ferrari has two of the most brilliant drivers of this era, with a competitive car, with a massive supportive fanbase, with every single thing you need for winning a championship title. and what in the earth are they doing instead? fucking it all up, disappointing fans, and turning this whole brand and it’s history into a shitty joke. and i hate that, i hate watching this sport knowing i’ll turn off the tv either crying or wanting to punch mattia binotto in the face every weekend. it hurts, because i loved ferrari so much when i got into f1 and even before that. i gladly told everyone how much i love ferrari. i was proud of ferrari. but now? i only love Charles and Carlos. i’d like to say i love ferrari, but it’d be a lie. i feel guilty when i look at all the stuff i have with the prancing horse on it. i feel guilty cause i always wear them with pride. i feel bad for Charles. i feel bad for Carlos, too. because they deserve the world and more importantly, they could bring back the glory people once associated with ferrari and everything the team was back then. the red flames, the burning passion, those red beasts of machinery, next to the biggest names of motosport. the feeling of being a part of something so big, so gorgeous, with so much history and fairytale-ish victories. ferrari means that. and not screwing up their drivers’ careers and mental health with all this shit. i’ve never seen Charles being so frustrated and angry at himself before, and i will continue to blame ferrari for it. he shouldn’t be screaming on the radio and locking himself in his apartment for days. i felt like i might throw up when Carlos said ‘people were very mean to me’ because ferrari constantly fucks up strategy and some fans think it’s his fault. no it’s not. they have nothing to do with it. they are just chasing their dreams, doing their job, trying their best. and even with a few mistakes they could’ve achieved something. one of them could’ve won the championship easily. they both have the potential. instead, we’re sitting here, watching them covering their faces with their hands, devastated, blaming everything on themselves. and to be honest i still want to support ferrari. i still want to see Charles winning that title for his loved ones and for himself, in that red car. i still want to see Carlos glowing and smiling on the podium, soaked in champagne, too. and i’m still supporting ferrari. i’m just sad. very sad.

thinkin about how when they were kids quinn and jack used to tell their dad when he was being too hard on luke after hockey games and how tocchet said he knew quinn was ready to be captain because quinn kept telling him he was being too hard on guys during games.......... our boy has been training his whole life for this

the reason why red team wins isn’t because they submit tasks last minute. that isn’t even the biggest part of their strategy, so let me tell you what red is doing to win:

delegating tasks: each member has spent most of their time collecting whatever resource the team needs. they work together to come up with specific goals (eg. enchantment table, mining iron, getting string) and then send specific people out to do that task, usually whoever’s free at the moment

helping each other: they would all drop everything at a moment’s notice to help a teammate in trouble

sharing resources: red team shares literally everything they own. most notably, bings and personal quest items

personal tasks: they all help each other out to finish these, and they make sure everyone active gets them done. i think a good chunk of their points come from this category actually, since the other teams don’t seem to prioritize it as much

not seeking fights: ok sure, they’ve gotten in a decent amount of fights, but usually the fight comes to them. they aren’t spending their time searching for people to kill, rather most of their kills have been from running into others in the wild or at spawn (foolish did spend time looking for tina today, but that was mostly looking for blue base as a strategic point)

using time wisely: to kind of add onto the point above, they aren’t spending all their time walking thousands of blocks to others’ bases. they also are very communicative about how much time they have left and what to use it for. they’ll ask how they can help the team with their last ten minutes, for instance

communicating: red team spends almost their entire time on the server in a vc together. I know this isn’t exactly every creator’s thing, but they could still type in chat if they didn’t want to talk. red team have even been leaving discord messages to their teammates to tell them info when they’re not online!

varying their points: i think this is the most important thing tbh. instead of only focusing on tasks or kills, etc. they do a little bit of every. they make sure to do well in every possible point category

being silly: it’s the best part!! the silliness boosts team morale

seriously though, the red team doesn’t just sweep the win at the last minute. if that was true then they wouldn’t log in until the last ten minutes. all the active members spend their 5 hours (or however long they’re playing that day) working on gathering materials and being useful for the team. the only advantage they have from being online later is they know how many points they need to get to catch up. so they can sort of measure how many kills or resources they’d need, etc. but knowing what they need doesn’t guarantee they’ll get it. the red team puts a lot of hard work into their wins it’s not just a cheap sweep. they are clever, resourceful, and strategic

there were over 50 scenes cut, nearly all of which were under 3 seconds long.

between all of season one and two, only 4 scenes were cut. in contrast, every episode except two of season 4 had content cut.

hey! as the first season of connor bedard gets underway i, your local indigenous hockey fan, have a request of you: please don't let this kid's sure to be marvellous and jaw-dropping rookie season make you complacent with the racism of the blackhawks as an organization. it is beyond heinous that they were able to secure the first overall pick this year for a number of reasons i'm sure we're all familiar with, but i am pleading with the hockey community not to let the racism of this org fall through the cracks.

they drafted connor bedard and handed him a jersey with a giant racist caricature on the front. their mascot is named tommy hawk. they continuously fail to curtail their fans' egregious displays of anti-indigenous racism at games.

i'm not going to ask anyone not to post about bedard. i know he's huge news and i'm bummed as all hell that i won't be able to enjoy the beginning of what is sure to be an incredible career myself. but i am asking, given that his presence on the team is likely to increase the prevalence of people making and reblogging posts about the blackhawks, that you please care, loudly and actively, about the racism of this organization and how much it hurts indigenous fans to see that go unquestioned so often.

consider mentioning it in posts. consider amplifying the voices of indigenous fans and community members about the issues of these types of sports organizations. consider reading up on the history of the person they claim to 'honour' with their hideous effigy of a logo. consider censoring the logo in your posts if you are able to (please do this if you are able to). consider tagging posts so that indigenous fans are at the very least able to blacklist that team and not have to see it.

above all, please just. don't forget about it. don't forget about us. we belong here too.

the way cole makes varric conflicted is so delicious i think. most of the characters are uncomfortable around him because they're genuinely terrified of demons and the fade and magic in general but varric is a completely different case. the thing is, he doesn't see cole as a demon at all because he doesn't want to.

he acts like he doesn't care about this stuff. that's a little weird kiddo around here and he wants to befriend him. teach him something even. why not. that's a little guy who's a little too good with knives and can't pick up a single social clue at the same time.

but there it is. the "he could have been a person" line if cole is made more spirit. varric is so upset about it because it's not like he saw cole as, well, a spirit who got a little too human. for varric, he was a human first, a weird kid second. the spirit part didn't even come into consideration because. well. it would make him question things. you know where it goes.

every time he starts bitching about anders he brings up justice. justice drove him mad. justice took over him. justice this, justice that. justice is a scapegoat because the thought that someone varric was friends with was actually willing to blow up the chantry and it wasn't just some evil demon's wish is a very unsettling one. varric's friends may be crazy but they're cool and make no irreversible life decisions of that extent, don't they? blondie turned out this way because he let a demon possess him and make him do terrible things. completely out of the blue.

it's either varric's ex-friend has never been driven crazy by some inherently evil entity and there was a whole other person around him all along and that anger he used to mock was coming from the same place as compassion's urge to become a killer or that little weird but kind kid he started to care about has never been and will never be a real kid. he can't have both. a bitter pill to swallow for someone who has never picked a side in his life
