Aego aroace culture is seeing ship art of characters that you really enjoy the dynamic of in canon and just thinking it’s the most adorable thing ever, that the art is so so so cute and wholesome and it genuinely makes you feel happy to see… and then not 30 minutes later watching them interact in the actual show or whatever again and just being ‘they’re still only besties in canon though’, and not being able to see the actual characters ever getting together and then just being confused af because apparently all your little ship ideas only exist in some very alternate universe until and unless they are confirmed canon

this label of asexuality has helped me A LOT in discovering myself and learning more about lgbtqia+ culture as a whole
there are days where I do sometimes question myself, thinking that I’m not “queer enough” to part of the community. But then I look around at my fellow aces/aegos and remember that I’m not alone in my feelings, even if theirs vary from my own experience
