Echoing a previous anon it's frustrating how segregated trans spaces are. I feel like every transfemme I know 90% only knows other transfemmes, every transmasc I know 90% only knows other transmascs. I don't know as much as I should about the boys because they just don't seem to exist in my world at all. I've legit met more than 10 transfemmes in a row one weekend of partying out in public and not a single transmasc during that time. It's sad. Where are the boys?

I, myself, am intersex. I do not *care* if Sally sees her womanhood through a trans lens while being perisex AFAB. I am an avid believer that enforcing the notion that such labels are 'exclusive' to intersex people is harmful. 'Oh but shi/hir has been used against us!!!' That is not the fault of Billy, who just vibes with the pronoun set.

The sooner we as a community can realize that these 'progressive' boxes aren't much better than the ones made by our oppressors, the better.

Some afab transfems are afraid to assert themselves as trans women/girls, as they feel they are appropriating a very specific category to which they don't and can never belong. The transfem identity, unlike the trans woman identity, is seen more as a broader gender category encompassing various types of queer femininities and which could, under certain circumstances include some afabs. Calling oneself a transfem is therefore less felt as an usurpation. It also offers the possibility to assert a certain proximity to trans womanhood/girlhood while not claiming to be part of it.

Set yourself free. Affirm to yourself that you are in fact a trans woman/girl, and not (just) a transfem.

Transrainian:

1.) Identifying with your AGAB, which is AMAB, while viewing yourself as transitioning towards a masculine identity, having a primarily masculine identity, or presenting masculinely.

2.) Not identifying with your AGAB, and viewing your gender as being masculine, while being trans.

3.) Being fluid between or both of these definitions.

Transfieldian:

1.) Identifying with your AGAB, which is AFAB, while viewing yourself as transitioning towards a feminine identity, having a primarily feminine identity, or presenting femininely.

2.) Not identifying with your AGAB, and viewing your gender as being feminine, while being trans.

3.) Being fluid between or both of these definitions.

These terms were posted sometime vaguely before or on November 27th, 2020. That's the date I found these terms reblogged on, so unfortunately I currently cannot find the original posting date due to the one wiki these being on is down.

Anyways felt like re-posting these finally, as I remembered some folks actually liked the terms. While searching for these I actually found my Transneutral combos with these terms, so I'll be posting those as well.

These terms were created back when the vast majority of people viewed Transfem as AMAB-only and Transmasc as AFAB-only, and I jumped on the "AGAB means nothing in transitioning" (for the lack of better words) bandwagon at the time. These terms are pretty similar in function as Admasculine and Adfeminine. That being said these terms aren't exclusive to anyone.

[ID] Two flags with 7 stripes, the fourth or middle stripe is thinner than the rest. The colors from top to bottom on the Transrainian flag are: midnight blue, dark royal blue, muted blue, pastel robin egg blue, muted blue, dark royal blue, midnight blue. The colors from top to bottom on the Transfieldian flag are: aubergine magenta, wine red, royal heath pink, pastel violet, royal heath pink, wine red, aubergine magenta. [/End ID]

AFAB MTF Pride Flag

AFAB: assigned female at birth.

MTF: transitioning from male to female.

This flag represents those who are FTMTF (detrans), SAFAB (self-assigned) female transitioners (AGABpunk), plural systems, circumgender, or intersex/altersex (varsex) people with complex experiences with gender/sex, for example, plus many more experiences I couldn't describe in simple terms. So what is a trans woman? A trans woman is a member of the class of trans women, which is the class oppressed by non trans women, or in other terms, by transmisogyny exempt people.

This is a non-essentialist theory that removes any natural basis for the oppression of trans women and includes all trans women, regardless of whether they were assigned male or female at birth.

I was so dramatic about coming out as a trans man to my cishet boyfriend, but when we actually talked about it he was like "yeah gender is weird, when I was a kid before puberty I always thought of myself as a woman, and when I was in college one time a group of girls mistook me for another girl and that actually made me feel good, but when I got a beard and went bald I started to assume I'm a man and I guess I'm okay with that" like what the hell... don't wanna force the transness on anyone but that sounds like a not very cis thing to say
