I NEED A CONTINUATION OF GOLDEN WEASEL!
As you sat wrapped around The Old Man’s neck, you watched as the scenery of Liyue passed you both by.
No one stared, looked, or even glanced at him, you guess it was noticeably pissing you off, because he began to gently scratch under your chin. You leaned into the gentle touch, making him chuckle.
The hand he wasn’t using to pet you was gripped around a cane, a basket hanging off his arm as well. Compared to rest of Liyue, he was dressed in extremely traditional clothing, his hair was tied into a traditional top knot with a beautiful guan. He also had a nice little beard. With his looks, you honestly wondered how old the man was, because on top of his… well his beauty, his home - despite it being a house boat - was also decked out in traditional furnishings and decor.
The only accessory you had was an earring made of mora with a dragon modeled after Morax attached to the bottom - it was a hanging earring. When you found out your old man had spent ONE HUNDRED MORA ON IT, you scolded him for an hour. Him kneeling as you stood on your hind legs loudly chittering at him.
The only reasons you wore it was because:
A. He bought it as a thank you for staying by his side, even in old age.
And
B. The damn thing cost a hundred mora why the fuck wouldn’t you
And finally
C. It helped differentiate you from other weasel thieves.
As you continued down the lanes, his little basket began to fill up, though its weight never seemed to bother him. You’d often chirp at him to see if you could carry it - you were strong for a weasel - but he’d just shake off your concerns with another chuckle.
And as you continued, you began to feel sleep with the gently sway of his body slowly walking along the paths, and probably would’ve too, if it weren’t for the fact that he stopped to speak with someone. Wait no that’s red and black bird.
… wait a minute.
“Mountain Shaper, my friend. Why do you walk among the mortals this fine day? To what do we owe the pleasure?” Did you mention The Old Man spoke super fucking eloquently? Because he does.
“Nothing but a stroll. And why are you here, old friend?” Wait Old Man knew an Adeptus? Old friend? What the hell-
“Ah, simply retrieving some items from the merchants. Nothing more. And as much as I’d adore to stay and chat, I must be off, so as to make me and my little friend here’s daily afternoon tea time, hehe!” You noticed that the Adeptus’s eyes were now on you, but only with a hint of curiosity.
“I see… well don’t let me take up more of your time.” The bird mused.
“Well actually… I believe we may have space for one more, if you’d care to join.” You looked around to see if anyone else was seeing this shit, but it seemed like no one else was around.
“Well if you’d allow me…��� And with that, you were now walking with an Adeptus towards The Old Man’s houseboat. Feeling a bit bold, you stuck a paw out in the direction of the bird. All he did was glance at you, before chuckling. You smacked your lips before settling down on Old Man’s neck.
Your mind drifted as you thought of what tea he would make today… maybe Mountain Shaper would have something new in mind… perhaps a story awaited you as well… you yawned and closed your eyes, pressing your face into into the crook of your neck.
“You feel it as well, don’t you my friend.” Mountain Shaper asked.
“I do.” The Old Man responded.
“Will you ever tell them-“
“Only when the time is right.” The Old Man interrupted. “Now, they just want to live, and I will allow them that freedom. I have no right to strip that from them.”
“You sound like the God of Freedom.” The bird chuckled, making the Man sigh.
“Be quiet before I tie your beak shut.”
“*GASP* You wouldn’t dare!”
“I may not be as nimble as I was back then, but you and I both know you’d have no chance, especially if I actually tried.~”
“WHY YOU-“
Uh oh, Old Man had a secret, what ever will it be?~ Anyway, Weasel really just wants to live life. And since we’re doing some past stuff now, I imagine they were a petty thief in their past life, which is why they became a little thieving guy in Genshin ໒꒰ྀི´ ˘ ` ꒱ྀིა!

Cleopatra runs cold, Frida runs hot. It's perfect.
yes, they both have their tickets for the Barbie movie. Cleopatra has her outfit planned out (pink pink pink everything) and Frida is very excited to be Cleo's Ken.
Frida thought she had a high tolerance for spicy food but Cleopatra is in a different league. Like she could go on Hot Ones and not even flinch.
but Cleo haaaates Tajin. Frida loves it. She puts it on fruit and Cleo couldn't believe her eyes.
Cleopatra has a cat! (i was picturing a siamese) Frida is lowkey allergic, but she can handle it. But if you thought Cleo was snooty...wait till you meet this cat.
Cleopatra snores. Frida thought it would be cute and quiet but it's actually kinda loud. Frida is contemplating ways to bring this up and survive to see another day.
Frida is an Aquarius! Cleopatra is a Scorpio (not to get in my astrology bag but I think she's a scorpio sun, leo rising and gemini moon. venus in leo or taurus. what do yall think about it.)
I wrote a lot hehe woops.
(TW: weed) Cleopatra is like a 'smoke at parties' kinda girl, whereas Frida smokes often for funsies and as a creativity boost.
(TW: weed) They tried to do a 'take an edible and go to an aquarium' date but Cleopatra got too high and freaked out in the shark tunnel. They'll try again but with an arboretum next time.
Frida can play the guitar. Cleopatra goaded her into playing for her once and folded immediately when she started singing. (at one point, Frida looked up and Cleo was taking off her clothes)
Speaking of, Cleopatra told Frida she signed up to be a model for her art class. Frida did not know she was a nude model. Frida should have guessed. damn it was hard to focus on painting that day
Cleopatra is now Frida's personal fashion consultant. She's a (cheerleader, homecoming queen) part-time model, she has a very keen eye for fashion obvi
When it's cold, Frida wears socks to bed and they argue about it all the time. They also argue about what side of the bed to sleep on (they both want the right side smh).
Frida loves going along with Cleo on her many beauty shop appointments (nails, hair, spa, etc) but won't go into any waxing/threading shop because the technicians start getting twitchy just looking at her. She feels like if she fell asleep, she'd wake up tied to the chair with two eyebrows.
They watch a lot of movies. Cleopatra laments how expensive TVs used to be but loves that they're cheap now because a big screen TV still makes her feel rich and luxurious.
Frida will be the first one to say I love you and it will mess Cleo up a little bit. don't worry tho, they'll talk about it! she's just not used to being loved (saad)
Frida is teaching Cleo Spanish, but all she wants to learn is swear words and dirty talk. it's gonna take a while
Cleopatra is a bug killer, Frida tries to trap and release.
Harriet (Frida's roomie in this AU) was extremely suspicious of Cleo at first ("wasn't she like your nemesis?") but she came around eventually ("enemies to lovers is kinda sexy...")
Frida is currently showing Cleo so many Spongebob episodes, she was sick of her constant references going to waste.
yes, they listen to a LOT of new music together. Frida tries to go in chronological order (2004 music, 2005 music etc), so that Cleo could hear the progression of music sound. (i could go on and on about music but these r getting long already)
Cleopatra is a passenger princess, but mostly because everybody is too scared to get in a car with her at the wheel; she drives like she's playing fucking GTA. (Frida thought people were kidding, but after they went soaring over a downhill speed bump one time, Frida politely took the keys forever).
speaking of GTA, that's Cleo's favorite video game. she enjoys mowing people down, blowing things up, and getting cute new outfits. Frida thinks its a good way for her to indulge her sadistic streak.
Mario Kartin': Frida mains an Orange Yoshi, Cleo goes between Peach and Rosalina (she refuses to make a Mii she thinks they're too ugly to represent her).
They become a different couple when they play mario kart. Frida is really fucking good and Cleopatra can't stand that shit eating grin every time she wins. (cleo would be like that tik tok sound: right hand on the bible, god can strike me down if im lying, that motherfucker's cheating!)

sellbot cog redesigns!!!! :D thought process + extra design deets under the cut! (waning: its very long LOL)

cold caller: loosely based off of their tto trading card! rotary phone because uhhh. duh they call people, big pointy nose resembles icicle, elongated eyes / eye scopes? idk lol resemble allan. the shape of the receiver is supposed to resemble earmuffs almost? + little teefies
telemarketer: this is probably the most. vague design LOL but they're an auto-dialing machine! specifically based off of the one from the simpsons coz it.. felt fitting idk. i definitely took some liberties but they have a speaker mouth, an indicator bulb for a nose, and the cassette portion is their eye ^_^
name dropper: this was one of the harder names to translate into a design since it doesnt have any ties to any physical items / ideas? so i ended up just building upon their base design. the glasses and bun give them an uptight secretary vibe + gave them more droopy features such as a longer nose and hoop earrings to replace the old ones
glad hander: not much to say about this one. HAND!!!!! my original redesign for this had their eyes on their palm while the fingers sat on top but. idk. it felt more fitting for their hand to be in a fist while the eyes were on the fingers. it makes their middle finger look like a nose
mover & shaker: shaker -> salt & pepper shakers. ez pz. the lids look like little hats too
two face: this was a little tricky coz i like the double face look they originally had. but double talker already has that model and i think it fits them much more than it does two face. i cycled through a few different ideas but eventually ended up with this, inspired by the mayor from the nightmare before christmas & the way his head operates :P
mingler: nothing changed. literally perfect. mingler is peak cog design. just tweaked their colors and gave them a stronger head + hair shape that stands out against the others
mr. hollywood: same with name dropper & mingler, they have a vague name thats hard to interpret BUT the og design was already so good there wasn't much to change Anyways. i was subconsciously inspired by Something while designing them but i dont know what, i guess 50s celebrities? also inspired by ernesto de la cruz from coco!
as a general rule of thumb: i stuck to the same color palette for all of these designs (except for the blue in cold caller & two face. obviously) in order to communicate the fact that they're from the same department. for the more human cogs i tried to separate different parts of the head using color & lines (forehead, cheekbones, chin, nose, etc) in order to give them a subtle robotic look but you can't really see it lol... i tried to keep their GENERAL head shapes but some of them wandered a little far
+ i actually made palettes for all of the cog departments to work on if i ever want to make more redesigns! i'll stick them here since they're on topic

Adrien Agreste x Couffaine!Reader
summary: you work at a flower shop, and one particular day an ex classmate of yours / model / superstar comes to visit with a strange request.
a/n: i've been in a weir place with my writing lately, so i'm not convinced with the execution of this one. the concept is nice tho. as always tell me what you think and also let me know if you'd like to turn this into a series of sorts.

Paris woke you up with the sound of honking cars and screams.
‘Another akumatized villain’ you thought to yourself.
You groan and roll over in your bed before reaching out to your phone and check the time. Three minutes left of sleep before your alarm was supposed to go off.
You sighed and rubbed your eyes, no point in trying to sleep now.
After taking a shower and dressing yourself up, you walked downstairs to get some breakfast.
“Morning mom,” you said as you gave her a kiss on the cheek.
“How’d you sleep honey?” your mom asked.
“Fine,” you mumbled groggily as you slumped your head onto the table.
You heard her chuckle in response, but she didn’t ask anything else.
“Morning,” another voice intervened.
You couldn’t muster a reply, so instead you groaned once again.
“It’s great to see you too (Y/N)”, your brother said, “are you ready for your shift?”
“No.”
“I’m leaving in ten minutes,” Luca said as he sat in front of you, “If you want me to take you, be ready by then.”
“Mhm,” you replied as you bit into a jam toast.

“Shit, shit, shit,” you cursed as you trotted through the streets of Paris. Thinking back on it, you regretted not having taken your brother up on his offer, since you were now late. Although those few more minutes of sleep were sort of worth it.
After some minutes you finally saw the front of the small flower shop you worked at, and with your head hung low you quickly walked in, where your coworker, Julia, was already arranging a bouquet for the window display.
“I know! I’m late,” you said while treading to the back of the shop were you hung your stuff and put your apron on.
“I’ll forgive you, if you take client duty,” she said without lifting her view from the flowers i front of her.
You groaned, but agreed nevertheless. Client duty was what you called the part of actually talking to the people that came in, instead of the fun part, aka making bouquets and display arrangements.
Just as if on time, the front bell rang, and your eyes snapped to the door. However, it wasn’t exactly a client.
“Hi Luca,” you said as your smile dropped.
“Oh, you made it on time,” he said with a chuckle.
“Not exactly,” Julia interrupted as she came up with a beautiful bouquet of white roses and gave it to him.
“Here, a flower in exchange for a smile,” he said as he took out one of the roses and offered it to you.
You, in exchange, bared your teeth to him and wrinkled your nose in a mocking way.
“Here’s the address, and be careful with those,” your coworker said as she gave Luca a piece of paper.
“I always am,” he responded before walking out of the door.

“No!” you shrieked as you were splashed with water. Your hair had come loose from the ponytail you had tied it on, and it was getting into your eyes as your coworker sprayed you with an atomizer.
However, despite your pleas, she didn’t stop, so in defence, you grabbed a handful of uncut black roses and hit her with them.
“Shit!” she quietly cursed in between laughter.
Your brawl was interrupted by the sound of the front door once again.
“We’re not done yet,” you said pointing the flowers menacingly towards your colleague, to which she laughed in response and signaled you to get out.
“Welcome, what can I help you wi-” you started saying as you cleaned your apron, however as you looked up towards your client you were surprised to see the one and only Adrien Agreste.
You had gone to school with Adrien, and you used to have a small crush on him, however you never got the courage to talk to him. Now you just knew him as the perfume guy.
“(Y/N)?” he asked with a smile. “(Y/N) (Y/L/N)?”
“Uh yes, that’s me,” you replied with a nervous hint of laughter while you rocked on your heels. “You’re Adrien Agreste, right?”
“Yes, we went to school together, remember?”
“Yes, I do remember. You were friends with my brother.”
“Still am, I never see you around though.”
“Really? I feel like I see you in every corner,” you joked as the commercials of his perfume came to mind.
He chuckled and scratched the back of his neck.
“Uh, anyway, what can I help you with?”
“Right, this might come off as a weird request, but how do I say ‘please leave me alone’ with flowers.”
You laughed and put down the black roses you were still holding on to on a nearby table, “Well, orange lilies might do the trick, as well as yellow carnations.” As you named the flowers you picked them up as well as some paper to wrap them up. “Are you having a lovers quarrel? How’s Kagami by the way?”
He chuckled, “Not exactly… it’s more of a diplomacy thing. I have to be polite, but if I must then I’d like a small win. And, well… Kagami and I broke up a while ago.”
That made you stop in your tracks, how could you be so unprofessional? “Oh- I’m so sorry.. It wasn’t my place to ask.”
“It’s quite alright, she and I are still friends. We just realized we didn’t like each other that way, it was more of our parent’s pressure on us,” Adrien reassured while admiring one of the arrangements that were on display. “How about these? They are really pretty.”
You glanced towards the flowers he was looking at and shook your head with a small giggle, “I think those are not what you’re looking for. Tulips are beautiful, they are my favorite flower, but they’re more of an ‘i miss you’ or even a ‘thinking about you’ sort of flower.”
He paused for a second before nodding, “Right, let’s stay clear of those for now.”
When you finished arranging his bouquet you took it up to the counter, “That’ll be thirty euros.”
Adrien took out his wallet and offered you a fifty note, and you immediately went to give him his change, but he interrupted you before you could. “Keep it. It was nice seeing you again. I hope to see you around, yes?”
You blushed and tucked a strand of loose hair behind your ear, “Y-yea! Sure. It was nice seeing you too.”
He offered you one last smile before walking out of the door, leaving you - a semi flustered mess - behind.
“Was that the perfume guy?” Julia asked as she peaked out from the backroom.

Akuma attacks weren’t a weird happening in the city of Paris, however it wasn’t exactly expected the be caught in the way of one while on your way to work.
You stood paralysed as you saw a car hurled your way, if your mind was working to a certain amount, you would’ve maybe said a final prayer and hope that the end of your life was painless; however, the only thing you managed to do was close your eyes and try to shield your face. Weirdly enough, the pain never came. You opened your eyes and was met with the not-so-unexpected sight of Chat Noir. He was holding on to the car that had been flying towards you a moment earlier.
“Thank yo-”
“Watch out!” he said and in a quick gesture took you by the waist and carried you away with his staff.
The air was knocked out your lungs and you held on tightly to the hero. You could feel his muscles working beneath his suit as he held on to his staff. When he deemed you a safe distance away, he put you down, and before you could say something he spoke.
“You work at the flower shop, right?”
You were left speechless for a short moment. It was such a weird thought that Chat Noir might have seen you, and even bought from your flower shop in his civilian form.
“Uh-yes. I do.”
He looked like he wanted to say something else, but a crash far away, that came from the battle caught his attention. “Right, I have to go. Be careful next time m’lady, and don’t be afraid to catcall me if you need anything,” he said with a wink as he took your hand and kissed it.
You rolled your eyes playfully and smirked at him. “Thank you chaton. I’ll keep you in mind.”
“I sure hope so.”
When you finally arrived to work you saw Julia attending a lady from the cashier. You gave her an apologetic look and immediately walked to the back. A few seconds later, you heard the front bell ring, signaling that the lady had exited the shop, and sure enough she peered inside the backroom with a glare.
“I swear this time it wasn’t my fault.”
“Mhm, of course it isn’t.”
“An akumatized villain threw a car at me!”
“And Ladybug saved you, am I right?”
“Actually, Chat Noir did.”
“It doesn’t matter anyway, you’re here now.”
You laughed and set up your working space, before starting to work on the delivery arrangements your brother was supposed to deliver tomorrow.
The day went by in a blur, and it passed amongst clients, deliveries and random conversations with Julia.
“I’m heading out (Y/N)! You can close by yourself tonight, right?”
“Of course, enjoy your date! You have to tell me how everything goes, ok?”
“I’ll make no promises!” she called out before leaving.
As you were closing, something caught your eye. A red bouquet of flowers sat on the check-out desk, you didn’t remember placing it there, or using any red flowers today for that matter. You furrowed your eyebrows in confusion and upon clear inspection you realized it was a beautiful bouquet of red tulips. You gasped softly and went up to it, there was a note attached to it that simply read: ‘Thinking of you.’
Your cheeks tinted red and you glanced over your shoulder, before gently pressing the flowers to your nose. You smiled to yourself and started your walk home in a happy bliss.

Heyyy, thank you for my first ask hehe 🫶🏿hope you like it x (Also I attached a link to the dress in the text, it’s the second pic in the tweet, so so pretty!)
“Babe you’ve been in bathroom for over an hour, are you sewing your dress or something? It’s already past 10!” You hear your boyfriend yell from behind the door, you can practically hear his stomp him foot and his pretty lips turn up in a pout.
“I’m almost done Kyks, I promise.” You’re rummaging around your make up drawer, trying to find your favourite brown lip liner and gloss. One of these days, you’re going to organise this space for real, you probably spent more time trying to find make up than actually putting it on. You quickly do your lip combo, pull two braids out of your pony tail to frame your face and check yourself out once more in the mirror before leaving the bathroom. Grabbing your bag off the bed you shared, you make your way down the steps of the apartment, your boyfriend mumbling to himself and fiddling with his watch as he waits for you.
“Bébe, calme-toi (Baby calm down), I’m here.”
“About ti-“ He stops mid sentence, his eyes growing wide once they land on you.
“Merde,” He whispers, stepping closer to you.
You’re wearing an original from the Thierry Mugler 1999 Spring/Summer collection, a long white piece with big orange, blue and purple flowers adorning the dress. The material is light and airy, it almost feels like you were wearing nothing at all which makes it a bit tricky because you’re barely 5’6 and clearly the model back in 1999 was much taller because the dress is a little longer on you so you’d have to remember to lift it when walking or you’re very likely to end up on your ass. The Rene Caovilla gold butterfly lace up heels on your feet gave you a little bit extra height, so you reckon you should be okay. Your hair is up so all of your face visible, you know your make up looks especially great tonight too.
“You like?” You grin, your arms instinctively wrapping around his neck as he holds onto your waist.
“Mmm.” He barely replies before bringing his lips down to meet yours. The kiss is a lot fiercer than you expect it to be, Kylian’s mouth almost bruising yours. His hand travels to your ass, clutching it through the dress as he breaks the kiss to pepper them across your jaw instead. You moan a little when you feel his teeth nip at the sensitive part on your neck, his tongue reaching out to sooth it afterwards.
“Kylian, what happened to being late?” You say breathlessly as his mouth works wonders on your neck.
“If you can make us late, so can I.” He moves back up to capture your lips again and you lean into him, losing yourself in the kiss as your leg lifts off its own accord to wrap around his leg. But when you feel Kylian’s hand swipe across your ass and onto your thigh, inching upwards, you pull your yourself back from the kiss, before it travels any further. Kylian leans forward for another kiss and you place your hand on chest, to push him away.
“Ky, I didn’t look this good just for you to ruin it before anyone else has seen me?”
“I can’t help myself, you look incredible mon amour.”
He leans towards you again, his lips hovering above your ear.
“I’ll be quick.” He whispers, kissing your earlobe. He knows that’s one of your most sensitive spots that turns you to instant mush.
Sneaky bastard.
“And we’ll be late, cmon, we have two hours left of the year. Maybe if you’re lucky, I’ll let you start of 2023 by taking the dress off me when we get back.” You wink, already by the door. “Keep your hands to yourself at the party, Mbappe.”
“Mbappe? I must be in trouble.” He laughs, shutting the door behind him before you ride the elevator down to your town car.

The party is great, the atmosphere is lively and everyone looks gorgeous. Almost all of the PSG team and associates are there, and it’s been a wonderful night. You’d danced with the other WAGs while the men are at the bar, chatting and doing goodness knows what else, but now it is nearing midnight, about 30 minutes to go. Kylian searches for you in the crowd, but you’re no where to be found on the dance floor. He spots Hakimi with his wife and walks over to them, waving to them to get their attention.
“Have you seen Y/N?” He yells over the music.
“I think she went to the bathroom a few minutes ago.” Hiba replies, and he thanks them before heading in your direction. He’s about to climb the steps when he sees you at the top.
“Baby!” You shout, breaking out in a grin, excitedly running down the stairs to meet him, when it happens all too fast. The heel on your left sandal catches onto the back of the too long Mugler dress and trips you, sending you tumbling down. You land awkwardly on your ankle, hitting your head on the corner of one of the steps.
“Y/N!” The scream that leaves Kylian is horrifying as he crouches over you, face in his hands. “Shit, SHIT, Y/N, your head, you’re bleeding.”
You reach up to touch your forehead and surely enough, there’s a little bit of blood on your fingers when you bring them back down, but nothing alarming. Your head throbs a little bit and there’s a shooting pain in your ankle, but other than that, you feel relatively okay. You wince trying to stand back up, and you decide it’s better to just stay seated. Everyone is crowded around you, wondering if you’re okay.
“Ky, I’m okay.”
“Your head Y/N, I need to call an ambulance.”
“Kylian, I do not need an ambulance. Don’t be so dramatic.” But it’s too late, he’s already on the phone requesting one as soon as possible. Someone hands you a hand towel hold it to your forehead to try and stop the bleeding.
“Babe, can you stand? You know what, never mind.” Before you know it, you’re swept off your feet, Kylian lifting you from the floor, carrying you bridal style through the building.
“Oh my god, Kylian put me down! Ky this is so embarrassing I can walk!” Everyone watches on as he pushes his way through the crowd, whispering amongst themselves and gasping as you pass them.
“God, Y/N! Are you okay?? Dude what happened??” Hakimi rushes over to Kylian, worried when he sees you in his arms.
“Hakimi tell your boyfriend to put me down. I tripped and he’s acting like someone pushed me off a cliff, I’m fine!”
“She fell down the stairs, I’m taking her to the emergency room, I’ll see you guys later, happy new year.” Kylian says quickly in one breath, before rushing the both of you out of the main door into the open air.
“Kylian, you’re ridiculous, I’m fine, please put me down.”

“You’re so fucking dramatic.” You roll your eyes, but you stop fighting in his arms because you realise it’s pointless, he isn’t going to put you down until the ambulance arrives so you’re finally glad when it does and he sets you down on the stretcher while a paramedic looks at you.
“The cut is pretty deep ma’am, and you may need a cast for that ankle, it’s not an immediate emergency, but we’ll drive you down to the hospital and get you fully checked out to be on the safe side. Don’t want you walking too much on that ankle, could make it worse.”
“Can I ride in with you?” Kylian asks, his hand never leaving yours. “I didn’t bring my car with me tonight.”
“Of course, Mr Mbappe.”
“No, Kylian, you can stay, enjoy the party, I’ll call my sister to pick me up later.” You feel awful for ruining the evening for him. He’d been looking forward to this all week, especially after how hard he’s been working the past month with the team to secure their lead at the top of the league table.
“And leave you alone just before the new year? Absolutely fucking not.” He steps into the back of the ambulance as the paramedic closes the door and starts to drive toward the hospital.
“I’m sorry.” You croak, your voice breaking, tears forming in your eyes, partly because of how guilty you feel and also because the adrenaline has now worn off and the throbbing in your head and shooting pain in your ankle are now in competition to see which can make you cry the most.
“For what mon amour,” His eyes are so tender and worried as they scan your face it makes you cry even more.
“Ruining your night, making you leave the party because I’m stupid and clumsy. This is isn’t how you wanted to enter the new year. In the back of an ambulance away from all the fun and your friends and-“
“With you. Y/N we could’ve ended this night drenched in horse shit in a barn and I still wouldn’t care because I’d be with you.” You hear the radio from the front of the van as the countdown into 2023 begins.

“I don’t deserve you.” You pout, and he leans forward to kiss you lightly.
7, 6, 5,
“I don’t deserve you either. So in that way, we’re perfect for each other. And look, when you change into a hospital gown, I’ll be there to take the dress off. So technically, I still win, and get to start 2023 exactly how I wanted to.” He smiles, and you’re hurting now, but for a completely different reason. Your heart tugs, you were so in love with this man in front of you. There’s absolutely no one else in the world for you but him.

Congrats on finishing the penultimate final episode of SL’s Season 5!!! And now for the season finale: What do you think of Audrey, her akuma, and Style Queen’s plot once you rewatch the episode?
The episode is...fine? On it's own? Like, I kinda just like it.
Well, as a character intro, it's pretty perfect. You know everything about Audrey in so little time:
Style Queen Magazine Fashion Critic
Harshest Fashion Critic in the World
Fires People at the Drop of the Hat, even the ones who don't work for her
Chloe mimics all her mannerisms and phrases -> Chloe sees Audrey as a role model to emulate -> Audrey is adult Chloe
Audrey sees no value in remaining in Paris despite her whole ass family living there -> Audrey doesn't give a single fuck about her family
Reinforced by her getting her husband and own daughter's names incorrect several times (she calls her CASSEROLE at one point!) though at least she has the good grace to look embarrassed for a second when she does and at least she corrects herself with the correct name.
She sure does get Gabriel's name right though, suggesting she holds him in better (or at least higher) regard than her own family. Maybe this is where Chloe got her Bourgeois Family Rule No. 148: You Need a Guy Best Friend to "Wrap Around Your Finger". This also suggests that her career ties are more important to her than her family ties.
Also it's interesting that she remembers Marinette's name when it comes up again...
In the two minutes they have Audrey talking in the opening, you know everything about her, and all signs point to her being a total asshole. And we all thought it was just Andre spoiling Chloe rotten that made her that way...
So I guess I'll just go chronologically for the set up to the akuma:
Liked: Marinette's imposter syndrome was depicted very well and is in line with her character. This was a pretty good use of Marinette's anxiety for the sake of exposition - her being tightly wound and going over her hat again and again so many times it makes her late, late enough to catch Audrey arriving so she can panic over that, and her getting to hear Audrey's interview with Nadja and panicking over that. All this set up helps the audience realize there's actually a stake here, since theoretically Audrey's opinion could make or break Marinette's dreams of being a designer.
Liked: Chloe trying to insult Marinette but ends up just doing a speed-run intro, pointing her out as a designer to Audrey and even showing off the detailing of her stitched signature. Maybe if Chloe hadn't gone out of her way to point these things out, Audrey wouldn't have taken an interest in Marinette in the first place, lol. Though obviously you'd only know that if you also watch "Queen Wasp".
Liked: This teeny tiny hint that Adrien isn't that into modeling, or at least not into modeling his dad's clothes, since he bemoans that he feels awkward. I liked that Adrien saw right through Marinette's imposter syndrome moment and actually cheered her up, and I like that Marinette complimenting his strut got him out of his funk in return without her even realizing it.
Liked: Oh c'mon we all liked it when Nathalie put Audrey in her place. It would be the dead pan snarky one that reminds Audrey that she doesn't work for her. The fact that Nathalie even smiles at Marinette when she presents the now vacant seat just sealed in that, on top of it being deliberate for Gabriel's plan, Nathalie enjoyed it. And so did I, Nathalie.

I'll stop going chronologically here. The akuma is pretty good, though just like Audrey herself, better at a distance (her faaaaace, what is happening?!) and idk the back of her head is crazy. I think they were going for a Statue of Liberty Crown shape with her hair, but the back is just...cut off and flat.

As far as the fight goes, it's just Ladybug getting her ass beat even AFTER figuring out a way to slow Style Queen down with just her Lucky Charm, so I guess this IS Hawkmoth's "masterpiece". Though that does make her being so easily beaten in "Optygami" kinda weak. I guess all Ladybug really needed was help.
And obviously we were all robbed of Bee!Alya.
And obviously Plagg was MVP.
Chloe was also pretty good in this episode (in the way I think she's good, as a complete brat). She would bluff her way into signing up to be her mom's assistant, and while it was momentarily sweet of her to be worried about Adrien, you can still tell she's her asshole self when she starts down the stairs with her mom and talking about how AWESOME THEIR TEAM-UP WAS.
I know she was just leading up to suggesting she go to New York to be with her mother, but going on about how GREAT it was to "fire incompetents" together kinda puts into question just how much you were bluffing there, Chlo.
And of course Audrey calls the idea of Chloe going to New York with her ridiculous, but follows it up with "first I need to get back to Gabriel's fashion show", so there's a few ways to interpret that.
Is the idea of taking Chloe with her at all ridiculous?
Or Is it ridiculous to take Chloe to New York right now because the Fashion Show is still on? As in, that's not the order of things, or it's ridiculous because Audrey's not even going back to New York right away?
If it were any other character, I'd say she obviously meant the idea of Chloe going with her at all, but it's Audrey. Petty, career focused, only looking two steps ahead Audrey.
Then again, I'm probably just trying to make this more difficult and deeper than it is. It's probably just the former, she rejected Chloe flat out, especially when we know what's coming in "Queen Wasp". Idk who I'm defending here, it's a lost cause.
I guess what I'm getting at is that Audrey is fascinating as a character study in all these little ways that I'm not fully sure the show intended. Like her looking guilty when she screws up Chloe's name, even as an akuma. Or instead of listing the reasons why Chloe going to New York is ridiculous by tearing Chloe down, she instead is pointing out that they have somewhere else to be first. Where she comes across as not so much trying to be intentionally malicious but instead thoughtlessly cruel.
Don't get it twisted, though, she's still an asshole.

(imagine its a fem day. and he just sits there with a skirt. and radiating dom energy. my minds too stuck on bamf ladies. also you dont have to wear a skirt if you dont wanna, i just like em. but uh. its like a superiority thing. (bruh imagine someone bumps into them- or.. wHATEVER pronoun. uh. fuck. i said them for riddle cause im too used to he/they characters. wtf pronouns do i use for him??? uhm. but so someone bumps into riddle. and then they just blurt out 'pls step on me'. and hes like wha? [cuz he comes off strict and intimidating, but hes also sometimes clueless/oblivious, poor sheltered bby] and then they eep and run away hehehehe ...imagine he asks cater what that meant [because cater knows a lot of weird stuff]. cater spits out his tea like WHAT. HUH? actually LMFAO- 'i never expected to hear those words come out of riddles mouth! and he said it so straight-faced too!')
..i have a hunch you probably thought id put 'step on me mommy' but
im. kind of not a fan of the sexualization of those words cause now i can never unsee it when its just an innocent version
i feel like.. riddle has a lot of problems with his mom. one including not wanting to be too similar to her, or being compared to her (and regretting that he'd basically become a mini-her for awhile there, although in more serious words)

[i have no gender so i dont get it] ive seen in some writing they use like. she/her on a she/her day. or he/him on a he/him day. but could you also just... stay to another pronoun too? i mean. theres probably she/they and he/they that works there. she/he does too. ..is it she/he? or is it she/him? probably she/he. idfk. i mean. i have a bias towards he/they. but like. if you're leaning more towards feminine.. do you match feminine pronouns too or is it just based on how you're feeling and it can really just go either way??? i kind of want to write a genderfluid riddle in a purely self-indulgent way. but i dont know what to do about the pronouns or if i should change them)

marinette headcanon time
marinette’s knees are filled with little scars and long-term bruises from how many time she falls over 
she carries a very cute first aid kit in her backpack just in case her skin breaks or if she needs a quick ice pack (those lil crack and shake things that get really cold)
marinette became the go to person when somebody got hurt is phys ed when the teens were younger. she eventually got first aid certified.
 marinette used to carry a bit more weight (you see her parents genetic make up) but from becoming ladybug she burns a lot of calories/fat from running around all day. to keep people/parents from getting suspicious, she starts running which keeps her even more in shape.
little marinette got into sewing because her mom always needed to repair her clothes from the rips and tears they would get from her falling over. she felt guilty about it so she said that she would do it. her mom taught her then she started teaching herself
I love the idea that Adrien and Marinette get stronger and more flexible from using the miraculous. Adrien has an excuse that this is how he needs to look for modeling (everyone believes that) but marinette has less of an excuse so she has to flub saying she started going to the gym and attempt to become less clumsy. not wanting it to be a lie, she starts going to a gym once a week for an hour (this is where she does her runs instead).
marinette meditates with her mom whenever she’s stressed and gets lightly told off when she starts fidgeting too much
along with Tikki’s cookies, marinette keeps a stash of protein shakes and protein bars in her room
 marinette has ADHD so she is prone to zoning out and has accidentally zoned out in someone’s direction before then zones back in and profusely apologizes for ”staring” at them
marinette will hyperfocus on a project for hours and she has almost missed patrol several times because of it.
adding onto that, she will sometimes be working till 3 am so getting up at 7 am for school is really hard. (delayed sleep phase syndrome let’s goooo)
on top of that, coffee is her best friend. not because of the energy boost but it keeps her focused in school. (Alya doesn’t know about the ADHD at first and thinks her best friend has a severe coffee addiction)
from becoming ladybug, Marinette has actually gotten very coordinated.  she was very clumsy as a kid, but now it only spikes when she feels emotionally vulnerable. (i.e. around Adrien, when she’s nervous)
 Adrien is Marinette’s first big crush  so for the first few weeks marinette actually was really uncomfortable. she was having an internal battle of never feeling something like a crush before and also beating herself up over the idea that this might be a celebrity crush and she’s just a crazy fan
i saw this somewhere else but marinette doesn’t like horror movies not because they scare her but because they are underwhelming to her. mari and the gang will be having a movie night and she’ll just sit their with her arms crossed and say “I’ve seen worse.” and alya nino and adrien will just looked at her absolutely baffled. (even though adrien is chat noir, he’s had less exposure to scary things growing up)
adding onto that, marinette 100% had unrestricted internet access as a kid but she does not let it show
Marinette doodles on her skin in pen and one time she was drawing on her arm in red pen in class and an akuma related explosion happened really close. The pen exploded all over her skin and it looked like she had just killed someone.
marinette wanted to join the costume department for theater but because of her crammed schedule she can’t do it. everyone is confused as to why she doesn’t bc she’s perfect for it.
marinette matches the color of her hair ties to her outfit
marinette is better at listening to people in chinese then speaking or writing it
marinette actually gets along with her grandma really well and that’s why her grandma knew exactly what bike to get her
even though Marinette’s focus is in high fashion, she loves learning about streetwear and street fashion in places like Japan and the US
she is an absolute force to be reckoned with when she’s being stubborn about something 
she indulges in the confidence that being ladybug gives her from time to time so when chloe is back on her bs she claps back better than the last time
 a personal retcon is she gets a hold of her boy crazy-ness after the first few weeks. (the show really did her dirty on this like stalking? stealing? they should not be promoting that behavior to kids tbh)
marinette wears her new designs to school. she also secretly has a commission style business (so she can keep on top of orders bc she is just 1 person)
all and all, she is a little frazzled gremlin and i wish we got more of that blunt ,frazzled, always-busy, gremlin side of her

You said last month that it's not Ekko if he's not involved in activism, anarchism, just actively doing shit to make a change. I absolutely agree. But you also said you "come out of a particular background and that means [you] have certain thoughts and approaches to social change that leave out things that others do and are involved in". Would you please elaborate further on that? Not just for writing Ekko, but for the sake of knowing and maybe applying to real life. You made me curious.
So I sat on this for a while not because I didn't want to answer it but because I wanted to answer it thoughtfully, and I've typed out some things that didn't feel right, but I'm going to try again now.
I tried to find the exact context for where I said that and I failed lol so I am working off memory, but again I will try.
So in terms of background, I'm a Black American. When I was young, I pretty much assumed that my family history would be depressing and I didn't want to look into it. And some of that is there: family trees that get lost once you hit enslavement, dysfunction you can pretty much trace right back to that period, having to explain to people that your family is on the light side not because of consensual relationships but because you're from one of those states that exported slaves, you get the deal. A byproduct of this is that by the time I was an adult and wanted to dig into it and found that there was actually a lot to learn, many of the elders I wanted to learn from had passed on.
That, mixed in with me trying to understand my... financially turbulent?? life led me to engage with black radical thinkers as an adult. And that led into left-wing politics in general. So that's like half of it.
The other half is I've always been the type of person who likes a hands-on problem. My approach to social change has always just been "find a problem and throw myself at it." And that translated into a social service background. Even now, to pay for my classes, I work in social services at my university, still throwing myself at a problem that's sort of followed me around for a decade or so now. I'm not in love with the conditions of trying to fight a problem within the walls of an institution that helps perpetuate them, but for me, the immediacy of people's needs supersedes any need I feel for ideological consistency.
On top of that, I study race. And media. So imagine my excitement when I see Ekko!
I don't know that I've ever encountered a character who checked so many boxes. He sees problems and throws himself at them. He practices radical compassion with people struggling with substance use. AND their victims. And even though he's fighting Silco, he knows that the problems in the city go straight to the top (I oughta write a fic someday where he does make it across the bridge and gets to yell at the council because he so deserves that).
He grieves. I've said before that grief is the emotion that has most defined my adult life. I feel like I'm always grieving. And Ekko models how you do that and keep moving. Rather than giving into the hopelessness of the setting, he creates a place where people can heal and be their best selves. AND HE HAS NATURAL HAIR!!! My natural hair journey is another story but it's honestly tied up in all of this lol.
He's like a treasure trove of things that matter to me, honestly. I'm not even sure how much I realized it at first. But as time passed, I'd keep going back to this character and thinking. His revolutionary spirit is truly to be admired. And I think that evolution in how I've thought about him comes through pretty clearly in my writing, as I come to fully embrace a bottom-up style of conceptualizing revolutionary thought and practice. I know I'll grow and change as I get older, learn more, and do more, but at this particular moment, I think Ekko has a lot of value for me.
So what am I not interested in? Off the top of my head...
versions of the character that leave out that political dimension. I'm not inserting politics into the show. The division between what is political and isn't is a false one. If the politics aren't registering, that's because they're close to the politics of the status quo
which is not to say I think everybody has to write him with politics fully foregrounded, but I wish more people would, you know?
and speaking of the politics, not really interested in ones that aren't radical. Not trying to pass a certain purity test, but we can keep in mind that Misfit Toys shows Scar beating up a dummy Enforcer, in gear. Which they probably got by fighting them. Fun!
another thing I think is key and I would like to see engaged with more is that Ekko doesn't view people using shimmer as enemies. I honestly wonder whether the Firelights know as much as they do about Silco's stuff because they have members who formally worked in the syndicate.
and I bring that up because another thing that the show as a whole and Ekko's interactions with Jinx invite us to think about is not viewing anyone as too far gone. I think in the rush to clearly delineate good and evil, we make too many lines and ignore the material conditions that motivate and contextualize people's actions.
and on that note, I don't like to make Ekko a paragon. I think casting him as a pure soul who is working tirelessly for his people ignores his indignation at the situation around him and how he is actively choosing, every day to do the things he does. I like to keep agency foregrounded.

As a reminder, because I sort of missed it in my last post: Fearne absorbing and re-activating the shard also awakened Ashton's shard, and they were both transformed.
"What if every so often an ancient stone titan surfaces on Ashton's face and he goes, 'oh, the ancient times!'" boy that is RICH coming from Laudna--
On the bright side, now that the shard has been absorbed, Delilah's want for it has subsided.
Chetney talks about his family. He doesn't blame them for leaving, not at all — they were fleeing a red dragon — but he's considering making a deal with Nana Morri for his youth.
Outside, Ashton and Fearne are figuring out their new powers. While in their transformed state, Ashton can glide through unworked/loose earth or stone freely, and it sounds like their speed is increased. They can use this to run up sheer cliff-faces, and by submerging themself only halfway in the stone they can carry people up with them like an elevator. Their pain is gone in this state, and when it returns, it feels welcome.
For Fearne, while in her transformed state she's immune to fire damage, a creature that hits her takes 1d8 fire damage, and her fire spells are more powerful now. She also floats about a foot off the ground, so her movement ignores difficult terrain, and when she touches the ground she leaves little black scorch marks. Even in her un-transformed state, she has a slight smoke drifting from her hair, and a little flame in her pupils.
Both Ashton and Fearne have abilities that they can unleash that will exhaust them significantly. It's unclear how long their transformed states last for and how many times they can use them per day.
Meanwhile, Chetney goes to Nana Morri to ask about a "wish."
Monsters, frost worms, opening bottles, wind, fire — whatever. I will always be impressed by the quality and variety of Matt's hinge creak sound effects.
Morri reveals that she doesn't grant wishes, she makes deals — there has to be collateral, and if people don't hold up their end of the deal, they become like the topiaries in the garden.
Chetney very, very carefully proposes a deal: he gets imbued with some of Morri's power, in exchange for the ability for her to exert more of her power over the mortal realm. (Chetney's shadow touched feat suddenly makes a lot of sense — a suspicious amount of sense, actually.) Morri changes the scenery to a dark, empty space with a single table.
"What is it that you want specifically? Tell me your dreams." "Well, I would love to never die, but that seems a little much. So — I was wondering... do people ask to return to their youth?" Both are things she's granted before, but she cuts to the root: Chetney came in here with a singular desire, greater than either of those requests. "I want to be the most famous toymaker the world has ever known." "Now that just requires a little bend of fate, doesn't it?" Morri pulls a golden thread from Chetney's chest, it stretches from dark to dark, and as she pulls on it a cold sensation courses through Chetney. "And what will you give me?" "What would you want?" "Bring me a piece of what you hunt. Bring me a piece of the God-Eater." "Let me do some simple arithmetic here — it's a deal." As it is stricken, she runs her hand over the lantern, alights her palm with white fire and clasps Chetney's hand with it — the cold touches his palm and that golden thread seems to twist and tangle a bit, then she withdraws. "Very well. Make me proud, and you'll be notorious."
(god this is going to backfire so badly — like, if Predathos is anything like the Lovecraftian horrors it's very clearly modeled after, a piece is all it needs. am I the only one thinking of a color out of space here?)
They start their long rest and have the campaign's first heroes' feast! FCG feeds the Bells Hells plus Allura, Pate, and Mister. Their HP max goes up by 13, they are immune to being poisoned and frightened, and they make all wisdom saves with advantage for the next 24 hours.
For the first time in many, many days, they set up their dream ritual. FCG brings everyone except Chetney and Fearne into Imogen's dream.
Imogen's intent with this dream is to enter the beam and travel to Ruidus, to see what happens when she does. She glides past clouds beneath the starry sky and eventually finds herself in a corkscrew, drifting — all five of them are already gliding along the Bloody Bridge, hurtling upward toward the Moon of Ill Omen. Sparks pulse through it and almost catches them up in it — they're shunted, dragged through, like a rollercoaster. Before long, they untether from the beam and start free-falling toward the dusty surface of Ruidus. There are mountain ranges, chasms, and slivers of silver carving through the landscape — before they arrive at the core of the Ruidian storms. In this lost space, there is no sense of up or down, just the storm, the wind — they're lost.
Imogen opens her mind, and for a brief moment she feels like she's tapping into a greater consciousness, minds like background radiation that flicker beyond reach; the storm clears like she's in the eye and she sees Exandria above. The ground itself is vibrating like there's a stampede, it's warm, the stones seem to shift. And she lets go.
The only thing that's kept her dangling above an abyss, Imogen allows it to snap. She tumbles into the ground and the black warmth envelops you; to the rest of them, the dark is rough, jagged, scary. They see and feel nothing except for dread, and an alien presence that washes over and through them — but Imogen feels comfort, sensations of running into Liliana's arms, Laudna's arms, memories of hugging her horses, a sense of belonging. They pass through rock, flashes of color — cavern networks that snake like a labyrinth beneath the crust of the moon. Glimpses of teal crystal and subterranean rivers, water, oceans — alien, red life that swim through it whose green eyes track them. But darkness, still. A distant voice calls — "wait, Imogen, no—" and it's gone.
Their descent stops. The rest of them drift into suffocating darkness, Imogen is gone — the shared dream spell ends.
Imogen senses a presence unlike anything she's ever experienced. It's so immense that her entire being vibrates with power, she worries as it suffuses her that she might be pulled apart — that white flash she saw, these moments where the world rent itself around her, that power pulls to rend her but she belongs here. She is home. This is the womb, and she wishes nothing more than to return to this place with her entire core — but she wakes, then. Moments later.
This is an excellent setup for this, especially because it's giving Laudna and Imogen conflicting information and motives. Laudna, FCG, Orym, and Ashton all know that this darkness is rough and lifeless and it will shred them, suffocate them — but Imogen is being supernaturally coerced into selfishness. This feels like a big red flashing sign that says "some powers are not worth embracing, sometimes giving in to power will change you irreparably and you will not like what you see in the mirror anymore" and yet they're still pushing her to embrace it against her better judgment.
I am once again begging someone to acknowledge that FCG does not, in fact, need to sleep and can keep constant watch with no detriment to themself
Their long rest passes without issue, but in the middle of the night, when he's sure no-one is watching, Orym knocks on Nana Morri's door.
"The way I understand it, from what Fearne tells me, you can help people. You make deals. Well, um... my friends are all pretty amazing, the things they can do, I can't even fit it all in my head, and I'm really good with a sword but I'm a little nervous I'm not ready for what we're about to do tomorrow. [None of you are ready.] The point is, I feel the least ready in our group, and I wanna see this through, I wanna get it done, and I wanna get them back. I wanna get Fearne back, and all of them. So... if you can somehow make me better at protecting them, or stronger, more capable at what I do, I might agree to a lot."
Morri's eyes look past Orym, beyond, and when Orym looks back he's in the same dark space, with the same white lantern on the same table. "Your passion is to protect your friends, yes?" "My friends, your granddaughter — I don't know if there's a friends and family discount, but...?" "And what do you have to offer, little Ashari?" "Well, if I see them all through and we get it done, I'll serve you." "You smell of the touch of divinity. That makes you enticing. Well, now that Fearne's all grown up and might be finding her own way, it does get a bit lonely here in the manor. Maybe it'd be nice to have a caretaker." "These have to be worded just right, Imogen said — that's if we see it through. Every one of Bells Hells makes it back and we see it through. That's an easy trade. Back alive, happy, safe, and healthy." "Well, you have to leave happy to return happy, and health is in varying states at least. Return at least as you are." "Return alive." "Very well."
Morri grants Orym the ability to call upon her when he's in need (and probably some other abilities, too) in exchange for his service to her, provided that every one of the Bells Hells returns from Ruidus alive.
They get a long rest, but Imogen falls asleep missing that sensation she experienced at the core of the moon.
I have 3 primary thoughts about Orym's deal. First is that there is a Laudna-sized hole in Orym's insistence that everyone returns alive — in fact, he specifies that against Morri's stipulation of "returns as they are," so it sounds like Orym was working in a loophole. Second, this has the potential to be a big act 3 setup centering around breaking or finding a loophole int hat deal. And third, FEY PALADIN ORYM !!!! (he doesn't have the stats to multiclass into warlock but ancients or devotion paladin?? yeah.)
In the morning, they have a meal, then head back to Exandria. It's hardly been an hour since they left. They arrive in the familiar Hellcatch Valley, where there is a strong reddish hue to the entirety of the landscape. Ruidus hangs above them, larger than they've ever seen, silent and consuming the air above them. They're miles away from the Tishtan excavation site, and as they walk towards the west encampment (where Allura's allies are), then can see numerous legions, signs of battle, skyship wreckage — there has been warfare here, skirmishes, sides testing boundaries but nothing all-in. There's an air of held breath.
As they enter, Allura is met by three authority figures: Myth-Taker Qi Mandozi, an older orcish man, of Ashanedoor; Guardian Tofur Bratoris, a silver Dragonborn woman in full plate armor, wearing the symbol of the Council of Tal'dorei; and Dawnmarshal Earthbreaker Groon, the most muscular grandpa they've ever seen, leader of Kord's temple in Vasselheim.
All of them carry a presence, but Groon has a force that carries a massive weight; he is an individual who walks with the strength of the gods. "Underestimation is a powerful thing."
Into the war-tent!
Ohohoho, Earthbreaker Groon has some kind of Ruidus-born radar — Fearne catches him staring at her and Imogen like a parent looks at a child who's done something wrong.
Also inside the war-tent are Percy and Keyleth! They explain that the reason the Bells Hells are so important in this endeavor is because they are not being watched, they are not being paid attention to — "because so few, for now, know of you."
The Ruby Vanguard is trying to divide the world. Doomsday cults are rising in response to recent events, and the Vanguard is taking advantage of them to raise support for their cause; in doing so, they are waging ideological war on the home-front in addition to waging a militaristic war around the Malleus Key.
Percy unveils one of their distraction attempts: "butcher wagons," cloaked with illusions to look like a massive assault but instead stocked with buckets of blood; the Vanguard's forces will be drawn away and the wagons will be detonated, creating the illusion of an actual battle to keep them occupied for up to 30 minutes. That's how long the Bells Hells will have to get to the key. Luckily for them, the Vanguard's most intelligent members are already on the moon.
The Bells Hells will enter from the opposite side and slip in unnoticed during the battle. Because of their sabotage of the key earlier, the dispelling field is not present, but there are a significant number of Reilorans on the ground who can sense their minds — the scrolls will help with that.
"If you are discovered, ensure there are no witnesses. Whatever that means to you — whether silencing them or taking them with you — this is war. This is about all of us. All of us." Groon speaks with the voice of Kord on that last line.
Allura advocates for redemption and rehabilitation of the members of the Vanguard, if possible, when Laudna questions what the threshold is. But again — this is war. Keyleth, without eye contact, pipes in. "Save who you can, but do what is right."
Their mission while on Ruidus is to learn what they can. Who the Reilora are and what they want, whether they have a leader who can be parlayed with, what Ludinus' intentions are and how long he needs to achieve them — anything they can get, until they feel it is too dangerous to continue.
Fearne approaches Groon and asks about the look he gave them. "These eyes do not look anywhere; I sensed you. You are Ruidus-born, both of you." The entire tent knows, now. Keyleth advocates for them in good faith, not knowing what Imogen just did the night before.
They had tried to work with Ruidus-born before, and at a certain point, they just forgot what they were doing and joined their new friends. "Well, that's not gonna happen with us." FCG, you fucking wish, buddy—
Allura advocates for them too, and Groon looks back at them. "I trust they are capable, for they know that if they turn, the storm will find them. But you are of the storm, are you not?" "I am the storm, baby." "It seems your friends have more faith in you than you have in yourself. Be prepared to rely on them, when the time comes."
"You are the tip of the spear, and we are everything to follow. We just need you to guide us." Keyleth turns to Percy. "Why does it always take a bunch of assholes to get anything done?" (Ashton, reading Percy like a book: "He likes us!")
And here we go with Laudna enabling Imogen in literally anything even when it means giving up everything. "What if it is your calling? I don't want to stand between you and what you really want—" I am going to s c r e a m
But Laudna goes and asks Keyleth about what was distracting her before: it's Vax, trapped in that orb. "We need to set him free." She also confirms that the bridge is the only connection Exandria has to Ruidus; the moon is completely shielded against divination, teleportation, and everything else. The bridge needs to stay, Vax needs to keep screaming, until their business is done.
Before they leave, FCG casts telepathic bond — y'know, that one spell that allowed the Ring of Brass to hear each others' last thoughts as the ground came up to meet them and that eventually enabled the escape of a flighted scion who carried their memories into the after-times?
Earthbreaker Groon puts a hand on Imogen's shoulder, and she sees a flash of Kord in a roiling storm, and she hears his voice, growling. "You have my eye. There is greatness in you. Do not let us down." "I won't."
something something about how Ruidus being tethered to Exandria may have opened it up to the influence of Exandria's pantheon and the one who would have the greatest influence over the surface and of Imogen's dreams would, of course, be the Storm Lord
But as the preparations end, the two fronts roll out.
Allura, Qi, and Percy accompany the wagons, while Keyleth brings the Bells Hells in close. She casts gaseous form on them all, and they begin their trek toward the Malleus Key.
From above, they can see the illusions overtake the butcher wagons: a charging wave of gargantuan armored beasts, thirty feet high and four arms each, like massive gorillas; rhinos, armored; an entire frontal assault, flanked by massive elementals with flaming rock-wings, the married imaginations of two high arcanists working in tandem.
Their bodies reform at the edge of the crater and Keyleth turns to them. "You have a few minutes to gather your thoughts; then, be on your way." The clouds above her grow thick and dark, flashes of lightning break, and the entire vicinity is as if a thunderous hurricane has touched down in the center of Marquet. Lightning strikes clear a path for them as they don Ruby Vanguard robes, but they can already see the entire perimeter guard doubling as the attention is drawn to the surface, then to the wagons.
Gaseous form lasts for 8 hours, so it could be of use to them down the road — not just now, though, because of how long it takes to transform into and out of the form.
They begin to approach, and horns sound from inside the site — the first group stealth roll of the encounter rounds to about 28-30, so I think they're in the clear for now as dozens of crawlers and Reiloran warriors collide with the illusion. Spells are being flung from inside the illusion, Percy's contraptions fire cannons and explode payloads, the illusion shapes and reacts — it's a magnificent display of arcane prowess as they crest the edge of the Tishtan site.

ok, here is ida. i draw her based on the old player model but in the new player model she looks a bit different. I use this chunky highlight hair because it somewhat hides the fact that her ears stick out now when wearing a hat/helmet (this pisses me off the most about the new characters). but she used to have this black hair, and of course dark eye makeup. it's a lot like what i do irl

you can kinda see how i dress her in those pics of her, usually a dark color scheme and yes I coordinate it with the horse. I actually dress her in a lot of sweaters and typically with proper breeches and tall boots and helmet as if it were a regular english outfit irl. I occasionally dress her and her horse in western gear, or use streetwear if she's off the horse

you may be surprised, but I like the moon circle just a smidgen more than the sun circle, though they are in close competition. I just love the aspects of both of them, visions & teleportation. I find it so interesting and quite applicable to real life, at least personally, because of how I experience life with PTSD. it is easy to convey my mind through comics about the powers of these circles.
20. What part of the Main Story is your favorite?
oh my, if you can count the storyline in SSL as a predecessor to SSO, i would say Anne's first trip to Pandoria to save Concorde. in SSO, it's surprising but seeing Anne without saving her must have been my favorite. I was disappointed with the actual saving Anne quest, but seeing Pandoria for the first time in SSO was an experience I won't forget, even though I prefer the atmosphere of Pandoria in SSL

You kno, I always (since I started playing LoZ 20+ years ago+additional ideas that came later) assumed Ganondorf is green bc of Koume and Kotake's influence. They're two powerful witches, and the occasional depiction of witches being green has probably also spread to Japan, so from that to show Ganon's ties to them, they were all three turned shades of green bc magic. It also sounded in-game like those two were a big reason for why Ganondorf went power mad and pushed war, even tho the other Gerudo didn't want him to go that extreme. Doesn't explain totk Ganondorf since there's literally no reason or backstory for him, but maybe it's like "tradition" by now. I also know there's a Chinese saying "putting on a green hat" which means the same as being green with envy, so I could imagine smth similar exists in Japanese, smth that could have worked with Oot's Ganondorf's envy of Hyrule's life giving lands. Since TP and WW, and HW Ganondorf are all the same guy, that kinda still works? I know it's really being viewed critical why he looks like he looks w the green skin, so thought I'd share a thing I basically came up with as a kid. (Except the green hat, only found out later, but the green with envy thought I did have back then.) Green hat works more for Link in the literal sense, so maybe Ganondorf has a figurative green hat. 😩
Hey! Yeah, I assumed the same for a very long time, and I'm pretty sure it's still the intent today.
I still think it's worth mentioning the trend has been really exacerbated with time; even back in OoT, his skin tone is not... that off the charts. Like yes, it does lean green, but after doing some color picking, it still stands reasonnably in the brown. It is a little sickly/olive, and there is a big gap between the concept arts and the model in-game already then (and in Smash, he's pretty much in the browns in his default model too), but it *could* be somebody's skin color. It's the same thing for WW Ganon btw, where his skin is definitively brown in the concept art and got much greener once modeled in the game. TP Ganon is the one where the difference between concept art and in-game skin is the least noticeable, but he also has the darkest shade by far so it doesn't read super green, even if it is quite there if you color pick. TotK Ganon is the color of a spinach smoothie in comparaison; even in the concept art itself, which might be even greener than the model in-game (a first!)
To be generous and fair to the whole thing, I think it used to be a case of what looked the most dramatic in-game, and a green hue does look less natural, colder, deader and scarier than a red-base one, especially in extremely intense lighting situations where Ganon often finds himself in, where it is easy to use that base color for contrast, especially with the red of his hair or the gold of his eyes and his little forehead jewel. This coupled with the influence of Twinrova and the association with envy probably pushed this direction even further every time.
But again, it is also hard to extract these choices from the history, in fantasy and sci-fi, of how to still dehumanize archetypes of PoCs without actually having them "being PoCs", or using excuses of inherent evilness to make their treatment by the narrative more acceptable. I am not mad at this choice inherently, but I am critical of it in the light of every other choice made in the year of our lady Hylia 2023 and the fact that I *so often* see this being used as protection against criticisms of both orientalism and a lack of care for what it implies about the worldbuilding of Hyrule. In OoT there was the connection to dark magic and the Twinrova; but in TotK, the Twinrova are easter eggs at best, not an active part of what shaped our antagonist and made him who he is. His evilness is made profusely clear the second he grabs the stone and becomes basically Satan with very cool hair, in a design that does lean super red and black anyway; one would think he'd rather try to hide his true nature before this?
(there is also history of PoC being turned green to avoid direct critique in fantasy/sci-fi worldbuilding, I think Star Trek is one of the big culprits but don't quote me on that)
Again, it's the package that is weird; and even more than the package, gradually changing PoC features over time in a way that, while not maybe being the only reason for the change, does allow the heroes to clearly identify the source of evil as Unlike Them while also distancing themselves from the more direct racist implications instead of... kind of allowing this to complicate the conflict, and accept that the conflict *is already complicated* no matter what is retconned or emphasized or changed. But the priority is simplicity and cleanness, and so Ganon and the gerudos do bear the blunt of these choices more often than not; the green skin being one of the more visible examples.

high priestess reversed - literally looks like a dream, someone most could only dream of breathing next to. their looks may not be very balanced, something may stand out or look different than most. they may look sick and/or tired often, like zayn during the era of this album! the high priestess is about following your gut/intuition, since it's reversed this could mean someone who looks like they have weight or drug issues, may be someone who looks under/overweight. also someone who shows off a lot of skin, he does have that type. shorter hair and darker colors (deep winter).
8 of swords - they look often worried and/or weak. they probably don't take care of their own image/appearance, having many stylists and designers working on them. they may often wear difficult clothing (tight, revealing, sheer, etc) and often have their hair tied or short (this card is reminding me of a ballerina style). the style we usually see them may not reflect who they really are. this almost looks like someone who is being punished, but this interpretation is making me think more of a concept, maybe a music video he'll make in the future.

OKAY OKAY I HAVE SO MANY THIRSTY THOTS…expanding on chubby!eddie and also noting that we’re close to the holidays, it’s important to note that while eddie’s favorite holiday is halloween, steve ADORES christmas. he loves to decorate their shared home, go present shopping, and of course make ridiculously indulgent food. it isn’t like he doesn’t do that the rest of the year, but christmas gives him an excuse to try out recipes multiple times. each time he tries something new, he needs his secret taste tester in the kitchen with him (hint: it’s eddie wearing nothing but low waisted pajama pants) to ensure the quality of each dish. thus far, even if he’s offered pointers for improvement, eddie has eaten four variations of pumpkin pie, two different prosciutto wrapped asparagus variants, six variants of peanut butter cookies, and more without complaint. cooking days are fun because at the end, eddie will worship steve in the bedroom, sucking him off before pressing his belly to steve’s back while he slides in and out of him. when the two go christmas shopping, it’s a magical experience to get to indulge not only the others in their lives, but also each other. each obviously gets gifts for the other separately, but while they’re together, they like choosing things out live and in the store. for eddie, steve plucks a set of model paints and figures for dnd and a bat shaped mug from halloween clearance. eddie chooses a new hair mask he knows steve’s been wanting to try and a new robin’s egg blue sweater in a larger size (although not as prominent as eddie, steve had packed on some subtle but noticeable squish, a symptom of his happiness with eddie). these gifts aren’t a surprise, but the couple (notably steve) love any excuse to show their appreciation as possible. they celebrate with everyone on christmas eve. the hopper byers residence fits the whole crew of teens and adults nicely, but admittedly has to add another table when steve comes in with two entrees, four sides, and three desserts PLUS rolls. everything except for the ham and turkey get finished off, everyone there agrees that steve’s food was the best. the teens and eddie have boisterous arguments about dnd while steve and robin catch up with joyce and claudia. the night always ends with watching it’s a wonderful life because it’s surprisingly one of el’s favorites, but steve and eddie usually slip away a bit early to “prepare for the holiday”. in actuality, they head home and have lazy sex before going to sleep. on the actual holiday, the two sleep in until noon and open gifts quietly. they enjoy an episode or two of a show they enjoy, all the while enjoying rich and decadent desserts. at the end of the night, eddie usually ends up tied up using holiday ribbon, the bright red tulle digging into his fat hips. steve fucks him through overstimulation until the two are sobbing and covered in sweat and cum. the boys just like the holidays. lmao sorry for being awol, my semester has been Traumatic and there have been some pretty serious issues happening but i hope you like it slay -🦂

So that teaser trailer...
Wanted to get together some observations and thoughts, would love to hear what ya’ll are thinking about it too.
-Font choice: questionable
-I’m wondering if the “My name is Nathan Leopold” “Richard Loeb, nice to meet you” talking to the camera bits and the hand clasp are going to be in the movie itself or if they were just filmed for the trailer? If they are going to be included....where would those extreme close up intros even fit? They’re like POV in a hallucination.
-They finally got the title of Leopold’s book correct: it’s 99 not Ninety-Nine.
-When Leopold is typing on the typewriter you can see and hear the original actor hired to be Leopold. The continuity is also all over the place on what he’s typing. First shot: kidnapped Second shot: kill your Third shot: kidnapped Fourth shot: kill your boy These appear to be the only words on the page, as if Leopold is starting his typing there. “Kill your boy” was in none of the ransom notes used, and kidnapped was never the first word on a page.
-The Bobby kidnap scene is all over the place too. The car pulls up and obviously it’s not the same color, make or model as the real car, but for a no budget movie, you take what you can get. But in the background as the car pulls up you can see modern awnings for a florist and a Thai restaurant in the background, along with modern signage, handicapped parking spaces, telephone wires, etc. It might have been easier for them if they filmed it on a residential street-where Bobby was actually picked up-instead of on a street with a bunch of businesses.
-The clothes for all three are inaccurate to what they were wearing on the kidnap day, and everyone is rocking bow ties. Bobby also starts screaming at the top of his lungs in their open windowed car in the middle of a street, Loeb makes no attempt to cover his mouth, not sure how they don’t get caught there.
-We see Judge Caverly, Darrow and Crowe on the stairs, the only actor they tried to get close to looking like the actual person was Darrow, the other two are very far off, Crowe is bald and his suit really doesn’t fit. Nice stairwell they’re filming on though.
-Some time period inaccurate makeup as we get a close up on a flapper and then both the original Leopold and Loeb appear dancing with the film’s choreographer. 
-Then some bizarre shots of what looks like a modern fancy dance with teenagers where no actors from the production can be seen. Not sure if this is stock footage or something the production had from some other project?
-Shot of the original Loeb choking the original Leopold in extreme blue lighting.
-Then we get to the see the courtroom crowd. There’s very few of them, they can’t even fill half the courtroom. There’s also no care for period accuracy here: the clothing is off, there’s short sleeves, several extras have a lot of facial hair including thick beards and there are children sitting in. There’s also a female police officer standing guard.
-Loeb throws a peace sign to the crowd, then turns around and looks directly into the camera. His suit is also noticeably too small for him.
-There seems to be a jury? EDIT: Have confirmed from an actor that yup, there’s a jury! A huge change from the actual case!
-The last scene:
Reporter: Alright boys, let’s get some pictures. Reporter: Woah woah woah woah woah. What does it feel like to be celebrities? Are you guys nervous? Loeb: Do I look nervous? (laughs)
This could actually have been taken from actual newspaper coverage, not the celebrities bit, but there were several times where newspapers printed similar responses from Leopold and Loeb about being nervous.
So, if I’m honest, I think it looks like a bit of a mess. This production is also nowhere near done. They’ve only shot one week with the original Leopold-Loeb actors and one week with the current Leopold-Loeb actors. I assume that first week will have to be scrapped and reshot, unless they’re actually planning to just include both sets of actors and hope the audience doesn’t notice?
