Making a follow up post for my stupid ass MHA X Monster high x Ever after high x fucking Winx club??? Ehhh???
Tumblr media
Anyways…
Soooo answering this dude up here ^ @faemagic88 let’s just say I got a few ideas
So basically, for anyone who didn’t see my last post?
Quirk toddler uses quirk on Izuku, bakugo, and denki and sends them to monster high, ever after high, and Winx respectively
Lord explosion god dynamight and his fairy tale adventures
For ever after high I totally want bakugo to be apart of the school purely because he heard how the school has a lot of secrets and magical items that might help with his issue, so he decides to force his way in to get back to his universe ( somehow… he’s working out the kinks of his plan )
While there he’s definitely gonna throw a ton of kids for a loop. Not caring about royal or rebel because A. He’s from another universe and B. He just thinks it’s so dumb to follow the paths of your parents just because of something as silly as “destiny”
He’s the type of person who believes that you chose your life, and he’s not gonna be silent about it.
Is he gonna cause more drama in this school? Yes, but this school is already filled with it so whatever
I don’t know what fairy tail he would pretend to be. I think he might pretend to be the son of “Momotaro” from the story “Momotaro; the story of the son and the peach” where basically this boy is born from a peach, soon taken in by a couple. When the boy turns fifteen, he goes off on a journey with a dog, a monkey, and a pheasant to slay the demons on an island, before returning home to be with his family
It makes the most sense, as Momotaro is fairly popular in Japan- or so I’ve heard
But an alternate story I thought of was of him pretending to be the son of Kintarō, “the golden boy” who is a warrior who goes on many journeys throughout his life, slaying beast and saving towns n what not.
Neither story would explain his weird… “explosion magic” as people call it, but hell it’s the best thing that he gots so.
I was thinking of mimickings ever after highs small story structure and maybe have an “episode” where Apple white realizes that he doesn’t seem to care about her, her status, her story, or even her looks and how that kinda bothers her ( more like gets her all riled up. She’s not used to boys just… not even giving her a second look. )
And then another small “episode” of bakugo deciding to take part in a sport cuz… well… let’s just say daring and his group found out that if you tell Bakugo he can’t do something, he’s gonna do it just to show off
Thing is, cerise is in the sport as well in the opposing team, and maybe bakugos team is like “well most of them are girls maybe we should go easy”
Cue the “equal rights equal fights” from bakugo, and basically forces cerise to show off her wolf abilities if she even wants to try to actually win against him.
And… who knows maybe that’s when people realize she’s haft wolf or something lol
I was also maybe having him be apart of the Dragons games??? Like maybe he wasn’t gonna be apart of it, but when Apple white accidentally releases the evil queen and the evil queen he senses some shit is about to go down and thinks “ugh, god, not more bullshit”
Also maybe he gets his own dragon for the games by literally TACKLING AND SUBMITTING ONE OF THE EVIL QUEENS BAD DRAGONS so he could ride it and use it so he could be apart of it.
And yes, Goldielocks did record this for her mirror channel and a bunch of kids did just see one of their “new students” fucking wrestle a dark dragon just cuz he needed a dragon to be apart of the games
Also maybe bakugo finally talks about his… HIS… FEELINGS?1!1!2??2!2?2 GASP lol
But that’s enough for bakugo
Next up
Dekus freaky experiences
Ok so deku… doesn’t know what the FUCK anything is. He just appeared in like the monster high catacombs, got fucking lost in them til Operetta finds him in there.
She’d probably be like “woah hey aren’t you a normie” and dekus like “wh- huh???”
Course before the two can get more into it maybe the place starts crashing down. Cue deku quickly realizing what’s happening and using his quirk to save operetta, there for showing that he definitely is a lot more then JUST a normie
Operetta concludes that deku might be a hafta like Henry Jekyl, and takes him to monster high to help him
Cue deku realizing that he’s NOT where he’s suppose to be. Maybe he tries to explain it to operetta, but when she simply gives him a weird look and ask if he’s ok, he realizes that no one is gonna believe him. So with a deep breath and shaky smile, he simply goes “maybe I just hit my head to harshly…????”
Which- yes, that’s even weirder, but he isn’t about to explain how he’s a human with a quirk when it’s so obvious that everyone is weary of him because of his human look ( he can always tell when people look at him with pity or fear. Being quirkless for most of your life then suddenly having a terrifying, powerful quirk will teach ya that ) so he does his best to just seem normal
Maybe he’ll pretend he didn’t know how he got here, talks to headmistress blood good and asks if she could PLEASE let him stay cuz “he doesn’t remember anything”
And- she’s nice, so she’ll let him stay just as long as he promises to help around the school anyway he can ( she is letting him stay here for free, it’s the least he can do ) and deku agrees to it
Now deku is… SOMEHOW a student at monster high. Everything is weird, but… here comes Frankie, who totally gets his feeling. She helps him out, teaches him all he needs to know, and helps him out- cuz, she knows what it’s like to be the new ghoul in school, and she can tell he definitely needs the help.
Cue Izuku befriending her, and maybe some of her friends.
Of Course, he still wants a way back home, so he’s gonna do everything in his power to do research into this world and ( hopefully, maybe ) try to find something to help him back home.
He’s probably not gonna tell the ghouls what’s actually happening with him til he literally has no where else to go to.
Cue the ghouls helping him go back to his comic book like world ( and maybe finding a way to get there cuz… heroes???? Villains??? Sounds like a scare-tastic experience! )
And ysaaaa they find a lot of secrets in this school. Like a lot. Oh dear
Also I totally want a scene where toralei just drills it into izukus head that he definitely isn’t gonna be all accepted here just cuz he’s “1/3 of a monster” and that he’s definitely gonna have people having it out for him because he’s mostly Normie in nature.
Idk, maybe Izuku might have some dejavú about feeling excluded because of his apparent lack of something
But it’s ok cuz Frankie would definitely cheer him up by saying “haft normie or not, you’re a great person Izuku. Don’t let someone like Toralei get under your skin, she doesn’t know what she talks about. Me and the ghouls care about you, Freaky flaws n all. And nothings gonna change that.”
And have him feel so… happy, because let’s be honest he was only accepted back into society cuz of his quirk. It would probably heal the poor little quirkless kid within him because she basically just told him that he matters, not because of what he has but because of who he is as a person and UGHHHBBN
But that’s enough of deku. Let’s talk about… denki??? How did you get here-
Denki kamanari and his strange, magical journey
Admittedly, I don’t have a lot of ideas for this one. I seriously need to rewatch Winx club, it’s been ages for me lmao
But the basic idea is that he appears right near “Redfountain School for Specialists”
Naturally, he’s freaking out cuz WHAT THE FUCK IS THIS PLACE
After a while of freaking out, he looks up to see the WHAT THE FUCK IS THAT??? THATS A GIANT ASS PLACE
But as he looks around, realizing that there’s only trees for miles on end, he decides to head into the school to try and find someone to help him. Because… where the fuck is he? He just wanna go back to Izuku and Bakugo :(
So he heads in. I was thinking that it’s probably assembly day, and the kids around him just assumes hes just some poor new kid who’s about to get in trouble cuz he’s not in uniform. It’s an important meeting for the school, so he just gets dragged in with a bunch of boys who are about to be late.
I imagine he’s just trying to ask questions, sees these boys running, and says “what’s going on??” And they turn to him and go “dude, important assembly today! We’re about to be fuckin late, come on”
And they just run off.
And welll- denkis confused and weirded out but… if it means finding someone who can find him, then he’ll just follow behind and play along for now
Long story short, he ends up accidentally becoming a part of the school cuz- just- no one is questioning this yellowed hair boy with a lighting streak on the side. He’s not the weirdest thing they’ve seen. Not to mention- school in the middle of the forest, not really seen by outsiders?
Most people probably wouldn’t think it’s an outsider. I mean… who the fuck would be out in this forest anyways?
And well- it’s probably only haft way though does denki actually tell them what happened to him. And maybe they don’t believe him at first, but once he shows off his “magic” they might start to believe him.
Thing is, the show never really went into this school a lot ( at least what I remember ) sooo I might just make up a bunch of shit for this
I mean the other plan is just to have him be in the fairies school, they quickly realize he’s not suppose to be here, and probably do everything in their power to bring him back to his old world so idk
BUUUTTR the idea of denki learning to fight with a sword is cool and funny at the same time SO-
Also also I’m definitely gonna take some shit from the scrapped monster high x ever after high movie that was suppose to be made but never was, so that’s actually a perfect way to get deku and bakugo back together
Not to mention I’m probably gonna have Cupid ( who actually appears in both shows as an important side character ) to be involved. I mean, dimensional traveling? That’s kinda her thing, I think she would catch wind very quickly that bakugo ISNT from a fairy tale story.
But uhhh yea that’s all of my ideas I guess. Do with them with what you want lmao

(some of the) eah rebel students as incorrect quotes
Cedar: Are we really going to let Raven keep Cerise? Kitty: We kept Maddie.
!!!
Maddie: Awww, why don't you like cats, Raven? They're just snuggly buddies! They have toe beans! They make a little blep! What's not to love?? Raven: I don't know Maddie, I just prefer to be conscious instead of dead on the floor. Maddie: Raven: I'm ALLERGIC.
!!! Kitty: Isn’t it weird that we can’t ride any other animal except horses. Like if horses weren’t a thing, humans would be fucked cause we couldn’t ride any other animals. Like riding animals wouldn’t really be a thing. We should probably be more grateful to horses. Maddie: Elephants. Kitty: Blocked. Cerise: Camels. Kitty: Extra blocked. Cedar: Donkeys. Kitty: Ultra blocked. Raven: That dick. Kitty: ...Followed.
!!!
Raven, looking at a dead phone: How do we bring this thing back to life? Magic? Live sacrifice? I know a guy in town-
!!!
Maddie: *gets a text* Oh! It’s Kitty. Cerise, excitedly: Did they get me the stuff? Maddie: Yeah, they say they got you the clown costume, the power drill, and 12 gallons of blood. Cerise: Wow! Where’d they find 12 gallons of fake blood? Maddie: You wanted fake blood? Cerise: Maddie: I’ll go call Kitty.
!!!
Headmaster Grimm: Raven, I’ve left a letter telling your mother not to worry— Raven: She won’t. Headmaster Grimm: that you’re safe— Raven: That’ll just depress her. Headmaster Grimm: —and you’ll see her in a few weeks. Raven: Do I have to?
!!!
Kitty: Guys, there’s a monster under my bed and it’s really ugly. Cerise, on the bottom bunk: Honestly, fuck you.
!!!
Maddie: How would you like your tea? Cedar: As dark as my soul. Maddie: Got it, one cup of milk coming right up!
!!!
*at 3am* Kitty: *runs into Cerise’s room and turns on the light* Wake up sleepyhead! Cerise: *wakes up* Dude! Kitty: *cackles* Raven: *sits up from where they were sleeping behind Cerise* What the fuck, Kitty? Kitty: *jaw drops* Wait WHAT-
!!!
Maddie: YOU CHEATED! Cerise: So did my dad, but hey, my mom knew it all and even sorted out their wedding, so what’s the problem? Cedar: I… can confirm that that actually happened. Maddie: …What.
!!!
Kitty: Hey, Cerise, have you thought about having children? Cerise: ... Cerise: Does looking over you and the others not seem like I already do? Because I promise you, it sure feels like it. Kitty: But we're not childr- Cerise, already distracted: MADDIE, PUT THE FIRE DOWN!
!!!
Cerise: Maddie just said "I have an appetite for destruction" and then they reached down and untied my shoe.
!!!
Cedar: You ever see something that changes your life and you're just like "huh.." Raven: I saw you. Cedar: Honestly that's so cute and sweet but it kinda makes this awkward because I was gonna show you a picture of Cerise in a turkey costume.
!!!
Cedar: Did it hurt when you fell- Kitty: From heaven? Wow, I didn’t think you were such a flirt- Cedar: No, I meant when you fell down the stairs. Kitty: ... Cedar: You just laid there for 15 minutes.
!!!
Maddie: Raven, I rebuke thee! I rebuke thee! Raven: Rebuke? Is that a word? Maddie: You have all invoked my fury! You will all pay recompense for your transgressions! Raven: What, you got like a word-a-day calendar or something?
!!!
Cedar: Plants have feelings too?! What is this? Now I can't have food! Cerise: You can eat a rock. Raven: Air. Kitty: The fabric of time and space. Maddie: Chugging a bottle of bleach can solve all your problems. Cedar: You guys are not helpful.
!!!
Cedar: So anyways have y'all seen Maddie? Cerise: I think they went in Kitty's room 'studying'. Raven: Doubt that. I heard groans there. *Meanwhile in Kitty's room* Maddie & Kitty, fighting:
!!!

you don’t understand. sparrow and cerise are cousins. Do you get me? Sparrow and cerise are cousins and that means sparrow and Ramona are cousins too even though he doesn’t know it. As someone whose been raised alongside many many cousins. This is hilarious to me because of the potential holy shit. I totally think cerise and sparrow were close in their childhood years before Something (very specific smth that aligns with my hc for sparrows mom (who is not!! Maid Marian btw!!) and that whole situation and cerises own situation with her dad) happened and they distanced themselves from each other without explaining why.
BUT ANYWAYS. The big bad wolf is his UNCLE. And he doesn’t!!!! Know it!!!!
Do you understand how funny it is to me, that in that book, next top villain, sparrow was so committed to passing the assignment with the highest score because he wanted treasure from Big Bad Wolf’s vault?
like idk why but it makes me laugh, like big bad wolf is probably complaining to Red Riding Hood like, “damn, it’s nice he’s dedicated and all but he’s kinda a snake. I’m almost impressed. Your nephew sure is trouble.” “Our nephew.” “Hey now, I’m not THAT impressed. I said almost.”
All jokes aside. I have so many thoughts on sparrow, and this fic series I read way back that really made me go “oh yes. This is canon in my mind” and then inspired a fic of its own (still a wip cause writing is hard 😭) and I was so blessed that that author of the fic series gave me the permission to use their incredible hc for sparrows mother.
The hc in question was by LacePendragon. It’s a oneshot and ima link it for those interested bc it changed my life guys.

Blood-stained CherryBlossoms
- Oc Fic (Cerise) -
TW: Death, Arson
~Prologue~
The ground at her feet shook violently as an explosion rocked the earth. Ducking, the stickman covered her head until the trembling stopped and looked up to see neon-green flakes drifting from above. She looked up and saw what seemed to be... a red shooting star? With a flash, it dropped down in front of her. It turned out to be a black wristband, thickly outlined with a bright red. She picked it up and stretched it over her head. Weirdly elastic... but what harm could it do?
~End Prologue~
Vivid Cerise knew Shamrock disliked her.
It wasn't much of a secret anyway (although... Sepia seemed oblivious to that).
She didn't know why though.
Actually, Cerise... probably did.
Their first encounter didn't go very well after all... but it wasn't her fault she was part of the local bandit group!
Not really at least...
Cerise lived with Nile Blue, her roommate and girlfriend, and they were happy as they were, thank you very much. The only thing that she would've changed were the super-powered attacks getting more and more frequent. Just recently a shower of green sparks flew down from a nearby mountain... that used to be there. When it was investigated, all that was found was a wreck. Once a beautiful lake scene, was now an off-limits research area. So it was safe to say that no one really liked superpowers anymore after that.
It was a brilliant, sunny day and the sky was bluer then the sea. Cerise and Nile were getting ready for a date at the park. Cerise was putting on her shoes when a soft, silken cloth was draped around her shoulders. "Hey hon~" cooed Nile, "I decided to get your scarf for you!" Cerise smiled, "Thanks, I think we're both ready to go then?" "Ready when you are!" replied the blue stick, as she held the door open for Cerise. "Then let's go!"
Since it was a clear day, it was pretty surprising that there weren't many families around. One or two scattered around the park, yes, having nice picnics under the shade of a tree, however, still not too much activity. "More space for us!" laughed Cerise as she looked around the empty park. "It is a shame that no one's enjoying the sun though" Nile observed. The pink stick figure only rolled her eyes, saying "Come on, lighten up! It's everyone else's fault if they miss out on a nice day." which caused Nile to smile.
This date was meant to be perfect. Just a lovely stroll through the park. So when the couple noticed a blazing fire, it was safe to say that they were more than a little alarmed. “Cerise! We should probably head back!” Nile called out, further alarmed when Cerise started walking towards it. There was someone just there, not doing a single thing as they stood in front of the house burning down. It was obvious they were the cause.
“CERISE-” She broke into a run as Nile tried to keep up, tackling the culprit to the ground. It quickly escalated into a tussle and Cerise was thrown off the other stick. Nile, having finally caught up, helped her to her feet, loudly whispering with concern. “Are you crazy?! You do not want to fight this person!” The stick figure in question was a deep maroon, with black wristbands, their eyes void black. “Nile, you’re very sweet but this stick here is burning down a house.” With that, she lunged at the dark red stick figure once more.
She wasn’t expecting the crackling ball of energy that came flying towards her. Ducking down at the last minute, Cerise narrowly dodged it, making it zoom over her head and reduce a tree to ash. “What the hell-” she barely had time to speak before another one went her way. Nile grabbed her and dragged them out of the way. “We’re getting out of here!” She yelled, weaving through a few more. But of course, one just had to hit it’s mark.
“NILE!” A ball of crackling energy caught Nile and flung her into the smouldering building, Cerise barely dodging it herself. A gasp grabbed her attention, and she saw that- that monster with their hand clamped over their mouth. Their eyes had soften into a lighter tint of reddish-gray as they tried to say something, before giving up and flying away from the scene. Cerise didn't have the energy to chase her, even if she could.
So. Cerise was in big trouble. Nile always brings brought the apartment keys, and now, without them, she couldn't get back in. Worse, she left her phone in there, so she couldn't call a locksmith either. The front desk wouldn't give her the keys without any "proof that she owned it", so Cerise was sort of stuck. She desperately needed a break from this.
A break. That's it. Just her and her thoughts in the woods. Yeah this was fine. Cerise's mind drifted a bit and before long, a couple hours had gone by. "Oh... better get back I suppose..." she muttered to no one in particular. She turned around and came face to face with a masked bandit. A whole crew of them actually.
"Well, well, well, what do we have here?" the thief in front of her took a step back. Dang, he was enormous. "A poor, lost lady, huh?" He jeered. The others cackled at her as well, and Cerise just couldn't deal with this right now. She took a step back, closed her eyes and sighed. Just sighed. "Can I have a single moment of peace today?! I feel like being locked out of my own house because my girlfriend got murdered by an arsonist should be enough, universe!" The rogues looked at each other in confusion.
Apparently, she'd piqued the curiosity of the bandits enough so they won't kill her. Somehow, tragic story or whatever. Well, in their words she "couldn't go lose" so instead they made her join their group. "What in the name of cursors-" the camp was huge, but hidden under the canopy of the trees, camouflaged tents scattered around area. She herself was assigned her own tent and time to "take a break". Huh. Out of anyone who'd give Cerise a break, she definitely did not expect them to be bandits. Maybe this group was more than just a bunch of rag-tag criminals.
Well, these people were chill. They gave Cerise time to grieve, and taught her some basic stuff about the things they do. She still wasn't a fan of stealing and was reluctant to do so. After all that, it was time for her first "mission", the scouts had spied a lone, brown stickfigure walking to town with no identified weapons.
She was gonna be an easy target. Right?

PS Week Day 1 - Scuba Diving (Free Day)
What’s up, dudes, dudettes, and others.  I’ve been busy with college but here’s Day One of Pokeshipping Wekk while I work on the others for ya.
Seaside Fumbles
MISTY WATERFLOWER blinked and did a doubletake. She wasn’t sure if she had heard correctly.  “Could you, um, say that again, Ash?”
The black-haired Trainer raised an eyebrow and gave a silent snort.  “I said, ‘would you like to accompany me on an expedition to see a Dhelmise in a wrecked ghost ship outside of Cianwood City?’ and then you went silent on me.”
“Ah, okay. Just wanted to make sure I was hearing correctly,” replied Misty.  “But why me?”
“For a start, Goh decided he wanted to go looking for Tauri instead of helping me with this, and-” he gave her a tiny smirk, “I figured that we’d need the greatest Water-type Trainer to assist us on such a dangerous adventure.”
The Ceruluean Gym Leader felt her heart skip a beat, but she suppressed her emotions and smirked right back.  “Aww, isn’t that sweet?  Finally admitting to what I really am, huh?”
But Misty was wrong.  “Well, that was my plan,” explained Ash.  “But Wallace was occupied with the Hoenn League, so I just decided to ask the next best Trainer I know.”
“Ash Ketchum, you dirty little liar-”
“Kidding, kidding. I’m kiddin’, Mist!” laughed Ash as he waved his hand at her through the screen.  Misty fumed with rage.
           “Go jump off a cliff…”
“So, you want to come or nah?”
“Yeah, yeah, I’d like to go.  When is it?”
“About a week from now.  I’ll send you the finer details by email.  Anyway, I have to get going.  I’ll see you at Goldenrod harbor if we can’t call again, oh, and I was still going to call you regardless, I wasn’t going to ask Wallace, okay bye.” And before Misty could answer his sudden incoherent speech, Ash had already hung up.
“Huh,” was all that came out of the girl’s mouth for a minute.  Ash’s call had really come out of nowhere.  She’d heard recently that he’d become a research assistant at the request of Professor Cerise, a prodigy of Professor Oak’s. Getting called out to help with some research had been very surprising.
“Still,” she said quietly as she yawned and headed off to get herself some dinner, “even if it’s just to go see some Pokémon, it’s nice that we can spend some time together.”
OoOoO
Time passed quickly.  Misty’s excitement grew and grew.  The thought of seeing a Pokémon rare to the continent was an enticing prospect.  She wondered how well the Alolan Pokémon was adapting to its new climate or if there were any more nonnative Pokémon species aboard the ship.  That was all well and good, but seeing Ash was a reward enough – not that she’d tell him. They met at the port as arranged and were soon out at sea.
“Ah, this must be the place,” said Ash and Misty together as the boat slowed down and they dropped anchor.
“Right,” said research assistant Chrysa.  “We’ll go down with the submersible and use that to check inside the ship.  If you two can monitor things from the outside, that’d be a huge help, and in case things go up sticks with Dhelmise.”
“No trouble,” Ash declared.  “I choose you, Dracovish!”
           “Go my blue sweetheart, Gyarados!”
Ash and Misty took the lead and swam alongside the submersible to the ship. It was large and very much in a sorry state, taken back by nature.  Beautiful yet ominous and rife with tension.
“Careful,” Chrysa advised over the two-way radios they had attached to their goggles. “We can’t risk causing any instability with the ship, let alone angering Dhelmise.  Let the sub in and stand by.  Over.”
“Roger that,” said Misty.  “Standing by. Over.”
“Looks like it’s just you and me then, Mist,” said Ash as he pushed the sub toward the hole in the ship before swimming back her.
           “Dracovish, Draco?”
“Sorry, buddy.  We’re just here to make sure things go right.  You might not see any battling today.
Both Gyarados and Dracovish seemed discouraged by that.  Misty decided to offer up a different perspective.  “Hey, it’s better that things go right instead of wrong, yeah?”  The two Pokémon didn’t argue but were still feeling down.
“I know, why don’t we say hello to the native Pokémon?”  That cheered them.  Misty sighed inwardly; it was always nice how Ash could quickly come up with ways to appeal to Pokémon.
They went off, greeting schools of Goldeen and the traveling Tentacools.
Suddenly there was a commotion from the ship.  First a shockwave that felt like an earthquake, followed by a burst from the hole where Ash had let the submersible inside.
“Ash?  Misty?” said Chrysa frantically.  “There’s trouble.  Dhelmise has started to attack the sub!  Please go and see what’s wrong.  Me and the others are coming to retrieve the sub.”
Ash quickly turned and began swimming to the ghost ship.  As he approached, however, part of the hull disappeared and Dhelmise’s anchor shot out in front of him.  “Guh!  So that’s how it is…” said Ash grimly.  “Dracovish, use Ice Fang!”
           “Draco!”
“You go too, Gyarados.  Crunch!” Both Pokémon went in but then dozens upon dozens of other Water-types like Tentacools and Seels shot out from both in and out of the ship.  “I guess this must be their home!  They must not want us disturbing them!”
“It’s not like we mean them any harm!”  Ash swam quickly out of the way as he said that.  “Dracovish, come back!”  His Pokémon came over but just then Dhelmise roared from within and more Pokémon emerged from the rocks.  “You’ve gotta be kiddin’ me…”
“Gyarados, Hurricane!” yelled Misty as the Pokémon went for her.
Dracovish meanwhile was taking care of the Pokémon attacking Ash and it.  Ash monitored the situation; it was luckily going in their favor.  Soon he saw the sight of Goh’s Dewgong, whom he had left at the Cerise Lab for any missions he was needed on, and sighed with relief as that meant help was coming.
Then came some attacks, Ash got hit and as he disturbed some remains of the ship that had drifted away, he got a huge surprise!  “MAR!”
“Wow!” yelled Ash as a Mareanie popped out at him from the rubble.
“Mareanie!”  It lunged at Ash, hugging his face hard with its spikey tentacles and sent him into a panic. As the Mareanie let go, it had pulled the oxygen mask and goggles off.  Ash held his breathe but it went to waste when a drifting Tentacool fired a Poison Sting that shredded a small tear into his gear, piercing his skin, causing him to let all his air out.
Misty heard a commotion, looked over, and panicked on seeing Ash’s situation. She had Gyarados clear a path and swam quickly over to Ash just as he was fumbling the mask back on.
“Oh Mew, oh Mew,” muttered Misty as she helped him, placing the mask’s band back around his head before reattaching his goggles.
Ash groaned oxygen flowed into his lungs.  “Ugh… Thanks, Mist.”  Just then, Chrysa and the other hired hands arrived on the scene, summoning their own Pokémon to help with the situation.
“You have to get back to the ship for medical aid…”
“I know.  Dracovish, look after things here, okay?”  He gave a “Draco” in agreement.  Then Ash cringed as the poison sent painful signals down his nerves. Misty gave him a gentle push up before informing Chrysa over the radio that Ash was pulling out.  With some effort he began to swim back up.  Then Misty followed him.  “What are…you… Misty, I can make it on my own.”
“I know,” she replied, watching him swim unevenly yet consistently toward the surface, “but I’m helping anyway.”
“You…don’t…have to…”
A shockwave was felt, before they heard the cry of Dhelmise as it was attacked by one of the researcher’s Pokémon.  “Come on, before things get ugly,” said Misty, before grabbing Ash around his waist and pulling him up quicker.
“I…told ya…I’m fine…”
“Poison travels up the bloodstream quicker when you move, it’s better this way.”
Ash didn’t answer, he found breathing too hard and just quietly accepted Misty’s help.  They reached the surface.  Misty pulled Ash into the boat with help from Pikachu before beginning to administer aid. She held Ash’s hand tight when he cringed from the disinfectant touching the wound.
By the time she finished, Ash was pale and breathing hard, but only from the pain.  “Jeez,” said Misty, “leave dealing with Poison-types to your Pokémon.”
“It surprised me, that’s all…”
“Just be careful next time.”
“I’ll keep that in mind…when the next Beedrill hive chases me.”
“Yeah, yeah.”  Misty then sat down next to Ash and just stared at him.
“I’ll be fine,” he said upon noticing her.  “You should really get back to Chrysa and the others.”
“No.  I’m staying here with you.”
“I told you, I’m fine…”
“No!”
“But didn’t you come to see Dhelmise?”
“Compared to making sure you’re okay?  You’ve just been poisoned, Ash!”
“It’s your chance though to get a good look at a rare Pokémon in the Johto region!” wheezed Ash.  “Remember all the buzz around Harrison?  Blaziken was hardly a common sight and…”
“I’m not going.”
“Are you sure?  I mean, it’s why you came along, right?”
Misty paused before muttering in a quiet voice, “I joined because of you.”
Ash faltered when he heard that.  He blinked a few times before turning his head toward her.  “Me?”
“Yeah.  I mean…I was just…y’know… Ugh…when I heard you came home from Alola and joined Professor Cerise’s lab, I thought I’d at least get a few visits from you now that you’re close by.  I was just missing you, that’s all.”
“Ah, I…I see…”
“Pikachupi…”
“Sorry.  I really must’ve messed things up then by letting this happen to me.”
“You’re one to talk.  I seem to remember you going headfirst into a lot of things and ending up injured.”
“Yeah…” said Ash with a tired smirk.  “Everyone tells me I should cut that out.”
“You should.  Think about what others want of you.  You and I barely get much time to talk and here you go putting yourself in danger.” Ash didn’t reply.  Misty sighed to herself and allowed herself to be honest. “I miss you a lot sometimes, y’know…”
“I miss you too.  You’re not alone in that feeling.  How about…when we get back to Kanto, would you like to go to a ramen place with me?”
           “You mean it?”
“Yeah!” he said with as much energy as he could through the poison.  “To make up for missing out on Dhelmise.”
“His minds on Pokémon as per usual,” Misty said to the sky.
“Mm. But…I do think of you, too,” said Ash. “Really, you’re right, we should be hanging out more.  That’s...kinda why I asked for your help, I just wanted to see you, too.” Misty didn’t reply and just stared quietly at Ash.  “So…we good to get ramen and hang out?”
“Yes,” she said a bit too quickly, “we are.  Even though we’re technically hanging out already.”
“Yeah, yeah, I s’pose we are.  I…I just meant, more like a…a…”
She considered for a moment, unsure if she ought to say it, but decided to. “Date…?”
“Yeah, that’s…more or less what I mean.”
“Awesome.  Then…we have a date, I suppose.”  She felt her cheeks burning red but didn’t stop herself from blushing.
“I…would’ve asked you to go for ramen afterwards anyway,” confessed Ash. “I kinda realized I was thinking of that this morning.  Just as an excuse to be with you more beyond just helping with this.”
“Ash Ketchum…you sure have a weird way of saying you want a date.”
The Trainer from Pallet Town just snorted and went red.  “You got a problem with that?”
“Well…given that I’ve got a date to look forward to after this…no, not really,” replied Misty softly.
“Awesome.”  Ash game a small smile before sighing.  “Still, I could’ve done without the poison.”
“Yeah, that’s true,” laughed Misty.  She gently poked his shoulder.  “Now then, just you hold it together.  We’ve got a date coming soon and you better be feeling okay when it’s time – don’t fumble on me like you did back there.”

Chloe
Since you became a new research fellow of the Cerise Laboratory when Ash and Goh left, do you still miss Glaceon's Trainer? I know that she's the most eeveelution trainer you like and she suffers from being bullied, calling her Ice Queen and her Glaceon used Blizzard on them, back then. And you helped her when she temporary moved to the Vermilion City School
Chloe: Yes, of course. I miss all of my dear friends! But they all move away eventually, huh? 🥲
Ash: Hey, we're always around to answer questions together 🤗
Chloe: Yeah, yeah... anyway, if Regina was still here, I wonder if she'd want to become a research fellow, too? She's the only person I know who isn't on some journey 🤔
But alas, she has to go to her school. I understand. Education is important, even if some acquaintances of mine don't think so >_>

DYNAURA EPISODE 4: THE ENFORCERS STRIKE BACK!
Tumblr media
The crowd had been waiting with great anticipation. The entry fee was hardly a small sum: This was after all, a red-carpet event for Delta Bay—nay, the Earth’s ‘Most Prepared Heroes’ ever. These were the heights one could accomplish when they were ready and willing to defeat any foe, take on any challenge, and always showed off their good sides for paparazzi photographers. Of which, countless cameras flashed in that moment. Whether truth or lies, tabloids or the esteemed outlets, any news press was good press if they spun it just right.
Standing at the front of the line in a semi-security role was a veteran Enforcer, clad in an imposing helmet, and Kevlar body armor themed after a bear: KodiaKop. Career super-soldier, these days counted among the most feared agents among law enforcement. To his right, his apprentice Grizzly wore a similar suit, hands raring to grapple or squeeze the trigger of a firearm. To KodiaKop’s left was a tall figure in designer leathers with professional stitching meant to make it look reckless, despite receiving some of the fashion industry’s finest hand-tailoring work. Several sheathed blades adorned this uniform, and an improvised sporting mask was strapped to his head alongside a few strips of bandaging cloth that covered very little of his skin. They called this one…
“Socket!” bellowed KodiaKop, maintaining an overly rigid posture while the slasher known as Socket lurched like stop-motion to address the senior member of their group. “Where’s the prissy miss gotten off to this time?!”
“Nyeheheh!” snickered Socket. “Chill out: She’s around here somewhere. Basking like the rest of us! YOOOOOLOOO!”
“She’s freakin’ lost!” said Grizzly, elbowing Socket with great familiarity. “You couldn’t find a needle in a haystack, you dead dipstick!”
“I could! And then I’ll poke out your miserable eyes!”
“We’re wearing helmets!” said Grizzly. Just as Socket was about to retort with another threat, KodiaKop scowled at the both of them, before waving to the cameras again. This was going to be the basis for yet another lengthy memo to the PR department to sort out the gossip fodder. As for their missing member, she was not far off: Her tawny bob haircut blowing in the breeze along with her similarly shortened cape, clad in a bodysuit that was colored silver. And it was accented by a few pieces of lightweight armor including shoulder pads, boots, and gauntlets in a cerise hue. Adorning the front of her suit was a titanium crest fashioned after a ghost reaching outwardly with two hands, as if in pursuit.
         “Ectoette! Over here!”
“Tell us what you’ve been up to now, Ectoette?”
The young woman just offered a hearty laugh.
“The usual. Flying around town on patrol, cracking skulls, and setting a solid example for others. You know how it is!”
As she waved to the crowd, she also beckoned for a few others to come along—a batch of recruits picked from the Enforcers’ reserves. Many prospective members kept on reserve were often waiting for their chance to serve with the core team.
But just as they were about to enter the movie theater to partake in a special viewing of a film adapted from the memoirs of a longtime teammate, they received a call on their personal communicator devices. The multi-encrypted private line was being hailed by one Tommy Quark.
“Shootsuit. This better be good.” growled KodiaKop.
“Real good, Kody babey.” said Shootsuit, ever the smooth-talker. “Looks like we’ve got a temper tantrum on aisle 33rd and Colan street.”
“Put together a squad and have them sort it out.”
“Tsss! Ooh, see: I did! I totally did. And the thing is… Take a guess, why don’t you?”
KodiaKop wanted to groan. But Shootsuit was higher on the ranks, cutting most of the paychecks for the Enforcers. He had to endure this.
“They’re all down for the count.”
“B-B-Bingo! Hey: Better that you break the news than me, huh? Anyways! I want Socket, Ectoette, and Grizzly en route this instant. Send a few newbies with ‘em, tough ones.”
“Yeah, we’ve got some flyers with us. But why not just send them and Ectoette?”
Shootsuit just went ‘tut-tut!’ To which KodiaKop seemed to understand at last. They needed a certain personal touch.
“Copy that. I’ll have them sent in right away. If it’s to deal with—”
X
         “REX!”
A familiar head of jet-black hair, and the hood of his hoodie blew with the breeze the selected Enforcers arrived with. Turning to face them was a young man, resembling some South Asian descent—most similar to Nepali. But while he grew up on Earth, his heritage was actually among the stars, by way of a planet called Nypardia. His back was turned on the newcomers, his hands still balled into raw-knuckled fists, and his white sneakers with red trim scuffed. Dusting off the front and back of his pants, Rex turned to address the call of Socket.
“Well, well, well! If it isn’t the big cheese himself!” said Socket, the slasher superhero pointing a dagger in the cosmic contender’s direction. “How ya been, Wrecked? Oh, sorry. Just making observations about your past… maybe also your immediate future!”
No words from Rex. Just a glance backwards towards the group. Ectoette glanced down to see a number of other reserve Enforcers on the ground, unconscious and writhing in pain. Just hoping no one had perished.
“He’s high on his own ego!” bellowed Grizzly, shoving shells into an automatic shotgun. “Look at him. Smug after taking out our troops. He probably thinks he’s too good to talk to us. Ding-dong ditcher!”
There was a scowl from Rex, and scoffing from Socket and Grizzly. At least three reservists that had tagged along with Ectoette, Socket, and Grizzly. As KodiaKop had mentioned, they could fly fast. And they were fairly strong. But Ectoette held them back from attacking right away.
“It’s been a while, Rex. You know I don’t want this… Stand down, please.”
But that was the last thing Rex wanted to do. He turned to take a step forward, and that was when Grizzly charged forward, pulling his shotgun trigger repeatedly. The buckshot shook up Rex a bit as he raised his arms to instinctively shield his head. But having begun to brace himself a little more, he was not moved very far from where he stood. Then, Socket shouted:
         “Okay, wiseass! Enforcers, ENGULF!”
The three reservist flyers were up first, hoping to prove their worth here today. One rocketed forward and lashed out with a right cross, aiming right for Rex’s cheek and to travel across his face with superhuman strength behind it.
         *THWATCH!*
Of course, what the first flyer didn’t expect was for Rex to catch their punch swiftly, then raising his leg into an axe kick—the sole of his shoe imprinting itself onto the first flyer’s face, and then Rex’s heel dropping harshly into their upper back to slam them into the ground. Gravel burst from the street below in chunks as the second flyer circled around Rex with even greater speed, trying to create a vortex and simultaneously firing off lasers from his eyes to keep Rex from countering. The strong wind vortex took Rex off his feet-- up into the air above the smaller buildings. But not any higher before Rex cupped his hands together, and launched a light blue fireball into the second flyer’s flight path, knocking them off course.
Just as Rex attempted to swoop in to divebomb the second flyer, the third had made themselves known: By tossing an entire construction vehicle at him. A 40-ton front loader, by the looks of it. Tossed forcefully enough that it’d travel quickly, collide with Rex. In response, Rex found himself catching the construction vehicle as best he could, still pushed back though. And just when he thought he was about to land on his feet (if running backwards from the momentum), suddenly he was subject to a whole new attack!
“This is gonna hurt me more than it’s gonna hurt you, Rex!”
It was Ectoette. She’d shifted the density of her body so she could phase through the solid front loader. Once her upper body was sticking out of the construction vehicle, she selectively shifted—making her fist not only solid again, but incredibly dense. The force of her strike sent Rex backwards for a few city blocks. She knew exactly who she was up against, and wasn’t going to scrimp on her attack output.
         “Errrgh…”
Rex got up slowly after colliding with a street lamp, and sliding down to the sidewalk below. He was still dizzy after that last swing, but the Enforcers didn’t let up.
         “PEEKABOO!”
Socket cackled as he landed on the street lamp, hanging onto it upside down so he could get into Rex’s face. The familiar visage was both unsettling and irritating. Purple smoke shrouded the skies immediately overhead, arcane thunderbolts reached out like a nightmarish fusion between biting vipers, restricting chains, and the electric chair.
Rex grabbed the slasher superhero by the neck with one strained hand, while his other took Socket’s shoulder. And he pulled! Pulled until the limbs detached, starting with the arms that directed the cursed current. Even as the deadly magic set his muscles both aflame and into a bone-deep chill at the same time.
“How brutal of you!” sneered Socket, his body littering the sidewalk in still unliving pieces. “For shame, Rex! I thought we taught you better than that.”
One of Rex’s eyes twitched, before both started to glow. Unfortunately, just as he prepared to fire his own laser eyes at his disembodied former teammate, someone had tackled him from behind: A suit fashioned of multiple alloys. Armed to the teeth with high caliber guns, portable high yield explosives, directed energy weapons, a myriad of other warmongering tools, and approximately one motormouth. All firing off in a symphony designed to wear down the nigh-invulnerable. Like Rex!
“Ouch! That’s gotta hurt. You’re gonna feel that one in the morning, slugger!”
There was a snarl of pain on Rex’s part. And then, wincing resignation at the fact Shootsuit had arrived. Either having sent one of his drones, or having donned his power armor once again. It was between Shootsuit and Socket as to who could utter the worst excuses for verbal zingers.
“C’mon, Rexinator. Rexamilian! Reximus.” said Shootsuit, less stammering and more just overconfidently spitballing his innumerable jests. “Our door’s always open. And you’re obviously in dire need of an intervention. C’mon! We’ll even get gyros. You love gyros. Everybody loves---”
Rex twisted and turned.  Trying to get himself into a position where he could counter. Eventually he was able to very suddenly shove a hand to push Shootsuit’s helmeted face back, and to swing a knee into one of the spots on the power armor where beneath—a back-up power cell was located. A small explosion rocked the suit and elicited smoke.
“Will you SHUT UP about the gyros?!” barked Rex. “They were alright! Not great. I ate them because I was hungry and there was nothing else that day!”
“Look! That’s progress. Technically. Alright, no gyros. How about—"
But before Shootsuit could offer another attempt at suave line delivery, Rex had brought an elbow down on one of Shootsuit’s built-in jets, throwing their flight path dangerously off-course, causing them both to crash into a building with a bank vault located next to an office space. Rex himself emerging slowly.
He checked his phone for any new messages: Nothing yet, which gave him a pang of anxiety. He’d have to hold off the Enforcers for a little while longer.
For the sake of a friend of his, that is: She had a plan.
X
With Shootsuit out of his penthouse, this building—prominently utilized by the Enforcers for business in Multiplex, could be infiltrated. A ventilation shaft grate was unscrewed and set aside. Onyx hued hair was accompanied by a domino mask with outward pointed edges, her lanky build garbed in black, carrying tools of both detective and spy—or rather, ninja. This was none other than the Curious Kunoichi. A madame of mystery. Most days she tackled street level trouble and solved similar such crimes in a mostly solitary fashion. But other days she still found herself pitting the mind and the technique etched into her muscle memory against larger threats, where even the mightiest metaforms might miss a key detail, the kind that a keen eye and a wealth of knowledge could make use of.
With only the slightest effort, Curio briefly jammed multiple security cameras at a time. Dancing through the weaves of laser tripwires with gymnastic expertise that might have made her an Olympic contender. Not a single beat could be missed: She had formulated every step with as close of calculations as she could put together based on blueprints of the building, an in-depth understanding of the security systems employed (as well as their esteemed supplier, from a business standpoint).
In the shadow of a storage center in the building, Curio placed a small flashlight between her teeth while she climbed shelves, server machines, and cabinets. Only turning on the light to scan through drawers. Ever-scanning for security, which had been oddly absent since her arrival. That had her keeping her guard up.
Suddenly, she bit down on the button to turn off the compact flashlight’s beam. Someone was clapping for her.
“Phenomenal work. Just stop right where you are, and I’ll find you soon enough.”
Curio cursed internally: ‘Earth’s Most Prepared Heroes’ wasn’t just a marketing slogan. It made far too much sense that the Enforcers had someone standing by to keep an eye out! Someone the international intelligence community counted among their bogeymen: The Tabkeeper! Currently wearing a pair of night vision goggles, as he called out to an unseen cohort.
“Section J-Thru-L, confirmed! Deep fry this weirdo. I repeat, DEEP FRY this weirdo!”
Curio jumped immediately. Something—or someone swept through the aisle between the row of cabinets. And they were aflame, head-to-toe! She evacuated quickly, tossing a smoke bomb immediately into Tabkeeper’s face. As for her other pursuer, the ballistic Pyrogoria would simply melt down any projectiles that came his way!
“YOU CAN RUN,” started Pyrogoria’s altered vocals. “CAN’T HIDE THOUGH! ASHES TO ASHES, DUST TO DUST. AND THAT’S GONNA INCLUDE YOU, CRISPY COOKED, CURIOUS KUNOICHI!”
Just then, from the sides there came a spray of something like a fire extinguisher’s foam from an opening on the wrist of her gauntlet. First from Pyrogoria’s left, then to his right. From the front as well. And then, figuring that the Curious Kunoichi would try to attack from behind to finish up, he began to push himself, a great tension taking his body as a jet of flames emitted outwardly. Torching the contents of any miserable shelves or drawers left open. And it would have melted down any person without caution, as it began to melt the electronic servers in the room.
That is, had Curio not remained in front of Pyrogoria to side-kick him in the ribs, sending him rolling backwards. She hurried back to the cabinet she was looking for, and started grabbing at the folder she was after. Hoping it hadn’t been damaged. As for any digital copies, she pulled out her phone and pressed a button to remotely activate a function on one of her computers far from this building: to break right through the system firewall and send their IT department scrambling to recover as many of the files as they could: She’d uploaded a virus to start deleting everything, blocking the creation of any back-ups. Not that it would matter: Curio had the physical copy.
         “Not so fast.”
It was Tabkeeper! He was trying to catch Curio with a silenced pistol. One shot ricocheted off her shoulderpad by a stroke of luck, the rest whizzing by like flies on nitro. As a parting gift, the Curious Kunoichi hid at the end of one bookshelf. Tabkeeper had reloaded his weapon, and was walking within this new aisle. And it was in that moment that Curio put everything she had into pushing the shelf one side: She wanted it to fall right onto him. Maybe cause a domino effect and knock down a few other shelves. Total bedlam to cover her escape.
X
         “So… what’s in the folder?”
Up on one of the rooftops, beside a little greenhouse, Curious Kunoichi had met back up with a harrowed Rex. She was perched on the edge of the rooftop, poring over her findings while Rex gently landed behind her. If stumbling slightly on his steps since he was still freshly escaped from his own battles.
         “Everything I said it’d be.”
Curio closed the folder, offering it over for Rex to skim. He had agreed to help his friend in getting their hands on restricted documents regarding certain charitable foundations whose finances came up questionable—but were able to use their generous reputation to deflect any official investigations into how much their executive board members were making. That and their ties to groups like the Enforcers. Of course, the Curious Kunoichi, with characteristic speed and resolve had raced to expose this corruption. And with Rex playing the part of distraction, she had accomplished it.
“I’ll see you around.” said Rex, waving goodbye for now. “But maybe just hangin’ out at the usual spots instead of another mission… I’m six different kinds of beat! Rather go to the arcade or something with folks.”
“Hah. Sure, I’ll ask around and see who’s free to join us.”
So why did Curio feel a pang of wretchedness? They were friends now, had been for a while. They were fighting the good fight, to set things right, as much as they could each time they acted. There were friends and allies waiting in the wings to help. And yet, not a hundred or more exploits could completely make the vicious spectre of the past go away.
As the Curious Kunoichi stood up, and ziplined across the street below to the next rooftop, she attempted to focus on any remaining tasks for the day. She still had to check in on a few areas, residential, business, and so forth—mostly just poking around for surveillance equipment being set up by a new private security firm. Legally it was all in the clear. But the Curious Kunoichi couldn’t operate with listening posts hidden behind chimneys or hidden cameras affixed here and there.
“Oh, thanks! That thing was creeping us out!”
Curio turned sharply. She had a throwing dart at the ready, but calmed down when she saw it was an apartment tenant. Besides her pragmatic goal, Curio had now recognized the devices weren’t just infringing on her covert activity—they were just straight-up violations of privacy. Her efforts here led to a few less wiretaps on phones and eyes watching the streets, as well as some open windows.
“If they come back,” started Curio. “Leave me a note or something. I’ll deal with it.”
She would listen now. Not like before.
“Bless you for being out here tonight!”
There was a nod from the mystery woman before she departed. Before regret seeped its way in again. It was not so long ago she was more of a lone wolf. Felt she couldn’t count on anyone else to help her, the sights and sounds still so vivid to her keen investigative mind. Long nights, meals substituted with protein shakes. Just the need to optimize everything she did. The Enforcers had her labeled as a threat for that before, and it still remained as such.
But then she remembered working with someone who took the alias ‘Prizefighter,’ or some underdog hero title like that. Back then he had a grin that used to give her a headache. Always trying to find alternatives, even the most absurd ones before calling it quits. Stronger and faster than he had any right to be, able to rain down fire from the skies and wrestle with kaiju.
Over time, she found out the hard way that some of the soon-to-be Enforcers, like Socket and Grizzly, had felt the same way when they started a budding adolescent supergroup of their own. Prizefighter was brought into the ranks. Seemingly given a niche to fit into, friends to spend his free time with. What teenager could resist that? And then it all came crashing down when Prizefighter turned whistleblower, trying to warn the world that their most celebrated protectors were nothing but elitist snobs—and that not all their enemies were the unforgivable scum that their public relations made them out to be.
That day, Curious Kunoichi said goodbye to Prizefighter. And hello to Rex.
Not a day went by since then that the Curious Kunoichi regretted not intervening, not only on Rex’s behalf as his secret identity was forcibly revealed to the world and slandered as the deception of an alien invader. But for all the lost souls who had trusted their peers trying to join the ranks, and the veteran Enforcers who ran the whole crooked circus. Her narrow-minded cynicism had rendered her inert when it came to battling the very corruption she swore to vanquish.
X
Rex sat on a mountain cliffside for a moment. He’d started on a walk through the land outside of Multiplex City to cool off. A couple of times he perked up—and then jolted up to his feet. Uncertain if he left various daily tasks unsettled at home. Just as quickly, he remembered that not to be the case and had to sit back down. Still feeling the need to rush and hurry despite no pressing concerns.
That’s how it was at one point before, wasn’t it? Be swift, on time and never late. But never too early either. Defeat your enemies without hesitation, but always as instructed. Hang back when ordered. The others stood front and center for the cameras, microphones, the whole of the limelight. And he could too, when the time was right. That was the case every once in a while, table scraps posited as evidence to a truth.
He didn’t start flying right away. Instead, Rex opted to take a short hop first. A few more, until he was back on even ground where he could run fast across. Beside deer and horses let out to graze a bit from being stuck inside a trailer hooked up to a truck. At least until Rex accelerated ahead of them. Eventually he found a dump truck with the rear bed uplifted—having recently done away with its cargo. Aiming right for it, Rex used the raised bed of the truck as a makeshift ramp. Zooming upwards to the surprise of one of the truck drivers as he disappeared above the clouds.
His ascent slowed for a moment as he put one hand on his forehead over his eyes, getting used to the greater abundance of sunlight. Though he generated his own cosmic energy, Rex could supplement himself with solar and other rays he came across, barring any obstacles or interference in-between. After long days working, fighting, anything: the extra boost from external sources was welcome alongside hearty meals and whatever restful sleep he could achieve.
But there was once a time when he had to keep moving. On a back-to-back schedule. Constantly timing himself to see how long it took one time versus another. Always trying to pare it down to the lowest possible count of minutes, seconds. He had to attack with certainty, not mercy. But also, when the others finally arrived, he had to take a dive. Smile and maintain optimism, but then they’d tell him bluntly that he was too cheerful. Made Rex seem too holier-than-thou. The standards always seemed to shift where he was concerned. No matter what he tried, the rules were never the same twice. If they were, it felt like a very last-minute change.
Rex shut his eyes for a moment as he hovered there. His eyes remained closed, but not as tightly as he watched his breathing. Fighting them earlier wasn’t enough stress relief. All he wanted to do was to go about warring with them until either he’d thrashed them all, or he was too broken down to get up again.
The memories didn’t play from start to finish. It was like there were intervals of static. The worst offenses. The attempt to talk down people he considered teammates-- his friends. Reaching out to mentors he thought he could confide in with his trust, especially the ones as optimistic as he had been once upon a time to set things right. Surely, they could talk some sense into their grim, more corrupt teammates?
But they stood by and told him he was overreacting.
Not that this was nearly enough. Socket and Grizzly, they lead the charge. Even the upbeat Ectoette just stood by and let it play out, reluctant as her attack had been: She had such overwhelming faith in rules and order. The restraint they demanded in Rex, they scarcely held themselves up to such a notion. That was what allowed them to take his battered body and show his face to the public despite those pathetic, choked pleas. He couldn’t even defend himself and they spoke of the planet Nypardia as though it had deployed Rex to be some sort of invasion scout.
A low growl could be heard from Rex. He felt his fists clenching, his teeth gritting. No tears were shed: just a bitter, vengeful glare at nothing and no one within range of where Rex was floating. The last time he’d offered an expression like that, the intended receiver was in his sights. They laughed, and he lashed out at them. It didn’t make anyone see the truth of the situation, he wasn’t given a parade and a mess of apologies he was owed. The unreasonable, unfair hostility didn’t stop. The damage had long since been done. Retaliating physically was a short-term relief when they had twisted the opinion of so many people. It had been so effective, even to this day they spoke at Rex as if it were all his fault, that they’d let him back in if he were the one to make amends.
And then, Rex rocketed up beyond the edge of the atmosphere past orbit. Offering a thundering roar as he expelled some of the gargantuan volume of his lungs. It was about fifteen minutes before he finally stopped, and began drifting back down against gravity’s hold. His various superpowered senses would survey the entirety of the world below-- its sights, sounds, geography and the composition of the elements that made it all up.
Going up there restored his perspective. A reminder of the majesty of this planet, and all of its people, even some animals that took care of him when he was small and lonely.

Grizzly was monitoring one of the gyms. Putting a batch of newbies through their paces, in a way he had never had to endure when he was brought onboard. They were currently facing off in a holographic environment full of dangers and simulated opponents.
         “Hey, shitlips! Your fridge running?”
Grizzly whipped his head around, immediately swinging one of his rifles at him like a billy club.
“Never become a comedian, Suck-at-it. Your career would end before it even began!”
There was Socket’s sickening snicker again. Grizzly wasn’t even being playfully rude: he legitimately got angry after a certain point. And Socket was not oblivious to this. In fact, he thrived off of ticking people off if they didn’t play along. Grizzly scooted his seat back up to the control panel, and started fiddling with settings. Just as the newbies were getting used to things, he wanted to shake things up on them last minute over in the gym.
“What do you want anyway, Suck-at-it? I’m busy here.”
“It’s quite clear to me. Don’t you see it, you dolt?”
Grizzly looked away from the training room for a moment.
“Yeah, screw you: This is about taking back that stolen file. My old man’s been raising hell for the guys he put on security detail and Shootsuit’ll probably be mad we fell for the space case’s trick. Might get in some hot water.”
“You fell for it. I could have taken him down. Seen right through the entire deception. Atomized him, and flayed him, and--”
The two just quit their arguing for the time being.
“Well. The Kunoichi’s gotta hand the files off sometime, right? Must have a contact at city hall she can count on. We just waltz right on in, you flash your badge and take the papers on uhhh… suspicions!”
         “It’s called probable cause, dumbass.”
“You know what I mean! Ugh. That sounded better in my head.”
“No, I don’t. You STILL SUCK at this. Now hurry up. I’ll pull intel and see who the ninja chick’s buddy is. Text Ectoette that she’s on standby.”
The two made for the parking garage and to a sports car Socket had recently purchased, despite Grizzly’s protests (he wanted an armored vehicle, one with a gun turret he could point and shoot).
The two arrived shortly afterwards at city hall, welcomed eagerly by most. Met with silence and passing glances by some passing eyes, hurrying back to work before they were dragged into this latest mess the Enforcers were going to try and bring to their doorstep. Fortunately, they were looking for a select city councilman who kept late hours—perfect for meetings with vigilantes like the Curious Kunoichi. Of course, by the time they made it up to the floor where the office was located, the councilman had just stepped out.
“Unbelievable!” said Socket. “Too late for lunch, too early for dinner. He shouldn’t be on a break yet!”
“C’mon, he can’t have gotten far.” said Grizzly “He had no idea we were coming.”
Socket nodded. With a wave of his hands, he selected at random several corpses to appear from wherever they had ended up, in graves or once ashes. Though most of their power came from being augmented by Socket’s malicious brand of magic, their restless state left them extremely furious. Socket could point them anywhere and name his enemy as the cause of their tortured awakening.
“Look, they’ve swarmed him! Let’s go.”
There was a pile of the restless undead on top of a living body. Only Socket and Grizzly would be more than a little shocked to find it wasn’t the councilman at all: It was Rex.
         “Oh.”
Socket stared for a moment. His legion of the undead were currently scratching and gnawing on Rex to no avail. Although they were damaging him, none would cut or pierce him in an instant kill. Grizzly also stared for a moment, before scrambling to arm himself with the heavy machine gun strapped to his back. They had caught their former alien teammate as he’d just calmed down from their last, and very recent clash with each other.
“Where’s the councilman?!” demanded Grizzly. “You were here waiting for us!”
“No. What.” said Rex. “I was literally just walking by when a few dead bodies started grabbing me and dragging me over to this commotion. Wait, what’s that about a councilman??”
“You… I’ll do more than summon a few bodies, Rex!” hissed Socket, pooling his magic into forming a portal. “I’ll call upon the entities of the highest, most incomprehensible planes! It would be futility to resist the MULTITUDES I could command! Compared to you—you’re just kind of strong!”
“Futile, huh?” said Rex, cracking his knuckles “Then you won’t mind if I try anyway.”
“—MULTITUDES, you hear me?! Incomprehensible, unstoppable!!!--”
“I heard you. And I see it just fine: I got hyper-vision, remember? Not that you bozos ever paid much attention!”
As they bickered, Grizzly spotted someone fumbling for his car keys with one hand, and in the other hand he held a folder, tucked under an arm. The councilman was trying to escape!
         “GET HIM!”
Grizzly started running forward to grab the councilman before his keys hit the car’s ignition. At which point Rex dashed after and tackled Grizzly in the side. Socket wasn’t far off, finishing his portal gateway: And as it widened to let something loose, the street lamps threatened to twist like silly straws. Slabs of the sidewalk burst from their place, and buildings contorted until they appeared to be looming over the street, their doors, windows, and other fixtures like twisted faces.
“Oh my gosh!” cried a bystander to a whole bunch of fellow Enforcers fans. “He’s summoning Golthoom the Ender of Legions, Burner of Regions! Just like in his movie the Nether Regions of Nonsense!”
“DOES NO PART OF THAT DESCRIPTION *CONCERN* YOU?!” hollered Rex. He was currently trading punches with Grizzly, while a large, gruesome hand reached out from the portal.
“Go double park a UFO, space case! He only uses it on punks that deserve it. Like you!”
Just before Rex could offer a frustrated retort, the entity that Socket had called upon was halfway out of the portal, grabbing onto Rex with glowing claws, and dragging him into some infernal realm. The crowd cheered, rejoicing that Rex appeared to have been banished to Hell. The Enforcers proceeded to shakedown the councilman for the file he was carrying. Personal phones and tabloid cameras went off.
“All in a day’s work, fine folks!” said Socket. “But I gotta give a HAND it to the councilman here for being soooo brave!”
The councilman was offered a literal hand ripped from one of Socket’s undead minions. At that point, the councilman pretty much fainted. Socket and Grizzly let off a hearty laugh, before shuffling away to examine their prize.
Or they would have, if a gleaming sword hadn’t lopped off Socket’s arm holding the file in an instant! Grizzly was quick to draw his pistol, getting a couple of shots off: The recently arrived Curious Kunoichi was knocked backwards by the shots, the kevlar lining of her costume taking one round and another shot grazing her leg. As she hit the ground, she had tossed out a handful of putty that collided with the barrel of Grizzly’s pistol—the ursine-themed commando’s gun barrel exploding in his face the next time he pulled the trigger.
“Kunoichi! Damn you!” hissed Socket. “Give us back our file, or else you’ll really be sorry! I just sent your shitty friend on a one-way trip to the damned realms!”
Something in the Curious Kunoichi snapped at the thought of having arrived too late. Grizzly had drawn his own bowie knife, and clashed it against Curio’s wakizashi. The commando swung with one hand so the blades would be forced against one another, his other hand trying to take the ninja-detective into his enhanced grip. In a bout of defense, Curio performed a backflip kick right into Grizzly’s wrist with great force that veered it off course. Then, using her sword to safely parry aside the large knife, she applied a light palm strike to Grizzly’s chest.
“I got body armor of my own, shrimp!” said Grizzly.
“Good. Softens the impact.” said Curio. She pulled out a remote detonator. Grizzly looked down to see she had stuck a landmine to his chest. When she hit the button, LED lights installed in a circular fashion began to light up quickly. Grizzly frantically tried to get at the explosive implement, but was too late. It blew up at point blank, landing him on the ground to writhe in pain. And the next thing Socket knew, Curio’s blade was pointed in his direction.
“New portal.” demanded the Curious Kunoichi. “Now.”
Socket just scoffed. “You can’t kill me. Not for good, you brooding buffoon.”
“I’ll mix your remains in with cow manure after I’m done slicing and dicing.”
The portal was opened anew. There in the distance, the dreaded Golthoom had become a battle-damaged giant—who was battling another giant with a metallic teal body and three bulbous glowing eyes that disappeared, giving way to a large blue fireball: Out of the portal rocketed Rex! His aura being flared up made him resemble a fireball. Rex landed on the street, his shirt tattered somewhat to reveal bruises and burns, hair a mess, eyes wide out of horror, and huffing from great exertion. Curio perked up, and Rex nodded back, offering a thumbs up before he angled to land a haymaker punch right on Socket’s face. But for some reason, Socket and Grizzly were grinning.
*THWOOSH!!*
Just as it seemed to be over, Rex was divebombed and swept up into the sky by a stranglehold: A cavalry charge by Ectoette!
“STOP! We’re ALL heroes here and we’re better than this. YOU are better than this! What happened to the patient friend you used to be?! It’s not too late to turn back!”
Her arms had the density turned up, coiled around his throat. Her flight path was interrupted by his struggle to break free of her crushing, superhuman grip. There was no eloquence left in him, no desire to discuss this, not like all the times he’d tried in the past. Because as he argued a hundredfold before, so too they had shut down his concerns in similar measure.
“SHUT UP!” howled Rex with a gasp of air. “SHUT UP, SHUT UP, SHUT UP! LEMME GO—I’M GONNA KNOCK THEIR STINKING LIGHTS OUT!!”
Ectoette let off a bloodcurdling yell. Her form seemed to distort—accompanied by multiple intangible afterimages of herself that moved in different directions, like a wailing ghost from which she derived her entire theme. Her grip started to feel more acidic than before.
         “REX… THIS. ISN’T. YOU!!!!”
The volume of her banshee scream came suddenly, overwhelming Rex’s senses—particularly his hyper-hearing. But covering his ears would only offer a brief relief. He finally pried her hand off, and slipped out of her aerial hold. With a bloodcurdling screech, she raised one hand, altering the density so it could phase through solid matter. But once she connected it with Rex, she was going to turn it solid again and discombobulate his molecular structure and throw his reserves of cosmic energy into a frenzy!
         “AAAUGH!”
Coupled with the shock to his hyper-hearing, Ectoette’s phasing attack was doing a number on him. He ignited his aura power again, taking hold of her incorporeal knife-hand nestled between where his ribs would be, and forced her away with a front kick. Her three flyer underlings were on him shortly after with a cascade of more tangible melee strikes, and whatever secondary abilities they had— raining down thunderbolts, laser beams, anything as long as they were keeping the pressure on Rex.
This was like before too, wasn’t it? They could kick him down all they wanted, but the moment Rex defended himself, he was going over the line. Even those as upstanding as Ectoette upheld this. Teammates like her, mentors who were unerringly polite. Always diehard sticklers for the rules, quicker to admonish everyone but their corrupt counterparts.
         *WHAM!*
Rex kept that in mind as he grabbed a flyer by the cape, and swung them into their teammate. For the third and last one, he brought his hands together into an axe-handle blow that would send them crashing through several floors of a nearby parking garage. He flew down to finish what he started with Socket and Grizzly, both fists aimed forward so he could tackle right into them with the momentum he was gathering.
And then he went right past them.
         “NO…!!”
He felt a hand on his back. Rex turned around to see Ectoette had raced after him. Extended her density shifting powers onto him when he least expected it, so that Rex couldn’t use his aura or energy control to resist. They hovered there in that empty subway stop for a while.
For that, there was absolute rage welling up within Rex. Ectoette looked disappointed. True, Rex was in a miserable state: But she still seemed to believe the solution was in his returning to a state of being he just couldn’t embrace anymore. The spectral superhero started drifting away like yet another memory. Free from her grasp, Rex immediately raised his aura to counteract her density shift. Ran up the stairs back to the street, and saw she had dragged him to a stop much further away than where the fight had taken place.
         “Thank heavens!”
Rex turned: It was the Curious Kunoichi. But minus the file she’d sought after. In lieu of it, a couple more injuries. She was able to fight back, but only to retreat for now.
“They got away with it.” muttered Rex. “… Again.”
Curio looked aside for a moment. She knew he was blaming himself. But that’s what stung her at times: She wondered why she wasn’t the one to blame here. She could have been more careful, taken more steps to make sure she wasn’t being surveilled before. No doubt her councilman contact was going to have his job on the line.
“There’ll be other plans. Other chances.” said Curio. “We’re okay though, right?”
Rex blinked. He could tell her intent was to focus on their physical health after that fight. He extended a hand to shake, which confused Curio for a moment, but went along with it in the end, before being thoroughly surprised by a low-five.
“Sure. We need to work on that secret handshake though.”
“Secret… handshake?” said Curio, raising a brow. “Like some kind of heads-up signal for our next operation?”
“Sure, I guess. But also: just to do whenever.”
Curio felt a little better when Rex put on a weak smile.
“Thanks for gettin’ me outta that other dimension. I knew I could count on you. We square?”
Curio took a moment to soak in those words—that someone had faith in her abilities. And then she finally nodded after a moment.
“Square. Indeed.”
It was a wonder they had ever become friends as they had, given their past. But for now, it was better to have a comrade during such trying times. At last, Rex put his hands into his pockets, and started to shuffle along home with the Curious Kunoichi, who accompanied him until one of them was back at their own doorstep.

The Great Apricus Tournament..TWO!
Tumblr media
“Attention Apricus! It’s ya girl, the one, the only, the Mistress of Ceremonies...Cerise!”
“I’m here with an announcement I KNOW you’re all gonna love! Remember last year’s Great Apricus Tournament? Well we’re comin back for round two baby!”
“Here’s how it works. Each district may select a total of FIVE participants. Each district’s “leader” has the final say on who makes the team so you better start making your case now!”
“I know last year’s events were met with some controversy due to the unusual nature of the events. Hey, at least you got to fight a giant Morely robot, that was cool right?”
“Anyway this year is gonna be different! You want more battles? You’re gonna get more battles! You’re gonna get one on one fights, team vs team fights, and who knows what else!”
“Now I won’t lie, we MAY be throwing in a few special events just to make sure things aren’t too repetitive. I’ve been consulting with some folks over in the Diamond District and we’ve got some interesting ideas so far!”
“I’ll be back with more news as the event draws closer but for now, best start impressing your district heads if you want to make the team!”

HERE HAVE CHAPTER THREE-
Goh POV
SEVERAL DAYS LATER
I felt much better after the poison was out of my system- but I noticed Ash was starting to look bad.
NOT IN THE BAD WAY- Well, yes, in a bad way- BUT NOT IN THE LIKE, YOU-LOOK-BAD AS A PERSON BAD.
BAD IN HEALTH, THAT'S WHAT I MEANT.
He coughed a lot, and sneezed a ton too. For a while I thought he had what I'd had, but Pokemon poisoning isn't really contagious.
Then I remembered, the day before he'd fallen asleep on the floor- he'd played and looked for Pokemon in the cold rain.
I didn't join him- even though it was perfect conditions to encounter Zapdos- I didn't want to get wet.
He had come back in soaked and shivering. I wouldn't be surprised if that was what finally caught up with him and made him sick.
Speaking of Ash, he was sitting beside me, looking awfully sweet. It didn't matter if he was wearing half of the little cream cake he was eating on his face- it was adorable for him anyway. I rubbed my thumb over it, getting it off his face.
He hardly noticed, the way he was downing those things like they were small- which they weren't. They were huge, about the size of my palm, and he was eating them like they were the size of chips.
Pikachu was eating them just as fast.
I smiled at him. He had cream on his nose again.
After Ash had finished THE WHOLE BAG, he stood up. He looked dazed, like he'd been hit with Confusion or some other move that rendered the victim confused. I didn't know battles very well, Ash was the battle kind of person.
'Oh, you stole my cash? BATTLE ME!' and 'Oh, you want to take over the world and kill the champion, that's nice. NOW BATTLE ME!'
That kind of thing.
Ash still had cream on his nose, so I stood with him and grabbed a napkin. "Wha-?"
I cut him off by rubbing the napkin over his nose with a light laugh.
He blinked when I took it back. Several times actually.
I stepped back, and he took a deep breath.
And sneezed.
Hard.
He held his palm to his head for a moment with a groan. "Don't you hate when you have the biggest sneeze, and afterward it comes with the BIGGEST HEADACHE- and it makes your head feel all KABLAM and KABOOM?" I nodded- doing my best to refrain from laughing. IT'S NOT FUNNY GOH IT DOESN'T MATTER HOW CUTE HE IS HE'S IN PAIN QUIT LAUGHING. Ash sat back down, and rested his head on the metal of the table we had been sitting at.
"Aughhhhhhh... My head." Ash held both hands to the sides of his head, with a mutter of pain.
"Do you want me to ask Professor Cerise if he has anything for a headache?" I asked, rubbing his back. He didn't answer. "I'll be right back." I said, stealing his hat and putting it on my head backwards.
"Hey!" He said.
But I was already gone.
****
ASH POV
****
Aw man, he stole my hat! He is doing something nice though, getting me medicine, so I'll let it slide this once. I like my hat.
When he returned, I had my head down again. I mean, MY HEAD REALLY HURT. I don't know why it did, but it did, and it did a lot.
He handed me a small cup of water, and a pill. I ignored it and kept my head down. Goh tapped me, and I lifted my head. I must have looked like the dead, because he gasped, and said, "Take the medicine, I'm getting Professor Cerise." And he did just that.
I took the pill and waited.
Goh came back, and my vision was all blurry. I stood, and tried to move towards him, but he grabbed me by the shoulders. " Hey, no. You need to sit back down." he said, but to me, it sounded like; "Hehhnurrrr, yoneadtasightboughtdrowwwwn." I looked at him funny, and he turned my head with a hand under my chin. "Are you okay?" He whispered.
I wasn't paying attention. I was busy staring at him and musing at how good he looked in my hat, with a big, goofy grin plastered all over my face.
My knees buckled, and Goh thrust his hands under my arms to keep me up. He couldn't do it for long though, his arms weren't strong enough. Professor Cerise put a thermometer under my tongue, and pulled it back when it beeped.
Evidently it wasn't good.
Goh tried to help me up, but my legs wouldn't support me. I tried to tell him that, but my voice came out as a mumble, and my vision started going fuzzy again. I buried my face in his shirt and passed out.
****
Goh POV
******
EAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH-
Ash has a high fever and just passed out in my arms, OH ARCEUS HE'S IN MY ARMS-
Speaking of arms, mine were starting to hurt, so I sat down and gently put Ash in my lap. His head was resting in the crook of my elbow, and even though his brows were drawn together painfully and his face was flushed with fever, he looked cute.
Professor Cerise offered to take him, but I waved him off and said I was fine, I'd call him if I needed him, etcetera.
I stroked Ash's hair. I wonder why he always hid it with a hat? It was really soft. Really soft.
Like, softer than a Buneary's fluff, or even Cinderace's fur. It gave a new definition to soft that I doubt I'll ever find anything else to match.
I smiled down at him. Oh man, he's such a dork. But I love...
I blushed. Was I really about to use that word? With a guy?
I'm about to freak out. LITERALLY.
I was so tempted to just put Ash down and go cry in a corner or something because of how I feel, but I could NOT abandon Ash.
I looked at my Rotom phone. A... test couldn't hurt. Were my feelings right? Or were they wrong?
I pulled up a test.
A Homosexuality test.
I took a deep breath, and dived into the questions after I looked at the disclaimer.
This is not a real test, but it's the most statistical one I can find.
I looked at question one.
"Do you think you could be attracted to members of the same gender?"
I looked down at Ash.
I clicked Pretty Sure.
"Have you ever had a girlfriend/boyfriend of the opposite gender?"
I clicked No.
"Have you ever had a girlfriend/boyfriend of the same gender?"
I clicked No for that one too.
"Do you want to have a relationship with a member of the same gender?"
I looked at Ash again, and clicked Maybe.
I continued to go through them, and by the time I'd reached the end, I was super nervous. What if it said I should ask Ash out? I don't know what I'd do.
I clicked the answer button with my eyes closed, and then I slowly opened them.
The statistics were as follows;
24% Pansexual
0% Straight
1% Bisexual
75% Gay
(Yeah, yeah, I know)
I gasped.
"WHAT-" I blinked, and exited the quiz. WOAH. JUST WOAH. I looked at Ash again- and then I realized I kind of believed it. I never really looked at girls.
But I never looked at boys either. I never really looked at anyone. (He knows it's not a real quiz, he's just freaking out)
Ash stirred, and turned his head to bury it in my stomach and arm. I smiled, and watched him until I was thoroughly grossed out at the fact that he was drooling on my arm. >:V
When he turned again- he was doing a lot of it, since he probably wasn't comfortable- his eyes opened. "Goh?" He whispered.
"Hey, Ash. How are you doing?"
He didn't answer me, instead, he fought to try and sit up. "Hey, I think you should lie back-"
Our lips met. They were incredibly soft. He was just a soft boy- nothing but soft.
HE JUST DID WHAT-
"What... Huh?"
He laid back down and closed his eyes.
"Ash? ASH-" I touched my lips with a finger gently. What had gotten into him?
Not that I minded, but he just kissed me.
IN CERISE PARK.
WHERE THERE ARE CAMERAS.
AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH THERE'S EVIDENCE-
My face was burning, and so was my chest. My heart was racing. That test, even though it wasn't made by a professional- is most definitely right.
Now what to do about it?
I can't tell him, that's for sure. I'm positive he's not into guys.
BUT HE JUST KISSED ME.
BUT HE'S ALSO DELIRIOUS SO IT DOESN'T COUNT. He probably wouldn't remember when he woke up.
I ran both of my hands through his hair, lacing my fingers in the soft strands, and buried my face in it too. His hair smelled like coconuts and something else exotic and fruity I could not name. I did not move for some time.
(HEADCANON TIME- When Ash was in Alola, he had to take really good care of his hair- since all the sun and heat and weathering and stuff- and Professor Kukui showed him this awesome soap, so he just uses it by habit now. It's a really sweet smelling soap- go to the nearest supermarket if you can, find the fruitiest, most exotic smelling candle and/or soap. Pineapple or Coconut or something.
That is now Ash's hair-smell. You're welcome. :D)
*********
GOH POVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVV
I must have fallen asleep after a little while, because when I woke up, the sun had moved very far across the sky.
Chloe was sitting in a seat at the table me and Ash were sitting at earlier. "Why hello there, sleepy-head."
I yawned in response. "How is he?" She said.
I looked down at Ash. If possible, he looked worse. His face was incredibly pale and sweat glistened on his forehead. I tried to stand, but I couldn't- of course I couldn't, Ash was literally laying on top of me.
I held him close for a second to try and get myself situated, and then I stood with him in my arms.
OH WOW HOLY ARCEUS OH CRAP WHY IS HE SO HEAVY-
I've never really carried a person before- I never carry anything heavy. Never had to.
Maybe I should try lifting weights or something. Gotta get this fixed.
I tried to walk over to Chloe, but I had to set Ash down. I kneeled down and gently put him in the grass.
"He isn't good. I mean, just look at him." I wish I could do something about it though.
I pulled out my phone- about to call Professor Cerise again and found...
Oh no, the test is still up!
I must not have exited the test properly. I could've sworn I pressed the little 'X'.
Chloe snatched the phone out of my hand- she did it fairly often, trying to sift through my secrets- but this time she was going to get what she wanted. Her face lit up. "Oh, I knew it! I knew it, I knew it, I knew it!"
My face burning, I grabbed my phone back. I exited the test- properly this time- and completely powered off the phone.
I sat on the ground, and without even meaning to, laced my fingers in Ash's hair again.
I MEAN COME ON HIS HAIR IS REALLY SOFT-
Chloe giggled. "So you like boys?" I glared at her.
"NO I DON'T!"
"Mhmm, says the boy swooning over Mr.Pokemon Master over there."
I looked up at her. "So, you don't mind?"
" What? The fact that you totally like guys and won't admit it?"
My face went blank. "No, don't go into autopilot mode, I need your input here."
(MORE HEADCANNON TIMEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE - Goh goes into "autopilot mode" when he's wither really stressed, nervous, or surprised. It's like an over-stimulation, a mental one. /so, his face just kinda goes blank and he's deaf to the world, just staring into nothingness :D)
I blinked, and glared at her. "Fine." (It also takes him a second to pull himself back out of his void-world)reylin
She moved over to sit beside me. "Have you told your parents?" I shook my head. "No, I only recently began feeling this way, and I just took the test- I mean, I know it's not a real test, but it does have a little truth..."
She smiled. "I've taken one too. I'm a little bit of everything." I looked at her, shocked. Chloe took a homosexuality test?!
AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH
I looked down at Ash. "Do you think he'll take one if I ask him to?" I whispered. She shook her head. "I'll ask him."
She gave me her most mischievous smirk, and said, "I'll do my best to get you your crazy boyfriend."
"HE'S NOT MY BOYFRIEND!"
"Keep pretending. He will be soon." >:3
"CHLOE!"
She pushed me affectionately, and said, "I'll go get Dad for you. Don't worry, he probably only has a cold."
****
Ash did not only have a cold.
Apparently he'd been hiding how he felt for days, and it only got worse since he didn't rest.
I found out how sick he was because I overheard a conversation on the phone between Professor Cerise and Ash's mother, Delia. They had sent Ash home to his mother to get better.
Professor was fond of Ash's mother, (NOT IN THAT WAY I SAW THAT LOOK DON'T EVEN DENY IT) and usually put her on speaker phone since he wasn't very good with technology- and he could flip through books and stuff and still hear her.
"How is Ash doing?" He had asked.
"He isn't good. I had to take him to a doctor."
"What did they say?"
"He's very sick. Close to pneumonia even- he'll stay one more day at home, and then I'm moving him to a hospital." "Oh my, that really isn't good."
"Correct, Professor. Don't tell Goh, okay? That poor boy will turn his hair grey with worry before it's time- I swear."
I gasped, and took off running.
"Ms. Ketchum? I think he already knows."
Oh, yes. I knew. And I was going to go see Ash right now. I grabbed my bag, my Pokeballs, and when I went to reach for the door, I found it locked.
I stuck a pin in the lock and popped it- a weird specialty I had picked up for some reason- and then took off, ignoring Ren calling me back. He must have been the one who locked the door.
I didn't stop running until I reached Ash's house. Then - from overexertion - I stumbled and grabbed the doorframe, my vision spinning way too much. I should not have run that long- I was not capable of withstanding that. Oh... man...
I sat my back against the wall, and passed out.
***
I woke to find a ceiling fan spinning dizzyingly above me. I turned my head to see a clock- it was only about an hour since I left the lab. I might have been out for thirty minutes at least.
Turning my head to the other side, I saw Ash's mother leaning over the couch. I was on the floor, on a little pull-out mattress.
Then I saw who she was leaning over on the couch. Ash.
Flushed with fever and brows drawn together with pain, Ash looked like the embodiment of death.
I fought the covers and freed myself. "Ash!" I called, now struggling with the sheet that had wrapped itself around my ankle.
Ms. Ketchum looked back at me. "Hello Goh. How are you feeling?" She slipped her hand to my forehead, checking my temperature with her Mom-senses. "I'm... fine. How is... Ash?"
His name caught in my throat, and I looked down at him. Now that I was up close, his pain struck me even harder in my heart. Ms. Ketchum sighed.
"He hasn't been this sick since he went out in a thunderstorm in winter when he was six. He stayed out there for hours- that time he really did catch pneumonia."
My eyes filled with tears. "I shouldn't ... have let him.. go out looking for... Pokemon in ... that storm! I knew it ...was ... a bad idea!" I buried my face in my hands. Then, my sobbing got worse, because I realized what it meant. "You ... told me to take... care of him! I let... you ... down-"
Ms. Ketchum placed a hand on my shoulder. "Hush, honey. You did no such thing! You can't dissuade my son when he has his mind set on something."
I couldn't stop crying- until I felt a very shaky hand brush my tears away.
"Goh..." It was Ash.
"Don't cry, okay? It's not your fault. Besides, you look prettier with a smile instead of a frown."
My face reddened, and I held his hand with my own. "Okay. I'll ... I'll stop ... crying." I got down on my knees, looking at Ash's face. "Get ... better, okay? We have to go... catch Pokemon together."
He smiled faintly. "Yeah. We do." He yawned.
I rested my chin on my arms, and stared at him. We stared at each other. I fell asleep first.

"I guess I'll leave you two alone." Mom said, ruffling my hair. "Mom! It's not like he likes me like that."
She laughed. "I really do have a dense son! He totally likes you! And Ash, I don't mind."
I shook my head. "No, Mom-"
Chloe burst through the door. "I expected him to be here!" She panted, pointing roughly at Goh.
Mom gave Chloe a knowing look. "We were just having a conversation about how Goh likes Ash..."
She blinked, and then busted out laughing. "Of course he does! He follows Ash everywhere, and is really sad without him. He's like a little Yamper following it's owner."
"He's not a Pokemon-" I began.
"I know, I know. Hey Ash, here." She pulled up something on her phone.
Homosexuality Test.
I blinked. "Why do you want me to take this?" Chloe smiled. "I saw Goh take one. I was curious to see your results."
I shrugged. "Okay."
"Do you think you could be attracted to members of the same gender?"
I looked sideways at Goh - then at Mom and Chloe, looking at me intently.
I clicked Maybe.
"Have you ever had a girlfriend/boyfriend of the opposite gender?"
I clicked No.
But I've been close.
"Have you ever had any girlfriend/boyfriend of the same gender?"
I clicked No for that one as well.
"Do you want to have a relationship with a member of the same gender?"
I clicked Maybe again.
I continued to go through them all, one by one. I clicked the answer button gently, curious now.
The statistics were as follows;
60% Pansexual
0% Straight
5% Bisexual
35% Gay
"Well, here you go." I said quietly, handing the phone back to Chloe. She squealed.
"This is great!" She shook her hands all fan-girly like, until her phone buzzed. "That's Dad." She said. Chloe pointed to Goh, looking at my mother with a smile. "I'll be taking this one." She rifled through his pockets, and brought out a Pokeball. She let whichever Pokemon was in it out.
"Cinderace, race!"
"Hello Cinderace. Can you carry Goh please?"
Cinderace nodded, and gently tried to pick up their Trainer. Goh stirred, and began waking up. Chloe covered his ears (Another little headcanon of mine :D) and he murmured, then quieted.
"I've learned this over the years I've known him. If you want Goh to sleep, cover his ears." Goh buried his face in Cinderace's chest fur with a mumble.
"It works when he's overwhelmed too. He'll calm down if you cover his ears. It's the best thing to do in all I-need-calm situations."
I smiled. "That's so cute..." I whispered. Chloe gave me her best Oh-you-think-you're-so-smooth look, and I blushed, and settled down into the blankets I had all over the couch. Chloe and Cinderace left.
Mom reached her hand and felt my forehead. "Actually, you might not have to go to a hospital. You've rested a lot since you came over, and you're getting better-"
I tried to sit up.
"But Ash Ketchum, that does not mean you get up. You stay here and rest. If Goh calls, you can answer him. Understood?"
"Mhmm."
Yes...?"
"Yes Ma'am."
I pulled out my phone. I had three missed battle challenges, and a text from Gary. I opened the text.
Hey Ashy-boy, heard you were sick. Get better soon.
Gary cared enough to send me a text, telling me to feel better? That's odd. Usually he'd send me a pun or some insult telling me something mean that would be really funny later.
I replied with a simple, "Thank you", and put the phone down.
Then I picked it back up.
And set it down again.
I picked it up for a second time, and looked at my lock screen. Just Pikachu, smiling. Right now, he was cradled in the crook of one of my elbows, limiting the movement of my left arm.
I went into the settings and pressed Change Wallpaper.
I scrolled through my many, many photos, and found one I liked.
It was a picture of Goh from a few weeks ago. He had my hat on backwards, and was smiling the biggest smile I'd ever seen. He had his hands in his hoodie pocket.
He had wanted me to take the picture to send to his mom - showing her how far he'd come- and I did- but he didn't know I kept my copy of the photo.
I smiled.
This time when I set the phone down, I left it down. I turned over, and tried to sleep.

*sometime before the Nivis trip*
Tumblr media
“Hey, that was a really fun session! Sorry you had to CM again, Hugo.”
Tumblr media
“It’s cool, I’ve accepted I’m a ‘forever-CM.’ I’m just glad we could all play together.”
Tumblr media
“Damn, it’s been a hot minute since we got to play together. Hey, Sable. Nice work with the riddle there. I’m pretty sure Night was about to just bust the door down.”
Tumblr media
“Look, sometimes you just gotta fireball shit.”
Tumblr media
“It wasn’t too hard of a puzzle. If you guys want a real challenge, let me run a Cavern, I’ll pull out all the riddles.”
Tumblr media
“Ugh, please no. No more riddles.... I hate riddles.”
Tumblr media
“I thought your riddle was pretty clever. Hey, thanks again for the invite, guys. I’ve never played before. That was pretty fun. Do you guys meet up like every week or something?”
Tumblr media
“We try. And you’re welcome back any time, Colt. If Frosty says you’re cool, I believe it.”
Tumblr media
“Yeah! Please come back next week? I’m really excited to see that egg hatch. I’m betting it’s either a baby wyrmling or a gryphon.”
Tumblr media
“Oh, Colt, you just transferred to Apricus U, right? If you want, I can help you flesh out your character a little more between classes.”
Tumblr media
“Really?! Wow, you guys are awesome! I feel super lucky to have run into you. I mean, if I hadn’t been hit by Frosty’s car, I would’ve never met you!”
Tumblr media
“Hey, now, bro. You ran into me. There’s still a little dent in the door and a long-ass scratch your board left.”
Tumblr media
“Eh heh, yeah.... Sorry.... Still, it’s kinda like fate, right? Anyway, it was super fun to play with everyone and get to know you guys. I’ll definitely think about that offer, Night. For now, I should probably get going; I got practice in the morning.”
Tumblr media
“Oh, yeah? Practice for what? You play Hecaball?”
Tumblr media
“Ahhh haha, naaaw, I’m actually a big fan of gravity. Most of what I play is on solid ground. I’ve played a lot of sports, but that’s one I’ve never really considered.”
Tumblr media
“Hey, that’s fair. It’s not for everyone. Alright, I guess I’ll see you around campus.”
Tumblr media
“Yeah~! Later, everyone! Bye, Sable~!”
Tumblr media
“Oh, I don’t get a goodbye?”
Tumblr media
“Heh, maybe if you were cuter. Kidding. Later, Frost.”
Tumblr media
“Hmmm.... You think he purposefully forgot my name?”
Tumblr media
“Don’t take it personally, love. You just met, I’m sure he’ll get your name soon enough.”
Tumblr media
“I know you can be a little dense, so I’m just gonna say: he was definitely hitting on you. Pretty sure ignoring me was on purpose.”
Tumblr media
“Sorry, sis. That’s just the curse of being a girl playing C&C. I’ve seen it happen to Cerise a couple times. Whether she noticed or not, I dunno. But I’m sure the guy’s harmless, he’s just teasing. I’ll talk to him more at school, see what’s up, make sure he knows Sable’s off-limits.”
Tumblr media
“... I can defend myself....”
Tumblr media
“Yeah, you liked it. I get it. Cute new guy shows up, gives you attention. Just be careful around him. Guys are stupid.”
Tumblr media
“Naw, he knows I’d kill ‘im if he ever did anything to my family. A’ight, guess I’ll see ya next week. See ya, Hugo. Bye Sable, Night.”

@sanguinehaven sent: ❝ It's one of their rare breaks, and they decided to visit Spaz. He's good company, he's nice, and hey, maybe they'll see him dealing with some weirdos. How did he do that anyways? They probably wouldn't be able to handle the constant weirdness he apparently attracts. Although...seems like this time that weirdness was a little more on the aggressive side. *Don't talk to him like that. They say, speaking up after someone rather questionable, bombarding their friend with odd requests and rather personal questions. Doesn't seem like that stranger appreciated it, immediately getting in Cerise's face, and it seems like they were going to try and deescalate the situation until....They were hit. Taking a few steps back, Cerise seems a bit lost for words... ❞
Tumblr media
The weirdos. The strange puppet's equally freaky faceless, unknown customers, always jumping between excessively kind to cruel and sadistic on a moment's notice. Cerise was welcome in the glitched little store front, to watch his silly conversations, watch him try to sell random items he found in the dump, and answer... degrading questions.
But then they interject. He frowns and raises his hands to mime that they should stop from over the customer's shoulder, a panicked grin tight on his face, too tongue tied-- as always-- to get out a coherent thought as the taller stranger-- everyone was always taller than him, bigger than him-- stands between him and his friend. One of his so few friends. He wants to tell them to back off, tell them they're too close! Don't touch them, don't touch them, don't--
But they did. And he sees Cerise's health go down.
And he starts seeing... red. Faster than he can think to realize it, like flood gates opened in his head, his temper shatters wherever he kept it inside like a pressure valve burst. It was enough to turn not just his face but his whole body that vibrant shade of devil crimson. And the very next thing the other addison would see... is a black phone receiver rocketing from below and wrapping itself around the customer's neck.
" * ITS FOR YOU [ its for you ] ITSFORITSFOR-- I T S F O R Y O U... "
The sound of his increasingly distorted and deepening voice is followed by the sight of his blacked out eyes on his blood red face, wildly grimacing, shoes perched against their back as he practically climbed and reigned them-- just by the throat and not the teeth. Yank. Yank! Until the taller one falls down, knocked to their face. He pulls tighter, letting up for only three briefest jolts as he yanks and wraps his mechanical knuckles in the wire, tighter and tighter, a better grip to pull with. " * DO YOU WANT TO [ HURT ] PEOPLE-- PE oPLE-- HURT PEOPLE? DO YOU? " Every movement of his teeth forces steam from his mouth. Worn, white business shoes stomp their heel into the back of their head-- again and again-- an act of pure frustration. All of this, not a skill he had, just what the anger wanted to do in the moment.
" * 1S IT FUN? " Do you have any idea how easy it is to lose someone? A monster, especially? " * ARE!! YOu !! [ having fun yet? ] !? " A few numbers, ticked away, and suddenly nothing's left! Do they know what they'd be taking from him if they went just a little too far? Hit them one too many times? One of the only people patient and kind enough to care for him in this whole damned city? Do they want to send him back to nothing? Do they want him alone again-- is that it?
... He realizes the feeling of struggle in his wire has long disappeared. He lets go. No movement, no breath in. They've... died. He's killed them. With his whole body shaking, he retracts the phone weapon-- if that's what it was now, instead of just the magic he used to make calls on the go-- back into himself, staring at the floor as his eyes flicker back to color. Though he's still deep red.
" ....... ARE you ... OK, [ pal ]? " He tries to smile but its crooked, and he doesn't look at them, of course, how could he? But he was talking to Cerise, not the customer.

+navigation: special menu; main menu.
+author’s notes: i hope you enjoy!! i did find myself get carried away in the middle of the fic so i cut it a bit short.
Tumblr media
Kōshi always wondered if you remembered how it felt like when the two of you were still high-school kids. He loved it when you laughed as the two of you would walk home together, he loved it whenever the two of you would go to a nearby coffee shop to study(and not that he would ever admit it, but he always ended up staring at you instead of getting his work done), he loved it when you would shyly hold his hand, or when your cheeks would heat up after he brushed a strand of hair behind your ear.
Christ, the nostalgic feeling was eating away at him as he lay in bed.
That feeling—the feeling of being a carefree high-school kid in love—felt so sickening yet ephemeral, so ethereal yet somehow sad.
He really wanted to relive those moments. That moment of sudden realization when he found out he was in love with you, or that one time when you accidentally fell on top of him and he got to stare into your eyes without hesitation.
He wondered if such a place still existed. Thinking back, he can only remember the good stuff. The loud giggles, the shy blushes, the carefree smiles, the reckless love.
He's glad that he fell in love with you—even if it was quite the foolish thing to do. He couldn't care less. As long as you were with him, he was complete. He was glad that worry never once crossed your mind when you had kissed him for the first time because look where you are now due to that. A simple heavenly kiss blossoming into one of the most beautiful aspects of Sugawara's life. He loved that you were the total opposite of him; you lived for the moment, not once fearing what was next and diving headfirst no matter how deep the ocean was.
Reminiscing the times you would spend at his place as kids made his heart flutter. The two of you would almost always end up building forts out of pillows or blankets on the couch. And inside was your own little world, with no one to taint it, as your love continued to grow. He remembers how he found a comforting warmth in your embrace; one that thawed all anxiety and cold from his heart. He loved how you made promises without the fear of getting burned—it was like "fear" didn't exist in your dictionary.
And every time he's with you, he learns more about himself.
He got up, yawning, as he walked into the bathroom to brush his teeth. His ebony shirt stuck to his skin as his grey sweatpants hung loosely from his hips. He ran a hand through his tousled pewter hair, trying to untangle a few strands. He then proceeded to walk into the kitchen, to find a mug of coffee with a lid on top—and it made him smile. He walked up to the mug, and then placed it inside the microwave, not caring about when the coffee was made.
He hummed a tune that was stuck in his head—because you wouldn't stop playing the song last night—as he noticed the grey sticky-note on the fridge.
He chuckled, the noise echoing in the previously silent apartment. The only color of sticky-notes you owned was grey. Why? Because you said that it reminded you of his hair. He shook away the thoughts as he began reading the note.
Hey, Ko! Good morning, pretty boy!  I know I left a little earlier than usual today, I'm so sorry. I got a call from work and had to leave. I will make it up to you tonight, dinner's on me. You're gonna watch me fail miserably as I make you that spicy mapo tofu you love. Please don't laugh(if you do I'll throw that pepper at you). Also, I left you a mug of coffee. Drink it, okay? See you tonight, I love you more than anything.  Love, [Y/N].
The microwave beeping made him stop smiling as he took the hot mug into his hands. He smiled, smelling the aroma in for a good second or two because he loved the way you made coffee. It was strong but still sweet. The sugar would hit the tongue then slowly fade away as the bitterness of the coffee beans took over.
He smiled. Because what better way of realizing his ever-increasing love for you than just seeing traces of you everywhere? The ring on his finger always evoked him of the happiest day of his life. He remembers asking you to marry him in front of your old high school, as you sobbed tears of happiness while pulling out a velvet box of your own from your bag.
The density of his love was so high, it probably drowned to the deepest pits of the undiscovered parts of the ocean. How lucky am I? He'd think to himself.
Today was his off-day, and although he was sad that he couldn't spend it with you, he was looking forward to the night. He grinned toothily, sipping the last of the coffee and setting the mug in the sink.
He couldn't wait to tell you he loved you again; even though he has already said it a million times, he's going to remind you every day that his feelings for you only increase.
Tumblr media
He looked at himself in the mirror; the black dress-shirt complimenting his features in the most elegant way possible. He knew today wasn't special, but every day seemed special when it was spent with you.
He undid the first button of his shirt—honestly, he was just overthinking. Why was he caught in such a muddle? Why was today important, anyway? Why did it tingle in his chest when he thought of simply touching you? The thoughts were far from erotic; they were romantic, really because he just craved your simple touch—just the smallest caress of the cheek. He thinks about you, the way your eyes sparkle whenever he patted your head tenderly, or the way you smiled with such fondness in your eyes when he talked about a certain student of his or simply an assignment.
Sighing he left the bathroom, scrolling through his phone one last time till the door-bell rang.
He ran—no, sprinted— to the door as fast as he could. And there you were, in all your glory, with that... that small smile painted on your cerise lips and the same fondness blended deep into the [E/C] of your eyes. All of his brooding anxiety seemed to fade away at this point, he wondered how just a smile from you could make him feel at such ease.
"Ko," you tilted your head lightly, "—you look astounding."
"Astounding, huh?" he smirked(definitely not meaning to, but his body worked on its own when he was with you. He was definitely running marathons on the inside). You blushed, nodding slightly as you walked inside.
You removed your coat, placing it in the coat rack and proceeding to take off your boots as Sugawara did nothing but gaze at you longingly. How were you so nomadic, yet so ethereal?
"I missed you today," he murmurs, snaking his arms around your waist and placing his chin on the nape of your neck. His heart felt like it was doing the hardest work-out of its life as it pumped more blood into his system. His brain felt like it was a short-circuited computer as he inhaled your scent.
"Hm, well here I am, making it up to my loving and handsome fiancé," you hummed indulgently, turning your head the slightest bit to kiss him.
He swore he could hear the thump of his heart in his ears when your lips fell on his. He felt himself melting into it; a kiss that made him feel all of his heart's emotions at once. He knew that nothing else in the world existed like this feeling. He knew no words could describe what he was feeling.
So he simply stayed put as you pulled away, smiling from ear-to-ear. Your embrocating hands on the back of his neck as he said, "So, ready to cook that mapo tofu for me?"

You order a chocolate milkshake.
You never had one before, but they were his favorite.
The boy with blue hair drank them so often that they were all you could taste when your lips pressed against his. He would place one hand on your cheek with the other gently grasping you by the curve of your waist, pulling you closer until he kissed you dizzy. The slightest hints of chocolate stained his breath as he whispered sweet nothings that meant everything to you. He mumbled i love you’s between each breath, sang you lullabies before every exchange of good night’s, and called you endearments sweeter than the sugary concoction he found so much delight in.
The drink is placed in front of you. Fingers curling around the base of the glass, you take a small sip, reveling in the nostalgic taste. You smile.
Chocolate milkshakes might be your favorite, too.
Tumblr media
The boy with blue hair was a heartbreakingly beautiful enigma wrapped in a well worn leather jacket and a false bravado that fell apart easily beneath your fingertips once you had found yourself occupying every crevice of his heart. He was blue skies turning into cotton candy pink, whispered wishes slipped between birthday candles, vibrantly yellow dandelions peeking out between cracked pavement, the last wisps of dusk settling into twilight, and the nostalgic song that nestled itself within your years of adolescence and yet, you couldn’t remember the title of for the life of you. He was quiet laughter hidden between the dusty bookshelves of a library, kept promises that were sealed with looped pinkies, stolen kisses as the sunset spilled across the sky, and chilled chocolate milkshakes on a warm day.
Falling in love with the boy with blue hair and a heart wrenching smile was never on your list of things to do in high school, and you didn’t think falling in love with you was on his list either, but love had a funny way of working itself out. A chance encounter on your walk home, an innocent offer of tissues towards your usually absent classmate with a bloody nose, and one glance at this vibrant boy who seemed to hold entire galaxies in his eyes were all it took for you to go head over heels for Na Jaemin.
But you’d also have to thank your soulmate—whoever they were—because if Jaemin hadn’t noticed the odd words stating “Save me a milkshake?” tattooed across your wrist in ebony ink, he wouldn’t have offered to buy you a milkshake in return for the tissues. While sitting in the diner on the corner of Camellia Boulevard and Arcadia Street for the very first time, you found out he was much luckier than you as he showed off a neatly written “I promise” on his wrist.
In a world where soulmate signs came in all different shapes and forms, you were fortunate that yours was straightforward and easy-to-hide. It was supposed to be a simple transition of black into gold as your indicator. It was certainly better than Donghyuck’s sign whose hair color changed every few days courtesy of his soulmate. When you told the boy with blue hair about the day your friend was sporting rainbow streaks, the genuine grin gracing his face as he laughed loudly made him look like an angel, and well, angels never hurt anyone, right?
The boy with blue hair never told you why he was sporting a bruised lip and carmine stains at your very first shared interaction, but you were no stranger to all the swirling rumors at school about the wrong crowd he ran with and the affiliations he had with the darker side of the city. However, you never pried, accepting that he would tell you when the time came and he was ready.
And today, he was finally ready. He was ready to leave that part of his past behind, ready to move on, ready to take charge of his life with you by his side. He was going to tell you today.
Friday afternoons were always reserved for you, but unfortunately, he had to meet with someone from his past one final time. He secretly texted you in class, asking you to meet up a little later than usual at your and his favorite diner where the two of you like to argue over the superior milkshake flavor (you adamantly insist that vanilla is better).  When he received your affirmative reply a few minutes later along with a slew of pretty heart emojis, he beamed brightly before sending back a generous amount of cute emojis in response.
He was excited to show you the A he got on his English paper: the one that you helped him outline and that he stayed up all night perfecting. This was the first time he had put so much time and effort into an assignment, and his teacher was more than thrilled when she received the carefully stapled papers with his name proudly stamped across the cover page. His grades were slowly, but steadily improving, and it was all because of you. He even discovered that he really liked his computer science class and began to research potential classes at nearby community colleges.
Clutching his prized paper in hand, Jaemin stood at the intended meeting spot, enjoying the light drizzle of the rain overhead. The sun barely peeked out from behind the darkening clouds, causing the water droplets to glimmer and gleam as they fell. The gentle pattering of tiny raindrops against his face felt refreshing, almost like a new beginning, a quiet reminder of the rainbow that came afterwards.
Jaemin heard the awful squelching noise before he felt it.
It was an uncomfortable pressure at first until it increased in pain and spread across his abdomen, a cold feeling worming its way up and wrapping around his figure. He had found himself dropping onto the damp concrete, curling in on himself as the papers fluttered loosely from his hand, stained in dark shades of cerise that made its way across the ground.
The blurry figure standing above him stood still for a minute before darting off. No loose ends, he could hear his former boss’s voice echoing in his head. It was what he was told the first time he stepped foot on their territory. How naive of him to believe that they would let him go so easily.
Dragging himself towards the wall behind several empty dumpsters, he propped himself up, pressing down on the wound as best he could but the rivulets of carmine spilled much too quickly and easily, slipping between his fingers. It’s futile, and he knew it, the increasingly harsher waves of pain washing over him with every ticking second. He absentmindedly stared at the A and smiley face adorning his paper in red ink, now barely distinguishable from the other glaring hues of vermilion. The rain poured down, turning the paper translucent as it began to tear around the edges.
Mind going numb from everything but the thought of you—you who was still waiting patiently for someone who would never come—he painstakingly pulled out his phone from his jacket, the device almost falling from his grasp. He clumsily fumbled with it for a few moments before he managed to hit the right buttons. You answered on the first ring, and he smiled, small tendrils of warmth blooming from his heart at the sound of your voice. You were the rose among his garden of thorns, the green light on the other side of the shore, and the beacon of light in the midst of a storm.
“Hi, sweetheart,” he said, taking a deep breath. He hoped that you didn’t notice the way his voice wavered nor the way his breath quickened with every passing second. He hoped that you knew he tried so hard to not fall in love with you, so that you wouldn’t get hurt because of him. He hoped that you could forgive him for falling in love with you anyways. He hoped that you could forgive him for being selfish for the one last time.
“Hey, where are you? Are you alright?” Your worried tone was evident, and he squeezed his eyes shut.  He felt tired, his eyelids drooping slowly, yet he still forced himself to stay awake. He’s sorry for lying to you. “Yeah, I’m fine, just running a little late. Are you already there?”
“Yeah, I just ordered a vanilla milkshake for myself. You know, the best flavor,” you teased him, and he relaxed against the bricks, phone held loosely in his hand.
“Oh, really? I think you’re wrong.”
You scoffed, and he could easily picture the way the corners of your lips tug up into a smile that you desperately try to hide. “ You know what? I’m gonna get you a vanilla one right now instead of chocolate. This is what happens when you’re late.”
“You sure you’re not just buying a second one for yourself?” he laughed softly, and you gasped indignantly. “What do you take me for? A milkshake thief? Maybe I should just drink it myself.”
“No!” He weakly protested, breath growing shallower and weaker. He shakily held up his phone, desperately pressing it against his ear. If he closed his eyes, it was almost as if you were right here, talking to him. He could pretend that he was sitting next to you on vinyl covered seats as you share a plate of fries over vanilla and chocolate milkshakes and his fingers shyly brush against yours as he picks up a fry. He could vividly see how your eyes sparkle as you tell him about your day, and he’ll stare at you, enamored and starry eyed, as some retro love song plays from the jukebox in the corner.
“Can you promise me something?” he said quietly. The pauses between each heart palpitation grew wider and further apart, and he could faintly hear you answer yes over his slowing heartbeats. He inhaled sharply, his breath stuttering, as he forced the words through his teeth, clenching tightly onto the phone like a lifeline.
“Save me a milkshake?”
On the other side of town, in a tiny booth tucked in a corner of a 1950s themed restaurant, four little words started to shimmer in gold.
“I promise.”
The boy with blue hair smiled.
As the sky wept, a splash of gold twinkled innocently against the darkening asphalt.

Left Behind - Chapter 2
Left Behind
“YEAH, it’s me,” said Ash, stunned.  “Hi Misty.”
“Mm.”  Without another word Misty stood up and brushed the dirt from herself.
“Pikachupi!”  Pikachu leapt happily toward her. Misty laughed as she caught him.
“Aw, hey Pika Pal!”  She grinned as she lightly pushed him onto her shoulders and extended a hand down to Ash who was too stunned to move.
“Here.”  Ash took it.  Her hand was soft and firm all at once, probably hardened by all the time she presumably spent swimming.  She was also noticeably short, or maybe that was just because he had never processed their height changes the last time he saw her in Alola.
As he stood up, exhaustion seemed to have finally caught up with him as he felt disgusted upon realizing how sweaty he was.
“Sorry about running into you like that.  Are you hur— ow!” Ash winced as he felt pain in his shoulder.
Misty cricked her back and grunted.  “Yeah, no surprise there.  A fall like that would do something.  Besides, I think that fall got me in the knee.”  She pointed toward a slight cut in her left kneecap.
“I’ll call a hospital then.”
Misty waved her hands.  “It’s not that serious.  Probably just need a rest.  Come on, we can rest under that tree.”
They dragged their bikes off the path and both hobbled wearily toward the tree before heaving sighs as their backs met its strong trunk.
As he caught his breath, Ash took the time to look at her.  Despite their ages, she still maintained a youthful look as if she never left her teenage years.  Ash bit his lip – he had thrown the odd thought about her here and there back when they were traveling together but now the word beautiful seemed to come to mind too easily.
Meanwhile Pikachu happily snuggled against Misty before hopping off and then climbed up the tree.  Misty watched him go before pulling out a Pokeball.  “Azurill!” smiled the Polka Dot Pokémon before it noticed Pikachu and happily scampered off to join him
Misty turned to Ash.  “Jeez, what was that crash about?  You were doing quite the mileage climbing up that slope.”
“Er, yeah… I was just really trying to get up it.”
“My fault for stopping in the middle of the road anyways.”
“Don’t blame yourself.  I wasn’t really paying attention anyhow.”
“Well, what happened, happened.  So, it’s been a while since we last saw each other!  I didn’t expect to find you here.  What were you even doing?”
Ash scratched the back of his neck wearily with his other arm before he decided on, “I just wanted to take a ride, get out of the house, y’know.”
“Heh, I get that,” smiled Misty.  “It’s so boring to be couped up in doors.”
“Not least when there’s a whole world out here to explore.”  Ash paused but decided against spilling his heard over his present concerns.  “It’s more fun to be out and about.  Routines are dull frankly.”
Misty didn’t reply, so Ash continued.  “So what brought you this way?  You’re quite a ways away from Cerulean.”  He hadn’t noticed before where they were.
“Ash, we’re outside Cerulean City,” said Misty blankly.
“…”
“We’re near Rifure Village, it’s near the city.  A district if you will.”
“Oh, I see… Um, what are you doing here then?” said Ash.
“An elderly man here makes my Cascade Badges.  I needed a fresh supply.”  She pulled out a case and revealed the blue teardrop items.  “See?”
“Huh, I had no idea.”
Misty chuckled as she stuffed them back into her backpack.  “It’s not the sort of thing that every Trainer would know.  Just nitty-gritty stuff that Gym Leaders have to.  Anyways, what have you been up to?  Last time I saw ya was in Alola.  Mrs. Ketchum says you’re a research-something!”
Ash’s eyes lit up.  “A Research Fellow as Professor Cerise puts it.  Me and a friend, Goh, go out around the region and abroad to get data on Pokémon.  It’s a lot of fun.  I could show you some of the footage I’ve been able to get.”
“Oh, dude, yes please!”
He pulled out his phone and showed the various things he and Goh had captured for the Professor.  She asked all sorts of questions and Ash did his best to answer them.
“Wow, that’s awesome, Ash,” said Misty after a while.  “I bet you love this job.”
“I do!” said Ash as he pocketed the device.  “Always fun to get up close and personal with all sorts of Pokémon!”
“Pika!”
“Even better than training to become a Pokémon Master…?” smiled Misty smugly.
Ash glared at her.  “Yeah right!  I still have becoming a Pokémon Master on my mind.  I intend to beat the current best Trainer in the whole world Leon someday you know.”
“Good to know some things stay the same with ya, which is a relief,” laughed Misty as she hugged her legs, feeling up her kneecap.  The comment struck Ash as odd but refused to think further of it.  “I assume that you’re not working right now?”
“Yeah, Professor Cerise put me on a two-week vacation,” said Ash quietly.  “He won’t listen to me even when I said I’m fine.  Something about being officially banned from the job.  So I’ve been spending time back home in Pallet Town.”
“What do you make of all the developments that have been going on there lately?”
“I’m not a fan of it, to be honest,” replied Ash flatly.  “Makes the place seem less like the hometown I knew once.”
“Yeah, it sort of makes the place a bit too cramped.  Haven’t seen it myself in-person but I heard it’s quite the big change.”
Ash grimaced and huffed a sigh.  “It’s a change for the worse if you ask me.  I got quite the shock when I saw it.”
“I can imagine it would be if you weren’t expecting it at a place like home.”
“It wasn’t just Pallet Town that changed either,” sighed Ash.  “Not long ago I found out Clemont and Serena have been married for a while.  I was surprised because it turned out that I’d missed the announcement about his proposal to her and then after that I found out about…”  And Ash continued from there, spilling to her all his recent revelations that had caught him off guard and all the anxieties it gave him.
He hadn’t intended to open to her about it, she was, after all, one of those things he was anxious about.  Yet somehow knowing he was saying it to her made him feel like he could.  He could get his thoughts across with ease.
“…so, Gary and this Leaf girl were getting married, and no one thought to inform you about it – is that right?” Misty asked slowly.
“Yeah.”
“Damn.  That…that is rough.  I’m sorry to hear that happened.”  She paused and considered for a moment.  “I understand how you feel.  Daisy just ran off a few years ago because a family friend was getting married, and I wasn’t told either.  Still, though, crap like this happens a lot, and we just tend to miss out on it.”
“I…I know,” he sighed.  “I just…I don’t…I don’t mind that all of these things happen.  Serena, May, they can get with whoever they want.  I just…”  He struggled to find his words but couldn’t.
“You just…?”  She raised an eyebrow; unsure what Ash was thinking.  “I mean…they don’t need to tell us everything.”
“I know that.  I just don’t like how I’m only told about it afterwards.  It feels like none of my friends or family want to tell me anything.  Like me knowing stuff is just an afterthought.”  At that moment tears began to well in his eyes. “I just feel…lonely.”
“Like you don’t matter?”
“Like being left behind,” he muttered as he knocked his head into his knees.
Misty slowly nodded.  “I see.  That…that’s understandable.  It’s a real crappy feeling, isn’t it?  I get it, I totally get it…”  She stretched her hand toward the sky as some Pidgeys flew ahead. “It’s like a feeling of contentedness standing in a peaceful flower field, and then – BOOM – a stampede of Pokémon just storm through, ruining the peace and it throws us for a loop and it’s ugly and it makes us uncertain.  Like a Pokémon battle and never once are we sure if we’ll win the battle or not but it’s so close yet so unattainable.”  Ash gave the slightest of smiles in amusement at the analogy which Misty was pleased to see.  “And it sucks, and I get feeling upset but at the same time I wouldn’t call it the worst thing ever and that it means the people around us are leaving us behind.”
“Then what would you call it?” said Ash as he turned to look at her.  His countenance confused and still looking hurt.  “It still feels weird not to be told or given a heads up about marriage or rebuilding a house.”
“There’s always more to it than that.  It’s not uncommon that people don’t always say every little detail about their lives and relationships, it’s upsetting but it’s not a bad thing.”
“It’s not?”
“No, cause everybody’s an individual, and sometimes there are things they’re going through and focusing on that we have no input on whatsoever.”  They both turned to watch their Pokémon playing on the grass in front of them.  “Life’s just stupid like that and we’re all just playing catch up with it.”
He paused to consider what she said.  It made sense even though he couldn’t fully grasp it just yet.  “Yeah, I guess so.  Still sucks.”
“Understandable,” she replied.  “Here’s my advice and I wish I could say I follow this precisely, but I can’t. Regardless, I’d encourage you to keep a more active presence in everyone’s lives.  That’s the best way to establish that you want consistent involvement with their lives.”
“Does…it work like that?”
“Absolutely.” She paused and then shrugged before throwing two Pokeblocks at Azurill and Pikachu.  “Or at least in theory.  I do the same with my sisters and a few of our friends but things with the Gym have been so busy this year because of the League that I haven’t always been able to keep up with everyone.”
“Mm,” said Ash as a cheeky grin emerged.  “Well, that explains your lack of any social media presence.”
“Oh, lay off it!” she replied with a benign slap to his right shoulder.
Ash couldn’t help but pretend to be wounded.  “Ow.  Help, I’ve been mortally injured!”  The two laughed at their antics.  “No, but seriously, Misty,” Ash went on.  “Does what you say work?”
Misty smiled.  “I can’t guarantee anything, but it’s a start.  Keep your head up high, Ash Ketchum.  You just need to have a bit more courage to say what you feel and I’m sure our friends will respond to those feelings.”
“Thanks,” he replied.  He then noticed her going into her backpack before pulling out some snacks and offered some to him.  “So,” he said with some crackers still in his mouth, “things have been really busy at the Gym, huh?”
“Yeah, the League’s got more and more Trainers registered than ever before.  I’ve been busy with matches and then having to do all the maintenance.  Then couple that with me being involved in the business side and the occasional on-stage performances of shows for Daisy and Lily and that’s me tuckered out every week.  Not to mention all my personal affairs.”
“Mm, I get it.”  The last thing she said worried Ash.  Hearing ‘personal affairs’ sounded like code for something more going on in her life.  “Not to mention all your recent TV appearances, right?”  Misty’s face was slightly shocked before she smiled at the observation.  “Must be tough being one of Kanto’s internationally known beauties, right?”
Misty’s face went scarlet and hid it in her hands.  “You jerk!” she squeaked playfully.
“Hey, I’m not the one who referred to herself like that.”
“Says the self-proclaimed Pokémon Master,” she replied as she peaked out of her cupped hands.
“Only I don’t let it get to me.”
“Touche.  Though I will say, it’s sort of been paying off.  A magazine recently asked if I’d pose for them in their new line of swimsuits.”
Ash stared and felt himself going red.  “Y-you’re a swimsuit model?”
“An amateur really.  I don’t think I have the bravery to really do it for long.  Though doing so has opened me up to new people and connections, so that’s nice.”
“Bet that’s been making you popular.”
“Yeah…as if I wasn’t already popular enough as a Gym Leader.  Blood connections to the Cerulean Sisters and now this.  I’m sure you’re popular too as Alola’s first champion but as a girl…I get a lot of unwanted attention.”
Ash nodded awkwardly.  “Yeah, I…I bet.”  An awkward silence followed.  It was followed by an uncomfortable thought.  “So, popular as a girl now, eh?  A…first for you, in a way.”
“I do recall complaining about that when we journeyed together.  It’s sort of fun now that I’m reaping the benefits.”
“I bet,” said Ash as he turned away.  Her smile sent a weird feeling into his heart.  “A lot’s been happening for you like everyone else.”
“Yeah, a lot of changes.  Of course, I never meant to keep it a secret.  All of its recent and I’ve just been too tired to address it online.”
“Understandable,” replied Ash.  There was still one burning question for him, however.  “Hey Misty, do you have a boyfriend?”
He said it calmly and without feeling, but deep-down Ash’s heart raced with hesitation.  “I don’t,” she replied.
“Oh,” he said.  He wanted to be surprised but he held his reaction down, he didn’t want to say it outright, “I’m surprised.”
“I haven’t had the time to with all my duties.  Besides, I haven’t really found the right one just yet.”  Ash blinked slightly as he found the syntax odd and gave an ‘oh.’  “You’re asking me because of the whole things with all our friends getting together and stuff, right?” Misty went on.
“Yeah.”
“Well,” she said slowly as she looked at him, “there’s no need to worry about me dropping that kind of bombshell on you anytime soon, Ash.  I just haven’t found my soulmate yet.  Maybe one day…” she added wistfully.  She stood up and stretched, rubbing her knee.  Ash stood up too.  “Right, just about recovered… I should be getting home now.”
He watched her walk toward her bike as Pikachu ran up and onto his shoulder.  “Hey!” he called.  “Are you opening up the Gym when you get there after all the traveling you’ve been doing?”
Misty looked back at him as she raised her bike.  “Always excited about a Gym battle, aren’t you?  No, truth be told I’m too tired to accept a challenger.  I was just planning on checking in, eat lunch, and spend the rest of the day off.  Why?”
His fingers twitched slightly as he felt sweat forming on his palm and forehead.  “I-if you’re not busy then – um…would… would you consider going on a date with me?”
“Eh!?”
“Pikapi!”
“Uh.” Ash faltered.  The words had come out before he’d even time to properly think about it.  He racked his brain in confusion when his stomach growled.  “Well – er – see I-I was just wonderin’ if you’d like to go and have lunch with me a-and seeing as we’re a boy and girl I thought it’d be weird if it wasn’t classed as a…date.”  He never wanted to disappear any more in his life!
“U-um…y-yeah – sure.  W-we can do that.”
“Huh?” Now Ash was just left staring at her and raised his hands halfway, shaking nervously.  “Y-you’re sure?”
“Yes.  I said yes, we can go do that.  You’re hungry, I’m hungry.  Your logic works out in this instance,” she said calmly, despite her red cheeks.
Soon they were biking enroute to Cerulean City.  Ash was in a daze as he followed behind.  Still not quite sure if he was having a dream.
“By the way,” called Misty from up front, “since you dubbed this a date, you know that you’re paying for me, right?”
“Er, yeah, that’s fine by me,” replied Ash.  He paused and just allowed the sound of bike gears moving with the crunching of their tires on the dirt path to fill his ears.  “Hey,” he said after a few seconds, “erm, why’d you agree to going on a date with me…?”
“Just because,” she replied.  “I mean, we’re not total strangers…and – well – why not?  Could be fun if it’s a date.”
“Oh.”  Ash went silent then.  He wasn’t sure but he certainly felt a lot better than he had that morning.
OoOoO
Before Ash was a large seaside fairground.  A large Ferris wheel at the end of a pier, food stalls, fairground games, and a menagerie of other attractions laid out in front of him.
“Wow,” he exclaimed as Misty walked up alongside after storing away their stuff.  “When did this show up?”
“A few years ago,” she replied as they walked along.  “I think you were in Kalos when they finished.  It really doesn’t take too much time to set one up, or so they say.”
“I think I remember seeing something like that in Hoenn.  Me, Brock, May, and Max watched one being set up in a matter of hours.”
“Hey, look at you exercising your memory on something like that!” smiled Misty.
“Oh shush.”  Eventually Ash set his sights on a dried Slowpoke Tails frying place.  “How about here?”
“I love Slowpoke Tails!” she exclaimed.  She gave him a sly look.  “I guess we think alike.”
“Um…” Ash and Pikachu blinked with wonder before smiling.  Misty had already eaten five orders of Slowpoke Tails.  Now Ash and Pikachu weren’t entirely better at seven between them, but this was flabbergasting.
“Can I have one more?” she asked.
Ash blinked out of his stupor. “Sure thing.”  He was about to go do so but then he saw that Misty hadn’t bothered with a slop of sauce on her cheek.  He was going to tell her about it but then remembered that technically this was a date.  “Hold still for me.” And gently used a napkin to wipe it off.
“Oh. Thank you,” she said kindly.
“You’re welcome,” he smiled.  “Although it wasn’t a bad look.  Shows you enjoyed the food.”
“Um, okay…”  Ash was taken aback by the sudden glare she was giving.  “Weird thing to say to a girl on a date.”
“Uh, well, s-see… I-I didn’t mean it like… Well!” stammered Ash, but Misty merely giggled.
“Ha!  You’re fine.  You’re fine!  Let’s just write it off as the joke you probably meant it as,” she said with a wink.
“Yeah, ha ha…”  Ash rubbed the back of his head in embarrassment whilst Misty just smiled.
He got her her extra helping, and soon both made a mess of their respective trays.  “Gosh, you and Pikachu look ridiculous!”
“ME?!  How about a mirror, Mist?”
“At least I didn’t get any on my shirt.”
“Huh…?  GAH!”  He rubbed at the stain furiously! Misty, Azurill, and Pikachu couldn’t help but laugh.

Moot appreciation
Tumblr media
This is part one of many moot appreciation post I am doing! I was planning on doing this on June but an early start won't hurt~
I want to say that everyone here is just so amazing and all my moots are wonderful and overall just, so sweet and supportive. And even if you aren't one of my mutuals, you are a friend. Once you interact with me, in any way shape or form, you are my friend.
Tumblr media
➤ Eve – @edengarden /@eve-babbles
Hey bubs! It’s a bit of a surprise that I made this, huh? Especially since I told you about what is happening. I ain’t leaving, yet, anyway. I just wanted to make this <3
Neways, thank you really, you made it easier to smile. You were there for me even if I may seem ~ clingy ~ but oh well, that’s who I am. And you still stayed with me. So yeah, thank you so much! I really love you. You were always caring about me, worrying about me, and it’s nice. For once I didn’t need to continue a conversation alone or have that sense of insecurity whenever we talked.
You taught me self-value
➤ Lia – @liamiya
Hehe, Hai <3 Been a while huh?
I just wanna say how much I love our conversation. Even if we don’t talk often, it still really fun to talk to you. And even if we talked again, it feels like we just continued off from where we left off.
Thank you for that! It was comforting. Since it’s hard for me to talk to people, just having a conversation is hard to maintain. And yet with you, it’s always so easy and it flows nicely. We should really talk more!! I love your company.
You taught me that socializing isn’t all that scary
➤ Ate Bianca – @mirakeul
Hai Ate!!! Sana naman okay na po kayo<3
I wanted to say on how much you inspire me. Like seriously, I’ve been tailing your account for a long time. I think you are one of the first I followed here. And also the first Filipino writer I’ve encountered and it really inspired me. Because well, I am guilty of hating my heritage :DD but I don’t now! I love being a Filipino and you just solidified and supported that.
You taught me to be proud of who I am
➤ Jennie – @cerise-jolie-jennie
Hey hey!
You know, you are so amazing. Like seriously, I already told you that in pm but I can’t stress it enough. I mean, you are so strong and still fighting. Like how do you do it? Pfft, it’s just wow, just a role model. You take opinions like a champ even if they hurt you, somehow you still look so, cool? If you know what I’m saying. And even the interactions you have with my character blog really cheers me up.
You taught me to stay strong
➤ Ky – @aghashiii
Hai~
Ky, babes, you’ve helped me so much throughout the time I was here and I’m not even sure you know it. Your writing is amazing and you are just wonderful. We don’t talk a lot but you really are an inspiration <3 Like legit, I can’t even put it into words on how much you inspire me and just ugsjdhgadhsd And like I heard about what you’ve been through, saw a lot of hate anons, and you still continue writing and being yourself
You taught me to continue being myself
➤ Aiko – @alohablue
Hai bubs <3 I know you are in a semi-hiatus and probably won’t see this but I’m placing it here anyway
Our little interactions really help me throughout my day. It made me smile and laugh even if it isn’t funny. Whenever I interact with you it feels as if I’m back to how I was before, which is a good thing. I’m back to the times where making friends were easy and well not scary or anxious. It’s refreshing
You taught me that meeting new people is exciting again
