Like there is absolutely nothing gross or unhygienic about not removing the hair from your genitals! Actually, it's significantly more unhygienic to REMOVE all the hair down there because the hair is there to repel bacteria and other dirt and to prevent irritation. I'm not saying you can't or shouldn't or that it will cause health concerns if you do. I'm just saying that it's a myth that shaving/waxing down there improves your personal hygiene

GENERALLY, their genitals including the penis are protected in their cloaca which is located on/near the base of their tails. i cant figure out enough anatomy to know at what point tail amputation would get rid of the genitals too, but Raph's still got the base of his tail.

Like, the overwhelming majority of trans women I know who have gotten genital reconstruction surgery, or who have plans to get it, are doing so to alleviate dysphoria and feel more at home in their bodies. The prospect of having a specific method of sexual activity isn't often incredibly high on the priority list.

Most trans women I know who have had that surgery do tend to primarily involve those genitals in the sex they've told me about, and I imagine it's probably the norm, but anal is still very nice. Surgery doesn't eliminate what made it an appealing option beforehand, so it would make sense that some would still prefer it, and it's sometimes seen as lower maintenance/more accessible (especially in the first while after surgery if you're worried about causing any complications, or you're shy about using lube up front for whatever reason, or you're a little gun-shy about a certain level of roughness, anal can be the safer feeling method, and the clit is still accessible during anal anyways).

honestly terfs are usually the ones who spread the scare campaigns about vaginal atrophy as a result of HRT the most. can it happen? yes! it can! but i have been friends with a lot. a lot a lot of trans men. and it hasn't happened to any of us, including a man i knew in his 50s who had been on T for a long time. i'm not saying it CAN'T happen but it is not anywhere near as common as they want you to believe.

the worst you'll usually get is vaginal dryness, or irritation. i don't think it's worth stopping you from transitioning- like I said, terfs LOVE to scare to-be trans men out of transitioning by mentioning it because of how scary it sounds. it can be treated if it happens. it's not as common as they want you to think.

i've never even experienced vaginal dryness as a symptom. like. it's different for every transmasc, but. i think the potential risk of it happening doesn't outweigh the benefit of you doing it if you think you'd be happier on it. you knowing that it can happen means you can be on the lookout for it and get treated for it if in the unlikely event that it does happen.
