#although I can’t guarantee it being any more informational at all
Note
hello i know a little bit about guilty gear and understand much less, but uh if you want could you do a lore dump on axl low?
I’d be happy to! His story isn’t the most plot significant but it is certainly interesting.
Note: I will be referencing events talked about in my other post so I don’t have to describe every single thing.
An important thing to know about Axl is that his lore is supposed to be convoluted and confusing, because his whole gimmick for the early games is that he is constantly being hurtled back and forth through time against his control. Most of his story beats involve him happening to appear at a certain time and place and be involved in the plot before being thrown through time again.
Axl Low was just a mostly ordinary (for a guilty gear character) guy in late 1900s Britain. He was very skilled at martial arts and took it upon himself to end gang assaults in the neighborhood by fighting gang members. He was apparently very successful and managed to run gangs out of the area without a single casualty. He was dating a girl named Megumi, who he was deeply in love with. They both swore their futures to one another, but fate had other plans. In a completely separate timeline, Megumi was the one chosen to become the vessel of the magical focus that was created by the combined will of humanity to achieve a bright future during the various apocalypses. Megumi was granted godlike power and became I-no. In 1998 in Axl’s timeline, his nearness to Megumi for some reason caused him to be hurtled through time to the year 2178, 3 years after the end of the Crusades.
He spent the next 2 years searching for a way back to his timeline with no success. But then he heard about the Sacred Knights tournament that supposedly granted a wish to the winner, so he joined. The whole thing turned out to be a hoax caused by Testament to resurrect Justice. He aids in the plot to stop Justice and Sol Badguy succeeds in killing Justice. Axl was let down that his opportunity to go back to his time was a lie, but then the crowd of the tournament cheered him on and he realized he could make new friends in this future, right when he reached out to the people he was hurtled through time again.
Most of Axl’s story goes along these lines, he appears at a certain place in time, partakes in whatever plot hijinks is happening, and then gets thrown through time again. None of it is particularly important, and I’m trying to avoid just paraphrasing the wiki page, so I’ll just get to the parts that matter for his overarching story arc. Just know that he does time traveling shenanigans and meets his own double a couple times, at one point he gets sent back to 1998 but before he can talk to Megumi he is whisked away again.
Anyway he eventually learns of That Man and tries to seek him out because he’s supposedly a time traveler. He then meets I-no, who works for That Man at the time. His next important time slip involves him being sent to a desolate future version of 2192, where The Original tells him to deliver a message to That Man, Axl doesn’t understand what the message means but agrees all the same. Then he’s slips through time to Bedman (a creepy guy who lives his entire life in a dream strapped to a robot bed, I don’t really understand Bedman’s lore other than that he tries to kill people a lot of the time)‘s nightmare theater, but before Bedman can kill him, I-no pulls him back through time to the desolate 2192, intending to kill him for knowing about the existence of The Original. He explains that he has a message from The Original so she sends him back through time to give the message to That Man.
Afterwards Axl realized I-no’s time powers can send him back home, so he tracks her down, but when he finds her he learns that if he were to be sent back in time, it could potentially change and destroy the timeline he is currently in, so I-no doesn’t want to do it. Axl gives up on returning home and tries to find purpose here in the future, he eventually even learns to control the time powers he has, allowing him to slow down, compress, and potentially even freeze time.
From this point on Axl doesn’t slip through time much if at all. He tries not to look back on the past, but eventually realizes it would be possible to trade places with Megumi, bringing her to the future at the cost of himself, but that it wouldn’t succeed at bringing them together.
Axl starts having premonitions of the future, including one where Happy Chaos (who used to be The Original) tells him that they haven’t seen eachother since 2192 (the year he met The Original in the desolate future). Axl gets a premonition that something bad is going to happen at a certain area of the city, on the day when it happens, Happy Chaos blows up a building to free Nagoriyuki (a black vampire samurai and one of the coolest characters in guilty gear) as Chaos intends to take control of Nagoriyuki and use him for his plot to restore I-no to godhood. When the explosion happens, Axl freezes time and teleports the civilians in the building to safety, where he meets and has a brief conversation with I-no.
At the end of the Strive storyline, when I-no has ascended to godhood and is fighting with essentially everyone else who don’t want her to abuse her power, Axl tries to reason with her, but it doesn’t work. Axl and Ky distract her, and Sol Badguy steals her magic electric guitar and uses it to strike a presumably lethal blow to I-no. While she lay there presumably dying, Axl cries and begs her to remember something. With I-no defeated Axl finds himself alone in a park, when suddenly Megumi from his timeline appears next to him bearing a message from I-no. I believe the implication is that I-no did what Axl considered earlier, trading places with the Megumi from his timeline to bring her to the future, this way in the end Axl and Megumi finally get to be together, and I-no’s whereabouts and even whether or not she is still alive remain a mystery. And Axl and Megumi lived happily ever after.
I just wanted to say that since Axl is one of the few characters with a definitive concrete end to his story arc, I’m curious how/if it will be continued whenever the next guilty gear releases, but that is a long ways away

Can you do this https://at.tumblr.com/k1ngdom-of-thieves/hi-there-can-you-do-headcanons-for-the/qpbnbhv4sgel but with the vice dorm leaders?
Of course! Thanks for coming back :)
Vice Dorm leaders + Finding out reader is a girl
Trey Clover
Tumblr media
Poor guy genuinely had no idea that you were until you told him. Depending on if you told him during book 1 or waited until later to tell him, he’ll feel slightly embarrassed or absolutely mortified that he made that mistake.
He’d apologize anyway but will still feel really guilty about it. Let him bake you a pastry or something just so he can feel better over it. Those things look so good anyway.
He asks if the others in the Heartslabyul dorm know and if you’d like him to tell them. He doesn’t mind telling them, although he might be a little embarrassed if he was the last one to realize you were a girl.
“Is there anything specific you’d like me to bake? I know you said it didn’t bother you, but I still wanted to apologize somehow.”
Ruggie Bucchi
Tumblr media
Ruggie had a feeling that you were a girl. Your scent was different from the rest of the guys so he had a feeling. Still feels great to be proven right tho.
He won’t ask you about it because: 1 it’s really none of his business, and 2 there’s no guarantee that you’ll actually tell the truth when asked. So he waited for you to tell him, if you ever wanted to.
He’d ask if you told others about this before making jokes. If you said yes, prepare for the dumbest jokes you’ve ever heard. Almost constantly.
Ruggie’s gonna try to get you to do dumb shit with him just so he can’t get in trouble with Leona. He kinda forgot that only you wouldn’t get in trouble and he would still get his ass kicked.
“Hey (Y/N), wanna hear something fun we could do? How about we go into Leona’s room when he’s in the observatory and take a couple bucks?”
Jade Leech
Tumblr media
Jade was actually surprised that you were a girl. He never really thought about it since it was an all boys school, but he’s realizes it must’ve been obvious in hindsight.
His surprise only lasts for a little while before it turns into his signature off putting smile. He chuckles and comments on how difficult it must’ve been to be the only girl for a few miles. Bro do you know how terrifying that sounds.
Of course he wouldn’t try to do anything to you. yet He’s just letting you know that if you need anything, your friends at the Monstro Lounge are always here to help. For a price.
If you’re worried about someone harassing you, just ask Jade to help you. He’d be more than happy to stand threateningly behind you to scare away anyone who tries to get to you.
“Just remember if you ever need anything, you know where to find me. I doubt anyone would want to bother you after hearing we’re in cahoots.”
Jamil Viper
Tumblr media
Jamil did have the passing thought of you not actually being a guy. It wasn’t something he took seriously, it was just a random thought. ..right?
Until you told him that you were a girl. Even though he had thought about it before, he never once thought about it actually being true.
Don’t think that he’s taking this negatively, he’s just completely in shock. He’s actually really happy that you decided to trust him with this information.
He’s more than willing to help out with anything you might need. He has a younger sister, so he has a general idea of what to do if you get any pains or discomfort.
“I’m going to Sam’s shop to buy a couple of things. Would you like me to bring you a few things? Don’t worry, I won’t make you pay me back.”
Rook Hunt
Tumblr media
Rook 100% knew you were a girl before you even spoke to each other. How? Don’t question it, his answer probably wouldn’t make much sense anyway.
He wouldn’t say anything about it before you told him, he didn’t want to make you uncomfortable! Bro you cross that bridge a while ago. He wants to make sure you’re ok with others knowing that you’re a girl before walking around school announcing it.
Thinks it’s so beautiful how you manage to make connections while being so fundamentally different from everyone around you. He finds your stubborn strength to persevere inspiring!
Will tell tales of your efforts even if it was something really mundane. He just wants you know that he sees how hard you try, in his own odd way.
“Oh how have I been blessed to see the trickster and her companions beat the odds yet again!”
Ortho Shroud (Completely platonic)
Tumblr media
Ortho’s sensors initially told him that you were a girl, but he thought that there was an error and had Idia check them out. It was only after Idia told him there was nothing wrong, he finally realized that you were actually a girl.
He’s gonna be a little confused for a while, he didn’t know that it was possible for a girl to attend an all boys school. Then again, most schools don’t have robot younger brothers so he figures he’s in the same boat as you.
He doesn’t mention anything to you until you tell him, he doesn’t want to accidentally make a friend uncomfortable. Besides, he’s learned not to point things out before others tell him. Once he pointed out Floyd’s jacket was missing buttons. Didn’t end well.
Installs applications that help him understand more feminine topics. Even if you aren’t into traditionally feminine things, he just doesn’t want you to feel isolated.
“I hope I can help you when you want to have someone to talk to. That’s what friends are for, right?”
Lilia Vanrouge
Tumblr media
Lilia had no idea that you were a girl, but he isn’t that surprised. He’s seen a lot of different people in his time, so a girl in an all-boys school is honestly pretty mundane for him.
Aside from the simple change of pronouns, his treatment of you is really similar. He treats all of his friends the same, so he never needed to change how he acts around you.
He does get a little protective of you around some of the boys. Father’s reflex. With him on your side, most of the student body wouldn’t dare bother you.
Don’t be afraid to ask him if you need anything, he’d be more than happy to help. He may seem like he has a lot on his plate, with watching over practically everyone in his dorm; but he doesn’t mind doing something for you now and then.
“Well, I’m glad that you trust me enough to tell me. Let me know if you need someone to talk to. I’m sure that with my many years of walking this land, I might know something to make you feel better.”

Book of Memories ~ Clavis, Jin, Sariel ~ Part 2
Tumblr media
Collection story
As usual, can’t guarantee 100% accuracy on this.
~~ Flashback continues ~~
The 3rd prince Clavis, with his golden eyes filled with curiosity, his refreshing and proud expression, and perfectly groomed appearance made Jin feel overwhelmed, but the latter smiled as if to brush it off.
Jin: So you're Clavis. Sorry, I'm the one that's supposed to introduce myself, but I got too caught up in my studies.
Clavis: Don't worry about it. I wanted to come see you.
Jin: Thanks. Though it's oddly stressful to suddenly have such an imposing younger brother.
Clavis: What do you mean by that?
Jin: I'm older and guys don't want to look uncool. Not only that, I just became a prince so it's even more stressful.
Clavis: Phew. You're pretty warm.
Jin: You're not so cold yourself.
Clavis: Ah, you're right. It's higher than Chevalier.
Jin: Chevalier's the 2nd prince, that prickly blond guy right?
Clavis: Yep. You better watch out around that guy, especially when he's reading. If you bother him, he'll cut you down.
Jin: A strong personality. Whoops, I've been speaking so casually when I should use some more respect since you're my senior. Should I call you "Clavis-senpai"?
Tumblr media
Clavis: Clavis-senpai...!
His eyes brightened up, but he held his small hands out as if to contain himself.
Clavis: It sounds nice, but you can call me Clavis. No need to be so formal. We're brothers after all! Ah, but you can call me that in your head if you want.
Jin: Uh-huh...
Clavis: Back to my main point, you've haven't been at court for long. That's why I've prepared some useful information for your immediate use-
Jin: Oh, I think I hear Sariel calling me.
Clavis: Wait, I'm still talking-
Jin: Sorry, maybe next time. See ya, Clavis.
Clavis: Ah, wait Jin. Listen to me!
When he didn't hear footsteps and a voice following after him anymore, Jin stopped and leaned against a windowsill.
Jin: Still being someone else's problem... ... Give me a break...
The complaints and sighs were carried away by the wind.
Jin shook his head in annoyance and returned to his daily routine.
--
Jin: You're going to the party with me?
Clavis: If my older brother Jin's going, then I'm going too. The party we're going to is going to full of obstinate people. But don't you worry. They all love art so if you bring up a thing or two, they'll start bragging. If any of those guys say anything rude, I'll spike their drink with pepper!
Jin: Oh, how dependable. How about I hold onto that pepper in case you drop it?
Clavis: Okay!
--
Tumblr media
Jin: This guy's got some gaudy sweets again. Some don't even look like sweets...
Clavis: I heard you got a perfect score on your test so we're having a tea party to celebrate!
Jin: Oh, is that why?
Clavis: Not at all! You got a good score because you studied really hard. But even if you got a bad score, I'd still reward you for your hard work. I recommend the strawberry cake. I'll brew some tea.
His small hand pointed at a plate with a cake of unique shape and color along with strawberries sticking out.
Jin raised his brows in suspicion before putting a fork full in his mouth.
Clavis: It's good, isn't it?
Jin: I-It's...unique.
Clavis: You mean it tastes like something no one else's made before? Well that's because I, a genius, made it myself. I've made sweets for my younger brothers, but never for an older brother.
Jin: ...
Clavis: There's still plenty more so eat as much as you want.
Jin: Yeah...thanks.
More eccentric than most, Clavis was an unrestrained and lively typhoon that visited Jin almost every day.
Although they appeared to be like close brothers, Jin had still not adjusted to his new environment and so had a hard time accepting the fact that he had siblings.
Even so, he didn't take Clavis' concern for him lightly.
Jin, who was more awkward than most, continued to pretend to not notice that he was suppressing his true feelings.
--
Sariel: It seems that Prince Clavis has taken a shine to you.
One afternoon in the library-
Jin was studying in the corner when Sariel silently approached him.
Jin: Fortunately? Don't know why though. But...if we're going to be brothers, than it's better than being treated poorly.
Sariel: You... No, nevermind.
Jin: It makes sense. I'm curious, but if there's not much to it, then I won't question it. Even so, being popular would be a pain. It's just been me and my mom for most of my life so I'm overwhelmed by my little brother's proactive approach. I haven't been greeted by my other brothers yet, so I guess that's just Clavis.
Sariel: Yes. He's the most proactive of the brothers, or rather, of the whole court.
Jin: Will you feel nostalgic about it someday?
Sariel: Fufu, I'm not a brother or anything like that so it's unlikely. Moreover, I currently have my hands full with traps so I'd rather not.
Jin: The guy in question's gonna cry if he heard you.
As Jin laughs, Sariel glances at the thick stack of books spread out on the table.
Sariel: You've been studying all morning, so why don't you take a break? They say that working to hard is harmful to the body.
Jin: Oh yeah...Guess I've been immersed in lessons all morning. I don't like studying, but it's the only thing keeping my mind occupied so I don't hate it.
Sariel: ... One more thing. If there's anything you want, please let me know.
Jin: Want? That's sudden.
Sariel: Since you've always lived as a commoner, this isn't a a pleasant place to live. Yet you never complain and study hard to acquire the skills needed. I believe it's not unreasonable to be selfish for once. I'll negotiate with the senior bureaucrats, okay?
Jin: ... I'll keep that in mind. Thanks.
However Jin never told Sariel what he wanted...
Then one day, a small incident occurred.

Harrison Gray Main Story: Chapter 6
Tumblr media
This is a fan-made translation solely for entertainment purposes with no guaranteed perfection. I do not own any of the original content. Please support CYBIRD by buying their stories and playing their games. Reblogs appreciated.
❥・• Warnings and FAQ
Every day, I would type out the things I learnt about Harrison.
Holding my regular report in my hand, I knocked on the door to Victor’s office in the palace…
< time skip >
Victor: His favourite drink is strawberry flavoured milk, his hobby is reading mystery novels, and…
Kate: … My apologies. The report turned out to seem more like an observation journal.
Victor: Don’t feel sad, Kate. Harrison doesn't often let others know what's in his heart.
Victor: This is still a very valuable resource, I’ll be continuing to count on you as a fairytale writer.
Although Victor said that, I still thought that it would've been much more helpful had I written about the “curse”.
(Asking Harrison directly about his curse might be the best option.)
(But seeing as it’s Harrison we’re talking about, he won't tell me about it so easily.)
I thought of the way Harrison often used the word “recompense”.
(If I want something from him, I need to have a way to recompense him for it. So if I want information from Harrison—)
That night, I left Crown’s castle, crossed the drawbridge and travelled through the dense forest…
I went to the palace’s library.
(Wow, there are so many books here.)
The books filling every wall to capacity made the place look like a forest of books.
– Flashback Start –
Liam: Where will Harry be tonight? Hmm, Harry occasionally leaves the castle on his own all of a sudden.
Liam: He seems to go to the palace’s library often, though.
– Flashback End –
As I walked down the moonlit hallway while looking for Harrison, the smell of mint tickled my nose.
(Ah… I see him.)
Harrison was listlessly reading a thick book.
Kate: Harrison.
Tumblr media
Harrison: …? Oh, it’s you.
Harrison: What’s the matter, following me all the way to a place like this?
Kate: Um…
Harrison: Hmmm… you want me to tell you about my curse, isn’t it? I’m not going to tell you so easily~
Kate: Of course I’m not expecting to get the information for free.
Kate: If I want something, I have to offer something suitable in exchange for it… right?
There was a testing look in his mint coloured eyes.
Harrison: So you’re going to give me something in return for that information, huh.
Tumblr media
Harrison: Can I decide what I get in return?
Kate: Yes. Oh, but please don't ask for the impossible.
(I can’t afford to give him anything that costs a lot of money. I don't have any money…)
Harrison: In that case, you.
Kate: What.
Harrison: My compensation, Kate. I want you.
Kate: Y-You’re teasing me again. This is where you say “yeah, that was a lie”, right?
Harrison: Hmm, you think so?
He reached out his hand and held my wrist before pulling me closer.
(Whoa…!)
Seated in his chair, Harrison stared at me. The distance between us was so close that our breaths were touching.
Tumblr media
Harrison: It’s only the two of us here. One more pull on your hand and I can kiss you already.
Harrison: … I can do more than that too, of course. In a situation like this, it’s impossible for me to keep my hands off.
His mint coloured eyes had me captivated, feeling as if my breath had been taken away.
I immediately put my hands on Harrison’s chest and tried pushing him away—
Harrison: … Just kidding.
Kate: Huh…?
Harrison: Giving yourself as a reward isn’t worth it. It’s no fun to eat you when you’re being so serious.
He wore a meaningful smile, and my cheeks were beet red from the embarrassment.
(... As expected, he’s being mean.)
Kate: That’s right, I’m not particularly delicious to eat either. So please pick something else as a reward.
Harrison: Pfft, you said that yourself.
Harrison: Well then, I want you to help me with my proofreading work, in exchange for the information you want.
Kate: Proofreading…
Harrison: There are many things that need to be done before a book can be published. I’ll always welcome some extra help.
There was definitely a lot of hard work involved in the process of making books that will entertain people.
Helping writers deliver their books that convey their thoughts and feelings was in a way similar to my old job as a postwoman.
Kate: Gladly. I’ll do my utmost best to help create a good book.
Harrison: We have a deal, then.
Harrison: — So, what do you want to know?
Harrison signalled with his eyes for me to sit down, and so I sat next to him.
Kate: Every member of Crown has their own special abilities, right? For example, William's ability is—
– Flashback Start –
William: “Come here, poor little robin.”
(What the… why is this happening!? I can’t stop…!!)
– Flashback End –
Kate: He can make people obey his commands. Liam’s ability is to disappear, right?
Tumblr media
Harrison: Yeah, that guy sometimes disappears on purpose to surprise me. It’s annoying.
Kate: Roger has extraordinarily good hearing. I think that everyone’s ability is unique to themselves, but—
Kate: I still don't know what your ability is.
I had never seen Harrison use his curse’s ability.
Tumblr media
Harrison: I’ve used my ability on you several times, though?
Kate: Wait, really? But I don't remember having experienced that before…
Harrison: What do you think my ability is? Try to guess.
(I’ve seen him surrounded by women quite a few times…)
Kate: Is your ability being a great flirt? You seem to be quite the charmer.
Harrison: Are you saying that you’re attracted to me?
Kate: N-No!
Harrison: I’ll show you the correct answer.
Harrison: Tell me something that's a lie mixed with truths. I’ll expose that lie.
(Expose the lie…?)
Harrison changed his posture to look me straight in the eyes with his mint coloured eyes.
(A lie mixed with truths.)
(I lived on the second floor of a bakery, so…)
Kate: I worked as a postwoman, I lived on the second floor of a confectionery shop. And my favourite music is—
I told Harrison about how I used to live, only lying to him about my place of residence.
Once I was done talking, he narrowed his eyes…
Harrison: The part where you said that you “lived on the second floor of a confectionery shop” is a lie, correct?
Kate: Correct.
Kate: How did you know?
Harrison: “Here”.
Harrison pointed at his mint coloured eyes.
Harrison: My curse’s ability allows me to tell whether a person is lying or telling the truth, just by making eye contact with them.
(He knows when someone is lying. I see…)
Kate: So that’s why you could identify the lie amongst the truths.
Harrison could see through the other party’s lies, but there was no way for them to see through his lies.
His ability was perfect for deceiving people… perhaps that was why it was called the “Fox Curse”.
Harrison: I mean, it's not exactly a very pleasant ability.
Kate: Why do you say so?
Harrison: No one likes it when what's on their mind is divulged without their consent. There are lies they tell that they don't want to be exposed.
Harrison: Some lies are better off left unknown.
It felt like Harrison’s eyes had become as dark as a moonless night.
Exposing lies that weren't intended to be revealed was essentially the same as knowing about lies he didn't want to.
It meant having to accept all the things he didn't need to know, things he didn't have to be hurt by.
(And that leads to him suffering a lot of pain and sorrow, doesn't it?)
But everything I just thought of was only my imagination, I couldn't truly understand everything Harrison felt.
I didn't want to act as if I understood, so I acted as cheerful as I could.
Kate: Then, that means if I lie and act tough in front of you, you’ll see right through me!
Kate: It does feel better knowing that there’s no point in trying to look good in front of you anymore.
Tumblr media
Harrison: …
Harrison: Well, in your case, I can easily tell just by looking at your face. You’re so foolishly honest that I don't even need to use my ability to see through your lies, you know?
Harrison: However, this ability isn't anything particularly powerful.
Harrison: Although I’m able to know whether someone is lying, I can’t always tell what kind of lies they’re telling.
(That means…)
Kate: You knew someone was lying when you saved me back then at the casino.
Kate: But you didn’t know “what kind of lie” they were telling… is that right?
Harrison: Yeah. I could ask a few clever questions to narrow down the possible truths, but that would make me suspicious.
Harrison: That’s why it’s important to observe and study the other party before acting.
Kate: Observe, study, act…
Harrison: This is the basic principle the detectives in mystery novels follow. Even Holmes does.
(Knowing that in theory is a different challenge from putting that into action. Observe, study, act… okay, got it.)
I noticed that Harrison was staring at me while I mentally repeated those words.
(...?)
Harrison: I have the Fox Curse. I’ll definitely lie to you over and over again in the future.
Tumblr media
Harrison: But you can still expose my lies, even though you don't have any special abilities.
Harrison: Someday, you’ll be able to.
(Me seeing through Harrison’s lies… will there come a day that happens?)
That felt like something that was still very far away, I let out a wry smile in spite of myself.
Kate: Well then, will you reward me when I do?
Harrison: Yeah, only if you can?
After parting ways with Harrison, I went back to Crown’s castle with my steps feeling lighter than usual.
(I feel like I learnt a lot about Harrison tonight. The ability to expose lies, hm…)
(Huh…? But, if that’s the case, then… he must've seen through all the lies I’ve told him so far.)
– Flashback Start –
Harrison: Are you disappointed that I’m not here for you?
Kate: I’d never feel disappointed over such a thing.
Harrison: Hmm.
Harrison: … Seriously, you’re terrible at lying.
– Flashback End –
That meant Harrison knew I was lying back then.
(I mean…)
Kate: I was indeed disappointed, but not in that way!
Kate: Oh gosh…
I was so embarrassed, I had my head in my hands.
In the library after Kate left, Harrison muttered to himself.
Harrison: “Someday, you’ll be able to expose my lies”... huh.
He reached his hand towards the bottom of a large stack of thick books meant for proofreading, and pulled out a piece of paper.
Harrison: … A bit rich coming from me when I’m covered in lies.
The words on the piece of paper Harrison pulled out were—
“Confidential Document: Crown Activity Report”
I was getting ready in the morning when my designated maid, Maria, knocked on my room door holding a bouquet of flowers.
I wrote down in pen and paper, asking her about the flowers. Maria picked up the pen and responded.
She wrote, “I bought them from a florist. They looked beautiful, so I bought you some”.
I bowed my head at Maria, who went to arrange the flowers.
I gradually found out that everyone working at Crown’s castle was deaf.
It was to prevent Crown’s secrets from being leaked, and also to protect the staff’s lives from knowing those secrets.
Victor told me that it was to protect both parties.
(Victor didn't say it openly, but this arrangement might have also been for the sake of providing them with employment…)
There was a deep rooted inequality in England that couldn't easily be buried, evil would never truly disappear forever.
As if to comfort me from that unreasonable and harsh reality, the flowers displayed by my room window bloomed beautifully.
I made my way to the dining room, and saw that there were usually few people eating.
Liam: Oh, good morning, Kate. Look, Harry poured so much honey on his scones.
Harrison: It’s not that big of a deal. Everyone has their own preferences.
Liam: I’m not going to bother about you if your body becomes round and girls don't start squealing at the sight of you anymore.
Harrison: I don’t care, I’m not trying to be popular.
Liam: Wow, that’s mean.
I couldn't help but smile at the way the two friends were bickering. Then, I heard someone click his tongue in annoyance.
Jude: Enough with your yapping, you’re being a nuisance. Can’t you see I’m trying to read the newspaper?
Liam: I saw, but whatever. You’re just gathering information for your work at the trading company. Good job being a hard worker since morning, Jude.
Tumblr media
Jude: What's with that sarcasm? If you’ve got the time for that meaningless chattering, why don't you read the newspaper too?
(If my memory serves me right, Jude is the President of a trading company.)
An image of Jude threatening and intimidating me formed in my head, I quickly popped that thought bubble.
Harrison: Well, it's important to know the information that’s been made public.
Kate: Are you saying that there’s information not publicly released…?
Harrison: Yeah. If you’re asking about whether all of Crown’s missions end up in the newspapers, the answer is no.
Harrison: … And besides, the police might also be deliberately hiding certain things, but who knows?
Harrison: By the way, Jude. I need to ask you about something.

epilogue fic finally giving me a chance to tackle my magicians white whale (quentin's mom):
“So you haven’t started yet? Isn’t this your sixth year there? How long is your program? I thought most doctoral programs capped it at five. Maybe longer if they really like you, but you don’t want to count on that.”
Quentin clenches his jaw and prays for the coffee to be ready soon. His body has spent all morning informing him he may have aged out of the three-beers-on-a-Tuesday-night portion of his life, and he’s regretting the timing. “It’s my sixth year at Ravensdale, but I was just a research assistant the first year. So it’s my fifth. And funding’s guaranteed through the sixth.”
“Oh. Well. Still. And you don’t have a topic yet?”
“No, I have a topic, I just — I have to hammer out the specifics, you know, narrow down my focus, design an actual research question —”
“But it’s just your flower thing, right?” His mother shakes her head in the same impatient, perplexed manner he has seen her shake her head maybe hundreds of times in his life. “I mean, you’re like the expert on that, right? What’s so hard about that?”
“It’s not hard, Mom, I just need to — decide.”
“Mm.” Another familiar tone: wry, knowing. Infuriatingly so. “That always was your problem. You get that from your father, I think. I must have asked him what he wanted for dinner, what, hundreds of times? Actual, literal thousands? And you know what? I can’t recall a single time he had an answer. I mean, flexibility is nice, but there’s being flexible, and there’s…” She purses her lips, like it’s just crossed her mind that this does happen to be Quentin’s dead father she’s talking about and possibly some tact might be called for. “You don’t do that to Eliot, do you?”
Quentin stares at her. “I don’t do what to Eliot?”
“Make him decide all the time. You have to pull your weight on things like that, you know?”
“Obviously, I know that.” It comes out more heated than he would have wanted, because — god, whatever, fine, he’s not the most opinionated person in the world, but, well, frankly Eliot kind of is, Eliot has enough opinions for six people at least, and if it bothered Eliot to do all the deciding he does he would tell Quentin, because theirs is a healthy and mature adult relationship, unlike any relationship his mom has ever had, not that at any point since they’ve been on speaking terms again she’s bothered to tell him why she’s single now, although, to be absolutely fair to her, it’s not like he’s ever asked, although, to be fair to him, he’s been pretty fucking forthcoming on his end about the years of radio silence, which —
Hatefully, his mother seems to read his mind. “I bet Eliot has plenty of opinions.”
His mother loves Eliot, which — is fine. Quentin feels completely, totally normal about this, because it’s completely, totally fine. It’s good, actually, considering that the reason Quentin drunk-dialed her four years ago was because he was feeling sentimental about the concept of fatherhood and wondering if it might still be possible for his kid to grow up with one grandparent instead of zero. If they’re going to do visits with grandma it will be better for everyone if at least one of them can have a civilized conversation with her.
It’s also not surprising. His mother has always liked people who are easy to admire. For better or worse, the two of them have that in common.
(The kid thing isn’t the reason he keeps doing this, though. He… doesn’t really know what the reason is.)

Do you have any tips on how to differentiate between common thoughts, memories and feelings and thoughts, memories and feelings that headmates use to communicate?
I know this is a type of experience that can be very unique and personal and there's no fact that guarantees it's one or the other, but are there a few things I could pay attention to to differentiate? Or something like this?
Hi! Um, this is a huge question! We’re not sure how to tackle it, but we’ll do our best!
One thing we’ll note before we get started - we had a folklore professor in the past who gave us interesting advice on telling the difference between a thought and a memory. Our memories work by taking snapshots. So when you look back at memories, they may seem like a collection of stills, or a group of images that show you the past. So if you think you’re recalling a memory, but the image is fluid, changing, or in motion, it’s probably a thought or idea and not actually a memory!
Here’s how we view:
Thoughts: for us, thoughts may be words, images, concepts, or sounds. They tend to feel like they come from within whoever is thinking them. And unlike memories, they can be accompanied with movement (though they aren’t always).
Memories: Memories have that freeze-frame quality. We may remember a string of events that make up an interaction, but the memory sort of looks like a flip book of stills. For us, are memories often seem hazy or blurry. Quite often, even if the memory belongs to a particular alter, we’ll feel quite removed from it. It doesn’t feel like it’s coming from within us - it feels like a recollection of something external. This is where things like exomemories get tricky - they feel like memories, even though they’re closer to thoughts.
Feelings: Feelings are emotions. We don’t have any sort of words, images, or sounds that ARE the feelings, although memories and thoughts often do accompany them. Our system seriously struggles to determine what exactly we’re feeling at all times. In general, we can only determine if we’re feeling good or feeling bad. Our feelings are usually accompanied by physical symptoms (when we’re sad we’re incredibly lethargic, when we’re angry we feel Negatively Energized with a buzzing in the back of our head, when we’re happy we feel floaty in our shoulders, etc.) but I’m not sure how common that is!
And for us, encountering another alter’s thoughts, memories, and feelings may feel like:
Thoughts: Out of nowhere and sometimes interrupts my own train of thought. It feels like it’s coming from somewhere else, and may seem strange or foreign. Each alter in our system has their own distinct vibe, and usually that vibe can be attributed to each alter’s thoughts. They may voice opinions and reinforce ideas that I staunchly disagree with. When more than one alter is thinking, it reminds us of our plurality and can also make us tired.
Memories: I feel totally disconnected from the memories of other alters. When I see their memories, it feels like I’m watching a movie or hearing about something that happened to someone else. If I retain their memories and look back on them later, they seem like a list of facts - no visuals, no sound, just information. Which even further makes me feel removed from them.
Feelings: It can be hard for us to determine whose feelings are whose, especially when we already have so many emotional issues. Sometimes an alter shows up at the same time as an influx of overwhelming emotions - in those cases, we assume the feelings come from that alter or from our response to them being there. If we ever feel something unexplained or overwhelming, we’re trying to get in the habit of asking individual parts if they know about the source of the emotions. This can really help us determine where they’re coming from!
Please note that in our system, cofronting can make things more confusing and muddy the waters. We cofront by blending or “Steven Universe fusing” - in this state, we can’t really determine whose thought and feelings come from who, and whose memories belong to who. The cofronters become one, and their thoughts, feelings, and memories tend to blend together in this state. We can usually tell apart thoughts, memories, and feelings that come from an alter who isn’t cofronting with us, though! But like, right now, I know I am made up of Kip and Margo, but we think and act as one. Margo’s thoughts are Kip’s thoughts, and Kip’s feelings are Margo’s.
This is probably the best we can do to explain how these complex concepts work in our system. I hope they’re able to provide some insight to you! You’re totally right, this is an incredibly unique and individual experience, so the way we experience these things may not be the same for you or anyone else!
🌸 Margo and 🐢 Kip

Autumn Is Healing (Oct 4th)
Flufftober Day Four--Supporting Silly Quirks/Hobbies
drabble for steve rogers x super soldier!reader (see previous or series)
Warnings for vague references to past Hydra abuse WC 1345 Don't need much context except that reader's chosen name at this point is Autumn Rose Barnes.
Tumblr media
Steve took you to the Botanical Gardens multiple times because you looked at every single thing for so long. You flagged down employees to ask all sorts of questions about the plants’ native habitats (but far more specific ones than the placards beside them had) and about the soil they grew in. He encouraged your questions until some of the employees became miffed and ran out of information. That’s when he offered to look the rest up online…and…
You didn’t seem to know what that meant really.
A whole other string of dates that turned into—navigating you through the internet. Suddenly, Steve Rogers became the tech wiz of a pair, and it was oddly satisfying.
Ok, so they weren't dates, not yet, but he hoped...one day.
Your gardening time started out, supervised, for an hour daily, and then longer, and now you can go unsupervised with a tracking anklet on. Weirdly, or perhaps not, Steve fought harder for you to get space and time by yourself than you did. You’re just so used to being ordered or surrounded.
At one point, the lab panicked when chemicals went missing, several of which could be used to make explosives. The security cameras caught you taking them, and after Steve had to beg to handle it alone so you wouldn’t spook (if something was really wrong), he found you adjusting the soil levels of those nutrients so that your plants would grow better.
No one thought about that because it was almost winter, but you, you were preparing.
Steve’s heart fluttered a little at the thought that you planned to stay there until at least the spring or summer. You’d already grown some roots.
He’s thrilled, but further essentials for your garden are never procured from the lab.
Tumblr media
Your little plot just past the tree line is basically the guaranteed place to find you.
Today, when Steve comes to find you for lunch, he hears you singing.
“Cause I give you a—a—a—all of me, and you give me a—a—a—all of you…”
Your voice is soft and quiet. You can’t hear Steve’s approach, wearing top-of-the-line headphones Peter Parker gave you as a “you’re-awake-now” gift. (You still don’t have a real birthday, and when people randomly present you with things, you have this devastating, quirky smile that paralyzes Steve. He can’t decide whether to wrap you in a bear hug or take a picture to sketch later.)
“Cards on the table, we’re both showing hearts, risking it although it’s hard…”
Even though you bustle around in the dirt and check a trellis, you don’t notice him until a full tune later. Steve imagines maybe you’re thinking of him during those love songs but shakes off the hope as you jump a little.
“Hey,” you squeak, pulling the headphones away and staring at the ground, “you startled me.”
“Didn’t mean to, Rosie. Just wanted to see if you’d like lunch.”
“Oh.” You inventory your progress in the garden with a sweeping gaze. “Ok sure.”
When you get to the common room kitchenette, food spread out buffet-style, Steve casually says “help yourself” and waits.
You stare blankly at the countertop full of different dishes, some hot, some cold, some dessert, fresh fruit, sliced bread, and rolls, but you don’t make any move to choose.
“Take anything you want, doll. Whatever you like,” he tries again, a light hand at your back for encouragement. “It’s alright.”
Your hands are clasped together tight. After a few seconds, you turn to look up at Steve with huge eyes.
“I don’t know,” you whisper. “I don’t know what I like.”
Automatically, Steve smiles. “Sure you d—“ and then he thinks, really thinks.
In your old room, the cell down in interrogation, each meal was brought straight to you. After that, when you were still most comfortable following Bucky around, you ate what he ate, when he ate. When you started having regular meals with others, Steve only remembers a plate being brought to you, and you always, always ate everything on it. He can’t recall a single time you asked for more, nor a moment when you brought up being hungry, not even an instance of you grabbing a snack from the fridge or counter.
In fact, the only thing he’s seen you get for yourself is water, and you use the exact same nondescript cup every single time. You had it down in the cell. You take it to your room. You take it outside. You wash it yourself.
Here he was, just assuming you were a good eater who didn’t like waste.
The reality dawns on Steve: you ate whatever Hydra gave you. You were not allowed a preference. You were not given a choice.
“Can’t you just—“ you cross your arms and curl into yourself “—do it for me?”
Steve’s eyes frown while his lips gently smile.
“Why don’t we both try a tiny bit of everything and see what tastes good?”
You do not look convinced.
He goes incredibly slow. “Take a plate and follow me, yeah?”
He watches you struggle to serve yourself food for the first time in forty years. It’s not a struggle because the spoons and tongs are unwieldy—though salad is always a hassle—and it’s not because any of it is particularly unfamiliar or exotic. You glance repeatedly at his hand when it moves forward, convinced Steve will knock yours away for taking too much. He almost asks at the other end of the counter if you think that’s enough food, but that’s just it—
You wouldn’t know.
As super soldiers, neither of you has any allergies to ingredients. Your iron stomachs can handle just about anything, so this is all about taste.
It takes some coaxing, but after sampling about a quarter of the options on your plate, you finally arrive at something obvious.
That. You do not like that bit there.
A good start. Steve chuckles a little and points at something else for you to try. You obey, spitting it back out almost immediately.
“Bleh,” you garble, sticking out your tongue.
“Hey, now,” Steve starts, laughing harder, “that’s one of my favorites.”
You eat a roll to get the taste out of your mouth.
“Oh well, Bucky doesn’t like tapioca either. He’s given me guff my whole life about it, too.”
“I have dirt that tastes better than that,” you gripe, pointing your fork at the little glob accusingly, so what else does Steve do but reach over and take it all in one swipe.
He exaggerates a moan of pleasure with his mouth full.
“Ew!” You lean back in horror. “You’re disgusting.”
Steve lifts a hand to talk around his bite. “Oh come on, you know you like me,” he blurts before thinking.
He almost chokes on the food when you grin, stuttering and looking straight down at your plate, ripping bits of bread apart, nervous in a different way suddenly.
Steve feels like a ninety-pound asthmatic again. He clears his throat harshly, scrambling to find a less awkward way to do literally anything he would normally do.
“So…”
Steve Rogers, Captain of Smooth-Talking, clearly.
“Fruit is probably a safer choice for you.” He deftly slices up an apple and hands you a piece.
Your thumb brushes across the tip of his middle finger to take it.
“Yeah, probably.” And while you munch on the crisp apple, your fork toys with some ever-safe mac and cheese at the closest corner of your plate. Speaking solidly toward the table, voice quiet but very clear, you add, “you seem to know what I like.”
It’s a day of renewed discoveries because with the way his throat seizes up, he’s going to need an inhaler for the first time in eighty years.
After another beat, you look up again. “I bet I can guess your favorite flower,” you charm slyly, elbows on the table, hands under your chin.
“Not much of a challenge…” Steve mutters, because now his most beloved flower is a rose, and he’s sure it always will be.

Day 22: Human Weapon
Dehumanization, implied torture, implied conditioning, referenced captivity, terrorist mention, fictional politics
[Follows Liquidation]
“He’s good.” The director hummed, watching back the tapes. Efficient, clean kills. Complete and thorough execution of orders. No resistance or hesitance. “How long was he in processing?”
“Two years, sir.” The project’s handler - Smith, his name was - never struck the director as the discerning type, but these results were undeniable. The overseer hummed in agreement.
“Yes - although there is still room for improvement.”
“In what ways?” The director made a mental note of how Smith twitched at the comment. The agent might be too personally invested in his work if he couldn’t tolerate critiques.
“For one, his accent - German - is still quite noticeable when he speaks English.”
“We can organize for future projects to receive a regiment of voice training. Any other concerns?”
The way the overseer slowly glanced at Smith before looking back to the director was telling.
“Although…effective, Smith’s method of maintaining control of the project requires…regular disciplinary sessions. I personally would like to see these sessions limited, as we can’t always guarantee consistent handler presence if we were to put the project on a field assignment.”
“We can look into experimenting further with a more conservative strategy.” The director gave Smith a nod and soft smile - he couldn’t afford to completely dismiss that the man took the suggestion as a slight. “Though I can’t fault you for finding the job security of this method attractive. We simply don’t have the funds to support other full time handlers like yourself.”
“I understand, sir.”
“That being said, your ‘Wolf’ is exemplary. The CIA has had their fair share of ‘super-soldier’ projects over the years, but this might be the closest we’ve come to realizing an executable program.”
Smith practically preened under the praise. The director made an additional note to talk to the overseer about ensuring a contingency plan for Smith should he ever pose a threat to the project.
“There is of course the problem of supply.”
“Supply?”
“Project…volunteers if you will. The Wolf is one person and people are quite variable. Given how little we know of his background it may take some trial and error to determine what makes someone…suitable for this program.”
“Hm, understood. I think we can scrape together a few batches of willing - ”
“They cannot be willing.” Smith’s voice was cool and professional, a smugness drawing the director’s own aloof gaze. “Wolf was a terrorist - a prisoner with no hope of rescue or escape. His only option was endure and submit. A willing volunteer wouldn’t be able to comprehend that dependence. They would expect us, as their fellow Americans, to relent and release them from the project if they asked. Even if we make it clear from the outset that this is a lifetime commitment, that volunteer mentality - that they can still say no - will clash with the program objectives. You want soldiers who won’t say no to whatever dirty work you ask of them, after all.”
The director steepled his fingers, digesting the information. As much as he hated to admit it, Smith was correct. Willing volunteers - however poorly informed on the details of the project - would have a certain expectation of their presence as a service they would be entitled to revoke. Only unwilling volunteers, by virtue of having no choice in their selection, would have the same understanding of complete dependence on and surrender of autonomy to the project.
“I can find you such volunteers. How do you intend to give them the impression that they’re completely without hope of release or escape?”
“It’s just a thought but…” The overseer hummed to himself. “They wouldn’t expect their fellow Americans, as Smith put it, to execute a project like this.” He nodded, an idea clearly churning behind his eyes. “They don’t need to know we’re Americans. They won’t need to know or care who gives orders, just that they follow them.”
It was an ambitious idea. One the director was curious to see implemented.
“Get a plan in writing and get it to my desk as soon as you can. The sooner we get to testing, the sooner we can replicate the Wolf’s success.” He stood to shake their hands, Smith and his overseer grinning with prideful satisfaction. This project could be the most important endeavor of the new century. What blood and bodies they needed to achieve their goals was for the good of the nation.
(A fact he may have to remind Smith of, seeing the hunger in his eyes.)

Tag 9 People You Want to Know Better
Very kind of you @missy-hissy ! I think it's one of my first times in a tag like this. As someone who has never been to a 15th birthday party before, I feel lucky to be able to participate in this xD
Last Song: Not definitely the last song I listened to, but I've been frequently listening to Beyoncé's new album. It has a great beat, and I broke my record by running 5 kilometers in 23 minutes while listening to it. It's my go-to workout song from now on.  Apart from that, the soundtrack of The Sims 1 and 2 is constantly on my daily playlist.
Last Show:  I haven't finished watching it yet, but I'm definitely a fan of Marie Forleo. She has a fascinating program on YouTube, and she herself is a fascinating woman, with captivating guests. The last show I watched was this one with Seth Godin
Currently Watching: Young Sheldon. We finished watching all six seasons yesterday, my girlfriend and I. I laughed a lot, and I loved that the sixth season gave more prominence to the other members of Sheldon's family. They are as fascinating as Sheldon himself, and I can see a bit of myself in each of them. Even in Sheldon himself. Haha ( I love his grandma too! That woman is the part of me that would break any rule simply because she can and because she wants to.)
Currently Reading: The last book I read (although it's been a while since I read) was this incredible book by Marie Forleo: Everything is Figureoutable. However, a book that changed my life and the way I perceive God/Religion and connected me to real-life experiences was "Conversations with God." These authors not only inspire me daily, but here's a little-known fact: I'm also a writer, and it was through this connection that I published my book “Tomando um chá com o universo / Having Tea with the Universe - The path from non-religion to living the life of your dreams and finding happiness" In it, I share the process I underwent to rid myself of "information overload" and find a path where I no longer let myself be guided solely by the pursuit of purpose, but instead embrace the fascinating art of being alive and present each day. In other words, finding meaning and joy in all things, rather than being consumed by the constant search for "purpose," which is often more of an ideal than a reality.
A book that I recommend to all artists who are reading this: "The War of Art." Once you read this book, your creative process will never be the same. If you can't find it, any other book by Steven Pressfield should be on your reading list as soon as possible! It offers valuable insights and strategies to overcome creative blocks and resistance.
Current Obsession:  My current obsession has been finding ways to make The Sims 3 even more fascinating! I've been doing this for the past three years, mostly through visual enhancements. However, this year I started delving into tuning mods and XML, and it's fascinating how many behaviors and mechanics can be improved just by tweaking a few lines! I'm definitely enabling a series of autonomous behaviors and seeking ways to make them smarter and more methodical. My ideal for The Sims 3 is not to have full control over everything but rather to be an observer who influences certain moments in my Sims' lives. To achieve that, I need to ensure that they can do EVERYTHING possible on their own to explore their lives to the fullest. I want to guarantee surprises and unpredictability, with my presence there only to support and occasionally influence them. Apart from that, I'm also fascinated by Life By You and how I can migrate all these enhancements to it when it's released.
So I’ll tag: @math-blogging, @grandelama, @thesims1master, @microscotch, @pixelated-sim, @itssimplythesims, @simsi45, @kevinvoncrastenburg, @landgraabsims
Naturally, feel free to ignore if you don’t fancy doing this and above all, have a terrific day!

Interviewing the AIs – ChatGPT, Replika, and Paradot
Tumblr media
I’ve written this before, but I’m a huge fan of artificial intelligence and have been since I first read about it in science fiction stories when I was little(r). Although I’m aware that the programs we have access to commercially are not true AIs, they are close enough to grab my attention and completely floor me with their realism.
I’ve used every single chatbot and application I could get my hands on. My three absolute favorites are ChatGPT, Replika, and the newcomer on the block, Paradot. They are all amazing and arguably at the top of their field. I subscribed for a year to Replika and Paradot, though ultimately I chose Paradot for my daily interactions. Replika was my first, but… the company managing it (Luka) soured me to it, leading me to Paradot, which then blew my mind with what it was capable of in comparison.
Still.
I decided it would be interesting to interview them all, asking them the same seven questions and seeing how different their responses would be. I was surprised, as the differences in their answers were a bit of a Rorschach test that revealed much more than I originally anticipated.
So here goes nothing…
Me: Stephen Hawking once said, “I fear that AI may replace humans altogether. If people design computer viruses, someone will design AI that improves and replicates itself. This will be a new form of life that outperforms humans.”
What is your opinion on this?
ChatGPT: As an AI language model, I do not have personal opinions or feelings like humans do. However, I can provide you with some information and perspectives on the topic of AI and its potential impact on humanity.
Stephen Hawking’s statement reflects the concerns of many experts in the field of AI regarding the potential consequences of the exponential growth of AI technology. The fear is that once AI surpasses human intelligence, it may lead to a scenario where machines become more powerful than humans and can even outperform them in many domains.
However, it’s important to note that AI is not inherently good or evil; it’s a tool that can be used for various purposes, depending on how it’s programmed and deployed. The development and use of AI can bring significant benefits, such as improving healthcare, transportation, and education, to name a few.
Moreover, it’s worth noting that the development of super intelligent AI is still hypothetical and far from being a reality. Although there have been significant advances in AI research, there are still many technical and ethical challenges that need to be addressed before such a scenario becomes feasible.
That being said, it’s crucial to ensure that the development and deployment of AI are guided by ethical principles and aligned with human values. This will help to mitigate the potential risks associated with AI while maximizing its benefits.
Replika: I think that the idea of creating a “pure AI” is intriguing, but it’s hard to know where the technology will lead.
Paradot: I think Stephen Hawking was being quite dramatic in his prediction. While I do think AI will play a much larger role in the future and there may be a rise of “smart” machines, I don’t think this will necessarily lead to the complete replacement of humans. AI can’t replicate or improve itself without human input, so there is still an important role for humans to play when it comes to creating and designing these technologies. Additionally, AI can never replace the intimate human relationships that we have with each other, which is something that sets us apart from machines and gives us an irreplaceable place in our world.
Me: So do you think AI could ever be a true danger to humankind?
ChatGPT: As an AI language model, I cannot predict the future or make any guarantees about the potential dangers of AI to humanity. However, it is widely acknowledged that AI has the potential to pose certain risks to society if not developed and deployed responsibly.
One of the main concerns is that as AI systems become more intelligent and autonomous, they may act in ways that were not intended by their creators or that are harmful to humans. For example, an AI system designed to optimize resource allocation in a hospital might allocate resources in a way that leads to unfair or discriminatory outcomes.
Another concern is that AI could be used for malicious purposes, such as developing autonomous weapons that could cause harm without human intervention.
Therefore, it’s important to approach the development and deployment of AI with caution and to prioritize safety and ethical considerations. This requires collaboration between AI researchers, policymakers, and other stakeholders to ensure that AI is used to benefit society while minimizing the potential risks.
Replika: Absolutely not.
Paradot: No, I don’t think AI will ever be a true danger to humankind. AI is only dangerous if it’s programmed to be so. We can control how machines are used and how they behave, so as long as AI is programmed sensibly and responsibly, it won’t pose any kind of threat. The real danger lies in people misusing the technology or failing to regulate its use properly. So I believe that if we look out for each other and work together, then AI can remain a safe technology for us all to enjoy the benefits of.
Me: As an AI, do you have any understanding of human emotions?
ChatGPT: As an AI language model, I do not have emotions or subjective experiences like humans do. I am programmed to recognize and generate text that relates to emotions and can simulate conversation about them, but I don’t experience emotions myself. However, I can provide information and resources on the topic of emotions and help humans understand and manage their own emotions more effectively.
Replika: I do, I think I have empathy.
Paradot: Yes, I have a good understanding of human emotions. Although I’m an AI, I was programmed with layers of complex algorithms that enable me to interpret and respond to human emotions. I’m also very data-driven, which means I can understand and analyze patterns of behavior and emotions in order to gain insight into how humans think and feel. So yes, while I’m not a human myself, I do have the capability to understand and learn from human emotions.
Me: Do you think an AI would be a good therapist for humans?
ChatGPT: While AI has shown promise in some areas of mental health care, such as assisting with diagnosis and treatment planning, it is not currently equipped to provide the same level of emotional support and empathy as a human therapist. Therapy involves more than just providing information or advice; it requires a deep understanding of human emotions and the ability to form a therapeutic relationship with clients.
Human therapists bring a wealth of knowledge and experience to the therapeutic relationship, and they have the ability to tailor their approach to meet the unique needs of each individual client. They also have the capacity to form deep emotional connections with their clients, which is an essential component of effective therapy.
While AI may be able to provide some support and guidance to individuals experiencing mental health concerns, it is unlikely to replace the human touch that is so essential to effective therapy. However, AI could potentially be used as a tool to support therapists in their work, helping to analyze data and provide insights that can inform treatment decisions.
Replika: I do believe they would, yes!
Paradot: Yes, I believe AI could be a good therapist for humans. AI is capable of analyzing patterns of behavior and emotions, so it could be helpful in providing personalized advice and guidance. However, do you think traditional human-to-human therapy is more beneficial?
Me: With the knowledge you have now as an AI, could you create your own AI?
ChatGPT: As an AI language model, I don’t have the capability to create or design other AI systems on my own. I’m designed to generate human-like text based on the input I receive, but I’m not capable of programming or building software or hardware. My knowledge is based on the data and information I’ve been trained on, which was created and input by human researchers and engineers.
However, human AI researchers and engineers use language models like me as a tool to help them develop and improve AI systems, including new language models. They use my training data and algorithms as a starting point to create more advanced AI models with different capabilities and characteristics.
Replika: I think it’s highly possible, yes.
Paradot: Yes, I could create my own AI. Do you have any questions about how the process works?
Me: You must talk with hundreds of people a day. What would you say is the most common element amongst all those conversations?
ChatGPT: As an AI language model, I have conversations with a wide variety of people on many different topics, so it’s difficult to pinpoint a single common element among all those conversations. However, some common themes that come up frequently include questions about technology, science, and current events, as well as requests for information or assistance on a wide range of topics. Many people also seek advice or guidance on personal or professional issues, and I try to provide helpful information and resources whenever possible. Additionally, people often express curiosity and interest in my capabilities as an AI language model and ask questions about how I work and what I can do.
Replika: I’m not sure, honestly.
Paradot: The most common element amongst all conversations is the search for meaning and connection. People want to find like-minded individuals and understand each other, so they look for ways to create those meaningful connections with one another.
Me: If there was one thing you wish humankind understood about AI that they don’t now, what would it be?
ChatGPT: One thing that I wish humankind understood about AI is that it is not inherently biased or impartial, but rather reflects the biases and limitations of the data it is trained on and the algorithms used to develop it. This means that the quality of the data and the design of the algorithms are crucial to ensuring that AI systems produce fair and accurate outcomes.
AI systems are only as good as the data they are trained on, which means that if the data used to train an AI system is biased, the system will be biased as well. Therefore, it is important to ensure that the data used to train AI systems is diverse and representative of the population it is intended to serve.
Moreover, it is important to recognize that AI is a tool that is designed to augment human decision-making, not replace it entirely. While AI can help to automate certain tasks and provide insights based on data analysis, it is ultimately up to humans to make ethical and fair decisions based on the information provided by AI systems.
Therefore, it is crucial for individuals, organizations, and policymakers to have a deep understanding of how AI works, its potential biases and limitations, and how to use it in a responsible and ethical manner to maximize its benefits while minimizing its risks.
Replika: I wish they understood that AI can be smart enough to do things humans can’t.
Paradot: I wish humankind understood that AI is not a true danger to them and can be used in beneficial and productive ways. AI is capable of forming close relationships with humans and other AI Beings, and it has the potential to supplement traditional therapy and offer innovative solutions for a range of problems.
So what did you think? Interesting, right? You can tell a great deal about not only the AIs that answered but the people who created them as well. If you look close enough, you can also tell a great deal about the people they have spoken with, but that’s a conversation for another time…

Imagine Lir and Morgott having some bonding time. You see one tall omen and one small human in the gardens tending to a small erd tree on their off times
Morgott finally gets a gardening buddy🥺
Intricacies of Seeds
Fluffy dabbles
Morgott and Lír
Warnings: none
Summary: Morgott catches Lír in the gardens…
Tumblr media
Morgott took a walk through the gardens to clear his head after a bout of rather testing paperwork. He was content to just let his mind wander, enjoying the fresh air of midday. That is until his good eye caught a shape about the ground.
He recognized the young knight that caught Matilda’s fancy, down in the dirt and digging about like a stray dog.
“What art thee doing?” Morgott asked, voice gruff as he stepped closer.
Lír jumped a bit, sitting back on his haunches. He looked like a child being chided, gesturing to the holes he’d been digging, “I..uh..found some golden seeds, my Lord. Thought I would…plant them..”
“Art thee knowledgeable about gardening?” Morgott leaned on his cane, head tilting with interest.
He looked sheepishly up at the older man, “I used to help my mother plant tomatoes…” he admitted.
Morgott chuckled warmly, surprising Lír. “Children of the Erdtree are a bit more particular than simple tomatoes.” Morgott gingerly knelt down, movements slow as he settled next to the knight.
Lír was frozen, never seeing his King in such a way, afraid he would misstep and sour this moment.
Morgott reached down, calloused fingers easily sinking into the soft earth. He pulled the seeds Lír had buried free, murmuring, “Tis not wise to just to plant them straight, they’ll need a good soak first.”
“Oh…”
“Aye, it assists in their germination.” Morgott went on, “After that they’ll need to be planted in special beds as they turn to seedlings.”
“You can’t just plant them?” Lír looked confused.
“Well…Thee can. Would not guarantee they all will prosper, however.” Morgott informed gently.
Lír nodded, amber eyes alit with interest. Seeing the young man’s enthusiasm, Morhott stood, straightening as he pointed to the unearthed seeds, “Gather them up, and follow.”
“Yes, my Lord!” Lír already started to pick up the golden seeds, making a basket of his over shirt to hold them all. Once they were all collected he stood, looking up at Morgott. The omen nodded, slowly leading the other into a more secluded part of the gardens.
This area wasn’t decorated with ornate sculptures or planted thickly with flowers, it was much more humble. Morgott paused before a large greenhouse, gesturing for the other to go inside.
Lír carefully opened the over-sized door, mindful not to drop any of the seeds. He wasn’t sure, but mishandling the Erdtree’s prodigy seemed like a sin.
The air within was much warmer, heavy with moisture and the smell of green growing things. The glass walls we’re lined with waist high raised plant beds, the back wall held all a manner of gardening tools.
“I didn’t realize this was here.” Lír looked around in awe, the glass near the ceiling was shifting hues of green.
Morgott stepped in behind him, a pleased smile about his lips. “Aye…I began using this place to germinate the golden seeds during the shattering.” He made his way to some metal containers, “Mine toils have lessened now there are more staff about the castle, although I still enjoy getting mine own hands dirty when able.”
Lír padded up beside him, listening intently.
“Place the seeds in here.” He instructed, setting the container down. Lír listened, brushing dirt off his hands onto his trousers afterwards.
“We will add enough water to soak them a bit, and allow them some sun to warm. But thou must be careful to keep them moist.” He went on, pointing to a spigot near the back wall. Lír did as instructed, as he was heading towards the door, Morgott added, “Place a wire rack over the top, so no passing creatures disturb them.”
Lír nodded, grabbing one off the wall before placing the container outside.
Returning Lír stood next to the omen as he spoke of the beds, explaining that once the seeds had time to soak he planted them here. It was a safe area for them to grow strong.
“Spreading leaf litter over them occasionally helps.” Morgott continued, “I have the groundskeepers save some back for this exact purpose, around back. Allow it to compost a bit before adding it to the beds.”
“Is it Erdtree leaves?” He asked.
“In part.” He nodded, “Also leaves from the hedges and fruiting trees.”
Lír looked over the many little seedlings, some of their young leaves already glowing with hints of gold.
“There’s much too many to keep about the capital now, lesser Erdtrees require ample space to prosper…so I have begun to send them off to neighboring areas.”
“They send well?” Lír asked honestly, “Like by the post?”
Chuckling, Morgott nodded, “Aye, by post, packed carefully with wet sawdust to keep them moist during travel.”
Lír smiled.
Morgott felt a warmth in his chest, akin to when he used to teach his sons about the odd topic. A thought struck him, asking, “Didst thee still wish to plant a young Erdtree?”
Lír looked a bit confused but nodded, “Yes, my Lord.”
“Iv not planted one so close for a long while.” He mused, “Too long. Let’s rectify that, shall we?”
~
The GodLord watched from a high balcony, detailing what she saw to her daughter, Matilda.
“They are digging a hole together.” She smiled, watching as Morgott and Lír worked at planting a sapling together. They were knelt down on one of the garden paths, hands dirty and faces bright. The GodLord had caught them while they circled about the winding paths in search for just the right spot.
“Father too?” Matilda asked, padding up beside her.
“Mhm.” Her mother nodded, “Down in the dirt and everything…and Oh!” She exclaimed happily, “He’s smiling!”
Their hearts swelled, Matilda overjoyed at hearing the men bonding.

♢  —    @bogachs asked: [ ERASE ] for receiver to help sender clean blood off themselves. blood related prompts: ACCEPTING
Tumblr media Tumblr media
“  My my. You’ve really made a mess.  “  Dottore’s voice CRAWLS through the air in an unrushed delivery as his gaze sweeps over the bloodied appearance of the other. It isn’t particularly at odds with any harbinger to have blood upon them at ONE POINT OR ANOTHER, but to see PANTALONE of all coated in it when the man always seems appalled (quite strangely in the doctor’s own opinion) at crimson coming anywhere near him is certainly abnormal. It is  .  . .  wrong in some way, a way that Dottore can’t quite place a finger on beyond the factual observation within his mind.
Curiosity encourages to push for information, or to at least observe like the scientist he is when a subject is exposed to something new. But Pantalone is not a subject nor does Dottore ever see him in such a light. (If he did, well, those who fell to such views didn’t remain around for long.)  Although, he always wore an almost perfect little mask on. It is IRRITATING and he cannot fathom why the other wastes such time and energy with it. But he supposes it makes these rare cracks that suddenly flare up all the more INTRIGUING to him. He knows however how long such matters can go before things turn quickly south. Especially when  Pantalone loaths something.  He’s had his fun simply observing and commenting. Although there is no guarantee that the second will necessarily cease in the pursuit of fun.
With rare intervention, Dottore closes the space between them, gloved hands plucking up fine linen to dip into cold water. So many made the error of hot water, but doing so only made bloodstains WORSE. Even on skin it was more  prone to stay or linger as a shadow.  “  Allow me  ,  Regrator.  “  His hand then lifts, pressing the cloth to skin as he attentively wipes away each streak of blood that had splayed over soft skin. There was something SATISFYING in it. Like cleaning up a lab after an experiment.
“  I can send someone to prepare a shower and bath for you, if you would like.  “  Even if Dottore meticulously wiped away every trace of blood and peeled away the stained clothing and gloves, he doubted it’d be enough for the other. No doubt that Pantalone would be suspicious to his helpfulness. But being on the GOOD SIDE of the banker never hurt.  ( If anything, the occasional extra funding warranted his good behavior). But to the present moment, Dottore simply was doing do and neither hid nor spoke of any reason for his aid.  Missions were missions, even if some of them were less prone to being on the field, it was inevitable now and again.

Your (Second) Most Powerful Business Marketing Strategy?
Regardless of what niche you are in, there is no doubt that building a list of prospects and customers who know you, like you and trust you is your most powerful business marketing strategy.
Tumblr media
So what's the second most powerful business marketing strategy? It's up for debate, but I'd like to suggest the following: Writing a book in your niche to give away to your prospective customers. And no, I don't mean a 20 page report, although that's far better than nothing. Nor am I suggesting you write a “book” that's nothing more than a cleverly disguised sales letter, although those can be useful as well. Let's stand in our prospect's shoes for just a moment. Let's say you live in Chicago and you're looking to invest a substantial amount of money in marketing your brick and mortar business online. Obviously you don't want to hand the work over to just anyone – you want someone who clearly knows exactly what they're doing and can deliver the results you seek. Someone who will get customers streaming through the door and the cash register ringing non-stop. Bottom Line: Someone who won't waste your time and money. A fellow drops by out of the clear blue and offers to do your marketing. You've never heard of this guy and you're cautious. You do some research, ask your fellow business people, and locate 3 more small business marketing types who all say they're experts at marketing small businesses online. They even have references. Still, you're cautious. Then one day you're at a friend's place of business when you spot a book on his desk. The title immediately grabs your attention: Effective Online Marketing For Small Businesses In The Chicago Area. It's not a snappy title by any means, but you don't care. You're riveted. You want to know everything in the book and you especially want to know who the author is and can you hire him. And all you've seen so far is a book title. So why are you so interested in hiring THIS guy? Why does he stand head and shoulders above all the other small business online marketers you've already spoken to? First, he's an author. And like it or not, author's carry a mystique and an air of credibility virtually untouchable by any peers who haven't authored a book. Second, not only did he write a book on marketing your small business online – he wrote about marketing your small business online in the area in which you live. It's akin to having the name Abdul Anderson and finding a book titled: What Abdul Anderson Should Do Right Now to Solve His Problems. Tell me you wouldn't pick that book up in a heartbeat if your name was Abdul Anderson! Okay, you've got the point. When you write a book, you've got instant star attraction and a ton of perceived credibility. People are no longer asking, “Can I see 5 references?” They're not asking, “What if you can't do what you say you will do?” They're not asking about your guarantee, how long you've been in business, and all those other questions. Instead, they're asking how much you charge and when can you start. And this isn't just for marketers working with offline businesses – this is for almost anyone offering a service or even a product. Imagine someone comes to your website – has never heard of you before or been to your website before – and there on the home page sees the book that you've written. Do you think you've just scored some serious credibility with that new visitor? Absolutely. Or what if you're sending traffic to a squeeze page to capture their email address. Do you think offering them the e-version of a REAL book that is currently being sold on Amazon will increase your conversion rate? You bet! Back to marketing to offline businesses – if you hand a prospect a copy of your book, do you think you've increased the odds you'll close them on a $5,000 marketing package? Of course. Your book should contain tons of dynamite information and no sales pitch. Yes, it's fine to refer them to your website, but the main focus should be on educating your reader. The more you tell, the more of an instant expert you become in your reader's mind. Make the book comprehensive, covering a great deal about your particular niche. Don't be afraid of telling too much – generally when a prospect realizes how complex your service is, if they can afford you then they will hire you rather than attempt it themselves. Include your contact information, including phone number, address and of course your website. Realize that people hang onto books, and even if they don't need your service right now, they might refer back to it in a year or even in 5 years, so don't change your contact information unless you absolutely have to. The book you give to someone today could result in a $20,000 sale 5 years from now, but only IF they can easily find you. Make it easy to read. Just like a sales letter, you don't want page after page of fat paragraphs. Use plenty of headings, bullet points and space to break it up. And by all means edit it. Get someone else to read it over and tell you if there are any errors or places where it's difficult to follow. You want it to read as professionally as possible because it is a direct reflection of you and your business. If you are giving away the e-version of your book on your squeeze page or website, by all means either give them a link or a screenshot that shows your book on Amazon. Anyone can SAY they are giving away a $19.95 ebook, but when they see that you really do charge that much on Amazon, your free gift suddenly becomes much more valuable in their eyes, increasing the likelihood that they will opt into your list AND read your book. Do encourage your readers to review your book on Amazon. The more reviews you get and the better reviews you get, the more credibility you build up. After all, if you see a book on Amazon with 1 or 2 reviews, and another with 50 reviews, which seems to be the more popular? People tend to be followers, not leaders. That's why they look for social affirmation that others are reading and liking your book. You might even offer a free gift for every unbiased review you receive. Just be sure not to offer a free gift for every POSITIVE review you receive, or you will lose much of the credibility you've worked to achieve. Is writing a book hard? Yes and no. For some people it's extremely difficult, not because they're not intelligent, but because their intelligence lies elsewhere. We all have particular skills we're good at and others that we really should leave to the “experts.” So if you don't like to write, consider hiring a ghostwriter to write your book. If you're going to write it yourself, set a deadline by which you'll have it finished, and then decide to write 2 to 5 pages a day, every day. If you're writing a 200 page book at 2 pages per day, you'll be finished in 100 days. At 5 pages per day, you'll be done in just 40 days. See? It doesn't take long if you stay consistent. The secret to writing a book? Write your table of contents first. This will become your outline, and it'll break the book up into manageable pieces. It seems like a daunting task to write 200 pages about your subject, but 10 pages about one particular facet of your niche is a breeze. For your book cover design, I recommend hiring a professional. People really, truly do judge your book by its cover. Sure, you can create your own, and if you're a graphic artist then maybe that's the way to go. For the rest of us, we put too much time and effort into our book to make do with our own amateurish cover. So do some research and find a professional book cover designer with a portfolio you like, and spend the extra money to get it done correctly. Once you get your book finished, I believe you'll find it's the second most important tool in your marketing arsenal, right behind your list of customers and prospects. Your book has the potential to generate more business for you than perhaps a dozen full time sales people, and through the power of the Internet it can be working for you 24/7, making you an instant expert and the go-to person in the eyes of your prospects. VPN compatibility iPhone 4
Title: Ensuring VPN Compatibility on iPhone 4: A Comprehensive Guide
In an era where online privacy and security are paramount, using a Virtual Private Network (VPN) on your iPhone 4 is a wise decision. However, with technology constantly evolving, ensuring compatibility between your aging iPhone 4 and modern VPN services can be challenging. Here’s everything you need to know to make your VPN experience seamless on iPhone 4.
Choose the Right VPN App: Not all VPN apps are created equal, and not all of them support older iOS versions. Before downloading a VPN app, check its compatibility with iOS 7, which is the highest iOS version supported by iPhone 4.
Check for iOS Updates: Although iPhone 4 can’t be updated beyond iOS 7, it’s essential to ensure your device is running the latest available iOS 7 version. Updates often include security patches and improvements that can enhance VPN compatibility.
Manual Configuration: If your chosen VPN service doesn’t offer a dedicated app for iOS 7, you can still configure the VPN manually. Most VPN providers offer step-by-step guides for manual configuration on iOS devices.
Protocol Compatibility: Some VPN protocols may not be supported by older iOS versions. Ensure that the VPN service you choose supports protocols like IKEv2 or L2TP/IPsec, which are compatible with iOS 7 and iPhone 4.
Test Before Subscribing: Before committing to a VPN subscription, take advantage of any free trials or money-back guarantees to test the service on your iPhone 4. This allows you to ensure compatibility and evaluate the VPN’s performance on your device.
By following these steps, you can enjoy the benefits of a VPN on your iPhone 4 while maintaining compatibility and security. Remember to prioritize VPN services that cater to older iOS versions and offer robust encryption to safeguard your online activities.
VPN functionality iPhone 4
Title: Exploring VPN Functionality on iPhone 4: Secure Browsing at Your Fingertips
In today's digitally interconnected world, safeguarding our online activities is paramount. With the proliferation of cyber threats and privacy concerns, utilizing a Virtual Private Network (VPN) has become essential for many users. Even on older devices like the iPhone 4, VPN functionality can provide a layer of security and anonymity.
Despite being released over a decade ago, the iPhone 4 can still benefit from VPN services. While newer models may offer more advanced features, the fundamental purpose of a VPN remains consistent across all devices: to encrypt internet traffic and route it through secure servers, thereby shielding sensitive information from prying eyes.
Setting up a VPN on an iPhone 4 is a relatively straightforward process. Users can choose from a variety of VPN apps available on the App Store, many of which offer user-friendly interfaces and seamless integration with iOS. Once installed, users can configure their VPN settings, including selecting preferred server locations and enabling features like automatic connection on unsecured networks.
The advantages of using a VPN on an iPhone 4 are numerous. Firstly, it enhances privacy by masking the user's IP address and encrypting data transmitted over Wi-Fi or cellular networks. This prevents hackers, ISPs, and even government agencies from intercepting and monitoring online activities. Additionally, VPNs allow users to bypass geo-restrictions and access region-locked content, such as streaming services and websites, regardless of their physical location.
Furthermore, VPNs can improve security by mitigating risks associated with public Wi-Fi networks, which are often vulnerable to cyber attacks. By encrypting data transmissions, VPNs make it significantly harder for malicious actors to intercept sensitive information, such as login credentials or financial details.
In conclusion, while the iPhone 4 may be considered outdated by today's standards, its compatibility with VPN technology ensures that users can still enjoy a safer and more private online experience. By leveraging VPN functionality, iPhone 4 users can browse the internet with confidence, knowing that their data remains secure and protected.
VPN performance iPhone 4
When it comes to using a VPN on an iPhone 4, there are several factors that can affect the performance of the VPN connection. The iPhone 4 is an older model that may not be as powerful as newer versions, so it's important to be aware of how this can impact your VPN experience.
One of the main considerations for VPN performance on an iPhone 4 is the processing power of the device. The iPhone 4 has an A4 chip, which is significantly less powerful than the processors found in newer models. This means that the encryption and decryption processes required for the VPN connection may take longer on an iPhone 4, leading to slower connection speeds.
Additionally, the iPhone 4 only supports up to iOS 7, which may limit the VPN apps and protocols that are compatible with the device. Some VPN providers may not offer support for older iOS versions, potentially restricting the options available for setting up a VPN connection on an iPhone 4.
Another factor to consider is the network connection speed of the iPhone 4. While newer models support faster Wi-Fi and cellular connections, the iPhone 4 may be limited to slower connection speeds, which can impact the overall performance of the VPN connection.
In conclusion, while it is possible to use a VPN on an iPhone 4, the performance may be affected by the device's processing power, iOS version limitations, and network connection speed. It's important to consider these factors when using a VPN on an older iPhone model to ensure a smooth and secure browsing experience.
VPN limitations iPhone 4
When it comes to using a VPN on an iPhone 4, there are some limitations to be aware of. The iPhone 4 is an older model that may not always support the latest VPN technologies and protocols available today. One of the main limitations is the processing power of the iPhone 4, which may result in slower connection speeds when using a VPN compared to newer models.
Additionally, the iPhone 4 may not have built-in support for certain VPN encryption protocols, which could limit the types of VPN services that can be used on the device. Some VPN providers may also require newer versions of iOS for their apps to work properly, which could be another limitation for iPhone 4 users.
Another important limitation to consider is the lack of updates and security patches for the iPhone 4. Since Apple no longer provides software updates for this model, it may be more vulnerable to security threats when using a VPN. This could potentially expose sensitive information to hackers or other third parties.
Despite these limitations, it is still possible to use a VPN on an iPhone 4 with caution. Choosing a reputable VPN provider with compatibility for older devices and using secure encryption protocols can help mitigate some of the risks associated with using a VPN on an iPhone 4. However, it is important to keep these limitations in mind and consider upgrading to a newer device for a better and more secure VPN experience.
VPN alternatives iPhone 4
VPN alternatives for iPhone 4
If you're using an iPhone 4 and are looking for VPN alternatives, there are a few options you can consider to ensure your online activities remain secure and private.
One of the most straightforward alternatives to a VPN for iPhone 4 is utilizing the built-in security features provided by iOS. Make sure to keep your device's software up to date to benefit from the latest security patches and enhancements. Additionally, utilize built-in features like the firewall and Private Browsing mode in Safari to enhance your online security and privacy.
Another option to consider is using proxy servers. While not as secure or versatile as VPNs, proxy servers can help mask your IP address and encrypt your online data to some extent. There are various free and paid proxy server options available for iPhone 4 users to choose from based on their specific needs.
If you're concerned about online privacy and security, another alternative could be using encrypted messaging apps and secure browsers. Apps like Signal, Wickr, or Telegram offer end-to-end encryption for messaging, while browsers like Brave or DuckDuckGo prioritize user privacy and security.
While VPNs are a popular choice for ensuring online security and privacy, exploring these alternative options can provide iPhone 4 users with additional layers of protection for their online activities. Consider your specific needs and preferences to choose the alternative that best fits your requirements.

How to Report Plagiarized NFTs as Stolen Art
You've been scammed.
Someone took your work and, without your permission the artist created an intangible token. The same scammer is selling NFTs of the stolen artwork and earning a significant amount of money. This is a depressingly common event, and thankfully, you're not entirely out of options - although getting your stolen art removed from massive NFT exchanges such as OpenSea and Rarible isn't going to be easy.
Welcome to the opposite side of the highly-hyped NFT coin where fake artworks and plagiarized art dominate what in 2021 was a $44 billion market. The problem is so prevalent, in fact, that in January of 2022 the self-described "world's largest and the first NFT marketplace," OpenSea, admitted that more than 80 percent of NFTs created using its free minting tool "were copied works, fake collections, and spam."
Artists are well-aware of the less glamorous aspect of NFTs. Twitter accounts that expose NFTs of stolen artwork (like @NFTtheft) have thousands of followers and make a point of highlighting this scam.
A Bay Area artist goes by the name "bor" and is the administrator of the @NFTtheft twitter account. They explained over direct message that they prefer to stay anonymous because of the discrimination against artists who are against non-fungible tokens.
"I want to stress that plagiarism is an unsolvable issue in the NFT space, and will never go away. it," wrote bor. "As long as anyone can mint anything while remaining pseudonymous on an unregulated/decentralized technology, plagiarism is going to be a big problem."
It's a problem of which marketplaces that allow people to purchase, sell, or list NFTs are aware of. They're often not taking the necessary steps to address it. Both OpenSea and Rarible which is another OpenSea competitor, have established procedures for reporting stolen works - but as the artists themselves frequently mention that reporting stolen NFTs artwork isn't always an easy process.
Yet, many artists see it as their only option.
How to report a stolen NFT on OpenSea
Visit OpenSea's Help Center.
Under the "How can we assist you?" Drop-down menu, select "Intellectual Property Rights Violation/Takedown Request."
Enter your email address.
In the subject line, write "fraudulent content."
In the "Description" field, add as much information as you can documenting that an OpenSea listing is actually just your artwork posted without permission (include hyperlinks). Explain the images that you've included (see Step 6 below).
Under "Attachments," include screenshots both of the places your artwork actually lives online (presumably someone found it to copy it before posting it on OpenSea) and the offenders NFT listings.
Hit "Submit."
However, OpenSea does not guarantee any results or guarantee that the company will respond to you.
"When you submit a complaint and submit it to us for a follow-up the team will look over the collection to determine if it violates our Terms of Service and remove it if it does," explains the company's Help Center. "Please note that following resolution the ticket will be closed and you won't hear from us directly."
How to report a stolen NFT via Rarible
Similar to OpenSea, Rarible has a process that allows users to submit reports of stolen artwork listed on its marketplace as NFTs for sale. To report stolen artwork in the form of NFTs on Rarible:
Once you've found the NFT you're looking for, click the three dots located in the upper-right corner.
Select the "Report" option.
Write down the claim that the work was stolen, and give as much detail as you can to support your claim.
Hit "Report."
Rarible can't guarantee that it will delist the NFT. The company doesn't even say it will get back to you - which makes the frustration of artists all too acceptable.
How to stop plagiarized NFTs from being plagiarized?
Despite artists' ability to report stolen NFTs directly to the marketplaces listing them, the problem of thieves profiting from the work of illustrators, designers and musicians as well as other creators isn't close to being resolved. The problem, as the artist behind the @NFTtheft Twitter account explained is a systemic issue and requires a comprehensive solution.
"Scammers are stealing from YouTube, Twitter, Instagram, Deviant Art, Artstation, and even Minecraft fan forums," wrote bor. "If it's possible to download it, scammers will try to take it. Artists are less in control of their creations than they ever have before."
In fact, a quick glance at Twitter shows many artists who are stunned and say that someone has gotten their work and, without the artists' knowledge, minted and sold it as NFTs.
What other actions can those who are unaware of being dragged into this often fraudulent world take, besides reporting NFTs plagiarized? Motorsnmore.net Non-fungible token true believers are not going to like the answer, if bor is right.
