‣ bipolar
Tumblr media
𝓟airing ↳ 42!Miles Morales X F!Reader
𝓘𝓷 𝔀𝓱𝓲𝓬𝓱 .. just a girl in the world who misses her ex.
𝓦arnings .. angst , short story
𝓐uthor's note .. i'm back!! the story is based off the song bipolar by peso pluma
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
prometi que iba a olvidarte,
i promised that i was going to forget you
You listened along to that line, thinking about him as Peso Pluma was singing that. How ironic.
You and Miles broke up 2 months ago.
After the break up, you tried focusing on yourself, your grades, and your friends. After all, you're only 16.
But when it's late at night, you think about the night he broke up with you.
Tumblr media
You both had just went back home after a long day of hanging out with each other. Laughing and having a good time.
He suddenly got quiet. His face looked more serious. You noticed this, so you asked him if something was wrong.
"Hey, are you okay?" You rested your hand on his back.
He was silent again.
"I'm.." He didn't finish his sentence. It looked like he couldn't bring himself to say the rest of the words.
"You're..?" You chuckled a bit, but inside you were worried. Scared.
..
"I'm breaking up with you."
Those words.
You felt like you just got stabbed. Your stomach was turning. He said it with such a calm voice. The same voice that would say 'I love you.'
Your hand went back into your lap. You gulped. What were you supposed to do? Or say?
"Wh-" You stopped yourself. If you opened your mouth again, you would only burst into tears.
You took deep breaths. Your heart was racing. Was it something you did? What did you do? You thought you were the perfect girlfriend.
Slowly, tears were running down your face. You were starting to ruin your makeup. But you quickly wiped them off.
"Is it something I did?" You said, your voice being shaky.
"I'm sorry." Was he being serious? That's all he could say right now? He had to be kidding.
The silence in between the two expanded. You suddenly got up, getting your stuff from his room. Miles watched your every move. He saw you grabbing the plushies you bought him. The basket that you gave him for Valentines. The necklace and bracelet he gave you was now placed on his desk.
He walked into the room as you were still looking around. "You aren't gonna try to fight for us?" He asked. You paused. What?
"There's no way you just asked me that question." You couldn't even turn around to look at him in the eyes. "I'm bein' deadass."
"I'm not going to try and fight for someone who clearly wants nothing to do with me now." You stood on business.
But you wish you had said more.
pero me fallé, yo te volví a buscar
but i failed, i looked for you again
You did, you tried looking for Miles in every new guy that you met. None of them worked out, cause you just ended up ghosting them anyways. You felt so guilty trying to look for the right man when you know the one that you want the most is Miles.
porque por las noches yo fui débil
because at night i was weak
You couldn't help yourself but to stalk him again on another account. He hasn't been posting much. Maybe it's because he misses you too and he's sad? No. Don't be delusional. But.. what if?
y no puda evitar llamar a tu celular
and i couldn't avoid calling your phone
You went to your contacts to see his as 'my stinky boyfriend 💙❤️‼️' You couldn't change it, You always felt like you can still have another chance. You stared at the call button.
Ugh, fuck it. You brought the phone up to your ear as it was ringing. A few rings were heard and then it stopped. He didn't answer. (but that's what you thought.)
perdón, no lo sabes
sorry, you don't know
Then you heard a familiar voice. "Hello?" The deep, raspy voice that made you literally melt. "Miles?" You responded, with the biggest fucking smile on your face. "Y/N?" You heard him scoff a bit. "Why are you calling me?" You sighed, you were silent. After what seemed like forever, you finally said something,
pero yo te quiero con el corazón
but i love you with my heart
"I miss you Miles." Your stomach was turning. Why'd you say that? Oh my gosh. Fuck. He's silent.
"Yeah.. I-.."
"I miss you too, mami." You smiled. Your cheekbones started hurting. You almost started crying.
"Really?"
"Yeah."
"Can I come over?" You looked down at your clothes, then to your hair in the mirror. You sighed, "Yeah."
te quiero con el corazón.
i love you with my heart.
You waited for a bit to hear the rhythmic knock on your window. You immediately went to the window and opened it to see his face. He smiled at you and went inside your room. You didn't say anything, just stayed silent and admired each other. Even though you looked like total shit. He then hugged you, long and hard. You missed his touch. You melted into his lean body and smelled that cologne he always wears. You missed this.
"Gosh, you don't know how much I missed being with you." You whispered. You were both then looking into each other's eyes and your eyes were a bit teary. "Oh, trust me, I can tell." He joked as he was hearing the song playing. You both laughed.
The night ended well, and the morning was even better, feeling his strong arms around you.

“𝐞𝐥𝐥𝐚 𝐛𝐚𝐢𝐥𝐚 𝐬𝐨𝐥𝐚.”
canonverse hange x vaquera latina fem reader
contents: canonverse hange x vaquera latina fem reader. Hange uses they/them pronouns and it’s canonverse (except THEY DIDNT DIE aye 🤪🩷). the song is the name of the title Ella baila sola - peso pluma. You’re welcome <3 @euphofic @hqkalon @zarihaaa @abbyslev @luffyinlove @noawithlove @ecstasysdomain @hangeslovers-world @hangespublicist @strawberrystepmom @sanjisblackasswife @roronoaswifey @kazushawty @honeybleed @mommypieck @satocidal @chocolatetheoristcloud @yeagerzprettyblnt @br4tphobia @cottonconnielvr @14thcommander @hoshigaby
osita chisme : okay but I can I love hange so much so I wanted to make a comfort one shot because I’m so greedy to be comforted by this mf. And this song will always have a place in my heart
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
When Hange noticed you you were just dancing, it’s around the time they set place for camp. From the war with Marley. Let’s just say it’s been terrible that hange needed a fucking miracle. The outfit our beautiful y/n was wearing her hair down. The main star of the show. Hange needed a break. They need the time to grieve. Hange has caught your eye, as you caught theirs.
You were just in your moment being a shining star being so kind as ever wearing some gold jewlery, super subtle, but it’s perfect. “You look like shit.” Levi will look at Hange, and sip his glass. It’s obvious Levi does care about his colleagues, especially Hange. Since Hange was there for him when he lost his original squad. Hange scoffs and sighed looking at Levi. “Is it that obvious??” They asked him.
“Yeah too obvious.” Your pearly whites were being seen. And hange holds their one finger up. Starting at you with their one eye through their glasses. And their one eye. Watching you spin in circles with a group of friends , and then stomp with your shoes. Then making your way to another table as the song ends. Where both of you make eye contact that felt like hours upon hours. you pass by their table. for this song playing, you ran to your friend in the corner drinking some beer cheering apparently it was girls night.
You my dear were the one that stood out from your friend group. Hange looks over at your friend group watching y’all. Hange has amazing eyesight for real, even at night it’s super sharp as well as sun set. They locked eyes with you. And there you were screaming and laughing happily. As you’re just hysterical.
“You’re staring at her…” Levi clears his throat. Already seeing where this is going. “Pft no Im not.” Hange snaps out of it snorting and fails at trying to covering up what they’ve been doing “okay yeah I was.” They sighed rubbing their temples. “But she’s so beautiful.”
“Yes but doesn’t she look a little bit young?” Levi interjects, as Hange rolls their eyes. “To hell with it, let’s just hope she’s in her 20s.” Hange sips their glass once more as they tap their foot to the music that’s playing. Always upbeat and get going.
. And then here you come making your way to their table. Already having some plates of food. “Hiii how are y’all tonight?” You are happy as ever, a little drunk but a huge ass sweetheart.
“We’re fine thank you, and yourself?” Levi says in a calmly manner with a cheerful attitude sarcastically.
“Ehh I’m good, but I noticed y’all didn’t even make food while y’all were here.” She gave them food. In a bag. It had tacos rice and beans. Even some hot tea. She smiled blushing. “Y’all take some.” Then here you come again running back slowly and then coming to Hanges direction.
“Hi, can you dance??” Y/n asked Hange. “Well i mean i Can dance a little bit. If that counts.” Y/n is smiling happily with the face flushed grabbing Hange. “Perfect!! We’re gonna dance together!!” She held their hands and took them to the dance floor all Hange can see turning around is Levi giving a thumbs up. “You got what you wished for good luck. Shitty glasses.” Levi would smirk and watch Hange flip him off. As y/n giggled taking their hand guiding their hands to y/ns hips. As they’re one to be touchy but gotta keep composure.
With the music blasting from the band, lights flashing. And the Booze slowly kicking in. Watching your skin reflect within the light.
“Hello?!” You sang. “There you are. I thought I lost your attention for a second!!” You snickered.
“Ah sorry!” They chuckled with a slight snort. As a light flush was on their cheeks. “It’s been a long day today..” their mind blanks as they gaze and admire yet study your features, rubbing the small of your back. Pressing their glasses back up with their eyepatch. They still hate this damn look. “You were saying Miss?”
“I was asking for your name!” You smirked holding their hand caressing it with your soft smooth thumb over their calloused hands..
“Hange. Hange Zöe. The 14th commander of the Survey Corps.”they then adjust their jewled tie along with their collar.“ You can just call me Hange though” They then kissed your knuckles. “And it’s a pleasure to meet you miss..”
They question your name with a smirk crept on their face, stroking your hair. “Y/n Y/n L/n.” You’re just smiling being all innocent. after y’all had y’all’s time together dancing. They pull you aside. “Would you like to come to my tent? It’ll be much quieter away from here.”
part two coming soon

songs/artists i’d force TWST Housewardens to listen to
— Riddle Rosehearts aka Rizzle Smoulderheart
Mans would probably be like, making me study or some shit, hopefully helping me or just around me in general. And I just whip out the nasty ass phone Daddy Crowley gave me and boot up whatever version of Spotify there and bat my eyes at Riddle saying, “Oh, music helps me focus more when studying!” When we all know that is a full on lie.
So he would be around or something and I would just start blasting the most inappropriate music ever. Probably something like Man Areas or Squidwards Nose. One of those, y’know? Just cause I think it’d be funny seeing him get all red and angry, like a raspberry.
He’d prolly yell “Off with your head” at me but that would be useless because I’m magic-less
— Leona Kingscholar aka Mr. Worldwide
Me, personally, me, personally, I’d be rockin’ to take a nap with this homie. He’d prolly hate it, but I would! And y’see, I’d come up with some bullshit that like, music helps with dreams or some shit, just anything to convince him to let me play a playlist as he sleeps.
And it’d be full of Tyler the Creator. But specifically the genre of his songs like, See You Again, What a Day, Earfquake, BEST INTEREST, songs of his like those. Now I think Leona would probably like Tyler, idk, they both have them vibes and them two my favorite men.
But yeah, I’d make him listen to Tyler, he seems like he would like at least one or two songs of his, and I sure as hell know that I would be down on my knees just to hear him sing a song.
— Azul Ashengrotto aka ‘Baka Tako’
I would literally sell my soul to him just to make him listen to every single FNAF song. It has to be FNAF. I want to get at least two or three stuck in his head, so he feels cringe and ashamed to admit liking the songs.
It would be so worth it though, seeing Azul all dripped up for Board Game Club (azul + idia club card when—) and just him humming like, Join Us For A Bite, and Idia slow head turning to him as he experiences flashbacks.
I’d be soulless for the rest of my life just to hear Azul singing Five Nights At Freddys, but god, wouldn’t that be a sight to see.
— Kalim Al-Asim aka the most nicest boy ever
I could not do anything mean to this boy, I would introduce him to like, Kali Uchis or Laufey. This man deserves all the pretty women music. I’d also just give him genuine song recommendations for like, parties too.
Maybe some like, Odetari type of music for like movin’ & groovin’. Definitely some Pitbull, Daddy Yankee, y’know all the good body mover ones. Songs that just make ya wanna swing your hips and drop it down white boy style.
Kalim is such a precious boy I would make it my life’s goal to give him all the classic bangers and new shit. Also Peso Pluma. No words. Just Peso.
— Vil Schoenheit aka the IT Girl
He scares me. I don’t want him calling my music taste ugly 😭 I’d get like, Rook to get him to listen to any of my recommendations. Or literally any one else but me. I’m sensitive :(
Anyways onto the songs/artists, ahhhh, probably K-pop. I like a lot of songs but I also heard that the dances are pretty sick too. So he can like, have fun with that. Maybe specifically like, Red Velvet, or like the BTS members but only their solo songs because I like them better like that.
Also giving him like, serious recommendations because I don’t want him to curse me if I made him listen to like a fucking Lorax song.
— Idia Shroud aka the loser gamer boy
I’m making him listen to every single Tom Cardy song I know. If there is any one in the goddamn school that could appreciate him, it would be Idia. And I wouldn’t go for the obvious choice of making him listen to Hatsune Miku because he has his little Fates idol group thing, and also because it would be too predictable.
Tom Cardy on the other hand, he is extremely unpredictable and I love him for that. Specifically showing Idia all the more funny and mainstream songs of Tom Cardy like Red Flags, Mixed Messages, and Perception Check.
Making him hum Perception Check as he beats the hell out of Azul on online Uno as Azul screeches and everytime he gets a +2 or +4 making him say ‘Nat 20 let’s fucking go’
— Malleus Draconia aka …who?
I think my more modern music taste would kill him, so I’d just give him the entire Nutcracker ballet to listen to because it is such a banger ballet, dude.
Or just ballets in general, I think he’d enjoy them in the background as he does whatever he does in his little Gargoyle club thingy.
Me and him when that beat drops in the Knights Dance from the Romeo and Juliet ballet.
{This is not at all supposed to be close to canon, this is just for funsies. I’ll prolly do the first years next…}

Guys you don't understand how funny this is, Peso Pluma (aka the dude that sings this song, you've probably heard in TikTok) he's becoming super popular here in México bc he's bringing regional Mexican music (corridos tumbados) to the mainstream bc of his more modern style, his haircut and overall his presence. Bellow, Peso Pluma, for obvious reasons the 80's mullet has been meme material.
Tumblr media
Now, I'll present you with these:
Tumblr media
This dude is totally Mike and Wills love child and I need to present this case because the resemblance is so uncanny even the long mullet and all
Tumblr media
Translation:
A: Is this dude Peso Pluma?
A: I thought it was the gay guy from Stranger Things
A: they're so lookalike.
(obviously this is humor my dudes)
And I'm leaving the best for last because this is too good, the translation is... stranger things.
Tumblr media
That's all from me today dear Bylers. Hope y'all having a great day.

XAVI- "LA DIABLA"
youtube
Ho ho ho, delightfully devilish...
[6.45]
Alfred Soto: I'm bored with devil/angel cliches, but Xavi's way with short and vowel sounds (especially with a's) and especially that fiercely strummed guitar -- oh, that guitar -- represent novelty for a moribund top twenty. Now I need to hear it on the radio. [7]
Will Adams: If nothing else, a stunning display of the numerous timbres that a guitar can produce. Bonus point for the outro where the song suddenly turns into "Iris." [6]
Nortey Dowuona: lilith is so cool u guys [10]
Katherine St. Asaph: Dudes can make profoundly undevilish songs about their supposedly devilish lovers too! [3]
Ian Mathers: Maybe I'm just not familiar enough with the nuances of this genre, but "La Diabla" feels like it has real "we've got Eslabon Armado y Peso Pluma at home" vibes to me. [7]
Jacob Sujin Kuppermann: There's something a little too theater-kid in Xavi's vocals -- he's putting something on like he's the Meat Loaf of corridos -- but the strength of the interlocking hooks here, both vocal and instrumental, is enough to overcome the slight twinge of embarrassment I get when he wails about Balenciaga. [7]
Leah Isobel: The way "La Diabla" insists of running Xavi's voice through filters on, like, every other line gives it a strangely frantic feel. I guess it's supposed to up the intensity, but it comes across as a bit try-hard. I love the minimal, melancholy outro passage, though. [6]
Brad Shoup: The strings are yanked back like a yo-yo trick, or a spider darting back into its hole: the dryness of the mix is great if you want to hear instrumental interplay. If you want any other kind, then the effect is that of someone shooting his shot with the last-call lights on. [7]
Mark Sinker: Bit lazy to unleash it twice but I will never not love the telephone-effect voice, here deployed to say “Christian Dior” in two places (for somewhat unparseable reasons). It’s usually traced back to “Yellow Submarine" in pop but I’m pretty sure that George Martin borrowed it from the Goon Show. And of course pioneer crooner Rudy Vallee often sang through an actual real megaphone, like a hundred years ago. Meanwhile Xavi isn't yet 20, and looks 12. [7]
TA Inskeep: His voice belies his years (he's not even 21 & sounds like a norteño singer some 20 years his senior), and the simple acoustic dual guitar accompaniment works in the song's favor. [6]
Taylor Alatorre: “La Víctima” minus the middle-school misogyny, so what we’re left with is a frenetic strumming pattern with inherently diminishing returns, which is just good enough for a passing score today but likely won’t be in the future, assuming there is one. [6]

Billboard USA Exclusion Zone Episode 10 (04/29/2023)
Tumblr media
This week seems to be pretty busier that one meets the eye. Yes we have some shakeups especially in the top 10 with Idol by Yoasobi surged so high. But, these debuts are just all over the place. Well it's gonna be a blast anyways so let's get to this!
----------------------------------------------------
4. "un x100to" by Grupo Frontera X Bad Bunny
You know since the regional Mexican sound is the biggest musical moment of 2023, I think I will make my stance on the broader genre of Regional Mexican sound. I get the appeal of these type of songs. Yeah it's ramshackled and the mix can be very live version of itself. But, the composition and the instrumentals here reminded me a lot of dangdut or koplo which is the Regional sound of my country. That said, I prefer the accordion one rather than the brass and acoustic bass that Peso Pluma helped popularized.
14. "Daylight" by David Kushner
So apparently this guy is a tiktoker who is making folk pop that wanted to get Hozier to be on this song. All I can say right now is that he's definitely the poor man's Bon Iver with lyrics leftover from Father John Misty's b-side
28. "Chemical" by Post Malone
This is actually quite decent. But, this song is sounded like Fine Line rejects with a bit more inspiration from Tears for Fears.
72. "Princess Diana" by Ice Spice ft. Nicki Minaj
I did listened to Ice Spice debut EP and this is handly the worst song on the album. Getting Nicki Minaj isn't helping this generic ass beat to work y'know. Also I'm kinda mad that In Ha Mood didn't get pushed hard enough.
84. "美しい鰭" by SPITZ
Now we are talking about a veteran alternative rock band getting their first hit ever on the chart. This song is so likeable this is basically why I like J-Pop more that anything else sometimes. The guitar solo is just immaculate as does the production which is I would describe as "RHCP if they chose jazz influence than rap influence".
91. "Peaches" by Jack Black
I will give the Super Mario Bros movie a 7/10 it's a great popcorn movie.
98. "Wish You The Best" by Lewis Capaldi
See this song is the prime example as to why I don't like Lewis Capaldi's writing. There's not enough detail to justify this guy's longing for someone's that he used to love. Glimpse of Us this is not.
138. "El Tonto" by Lola Indigo & Quevedo
I think I can see the differences between Spanish reggaeton and LATAM reggaeton. The main one is the differences in how it's produced. The Spanish one seems to have other influences such as the dance scene in Europe. So that's why you have those sfx sprinkle throughout it.
151. "El Tsurito" by Junior H X Gabito Ballesteros X Peso Pluma
....Huh?????? Why does this sounds like DistantCry made this beat???
157. "See You Again" by Tyler, The Creator ft. Kali Uchis
I'm so glad this song became a viral hit because this is probably one of his best singles ever. The production here has influenced RnB world till this day with the trumpet, the strings, and that heavy hard hitting beat drop. Kali Uchis' breakout performance, the longing from Tyler about his crush is just breathtaking. This is truly one of the best songs of 2017.
170. "Cruel Summer" by Taylor Swift
[Insert the "this should've been a singles" jokes here]. But like can you blame Swifties in this? This song is too good for being a deepcut. The production is probably one of Jack Antonoff's best and yeah it's a great song.
181. "Fragil" by Yahritza y Su Esencia X Grupo Frontera
Remember the trio that gotten viral for their song? Yeah they're back with Grupo Frontera with probably the weakest accordion Regional Mexican song so far.
188. "Seu Brilho Sumiu" by Israel X Rodolffo & Mari Fernandez
Now for Brazilian sound...yeah I don't really get it. I think the percussion is not my thing in general here.
189. "Moonlight" by Kali Uchis
Speaking of Kali Uchis. If the vocals were mixed a bit better this could've been a sexy jam. Instead it's just a good one.
I highly recommend everyone to listen to these songs.

Billboard USA Exclusion Zone Episode 6 (03/18/2023)
Tumblr media
Remember two or three weeks ago when I said that there's big rift or differences between Global 200 and Global Excl US chart? Well the rift is getting more obvious when you look at the chart this week where a certain country artist album bombed the Global 200. But, in this chart he only charted one song. Well let's talk about it in detail soon.
---------------------------------------------
16. "on the street" by j-hope ft. J Cole
You know J Cole has stated that his career from 2013 onward is always trying to erase "Work Out", his first charting hit, from people's memories because Nas didn't like the song. Well not only is the beat to this song is significantly worse than "Work Out", but you can't even stay on beat. I am not a fan of J Cole and even I'm disappointed in this.
42. "Shorty Party" by Cartel de Santa ft. La Kelly
This sounds like if "Therefore I Am" by Billie Eilish was 50% less good and in Spanish and the song was sung by Pop Smoke.
103. "Last Night" by Morgan Wallen
So I am in this community filled with chart nerds and music reviewers. And the running joke is always that Morgan Wallen, as much as he's one of the biggest artists in America, never charted in Global Excl US chart. Even with the album nuke that happened in Global 200, people expected that the song won't chart. But thanks to Canada and Australia, we have the first Morgan Wallen song to debut.
This song and Morgan Wallen's popularity as a whole has been a contention in the music twitter sphere because he seems to be more popular after the n word incident. This incident brings up the debate of separate the art from the artist. I hate to say it but the whole Morgan Wallen persona has always been that he's drunk asshole. So there's still lingering sense that the incident is him in the song. In Last Night too he talked about a breakup and there's a mentioned of alcohol in it. So yeah you can't really separate the art from the artist here.
But that raise another question, why is his popularity in the United States is massive despite what the stan twitter led you believe. Well the truth is most of the Morgan Wallen's listeners aren't on twitter. They're the silent majority and the silent majority is overall the most powerful listeners in America at least. And also that he has embraced streaming, it created the perfect formula for US popularity but not for worldwide.
This also proves that popular music has become more regionalized thanks to the streaming era. Just look at the stark differences between Hot 100, Canadian Hot 100, UK Official Chart, and Japan Hot 100. Yeah they might have some overlap, but most of the songs that appeared on these charts catered to those regions. This is a stark difference even just from six years ago. Definitely something to keep an eye on.
120. "Mas Rica Que Ayer" by Anuel AA, Mambo Kingz, DJ Lulan
Phew that was a lot that I have to say about Last Night. Thank god after that it'll be brief. This song is just your standard reggaeton from a guy that most Americans knew from his song with 6ix9ine.
148. "El Azul" by Junior H X Peso Pluma
The low end of this song is fucked I'm sorry. It's like there's an earthquake in the middle of a wedding.
165. "Sem Alianca no Dedo" by MC Xenon & Gemeos Da Putaria
This sounds like if Clipping circa their horrorcore era made a Brazilian song and just forgot to mix the vocal properly. Also I heard that most Brazilian songs sampled Say It Right percussion so take that as you will.
176. "Red Ruby Da Sleeze" by Nicki Minaj
You know I think that the record execs from the early 90's that sued De La Soul and Biz Markie had some points you know.
179. "El Merengue" by Marshmello ft. Manuel Turizo
I thought that Marshmello is done ruining genres across the globe? But that Despecha song is popping so here we are.
187. "M.A (Mejores Amigos)" by BM
This song is strange. It's like a mix between reggaeton, corrido, and a hints of EDM there? I'm confused
192. "Numb" by Linkin Park
At least this week's debut ended with one of the best hit songs of the 2000's.
I highly recommend everyone to check out these songs.

Billboard USA Exclusion Zone Episode 20 ++ (09/02/2023)
Tumblr media
I'm so sorry for taking another three weeks break. I was supposed to review the Travis Scott album bomb, but I really can't do album bomb week I'll be honest with you. Therefore, I'm going to limit the album bomb for at least the two highest charting songs on the album. And just for this episode, I'm gonna combined this week and the week before because I think it's at least interesting enough to talk about. No number on the chart this time so let's go on with it.
----------------------------------------------------------
"Bad Idea Right?" by Olivia Rodrigo
When the songlists from Olivia's sophomore album came out I was like "oh god she's getting too cathy with it." Well with this song I was wrong. There's a lot of witty and clever lines with the attitude of your average Gen Z that could fit in the 90's very well. I love the guitar solo too.
"MI EX TENIA RAZON" by Karol G
It's nice that we have a lot of variety in the latin music scene nowadays that we get a cumbia song by the biggest female latin pop singer still working today. Love the nods for Selena. May she rest in peace.
"QLONA" by Karol G ft. Peso Pluma
This is probably the best Peso Pluma has sounded. Who knew that when you have the best reggaeton producer working today Ovy On The Drum that you would mixed better and sounded better than any of your songs.
"Holanda" by Jhayco
Fun fact: the Dutch government has phased out the usage of Holland when calling the country Netherlands because they want other tourists to visit the other provinces. Anyways this song is alright.
"Fast Forward" by JEON SOMI
I think with how absent US is in this chart, we'll get more songs from countries and languages that I didn't listened to as much or wouldn't expect to find. Now with Kpop it's a bit different since Billboard added Melon (A South Korean music app), which means we'll get a lot of kpop songs from less well known act. Like JEON SOMI with her house influenced song that sounded not out of place from late 2019 house.
"Automotivo Bibi Fogosa" by Bibi Babydoll, Dj Brunin XM, KZA Produções
You know...it's a matter of time that the gigachad meme would be sampled...but as a Brazilian Funk song????? That's new.
"Fast Car" by Luke Combs
I think Luke Combs really filled out the space that Hootie & The Blowfish used to occupy but did it better. I think him doesn't care about charting hits is what I love about this guy. Listen to "Doin' This" y'all after you got introduced by him from this cover.
"With You" by AP Dhillon
So apparently there's too many trends happening all at once that the trend of Punjabi music from Canadian artists just flew me by and I can say that I like this trend. I grew up with a lot of Indian movies and idk something about this song really screamed modern while the vocal melody exude tradition.
"Prada" by casso ft. RAYE & D-Block Europe
This is actually my first full listen to D-Block Europe but I can tell that they don't fit in this song. Though this song is kinda hollow.
"Heeriye" by Arijit Singh, Dulquer Salmaan, Jasleen Royal
You know how I said about "With You" that the song sounds like a modern reinterpretation of an Indian movie soundtrack? Well this is like almost the exact same thing but it's actually from an Indian movies. Modern production still works within the context of Bollywood movies.
"Better Things" by aespa
The next three songs are kpop songs with some degree of intrigued. We'll start with the least intriguing one with a new song by aespa. All I can describe from this song is that it's clunky and for aespa that marketed itself with bombastic grandiose stuff, this song just doesn't do it for me.
"Killin' Me Good" by JIHYO
You know, when you are the leader of TWICE, I thought that there's more fan fare for this song. But alas this is not as successful as some people thought. Kinda unfortunate because this song slaps so hard.
"KIDDING" by ISEGYE IDOL
This is the sole reason I'm back making this episode because this is kinda momentus. This is the first time a vtuber idol group have ever charted in any Billboard chart...I think ever? Tbh separate the fact that the singers here are all vtubers...this song is just a standard Gen 3 kpop idol songs but with more higher pitch because kawaii?
"ITALODISCO" by The Kolors
Yeah this song is definitely an homage to italodisco...what I wanna to add here?
I highly recommend everyone to listen to these songs!

Billboard USA Exclusion Zone Episode 14 (06/03/2023)
Tumblr media
This week felt a bit...weird. I think it's because some of these songs are just there you know? Anyways no more wasting time let's get through this.
-----------------------------------------------------
2. "WHERE SHE GOES" by Bad Bunny
There's three big trends that has been happening over the course of the year. Regional Mexican sound going mainstream, lazy sampling, and the rise of Jersey club. Jersey club's impact so far on the global stage is basically that one Lil Uzi Vert and the remix of Players. But, now Jersey club has its biggest hit with this Bad Bunny song. I'd say that for those who wanna get into this genre, this song is a great introduction with more fuller production and the familiarity of the Bad Bunny formula with the synth and the subject matter of hostile back and forth relationship drama. Overall a great tune.
12. "Angel Pt. 1" by Kodak Black, NLE Choppa, JVKE, Jimin, & Muni Long
I'll just rank every performance here because this song is kinda boring. Muni Long = Jimin >>>> NLE Choppa >>>> Kodak Black > JVKE.
19. "Say Yes To Heaven" by Lana Del Rey
If there's one thing TikTok is good at is making deepcuts and even unreleased demo from an artist whom are still on an album cycle. It happened with The Weeknd and seems like it happened with Lana Del Rey too.
36. "TQM" by Fuerza Regida
You know I would've joked about how this song correlates with TQG but this song is generic enough even by corrido standard that I just ehhhhhhhhh.
89. "Amagura" by Karol G
I think I might like this song more than half of Manana Sera Bonito. It all came down to the vocal melody which is very nice indeed.
90. "Bite Me" by ENHYPEN
You know my friend actually love this band. So this is a perfect opportunity for me to listen to their sound. I would say that they're doing the ITZY sound but doing it 80%.
93. "America Has A Problem" by Beyonce ft. Kendrick Lamar
It's kinda nice to hear Beyonce paying homage to early southern rap with the Kilo samples. And Kendrick Lamar always love to experiment his flow with his features and this one is no different. I wish both of them have a better chemistry tbh.
100. "Mourning" by Post Malone
NOW THIS IS WHAT I WANT MISERABLE EMO POSTY TO SOUND LIKE. No but seriously if the next album sounds like this song, I think it's gonna be as great as Hollywood's Bleeding.
169. "Vagabundo" by Sebastian Yatra, Manuel Turizo & Beele
I wonder what would come after reggaeton if and when the genre will become unpopular. Seems like it's gonna be either merengue, bachata, or regional mexican sound. Honestly I would love more merengue that sounds like this.
174. "69" by Nicky Jam X Feid
Why does this song sounds like it sampled Your Mines Still by Yung Bleu? Also I think I can say that I am sick of Feid. He's very bland and his success baffled me even more than Peso Pluma this year.
182. "Novo Balanco" by VEIGH
Speaking of rising trend, I think Brazilian trap music will be the next trend worldwide I'm predicting it now.
187. "The Best" by Tina Turner
Rest in Power Tina Turner.
I highly recommend everyone to listen to these songs.
