#altersex culture is
Note
Transfemmasc perisex/altersex culture is feeling annoyed and kind of sad when I see people say the label is intersex-exclusive. It wasn't coined that way, but half of tumblr seems to think it was :(

Transsex people can be cisgender and cisgender people can be transsex. There's no shame in being both things, you're not culturally appropriating "woke points" or identity lanes in "oppression Olympics". Cisgender people have been part of the trans* community for decades and it shows how many of bigoted people are not willing to identity literacy.

Altersex Flag
Tumblr media
I'm altersex, but I'm not a huge fan of the most common altersex flag, so I decided to make an alternative. I wanted something simple and visually pleasing.
The sea blue in the center represents being born perisex, i.e. not being intersex. I got this color by inverting the intersex flag's colors and mixing them together, creating a color opposite to the intersex flag's yellow and purple.
The white rhombus represents the transition or identification away from being perisex. It points outwards in all directions, away from sea blue, and towards lavender. The shape's multiple edges represent that there are many ways to be altersex. These edges also help to differentiate it from the circle in the intersex flag. The white is inspired by the transgender flag, because its white stripe represents people who are transitioning (among other symbolism).
Outside the rhombus, the lavender represents having a queer or non-normative sex, while still not being intersex. This color choice was inspired by the genderqueer flag, as well as lavender’s general cultural association with queerness.
Altersex: A term for non-intersex people whose physical sex (or desired sex) does not fit into a perisex male/female binary. In other words, someone who is neither perisex nor intersex.
This flag is public domain! Use it if you want.

I'd like to hear how queer friendly Eberron is.
You got it.
The biggest part of this would be two of the races in Eberron -- Changelings and Kalashtar.
Changelings are the end result of a millennia of doppelganger/human relations, and therefore are capable of being whatever gender they damn well please. And, at least in 3.5e, they're canonically altersex in that they can have both sets of genitals at once.
They're the closest thing to genderfluid you can get, and for them in particular, switching genders is about as much of a habit as us flipping a light switch. While this isn't necessarily confirmed by the lore, it wouldn't surprise me if a lot of Changelings were utterly confused by the social construct of gender because of this. It was definitely the case of Ash when they were younger. Nox knew from a young age only because his father is human, but they still think gender as a social thing is bullshit anyway.
Some changeling cultures also embrace polyamory in the sense that they've got multiple partners, but they only show specific personas for those partners, or in Ash and Nox's case, they'll fool around with other people on their own time in differing personas, but only get intimate in their true changeling forms with each other and nobody else.
Then you've got the Kalashtar, who are basically a combination of humans who have willfully fused themselves with Quori Souls. The Quori are basically aberrations from the plane of Dal Quor that tried to take over the world of Eberron 40,000 years ago but dragons intervened and shunted their plane of existence away so that it can never be in the same space-time as the material plane. 1,800 years ago, a handful of rebellious Quori escaped Dal Quor, by means of human monks from Sarlona who were willing to merge with them, giving birth to the Kalashtar.
In particular, if you read both Races of Eberron and Secrets of Sarlona, you'll notice that the Quori Taratai (who's female) is referred to as both female and male, because she bonded with the human monk Hazgaal (Who's male.) If you read Keith Baker's blog (which, considering that he made the setting, is considered canon as far as I am concerned,) he addresses this, saying that there is a lot of similar disconnects between human/quori mergings, and therefore there is a great deal of gender fluidity within kalashtar culture, but more on a spiritual/social level than a physical level like Changelings are (in my interpretation at least.)
Kalashtar in 3.5e are kinda weird for a couple of reasons, for one, they use psionics rules, which psionics in that edition was... well it was a mess. And for two, the lore made it sound like the Quori just took over human bodies and it was left open to interpretation on whether or not that was consensual. Both in 5e and in Keith's writings since though, he's made it clear that it's a consensual merging. So less spiritual possession fuckery and more... weird magic/psionic marriage. lol.

I fucking hate people who add "tw rape mention" in the tags whenever I even mention that I am a rape survivor.
Rape should not be unspeakable. It shouldn't be locked up where the mere mention of being a survivor is triggering to others. My existence as a survivor shouldn't be an automatic trigger.
The idea of rape being this unspeakable crime that always triggers others to even mention the word is a big factor in why rape victims are not believed or silenced. This is ableism that reinforces rape culture. This is what actually made it take years for me to come to terms with being raped because it seemed so cartoonishly evil since people didn't talk about it.
Triggers are needed for details of that experience. Not fucking saying that I've just had that experience.
I know radfems are going to like this point, so:
The OP is a trans queer asexual spectrum altersex aphrodisian and radfems/TERFs and other bigots are not fucking welcome here. If I am unknowingly spouting their rhetoric here, tell me so I can find a way to word this better.

Honestly I'm wondering how much of the transID discourse around "want to be" vs "is" is just... well, in transgender terms, how someone IS their gender but WANTS* to transition to better match that. Like for my transx identities, I want to have my bodymind match the identities that I am more closely, and "want to be" is the best I can do in this imprecise language. As in, wanting to be it on a physical or neuropsychological level, not just on the level of internal identity. It's the same for my transgender identity - I am pangenderfluid (as well as altersex), amd want to transition to more closely resemble my physical ideal (at least, in a non-shapeshifting form lol).
(After all, the dysphoria for me comes from NOT being, on some level OTHER than innate identity, the identity that I am. I'm not dysphoric because I am, say, transmexican and am mexican on every level including physical and cultural, or because I am trans-MADD and have and experience all symptoms of MADD. Those identities mean there are things I feel I SHOULD experience, but DON'T.)
*Many trans people NEED to transition, but I have absolutely met trans people who WANT to, whether that's alongside needing or simply nondysphoric trans people wanting to who are like "I'm happy now but could be happier". Although, I've also even met a trans person who feels they DID choose their gender, and I think saying that the existence of people like that alienates the transgender community is just catering to assimilationists. It doesn't matter if it's a choice or not because bodily autonomy should not be denied regardless.
Either way though, I think the divide could be solved by just... coining labels with both meanings. Like modern discourse is so against labels having multiple meanings, but that's just??? how words work??? Any identity can be both "is" and "wants to be" and "is" and "wants to be" can even mean different things to different people!
This is an interesting point I hadn't considered.
I just think the "wants to be" terms creates a false perception. There's a disconnected where, when people hear that someone "wants" to be something else, they might interpret that the same way they might if I said "I want to be a billionaire" or "I want to fly."
I don't actually identify as being rich or being able to fly. They're just things I think would be cool, and I personally don't think that most transID people are "wanting" to be something else in the same way I want to be rich or have superpowers.
But it's not me that needs convincing. Here's an example of a anti-trace post that was recently made in the transID tags...
Tumblr media
This is who you need to convince. People who see those who are born POC identifying as white, and automatically jumps to assuming they must be doing so because they want the privileges associated with whiteness.
And the problem is that it's not an unreasonable perception if what you're hearing from the transID community is usually "we want to be X."
I think the transID community needs to do a better job communicating that these are internal experiences first, and that when they say they "want" to be something else, what they're usually saying is, as you say, that they want their minds and bodies to match with their internal experiences and self-perceptions.
Understanding has to be built on a foundation of solid communication.

"Come, now, and sow some seeds of regret in me, too."
[ Are you sure you want me to do that?? ]
Tumblr media
Hey! I'm Madison! I am from the Mirrored Gardens System, but this is my own specific account. Please do not refer to me as Mirror. Thank you.
I'm an altersex non-binary xenic being who is anattractional, and I'm a chaos middle starchild/succubus!
I prefer they/it pronouns, star oriented neos (Sta/Star works), and prefer being called either an entity or a being over human.
I support xenic identities and contradictory labels. I don't care for endos, they're not like my system, but I won't say they don't exist; I just don't care. I'm also vehemently pro-para and am an autonecro, who's close to my autopedo/autozoo host. Fight me. 💚
Tumblr media
I'm not certain what my interests are, besides stars, and wobbledogs, but I'm willing to expand?
Tumblr media
I don't really care for discourse, it's not something I would want to strain our primary host of continuing through this or his account (I also just. don't want xem to touch this account, no disrespect. I'd like to have my privacy. /lh)
This doesn't mean I won't argue with people just to argue, though. I can take a bit to reply at times, but bet I'll argue just because.
No DNI, I believe in block culture 💚
Oh, but that won't mean I won't say shit before I block you, just sayin'
(Also, sorry, but "Basic DNI" don't mean shit. too confusing n complicated because our basic is different from yours. This shouldn't have to be explained...)
Icon art, but it's been edited to have the flags and to be darkened ^^;

Feel free to tag us in typing quirk posts for us to translate , if we have our phone and glasses we will do our best to help .
We are Indigenous Turk and Bulgarian , though little to no connection to culture .
We are severely disordered ( which does infact make us a bad person , so boo , be scared . ), and we believe that it affects our gender and sexual identity , like the fact we are on asexual spectrum due to our phobias and PTSD , and the fact we identify as agender because of our autism .
We do not have DNI's even with radq's , since one of our boyfriends are radqueer and it would be dumb to put them up on DNI . We dont support what rq movement stands for .
We are open for discourse , and we probably will have hottakes here and there .
We are extremely paraphilic , i mean it , so if you find one of our other blogs you probably will see triggering content due to us talking about it , esp with our blogs that we're open abt it unlike this one . ( Though its probably obvious . )
Bodily , we're a minor .
Not inheritly theistic or atheistic .
Before you interact ,
We will tell you to kys if y'all are annoying , if it bothers you very much block me , or ignore me because if i notice you blocked me i will stalk your page .
We will swear , we will use slurs we can reclaim , we will be agressive , obsessive as it is very easy to trigger us . We probably will stalk your page if we notice that you have blocked us , or interacted with us negatively , so if you dont want that just ignore our existence . :3
We're pro-kink , or basically pro para anti-c
Were not inheritly proship or antiship , we dont care . After all we ourselves have ships that are inheritly problematic , but we keep that to ourselves .
Dont like dont look too , basically .
Alterhuman to the point it affects our personality and gender etc identity .
We think DNI's are stupid , in general , like things that will actually cause panic attacks are okay etc . And sometimes minor DNI but you cannot stop them from looking at it , u genuinely cant .
We basically worship ourselves , how does that work ? Dont ask , its complex and an insys thing that i ( the host + the cat smile fucker at the front for some reason ) cannot be bothered to explain .
We have violent urges and we probably will post about it .
I will put links , here , later because i cannot be bothered .

Question: is this normal?
I am an afab demitrans person (woman and agender specifically) and i sometimes feel dysphoric with only certain parts of me. For instance, sometimes i would like a bigger chest (as ive mentioned im afab) and so i will wear shirts that hug me or are cut in a certain way to make my chest more noticeable but i never want bigger hips or a bigger ass. other times i would like to be male but i never want to have a flat chest or be more muscular.
tl;dr - basically my ideal body would be to have a dick but otherwise be female presenting.
so my question again, is this normal? is this somehow fetish-y?
A lot of people are only dysphoric about certain body parts, especially people like you who have more complex gender identities. It's totally okay (and not at all fetishizing) to want bottom surgery and not anything else!

[Image: a flag with an inverted triangle at the front and three stripes colored with orange, lime green and fancy pink]
Freak Pride is associated with celebrating body modification culture, diversity, bodies and their subjectivity, promoting corporeal alteration and fomenting the different uses of the body.

Varsex
Tumblr media
Varsex, also known as Varisex or Sex Variant is a label for anyone who does not completely conform to the societal and cultural ideals or roles of sex.
This includes phenotypic, genotypic/genetic, gonadal, physical/physiological, hormonal, genital, anatomical/biological, skeletal, psychic/psychological, mental/neurological, or social variants as well as any other variant experiences related to sex-ness, whether they be internal or external, corporeal or incorporeal.
This definition includes those who were born with variations that place them outside of traditionally definitions of male and female, people who have altered their sex characteristics, and people who wish to alter their sex characteristics, or view themself with different sex characteristics, among others.
It is meant to be more encompassing than parsex, and it includes intersex, altersex, transsex, and all other alternative sex labels.
Varsex was coined by Tumblr user parsex-pride.
