Trans women are intentionally misgendered, threatened and called pedophiles, and are the targets of callout/vague posts every single week in here. It's not "just staff and terfs"

Since February 19th: Tumblr's CEO, photomatt, made a statement about predstrogen's (unfair) termination, misgendering her and threatening to call the FBI on her (archived screenshots). Then, on February 20th: he continued to harass Rita on Twitter

Following this, multiple other trans women were terminated due to their criticism of staff's and photomatt's handling of this situation, like: milf-adjacent, catgirldick, nebulaaaaaa, jammerjenny, yaoivriskaforever, 8millionsystem, trans-kitty-meow, mozzarella-firefox, rulerofpurple, gay-satan-3, catgirlpunishedshaft

On February 21st: dykemacabre accused Kara (a member of Cohost's staff) of being a pedophillic furry and a lolicon, blaming her for allowing "cub porn" on the platform, which was a lie; the site doesn't allow that, and the post was quickly proven to be intentionally misleading. After being caught, dykemacabre apologized for part of the post, but doubled down, later deactivating

On February 27th: ardourie (formerly known as neotrances, well-known transmisogynist) began harassing enemy-viv over a post about Aaron Bushnell's online identity (like his username and use of pronouns on YouTube/Reddit/Discord,) which lead to people accusing Viv of "transvestigating" Aaron's online presence (while misusing that word) and spreading lies about Viv. She deactivated due to the harassment and has stated that she won't come back

On March 8th: roadhogsbigbelly (who accused txttletale [January 10th] and Gretchen Felker-Martin [February 1st] of being pedophiles) doubled down several times while arguing with different people about "not misgendering" a trans girl (after vagueing her), while misgendering her multiple times

This happens every week

Almost every single week there is a new callout, a new harassment campaign, new anons spreading rumours/misinformation, and more people comfortably vagueing and misgendering trans women

It's not just staff and terfs

but being genuine & not jokey for a second you Need to make yourself a safe person for transfems. every time you support the witch-hunt of a trans girl you are signaling to every other trans girl you know that you will ruin their life if they say something you don't like. you have to put aside kneejerk disgust reactions and simply block people if they post something that upsets you. this is not worth risking their safety

It really takes nothing to set people to harass trans women, endlessly. We really get to be everyone's favorite go-to monster/abuser/etc. for the crimes of having thoughts, desires, and the worst of the bunch: expressing them. And racism, as clearly no trans woman can be anything but white of course, and every white trans woman is obviously using her identity as a shield. Just gotta follow expectations: make ourselves small and never say anything, or be good and turn on other trans women to tear them to shreds when tme folks ask, then we'll be safe right?

sorry for being snide but i had to. anyway sure she's Literally talking about the robots but doylistically what are the robots there for. what do they represent. AND even if it IS talking about ai replacing jobs that's still like. well if robots CAN do these jobs (and they're not like. making art or writing books. they're packing boxes.) then why shouldn't they. WHY do humans have to work. "real people need real jobs" why though. why do these people have to waste their lives on a moon, never seeing their families, mostly in isolation, not really allowed to talk to their coworkers or make friends, having to wear house arrest bracelets…… why is this good. why is this a better society than if humans didn't have to do all of this and instead could do things they Want to do for the betterment of humanity. even if it is trying to critique specifically ai and not capitalism itself (which i'm really not convinced it is) then it still ends up being an extremely pro capitalist story.

i actually don't care if this or that tgirl who was called out is, in fact, dangerous because the medium of the Callout isn't an effective vehicle for dealing with genuinely dangerous people in your spaces to begin with. it is a vehicle first and foremost for abuse, rumor milling and social murder, and any dangerous individual who's caught in the process is a matter of pure coincidence, not a result of the system working as intended. also i think the best way to make sure that abusive or predatory people get worse and even more dangerous is to socially isolate them and cut them off from anybody who could challenge them to change and own up to their actions. i don't support prisons for the same reason

when somebody has to preface their self-professed callout doc with “by the way i don’t belong to a hategroup, nor do i hate minorities” you know they’re gonna be trustworthy and worth listening

like obviously this is the most barefaced transmisogynistic harassment campaign this website has seen in a while (and that's saying something) but like. the doc is claiming to just "ask for accountability" etc but even if i thought i had done something wrong what am i supposed to do? like apologise for some of my thousands of followers being shitty people? spend every waking moment of my life vetting the dozens of new followers im getting daily? like, their only goal is humiliation & harassment. there is no other purpose for it. it's literally very openly saying "we are only doing this obvious targeted sexual harassment campaign because of some stupid tumblr poll a few weeks ago" like it literally says as much in the document.
