also excuse me i wanna talk about my little mirror family so bad its not even funny. im like. because of my own inhibitions concerning family, i rarely ever plan out and embrace my characters families but these fucking guys.....

okay so as i said, we have fjord as well as kestrel 👇

the both of them were left alone for quite some time like it was JUST the two of them which is unusual since mirrors prefer to be in large packs but the clans they were born in didnt have any other mirrors. they met eachother out scavenging and it was like LOVE AT FIRST SIGHT okay like im so cheesy cuz they are cheesy in a brutal mirror way LOL so they decide to run away together after visiting a few times cuz they naturally are just drawn to other mirrors.

kestrel was unsatisfied with the glimmery landscape of the starfall isles and honestly she is just. shes a girlboss never forget that she loves to hunt loves to run, loves the thrill of surviving and making a place for herself in the environment but arcane flight is full of little fuckin NERDS so she proposed the idea to go back to where they belong. and fjord obviously loved the idea if you couldnt tell. he wasnt bored but he would follow her literally anywhere 💀

they founded their own clan there and it was quite lonely for a while. until they found tarren

despite how he may look, tarren is upbeat and jolly, and he believes that you shouldnt just survive and come out on top, you should thrive. you should be happy. fjord and kestrel honestly found him a bit annoying at first since he was so uncharacteristically chatty for a mirror, but eventually they let him stay since he knows the land better than them and is genuinely helpful

so time jump their clan is definitely not thriving but they are still alive and thats what matters. things start looking up once the other carrions come together to lead the scavengers, their clan is nursed to health and is actually functional. YIPPIE!!

except i have 2 other mirrors!!!!!!

throughout their history kestrel and fjord have tried to expand their clan and start a family but it never worked unfortunately. both were too emaciated and not adjusted to the sickly landscape they now called home. they had always been really sad about it but fjord was out scavenging one day and he was looting through some corpses to take whatever they had that they clearly didnt need anymore and he found a plague egg. clear as day, alone in the cold clutch of what he assumed to be its parent. the sight was gut-wrenching to him, and considering how badly he and kestrel had wanted children, his decision was made quickly: he would take the egg and pray that whatever was inside of it had survived whatever killed its parents.

surprise! it absolutely was and they got this girl :]

crypt!!! their adopted daughter WAHHHH !!!!

and then it gets better, they actually managed to have an egg a few years after crypt hatched

adder!!

THEY they are such a tight knit family like they were INCREDIBLY protective over both adder and crypt while they were younger, to the point where theyd bare their teeth at their own clanmates if they got too close LOL

it paid off tho cuz they both survived and have grown up and theyre. THEM AND THEIR LITTE KILL SQUAD theyre great hunters naturally as mirrors but MAN they are a force to be reckoned with. a lot of mirror packs split randomly and merge whenever so im assuming MOST those mirrors dont actually know each other. hunting with yr little family tho? they look out for each other and keep each other safe which makes them more efficient

crypt is pretty quiet and more observant which she probably gets from tarren (who both her and adder consider to be their uncle). she mixes well with the other scavengers and is agreeable, if not a little odd. she usually spends time with adder, and is the levelheaded one in their duo.

adder on the other hand is just like her mother, aggressive and snappy. she'd get into more trouble if she didnt have her family looking out for her.

they are just. THEY ARE SO SILLY I LOVE THEM SM

fjord and kestrel quickly embraced the plague flight once they abandoned the starfall isle, especially since their breed originated from underneath the wing of the plaguebringer, so it just felt natural to them. fjord found a way to apply his magic abilities, adapting them to take after the plague element. its good contrast when kestrel is a very physical fighter, they compliment each other well.

okay thats all i feel like talking about for now but i just needed to get it out cuz i love them im having a lot of fun planning this shit out

HIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIII HELLOOOOOOO thanks for the ask i was very surprised to see something in my inbox lol Hmmm hard to say honestly im not happy often but i think the things that are making me even a bit happier for now are 1. my friends obv, i dont know how id be if i couldnt talk or play with them semi-regularty and texting too 2. my cats, they are funny things, mother randomly brought another kitten and hes so different from the older one lol. i have a sideblog with them bc i wanted to have photos of them growing up (but sometimes i feel like im forcing myself to go take a pic for it idk lol) 3. green tea my beloved, i live on it, lately i love the soursop flavoring for it, i think it a great flavor to add to green tea, fully recommend if yall drink tea 4. dungeon synth music, im annoyed at music that has text lately so i found some dungeon synth while searching for instrumental only and now im a fan. i have a youtube playlist for backgroung music and its half dungeon synth now lol 5. and from more personal stuff, i like that with years (even tho im still 21 but you know, its not my mom having a call on my haircut etc anymore) i have more control over my appearance to make it less my agab and im glad that i have friends that are understanding of me trying to distance myself from my agab. honestly understanding being agender/genderqueer/etc etc i dont have a connection to a specific label (just neither male or female, and not something specific honestly my description of myself) is freeing a bit? even if i cant present typical genderlessness/androgynity people expext (not being skinny mostly :| and i cant afford all that clothes people like and all that, honestly i often look boring) and i probably wont ever but not being misgendered by my friends and having random people on the street sometimes second-guess is more pleasant then before. and choosing my own clothes still makes me have more of a personal style, how my friend calls it, time-traveller from dc who style lol. i think its a very inspirational style and it pairs well with gender stuff. wow i really said a lot on this topic Not going to sent the same ask to you back bc i saw you answered it from someone else but if you didnt id send lol ;^) thanks again its fun to interact with other tumblr users even if im anxious to

how did you choose the name of your story? it was too obvious and i didnt want to spend forever thinking lol

how do you choose your characters’ names? sims random name generator tbh (how I name most of my sims/characters though for some of the fantasy ones, i use a specific generator)

how long have you been working on your story for? since august last year it seems lol wait have i averaged one post per month??

whats the biggest risk you’ve taken with your story? did it pay off? um im gonna go with doing the summoning scene and making it look well like the summoning scene i imagined. it took some work but i was pretty pleased with the result :3

what about your story are you proud of? huh uh...idk i guess how i write my characters?? the banter and chaotic energy

what about your story are you looking to improve on? honestly the whole editing process and look of my posts. I'm also still trying to figure out how exactly is the best way to set posts up as im more of a teller than a show-er(?), maybe i can even learn poses some time so i can have easier time

is your story fully planned or are you still working things out? is there a definitive end? lollll me? fully plan something? i have almost never done such a thing; i have plot points highlighted, scenes jotted down, and the ending i want in mind (shout out to milanote for helping me) but most everything that happens is just "randomly" written in word doc when i get inspo to write

why have you decided to tell this story? are there any messages or meanings within it? i thought the idea was amusing and had to share in some way; the message is dont summon a demon unless youre prepared to unlock family secrets and run for your life lol any messages are up to the reader to decide, im just writing gay fantasy here for the heck of it ajhdjk

that was all you ever meant to bokuto koutarou. you desperately tried to hold on to something that did not and never existed in the first place, which in return caused your downfall.

you snickered to yourself. it wasn’t koutarou’s fault, it was none other than yours. you were just looking for someone else to blame. the quick realization made you sigh inwardly and feel pathetic.

you and koutarou met through text. apparently, koutarou stole your childhood friend, akaashi keiji’s cellphone and randomly texted a person. and for better or for worse, that random person was you. the two of you hit it off quickly. koutarou was easy to befriend, and he was even easier to fall for. as far as you know, he also had romantic feelings for you. well, to be frank, you did get into a brief relationship with him that ended in just being friends. whether his feelings were real or not, you didn’t ask. you didn’t have the courage to.

you frowned at your phone once more, glancing at his reply.

koutarou: you’re the cutest person i’ve ever known, babe.

you had to restrain yourself from throwing your phone away. you let out a deep breath and tried to match his wavelength once again today. the routine with koutarou was always like this: first you’d talk about your day, then one of you would flirt as a reply, and the other would flirt back, and it would just be the two of you constantly throwing the cheesiest lines you can think of back and forth everyday with no fail.

and to be honest, that system was getting exhausting.

sure, koutarou was a fun person to talk to. he has a great sense of humour, he’s thoughtful, and he’s someone you can easily open up to. but your feelings were getting in the way. you were confused, and peace of mind was becoming tempting as the days go by.

and there it was, the l-bomb. everytime koutarou sends you the words i love you, butterflies fluttered inside your stomach, making you feel giddy and nauseous at rhe same time. you wanted to clear things up as soon as possible or else you’d burst. you held your phone, hands shaking, as you sent the riskiest text that you’ve ever sent in your life.

you: do you actually mean that, koutarou?

koutarou: hm? wdym?

you: do you actually love me?

one second. two seconds. the alarm clock on your bedside table ticked rather loudly for you. ten minutes have passed, and koutarou still hasn’t replied. you tried to calm yourself down. this was normal, right? sometimes, koutarou would reply the next day if he was so busy. ten minutes was fine, everything was fine, right?

a good thirty minutes passed before your phone rang. pain struck your chest as his name flashed on your screen. your instinct was already yelling at you at this point. it was like your gut knew that something unpleasant was about to unfold, and you were, unfortunately, at the center of it all.

you pressed the green call sign and picked up the call. “hello?” you said, trying to sound normal.

“hey, y/n.” he chuckled. “now that i think about it, it’s been a while since i’ve heard your voice.”

in hindsight, that statement was a bad way to open this scenario.

“yeah, same.” you breathed out a laugh. “why’d you call?”

“about your text, i just..” he paused. “look, i know we had a relationship before, and it was fun. it was really fun.” he awkwardly let out another laugh. “but i don’t really like you that way anymore.”

you scoffed. “yeah? so all the flirting, all the sweet texts, what’s the deal?”

you heard him sigh from the other line. “you were flirting back as well.” you pursed your lip, hating the fact that he was right. “i thought we were just joking.”

oh, a joke.

all those months of talking until the wee hours of the night, sharing secrets no one knows about, opening up the deepest parts of both of your hearts. .

it was all a joke.

you wanted to punch yourself for being so naïve, for being so trusting of a guy who indulges in these kinds of relationships for fun, for entertaining him along the way.

you should’ve let him go and never came back when the two of you broke up.

the regrets came pouring down on you like a thunderstorm. you felt stupid, worthless, dumb. the fact that you wasted time trying to make ends meet with koutarou was annoying you.

you took a deep breath and tried not to snap. you were at fault, too. if only you never attempted to befriend him again, this conversation never would’ve happened.

the pain came striking through your chest as the regrets died down.

koutarou never loved you. he never liked you.

you were nothing more than a mere joke.

“i see.” you managed to speak. “i’m glad we cleared things up.”

“wait y/n-“

you hung up. you didn’t want to hear his voice for another second or else you’d break down. oddly, you weren’t crying, but you felt tired.

you turned off your phone and closed your eyes, hoping that when you wake up, the numbing pain would pass. you made a mental note to yourself to forget everything about bokuto koutarou after this night. after all, you’re just a joke. you’re a passing, temporary joke.

kita was having a good time by himself in his grandmother’s rice fields, feeling the breeze like the precious farm boi he is,,, when he saw a cat sleeping on a wet patch in the middle of the field

gathering concern for the little cat, he brought him home and decided to clean it up

then you woke up

you felt something scrubbing your back when you open your eyes you see a guy aiming a hose at you

you scream bc obv, but that scream translated into a screech leaving your mouth and you see your hand

homie that was a paw

you see that he’s kinda annoyed that you’re moving so much while he’s trying to clean you up but at the same time you arent sure since he isnt easy to read and that don’t know him too well rip so you let yourself be cleaned for free ig

Kita pulled the cat closer to him, and wiping the wet fur with a towel as generously as he could that the cat soon found comfort from his gentle caresses

you hear a familiar voice from a mile away, you look back and see a fat, creepy cat standing on two of its hind feet

o wait

you saw that cat last night when you were watching the shooting star outside,,, you thought it’d be cute if you suddenly wished for something so you did then that thing appeared outta nowhere promising you that he can make your wish come true than compared to a stupid star

so he forced the wish outta you

that you wished to be closer to a guy you admired,, and you had a lot of crushes in your school ykyk,,, just that Kita takes the entire cake

and so he vanished

while knowing full well you’re basically Cinderella now, you take consideration of your leisure time with Kita-sama

he asked you and you gave out every ounce of your energy to shake your head as a no as well as to let out the most disgusted and disapproval meow you ever could-

he took you back home since his grandma seemed to be real happy seeing a little animal in the house with them

but you didnt miss to see the little knowing smile from the creepy cat from earlier, you just knew from that alone that he was messing with you since as you said you were bored

it was wrong of you to talk to that lil disgusting thing

since that moment you refused to speak with your mouth every again, if you were going to speak thought you would probably just purposely say meow only to not make anymore mistakes

also you’re spending a lot of time with Kita’s grandma than Kita himself

the next day you were back to your human self and it was a school day so ofc you have to live on normally in school as if nothing happened, as if you didnt just stalk a guy from your school but we’ll get to that

see, you’re friends are friends with a few of the guys from your school’s volleyball team,,, so you’re within vicinity of Kita’s attention

Hey guys its uhhh Saturday July 3rd 2021 9:53 a.m.

I literally got 1-2 hours of sleep •_• because I was up into the earliest hours of the morning talking to Jay and Ariel.

... Its homophobic that Jay was away /j :P and not in my room that night because... how do I say this without saying too much... he turns me on, simple. He's in LEDUC. DUDE. COME BACK I WANT TO FUCK YOU /HJ

I told him this before you guys, but my brain does this thing where it randomly sends me back to some memory and I have to live through the feelings yknow? And I twitch a bit. Well my brain has been sending me back to almost entirely memories of him now. And it's. Not even funny. My crush on him grows...

Oh well, I'm patient.

The forums last night were as usual, unhelpful. My dad looks at me as if I'm a tragedy, as if my skin is a crime scene, and we have a total of *drumroll* TWO COMMENTS! One of them was okay in helpfulness. They mostly just wanted to write about their tattoo cover up of their scars but. They were right about how you are the only person who gets to decide what you think about your scars.

I'm in the car with my friend and annoying ass sister right now and I got music on

We got Tim Hortons (muffin + ice capp) for breakfast (already over my cal limit... •_• as if that's getting followed nowadays)

lol I dont usually eat breakfast tho so I'll try to skip lunch or have a light lunch, so it doesn't mess me up.

Right now as we are driving to the lake... it's mostly canola fields. Theres lots of canola grown where I'm from lol, just drive a little bit out and you'll see the fields and fields of bright yellow like millions of little highlighters sticking up from the grass. I cant make them out individually though... still waiting on those contact lenses.

Again, I'm patient.

I don't think we're super far out... I mean theres still lots of cars, signs, farms, roadside ads, trees, uh, shrubs, and if we WERE further out the land would be more bare... #grassland #praries #Alberta

I love him honestly hes so supportive.

I admit I'm a bit sad thinking they feel weird but honestly? Yeah. They do. I felt up my leg where the scars are to check and it feels like hard ribs/ridges to the touch of a hand but he still thinks I'm pretty so I'm not gonna let the scars get me down. Cos I'm still me. It's just scars. Doesn't affect anything.

Hikari analysis (especially for people who dont like her and need some convincing)

Ok so to get started i dont really mind to her mary sue ness. Why? Well for one i dont mind mary sues as long as their not annoying. I know a lot of people consider meiko a mary sue too and while im not sure if she really is one, i didnt really like her from the start. Both are considered mary sues yet i still like hikari because of her character. And that leads to the second part. People like saying she doesnt have a personality but her personality is quiet and polite. And a lot of people who consider hikari a mary sue say it is because of her quietness. Now lets think about her character for a second, and why she might be like that. When she was young she saw these strange creatures all over the tv and even in real life and whenever she would say anything about it, the adults would play it off as her just seeing things or making it up because shes young. Hmmmmmm. That can be really damaging to a child. I know her parents didnt mean to gaslight her like that but still. Its bound to make her question everything she believes and go so far as to think “im seeing things again. I shouldnt speak since they wont believe me.” That girl had to grow up with that, having every adult gaslight the shit out of her. So obviously she would keep her thoughts to herself since, ya know, she had to do that her whole life. And we see her discontent with what she has become in episode 33 of 02 when she was on the ledge with miyako. She even says she wishes she could speak what she is feeling like miyako and not have to bottle up everything inside.

Ok another point i would like to get at is that people say she doesnt have any flaws. Welp i just wrote one of her flaws up top. She cant say what shes feeling and she never quite grew out of that. Ok, i guess people can say that isnt really a flaw but an obstacle at best. Ok i can respect that. So lets go to her second flaw, her need for her brother. Like takeru, she relies on her brother (and no that incest thing is not what im talking about, that was just a fever dream). He was the first one to confirm she wasnt crazy and that everything she saw was real, as well as someone who has her back when she needs him the most. Unlike takeru, hikari never grew out of that. She didnt grow out of her reliance of taichi, and she always considered herself as taichis little sister, not hikari yagami. In episode 13 of 02 takeru even calls her out for being to reliant of taichi. If you only watched the dub it was more of a “you have others with you, ya know” type of scene but in the sub it was more of frustration towards hikari because of her reliance on taichi. Takeru knows what it was like to be known as “someone elses sibling” and not a person of your own. Thats why he gets frustrated that she just accepts the role and doesnt fight it, after all, it was takerus whole arc, and he wanted hikari to get the same arc, which regrettfully she doesnt. Its realistic that sometimes, people dont get the opportunity to grow like some other people.

NeXt point. Shes digimon jesus. Ngl she totally is. In the novels, its explained why(kinda), but since thats a different canon im not ganna get into that. I dont mind that she just randomly gets possessed by a deity because theres random shit all over the digital world. I think a lot of people overlook this but the digital world is the world of complete fantasy. Theres vending machines in the forest and theres telephone booths on the bay. Hell, theres even a tv in the coliseum. So why is it strange that a girl gets possessed by a deity but its ok when the world LITERALLY TURNS INTO A SPIRAL LIKE THATS NOT NORMAL. Anyways i digress. So the reason why i dont see it as a pro quality to her is because SHE CANT CONTROL THAT SHIT LIKE IT JUST HAPPENS OUT OF NOWHERE. IF THE DIGILORD WANTS HER TO JUMP OFF A CLIFF SHE LITERALLY CANT DISOBEY IT!(at least until tri)

Last point, and oh boy its a biggie. So one thing that people say makes her a mary sue is that all the boys (not all but ya know) in the series have a crush on her. Ok. I can see why people hate that aspect of her. To me, however, i dont mind that because it adds to the tragedy of her character (ohhh poor baby is pretty and gets all the boys, how awful. Let me get there.) So, her character up until that point was 1, raised to be quiet or people will gaslight her, 2, always relies on someone else to feel significant, and 3, literally blacks out because a deity takes her body, and there is nothing that she can do about it (at least until tri). Not to mention a group of ugly sea creatures betrays her trust and tries to do not nice things to her. Hell Yeah, its tragic that all of the boys like her. Why, because all who do crush on her only like her for her looks. And the thing is SHE KNOWS. She never reveals her true feelings so she know that people only like her for her looks, reinforcing her original thoughts of people will only like her if shes quiet and a cute face. LIKE BRO. EVERYTHING ABOUT HER LIFE IS REALLY EFFED UP AND THE FACT THAT PEOPLE JUST CHOCK IT UP TO SHES A MARY SUE IS REALLY SAD.

I saw someone who made a funny summary of digimon and they said they didnt like how hikari became a kindergarten teacher since it “follows the female stereotype” (so do a lot of my friends lol) and let me just say, shes probably a kindergarten teacher because she didnt want some other poor kid to be told their crazy and have to deal with the same effed up life she did.

So anyways, to all the people who made it to the end, i cant blame people for not getting hikari. Shes a very subtle character, and if you dont connect ALL of the dots, then you’ll probably miss the greatness of her character. Sometimes i wish people wrote as much about hikari as they do azula from avatar (on the other hand im kinda glad that they dont. I dont want people to start saying shes a disgrace to all females out there)

Just in case you don’t know what among us is when I go on my tangent here is the basics but basically there are 10 players in total and either 1, 2 or three are imposter (I’m choosing two here) whoever isn’t imposter just tries to complete tasks and figure out who the imposter is without dying

Box stuff

1. Yes, honestly the only time Luke’s room is clean is due to Alex because he is the mom friend. (And or Reggie because it could be that when Reggie is stressed he cleans but that also works for Alex)

Also that’s what I was thinking, Emily and Mitch just gave up. Definitely when he passed they just couldn’t change anything in his room because it was the one comfort that they had. That even though Luke isn’t here anymore, his room that he lived in was still there and sometimes they could pretend that he’s still there

3. They always bring him recipes to try out because Alex has magic with cooking and even if he has no clue what is going on it usually always taste good. (May not look good but it does taste good) Also love the detail of Reggie just forgetting about the recipes, he just has so much that he forgets some.

Board games and Jam stuff

1. Yes, they all have that one game that they can’t do. Monopoly is banned just because they are way too competitive and Alex has thrown drumsticks at Luke before.

I love the detail of the boys just guessing wrong just to annoy Bobby, they totally would too. In Cluedo, Reggie always thinks that it’s Alex, every single time.

(Among us tangent, really wish I can blame this on chaotic energy but no.

So Alex is pink, because

Luke is the colour white

Reggie is lime

Julie is red

Willie is cyan

And Flynn is purple

Alex and Willie are on the same team immediately (they just follow each other and keep each other safe) and Alex is a good imposter however Luke will only call him out for no reason at all when he is an imposter one time that they play together.

To give more reasoning they probably play together two times in total with 10 games each I don’t know, but the second time around Luke is salty and somehow knows when Alex is imposter even when he doesn’t seem suspicious at all.

Julie and Willie are the best imposter duo, alongside Alex and Luke. Reggie is not a good imposter and the first to die in the game is usually Julie (or Luke).

Wait yes, Alex can’t do life.

Oh Julie gets so mad at him however secretly she’s amused (Alex and Reggie are just having the time of their lives because they can tease both Luke and Julie also Flynn will definitely tease Julie as well)

Alex being the bank dealer is everything, and Reggie just forcing Luke to pay him is everything. (Not sure if this is a game rule but I’ve played a few times were you can give someone a building that has the cost/whatever you owe, so maybe they do that)

Honestly monopoly was banned before hand with Bobby but one day Julie brought it up and they just couldn’t tell her (Luke flipped a table... a table)

Also randomly Flynn and Willie are there just for chaos reasoning.

2. Alex and Willie just chilling and then Reggie ruining everything is perfect. (Also Willie is crying laughing during this whole thing, even more so when the hoodie rips and Alex just looks hurt and shocked at the same time towards Reggie)

So I watched the first episode, and I was mistaken. Maybe Arther changes as the show goes on but this is not how I thought the story went 😂

I was like, they changed the story but it still had to have the idea of Merlin helping Arther out with getting the sword out of the stone and in the shows there is a witch. I can’t tell if it’s because they are adding details to the story or if I just don’t know it. But yes just like with Merlin calling Arthur an idiot, my lord is total Alex energy. Definitely could see him doing that is real life at some point. Yes, Luke does still die from the hotdog

5. Same here!! Also the ones that you’ve mentioned I think I have read as well, have to love that for us (also the fact that everyone agree not to ship Alex with Julie and just have them be supportive wingpeople)

6. I love that for us. Also I love the sign idea, (Bobby somehow makes a sign to tell Willie that Alex is okay) it mostly comes because Alex is so distracted by Willie and the hair flip to notice that Willie is asking if he is alright or not. Wait I was still thinking about waterparks, moving to what you were actually talking about. I’m just keeping that in because

But yes, Bobby gets a sign from the boys and everything is better. (The sign is, don’t steal the songs, big no). Also I love how you say that they still go back to Julie but they make a quick pit stop

8. Yes, also their strengths complimented each other’s so without them there Bobby feels lost. So many props towards Reggie, I have no clue what is happening with that game at all times.

10. Aww happy Reggie with technology (also the fact that he doesn’t have to develop photos anymore makes him want to cry happy tears) ‘you don’t understand Julie, green photos. I’m not joking green photos, you don’t know my pain’

I know exactly what you are talking about, can’t remember the name at all though.

Reggie is just upset, but Alex and Bobby are rolling they find it that funny. Also Luke says something along the lines of, ‘it looked fine, I don’t see you blaming Alex and Bobby. This is not fair 🥺’

Wait yes, they always get recipes from bakeries. Also if a food is expensive/they don’t have enough for it but they want to try it sometime they (Reggie) will try to get a recipe just for Alex to make it.

(Also Willie isn’t really that creeped by the fact that Reggie has his baby pictures just accepts it)

Wait, I love that you said Caleb doesn’t question it. As if people ask Caleb for baby pictures all the time, or at least it’s normal (maybe normal Reggie behavior 🤷‍♀️)

But a Caleb scrapbook I love that idea. Also yes, Reggie just has baby pictures of everyone. Some random stranger that he saw once, yes, his great aunts ex husbands son’s daughter yes (oh my goodness what is that sentence). But basically everyone, even the queen

19. Yes, Luke also smashes snow on peoples heads as well. And Alex is usually the one who stuffs it down the persons back (it is what Willie does as well, and they always have an alliance)

20. Exactly, Owen is such a great actor (also mentioning Booboo Stewart for same reasons)

And Owen does play Alex so perfectly, like Kenny could not have chosen a better actor for Alex even if he tried.

Honestly if the boys had hated Willie I would cry, A because no Willie and Alex and B that’s exactly what they are like and although it’s everything if no point A then sad. I mean, Caleb played Willie just as much as he played the boys. (I just want Caleb to be the good guy because but he does stuff like this whyyy)

Luke isn’t happy that Julie is mad at him however he’s happy that he was able to connect with Flynn

21. Honestly I have no clue it’s just been something that I’ve been thinking about. Honestly both of those theories works so well and I feel like it will be so hilarious if Alex freaks over breaking in entering however he’s legitimately done something worse. Also yes, Emily and Mitch talking to Alex to make sure they are both alright is adorable

For the purpose of them looking amazing we are just going to disregard the fact that they can’t be seen on photo (maybe it’s a special camera that Willie has from the club i don’t know) (hmm or maybe if a ghost takes the picture then other ghosts can be seen?)

37. Who doesn’t live for heart eyes Alex (& Willie in my opinion). Yes, and these are not casual rules that you can break there’s legitimately a list and everything. Also Reggie isn’t allowed to wash it after shrinking it and changing the colour one time

39. Yes the dream father daughter team. They are so close (also just want to mention Ray in general not only with Julie but with Carlos as well, because you can tell that’s he trying so hard and is doing so well)

I’m sorry this took me so long to answer! I kept telling myself I would then getting sidetracked and now I’ve decided one o’clock in the morning is the best time to start writing this. Bare with me, I wouldn’t be surprised if there’s a lot of mistakes here 😂😭

BOX STUFF

1. Wait I didn’t think about that but I love it so much! Whenever the guys hang out at Luke’s before he runs away, Alex will walk into his room, tut at him or mutter something under his breath, and tidy while still managing to have a conversation with the guys - occasionally he’ll interrupt his own sentence to tell Luke off for the state of his room, like, “Oh yeah, I heard about that, it was — Luke, I swear if you don’t start picking up your dirty socks I’m going to shove them down your throat while you sleep — really cool actually, did you hear about...”. Also he has been known to just drag the vacuum cleaner in because he knows where Emily keeps it and he’ll hoover over the guys’ conversation.

And I can totally see Reggie stress cleaning? Bc usually he’s stressed or upset because of his parents fighting, right? So it must seem to him that everything is very disorderly and out of place, so to make himself feel better he spends hours putting things in the right place so everything is nice and tidy. It’s just an added bonus that the place gets cleaner. Also if the studio was messy the day before and suddenly clean when the band arrives in the morning then they know Reggie had a tough night.

Oh god that hurts. That hurts so freaking much. Just particularly the “pretending he is still there” part - I’m now imagining Emily or Mitch going up to Luke’s room alone, slowly sitting down on the bed or at the desk because they don’t even want to disturb the dust that has settled there. And they’ll look around the room and they’ll remember their son and all the things he used to do - write music, play games, hang out with his friends (who they remember and miss as well), and yes, argue with his parents. And they talk to him, sometimes in the way Ray and Julie do to Rose, as if Luke can hear them and is listening, but sometimes it’s as if he’s stood right in front of them. Tears in her eyes, Emily will whisper “How did your band rehearsal go?” because although it’s too late to start caring and to be okay with it, it comforts her to pretend it means something. She’ll imagine Luke’s reply, hear his voice tell her they made a killer new song, and she’ll smile as she replies, “That’s lovely. Well done, Luke. I’m so proud of you.”

3. Omg hang on I love that, like Alex being amazing at cooking but also completely clueless. He mutters to himself, “What the fuck does ‘fold in the flour’ mean?” then take a wild guess and somehow it tastes great. But like you said, it doesn’t exactly look very appetising.

BOARD GAMES AND JAM

1. Abwjskdlw Alex throwing drumsticks at Luke like a javelin or a dart or something, and Luke is frantically trying to dodge them but Alex has a seemingly endless supply of drumsticks, he just keeps pulling them out of nowhere and they’ve been there for half an hour of non-stop drumstick throwing and avoiding before he finally runs out.

YES and Reggie is totally serious about it too. Alex sneezes and Reggie is immediately like “that’s a tell!!! You sneezed last round too!!! I’m onto you, Mercer, I know it was you.” And Alex almost readies his drumsticks to throw at Reggie as well.

AMONG US

Oh this. This is glorious. I love this entire thing omg.

The detail of Luke saying Alex was imposter when he wasn’t sus just because he was annoyed is brilliant and would 100% happen. Also Julie-and-Willie and Alex-and-Luke being the best imposter duos is everything. Willie won’t kill Alex no matter what, but Julie is ruthless and Luke is usually first on her list.

Also I want to add what accessories they like because that’s fun! Although I haven’t played in months and can’t remember all of them, but this is what immediately springs to mind.

Luke - toilet paper hat

Julie - flower pot hat

Willie - top hat

Alex - the adorable little leaf thing

Reggie - pumpkin head hat thing

Flynn - no accessory, but she does have a tiny version of her character trailing behind her, you know the ones I mean right? She has a tiny child Among Us player with her at all times idk

Oh god, Monopoly is so much more hectic when Willie and Flynn join in. Willie somehow manages to collect so much money that he may as well just be the banker (definitely nothing to do with Alex being biased and “accidentally” slipping him a little extra cash). Flynn gets the best cards (that’s a thing in monopoly right? There’s a stack of cards in the middle you can choose from? Idk) and they basically win her the game. Luke gets angry, that’s when he flips the table again and Julie locks monopoly away forever

Same with Uno. Reggie doesn’t speak to Luke for a week after the first and only time they play Uno.

2. I love that, like Willie trying to be a supportive boyfriend as Alex watches his hoodie get torn to pieces but just not being able to contain his laughter, practically lying in Alex’s lap because he’s laughing so much. It only gets worse as Alex cradles his ripped hoodie in his hands like it’s a dead animal or something. Like Willie is trying to be nice but the whole situation is freaking ridiculous and it doesn’t work.

Ahahaha I’m so glad you watched it! It does change a bit as the story goes on, I’m sure you’ll like it (I’d always be willing to hear your thoughts on it if you keep watching as well, if you want!!)

And like right??? Alex has complete and utter Merlin energy like “No, there must be another Arthur because this one’s an idiot” may as well be Alex saying “No, there must be another Sunset Curve because these ones are idiots”

6. Lmfao Alex just totally stops functioning after the hair flip and Bobby has to step in, love that. He very calmly takes over the situation, or has a sign, or just like freaking slaps the back of Alex’s head to bring him back to reality.

Right??? They just very quickly say “hey Bobby it’s us don’t steal our music” and then appear in the garage. Kinda tempted to write it now actually

8. Okay, seeing as it’s half one, I don’t want to go off on a whole tangent about “their strengths compliment each other” but I will definitely do this when I’m more awake because it’s a goddamn goldmine

10. Yesss 🥺🥺 like at first he would be a little sad that he didn’t get the experience of getting them developed but then when he remembered how annoying it was he’d be so happy. And omg can you imagine he reaction to how instant it is?? And how high definition?? My boy would stay there staring at these photos for hours on end, wide-eyed, mouth open, awestruck

Oh I love that! Reggie claims it’s so that Alex can enjoy himself and cook something new, which it partly is, but mainly it’s because Reggie just wants more food

11. I now wanna say that Reggie has met a ton of celebrities but nobody believes him because it’s Reggie (and he literally said how adults never believed him as a kid). He’s met the queen, the band Queen, Billy Joel (just because I watched a Billy Joel concert tonight - side note, Luke absolutely adores Billy Joel and listens to him constantly), whoever the president was when the guys were alive, and plenty more

17. Omg lmfao that makes sense 😂😂😂 but yeah like now I love the idea of him having Caleb’s baby photos too, I’m not going back on it. Caleb just has them ready to hand over the next time they all see each other (idk if I already mentioned that?) and he does a big evil speech but hands Reggie the photos halfway through, still talking, and Reggie just smiles and tucks them away into his pocket

21. Yes lmao like Alex when he was alive would sometimes graffiti with the boys or set fire to stuff for fun (because they’re teenage boys and that’s what teenage boys do right? Idk that’s what the ones I know do) but as a ghost when he’s invisible he’s just very unsure about going into a closed museum

26. Another Willie hair flip PLEASE I would die. Just, Alex short-circuiting around Willie is the best thing ever. And it’s got me wondering what other little things Willie does that basically break Alex: stretching when he’s wearing a crop top so Alex can see his stomach and the smallest bit of his chest; okay but swimmer Willie?? Willie was on his school’s swim team and still swims sometimes and for whatever reason Alex’s loses it; twirling his hair around his finger (bonus points: twirling Alex’s hair around his finger while they’re cuddling)

32. I just love the idea of literally anyone giving them stickers. Reggie’s just out and about in a forest in the middle of nowhere one day (even he doesn’t really know what he’s doing there) and somehow someone finds him and hands him their fanart

Omg I didn’t think about how emotional it would be but then you had to go and say this and now all I can think about is each of the boys getting the family they deserve after so long and being loved and cared for unconditionally even though they’re dead and Ray would call them his angels (because he kinda did in ep 7) and oh god it’s too much I love it

37. Pffffft lmao YES. Reggie just wasn’t really certain on how the washing machine worked because it was at Luke’s house not his and they had a different model and he forgot not to mix colours and it all went badly wrong. Also Luke is banned from wearing them without supervision because once he accidentally set fire to one and now it’s elbow has a burnt patch on it

39. Now you’ve mentioned that I want Ray and Trevor to be friends again! They were probably buddies until Julie and Carrie fell out, I’d love to see them reconnect

Personally my favourite thing of this whole experience is how “Alex and jigsaws” turned into “Reggie has the queen’s baby photos”

yang chaowen is really a sensitive kid... man he brings out renyu's song's feels and then brings up ylq to relate to the lyrics bc he knows his friend isnt getting as much appreciation as himself. (this makes even more sense after ylq said he had been crying before ycw went onstage and ycw was comforting him... and then after ycw came off the stage, it was time for ylq to comfort him from crying TT) Their friendship is really something. But then ycw saying he just gets ripped for getting screentime for crying all the time ouch but i dont get the feeling that hes doing it for attention but maybe im becoming partly biased towards chaowen :)

Lol the fact that they focus so much on xzx and how hes favored by gjm but feels like it's unfair to be treated uncomfortably by other trainees as a result... all i can say is, what do u expect, of course the other kids will be salty, their lives are on the line and theyre getting nothing close to the attention you are, so unfortunately u cant win everything :(

Aw cto friendship and xue en crying :’) actually one thing ive noticed i feel like yzx seems like a genuinely kind and cheerful friend, maybe people are bashing him bc he pushed off some leaderly responsibilities to lin mo in the last round but maybe hes just not someone to take on a strict leader role (looks at aj from afo...) and realized that since lin mo has such experience and is really good at it, it makes sense to respect his experience and skill and let him take on that role. of course its unfortunate that means lin mo worked extra for less recognition, but i think it seems like yzx really respected and admired him so im hopeful what happened wasnt due to mean intentions

watching chen junhao feeling lost oh man :/ maybe he hadnt fully prepared himself for the idol life when first coming on this show. its unfortunate reality that in this kind of idol survival show, the focus is more on stage presence and face and performance, rather than the music itself. Hopefully he really feels that hes found a path forward through this performance. This is a really real way to present him but I'm sad theres not as much focus on li chenxu when this is hissss song

Man both the self composed songs are really good!! Mann them making this song a dance song is really hard to watch for li chenxu bc its makes it hard for him to shine at his own song which is sad :( also lzx's rap is questionable lol but cjh's vocal part in the middle part is so emotional, I hope he felt like he was able to express himself fully there

ok so maybe im liking more new kids than i expected, but i think thats a good thing that the show is making them likable and some kids are able to stand out! honestly i realized I kinda can see why they eliminated so many to begin with. It's sad but also kinda nice tbh (ouch, i know) bc if they really got rid of the ones who have less skill, it makes it easier for the others who dont have to teach from zero (cough lin mo) And then those with skill get to have at least 3(?) stages, unlike qcyn where jin fan got eliminated after only doing 1 silly stage lol The skill level of the stages is also raised, like there's multiple groups of almost all people who are well qualified. im sure the kids are happy that they get to do more stages, im sure that means a lot to them.

At least on snzm they attempt to give most trainees a positive light and give screentime to more than just the top 10 trainees. and they allow someee time for vocals, dancers and rappers to get appreciation (even tho dancers are still dominating lol)

but yea honestly I disliked the judging on pdc2019 too tho so at least the judges here can be supportive... at times. it is SUPER biased and gjm is very vocal despite his lack of knowledge tho lol

it's so bad bc I feel like my standards for shows are so low at this point. my standards get lowered with every show I watch. It's like I guess the snzm songs are okay bc I hated the ones on afo more so at least the stages aren't thattt bad lol At least the rules/general setup aren't as terrible as they were on afo..... at least the camera time isnt as biased as it was on qcyn.... sigh the show isnt doing great, and itd be best if the show would help the tygers get more popular, but I guess its prob better than just doing nothing at star master lol.

qcyn was just painful to watch from "spirit of the knight" onward bc momo literally was buried, mistreated, disrespected and taken advantage of. at least on snzm he gets some screentime and positive recognition.....

tbh i like snzm, maybe thats an unpopular opinion, but at least there have been some really great stages, where the kids really get to shine. at least i can confidently say that bc of snzm, i have met some new kids who i will be sure to follow for new music moving forward :)

This is the Part 1 of my apparently long list of Anime that i have seen. Honestly didnt realise that i have seen more than 10 animes

Pokemon

First ever anime that i have ever seen ♥️♥️ seeing this gif just makes me think about childhood, i remember my first ever pokemon games and while playing also having the show on tv. I remember making my dad download all the pokemon movies so i can watch them freely :)) oh the good old days, this show still holds a very special place in my heart and that will never change ♥️♥️

School Rumble

This anime is one that i randomly watch when i see its on tv, i found it hilarious so whenever i see its playing i just continue watching even though i didnt see that start of the episode xD but i remember this one episode where the girl in the anime forgets to put her name onto and exam paper and the guys does everything in his power for her to notice him hinting on the fact that she needs to write her name on it XD.

Mirmo de Pon

Cutiee Mirmooo ♥️ i used to pretend to own one of them by putting stickers onto a plastic cup. This anime was so huge once upon a time that i remember in the Philippines, they had these guys as the happy meals. I would put mirmo into the cup and pretend that im Katie lmao childhood was so funn ♥️♥️

Pretty Cure

One of the first animes i watched, never really saw the full anime coz i didnt know the schedule on tv when i was younger XD but it was a really cute anime that i just watched whenever i see it on

Naruto

Im currently trying to finish this anime, i think im on the 170th episode of Naruto, honestly i knew so many spoilers coz of my brother but even though i had time to prepare myself it still hurts that Sasuke left the gang to go with Orochimaru :’(. Im gonna be so sad when I reach the point where Jiraya and Neji die ~imma be fuuuuuuuckd~

La Corda D’oro

Honestly i havent even finished watching this one coz i remember my sister had a pirated cd of this anime and in the middle of an episode it just stopped working so i kinda forgot about this after that lol. Anyways it was cute at the start (but i swear to god we watched an english dub but according to kissanime there is only sub) i cant say much coz i havent even finished it so yah, maybe ill get around to watching it someday

Romeo X Juliet

Also one of the first animes i have completed :) this was a good watch ♥️ i loved them so much, i was lowkey hoping that they wouldnt follow the actual ending of the Shakespearean play :)) however, they did anyways and that kinda hurt me in the heart

Ghost Hunt

Also loved this anime, when i watched this i didnt really have much care i just watched coz my sister and brother were watching so j was like might as well, no regrets there it was a good watch and we got to see Naru smile in the end xD

Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood

THE BEST THING THAT HUMANITY HAS EVER MADE ~just saying~ anyways i love this animeeeeeee. Specially when it transitions from serious animation to the goofy ones like the one above XD. It was actually hard recovering from the ending of this anime for a while, i couldnt find any good ones that i could watch after this lmaooo but anyways Attack on Titan came along in my life so i kinda recovered but this anime still remains as the best in my heart.

MY FAVE LEVI (tragically he doesnt get much screen time on the second season) anyways rip Team Levi ya’ll were fuckn amazeballs i hate how them titans did you dirty :’((( anyways, this anime was what helped me recover from FMAB xD it was hard to find a replacement for FMAB so thank god for Attack on Titan ♥️ i honestly get so annoyed with Eren coz he’s so hot tempered and sometimes it gets on my nerves lmao i still love him tho lol i have conflicting feelings i swear XD. But i just loveee Mikasa and her bad asseryyyyy such a queenn (i hate how she’s willing to sacrifice her life for Eren tho he can go die) speaking of deaths so much die and its quite the tragedy i didnt want to happen :’( i almost dont want to watch lol

Movie Dates with ASTRO

this is a long thread!

would probably choose a comedy movie

would buy the largest size of popcorn and accidentally spill some on the way to your seats

you actually die of embarrassment around him

he would laugh at the serious moments in the movie

i kid you not this grown man would very quietly not so quietly murmur "that's what she said"

you wanted to die but it was amusing

would embarrass you by turning around to the kids sitting behind you

"this is my girlfriend (Y/N)"

"MJ what are you doi-"

"isn't she pretty?"

the kids would nod their heads and MJ would smile not before growing serious and suddenly snapping

"she's mine though, understood?!"

poor children would widen their eyes and you would give MJ a >:( look

MJ would give you a ;) look

whenever something remotely funny happened he would look at your face to see your reaction

turns out you kept a straight face the whole movie

the movie wasn't funny

after the movie ended MJ would act clingy and cute

he would whine

"no if you had fun then i'm satisfied"

"let's movie hop to whatever movie you would like"

I went over the “How to Recognize the Signs of Mental and Emotional Abuse” article and heres whats familiar : 46 out of 64 Signs LOL

-Name-calling. They’ll blatantly call you “stupid,” “a loser,” or words too awful to repeat here. There were too many times my mom would come to my room yelling and threatning to beat, or actually beat me up and call me a whore and a piece of shit. Still does, just doesnt call me a whore now, just calls me stupid and a a piece of shit occasionally. -Character assassination. This usually involves the word “always.” You’re always late, wrong, screwing up, disagreeable, and so on. Basically, they say you’re not a good person. Everyday AALL DAY. Things i used or barely did as a child , and keeps trowing at as an adult. -Yelling. Yelling, screaming, and swearing are meant to intimidate and make you feel small and inconsequential. It might be accompanied by fist-pounding or throwing things. No need to even explain this. -Patronizing. “Aw, sweetie, I know you try, but this is just beyond your understanding.” “Ah nooo, youll never be responsible to have your own life” -Public embarrassment. They pick fights, expose your secrets, or make fun of your shortcomings in public. Yup...

-Dismissiveness. You tell them about something that’s important to you and they say it’s nothing. Body language like eye-rolling, smirking, headshaking, and sighing help convey the same message. Trying to explain to her i dont like something or i dont wanna do something and why, trying to explain certain things she does harms me. And i just get mocked and threatned instead. - Insults of your appearance. They tell you, just before you go out, that your hair is ugly or your outfit is clownish. Every single day. Also to a point that she did this many times in front of strangers, or in front of my friends.

-Belittling your accomplishments. Your abuser might tell you that your achievements mean nothing, or they may even claim responsibility for your success. Yup -Put-downs of your interests. They might tell you that your hobby is a childish waste of time or you’re out of your league when you play sports. Really, it’s that they’d rather you not participate in activities without them. I stopped practising my drawing skills because she would always say i had no future in drawing characters and shitty stuff. Even tho i was starting and practising. That i had no future in it. -Pushing your buttons. Once your abuser knows about something that annoys you, they’ll bring it up or do it every chance they get. Daily picking fights with me, the yells at me for fighting with her and misstreats me. -Threats. Telling you they’ll take the kids and disappear, or saying “There’s no telling what I might do.” Threatning to kick me off the house whenever i refuse to do something she tells me to. For example, a few years ago, i was barely holding on with a minimal wage , she would take a cut out of it, so there was this month i did a whole month without days off to try and gather money to go to barcelona. She knew i had money saved up and threatened to kick me off the house if i didnt give her extra 100 euros for house rent. Usually stuff like this always. -Monitoring your whereabouts. They want to know where you are all the time and insist that you respond to calls or texts immediately. They might show up just to see if you’re where you’re supposed to be. If i go out with my friends or stay in my friends houses, if i go to a concert or anything, she will non stop be calling me and texting until i reply. Even if i already told her who i would be with and where ( i have to tell her always ) And always have to tell what i am doing. If i dont she will be mad for weeks and take it out on me. -Digital spying. They might check your internet history, emails, texts, and call log. They might even demand your passwords. Like the previous one, she asks my aunt to sent her my ig stuff and fb stuff i post, so i had to remove my entire family from my social network. Because she would always come up to me daily “ ah u posted this why? “ wether it would be a selfie or a poem. And is always messaging me on whatsapp and humiliating me and crontrolling wich picture i post on whatsapp. I generaly like to post my user photo of whatsapp as something funny, wether its my face with a filter, or a funny meme. Two months ago i posted a guy with his ass pinned up, wich was hilarious. She kept yelling at me everymorning, and even threatned to hit me , to take the picture down , because it looked bad. The picture was something like this ( not this, but the pose kinda )

- Unilateral decision-making. They might close a joint bank account, cancel your doctor’s appointment, or speak with your boss without asking. ALWAYS does these kinds of things without my consent. I work 12h a day everyday, im always tired, and i barely have money , and she “trying to take care of me “ will settle apointments for really expensive doctors witouth asking me if i even want, and will get mad at me when i tell her to cancel , saying im a big girl that i have to do it, SO i have to take out sometype of time during my busy work day to make a call to cancel something she settled without even asking me , and will be mad for weeks and take it out on me calling me names and shit. And if i dont accept her “ lending me the money for the apointment “ she will get mad and call me ungratfull and stupid. -Financial control. They might keep bank accounts in their name only and make you ask for money. You might be expected to account for every penny you spend. Well yeah.. dont even need to say anything here. - Lecturing. Belaboring your errors with long monologues makes it clear they think you’re beneath them. Or here... -Direct orders. From “Get my dinner on the table now” to “Stop taking the pill,” orders are expected to be followed despite your plans to the contrary. This daily basis. -Outbursts. You were told to cancel that outing with your friend or put the car in the garage, but didn’t, so now you have to put up with a red-faced tirade about how uncooperative you are. Always calling me lazy and shit for not doing HER OWN STUFF. -Treating you like a child. They tell you what to wear, what and how much to eat, or which friends you can see. I am 30 years old. -Feigned helplessness. They may say they don’t know how to do something. Sometimes it’s easier to do it yourself than to explain it. They know this and take advantage of it. Whatever happends she always plays the pity party card “ ahh im old” , “ ahhh i had an aneurism ( even tho she has been fine for two/three years now LOL )”, “ ahh my blood pressure “ She used that as an excuse to always ditch arguments or important discussions when she is loosing, and if i dont shut up she will threaten to kick me off the house or beat me. For example the other day she was shamming me out of nowhere from trying to commit suicide, and i told her she was one of the main reasons. She immediatly started to call me names, tried to hit me, and trow me out of the car. -Unpredictability. They’ll explode with rage out of nowhere, suddenly shower you with affection, or become dark and moody at the drop of a hat to keep you walking on eggshells. She flips randomly during the day, im afraid to leave my room. Or that she will enter my room. -They walk out. In a social situation, stomping out of the room leaves you holding the bag. At home, it’s a tool to keep the problem unresolved. She humiliates me in public then randomly walks out. -Using others. Abusers may tell you that “everybody” thinks you’re crazy or “they all say” you’re wrong. She likes to tell her friends and our family how “ irresponsable”, “immature” and no good for nothing i am, and how i am LEECHING her off... LOL -Jealousy. They accuse you of flirting or cheating on them. Usualy when i game or sometimes, ppl call me and talk to me, and she will eavesdropp my conversation and enter my room to hear better, or later wait until i leave the room , to complain about how i treat my friends so well , and speak so well to them , and how it is possible that i talk to her bad all the time and treat her like shit (? LOL ) Well for starters my friends dont misstreat me or call me names, or try to humiliate me or control me LOL or even pick fights with me. She will get mad at me for not wanting to spend time with her, and spending time with my friends. That im ungratefull and a bad daughter. LOL -Turning the tables. They say you cause their rage and control issues by being such a pain. This, that its my fault. That its my fault everything. - Denying something you know is true. An abuser will deny that an argument or even an agreement took place. This is called gaslighting. It’s meant to make you question your own memory and sanity. For example the other day , olso on the car, with the suicide attempt talk, i was trying to explain why and i told her my most painfull memory of her, was her beating me up for not knowing how to solve a math problem in 3rd grade. That she punched me several times because she tought i had awnsered 7 instead of 1. And she started yelling at me saying i made that up and shit. Like bitch i was afraid of doing my homework home because you would beat the crap out of me, instead of teatching me LOL. She once again used the “ blood pressure “ excuse and tried to hit me and kick me off the car in mid highway. -Using guilt. They might say something like, “You owe me this. Look at all I’ve done for you,” in an attempt to get their way. Ahh this is a classic. She says i owe her everything she asks for because SHE BIRTHED ME AND RAISED ME. And she used this argument to manipulate me in everything. -Goading then blaming. Abusers know just how to upset you. But once the trouble starts, it’s your fault for creating it. Yup -Denying their abuse. When you complain about their attacks, abusers will deny it, seemingly bewildered at the very thought of it. According to her, she just does everything she does because she cares LOL. -Accusing you of abuse. They say you’re the one who has anger and control issues and they’re the helpless victim. LOLOLOL cannot say this enought, SHE ACCUSES ME of being the abusive one , simply because i talk back, because i dont wanna be around her and because i fight with her LOL. Even tho she starts the fights and im just defending myself from her. -Trivializing. When you want to talk about your hurt feelings, they accuse you of overreacting and making mountains out of molehills. Yup -Saying you have no sense of humor. Abusers make personal jokes about you. If you object, they’ll tell you to lighten up. Yup -Blaming you for their problems. Whatever’s wrong in their life is all your fault. You’re not supportive enough, didn’t do enough, or stuck your nose where it didn’t belong. ALSO YUP -Destroying and denying. They might crack your cell phone screen or “lose” your car keys, then deny it. Tried to break my things numerous of times, or trash them or give them away. Wich she did. -Demanding respect. No perceived slight will go unpunished, and you’re expected to defer to them. But it’s a one-way street. Yup... She will happly tell me how to dress saying what im wearing is ugly, i will politely tell her to stop, she will continue to give her “opinion” i will get tired and yell to stop , she will immediatly demand respect and tell me i have no right to talk back at her and that im disrespectfull and stupid. -Shutting down communication. They’ll ignore your attempts at conversation in person, by text, or by phone. Yup -Dehumanizing you. They’ll look away when you’re talking or stare at something else when they speak to you. Yup -Keeping you from socializing. Whenever you have plans to go out, they come up with a distraction or beg you not to go. Also Yup She wouldnt let me go out if i didnt do my bed, and would make up shit just so i wouldnt go out, until i got tired and gave up. -Trying to come between you and your family. They’ll tell family members that you don’t want to see them or make excuses why you can’t attend family functions. Well she constantly came in between my first real good therapist. I was finally seeing a good therapist a few years ago. I was finally relieved and tought i could trust him, all of a suddent she demanded to be in the therapy sessions. So in the sessions instead of talking about what upset me and her constant mental abuse, the therapist gave in to her demands, and started adressing HER issues with me. I remenber the LAST time i decided to attend the doctor. He would first attend my mom , then me. So i came up, and he started his usual talks, and i wanted to talk to him that day about the nightmares i was having and if he could help me. And all of a suddent he cut the conversation off by saying “ ah wait so your mother tells be you have been staying a lot of time on your computer “ “ that you dont socialize with your friends and that you dont go out “ I mean i wonder why i get stuck in my pc and dont go out with my friends LOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOL She would always cut me off from meeting my friends, she would always control me, so i had less interest or courage to make friends year by year. And gaming was the only thing that brought me joy in my shitty depressed life coz i couldnt develop any interests. -Withholding affection. They won’t touch you, not even to hold your hand or pat you on the shoulder. They may refuse sexual relations to punish you or to get you to do something. She wil straight up give me the cold shoulder, ignore me if she is mad because i didnt do something how she wanted. When i had hand surgery, she refused to go with me, or get me. By me it was ok , she didnt need to go or anything. So after surgery i told the doctors i would take myself home, and why. And they didnt allowe me and still called my mom even thought i told them she wouldnt. She treated me so badly after picking me up from the hospital because they called her. -Tuning you out. They’ll wave you off, change the subject, or just plain ignore you when you want to talk about your relationship. Yup -Actively working to turn others against you. They’ll tell co-workers, friends, and even your family that you’re unstable and prone to hysterics. YUP -Calling you needy. When you’re really down and out and reach out for support, they’ll tell you you’re too needy or the world can’t stop turning for your little problems. YUP -Interrupting. You’re on the phone or texting and they get in your face to let you know your attention should be on them. Yup -Indifference. They see you hurt or crying and do nothing. Yup - Disputing your feelings. Whatever you feel, they’ll say you’re wrong to feel that way or that’s not really what you feel at all. Yup

like.. i mean.. its not even a Huge Bad or anything, like it doesnt seem like the creators were intentionally bigoted but just that they wanted to do ~historical accuracy~ but this kinda bugged me in The Banner Saga its not even anything big but it really stacks up??

like i mean there’s loads and loads of scattered lines that’re all ‘oh no the women and children’ and thats pretty much the only way they appear as like ‘oh no.’ the main female character in the whole game is your protagonist’s daughter who you ~have to preserve the innocence of~ by not letting her fight when like she’s fuckin 18 and she’s ONE OF THE BEST UNITS IN THE DAMN GAME her, and oddlief, and yrsa. ALL THE DAMN ARCHERS cos btw all women are archers and we only have three of them across two armies and there’s like fiddy other classes for men and also a species of all male giants and also the enemy stonemen are assumed to be all male and then seeing one female one is meant to humanize them just because ~oh the women and children~ and ~women don’t fight in war, they must be really suffering to start doing that~ WHEN YOU HAVE YOUR THREE FEMALE PARTY MEMBERS RIGHT THERE

and seriously fuckin ~PRESERVING HER INNOCENCE~ she’s 18 you get an achievement for either not using her in battle, or using her but never having her deal a killing blow she’s ffffuckin 18 you’re supposed to just see her as ~oh poor boo~ who i should want to protect, and ignore her own wishes when she keeps saying she wants to fight universally, allowing her to do what she asks to do will get nothing but bad results in random events and stuff first time you do it it gets a man killed man also did I mention how annoying it is that you can just randomly lose units forever if you pick the wrong dialogue option in random events?? I lost gunnulf and yrsa and i’d wasted SO MANY UPGRADE POINTS ON THEM so yeah there’s only three female characters and two of them can die in these random events and dont really have much of a plot role and then the last one is ~preserve her innocence plot~ and gets kidnapped or whatever to motivate her dad, and then even badass Oddlief gets kidnapped too to motivate protagonist and like SUDDENLY OUT OF NOWHERE becomes a love interest for him right before this happened like seriously where was the fucking chemistry

oh and oddlief also has another fuckin wallbanger scene cos she’s the wife of the village chief and she comes out and tells you that you have to be the next village chief when he dies, because “nobody would ever follow a woman” and “i would ruin the village for the sake of my selfishness, everything would fall apart into riots” if she tried to be the new chief like.. youre just... a random fuckin hunter??? oh and blablabla oddlief is apparantly ‘barren’ so she’s a dead end to the chief line and you could provide a heir blablabla. that just makes it even weirder that she suddenly gets a romance with you out of nowhere prior to her potential death scene, when youre like.. you’re just chief cos you’re taking the role of her son... oh and then she goes off on a tangeant about how being seen as a strong woman is super bad and she wants to be ~allowed to cry like a real woman~ and its just really fuckin stupid and never gets brought up again this is what i mean about games with ‘historical accuracy’ about predjudice or whatever not having to.. like... AGREE WITH THE PREDJUDICE AND PRETEND EVERYONE SUPPORTED IT INCLUDING THE VICTIMS thats such a fucking LAZY way to handle this kind of plot

and then seriously if they were trying so hard to limit all women to one class then they shoulda tried harder to not make it THE BEST CLASS IN THE GAME that repeatedly solo’d the entire board for me while protaggy mcdad went down like a sack o bricks if i’d been able to keep all three archers instead of RANDOM FRIGGIN DEATH EVENTS, I coulda had a much easier time! seriously daughter character had a shitty unique ability that I never used once in the game, and she was STILL better than everyone else the only people who were even better were the other two archers who had a good ability too

also like.. seriously.. you could have at least tried to establish that daughter character was in need of protection... at all?? like she’s just introduced going “dad i wanna fight to defend my own damn life and home” and then he says no and THEN SHE KICKS ASS WHEN SHE ACTUALLY FIGHTS TO DEFEND HER OWN DAMN LIFE AND HOME and we know NOTHING about these characters really, except that the guy we’re supposed to like has been introduced going all ‘blablabla dont fight for literally no reason except woman’ and then his motive for the whole game is about sheltering someone who doesnt need it and never asked for it and notably he has no fucking arguments about his daughter’s childhood friend fighting in the same fight just cos he’s a dude. even though theyre a fuckin HUNTER FAMILY and he’s been fighting alongside his daughter every damn day and should know what she’s capable of. And this is just a random village kid! who predictably dies in that same battle! and gets completely forgotten about! tfw ur shitty sexism plot is wreckin things for the male characters too lol

oh and then THE FUCKIN ENDING the big gimmick is that one of the characters has to sacrifice themself to kill the big bad and they have the fuckin GALL to make this THE ONLY TIME you’re allowed to let her prove herself! the choice of letting her be the one to die is presented as “but dad i can really do it” and her proving she’s better than him so if you dont want her to die you have to shoot her down and say she cant fight cos she’s a girl and blablabla i will protect you even though you dont need protecting AGAIN when really my fuckin motivation was more like “fuck u maybe if you dont exist then her plot won’t be blablabla protection every five minutes” I REALLY WANTED THIS PROTAGONIST TO DIE i’d say its cruel of me to blame him for bad writing choices, but really he didnt have much personality outside of the sexism. just generic 'for some reason you are our leader now and we all trust you’ type hero...

and like.. this put everything all into perspective?? like her WHOLE PURPOSE IN THE GAME has been to make you wanna protect her, and then ~oh tragedy~ she gets fridged in the end to fuel our protagonist’s character growth and again its a case of the bad outcome whenever you choose to agree with her. and like it “proves” the whole thing cos her big hero moment of fighting gets her killed. (even though it does the same to the protagonist too...) and then if you choose the dad to be the one who dies you’re forced to agree with his protectiveness thing and he dies and now she’s left believing he’s right... I mean I’m at least happy they gave us a choice here! But i’m not really very confident in how they’ll handle her as the protagonist in the sequel, considering how they handled all the female characters here. or they might just have some new character take over the protagonist slot instead...

oh and also its weird that every female character is basically a different hairstyle/hat on the same model like.. a super super thin modern ideal of a supermodel character, too its not super fanservicey or anything but its weird with how all the dudes vary wildly in body build and like.. the typical viking wife character in anything ever is usually chubby, and here you cant even tell which one is supposed to be older than the other two. and they all wear robes despite being archers?? also why is the varl race all male, except from just “because theyre strong and nobody wants to see strong women” the jotunn/giants in norse myth were never all male, and that seems to be what they’re based on. tho i mean this is a world where greek centaurs and weird biological statue robots are also here, so they might not be based on anything, lol
