Jaden Syrus and Chumley walked to class. At this point, Jaden had gotten used to the odd looks from the Obelisks and the Ra students. They wanted to judge? Fine.
They had arrived at their spots in the lecture hall only to see Jaden’s seat had been completely vandalised. Stuff like “crazy”, “insane”, and “go back to your castle princess!”
Jaden frowned. Well, this soured his mood. He could hear the snickering from the Obelisks. But a princess does not cower to mere bullies. He took a piece of material from his bag and covered his part of the table with it. He then gracefully sat down with his back straight.
“A princess does not allow mere peasants get the better of them…” he said calmly.
Syrus sighed and sat next to him “you’re so cool, Jay!”
“Yeah! Jay! You’re the coolest princess around….” Chumley encouraged.
“I don’t even know why you keep calling him that… he’s not even a real princess!”
The three boys looked up to see a girl from Obelisk blue, wearing her hair up and thick make-up on her face.
“Oh! How do you do?” Jaden smiled and grabbed the ends of his Slifer red jacket so he could curtsy.
“You’re not a real princess!” She repeated. “I would know because I actually am one!”
“Yeah, you tell him, Rose!” Another Obelisk student called out.
“Is that so? Well, it’s wonderful to know there are other princesses at the academy!” Jaden smiled, “it’s lovely to meet you, Princess Rose.”
Rose twitched in anger “you’re a boy! You can’t be a princess!!”
“Hey!” Chumley spoke up, “don’t talk to Jaden like that! If he says he’s a princess, then he is one!!”
“Don’t get in trouble for my sake, sir painter” Jaden smiled and patted Chumley on the cheek. “But thank you for defending me….”
Jaden then turned to look at Rose. “I don’t see why you need to be upset. This castle is big enough for the both of us!”
Rose got offended again. “How dare you! You’re not a princess!! You’re just some loser playing pretend! I’m the only princess here!!”
“Well then, if you’re so upset about there being two princesses, then why don’t we settle this in a duel!”
Everyone turned to see Alexis standing up.
“Oh! Prince Alexis! Good day to you!” Jaden smiled and curtsied
“Good day to you too, Jaden” Alexis smiled and bowed back. She wouldn’t admit it out loud, but she did have fun playing along.
“Alexis, you’re with him!?” Rose asked, shocked.
“That doesn’t matter. What does matter is that if you’re really upset about this, then settle it with a duel!”
Rose scoffed, “fine! If that’s how you’re going to be about it, We’ll duel!! If I win, then you stop pretending and never refer to yourself as a princess again.”
“I accept, but if I win, then we will both be the princesses of this castle!” Jaden responded politely.
“This school isn’t a castle but whatever!” Rose scoffed.
“Jaden, are you sure?”
“A princess always accepts a fair competition. Besides, I don’t plan on losing.”
Before the duel, Chumley led Jaden to the Slifer dorms. “It’s not much, but I thought it would be suitable for a princess to duel in.”
He revealed the white and red ball gown based on the Slifer girls uniform, tailor-made for Jaden.
Jaden gasped before pulling Chumley into a hug. “Oh, this is beautiful thank you so much!! Did you make this!?”
“Me and Syrus!” Chumley smiled
“We wanted to do something to cheer you up after everything that’s been going on!”
Jaden pulled them both in to kiss them on the cheek. “Oh, thank you both so much!!”
He loved his subjects- no, his friends dearly.
Jaden put the gown on and headed to the duel arena.
Rose seemed to have a similar idea as she was waiting for him in a beautiful blue gown.
She had to admit she was taken aback by how elegant Jaden was. He gracefully stepped up onto the arena and curtsied. “Very well! Are we ready to duel?”
“Totally! I’ll go first!! I’ll play Beelzefrog in attack mode and place one card face down.”
“I play Cure Mermaid in attack mode.” She made quick work of Beelzefrog.
Rose- 3700
Jaden - 4000
“Fine, I play Unifrog. This allows me to attack you directly,” Rose retorted. Jaden gasped as he was attacked, but he recovered quickly

“First, I activate Cure Mermaid’s special ability giving me 800 life points. Next, I summon Fairy Tail Snow! Isn’t she cute?” Jaden smiled
“Adorable…” Rose gasped, having never seen that card before.
“Fairy Tail Snow has a great special ability too! She can flip your frog back into face-down defence mode!”
“What?!”
“Now let’s battle, first Cure Mermaid attacks Unifrog! Next Fairy Tail Snow attacks!! Red Apple Drop!!”
The tiny squirrel-like creature created a giant red apple and yeeted it at Rose. Rose gasped in anger as her life points dropped.
Rose - 1850
Jaden - 4400
“Ugh, you’re so rude!!” Rose scoffed
“I’ve been nothing but cordial this whole duel. You’ve been rude to me, Princess Rose, which I must say, isn’t very princessly at all!”
“Shut UP! You’re not a princess!!”
“In any case, it’s your move….”
“Fine! I play frog resurrection. I send one Unifrog to the graveyard to get another up on my field! Then I’ll sacrifice it to summon Des Frog!”
“Oh no!! That’s ones stronger than both Fairy Tail Snow and Cure Mermaid!!” Syrus squeaked
“That’s right, and now I’ll be attacking your mermaid!!”
Cure Mermaid was eliminated, and Jaden lost another 400 life points.
“That’s not good….” Jaden mumbled.
“Next, I play the spell card Aquarium Stage, so even if you’re able to give your little squirrel a boost, you can’t touch my prince!!”
“Your prince?”
“That’s right! My Des Frog is my prince!! One day we’re going to run away together with my other princes too….”
“…eh?”
“Princes? Rose is just as crazy as the Slifer is!” An Obelisk shouted, no longer charmed by Rose.
“I-I’m not crazy!! My princes are real!!”
Some of the crowd started to jeer at Rose, causing her to become quite upset.
“I believe you, Rose!”
Rose looked up to see Jaden smiling kindly at her.
“Y-you do…?”
“Of course!!” Jaden smiled “but you shouldn’t insult other people when you get upset when you’re insulted… how do you think I felt when you were picking on me….”
“N-… not great, I guess.”
“And besides, you’re a princess! You shouldn’t let the words of inconsiderate bullies get the better of you… a princess should hold her head high and stick with what makes her happy!”
“W-wow… thanks, Jaden….”
“In any case, I think it’s time I end this!!
Rose - 1850
Jaden - 3600
“I play the spell card double summon!! With this card, I can summon more than once per turn!”
“First, I’ll summon a friend for Snow! Fairy Tail Rella!”
The small dog appeared in the arena, admiring her glass slippers.
“Why would Jaden summon her? She’s still not strong enough in comparison to Des Frog….” Syrus said, confused.
“The wonderful thing about her is every effect from a spell or trap card is targeted towards her, sparing Snow from your spell card,” Jaden explained.
“Oh, so that means Aquarium Stage’s effect is moot!” Chumley whispered.
“Even if that’s true! Snow still isn’t strong enough to attack my frog!”
“I understand that, which is why she will retire for someone who can! My Blizzard Princess!”
“What!?”
“Blizzard Princess has an effect that should I sacrifice a spell caster; I only need to tribute one monster to summon her! Guess what Snow is!”
“Oh no!!”
Jaden smirked and summoned Blizzard Princess.
Blizzard Princess smiled and waved her Ice Mace.
“Blizzard Princess, attack with blizzard crush!!”
Des Frog disappeared, and Rose lost 900 life points.
“It’s over, Rose! Fairy Tail Rella, Glass Slipper Strike!”
Rella tried to run only to trip and fall, her glass slipper flying and striking Rose.
Rose - 0
Jaden - 3600
The holograms cleared, and Jaden smiled, curtsying gracefully. “A good day to you….”
Rose had to admit, she was impressed. Jaden radiated power, elegance and grace.
“You really are a princess….”
Jaden smiled as he straightened up. But now it was Roses turn to curtsy.
“Princess Jaden… I’m so sorry that I was so rude to you… I hope you can find it in yourself to forgive me….”
“You’re already forgiven, Princess Rose!” Jaden smiled “but I do hope you introduce me to your other princes sometime….”
“I would love to! In fact, I can guarantee you’ll see them soon!” Rose smiled and pointed her finger “because from now on, you and I are rivals. I’m going to keep doing my best to be the top student! May the best princess win!”
Jaden smiled. “I accept your challenge!”

Forest In Chains - Chapter 1
"500, 600, 700, 800, 900.." Garcello counts the cash in his hands after he was given the bag of money. After Tabi fell and didn’t get back up from the half-giant cutting loose and throwing him through the cage into the left most stands of the audience. After the red haze cleared. After basically running with fire and panicking the entire way. He still feels the burns and cuts on his arms, chest and face from Tabi's strikes. The bruising deciding to make itself known by the numbness hidden via his bangs on the left side of his face. The wounds just adding on in a pile especially when the reaper decided to stop fucking around and went all in... his body shivers as the pain compounds and the wind from the September season hits him while he sits on the bench waiting for the bus.
"You barely von that, child." a deep, voice spoke.
Garcello looks up and looks intrigued and surprised at who it belonged to.
"Ruv.." He noted looking up from his money and putting it away, quickly.
"You did not expect me?" He noted with a smirk,"Illegal fight, legal fight. I come to all, vatch them. Sarvente spoke of it being good move. I believe her."
The large Russian man walks over and sits down like a neighbor to Garcello on the bus stop.
"But, I can go on many years speaking about her." Ruv noted,"Vhat about you, Young Smoke? Are you alright?"
"I'm fine." Garcello admits,"Just.. didn't expect to get cut and burned alive like I'm a fuckin piece of meat."
"Equalizers are not to be trifled vith. As gang or as fighters in vrestling circuit." Ruv chuckles,"Go to be undefeated, An equalizer gets sent, test you. It is cycle to see if you are actually good or you are veak bitch."
"Well, was i actually good?" Garcello laughs wryly,"Cause i feel like shit."
"No, you vere lucky, you use your strength. You are shit, but vorkable shit. Trainable." Ruv critiques as he takes out his vodka flask from his jacket.
"So.. you're going to train me?" Garcello asked looking up as Ruv drinks.
"Vin against Agoti or Vhitty." He directs looking to Garcello stoically,"Then I teach you. I vant to see if your are vorth time."Ruv takes another drink from his flask. Garcello takes out one of his cigarettes and lights it. A green light illuminates at the end as he inhales, steam and smoke coalesces and flares outward into a glowing green, mist smoke hybrid.
"I see." He nods once,"And if I am worth your time?"
"I train you.break you, see vhat you.. really are. Then ve progress from there." Ruv stated looking to Garcello with his lone, glossy eye. Almost seeming to look through Garcello and into him.Garcello shivers looking back.
Friend? Enemy?
"I see." He gets up as the bus is rolling up."Well for now.. I'm gonna get dinner and go home. Thanks for checking up on me."
"Anytime. I do not like promising student, be jumped by Equalizer scum." Ruv chuckles with a grin.
Garcello pales a bit, "Uh... what?"
Ruv looks to the fellow titan with an incredulous stare,"You scraped out vin, but you also humiliated Tabi. Young Reaper vill vant revenge..."
The Russian raises an eyebrow,"You did not expect that?"
"But you beat some of the Equalizer's asses and you didn't get jumped!" Garcello points out as the whir of steam leaving the bus' brakes occurs and the door's open.
"That is because of grace of God and grace of throwing truck across street." Ruv laughs wryly,"Now go, child. Before you are stuck here."
Garcello waves Ruv off before getting on the bus and using his bus card. A satisfied beep of payment as he moves. Knowing the timer, he sits down quickly before the bus moves with a hiss of the breaks lifting from the ground and the bus hovers, flying down the roads and over ground locked travel.He looks out the window at the night sky and at the many lights below of Funk City. Advertisements, cars, city signs, street lights. Garcello lets his mind wander at the light pollution and the sound of hover cars flying by. Its mesmerizing. Watching everything just fly, zip, and zop by. Time could pass as the colors of the city and the energy takes him in. The concept when he was young had never gotten old or changed.
The colors of the world, the lifeblood of the people moving, growing and just living. This is why he and his mother had migrated here. Such a decision had to be lived through not just decided on a whim. But this.. This wholesome peace and tranquility at this time. Away from the violence, the darkness and the weight of it all...
Was a very big deciding factor.
"One day... they will be able to feel this way.." Garcello resolves quietly as he looks down through the window to the city below.
"Feel so.. free..." He coos starting to let the pain and tiredness get to him. Starting to fall asleep on the bus and get complacent in his space... until a growling, gurgling reminder makes itself painfully known in his core. The tender flesh of wounds on his abdomen only make it worse. His body went through hell.
It wants food, it needs it. He needs it. NOW.
"First.... step... free myself." he grumbles softly as pain burns in his core and it forces him out of falling asleep and dragging on. Sitting up properly and starting to search for a close enough bus stop so he doesn't just add more suffering with a long as fuck walk that only lengthens the burning. Finding one, he pulls on the wire that signals the automated system to stop. The bus stops after a bit before landing with the soft 'woosh' of steam.
Getting off the bus, he walks down the streets. Looking up to keep track of his own placement on the road, looking down to light a cigarette to ease some of the pain, looking back up now to search for those heavenly golden arches.
After a minute, 6 cigarettes later.. the yellow and red light beams down upon his form. At this point, a soft, barely noticeable film of red covers everything and everyone that walks by and every sensation, smell and taste is heightened. Painfully so.
"Finally..." he exhales, dry air hitting a watering, near drooling maw. He walks into the restaurant with a dragging motion of his feet. Garcello looms over to the counter with barely any real patience. People move away and those that don't, go quickly about their order then move.
"Hi." he stated, "I would like.. the whole left menu. Twice. Add 6 McChicken meals. Super size it..."
"I-is that-that all sir?" A timid female voice asked quietly.
"Yes.." he confirms. Not really looking up.
"It's going to be disc-discounted. Y-you don't mind right?" She asked.As she asks that, the red film sight as it was dies down a bit. Garcello looks up from the counter. There is only one person that ever asks about discounts in his mind.
He looks at the attendant at the counter and sees the fuchsia and sky blue eyes looking up and right back at him from her gaunt, modest face and shivering, small frame.
"Rebecca? What are you doin' here?!" He asked actually in shock.
"Um.. well.." she shrugs,"I work here. Y/N got me the job, t-they're the manager."
Garcello looks on in shock. He tilts his head back with an incredulous stare. Looking for you and seeing you wave a short, polite wave as you're working with the drive through attendants to ensure chaos is handled. Garcello looks back to Rebecca.
"Don’t give me a discount girl just charge me normally. I'll treat ya." He says softly.
"A-are you su-sure?"
"Entirely." He nods handing over 80 dollars.
"You were c-close but a bit over. Your price is 72 dollars and 12 cents."
"I know." He nods,"Tips. Put the change in your pocket."
Rebecca looks sheepish, looking down and shivering."B-but.."
"Do it." He commands sternly.
Rebecca takes the money, makes exact change and keeps it immediately. Every motion is fast and shaky like an unstable roller-coaster.
"T-thanks..." she murmurs shyly poking her fingers together.
"When are you two off?" He asked.
"In.. 30 mins.." Rebecca looks up at Garcello. Her eyes narrow and she grimaces.."I'll get an ice baggy.. and. I'm going to be frank... I have questions. And if i have questions.. Y/N is going to want answers..."
Garcello grinds his teeth,"Alright. I'll wait and we'll talk."
Rebecca purses her lips then exhales,"Thank you."
Garcello leaves from the counter and to one of the large benches at the furthest back of the restaurant and waits. Waiting, letting time pass as he patiently sits. His core burning with hunger and primal thoughts when the mental shock subsides.
The herd is curious.. tell them.
"I.. don’t want them in danger..."
Lies are over... tell them something... they worry. They fear.
"Garcello? Are you good?" You asked concerned, "Rebecca told me about.-"
"The bruise on my face. I know." Garcello says as Rebecca comes over with the food trays.
"Ice bag, 3 o clock?" Rebecca offers the baggie of ice. Garcello looks to it then takes the bag, wiggles up his cap and bangs, revealing the recently closed gashes, burns and cuts on his chin and face. Your eyes widen from the sight, brow furrowing in concern.
"What h-happened?" Rebecca says before you do. You see Garcello is staring at the food, half listening. Mostly tired, dragging on fumes really.
"No." You say then look to Garcello,"We talk. After you finish eating. Got it?"
"Yes'm" Garcello nods once then finally let's his brain drop being alert.Rebecca looks to you with concern, she shakes more from anxiety.
"Oh.. don't worry I know." Your reassure,"But overwhelming him is the last thing on my mind. I don't think this is a simple little 'fall' like last time anyway."
"You want to h-hear it fro-from his mouth."
You nod once and sit down before looking to Rebecca, she nods once with a small smile.
"Both of us are signed out, we wont get in trouble with higher ups for over time."She confirms just before-
CRUNCH! TEAAAR! SHHRRIIP!
Garcello eats like they aren't there, there is no smacking noise. Just an absence of control from tiredness and physically going through hell. Hes going through hoops with food like a functioning sponge with water, trying to replenish what was forcefully squeezed out of him. Rebecca looks to you.
"I.. haven't seen him like this.. or well this bad.. Do you think hes..."
"I think so." you confirm," Maybe on drugs. But regardless of whatever it is... This cant be swept under the rug. Did you call Annie?"
"I-I did." Rebecca nods,"She's coming as fast as possible. I warned her to not run red lights. I was promptly cursed out in German. I responded. She hung up knowing I was right."
Garcello stops eating into his 6th McChicken. The man didn't unwrap the wrapper off, the whole ass sandwich is just getting murdered with his teeth. The devouring however stops short at the mention of Annie. With bloodshot eyes, he looks to Rebecca and you.
"You.. are all going to be here?" he asked and you shake your head no.
"No." You respond,"But. I'm happy you have a brain in there again. Because like it or not.. you're going to tell us what we need to know."
Garcello pales in the face for a moment like he saw a ghost, his heart races in terror. His pupils contract as he knows hes cornered now. There is no wiggling out like before.
"We aren't g-going to hurt you, big guy." Rebecca coos softly.
"I.. i know its jus'..." Garcello starts but its hard to put words together.
"You know you can't bullshit us anymore." You finish looking at the man directly in his face. Garcello looks away looking down at the scraps of paper, unwrapped or just ripped apart making a mess on the table.
"Yeah.. I cant." he confirms as Annie rampages in like a crashing tsunami and yells just as loud, scaring customers out of the restaurant.
"NOW WHOMST THE FUCK JUMPED GARCELLO?! I'M ABOUT TO FUCKING BEAT THEIR SHIT IN!" Annie yells, her flesh is tinting blue from the glowing blue of her veins spidering from her skin. A sign of her stress before she drinks ‘the liquid’.
"You bout to calm so i can explain." Garcello says strictly, unafraid as he’s been used to seeing the entity pour our from her veins and skin. He’s more than used to being attacked as he knows it doesn't like him. But for now it has no power here. Just like his other half.
"Then talk." You egg on, as Annie takes a few breathes, grabs a chair and sits in it, the back of the chair acing the table."We're all listening."
Garcello bites his lips. His S/O and his best friends, the core of the herd, his herd... now are looking at him like hes wounded. Doesn't help that he is on the outside and inside...
‘Now you gone and done it, Garcy.. but now.. what do you do now?’ He asks himself in his thoughts as he takes a deep breath in.
Act as you are, You are alpha. Time to be a man.

episode 1: 𝙚𝙫𝙚𝙧𝙮 𝙖𝙣𝙜𝙚𝙡 𝙣𝙚𝙚𝙙𝙨 𝙖 𝙨𝙤𝙣𝙜
having completed all their challenges for week one it is time for the angels to face the music. with their votes in and team performances judged their final rankings decide who will continue on to become apart of 𝐒𝐄𝐑𝐀𝐏𝐇. will your favourite angel soar high or will they fall from grace ?

the iconic seraph intro music played as the cameras focused on the show hosts nova and yen.
“good evening everyone and welcome to...” nova began before yen joined in “seraph!” they chorused.
“this week was a tough first week for our angels.” yen began before looking over at nova who enthusiastically nodded along . “they had 2 challenges to complete: the iconic angel song and a group performance.”
“having to juggle solo performances and group work proved to be quite difficult for some of our angels. both groups had their share of mishaps...” behind nova clips of the angels in their confessionals in tears or looking stressed covered the screen further proving her statement.
“but despite all of this we saw some amazing performances.” nova grinned as she turned back to all the angels on the platform behind her.
“judges, what do you think of our angels this week? who stood out the most to you?” yen questioned turning all focus to the panel of judges.
“i thought this week was fun, we got to see a different side to the angels usual concepts,” hyuna spoke first , making sunmi and j-hope nod along with her. “i personally really enjoyed ricky’s performance, it was so fun to watch. her expressions made it that much more entertaining.”
the camera focused on ricky as she bowed at the praise. her features stretched out in a bright smile as chloe squeezed her hand beside her happy for her new best friend.
“i think mine was yuri’s performance of ‘GOTTA GO’. she surprised me in a good way. i was not expecting her to stand out the way she did but i’m glad she did. i’m proud of her.” sunmi answered.
on stage yuri visibly blushed as she repeatedly bowed. her soft ‘thank you’ making sunmi smile sweetly.
“hmmm all the angels were truly excelled this week ,” j-hope chuckled , resting his head on his hand. “none of the performances were boring. did some have room for growth in technique terms? of course, but pretty much everyone performed well.”
“yeah, yeah, yeah. who was your favourite?” hyuna jokingly pushed making everyone laugh.
“if i had to pick i think my favourite would be summer’s cover of ‘DARE’. her lines were clean and moves sharp. it was great to see her do a much darker concept. you can tell why she is where she is.”
summer nodded happily as a response to j-hope’s comments. she had always been a huge fan of BTS and it took everything within her not to fangirl hearing her idol praise her for her performance.
“what about the groups what did you think?” nova questioned once again.
the judges shared a look with each other before hyuna leaned into her mic, “honestly group one really surprised us this week. im really impressed with their performance of ‘FAKE LOVE’.” the idol leaned forward to be in her fellow judge’s line of sight. “j-hope, was it up to standard?”
“it was definitely up to standard they really destroyed the performance. i feel honoured truly.” he chuckled
the entirety of group one laughed at his comment. each of the angels thanking him in their own regard, their pride evident in their faces the entire time. in juxtaposition the camera pans to team two who’s faces look less than impressed with
“overall, i’d say everyone did great today, yes there is definitely room for improvement but and i don’t think i’d be wrong if i said all us judges are proud of every single one of the angels on a successful first week,” sunmi concluded. hyuna and j-hope hummed in agreement and nodded along to every word she said. she sent the angels a reassuring thumbs up to try soothe the obvious nerves of all the angels on stage.

the lights dimmed as the entire mood of the studio shifted.
“even though all our angels deserve to soar high sadly for one angel their wings will be cut.” nova spoke, her serious tone emphasizing the tension in the studio.
“before we show the results here’s a refresher on how voting works: you have been voting all week for your favourite angel and those votes contribute 50 points each. these points are added to the group points.” she looked over at yen to signal her to say her next lines.
“but today’s episode has a special twist,” yen turned to the camera with a pause. “two angels will be going home today.” behind the hosts the angels heads snapped up in panic. none of them were aware of the double elimination.
“the first will be the angel with the lowest rank from the losing team, and the other will be the angel with the lowest overall ranking, even if she’s part of the winning team she’ll leave the show today.”
the silence in the studio was deafening. none of the angels dared say a word as they waited in anticipation for the results. the angels stood in the groups as they linked hands to give each other support.
“without further ado, let’s see the results.” nova spoke directing everyone’s eyes to the screen where everyone’s rankings were plastered.

yuri brought her hands to her mouth, frozen in shock.
“i was not expecting to make it another week honestly,” she spoke in disbelief. “after being outshined by ricky all week, i thought it was over but here i am!” she giggled covering her mouth to hide the broad smile taking over her features.
baebi hugged her excitedly. her smile not only reflecting her pride in yuri’s high rank but also her own first place rank. pushing aside her dissatisfaction with their team losing she still was proud of what they’d done.
the same positivity was not felt as dahlia and jade saw the score board. as their team came last they knew someone was in jeopardy of going home but neither of them would’ve guessed it would be dahlia.
frozen in shock jade turned to dahlia who’s hand had flown up to her mouth as her eyes welled up. jade made quick movement to comfort dahlia before she fully broke down.
“don’t let them see you cry you know this says nothing about your talent or potential.” she whispered into dahlia’s ear. the older girl nodded along with jade’s words as she took deep breaths. as much as she was balanced now it still didn’t feel fair.
“dahlia doesn’t deserve this. she is one of the most talented girls here.” jade folded her arms as she turned her head to the side. “i can’t believe dahlia is gone and voice crack ricky is in the top 5. it doesn’t feel right.”
on the other team the girls huddle in an excited hug at their teams first place ranking. their teams ranking is what saved ame that week and she knew it. she had the second lowest rank of her team aside from jay who unfortunately had the least votes that week overall.
“at least some people voted for me”, she spoke to the camera as she let out a sigh. “i’ll just have to work extra hard next week,” she nodded as she encourage herself, trying her best to maintain the smile on her face no matter what.
in contrast to the rest of the girls , jay couldn’t keep her facade up. despite the positive energy around her she couldn’t stop the silent sobs that left her. she didn’t want her journey to end so abruptly, she deserved to stay longer mimi hanged her tightly as she let the taller girl cry into her shoulder. her eyes glossed over along with jays as she knew she was going to miss her, jay was one of the girls she’d grown closest to besides eden.
“i’m obviously going to miss jay,” mimi spoke softly wiping away at her tears. “she’s so talented i’m so sad to see her go. this week didn’t showcase her charms to the fullest,” she shook her head sadly as she sniffled.
the two eliminated girls took a step forward standing center stage as the judges said their last words.
“dahlia, how are you feeling?” nova asked as her teammates lovingly rubbed her back.
taking a deep breath dahlia spoke into the mic that was handed to her. “i’m obviously disappointed. our group didn’t go as planned and i just feel like i didn’t get to fully showcase what i’m capable of.” she sniffles loudly towards the end as she tried her best to hold in her tears.
“dahlia, you’re a talented girl. it's sad because it really felt as if you didn’t know why you were here, i couldn’t feel your passion and you need that to sell a performance.” sunmi spoke her eyebrows furrowed and lips downturned.
dahlia nodded, a sad tight lipped smile on her features as she handed to mic back. she was so focused on the rest of the team not messing up as well as feeling cheated out of the roll of main vocalist played against her. and it was too late to try again all she could do is find the spark that once lit a flame of passion in her and try again outside the show.
“jay,” j-hope sighed as the tall girl bowed her head unable to even look at the judges. “it’s sad seeing you go,” he admitted with a pout. “but i think it’s because you just haven’t found your sparkle yet and i think that’s something you have to do outside of ‘seraph’. but don’t give up and keep up the good work , and I’m sure you’ll be the next big thing.” all jay could do was nod, even having been handed the mic she couldn’t speak a word.
the focus shifted from the bottom 2 girls to ame who although safe still looked as distraught as the other angels.
“ame, you were so close to the bottom this week,” hyuna pointed out to which ame nodded her face sullen and disappointed. “you got lucky tonight but don’t let your guard down,” she pointed at the girl, giving her a knowing look. “something needs to change or you’ll be the next to say goodbye.” she warned. ame nodded once again taking a respectful bow.
the cameras focused back on the two hosts as the girls regrouped behind them.
the two girls descended the platform. dahlia wrapped her arm around jay as she still sobbed uncontrollably. the two made their way off stage waving to the remaining angels before exiting the studio completely and making their way to the dorms to pack up their belongings.
“it’s always sad to see and angel take off, especially so early in the show,” yen sighed sadly. nova hummed in agreement,” but sadly that’s how the show goes.”
“but let’s not focus on only the negatives but some positives. ladies and gentlemen give it up for our remaining 10 angels!” nova cheered making the studio erupt in excited claps and cheers. “congratulations girls you’ve made the top 10 out of hundreds of applicants!” the girls cheered once again as their moods lifted a significant amount compared to the somber mood earlier.
“that’s it for this episode! stay tuned to see how the angels spread their wings and soar through weekly challenges and compete to be a part of the ultimate super group !” yen ran over her signature closing line once again, sharing a sweet smile with her cohost
“thanks to everyone who participated and we’ll see you next week !” nova chimed in mirroring yen’s bright smile.
“goodbye !” they chorused as the 2 hosts waved at the camera before it zoomed out to focus on everyone in the studio.

BTS Reaction || Best Friends Brother
A/n: for real! I try and aim for like 600 words each and then others are just like NAH BRO YOU GONNA HAVE 800-900 A PIECE. Like I’m sorry if some are shorter than the other, I don’t mean them to be. I love all 7 of my boys, they all cute and all deserve love
Seokjin:
You’d grown up with your best friend, you spent every moment you could together since the moment you could both walk, she had an older brother named Seokjin, everyone called him Jin though but you didn’t, you called him Seokjin because you knew it annoyed him a little, in retaliation he called you Midge, short for midget, claiming it was just right for you. You both constantly teased one another and bickered like an old married couple, everyone, including your best friend, always said you’d be together but you could never imagine it, no after so many years of knowing him, you’d practically grown up alongside him.
You had been single your entire life, not that there was anything wrong with that but you were 23 years old and still hadn’t had your first kiss, or held someone’s hand who didn’t love you like a little sister or was your literal family member. You were starting to think there was something wrong with you, you never voiced this opinions to anyone else because…you didn’t want to seem like you were bothered by it, many people were single until their late 30’s, some never even got married and it’s not like you weren’t trying, you were. But it was as if Men stayed away from you as if you had a huge sign above your head telling them to stay away. In reality, it wasn’t a giant sign above your head, it was Jin, he was constantly telling guys to stay away from you, that you were bad news or that you had someone else. Whenever someone new would come along and take interest in you, he would threaten them. He couldn’t stand to see you with someone else who wasn’t him, even if you weren’t together yet.
“Is there something wrong with me?” You asked one night, you’d been drinking with your friend all night and she went out to buy more booze, you were sat on the sofa next to Jin who was playing video games alone, you laid your head down on his shoulder to stop the room from spinning so much and he looked at you, a small smile turning on his lips as he watched your eyelids flutter shut.
“What do you mean?” He chuckled pausing his game and wrapping an arm around your shoulder, you giggled snuggling against him and wanting to lay there all night.
“I’ve been single my entire life…maybe I’m broken, maybe I’m supposed to just grow old and buy a cat.” You whispered, sobering up a little as the moments passed and you began to think everything over.
“I don’t think you’re broken.” He murmured, now feeling guilty for every guy he pushed away from you, maybe it was wrong for him to push them away, it’s not like you were stopping girls from getting to him.
“I should join a dating app like your sister, maybe I’ll find someone that way.” You took out your phone but he swatted it again,
“No!” You blinked at him, and then looked at your phone that was now on the floor facing up.
“No?” You questioned, he bit down on his lip debating to tell you everything he’d been feeling since the moment you turned 16, the moment you changed the way he thought about you.
“Seeing you with someone else makes me sick to my stomach.” You stared at him confused for a second, he continued talking.
“I’ve liked you since you were 16…You did that stupid dance mash-up with my sister and you looked dorky and cute…I fell hard and there’s nothing wrong with you, it’s what’s wrong with me.” You were still trying to process everything he was saying to you,
“I told guys to stay away from you, that’s why you’ve been single, I didn’t want people taking what was mine.” He admitted, you said nothing, you only moved closer to him, looked into his eyes and then down at his lips before leaning in and kissing him.
You wanted nothing more than to stay on the sofa making out with him but the front door was starting to open meaning your best friend was home.
“We’ll talk more tomorrow.” You whispered in his ear before going to help your friend inside.
Yoongi:
It was stupid to get involved with your best friends brother, you knew that when you started dating and you knew it the moment you stopped dating. You’d dated Yoongi from 16 till 20 when he went off to become a big rap star in his band. It hurt that he left you the way he did but you knew he needed to achieve his dreams, still it didn’t make being around him easier whenever he came back home for a visit. No one knew about your four-year relationship, you’d kept it hidden from everyone, including your best friend, you didn’t want to risk her finding out and being upset about it. So it stayed a secret, something only you and Yoongi knew about, you were madly in love with one another and spent whatever time you could together. Late-night dates when your friend was asleep at a sleepover, sneaking out of the house to be with him, going on long late-night walks together, hand in hand where you could be a real couple, only to return to ignoring each other in front of your best friend.
When he left you things changed, it was hard to be around your friend sometimes, whenever you’d look at her, you would see Yoongi staring back at you, they did have the same eyes Afterall, whenever you’d stay over at her place and have a nightmare you couldn’t go running to Yoongi with it, he wasn’t there to look after you and it wasn’t his job to anymore, he left you. Alone. Whenever he would come home for a break you would make up excuse after excuse not to come around to see your friend, you were either too busy with work, studies or sick. You couldn’t risk seeing his face, seeing how happy he’d become while you were still left behind, falling apart because the one you loved didn’t love you back anymore.

“Just come round! No one is home and I’m so bored!” Your best friend said down the phone to you, you looked at the clock beside your bed and sighed, it was 7 pm on a Saturday and you had nothing better to do. You knew Yoongi was due back any day but your best friend hadn’t mentioned anything meaning he probably wasn’t back yet.
“Fine, but I’m expecting snacks!” You said, taking the car keys from your cabinet and heading towards your garage, you could hear her yelling from the other end, and some cupboard doors, meaning she was getting things ready for you.

You’d missed spending time with her like this, it was carefree and nice. You’d both started watching movies together, then it lead to a pamper night, facemasks, nails and a bubble bath. It felt good to have fun around her and to relax, you’d missed being able to do that. Now she was asleep on the sofa next to you while you finished the movie that was playing on the TV, the doorbell rang and you frowned, you knew nothing could wake up your best friend once she was asleep so you got up and went to answer the door, standing there with a suitcase in the rain was Yoongi.
“Oh. Hi.” You said moving out of the way so he could come in, you looked at the sofa.
“She’s asleep…I can wake her up if you want?” He shook his head, his eyes trained on you, you looked down at your outfit, you were dressed in booty shorts and a tank top, you suddenly felt insecure about it and walked into the living room.
“I was about to get dressed and leave.” You lied taking your clothes from the sofa and going towards the bathroom, you were almost safe inside when he pushed you inside, pushing your back against the door and locking it.
“You’ve been avoiding me.” He spoke, you stared at him as if he was crazy.
“Well…that’s what happens when people break up Yoongi…they avoid one another.” You pushed him away from you and tried to leave but he put his hand on the door to stop you.
“You’re mad at me? For leaving you?” You stayed silent, not wanting to talk about it.
“Look I made my choices and you made yours,” That was it, you’d heard enough, you turned around to face him, tears in your eyes as you tried your best not to let them roll down your cheeks.
“Bullshit! You made your choice and I was forced to deal with the shit show you left behind!” You whisper yelled at him, the tears finally flowing as you let out what you finally felt, you still loved him, of course, you did. You didn’t think you would ever stop, no matter what. He was always going to be your true love. As you were about to leave his hands gripped your wrist and he kissed you, all thoughts going out of the window you just kissed him back
Hoseok:
Secretly dating your best friends brother was supposed to be easy, simple and nice. Except it wasn’t easy, and it wasn’t simple but it was very nice. It started by accident, which was cliche to say but it was true. You’d mentioned in passing to him that on your bucket list was to go to the beach at 3 am, it was a dumb goal, you’d seen it on Pinterest a million times before and it looked like fun, a week later he showed up at your door, or rather your balcony door and took you to the beach.
“Hoseok? It’s 1 in the morning what are you doing here?” You grumbled opening in the balcony window, he smiled at you and pointed down to the car waiting for you both.
“Beach at 3 am remember? It’s a two-hour drive so I packed snacks, blankets and music.” You were shocked at first, your best friends brother was spending time with you alone, but you didn’t care, you grabbed some leggings and a coat, changing into them and went out to the car, climbing down the balcony because you didn’t want to get caught by your parents.

You’d spent the entire morning on the beach, watching the sunrise over the sea and then going to get breakfast at a nearby cafe, where he pretended to propose to you for a free breakfast meal. On the way back to the car is when he admitted his feelings for you, telling you how he’d liked you since the moment you stepped foot into his sister’s life and how he didn’t think he could spend another moment as just your friends brother, he wanted more, he wanted to be your boyfriend.
That’s how it started. A simple, not so date, date on the beach. You made it your goal to go to the beach together for 3 am once a month, making it a tradition together. But the longer you dated the harder it came to hiding it from your friend, it was harder to hide where you’d been all night on the same night her brother was missing, it was harder to explain why you couldn’t date someone she was trying to set you up with and it was harder to watch when her other friends flirted with Hoseok right in front of you.

Hoseok and you had been dating for 11 months now, and it was the night you would normally go to the beach together, he was coming to pick you up like he normally would and you were waiting on your balcony for him.
“Baby! Come on!” He whispered up to you, you went climbing down the balcony and headed to the car, holding his hands on the gearstick as he drove, if you hadn’t been so invested in spending time with him you would have noticed the car following behind you as you drove to the beach together.

“So this is where you both go?!” You stood up from the floor and turned to see your best friend staring at you, red in the face as she looked at you and then to Hoseok.
“Y/BF/N!” You stepped towards her but she moved away staring at you, shaking her head as she looked at Hoseok, he wrapped his hand around yours and you looked at him nervously, it was now or never.
“I can’t believe you! You’re dating him! After all the shit I gave everyone else for flirting with him.” It was true, she didn’t want her friends to flirt or date her brother but you couldn’t help it, you were in love with him.
“You don’t understand-” She shook her head at you, and turned to face her brother.
“And you! You! I warned you not to date any of my friends!” She screamed, she was drawing attention from early walkers now and you swallowed the lump that was in your throat.
“I love him.” You called out, she stopped mid-rant and turned to you, hands on her hip with a smirk on her face.
“Love? You, love him? Do you even know what love is?” You looked down at the floor and dropped Hoseok’s hand, you didn’t want to be a reason a brother and sister would fall out.
“Y/N. Wait.” Hobi said grabbing your wrist again and turning to his sister.
“I’ve been in love with her for a while now Y/BF/N…There is nothing you can say or do to change my mind. You can hate me, you can ignore me but don’t shut her out just because she’s dating me.” She stared at you both, the way he rubbed small circles along you knuckles to try and calm you down.
“I don’t want to hear about dates, or how much you love one another…and I want my best friend to spend time with me too…not just you.” She ordered at her brother before leaving you to your beach date.
Namjoon:
It was your best friends birthday which meant a big party was being thrown in celebration of her, which is great but you would rather be at home, in bed, with a book, than out in a club that was rented out for her, with a lot of people crowding around and trying to see the birthday girl, you were happy for her of course but big parties weren’t your style, you’d rather have a small meal together than a big outrageous party. You figured you could get away with sneaking a small book into your handbag, and then going to sit at the back of the club alone to read all night, she was going to be busy with other people so she wouldn’t notice you not drinking too much or not dancing a lot.
“You! Me! Dance! Now!” She yelled taking your hand as soon as you walked through the club doors, she took you handbag and handed it to Namjoon, her older brother, who looked at you sympathetically, he knew you didn’t do big parties, and neither did he. He put the handbag over his shoulder, knowing you didn’t trust anyone with your things.
“Happy Birthday!” You yelled as she took you out onto the dance floor and started dancing, it wasn’t your thing but you did your best to dance along with her, a man with a tray of shots came over and she took four, handing two to you and two to herself, downing them and egging you on to do the same.

She finally let you leave the dance floor and you went off to find Namjoon, so you could get your handbag which had a bottle of water inside, you needed it after the drinks she’d been handing you, one after another. You spotted him sitting at the back with your book in his hand, you smiled going to walk over when a guy took hold of your waist and pulled you against his back, grinding into you in time with the music.
“Get off me you creep!” You yelled turning around and smacking him across the cheek, you scoffed turning away and leaving him, standing next to Namjoon who was infested in the book and hadn’t noticed you.
“You always bring books to parties?” You joked, sliding into the seat in front of him, he laughed looking up from the pages and at you.
“Teen romance isn’t my first choice.” He said handing it over to you, you looked at where he’d gotten to and smiled.
“The part where he comes to rescue his boyfriend from the Mage, romantic and daring.” You smirked shutting the “Carry On” book and sliding it into the handbag he’d given back.
“You’re being watched.” He commented pointing over your shoulder at the guy you had just slapped across the face.
“I smacked him, creep kept grinding on me.” You shuddered, he was making his way over so Namjoon moved to sit next to you, you were confused but stayed silent.
“Hey baby, come and dance again. I know someone who is really missing you right now.” The guy said rubbing his hand across the crotch of his pants, you were about to open your mouth to speak but Namjoon beat you to it.
“She’s not interested, she’s got a boyfriend.” He took your hand in his and smirked at the guy in front of you, who was starting to turn a red colour.
“She was grinding on my dick man, you better watch her. She’s bad news.” Namjoon turned to look at you with a smirk and then back to the guy.
“She’s my bad girl.” You felt a heat rush to your face and between your legs as soon as the words left his mouth.

As soon as the guy left you excused yourself, going to stand outside and get some air, the feeling of Namjoon’s hand on yours and him calling you his bad girl was doing things to you, you’d never imagined before.
“Where’s your boyfriend now?” You groaned turning to face the same guy from inside the club, he ran his hand along your cheek while the other snaked its way around your waist, dragging your body into him.
“No big tough guy to protect you now.” He was about to kiss you when Namjoon punched him in the jaw sending him onto the floor, you screamed running into Namjoon’s arm, your head on his chest.
“Listen here psycho, if you lay a finger on Y/N again, I’ll kill you!” You hit his chest with your fist, people were starting to stare at you, and his sister was standing in the door.
“Joonie…people are looking, come on.” You whispered taking hold of his hand, instantly his shoulders relaxed as you touched him and he moved away from the guy, you took him over to a calmer area and looked at him.
“He’s gone, I’m fine. Look at me I’m fine.” He stared at you, biting his lip.
“I couldn’t stand the thought of him- Of him kissing you, or touching you.” He moved a hair from your face and you looked at his lips.
“Kiss me.” He stared at you dumbfounded.
“Kiss me Namjoon.” You pleaded, he didn’t need to be told a third time, he bent down and connected your lips with his, a cheering coming from his sister who had been watching the entire interaction.
Jimin:
You’d slept over at your friend’s house a billion times before and you were bond to sleep over a billion times again. You had been best friends since you were both in nappies, she was your best friend, you told her everything and anything, except the fact that you had caught her twin brother with her other friends before, making out at parties or out on dates together, he made you promise you’d never tell her about the dates he had with them, or kisses they shared or he’d reveal your biggest secret. He knew your biggest secret thanks to your dumb hiding place for a journal, hiding a journal under your pillow isn’t a great hiding place when your best friends twin brother is nosey and likes to have dirt on you, but the secret he thought he knew he didn’t know the full truth of, he thought you had a crush on one of his friends, which wasn’t true at all, the crush you had was on him but you couldn’t tell him he’d read the journal wrong because he would just ask who you had a real crush on, so it went on like that. He would threaten to tell his friend you liked him unless you kept his secret, meanwhile, you fell harder and harder for the guy that would never like you back

You were out with your best friend for a day of shopping and coffee, you’d spent the morning walking around the mall looking for new outfits for her, she was going out on some big date and wanted to look nice so you agreed to help her find something to wear. Currently, you were sitting in a cafe waiting for her to come back from the toilet when Jimin walked in with another friend of hers, you instantly felt your heart sink to the floor as he wrapped his arm around her waist and kissed her on the lips, you looked at him and then to the floor not wanting your heart to break any more than it already had.
“Y/N? What are you doing here?” Jimin asked coming over and standing next to the chair, his date by his side who was smiling at you, you’d met her before, she was quite close with Y/BF/N and it hurt to know she was flirting with her friend’s brother when Y/BF/N wanted no one to date him.
“I’m here with Y/BF/N…you might want to leave unless you want her to find out you’re being a skank with her brother.” The harsh words left your mouth before your brain even had time to register what you were saying, Jimin let out a chuckle as his date screamed in shock at you,
“Jimin! Say something!” She demanded but Jimin continued to laugh along at what you had said, she scoffed smacking him and walking away, you rolled your eyes at Jimin and looked at your phone, sending a quick text to your friend explaining how you felt sick and would leave her bags with the cashier.

Jimin followed you out of the cafe and into the street, you knew he was following you but you ignored him going to find a taxi to take you home, you were mad and upset at yourself for letting your feelings for Jimin come out in that way,
“Were you jealous of her?” You stopped dead in your tracks, like a deer in headlights, you turned to look at Jimin in silence and it’s as if you could see the cogs in his mind slowly start to turn as he realised you didn’t have feelings for his friend at all…they were for him.
“You were, weren’t you?” You stayed silent shaking your head and trying to act as though it was a dumb accusation.
“Tell me the truth Y/N.” He said backing you up against a wall, your back hit the brick wall and his arm was above your head, you looked up into his eyes and wanted to grab him and kiss him, you wanted him to pin you against the wall like you’d seen him do with other girls and make out with you.
“No. I don’t, that’s dumb.” You stuttered out, your hands shaking, he smirked taking his hand and rubbing your cheek with his thumb.
“Then why are you shaking?” He whispered in your ear, you bit down on your lip resisting the urge to kiss him, you loved your friendship more than you liked him, he wasn’t worth throwing it all away for.
“All this time I thought you liked Tae and I was trying to make you jealous…guess you liked me all this time.” You stared at him and he moved away from you.
“I’ll take you out on a date…I’ll ask Y/BF/N first, getting permission and whatnot, it’ll make her like the idea of us being together even more.” He bent down and picked up the bag you had dropped, leaving a small kiss on your cheek before going back to the cafe where his sister was.
Taehyung:
You had been best friends with Y/BF/N since you moved in next door to her at the age of 18, and you had regular sleepovers at one another’s house, but there was one problem with sleepovers, You suffered from frequent nightmares, it wasn’t a big deal to anyone else but to you it was. They felt all too real everything that happened in your nightmares felt traumatic to you, it would bring up old memories you had forgotten and forge no ways in your mind for them to torture you with. The only person who knew about these nightmares was your best friends brother, Taehyung, he found you one night on the airbed during a sleepover, whimpering in your sleep, tears streaming down your cheeks and you were fidgeting. He tried to wake you up but when he touched you he found it stopped you from moving so much, the whimpering stopped completely and you relaxed against his touch, he ended up waking you up and asking you about the nightmare, that was when you explained them to him, you laid against his shoulder as you explained the stories of your nightmares, and you ended up falling asleep on him, but no nightmare happened. You had a peaceful nights sleep for once. You’d never really had an entire night of peaceful sleep with no nightmares before and it felt nice to finally get some decent rest, you would wake up feeling refreshed instead of tired from all the shaking you did.

It continued that way for months, whenever you would go to bed at home Taehyung would sneak through the window to come and sleep next to you, he was the only one that could make the nightmares go away, his touch or him just being there made your mind at ease, it was great for him as well because he couldn’t sleep without holding something, a person or a pillow. He slept soundly with you wrapped in his arms, listening to your breathing as you finally slept peacefully, he would constantly set an early alarm so no one at home would notice he was missing during the night and you would always get up at the same time to start an early day, finding it hard to sleep without him being next to you, but outside of the bedroom you hardly spoke a word to one another, you would say hello and how are you in passing but there was never any conversation there, even on a night time you would just sleep next to one another, or curled up together.
Tonight was different, tonight you were stopping over at your friends house for a birthday sleepover, you didn’t think it would be that much of a big deal, you could sneak up to see Taehyung when she finally drifted off but she hadn’t just invited you round, she invited all her friends around which meant it was going to be harder to be alone with Tae.

Taehyung came down at 3 am to check on you, and he found you on the sofa, whimpering and crying in your sleep again, he’d come up with the idea of you sleeping in one of his shirts and some shorts it was an idea that if you could smell him maybe it would help a little but it was clear the plan had failed dramatically, it pained him to see you this way, he checked his sister and her friends were all asleep before he bent down, picking you up bridal style and carrying you up the stairs, you stirred a little, laying your hand on his bare chest and smiling in your sleep.
“Tae.” You moaned out, he almost dropped you from the sound of your moan, you’d never moaned out his name in your sleep before, he laid you down in his bed and covered you with the sheets, as soon as the contact with him left you were whimpering out again, and he climbed into the bed next to you.
“I’m here baby.” He whispered pulling your head against his chest, one arm going around your waist and rubbing small patterns against the area of exposed skin, you hummed against his chest and snuggled against him.
“Love you Tae.” You whispered out, he smiled, the rubbing stopped and he kissed the top of your head.
“Love you too Y/N.”
Jungkook:
You were going out on a date, a blind date, you hated blind dates, actually you hated any dates at all. They weren’t your thing, you wanted to just be left alone with your crush that would never happen but your best friend insisted on you going out with the guy she’d found for you, he was “the perfect match,” she said to you but you knew that was a lie, your perfect match was her brother Jungkook but it was never going to happen, he saw you as his little sisters annoying best friend who was always around her. You weren’t little though, you were a young woman so you had to get over this crush, it was stupid, a crush at your age. So you agreed to go on the date, but now looking back on it you wish you hadn’t. It was the night of the date and you were panicking about what to wear, you’d gotten changed into a short tight fitted black dress and you looked at yourself in the mirror, feeling insecure, you grabbed your keys and headed to the front door, slipping into some black vans and putting on a coat over the top of your dress. You began the drive to your best friends house.

After ringing the doorbell countless numbers of times someone finally answered,
“Y/BF/N!” You yelled moving past Jungkook ans going into the house, he stared at you confused and you shouted out her name again.
“She’s not here, her and parents went out for the night.” He said still staring at you, he noticed your legs were bare and you were wearing a coat.
“Where? I have to see her, she has to cancel this stupid date.” You said, your eyes finally meeting his, his were wide at the mention of a date and he walked you through to the living room, he sat down on the sofa while you paced in front of him.
“A date? You’re going on a date?” You shook your head.
“Not anymore, I can’t, it’s stupid. I don’t know why I agreed, I don’t like him I like someone else!” You said you were starting to get nervous now as you realised you were alone with Jungkook and his eyes were on you.
“I feel like I can’t breathe, I’m in this stupid dress, I look awful and I don’t want to go out with some creep I don’t know!” You whimpered finally sitting on the coffee table and keeping the coat wrapped around you tightly.
“A date though? A real date? You were going to go out with someone?” You groaned throwing your hands on your face.
“Yes Jungkook a date, keep up, fuck I can’t breathe in this dress.” You wanted to cry but he stood up and went over to a nearby washing pile taking one of his shirts and handing it to you.
“Go get changed, come back down and we can have a movie night. You and me, I’ll call Y/BF/N I’ll have her cancel the date and you can chill out here.” You nodded and took the shirt from him going over to the bathroom to get changed.

“Jungkook?” You called from the bathroom door, he looked over from the TV set and you smiled.
“Can you help me?” You questioned, he came over and you opened the door, letting him inside and looking at the floor nervously.
“The zip is stuck and I can’t get it off.” You turned your back and moved the hair out of the way, he came closer to you and put one of his hands on your waist and the other on the zip, his breath catching in his throat as he noticed you weren’t wearing a bra with it.
“You’re not wearing anything underneath.” He whispered out, finally getting the zipper down, you held it around your body and turned to look at him, he had a blush on his cheeks and so did you.
“It didn’t look right with underwear.” You said back to him in a whisper, neither of you understanding why you were whispering.
“Were you expecting to get lucky?” You stared at him and then laughed a little at his comment, you coughed trying not to laugh too hard.
“No, I didn’t think I would be getting lucky, I didn’t even want to go out with him.” He nodded, turning to leave but then stopping and looking at you again.
“Before you said you don’t like him, you like someone else…who?” You blinked at him, the dress still clutched around you and you bit on your lip.
“I don’t think it’s a good idea to tell you.” He smirked, all of his nerves gone now he came back over to you and played with the strap of the dress which was hanging loosely on your shoulder.
“Oh I think it’s a good idea.” He bent down, his face inches away from yours.
“See…I always thought you liked me, you’d blush whenever I was around or whenever I spoke a word to you…and now…You’re blushing now and I haven’t even touched you.” You gulped and looked at his eyes and then to his lips.
“It’s me isn’t it? It’s always been me.” He whispered in your ear, that was it, it was enough to have you weak at the knees, you threw your arms around him not caring that the dress was dropping and kissed him.
“It’s always you.” You panted between the kiss, he smirked wrapping his arms around you and picking you up.
“Good.”

If the borders refuse me, I refuse them

I mentioned this project to a friend. She immediately said: You should talk to Ghayath Almadhoun.
Ghayath Almadhoun is a poet whose poetry has touched me. He is also a poet working with several languages, living and writing in many places. Finding a time when we could meet was a challenge, due to his frequent travelling. I’m happy we managed. His account of travelling for work brings together the personal and the political, the funny and the sad, the historical and the present, in extraordinary ways.
Ghayath Almadhoun:
I travel for many reasons that I hardly understand. Some of them started already in childhood. I was born in Damascus, with a Palestinian father and a Syrian mother, in the Yarmouk refugee camp for Palestinians. It was just tents when they founded it in 1948, but now it has become buildings, part of the city. The first questions in my life were: What are we? Why do they say that we are not Syrian but Palestinian? Why, then, am I not in Palestine?
It was very difficult for my father to explain to a six-year-old why land in Asia provided a solution for the antisemitism and racism against the Jews in Europe. But later, things became even more complicated. I discovered that I am not Palestinian-Syrian. I am a Palestinian from Syria. The Palestinian-Syrians are the Palestinians who arrived to Syria in 1948, when Israel occupied eighty per cent of Palestine. As the United States, the Soviet Union and Europe all accepted this, the Arabic governments understood that the land that was occupied had become Israel. As a solution, they gave the refugees all the papers they needed. So those who arrived from Palestine to Syria in 1948 have the same civil rights as the Syrian people.
But our family came after the occupation of Gaza, in 1967. When Israel occupied the Gaza strip, the West Bank, the Golan Heights from Syria, Sinai from Egypt and some parts of Jordan, the international community said: “This is occupation, and Israel should leave.” The Arabic nations then decided to not give any papers to these Palestinians in order to not provide any solutions for Israel.
I found myself growing up without civil rights. I was not allowed to work. I was not allowed to take driving lessons. I was not allowed to leave the country, and if I did leave for any reason, I would not be allowed back. As we were not allowed to own a house, the house is in the name of my mother, who is Syrian. But if she died, the government would take the house and sell it. This, that I couldn’t inherit, was the thing that hurt me the most.
When I understood that I was already born outside, in exile, as they say, I became fascinated by the idea that there are no borders. If the borders refuse me, I refuse them. When I began to study, I also understood that my father was a poet. I began to think about poetry. I felt connected to many Surahs in the Quran, such as The Poet’s Surah, Surah 26. At the end of the Surah, it says:
“And the poets – the deviators follow them;
Do you not see that in every valley they roam
And that they say what they do not do?”
Travelling is the reality of Arab poets, and poetry is very much connected to travelling in the Arabic tradition. Take the most famous Arabic poet El Mutanabbi. In the 800th century, he travelled, but most of all, his poetry travelled. If El Mutanabbi said a poem in Bagdad, the people in Damascus got it in a matter of hours by pigeon. From there, it went everywhere. His poem would arrive in Andalusia within a week. He himself came two months later.
So, I began to write poetry. My friends all went to Beirut, to Jordan or anywhere. They got invitations to go and read there. But I couldn’t travel, because I didn’t have a passport, papers or even an ID. So, the pressure began to build inside. This continued until I turned thirty, in 2008. Then I left the country. I made a sort of fake passport and went to Sweden. After I got a real Swedish passport, it’s: “Catch me if you can!”
The travelling is also connected to my writing. For example, I could visit a place, read about it, discuss it and then I write a poem. I did it for example when Assad used chemical weapons on the suburbs of Damascus. Many people got killed in the first attack with the nerve gas sarin. There were 1,400 deaths, out of which 900 were women and children. I saw these bodies shaking. The pupils of the eyes go small. I started to think about chemicals. And I found that the first chemical attack happened in the city of Ypres in Belgium, on 22 April,1915. I went there for the 100th anniversary of that event. I visited 170 cemeteries. They counted 600,000 graves, and I visited all of them in two weeks. At one gate, they have written the names of all the dead soldiers no matter where they came from – France, England, Canada. They play music in honour of one of them every day and speak about what they know about that specific soldier. They had done this for eighty years without stopping for one single day. Even during the Second World War, they played every day. The problem is that they need 600,000 days to finish the names. I listened to such concerts for fourteen days. Then I wrote a poem that moves between the past and the present, Ypres, Syria and Palestine.
Another time, I went to Antwerp to do research about blood diamonds. But during that month, thousands of people started to drown in the Mediterranean. So, my poem started with blood diamonds and ended with Syrians drowning in the sea. By the way, this is not political poetry, this is my life.
So, all in all: I travel in order to write. I’m making up for what I missed when I was without papers. I’m a travelling poet like in the Quran. And I’m born in no country, so I don’t believe in borders. But the main reason why I’m travelling like I have been doing now, 345 days a year and not even staying in Sweden for a full week, is another.
When I came to Sweden, I accepted Stockholm as my city because Damascus was in the background. Every time I felt tired of being a foreigner, I remembered that Damascus was there, that one day I could go back and feel relief. In 2011, the Syrian revolution began. I really supported it, and it made my hopes of going to Damascus grow. But people I knew got killed, family members, almost all my friends. Cities I knew were destroyed. And the dictatorship won. The country was destroyed. My hopes of ever going back were lower than ever. Damascus disappeared from my background. Everything was shaken. Also, Stockholm didn’t belong to me anymore.
What broke me was my brother. I lost him on 2 April 2016, killed by Assad. I was on tour: I was supposed to spend fifteen days in Holland. The second gig was with Anne Vegter, the poet of the nation. We finished our discussion. I went outside and I put the mobile on. Then my other brother called and told me. I disappeared from the universe for two hours. I woke up with people around me. We went to our friend’s house and I asked him to book me a ticket to Stockholm. The coming twenty-four hours were the most difficult in my life. While the plane was over Denmark, I understood there was something wrong. I wanted to tell the pilot to stop and let me off. Why was I going to Stockholm and not Damascus? Stockholm is even further away from Damascus. What is the difference if I cry in Amsterdam or if I cry in Stockholm?
So I started travelling this way. As I see it, the best way to survive trauma is to be on the road. When you arrive, the problems will come. I noticed this in someone I know who was in Syria for four years during the bombings. He lost all his friends. People died in his arms. ISIS arrested him before he left the country. His trip here took eight months. All that time, he was doing ok. But when he got here, it took forty days and then the post trauma hit him. That made me even more scared. So, I began to ask myself: What will happen if I begin to travel and never let myself arrive? The panic attacks will wait for me to be settled. But what if I don’t settle?
After the death of my brother I wrote a poem. The writing took place in maybe sixty places, twenty countries. If I would sign it with the names of the cities, that would be as long as the poem.
What held me in this is that somebody else paid most of my tickets and travels. In this sense, I survived through poetry twice. On one hand, it’s about writing for survival; writing what hurts me on a paper. But then there are the festivals and the residences and the scholarships bringing me from here to there. Many of these festivals were shocked that I only needed one ticket. Germany pays my ticket from France. Belgium pays my ticket from Germany. Everyone pays only to bring me.
It happens that there are holes in the schedule, maybe even seven days empty. I fill these holes in order to not stay. I ask the festival to make my ticket longer and I pay the hotel myself before I go to the next festival. Or, if the ticket can’t be changed, I book a flight to the Arabic book fairs. In Arabic countries, the book fairs are two to three weeks long. And they schedule them in a systematic way, so they cover the whole year. Any time you want to go to a book fair in an Arabic country, you can. There are around 540 million Arabic-speaking people in the world, in 22 countries with 22 totally different cultures. So, when you go there to sign your book, there will be completely different receptions. You’re a star in Kuwait, they hate you in Libya, and you’re a bestseller in Iraq…
I don’t even remember all the places I have been to, I mix them up. The security personnel in the airport know me and say hello to me. Sometimes I see them in the morning. I go home to throw out the summer clothes and throw in the winter clothes because I’m going to the other side of the planet. Then I see them again in the afternoon.
People understand after a while that if they are trying to stop me, they will lose me. If the train is fast and heavy, you should go with it, not stand in front of it. But the routine with friends is you go to their house, bring wine and cook and they come to you next time. When you are travelling again and again and don't have dinner with them, they are not your friends anymore, in a way. You lose your roots.
It is so good when you arrive in places like sunny California, cornfields and wine. And meeting people, discussing with them, having good food, having intellectual exchanges about philosophy, life, racism, patriarchy, everything I’m interested in. But physically it’s tiring. I have a theory I call The Pillow Theory. There are problems in life such as patriarchy, occupation, capitalism and the differences in the shape of pillows in the hotels. I’m fighting for the right of every person to have a size that fits them.
Because of pillows and tiredness and lost friends, I’ve started to think I need a strategy to travel less. Also, my girlfriend is involved in this. Our idea is to let my mind think that I’m travelling though I’m not, by taking long residencies outside Sweden. So now I have a five-month residency in Amsterdam and after that a whole year at the DAAD Artists-in-Berlin programme, a scholarship. It works, in a way. When I went to Amsterdam, I started longing for Sweden as my country. Because I understood I would be away for long, I became homesick for the first time. And when I feel the thirst for travel I can make it subtler, because technically, I am already travelling. Through this, I started travelling less. Now, I travel only twice a month.
When I travel, I bring my laptop. They asked me in India what I would bring if the house were on fire. I said my laptop, because there is another house inside it. What is a home for a Palestinian born in a refugee camp if not language? It’s something I inherited from my father.
He told me about paradise, the land of milk and honey. When I got my Swedish passport, I went to Palestine. There was nothing. No milk and no honey. It’s only in the dream of the Palestinians. The first time I went there, I was held six and a half hours at the airport. With all the happiness and sadness that I had about being there, finally the Israeli let me in. To this day, I never spoke with my father about that, because they threw him out twice, once from Ashkelon to Gaza in 1948, then from Gaza to Egypt in 1967, and he left his mother there. Until 2012 when she died, he didn’t meet her.
Home is connected to the mother tongue. I miss hearing my name. I used to say to God all the time that I miss Syria and Damascus here in Sweden. But when I asked God to connect me with Syria, he must have misunderstood me. Instead of taking me to Syria, he sent the Syrians to me.

Some of the snippets sound angsty, but I promise all of them are silly and light-hearted and fun.
July 1 - Dynamics // Trust

Of course Keith had grown, Shiro had known that he was going to, eventually. He just hadn’t been prepared to notice so acutely. After a brief 4 week training mission in LEO, Shiro had crashed back down to earth and taken his first shaking steps back in 1G only to find the solid ground swept out from underneath of him. The surly, scrawny teen with a chip on his shoulder who would fight you for looking at him sideways had grown into almost a man right before Shiro’s eyes.
And Shiro’s eyes couldn’t tear themselves away.
July 3 - Sandwiches // Drinking

Some junior officers relished their time on the night roster, scouring the halls for cadets out of bed, busting up parties, giving their friends who were still senior cadets loads of demerits just for fun. Shiro was never one of those junior officers. Sure, he’d busted Matt’s chops once or twice to get him back for a dumb prank, but generally he would look the other way and let most things slide when his turn came up on the duty roster.

Shiro was always up early, but Venus was supposed to be rising at 0413 on the nose, and it was a half hour drive followed by at least an hour’s hike to get to the best spot to see it. 0200 was a much more acceptable time to go to bed than wake up, but he quietly made his way to the senior cadets’ barracks and keyed in Keith’s door code just as his watch flipped 0210. Keith was already up, boots on and backpack shouldered, sleepy but excited smile brightening his face.
July 6 - Pre-Kerberos // Post-Voltron

The rooftop of the junior officers’ barracks was technically off-limits, though that had never stopped Shiro from sneaking his way up to stargaze or get some fresh air. The past several months he found himself drawn to the roof more and more; just off the southwest corner the upper stage of the SLS-6 was visible far off in the distance.
It was the orbital launcher that would be taking him and his crew to the very edge of the solar system.

Matt knew something was off the moment he woke up. It was 8am on a Saturday and he could hear people in the living room. Shiro groaned under his breath. “Ghosts aren’t real, and we aren’t dying. We’re gonna be fine.” He assured, trying hard to keep both of them calm.

Matt’s idea of coping with finals was to lock himself in his bedroom and turn off his phone, forbidding any human contact whatsoever until he was sure he’d get top marks in everything. Shiro however, didn’t believe in cramming for exams. He’d studied all he was going to and was confident in his ability to pass all of his tests and simulations with flying colors, no matter what his pounding heart told him.

Keith sounded like he was nearly in tears when he’d called Shiro and begged him to meet up on the roof. It had set off every alarm in Shiro’s brain and he raced to the stairs as fast as he could to see what was the matter. Keith was holding something bundled up in his jacket when Shiro came bursting onto the rooftop.
“I got here as soon as I could. Are you ok?” Shiro asked, slightly out of breath, as he walked over to check on Keith.

It was almost an enviable position, Keith mused as he took in the all-too-familiar face smiling back at him from the poster. A lifetime felt like it wouldn’t have been long enough to pinpoint all of the follies that had led him there, to that moment. He brought a trembling hand up and closed his fingers around the paper. The handsome smile crumbled in his fist as he stalked down the hall.

Shiro was used to being the Garrison’s Golden Boy. It was a little annoying, a little isolating, but mostly it suited him just fine. He knew how to be confident in his abilities without being arrogant and how to use his status for minor indulgences without being accused of being a diva (by anyone but Matt, at least).
Keith was always used to being the troublemaker, the discipline case, the odd man out. That suited him just fine as well. He did his best to stay out of trouble at the Garrison for Shiro’s sake. Keeping his head down, working hard in class and blowing off steam in the sims or the gym or out in the desert was a system that had taken time to perfect but Keith figured it out with only a few missteps along the way.Yes, their roles suited both of them just fine… until the first time Keith broke one of Shiro’s records.

Most of the cadets and instructors go home for the holidays in the winter, but Keith wasn’t one of them. He didn’t dwell on the fact that he didn’t really have a home to go to, he made the best of making the Garrison his home. The only part that really bummed him out was the boredom.
He’d already finished all of his homework assigned over the break, and the simulator was down “until further notice” for maintenance, so things had started to get… weird. Gathering all his pens and pencils, he placed a coffee mug on his own desk and sat down across the room at his roommate’s desk. One by one, he started tossing the pens towards the cup, adjusting his position on the chair and the angle he threw with each miss.
July 28 - Protect // Attack

Matt had seen Shiro do a lot of dumb things over the years- he wasn’t as cool as he pretended to be. He’d seen Shiro get stuck in more than one t-shirt that had allegedly shrunk in the wash, accidentally put ketchup into his coffee because he was too exhausted to function and then drink it anyway, and he’d watched Shiro hit his head on the sim door more times than he could count.
All of that paled in comparison to the second-hand embarrassment he inflicted upon Matt every single time he was around Keith.
July 29 - Honesty // Lies

“It’s nothing I wouldn’t do for any cadet that was struggling,” it’s not a lie the first time he says it, or if it is, it’s a lie that he believes in his soul. It might be a lie later, after a dozen trips to Iverson’s office, after countless sleepless nights in the library, after hours baking in the hot sun on the back of his bike when he knows he should be studying.
“We’re just friends,” Shiro knows it’s a lie but he says it with conviction. They never become more true, no matter how many times the words leave his lips. And they do- he says it a dozen times, maybe more. There’s nothing just about the kind of friends they are.

They named the chinchilla Churro. Keith had been adamant. Shiro had suggested Cinnamon, originally, but Keith’s eyes had lit up and when he whispered the word so reverently, Shiro was powerless but to agree. They’d done their best to find Churro’s rightful owner, but it wasn’t like he’d had a collar or anything, and he was technically contraband.
Luckily Matt’s middle name might as well have been contraband, so he and Shiro were locked in a battle of mutually assured destruction should he say anything about Shiro’s illegal pet.
July 31 - Hero // Pain

“I can be your hero baby,” the earplugs weren’t working. Not that Matt would have been able to sleep with the foam stuffed halfway into his brain anyway.
“I can kiss away the pain,” he pulled them out with a grimace before tossing them into the trash, putting his glasses on and stalking into Shiro’s room.
“I will stand by yo-” Shiro stopped singing and tore off his headphones, staring up at Matt from his desk like a deer in headlights.
“I say this both as your friend, and as someone dangerously close to committing homicide, you have to tell him.” Matt’s stern tone left no room for discussion or argument.

Happy Birthday Jeno!
This is a little drabble to celebrate Jeno’s birthday! Hope you all enjoy!

Word Count: Like Around 900 something? My Word Count thing wasn’t working and the last time I checked it was at 800 something words... lmao sorry I'm a mess

“Are you sure everything is in order, Donghyuck?” You ask him through the phone.
You are scrambling all over the kitchen, making sure the cake is perfect, which led you to put the phone on the counter and on speaker.
“Why do you sound so far away? Y/N please calm down! Everything is fine and set,” he responds.
Finally deciding to take a breather, you walk towards you phone and put it near your ear.
“I know, I’m sorry, this is just a big deal for me and I want Jeno to like the surprise. But thank you for helping me with all of this.” You tell your best friend.
“Don’t worry about it, Y/N. You and Jeno are some of my favorite people, and I know he’ll love it. Now please go and take a break. You’ve worked hard.” He tells you.
Letting out a chuckle, you say, “Donghyuck, I can say the same thing about you! But remember to remind everyone about the party today please?” You let him know.
“Geez Y/N! I know what to do already! Now leave me alone, I’m going to take a nap!” He responds and ends the call.
You laugh a little bit, and take a glance around the room. You’ve decorated part of the dorm, and you’ve prepared some food with the help of Jungwoo and Doyoung.
*A Few Hours Later*
It’s almost 5 o’clock, which was when the party should start. Most of the other members where here helping me make the finishing touches on everything while the rest of the members where somewhere distracting Jeno for the time being.
“Okay Y/N! Everything is done! Now go change! You don’t want to look like a mess for Jeno now do you?” Chenle tells you.
“Chenle! Who do you think you’re talking to?” You jokingly ask him while ruffling his hair.
“Sorry Noona,” he responds, putting his head down a little bit. Smiling, you push his shoulder and run to the room to change.
Your outfit was very cute. It was casual but it fit perfectly for this event. It was a pretty shade of white that complimented your skin well.
Checking the time, you see that the boys should be coming with Jeno any minute.
Hearing a ding, you get a text from Jisung saying that they’re outside.
“Guys! They’re almost here! Hide! Hide! Hide! Turn off the lights!” you say quickly. You see Johnny flip the light switch off and everyone crouches down behind the couches.
“Why do I have to cover my eyes?” You hear Jeno’s soft voice say through the door.
“Just do it ya psycho!” Jisung says.
We hear the door slowly open and Jeno pops out through the door. We all jump up and yell “Surprise!”
Jeno’s face was full of shock and confusion. Standing in the middle, You raise up this big poster you made that says “Happy Birthday” on it with a bunch on silly pictures of Jeno on it.
His eyes finally land on you, with a gigantic smile on his face.
“Did you do all of this, Y/N?” He asks you with his beautiful smile still on his face.
Nodding your head, you say “Yeah! Happy birthday babe!”
He quickly walks over to you and hugs you quickly while giving you a peck on your lips. Closing your eyes, you savor the moment a little bit, until you realize that everyone is still in the room.
“So this is why you only wanted to hang out for a little bit in the morning, huh?” He asks you.
“Yes! I had to prepare everything! With the help of the other members, of course,” You tell him.
Someone turns on the speakers, and some music starts playing. This wasn’t going to be a huge party, more of a gathering.
Everyone was enjoying themselves, eating the food you prepared and talking amongst themselves. You were talking with Jaemin, Donghyuck, and Jeno when you see Mark behind Jeno with a cake in his hands. Mark puts his finger to his lips, indicating that he doesn’t want us to say anything.
You continue listening to the conversation, but you see mark tap Jeno on his shoulder, resulting in him turning around.
His face comes in contact with the cake in an instant, and you hear laughs all around the room. Surprise and anger is shown all over Jeno’s face.
He grabs a piece of cake on his face and rubs it all over Mark’s face. Everyone besides the two were absolutely enjoying this little battle, but you had to stop it because you didn’t want to clean all of this cake on the floor.
“Okay guys! Cut it out! You can do this on your own time.” You tell them both while chuckling, yourself. “Now go get cleaned up!” You tell them both.
Jeno goes into the kitchen while mark goes to the bathroom. You follow Jeno to help him.
You grab some paper towels and run water over them. “Here, let me help you.” You start wiping off the cake while grabbing the back of Jeno’s neck for support.
Youunconsciously furrow your eyebrows and stick out your tongue in concentration. Jeno let’s out a small chuckle and smiles his adorable eye smile.
“What?” You ask him, confused on why he’s laughing.
“You are so adorable, Y/N! I just wanted to tell you that I really don’t deserve you. You are seriously the best person I have ever met.” He tells you, looking serious.
“Jeno, what are you talking about? You give me so much, if anything I don’t deserve you.” You tell him, looking at all of his facial features.
“You threw this amazing party and I know you worked hard like you always do, and I just want you to know that I am really really really grateful for you.” He says while putting his hands on your hips and brings you closer.
“Thank you for being the best girlfriend in the entire world.” He tells you before putting his lips on yours.
Being slightly surprised, your eyes open wide but quickly shutter closed and kiss him back. It was a soft kiss, but it was full of passion and love. It was a short kiss, but it spoke a thousand words in those few seconds.
“I really do love you, Jeno.”
“ I love you too, Y/N”

You couldn’t remember a time where you weren’t smiling at Fleur and Bill’s wedding. Everyone was so happy, so alight with life—Fleur and Bill most of all. You couldn’t say you weren’t in absolute shock when Fleur made you one of her bridesmaids. She’d been bouncing on the balls of her feet in excitement, and as one of the only Weasleys who hadn’t detested her at first sight, you were honored.
“Thank you, Fleur,” you had said, then barreled into her, wrapping your arms around her in a hug. The Veela was in tears, sobbing thick thank-yous into the hair of your head. It should have been the other way around, but Fleur was always a rather emotional woman, and hearing you accept her offer, she couldn’t help but cry tears of joy. It made you love the silvery-haired woman all the more passionately.

You were up at the stand, all eyes on you as you lifted a cup of Butterbeer in grace. You smiled largely, looking around the room with tears in your eyes. “Fleur, you deserve a life full of happiness,” you began. “Bill’s a wonderful man—he’s my brother, and I love him more than life itself. I love all of my siblings more than life itself. But you, you’ve always been there for me, Bill. And you and Fleur are perfect together, two wonderful people that have made my life worth living. You saw them, then. Your little sister Ginevra, and Harry Potter, the Chosen One—the Boy-Who-Lived. They were smiling and laughing along the rest of the room as you toasted your brother and his newly-wedded wife—but this was different. So different. You could already feel the tears welling in your eyes and your throat.
Harry leaned forward and kissed Ginny. He had her cheek cupped in his hand, his forehead creased with love and pleasure. No one paid them any attention, but Merlin, that was the only thing you could focus on. That was the only thing that mattered—the one thing that made sense

It was the night that you had been waiting for since the start of the year. You were particularly ungrateful at first, thinking that a year of no Quidditch would result in sheer misery, but that initial belief only led to the excitement of a Triwizard Tournament and the Yule Ball. Having Harry, one of your best mates, involved as one of the contenders frightened you to no end, but at least you had the dance to look forward to.
You were going with one of the Dumstrang boys, a seventeen-year-old bloke that was rather good-looking in a ruggedly handsome sort of way. When he asked for your hand, you couldn’t say you were surprised; he’d been eying you for weeks, giving you that certain look that boys did when they really, really wanted you. You weren’t very flattered, nor were you excited, but you pretended to be for the sake of not looking like an unappreciative slag. He was cute, sure, but he didn’t make you feel anything. When he talked, it was like a never-ending Shakespearean soliloquy—endurable, but dull and lifeless. You didn’t want him, but you honestly didn’t even know what or who you wanted. You laughed and shook your cup at him. “Alcohol makes anything enjoyable.”
“You strike me as a woman who has never been satisfied.”
“Wish I could get pissed without having the entire world go against me,” Harry grumbled, looking cross with the ground as he stared down at it. You moved a shaky hand and placed it on his forearm, gaining a curious look from him. You were never one for being excessively touchy-feely.
“I’m sure I don’t know what you mean.
You forget yourself.”
“It’s not all against you, Harry. I’m not against you. Ron isn’t; Hermione isn’t.” You were looking at him intensely, wishing he could see in himself what you saw.
“You’re like me.

He just looked away. “You’re too good to me, Y/N,” he said, more softly than you’d ever heard his voice.
“Is that right?”
You smiled at him.
“I’ve never been satisfied.”

I'll take you way back (Trixya) Chapter 1 - Bramble
A/N: I’m so excited to finally be submitting this fic. I’ve had this idea for so long that I couldn’t put it off anymore.
This is a Regeneration Soulmate AU and I use he/him pronouns and their out-of-drag names for present time. But in the ‘flashbacks’ they have different names and pronouns depending on the story. It may get confusing as they are both called Brian (but I have tried to make it less confusing)
Whilst I have done research for each story they are by no means 100% historical accurate. None of these stories happened and are merely made up and put to a certain time frame.
In this chapter in case you can’t tell Brion is Katya and Brian is Trixie in the 'flashback’. Enjoy!
Chapter 1: Vikings
2017
Brian Firkus believed in a lot of things. He believed he would one day find true happiness and love. That he was lucky when he was partnered up with his best friend for their joint final project. He believed that their hard work together would see them achieve a high grade.
It was their joint project that brought them both to the local museum. The project was to for one cosmetology student and one fashion student to work together to create a runway look inspired by an aspect of history. It was safe to say that Kim and Brian knew next to nothing about history, let alone enough to produce a killer look. It had been Kim that had suggested visiting the local museum to find inspiration.
So, Brian angrily trekked his way, following behind Kim by a few steps, up to the entrance of the museum. It was an odd place full of a variety of pieces. It was unconventional but so was the city it was situated in. The last thing Brian wanted to be doing was going to a museum and take his way through the exhibits, but unfortunately, he knew it was best not to argue with Kim.
If it wasn’t for Kim, who was dead set on learning from professionals and museum exhibits instead of google, Brian would be curled up on his couch watching Project Runway. But apparently, they wouldn’t get an authentic feel for the history from a screen, so here they were.
Looking up at the large sign above the doors, Brian huffed as he caught up to Kim who was waiting by the doors already. The doors slid open and the pair walked in, paid for their tickets and quickly made their way inside to find something to work with.
Unfortunately for their wild minds, when given the project it was rather vague. They could be inspired by literally anything and everything. For Brian and Kim, it wasn’t a question but a known fact they would try not to do something everyone else would be doing. So, any knowledge they had was minimal.
Wandering the halls of the museum they desperately searched for something. The Great Depression? Pass. The Rise and Fall of the British Empire? Can’t work.
As they scouted the museum, they came across a speaker. Crowding around them were people attentively listening to the talk about the piece they were in front of. Brian scoffed internally at how eager they seemed. Kim wrapped her hand around his wrist and pulled his arm to signal she wanted to go over. As they got nearer Brian heard a low voice coming from within the crowd.
“…a day of fasting for the tragedy of the Salem witch trails. The court later seemed the trails unlawful and the leading justice Samuel Sewall publicly apologised for his role in the process,” the voice said, and Brian found himself craning his beck to find out who the source was.
Following the voice his eyes landed on one of the most handsome men he had ever seen in his life. He ha short dirty dishwater coloured hair which was receding, facial structure most would kill for, and amazing blue eyes. He spoke animatedly with his hands as he explained more about the Salem witch trails. When his eyes made contact with their own, Brian felt his breath catch in is throat. His felt a shiver run down his spine like there was a shift in the universe. The blue-eyed man must have felt it too because he faltered in his speech and shifted on the spot.
Brian stayed still with his eyes trained on the speaker with Kim besides him. Then it hit him; she could ask the speaker to help him and Kim with history and talk to him in the process. It was the perfect 'Kill two birds with one stone’ scenario.
The crowd began to disperse as the man finished his speech. Brian held Kim back so that they could approach him without interruption. Kim caught onto his plan as she was quick to make her way over to the blue-eyed man.
“Hi there,” Kim greeted him with a smile and a wave. Brian was internally hitting himself for letting Kim take the lead. “We couldn’t help but overhear the story you just told the crowd, and we were wondering if you could help us?”
The man flashed a bright smile, and Brian felt more shivers. “Yes of course, what can I help you with?”
“Well firstly, I’m Kim and this,” Kim paused to motion over to Brian. “Is Brian.”
“Well I know I am but who is this fine specimen?” The way he said it, in his accent, and his little chuckle made Brian go light headed.
“This is going to get confusing real fast. I’ll call you Brian and the clown over there Trix then,” Brian could see the confusion wash over the other Brian’s face.
“She calls me that as her twisted form of redemption. It’s better not to ask,” Brian cleared up.
“Right so, we have a project inspired by history and we know nothing about history.” Brian stood back and let Kim explain the assignment whilst he took in Brian’s appearance. He had an odd fashion sense and looked rather like a librarian that was on meth today. Kim would definitely have something to say about his outfit later out of ear shot.
“What kind of thing are you looking for?”
“Something out the box, we don’t want to do something everyone else will do,” Brian could tell the blue-eyed man was racking his brain for some ideas. His thinking face was undeniably attractive to Brian, the man had taken his bottom lip between his teeth and raised one eyebrow slightly. He looked and screamed thinking.
“I think I have the perfect thing for you two.”
“Could you tell us a story about it?” Brian hadn’t spoken much but he would do anything for another story from Brian.
“This is the first exhibit I ever saw in this museum and I kind of fell in love with it,” Brian spoke as he lead Kim and Brian to a painting. The plague on the side read 'Love and War, 800-1066 AD’
“Vikings?” Brian asked unsure.
“I thought you said you didn’t know anything,” Brian laughed as he looked at the picture. “This is the story of two warriors. It all began in…”
Britain, 900 AD
A battle was raging on. The smell of smoke clouded in Brion Cooksen as he watched his people go up against the English. The Vikings had come here for blood and Brion wouldn’t leave without the head of long time enemy Brian Firk. The sound of a twig snapping from behind him alerted Brion. She looked away from the scene happening downhill and reached to his side for his axe.
He turned and swung his axe. He stopped as he watched the figure slump down into a heap on the floor. He noticed besides the open wound from his axe that the figure had arrows sticking out of his back.
“You can come out now, I know you’re here,” Brion coaxed the hidden person out of hiding.
“I apologise for stealing your kill, but I need you alive,” the figure said. Brion looked on unimpressed before the man continued. “But you’d rather have my head on a spike.”
“Brian?” Brion asked, shocked. He hadn’t expected it to be so easy. His grip tightened on the handle of his axe.
“At first my intentions were to kill you and impress my father but I couldn’t. Watching you up here I just felt…drawn to you.”
Brion shook his head and raised his axe up but was stopped as Brian effortlessly held up his bow to it.
“I don’t want to fight you, Brion.” Brian pleaded as he dodged a swing. “I just want to talk.”
“Then we shall talk through battle.” Brion swung his axe getting closer and closer each time. Brian excellently dodged the hits not wanting to fire his bow back. He did only want to talk and explain.
“Brion, I’m not the enemy. My father wants to be allies against our real enemy. Alaska!” Brian shouted and Brion raised an eyebrow suspiciously.
“Why would my enemy be someone miles away?”
“He wants both of our land.” Brion pondered this information as the puzzle pieces fell together. The blade that had killed Brion’s mother…
“Alaska’s crest, it’s a-”
“-Serpent.”
Both males turned to the side. Standing on the edge of the hill was Alaska with ten warriors at her side.
Brian pulled out an arrow and notched in his bow as Brion prepared to use his axe. Both men stood back, ready to fight together.
“You really hope to defeat all ten of them?” Alaska asked surprised at their determination.
Brion scoffed, “You only brought ten, how insulting.”
“You should’ve brought more,” Brian added.
Brian quickly took out two of the warriors before they could even get near him, killing another whilst Brion buried his axe deep into another’s chest. Grabbing an arrow from his quiver, Brian jammed the arrowhead into a warrior’s leg before knocking him unconscious with his bow.
Brion was making quick work of the other warriors. Lodging his axe in their throats, backs and heads. While his back was turned two remaining warriors tried to take Brian.
“Brian!” Brion warned as he hit one in the spine with the handle of his axe before turning and thrusting the blade upwards into his stomach. Brian carefully shot an arrow perfectly into the last one’s eye.
“Do you think you can defeat me?!” Alaska cried out angrily. “I am Alaska, no one can deadest m-”
Her speech was cut short but Brion giving her a shift head butt and knocking her out. Brian looked at him surprised as he muttered something about chivalry but Brion just shrugged. “She wouldn’t shut up.”
Afterwards Alaska as well as one of her warriors were tied up to be returned as a prisoner…
2017
“So Brion and Brian weren’t enemies any longer. Actually, they ended up getting very close and often went into battle together. Brion was there to save Brian from close attacks and Brian covered the long shots.” Brian concluded.
Throughout the story Brian could tell how passionate the curator was about history and often had to fight to contain the smile at his passion.
“What is Brion wearing on his head?” Kim asked.
“Oh that, that’s my favourite part. Brion was infamous for wearing this dead skinned raccoon on his head. I like to call it Cheryl,” Brian could hear Kim scoff but he didn’t care. He had come her hating the prospect of museums and would end up leaving wanting to come back the next day.
As Kim said her goodbyes to Brian, the curator, Brian wandered off back the way they came. Only this time he found himself looking at the exhibits as he walked passed.
Once they exited the museum Kim was full of her judgements that Brian knew she would have.
“Did you see what he was wearing, some wacko, that’s what he was.” She sighed. “At least we have something to work with now and don’t need to go back anymore.”
But part of Brian wanted to go back already. Though she’d never tell Kim that.

I am posting this on behalf of my mother in law. She has a car that was damaged at her sisters house (my mother-in-law lived with her sister) during the wind storm Cincinnati had last year. My mother had the car parked in the driveway and a tree fell on it and totalled the car. But guess what would have not been a problem if she had Car insurance on it but at the time she was in between insurance companys but she did not drive the car at the time anyway. So now she has found out she has GAP so I did the claim and they said that they can give her 5000 (hopefully) toward the loan. She went to the home owners insurance and they said they wont pay. If it was her sisters car they would have though. I am really not sure but it doesnt sound right to me. If that tree would have hit a person but not her sister would they have had to pay? That just doesn't make since to me because my mother-in-law lived in the house aswell. Can someone help me.

Any advice is greatly appreciated. My problem is this, In July 2007 A man in a huge truck with a trailer hinge back up out from a parking space, it I saw him and the only thing I could at the time is speed up so he would not hit the middle of my car. He ended up hitting the side bumper and ripped it off. I have A 1999 Cryshler Sebring. It truely was a hard hit. Well the man's insurance did pay to fix the bumper, but now everything keeps going wrong. I did mention it to the person at the shop where we had arranged for the repair. When the time came, She did not do so and when I asked the lady she gave me a look like there is really something wrong with my car. I give two guys a ride to the bus so they do not have to walk the mile or so and they can attest that my car was running smooth. So many things one after another have gone wrong. I have put over 700.00 and still more problems. So my question is what do you think my chances are If I take it to the manufactor and they will rule in my favor. The Insurance Co-ordinator says if they say it was from the accident then they will pay for it. Straight from the start right after the accident my car kept dyeing out, so I had to drive it like a standard car with my feet on the gas and brake at the same time. So in the end , last I have heard there is a short somewhere so I took it to Spitfire and place that specializes in electrical problems and he told me my computer is bad. First of all the things my battery kept dyeing out, my car would not start up in the mornings,I took it to Auto zone and my battery was fat, swollen no good. Bought a new one, then I took it to a man at midas , he said I needed a valve cover gasket and he showed me my spark plugs we filled with oil, fixed that. Now Midas ran a scan and said I had either a bad map sensor or a short. Changed the map sensor the car is still barely running, so then another place said it was a short but had it for two weeks and could not find the short . I would like to know , if the guys Insurance is still on the hook for all the problems I have had with the car since the accident.
