heres the link 2 the thread (mild spoilers btw) ill post a transcript under the cut for ppl who dont have twitter

first off i think laios relationship to sex is super removed for like 50 reasons without even getting into his actual sexuality

he grew up in a place with very repressed ideas about sex and has a lot of fear about asserting his presence in situations

his special interest takes precedent over any social interactions he has and the level of closeness he feels towards people

he has a hard time figuring out his feelings towards other people both bc hes autistic and bc he has freaky deviantart fetishes that make sex in his mind a very abstract concept <- this one is me projecting mostly

that aside, i feel like gender-wise hes attracted to ppl so infrequently it may as well be entirely case-by-case

the idea of him being gay appeals to me from the 'raised with traditional values he Does Not fit into/hasnt begun to question it yet' perspective, i lauve characters who put a lot of stock into performing a role thats expected of them and fail miserably for unknown (gay) reasons

from his perspective tho i dont think he would ever really label himself anything. hes going to pride parades in the shirt+shorts Ally Fit to clap for his friends

hes also 'cis by indifference' imo... i love tmasc laios hcs it just doesnt mesh w his personal history to me. i do think hes got some kind of therian gender thing going on (not trans or nb but a secret third thing) but i cant see him changing anything abt his appearance/pronouns to accommodate that post-canon. hes just doin his thang

falin is in a similar boat for gender. i LOOVE tfem falin but the village repression thing has been bugging at me so i dont think i subscribe to it anymore (canon purist sorry) BUT if u hold that hc i am clapping and cheering regardless

adding onto this i rly think senshi got some type of euphoria from being an elf in the changeling chapters. he was feeling himself so much i think he was using it as an outlet to have fun being a little fem and fruity without needing to justify it. do u understand

i dont have any particular opinions abt him gender-wise beyond that. his bulge is an essential part of his character design but i also saw a transmasc senshi a couple days ago that made me nod my head thoughtfully so i could go either way

chilchuck is cis and bisexual this is just canon. not even just his old man crush on senshi altho i do think thats very funny but they put his ass on a cover themed like hes in a dating sim with all the men and women in the cast and then slapped it in front of a chapter called "bicorn". i simply cant pass up that kind of overt signaling. its so fucking funny what else is there to say truly

izu to ME is a transmasc aroace lesbian (this one has the least basis in canon i just know it to be true) shes a little genderfluid with it nd uses he/she i think. i like to imagine she consistently uses masculine personal pronouns to refer to herself either way tho (boku, ore)

i think izutsumis gender/sexuality is entirely secondary in priorities to her body dysphoria. she has a lot of learning and acceptance 2 do before that kind of self discovery is on the docket and in my mind eschewing gender on some level is part of that. get sillay

kabru is a transmasc bisexual this is also practically text. his whole thing of being treated like a doll by milsiril to put in pretty dresses, plus i think it would be pretty easy for him to stealth in the west since tallmen are seen as inherently more masculine than elves

(i also think changing genders is just more common for elves. theyre androgynous enough that it wouldnt be hard and like who in their right miiiiind would be the same gender for 500 years. dwarves too)

i think he started presenting as male socially in the west but didnt need to consider medical transition until he moved to a more mixed culture where other races might see him as a woman

namari is a butch bisexual this is just canon straight up. shes not transmasc but i think the default settings for dwarven women is like 4 years of T regardless. shes a hit at all the local cruising spots despite her renfaire nerdisms i know this

and just bc im thinking abt em kiki and kaka are identical and kiki is tfem :} theyre both attracted to women but kaka is a sub so i forgive him

Qibli's just always kind of known who he is, and has been like. pretty contentedly in his corner for a while. I think it's like- a pillar of stability for him of like "at least I know I'm (x)"

Proximity to Moonwatcher puts the they/them in there bc I think it's nice when ppl get more comfortable so they start branching out a lil bit :> Qibli has like. guy who says "he/they" because he doesn't mind they/them and wants his friends to feel supported y'know

Winter- he/him (cis + gnc)

Look I feel bad making him one of like. two cis ppl at JMA but like I think it's funny if he's cis but inflicts a status effect of gender envy on every trans person in his proximity

guy who does makeup flawlessly because "it's fun" and decimates your sense of identity as you wonder why the fuck god gave these gifts to a man

Hi anon! I'd love to!

Right now I've been mainly thinking about Clark and Lois. For Lois, I think of her as bi or pan (Wonder Woman #170 you will always be famous to me). She experimented with her sexuality a lot in college and in high school (there were some fights with her father about it), but because of a combination of things didn't really date often. For one she was super ambitious and focused on her career and that came first for her, but then also half the guys who were attracted to her were assholes and she never put up with their shit unless she needed something from them, which gave her a bit of a reputation in her schools and workplaces, you know how it goes. Now that wasn't a deterrent for the resident sapphics, quite the opposite in some cases, and Lois did have some hookups with them but again didn't date much. She doesn't get emotionally close to people easily or quickly. This might mean she's demi- or grey-romantic, or she's just a busy career-driven woman who's experienced trauma and is also a bit neurodivergent. Her gender is cis and femme in a mildly dykey and "fuck you" kind of way. Also she's fairly unreserved and uninhibited about her sexual desires. She's pretty into kink and unashamed about it.

Right now I really like my transfem!Clark headcanon. She doesn't realize anything or come out until later in her life, and even then it's only to Lois, and then she doesn't come out to more people or transition for several more years, and even then only Clark Kent transitions, not Superman. In her early life she feels very alienated and very different from the kids around her but she doesn't have any of the knowledge to understand why she feels that way, so she chalks it up to being neurodivergent and a meta, and later when her parents tell her about where she comes from, chalks it up to being from a different planet. She doesn't realize it until at least two decades later, but her high school crush on Lana is half attraction and half gender envy. Another thing that delays her gender realizations is that she's a butch woman. Typical femininity doesn't fit her. So she never identified with the women and girls around her in a clear and defined way. And also the main core part of her identity is that she's an alien and a refugee and one of the last of her people, and that she needs to help people. Her gender is a bit secondary to that. She realizes eventually, and even though she's delayed and interrupted by a few crises and universe resets, she does eventually transition as Clara Kent, but stays Superman, partly because Superman transitioning at the same time as Clark would be suspicious and partly because she just doesn't mind being seen as a man if its not all the time, and she uses Kryptonian clothing technology to hide the changes to her body from transitioning as Clara. I have the full story of her transition in my head but it's too long for this. So basically Clara is a trans butch lesbian. She is m-spec a bit, but she has a strong preference for women and her attraction to men just doesn't really come up or play much of a role in her life so she prefers to describe herself as a lesbian.

Kara! Kara is a genderqueer woman (masc headband from the 80s my beloved <3). Kryptonian concepts of gender are literally alien and dont necessarily match up to human ones. She goes by she/her pronouns because she just doesn't care to navigate human concepts of gender to explain it to them but when she's speaking Kryptonian with someone she's referred to with...I guess the equivalent of ze/hir? But not that? Idk I haven't properly thought out my ideas on Kryptonian gendered language. She does get frustrated and sad sometimes about how characteristics that would have easily been recognized as masculine on Krypton are meaningless on Earth, but (if I place this headcanon of her in the same world as my Clara headcanon) she does share some of those signals from Kryptonian culture with Clara and bond with her over being genderqueer women. She's also gay. More specifically she's pansexual homoromantic, but doesn't really care for having a relationship with just sexual attraction so...gay. Lena Thorul come back you could've been so powerful...

I like to headcanon Kon as pan, although he's slightly less romantically attracted to women compared to men, and hes demisexual and hypersexual. Also hes transmasc. I honestly don't know how that would work because I keep going back and forth on the specifics of his gender, but the version I came up with most recently is that for a while he identified as transfem and actually transitioned that way but then realized his gender wasn't that and transitioned back but then at that point he'd fucked with his gender so much that despite being perisex amab the term transmasc genuinely felt most accurate, because he does have a strong connection to femininity and his masculinity, despite being more prominent than his femininity, still needs to be taken with the context of femininity to be understood properly. His gender is like the error message you get when too many people are trying to access a site at once. All of this happens in the hypothetical future though. In his early life Kon doesn't feel secure about his queerness and leans hard into performative masculinity and compulsive heterosexuality. At his current age he's just finished growing out of the performativity but still hasn't recognized his queerness. He'll realize he likes guys a while before he accepts his genderqueerness, and then he'll go through all the gender exploration. When hes older he sometimes jokes that he's a he/him lesbian, which is because he feels "butch as gender" is an accurate enough way to describe him, even though thats not how he would choose to describe himself to others. He goes and finds Hero from the Ravers when he first realizes he likes guys.

Jon is canonically bi and Natasha is canonically a lesbian, Mae is genderfluid/multigender and a bi lesbian, Linda Danvers is a lesbian, Cir-El is a trans girl and sappic-oriented aroace, Chris is very aroace with a god-induced soulmate bond (which I'm not sure if I want to keep in my headcanons?), and John Henry is m-spec and both demisexual and demiromantic.

I saw someone headcanon Jonathan as a trans man, and I'm still kind of playing around with that idea in my head and I'm unsure of whether I will use it for my own headcanons yet. I do think Martha should get to have had a girlfriend in college though. I also like to headcanon that she went to a lot of protests when she was young in the sixties.

If you look closely you'll notice that I made most of the superfamily like girls in one way or another lol

I think about a certain post a lot that talked about queer intersectionality. I believe specifically the intersectionality between lesbians and trans men/masc. I know some trans men/masc are completely separated by femininity or any sort of womanhood or general thing that could allude to them as a woman. Which is completely fine of course, I'm happy for them that they found out who they are and what makes them happy.

But within the talk trans men/masc who have a bond to womanhood and lesbianism get drowned out or shamed. Which for me personally is really hard to swallow because I am one of them who have a connection to it, especially I have a complicated connection to lesbianism since I identified as a lesbian when I was very young and still love women like a butch lesbian would (I have no idea how to describe it better) and weirdly it feels right to be seen as a trans man butch when it's about sapphic love. Because my love is always gay.

Tumblr seems to have an issue (or generally queer spaces) with trans men who still identify as a lesbian or are just more complicated with their gender and sexuality. Like transitioning would erase any thoughts, feelings and experiences and they would be a man. Nothing more nothing less.

On that note I want to tell a story with a lesbian I had and my personal thoughts + feelings.

At our queer youth group a few new faces appeared, two of them where lesbians. We talked about our experience of coming out and how life is for trans people (specifically trans men and masc since no transfem/woman was there that day. Or didn't contribute to the conversation I honestly don't remember if there were any. It could be that they were in the different room) and lesbian's.

After some back and forth I decided to speak up about my experience. It all went down to the hypersexualization of lesbians specifically and how they experienced bigotry by people who wanted to "fix" them or didn't believe they were lesbians because "their too young".

I already saw some similarities since that type of talk is pretty much common among all queer youth. That someone will come to fix you or that you're too young to know.

I started to speak about sexualization and how it was for me as a teen trans boy before I started to transition and just came out to my family (that was around 4 years ago).

I told them how the daughter of my dad's GF talked behind my back, which was really weird because from day one I was EXTREMELY open about my trans identity and that people could just ask. Like even she knew that, I said it enough times but she still talke about me to her mother.

Like she could answer all her questions, which I believe the mother later on told me, that she told her, that she couldn't answer them because she is not me.

Mind you the daughter around that time was early thirties and I was a teen.

The mother ended up telling me that her daughter believed that I shouldn't transition, it would ruin my feminine body and that i should wait for a man. Specifically

" He should not transition and have sex first to see if he likes dick. Or else he would regret it"

(I also don't remember if she correctly genderd me but I remember she generally was really good at using the right pronouns that I used around that time. So I hope to God she did use the right pronouns.)

As if a dick could fix me, like a man's genitals would be so good it fix me from my transness and would make me open my eyes that I'm a girl.

One of the lesbians spoke up and told me she had the exact same experience, how people around her said that she should try dick from a man first. That she isn't a lesbian and dick would fix her.

We both talked about it how weird it is that ADULTS talk like that to minors. We both came to our conclusion that her experience as a lesbian had a lot of similarities to my experience to transition as a trans man/masc. (And also to asexuals since a asexual person also spoke up that they had something similar told to them).

It felt weirdly validating. To just bond about it.

I still didn't work through my issues with the connection to lesbianism. I constantly have in mind to read stone butch blues since I saw it recommended a lot of times.

We talked about it more in depth and there would be so much more that I wish I remembered to write it here because it just felt so good and so right. I only remember that the other lesbian later on also spoke up and told her similar experiences about such a thing.

I felt like I was home talking to people I knew for years even tho I only knew them for an hour.

Either way I have no idea what my sexuality is. I just know that I love men like a bear and women like a butch.

Sadly I don't have the courage to go into the lesbian spaces. Terfs are currently popping up more in our queer spaces and racism is pretty prominent, which is really scary for me as an indigenous Latine man/thing. The chef (?), refuses to ban people even if he personally knows and heard how disgusting some of the things are.

I don't want to go there and introduce myself as a trans man and then have to explain my complicated relationship, out of fear of rejection. I wish so dearly I could go into lesbian spaces without fear of judgement.

I can't really identify as a lesbian since it requires only loving women and non binary people and be one yourself. Or at least that was told to me.

But I love men too, I love them dearly just not the way I do with women and my relationship with manhood and masculinity is just as complicated as womanhood and femininity.

My aroace identity maybe plays in this too, or at least it feels like that.

It's weird it's hard and I wish queer spaces are more open to such complicated things. To not push you away when you're questioning yourself, like that.

The only thing I know is that I don't regret transitioning, that top surgery saved my life, I adore my scars and worship the testosterone gel like the tranny faggot I am.

Labels are there to find words for your experience, emotions and thoughts. To find community, solidarity and comfort.

But it's hard to find such a thing when you're labels are the exact opposite and shouldn't work together.

I thought about the label bi-lesbian before but I don't use it.

Either way, it's soon summer I feel it in my bones that I will have an identity crisis again around late spring and summer with how I believe I'm a lesbian, because around that time for 2 almost 3 years straight it happened to me.

I call it the summer lesbian blues.

I wish I could be a lesbian trans man.

Even if it is just for a few months when the sun shines, insects hum and flowers bloom. When I see women in all different types of shapes and forms and make me think;

"God, I'm such a lesbian,I love women so much it tears my heart apart into tiny pieces."

On those times I get Sapho, I always look at paintings of her or read a few lines of her poetry and it makes me feel seen.

The only problem is those emotions are not anymore just in summer, they are always there but show themselves stronger when everything is green and warm.

Before when I was weak minded, I assumed everyone was just cis, like a coward (I got too self conscious that I, a trans woman, had too many trans headcanons. How foolish). And then, I became wise (otherwise known as, I'm a system and my headcanons are affected by introjects and their divergence from canon and because I'm basically a puppet for my own headmates, I default to their identities than come up with my own)

First, the guys, starting with

Sunil: There is no way in hell that Sunil *isn't* transfem to some degree. I have a whole compilation of images of him wearing some sort of feminine attire, and eventually when I go back to rewatch the show, I'm gonna look for and gather more. But as it stands; this mongoose is transfem and there is nothing we can do about it As for pronouns, probably uses he/him and she/her.

Vinnie: Not the type to care about genders or labels, assumes he's cis but probably has a bit of nonbinary in there. Probably would label his gender as "I'm Vinnie". He is extremely GNC though, but in a "man swagged out in frills" rather than Sunil's "I am an egg and I have to be thrown against a wall" He/him pronouns for Vinnie 👍

Russell: Gender fuckery central. As out of character as this sounds for Russ, I love to imagine he'd be whatever gender is funniest in the moment. The only time he'd have fun with something honestly. "Gender is a competition and I'm winning!". I don't think he'd default to any label other than genderweird, but like, genderfluid, agender, or nonbinary all fit the bill. Maybe even bigender or pangender. (Label hoarder) His default is he/him, but does use any prounouns.

Shahrukh: Checked out of the gender a long time ago. Most definitely nonbinary though. And just as GNC as the other boys, but more-so. I think Shahrukh would also be the "I'm whatever gender is funniest" type of guy too. He'd also one-up the other guys somehow. Not in any sort of competitive way, but just to fuck with them. Or just for a bit. And you know what they all love him for it!! Any pronouns work for Shahrukh.

Zoe: Maybe it's projection but every fashion diva girl in media who always has a wardrobe change is so transfem to me. Zoe wouldn't be fully binary but still extremely trans in the fem variety. She/her pronouns

Pepper: In a past life I was a simple butch cis girl Pepper idealist, but then my third eye was open and I ascended to being the "World's Most Annoying Transfem Headcanon Fan" Freakzterz (hii) made a post about how the song "A Skunk is a Skunk" is about how Pepper and Mitzi are trans women and how Mitzi is obligated to be overtly feminine because she's afraid she won't be seen as a "real woman" meanwhile Pepper is more masculine/butch in her presentation and still passes despite that. I tried to fight myself in saying "I can't headcanon every character I like as transfem" but the demons won and butch trans woman Pepper is just, like the best gender headcanon. She/her and they/them for Pepper, only the best for this skrunkly skunk

Penny Ling: There are two sides of this. Cis girl Penny Ling who is comfortable being feminine, or, a Penny Ling who is obsessed with xenogenders and identifies with every cute one she can find. Cutegender and pandagender are at the top for her. "Well... I'm cute, and I'm a panda! That's my gender!" She/her pronouns as default, but maybe some neos like cute/cutes and/or pan/pandas.

Minka: Much like Penny Ling, I think she'd mess around with xenogenders. She first decided on demigirl, but xenogenders relating to painting and space caught her interest. I'm not super knowledgeable on all xenogenders though, so naming some may be difficult for me. She/her, paint/paints, and star/stars pronouns and neopronouns for her.

Buttercream: Another xenogender girl. Firstly, transfem demigirl, but also, loves genders relating to any sort of sweets. And she collects as many labels as possible too. She/her and they/them pronouns. Maybe some sweets based neos :]

Sugar Sprinkles: Agender trans woman. Loved the idea of being a woman but so chill that gender still eludes her. Maybe thought about xenogenders but decided "Nah, I'm good." Just she/her for Sugar Sprinkles

Basic body/system information: the body is 22 years old, intersex, physically and mentally disabled with chronic pain and high-needs severe autism. We have a caregiver because we are medically incapable of living alone. We are semi-abulatory, flowing from not needing any mobility aides to canes to wheelchairs. We are a white passing(most of the time, sometimes not) mixed person who is native american(Cherokee) and first nations Canadian as well as a few white groups(dutch, polish, German, french, scotch-irish, etc.). We have multiple mental disorders though few we wish to expand upon beyond our osdd-1b/did (traumagenic), BPD, ocd, autism, PTSD, ADHD, depression and severe anxiety. We do not count the members of our system but we know it is confirmed 30+. We do not nor will claim who is fronting when asked unless we're close or in pms where that is important and we will not be announcing every member of our system. You don't need to know. Our system collectively identifies with two-spirit but that's it. We have no collective pronouns beyond basic they/them nor any other collective identity.

The system is collectively(excluding some obvious contenders) dating one singlet. She uses she/they/he pronouns(primarily she/they) and is a genderfluid femme bisexual. We won't talk about her at length but we may mention her so if we mention having a partner/boyfriend/girlfriend and using all sorts of pronouns, we are only referring to one person. We do not have any other partners.
