally lol.. OKAY ANYWAY SORRY-) but i really dont like torisai 🧍🏻♀️
(im about to talk about sa under this, fair warning)
i literally just posted today about people shipping things in ways that mildly trigger me, and torisai shippers do it pretty bad !! for some reason, mikorei shippers and yumetori shippers etc dont really do the thing that torisai shippers do where they romanticize sexual assault in the way they write them.. im not sure why that is, maybe they think that men cant be sa'd in the way women can ? they think cuz its a gay ship that its okay to write tori sexually harassing and assaulting him (+acting like its cute, not tagging it accordingly with warnings, etc) ? crazy. especially since saiki is implied to be a victim of sa (or at least is canonically a victim of sexual harassment and attempted sa) by his brother..
that whole thing is something i genuinely think is awful and nobody should romanticize sa, but toritsuka isn't inherently awful and still had potential and good character development, so that alone doesnt really make the ship that bad since the shippers are the problem.. i actually used to be okay with it until the shippers ruined it for me, but thinking critically about it (and thinking about WHY the shippers believe that their dynamic is so sexually abusive) did make me realize how much the ship sucks anyway.. (imo !!)
its partly because i project onto saiki, but i already mentioned how saiki is canonically a victim of (at least attempted) sa, and i reallly believe that he would not be interested in dating someone who is so obsessed with sex to the point where he canonically sexually harasses people and tries to peep without their consent !! he is literally an sa victim, obviously that would make him so uncomfortable!!
their friendship at the end of the series is nice and one of the most developed in the series, so i get where people got the ship from, cat tank incident invites a lot of content about them... but toritsuka still has a lot of work to do on himself before he can date ANYONE, and ESPECIALLY a literal sa victim..
when he saw saiki as a girl, one of the first things he did was DIRECTLY ask him about his boobs.. WHY WOULD HE DATE HIM AFTER THAT SKSNKAKAMSK..
actually lol, when i made that post today about ship content that triggers me, part of that was specifically inspired by torisai shippers lol.. ok i finished Lolita, here's my rambling notes which are really more about me & my reactions than the book. I stopped taking as many notes the further in I went.
the forward for this is so funny. we got someone in universe telling us that the things this guy says are absurd and you should NOT fall for his bullshit, because he is NOT a gentleman.

it is truly kind of fascinating how he makes it sound like their trip wasn't all that bad and just offhandedly mentions horrific stuff like the rate at which she sexually abused her, or how Dolores cried herself to sleep every night when she thought he was asleep, and how she almost never seemed to actually be happy. and yet he'll go on and on about all the things they got to see, and how much money this whole kidnapping roadtrip cost him.
the fact that he now has to just straight up pay her, and she's clearly not enjoying anything is so !!! and then he has the NERVE to steal her money back while she's away !! the money she's probably trying to save up to get away from him !! do you guys know what thats like?? when the money youve carefully saved just.. disappears?? good god.

I've seen your post about Ron's positive/underrated traits, one of them being kindness and how if he was a girl, he would be characterised as a caretaker. However, that trait is overlooked by most of the fandom. Do you think the fact that Ron is a boy has something to do with it (since kindness and being caring are generally considered "feminine" virtues and men with "feminine" traits are either overlooked or looked down upon)? If he was a girl, would his love and devotion be appreciated more?
Its a mix. Mostly they are being ignored bcz people don't remember them. Why? Bcz they watch movies/read out of character fanfics more than they read books.
Ron helps Harry to put his pajama on in COS.
Ron wants to make Hagrid tea when Hagrid is upset bcz that's what his mom does.
Ron forces Hermione to eat a decent meal when she is ignoring her dinner for study.
Ron cuts bacons and puts them on Harry's plate when he is hurting from Umbridge's scar.
Now. People don't remember them. Partly bcz they don't read books. Partly bcz they DON'T want to like him. They focus on what they want to see and exaggerate those ten times. They only remember how much abusive he is to Hermione and how he 'betrayed' Harry.
It's same with Ron and Hermione. Its always 'oH hOw mUcH tHeY fIgHt' but never how many times Ron jumps into her defence, how much times she spends time with Ron without Harry, how Hermione apologises to him, him apologises to her, how Hermione stands up against twins for him, how she kisses on his cheek to distract him from the song Malfoy wrote, how she is absolutely devastated when he isn't with her in DH. (They do focus on that scene though. Very much. Just in a different way. They use it to say he 'abandoned' them) how much happy she is when He isn't with lavender anymore, how many times he consoles her effortlessly, how many times he calls her amazing and brillaint. Etc etc
People don't want to love Ron. Bcz
1. He is red head, poor, comes from a working class family, wears hand me down stuff. West romanticizes/sympathizes with the rich. Not with the poor. There's HEAVY classism in the Harry Potter fandom.
2. Most Men see themselves as Harry. Most Women see themselves as Hermione. And they don't exactly want friends of Harry. They want followers. Who would bindly worship and follow him. They want someone who would worship the ground Hermione walks on. Needless to say Ron doesn't do either of those two things. Lmao
3. Women want to bang whatever character they personally fancy and use Hermione as a SI blank slate. So they cant digest Ron as he 'comes in the way' of their fap material fanfics.
4. Ron doesn't have anyone defending him. Whenever Hermione messes up, Hagrid, Luna, the narrative are there to defend her. Heck even Harry defends her once in HBP. When Harry messes up he has the abused orphan card. Plus narrative support and Hermione. Whenever Ron messes up who is there to defend him? If anything narrative doubles down to bash him.
5. Ron's flaws hit home much harder than Harry or Hermione's. Each and everyone atleast once feels jealousy, envy, insecurities in their life. But if you are white, will you understand Malfoy's racism? Or if you aren't an orphan can you understand Harry being self centred? These are superficial flaws. Ron's are REAL flaws. Peoole don't want to be reminded of their flaws.
Ron gets very much injustice from this fandom. People don't value him. Forget about treating him as 1/3rd of the main characters, they don't even give him the minimum respect. Ron's EVERY positive thing is underrated. Each and every. Not only kindness. His flaws are exaggerated, he is bashed, ridiculed, maligned, annihilated. Fandom Ron is an OC. just like fandom Malfoy is an OC.
If he was a girl he would have got Ginny treatment. Ginny gets maligned for coming in the way of Harry ships. Ron would have been treated the same way.

have built a wall on the mexican but not the canadian border
spent billions over billions for military and other operations to control other countries and have the most power on a global scale while many of the population cant even afford healthcare and live in very precarious situations or even without housing due to the unwillingness to regulate corporations and grant better workers and tenants rights
refuse to regulate big corporations and let technology companies grow unchecked which is kind of ruining the internet
claim to hate religious fundamentalism when its about islam while evangelicals are one of the most powerful political groups and fundamentalists are allowed to homeschool and isolate their kids
abused the jews wish for their own country to install the state of israel for control in the middle east, funding displacement and systematic cleansing of palestinians with the help of the british
still systematically discriminate against the native population and leave them in a vulnerable position leading to a huge issue with kidnapping, trafficking and unsolved murders of native girls and women
has almost 5 % of its population incarcerated who then are not allowed to vote with 30 % of the female prison population being prostitutes
have a sham democracy run by billionaires and reagan is mainly responsible for undoing social progress by enforcing neoliberalism and lying about trickle down effects
have no public broadcast and all news sources are privatised
still have the death penalty and abortion bans in some states

yet usamericans have the gull to get on a high horse and point fingers at other countries because what? a european was mean online? lmao. and what gets me the most is that they often couldnt even name the president or point out said countries on a map.

Why Cant I Be Naked Outside?
Ive been naked inside of my apartment all day for the past two days.
Im a full-time freelance podcaster.
What started out as pure laziness and a response to an arthritis flareup turned into a thought experiment:
What would happen if I went outside naked right now?
Why cant I go outside like this? Who am I hurting?
One of the biggest bullshit programming in American soeicty from the literal time we are "born" is you cant be naked outside.
Lifelong conditioning, programming, brainwashing and endless reinforcements.
And I literally cant walk outside right now naked without potentially being arrested, harrassed, assaulted, raped, abducted and/or killed.
The societal programming against public nudity is both conscious and subconscious, subtle and overt, transparent & hidden, embedded & obvious.
Why cant I go outside naked?
Bullshit automatic responses:
•Safety
•Hygiene
•"Public decency".

Why does the state have an "interest"?
Hygiene is such a crock.
The people who say omg!hygiene like the ones who commented my tiktok in my underwear are all full of shit.
The lie is vaginal discharge, menstrual bleeding and STIs (genital warts & herpes, etc) could potentially infect and/or transmit diseases, bacteria, germs, etc on public chairs, benches, seats, stadiums, etc if people werent wearing underwear.
So, they claim not wearing underwear is "unhygienic" therefore public nudity laws are necessary.
So, if I go outside in underwear that covers my butt and pussy and nothing else, were good to go right?
Ofcourse not, because there are topless laws for women.

Dying to know your thoughts on the Diana arc, especially the role she plays in his vision(?) o.o I'd seen it written down a couple places that she is emotionally abusive but...I don't really see it? Apart from the throw away line about the "first time I sleep with you" which did make her seem like a tease? She also redeemed herself, but I'm also just a sucker for Mimi Rogers xD

diana was abusive for sure, i can do a real post on her maybeee tomorrow but it’s been talked about a bit here and i’ve done a couple of posts on her + her relationship with mulder here and here. but i’m definitely planning on talking more about her if y’all are interested because i find her character arc really interesting lol
the main things for me are definitely the taking her shirt off in mulder’s apartment while he was unconscious. and then checking him into a psych ward?? where he was like…locked in a padded room screaming?? and she wouldn’t let scully see him?? LIKE I CANT EVEN TYPE ALL THAT OUT LOUD SJFHHDHC
i also don’t think he called her in the first place at all, i’ve seen it posited before that krycek called her and i think that’s likely what happened. he wasn’t really in the condition to call anyone and he wouldn’t have called her first.
also, the information that TLG and scully found in one son about her collecting data on the MUFON women just leaves the worst taste in my mouth. the way scully compares it to herself and to cassandra; diana was tracking women like her, and participating in their violation. working with CSM for who knows how long on who knows what.
it’s just all the little things, kissing him in one son. diminishing scully and lying in her reports.
i don’t trust her and neither does scully lmao

It's a really good game teehee :3 let me try and provide context for the ones i understand
-a character can see ghosts. this is never elaborated on (fuck i dont remember lmao. is it mafuyu?? maybe. oh well i cant elaborate on this lol)
-all main characters can teleport to a separate dimension based on their psyches and also hatsune miku is in there (this is the plot of the game! :3)
-a girl imagines her female friend kissing her and gets so flustered those around her are concerned (she rizzes her up good. also she saves her from dying. they also get married canonically sort of <3)
-a song very explicitly about having sex with men, originally sung by all women, is covered by all men (ifuudoudou akty/fantasista squad cover <3 lmao)
-actually correct me if I'm wrong I can't think of a single love song that is covered by an m/f pairing (WRONG akian gimme x gimme)
-a character causes explosions at school near daily (this guy is an inventor and he's Very Silly)
-a character is sad her friends don't go to the same school as her so her solution is to sprint across the entire city and break into their school to hang out. she does this frequently (EMU OTORI!! shes very hyper and yeah her green haired gamer gf questions it and her orange haired world future star ⭐️ bf also sometimes question it but the previous silly guy she is also dating and they cause chaos together)
-a group gets stranded on a deserted island (canon event, the character in the previous one happens to be a part of a family that owns a theme park! she does ambassadorial shows for said theme park and on the way to one their yacht crashed on a deserted island)
-hatsune miku stops a suicide attempt (this girl who lost herself due to severe emotional abuse and manipulation from her mother tried to strand herself in one of the previously mentioned worlds created from psyches, but miku saves her)
-a highschooler makes a borderline if not outright sapient robotic replica of his childhood friend. nobody considers this a particularly world shattering achievement of ai (this is the guy who blows stuff up)
-the robot was created to help with social anxiety/stage fright (the girl is very social anxiety!! she is an INCREDIBLE singer but due to failing in the past, she cant sing in front of others so she uses the doll)
-the robot has rocket launchers (what can i say the guy who made it is very silly)
-the robot has a job as a theme park performer and gets a salary (yeah)
-a characters family member is dead and it takes her three years to find out (light up the fire... eughh.... not much context honestly it is what it is)
-a character has a body guard dressed in a full mascot costume at all times follow her around (she's the girl whose family owns the theme park! she must be protecc lol)
-a character got into fights with professional wrestlers on tv as a middle schooler/high schooler (not sure the exact age) (i actually have no fucking idea who this is lol)
-there's official sonic collaboration costumes (yep, theyre called Sonic Style)
-fuck is said three times and it's all by members of the theme park troupe that performs for children (indeed! law-evading rock twice and ego rock)
-catgirl hatsune miku almost impales a man without realizing it (they do a magic show in which the man went into a box which was supposed to be stabbed with three swords. but uh oh oopsies miku accidentally uses all five)
-sometimes miku is a catgirl (this is true. one of the mikus has raccoon ear things)

TW: Mentions of Proship, Homophobia, "Cringe" Culture, Racism and Gay Stereotypes.
Just watched the new episode and... holy shit, that was foul!
It was terribly boring, was just used to show how "GOOD OF A PAL!" Blitz was despite the other episodes being canon and- The way homophobia was shown? OH GOD that was awful! Not because it was depicting homophobia or bad parents of gay people, especially as someone who's expericed homophobia in my own family, depicting homophobia as a "bad thing" is good and all-
BUT THIS!? WHAT THE FUCK IS THIS???!
It looks like what a homophobe would draw in the #alt-right section of Twitter! This, the dildos, the man tied up and being forced to marry another gay men who's the "predator" of the group, his homophobic father being "proven right" by how predatory all the gay men he meets are. Again- look at this image and try to tell me directly that "ITS NOT INTERNALIZED HOMOPHOBIA!" Because you cant, you literally fucking cant. This scene, along with most of the mlm rep of Hazbin and Helluva Boss is that fucking (unintentionally) homophobic with how it portays it's messages.
This entire scene, and all the dildo scenes and moments of Chaz just being "the creepy gay!" stereotype from the 90s felt awful to watch... a gay man, in a show with only mainly gay men who are sex predators being forced to marry a another man so the "OH SO HEALTHY FOR HIM AND ROMANTIC WOMAN" can save him from "the big scawy sex filled mlm!" and is shown as the hero despite letting him be abused and sexually harassed by his boss. This scene directly- directly made me feel insulted as someone who's bisexual. It felt like I was having "LOL UR HOMOSEX SO UR MOSTLY IN IT FOR THE SEX!" shoved in my face like the homophobes did back in fucking elementary school. It felt like I was being bullied as a gay person just by looking at it. Especially knowing of just how many biphobes are going to see this terrible episode and point to their freinds and be like "SEE? SEE?! ITS BETTER FOR BISEXUALS TO BE WITH A WOMAN MLM (OR WLW in the pilot so far) BISEXUALS BAAAAAAAD BECAUSE MEN WHO ARE WITH MEN END UP BEING PREDATORS MEN WITH WAMAN IS BETTER BECAUSE GIRLS TAME MEN LMAO!" and use it as proof of how "bad!" the mlm bisexuals are.
This is actually one of the worst scenes in the entire series.
This entire scerario, Moxxie's father only being proven "right" because ALL THE GAY MEN IN THIS SHOW ARE SHOWN TO BE "sexual degenerates" and are only "understandable people with morality" if they're with a woman while wlw is only shown as eyecandy. It's either men who are gay are seen as a "fetish" or "predatory abusers" or the women who like mostly or specifically girls are seen as "eyecandy" for the mostly male audience and as a result is validating the homophobes, racists, and ableists in her audience further. So its actually doing the opposite of what was intended for this franchise. It's validating homophobes, not challenging their mindsets to have it's cake and eat it too. They could have easily forced Moxxie to marry a woman (y'know, to show that straight fathers doing this is wrong?! A message we need in this current era of this still happening so much?!) to show how extreme homophobes are and how they see being gay as a "insult to being a man!" but instead they have him surround the marriage with dildos and force him to marry a gay man who's interpreted here as a "sex predator who wont give up his Moksie!" and all.
The fact that they made Chaz a literal 90s stereotype of a gay man here, most gay men in the show being depicted as "predatory" combined with the visuals of dildos everywhere and the only mlm marraige in the show being a forced one-
WHAT THE FUCK KIND OF MESSAGE IS THIS?!
Its no wonder so many fans who defend this show say the word "f^^got!" and "r^tard!" as a insult. This show validates people like that, constantly! Both Hazbin Hotel and Helluva Boss are used as "evidence" that we are "sex predators!" or that people with autism are "stupid butt monkeys who are slow and wont amount to much! So at the end of the day- no matter how much Helluva Boss fans claim that this show is "really helping the community" (in which if you like the rep, good for you, but the mass amounts of stereotyping doesnt it make it any less damaging for us all as a whole, the facts are the facts, showing homophobia and gay men this way gives homophobes more validation!) there will always be thousands of fans like this (TW: If you find this thread dont go too far there's literal Octavia ^^^^^ in it) fans like this because of how the show presents both lgbtq+, black people, and people with disablities:
If the show had good representation, there wouldn't be thousands upon thousands of the fans in websites like 4chan or K^wifarms. It's really that simple... if not extremely sad. AKA: Helluva Boss Season Two Episode Three is validating literal homophobes, racists, and transphobes. It's doing the complete opposite of what was intended and literally is giving homophobes a safe space. Jesus Christ! Also, Vivziepop likes South Park, a show full of transgender stereotypes and homophobia and is only "progressive" to cover up how awful it is.
So that explains how the episode came out this way.
Also, summary of the South Park Scene: Cringe Culture, same for the scene in HB mocking gay men who like furries, ironically, despite being a show that revolves around furries, just because it was porn that revolved around bronies (how cringe! somehow...) and not furry wolves because "ponies too gay lmao!" apparently. Also, they had the narrative react by having people throw up by seeing it. This entire episode was god awful. Season Two as a whole is god awful...

ACH i’m glad I really love ’em… omg I have so much to say about the novels I feel like I’m gonna ramble for a hundred years but TLDR; they’re the terok nor trilogy and they’re called night of the wolves, dawn of the eagles, day of the vipers, and are about the occupation of Bajor from the cardassian DS9. the ones concerning baby odo’s upbringing are dawn of the eagles and night of the wolves:)
honestly i skimmed them a lot for character parts because the writing and OCs didn’t really have me hooked personally, but oh man those parts were stellar. It skips a lot since it follows a lot of chsracters but we get Odo learning to talk, babbling like a baby and being a creepy little slime baby not knowing how to make a real body :) Just adored it! Also his basic education, confusion about gender(yayyy), confusion about identity, and very downplayed but still present mora brand parental abuse. more details and rambles about the novels and details under readmore LOL
Also, Odo’s first years outside. We also get his days as an officer. One ”oh huh” thing is that Mora says it’ll be at least 10 years til he’s can think and function like an adult when he starts working, (which I find particularly interesting as he remarks to Laas he first gained sentience 30 years ago in season 7— making him 23 at the start if the show, and the youngest core crew member any way you slice it.) (extra extra funny that In the beginning script Odo was pitched as a ”middle aged clint eastwood type”— gee, that changed quick!)
We also get Kira’s resistance days which I think tend to be written in a kind of corny YA fashion but it might be fun for some people! And also get a Quark Odo meeting much like in — and we also get Odo’s first-first time seeing Kira when she breaks into his lab, which I think is extra gender fun because he thinks she’s a boy before he’s like wait… she has a different vibe…. bit corny but fun:) Odo also helps out with Bajoran resistance fighting as he gains further understanding, and in fact it’s Kira who recommends him for the job of security chief at DS9 so Ok. Interesting.
Some Odo exerpts I think are very. Good! :]
All in all I’m kindof a snob when it comes to published writing and also I hate most DS9 novels they’re all well, tv tie-in novels but also theu’re either boring as hell, misogynist, racist, or like everyone is an evil sex pervert. The Terok Nor ones are fine, buuuut I would honestly skim if you’re not a diehard for lukewarm space politics, I don’t think the conflict or OCs are especially interwsting and the first book is just about Dukat and Doesn’t explore him in any way I personally find interesting. Dawn of the eagles can be found on internet archive but the others aren’t hard to find Somewhere if you catch my drift.
Also if by any chance you’re interested in any other DS9 pockets my two cents are the only ones that are fun are:
-the tempest
-vengeance
-devil in the sky
-saratoga but only the subplot where odo has to impersonate quark for a ferengi deal the sisko plotline is hell on earth😔
and a stitch in time is widely recommended but I’d skip tbh… or like the parts on ds9 with julian are good, but i cannot say i care at all for the cardassian maze runner divergent ghoul school, nor the way any of the women are written lmao and i read classic french lit for a hobby so u kno its bad if i cant stand it it’s literally the she breasted boobily down the stairs meme😂 i never read the 34th rule because i found its concept extremely tasteless. like really… anyway sorry for the ramble I just get really excited talking about star trek tie-in novels.
TLDR theyre kinda boring but have fun parts and are avaliable free online so i mean why not?
