Hi all, I am a 30+ F and am looking for some new 25+ long-term OC partners to play the male OC for a few romance concepts I have either written starters for or pondered on (I am open to listening to other ideas as well). All the characters in the stories will be 18+. I love stories with Adventure, Fantasy, Drama, Action, Angst, obviously Romance and am fine with NSFW and others themes we think may work for our story.
My concepts are below. If you are interested, feel free to message me and tell me a bit about yourself. I’m all ears to hear about characters you would like to use and we can see if our visions and characters align. (Please no real face claims. I’m not a fan of using photos of real people or well-known characters.)
Concept 1: In the Kingdom of Zerith, if you aren’t a human, you are an outcast, used as a military force, and dwell in the outskirts of the kingdom. The only way out of this life is if you can prove to be of value to the royal family. If you are deemed worthy due to your combat and or magical capabilities you will be appointed as a guardian to an official or member of the royal family. (This is judged through a trial and very few succeed.) Female guardians are rarely chosen due to the fear that they may seduce those in power. My OC Seii wants to change the way the world works and wants to free all the Noirine (half humans) and get rid of the oppressive system. After her parents pass away from illness she trains for years and attempts the trial and passes. She is appointed/selected as a guardian to one of the princes (your OC).
Concept 2: The princess has pushed off getting married both because of her duties but mainly because she is secretly in love with her guard/protector. Tired of the delays, her father has announced an arranged a marriage between her and a rumored to be very stubborn and unlikable prince from a neighboring country. Her guardian has been just that since childhood yet secretly she has loved and cared about him since they met. She however believes he only sees her as a duty (this can be true or not). There are only a few months to find a way to get out of the marriage, or disappear. (Your OC can be the protector, or this could have a fun twist and the prince becomes her lover.)
Concept 3: My OC is a Ninja/Assassin trained since she was 8 to defeat the warlords who make up the enemy forces (whoever we decide).
During a mission while undercover she learns her village has been destroyed by the clan that she works for. Following the men who destroyed her village, she finds they also killed her family along with those who did not escape. Pushing her feelings aside, she believes the only way to get her revenge is by pretending to know nothing and remain loyal to them. One day she is on a mission and returns but finds there has been a surprise attack on the clan by the enemy forces and a particular warlord is said to be the one leading the battle (your OC). As she observes and remains hidden, she witnesses him kill one of the men who destroyed her village. Noticing that he does not see a hidden assassin aiming for him she kills the assassin without the warlord noticing until after the fact but he does not know who took out the assassin.
Her goal is revenge and she only has herself as a weapon. After careful consideration she concludes that he and the enemy forces are her best chance at revenge so she secretly begins to steal info. She finds numerous ways to anonymously gets the info to the warlord OC. He obviously will investigate who is providing the info and will likely figure it out. My OC is eventually caught stealing info by her clan and imprisoned and suffers various injuries.
The last bit of info she provides him with leads him to where she is held (coincidence).
He ends up saving her as she will benefit him due to how much she knows about the clan.
Concept 4 (trigger warning): I’d like to do a mafia RP of some kind with my OC having been kidnapped and held hostage by a mafia leader. I’m open to concepts on this one, but my initial idea is to have my OC be a hostage and initially very shut down and afraid. During a meeting gone bad between the leader who has her and another leader (your OC) one of your men decides to take advantage of the situation and takes her away during the escape. At some point your OC finds out about this and discovers where he was keeping her. (He is not a fan of taking/harming women and children) My OC is in poor health and he decides to help her and plans to return her to her everyday life, but feelings start to develop between them.

Looking For A RP Partner!!
Hello! My name is Krem and as you can see I am looking for a long-term roleplay partner! I am 17 years old and would prefer that my partner is 15-18! I do not mind time differences!!
I often mimic my partners reply length but usually I aim for at least 2 full sentences and can sometimes go up to multiple paragraphs(Sometimes...) I don't have a preference for my partners style as long as it is easy to read and is at least 1 full sentence!
The genres I usually go for are Romance, Horror, Adventure, and Fantasy! I am open to all tropes and prefer BxB but can absolutely do GxG and GxB!
I have many OC's and I am also open to making OC's for a rp! I also do fandom roleplays, some of the fandoms I am in are JJBA, IDV, CreepyPasta, HxH, Yugioh, and DanganRonpa(Specifically V3)! I am open to any ships but will not do OCxCanon!! (I also do AUs)
Some of the things I am looking for in a partner:
Good communication. Coming up with events and such during the roleplay, will set boundaries, etc.
Written OCs. At least a proper description of appearance and personality, if there is no backstory I don't mind. (Pictures instead of a physical description works too!)
Open to ships, Ocs and ideas. I will hear you out, I would like for you to do the same.
I am very laid back when it comes to roleplaying and enjoy coming up with ideas with others, I enjoy going to extremes but will respect boundaries and preferences! I prefer roleplaying on discord so if you have it add me! (Same username as here)
That's it!! :)

22G looking for a writer 18+ to do a fandomless RP.
You’d be playing an Indiana Jones kind of character, a tough-yet-decent guy in his 30s who has been hired to find Alexander the Great's tomb. (His info is here & you can add more to him.) He hires my character, a woman, as his translator/myth specialist. While fighting off greedy treasure hunters and (possibly) supernatural creatures, the pair fall in love. NSFW for eventual smexy times and violence.
Please only like if you're interested in RPing as the artifact hunter. It's an honor system thing, but please don't claim my plot or the male character as your own.

As you know, I am looking for more than just an interaction.
I have an idea of a RP which includes adventure romance and intimacy of course
It's a story about a thief named Yaarkaan and your character is Emily an architecture who loved to discover artifacts and protect it from the Great mikados an organization who is searching for a artichoke a fiction element which help to create matters for weapons as they hired me for that to find some ways so I just peaked you by pretending a different identity to get what I want. And then where stories go

Ok, just thinking out loud, but maybe we should let the Great Old Ones out.
I'm just saying. Lovecraft wasn't exactly an unbiased source. Maybe they're perfectly nice. Maybe they just want to stop people saying slurs. Maybe they're just Welsh.
I'm not saying I want the world to end, but I think that it would be a decent compromise to maybe unseal one or two of the smaller ones, just to see what happens. I bet we could put them back if there's a problem. And maybe they'll give us candy!
If it's just one of them, and maybe just for the weekend, it'll be fine. Come on, guys. What's life without a little risk?
Ritual! Ritual! Ritual!

First post
I haven’t been on this platform for a long time, but this is my first time attempting to roleplay here.
I’m 26, male, and bisexual. I’ve been roleplaying for about 10 years now. I’m not much of a teacher so please don’t ask.
I prefer roleplays that include action and adventure. I’ve never been a big fan of slice of life roleplays. I have a link to a few characters I’m working on, and they’ll be updated periodically.

Finally following my dream of having a fantasy ASMR YouTube series structured around a few game scripts I wrote and did nothing with. I’m just hyped about it and wanted to share. I’m looking to make it more interactive, sorta like a CYAO for the audience...

Hey why DO all those old tabletop RPGS and adventure games have such weird obtuse "act in this one scene or softlock forever" moments? Like, these weren't designed like arcade games that munch quarters... Why was this sort of thing so commonplace?
(With reference to this post here.)
Funnily enough, for tabletop RPGs there's actually a good answer.
If you're familiar with the popular history of tabletop roleplaying games, you've probably heard the idea that they developed out of fantasy wargaming. That's not actually terribly accurate; tabletop RPGs and fantasy wargames are more like two parallel branches that split off from the recreating-historical-battles kind of wargaming at about the same time, and for the first couple of decades there wasn't a bright line drawn between them like there is today. Many are genuinely hard to classify by contemporary standards – there are a lot of early fantasy wargames that look more like modern tabletop RPGs, and vice versa.
One of the consequences of that lack of sharp distinctions between tabletop RPGs and fantasy wargames is that early tabletop RPGs were often played in a sort of "competitive co-op" format at wargaming tournaments. Multiple groups would run their parties through the same adventure in parallel, and be ranked on their performance; sometimes this would involve scoring points for completing specific objectives, or speedrunning the adventure and aiming for the fastest time, but the most popular tournament format was the survival module: adventures which were deliberately designed to be unreasonably difficult, with whichever group's last surviving character's corpse hit the ground furthest from the dungeon entrance being judged the winner.
The upshot of that popularity is that many published adventures early on – and certainly the greater part of the more infamous ones! – were originally written as survival modules, created to be run competitively at a particular tournament, and later repackaged and sold as commercial products. Of course, practically none of them actually explained that; like nearly all tabletop RPG material of their day, they were written under the assumption that all tabletop roleplayers had come up through organised play at university gaming clubs, and thus already had all the context I've just outlined. This ended up causing no end of confusion when the hobby's mainstream visibility exploded in the early 1980s, and suddenly there were folks who'd picked up the rulebooks at their local bookstores trying to teach themselves how to play from first principles with no prior contact with gaming club culture.
As for why adventure games were also like that... well, this is going to sound bizarre by contemporary standards, and I don't blame you if you don't believe me, but once upon a time, point-and-click adventure games were considered the gold standard for Serious Gaming. Unforgiving routing, bizarre moon-logic puzzles, and a bewildering variety of unique ways to get yourself killed off were held up as the mark of the serious gamer in much the same way that janky soulslike combat systems are today, and a large chunk of the genre was made to cater to that ethos. Gamer culture is a hell of a drug!
(If you're about to ask the obvious follow-up question, "what changed?", the point-and-click adventure game's fall from grace and subsequent dismissal as casual fluff tracks more or less directly with a large demographic shift in the late 1990s that saw the genre's player base skewing predominantly female – and, well, you can probably connect the dots from there.)

Hey everyone! I’m Supes, pleasure to meet you! I’m 20, and would prefer to write with people my age or older.
I’m looking for someone that wants to share in an adventure. My idea is that I put forth several characters and you put forth several — two or three — and we send these nerds on a quest.
Think DnD, but over messaging. We get them together, we send them off, they have their ups and downs, maybe some of them even fall in love!
I will go ahead and say I am only comfortable with playing m x f relationships — I have a myriad of characters that I would love to put forth for use.
I also use tupperbox.
This won’t contain any nsfw, but romance is perfectly fine.
I try to reply quickly — if I can’t, I’ll let you know! Please feel free to message me about this!

[RP stuff] Vaati sketchdump
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
I had some spare time so I sketched parts of an RP (Minish Cap x Four Swords x Twilight Princess x Breath of the Wild) that I've been doing with my friends since 2014 (Even did another one in 2010-2013). Vaati is my #1 crush since I was 11, no one will be able to turn me away from him. Ever.
Maybe I'll draw some more if I still have free time! I'd love to draw his team and more RP situations :> (because playing bad guys who have to lose is a really fun experience).

Way back, before I started doing this, I bought like four feet of Palladium books in an eBay lot for next to nothing. It was ridiculous and possibly the very worst way to try to interface with Rifts. A single Rifts book is overwhelming on its own. Two dozen is just static blasting at top volume. I picked about half a foot of books with the best art and sold the rest on eBay. Adventures on the High Seas (1996) was among the ones I sold. But last year, I saw a copy on eBay for five bucks and I bought it again. I had zero memory of the contents of the book, I did this based entirely on the Martin McKenna cover alone. It’s a mighty fine cover.
Looking at this one again, it’s actually good. I don’t think I had any other books from the 2E Palladium Fantasy line aside of the core rules, but if they are all like this one, then it is a pretty strong line, and much improved over the older stuff. It’s well organized and the details on the many islands all make me want to dip in and read a bit whenever I flip through. The majority of the book is islands and ports, with particular detail paid to the isle of the cyclopses, which is cool, because I like cyclopi. There is a big section on ships, too, but that seems secondary. There are a bunch of new classes too, none but Pirate and Sailor seeming particularly themed to oceangoing adventures, but whatever. More is More in Palladia.
Art’s pretty great throughout. Scott Johnson does the lion’s share. There are interiors by Martin McKenna, Wayne Breaux and Peter Simon as well, but no clear credits (Johnson’s got a super obvious signature, though).
