Hey so with the barbie movie coming out mod is once again seeing comments like “I’m nonbinary and wish I could just have flat genitalia like a doll, it would take away my dysphoria”. Mod got a dysphoric culture ask about it like 2 years ago actually and now there are more so:
This is possible.
If your transition goal is to have a complete removal of all your internal and external genitalia, there is a real surgery that people get to do that. It’s called genital nullification.
It’s also called nullectomy or nullo.
It’s not a very new or super complicated surgery. Everything is taken out/taken off and you’re left with just a hole for your urethra (where you urinate out of). The urethra may be moved as part of surgery. If you research the procedure you’ll also probably hear them talk about urethral shortening, because nullification is mostly done on cis men/transfems/nonbinary patients who require a penectomy as part of the surgery.
Now don’t get this for an aesthetic or because you like how dolls look. It takes 6-8 weeks of recovery and is as serious a decision as any other bottom surgery. More info is here and here. This website has some info and pictures (graphic warning) of nullification along with phallus-preserving vaginoplasty, another nonbinary surgery.
Hopefully this helps someone!

just wanted to send in a positive message, ive been on t for a lil over a month now and i was kinda worried about bottom growth at first. ive always found my genitals gross, but i also find dicks gross, so i figured it was just a Thing id have to live with. i figured bottom growth from T would either cause no change in my feelings or make them worse, but it was a risk i was willing to take.
Oh dude. i LOVE bottom growth. i can look at those parts of myself without immediately becoming grossed out and having to look away. its SO COOL. i dont have any other changes yet so this is my favorite thing rn lmao but ohh its so cool!! ive never felt this..comfortable? in my body. Its so cool. I feel so cool.
i'm so freaking happy for you! that's literally the best thing in the world ^ _ ^
i felt the same way, it started happening very quickly and noticeably for me due to being intersex and i was just like WOW !!!! the whole time! you're right, i just. felt more comfortable in my body, i was like yeah!!! that's more right!
i'm glad you feel cool, you are cool. i'm glad you're happy with the changes you're seeing so far, that's really awesome! i'm glad you're having moments like these! ^ _ ^ very happy for you! hope to hear from you again! take care, hope ur transition is safe & good for you!

I don’t think me going into a women’s bathroom and pulling down my trousers to show random women my vulva would be well received either.
It’s almost like that’s called indecent exposure and is a crime for a reason 💀

hey, so i'm sorry this might be tmi but i have literally no idea what to do about this other than ask other intersex people. you can delete this if you want but i've tried to not be graphic. i've tried researching but i can find literally No sources about anything like this and i don't currently have access to a doctor. i am intersex but i thought it was more so hormonally. but recently i noticed i seem to have like... a small hole in my clitoris???? and every now and then black stuff comes out of it. if i remove the black stuff it comes back. the hole is definitely not my urethra. i can find Nothing about anything like this anywhere and if i find something similar it's just people insisting it must be the urethra - for me it is Definitely Not. does anyone know what this is??????? like.. at all????????????? again i'm super sorry if this is gross or tmi. i'm just so confused and can find nothing on this 😭
i wish i could help anon, but i dont really know either. maybe you can ask on the intersex subreddit if anyone else has had something similar?
take this with a grain of salt bc im no doc, but it also might not be intersex related. bodies are weird, and i hope you figure it out soon.

anyways i think it’s super cool if you’re trans and you have neutral or even positive feelings about your genitals
*before anyone comes at me, i’m not saying that having genital/bottom dysphoria is bad. i’m just tired of people (mostly other trans men) questioning my transness because i like having a pussy.

Dysphoric culture is wanting a phalloplasty without a vaginectomy and not being able to find any doctors who've ever done it, and then crying because you know your ideal configuration apparently isn't a thing that happens.
I want to keep my vulva/vagina, but I still want a penis, and I can't tell you the amount of times I've cried because I don't think this type of surgery is even done or, if it is, done in the US at least. It sucks so much.
Dysphoric culture is!
Also anon, great news: this surgery is real! It’s called vagina-preserving phalloplasty or VPP.
There aren’t a ton of surgeons who perform it in the US but some (from the Crane Center in California) are listed here. There’s also someone in New York that talked about getting a vagina-preserving metoidioplasty in a news article but mod doesn’t know who their surgeon was. More info and some more surgeons are here.
More people are getting nonbinary bottom surgeries so there are slightly more resources around now. Good luck anon!
(For those wanting the opposite of this, phallus-preserving vaginoplasty exists too.)

how do i get over the thought that i cant be gay as a trans man because i don't have a dick / have a vag? ik its alot of internalised transphobia but i just cant get over that thought and because of it i just figure theres no point even transitioning at all
hey i get that, i do. it doesn't help that a lot of gay men push that mentality and it can make you feel alienated from gay male spaces because of how obsessed people can be with genitalia. it's a huge problem in society in general but people can get weirdly defensive in the queer community, it's baffling
honestly socializing with other gay/bi/queer trans men is the solution so you can build up your self esteem and realize we're normal men. it helped me realize that i'm normal, i'm a normal guy and this is normal for us. penis does not equal man, vagina does not equal woman. trans and intersex people have always existed and reducing someone to their genitalia is absurd. your manhood is more than what's between your legs. you being a gay man means words more than you not having a dick (currently). there's so much more to being a man than having a dick. you have a million reasons to transition and that's such a small part of it, it's so invasive and rude to you for people to focus on one part of you as opposed to the totality of you.
being a guy with a vagina is honestly awesome. it's great. i still have a lot of bottom dysphoria and there are times where i'm uncomfortable in my skin, but not because it's "wrong" to be a guy with a vagina. it's punk as fuck to be a man without a dick and i think you're punk as fuck, too.
it'll be okay. it'll take time but you'll be able to get past that internalized transphobia. try to move away from cis mlm spaces and move more toward trans gay male spaces. it helps to be around men like us. i hope you feel better soon, take care.

trans masc aegosexual culture is bottom growth being one of the main reasons you want to go on T HRT, because being able to actually jerk off and people's descriptions of feeling their micro-penis get hard sounds glorious.
Hey Anon, maybe look at the notes on this post.
But being horny and wanting to enjoy the sensation differently is very valid.
