Well, you're half right.

Most of the time, he's very nice to you.

A bit too nice...

However, whenever someone tries to make you "uncomfortable", that's a messed up time for that person.

If it's a female, then he wouldn't be too threatening to them because Reigen told him that if you hit women, they'll be a huge loser. (This is canon, btw)

If it's a male, oh well, pray for that guy okay?

Other than that, he can be pretty aggressive to other people who even breathed near you.

Hello everyone!

Happy Valentine’s Day! 🥰♥️

This is my first post on here! (if you saw the unfinished version of this that I posted on accident no you didn’t)

This is a drawing (and a video below the cut!) I did inspired by my reader-interactive Mob Psycho 100 fanfic I’ve been writing called “The Haunted Hearts Of Seasoning City” (link will be posted below!)

It is a mix of psychological horror and romance in which you, the reader, befriend Reigen and Serizawa after walking in on one of their exorcisms. As the story progresses, the two men begin to act more and more strange around you until you become painfully aware of what is going on.

***Please make sure to read the warnings for the fic as there are many elements are explicit as well as potentially triggering for the audience.***

The gray sky hovered over Tokyo, people came and went. Amidst all the commotion, a small light peeked out.

The ebony black of a mushroom cut hair swelled and receded, it could stand out a lot if you looked at it. The wind blew through his black hair. If you paid attention, no one around such a person seemed to notice.

Such a presence was a boy, more like a 13-year-old teenager. His gaze was dull and confused, just two black orbs staring into the emptiness of the ground.

Mob's head was a mess, then he started to remember what had happened when he had just woken up in the middle of the street.

• ••´º´•» - «•´º´•• •

People passed by without caring whether or not there was a boy passed out in the middle of the street. The boy's closed eyes opened, with a confused and somewhat frightened look.

Rubbing his head, his black orbs parted and he looked around. The traucers passed him by without bothering to look at him. Mob stood up, still confused and trying to call for help, so he approached a person walking by.

"Excuse me sir could you-" His voice was cut off as the hand that was supposed to touch said traucent's shoulder, only pierced human flesh and bones.

His normally expressionless eyes, grew wide.

'W-what's going on?' Was what he thought at that moment.

Paranoia began to creep up all over his heart, he could hear his heartbeat almost as loud as the breath coming out and going into his mouth.

The young psychic turned away from the man and took a few steps back, his expression was one of terror and confusion. Was this really happening? Mob could not believe it, but his suspicions were confirmed when he passed through another passerby and this time, his body literally passed over the other person's body.

At that precise moment, thoughts filled the young teenager's head and without processing what was happening to him, he ran somewhere. He doesn't care where he ended up, he just wanted to get away from it all, accept and understand his new reality.

• ••´º´•» - «•´º´•• •

His body felt exhausted, though really, could he even feel those human sensations? He was literally just a floating spirit with no physical power whatsoever.

So he sat down in a park, near an overgrown tree. After thinking about it for a while, the ex-psychic began to ask himself questions.

Who was he?

How did he end up in the middle of a busy street?

Why couldn't he remember anything about himself and only his name?

Did something happen in his past?

What were the circumstances of his death?

Questions kept popping up in his mind. No answers, only more questions.

So, he rested his head resting his head on the tree behind him.

As he laid down, darkness engulfed his vision and soon he fell asleep.

Shigeo felt a touch, opening his eyes he glared at a small figure. Eyes (E/C) staring at him.

"How nice, and I thought you were passed out. What are you doing here? Oh! I'm sorry I forgot to introduce myself, I'm (Y/N) a pleasure... Emmm"

Shigeo was surprised, could she see him? Although he didn't want to admit it, it gave him a glimmer of hope. Maybe he wasn't as lonely as he thought he was.

"Shigeo kageyama" It was all he could utter, his words had gotten stuck in the middle of the nervous and emotional breakdown he was having.

The girl smiled, now that the red-haired man was awake, he noticed several characteristics of the young girl. Silky (H/C) hair that swayed against the wind, soft skin and beautiful eyes.

The ex-psychic was amazed, and for some strange reason couldn't help but want to continue conversing with her.

"Nice to meet you, but tell me are you alone too? I saw you from afar and wanted to approach, sorry if I made you uncomfortable."

A slight blush colored her cheeks. Shigeo shook his head.

"No, it's okay, why were you alone?"

(Y/N) rubbed the back of his neck sheepishly, "Ah, well I got lost. That happens all the time because sometimes I can't concentrate on my surroundings" The boy couldn't help but notice a look of doubt on the girl's face, why did she look sad?

'Someone like her shouldn't even be wearing that expression' he thought and again, he blushed.

Their talk was interrupted by the shouts of a woman, it was (Y/N)'s mother.

"Oh! I forgot, I should be going.... Can I see you here again? Sure, if your parents will let you."

That innocent question cost him a heaviness in shigeo. his parents? She doesn't even know who he was or how the hell he got there.

Looking at his blank and somewhat dejected face, (Y/N) he hurried to apologize.

"Forgive me if I said something that hurt you, I know we just met, but I really want to get to know you. I don't know, we're both lonely" She said whispering that last part to herself.

It was the first thing that came to Shigeo's mind. Someone like her who wanted to become his friend, someone who he felt connected to, someone he would do anything for.

And maybe, just maybe, he was starting to see her as more than just a stranger.

"Think about it, see you tomorrow shigeo" His thoughts were interrupted with the departure of (Y/N).

The pent up emotions inside her surfaced for a few moments. Fate had brought them together and shigeo found a new opportunity, a new purpose.

"Goodbye to you too, (Y/N)" He whispered softly looking at her new acquaintance walking away..

Days passed, (Y/N) came and went. Soon both children became best friends, shigeo was happy and comfortable enough to have contact with the girl. At first this surprised the Ex-psychic very much, definitely his friend was special, so was he. So they both told each other their secrets and truths.

One particular day shigeo had told her about his situation, she (H/C) was surprised.

"Don't worry, shige, you can live with me."

That was the first beginning of that unbreakable bond. Over the months there were many things that (Y/N) noticed about his dear friend. Mob could not be seen by anyone but her, that's why she was always called crazy at school.

She didn't care about that, she preferred to be seen like that than to lose the only person she cared about. Also the black-haired guy had powers, she loved that and they often used to play at flying, sometimes it got out of control.

Like the times she ended up getting hurt because of mob's carelessness in using his gifts.

This worried the boy, but the (H/C) told him it was nothing. In definition, their friendship is a unique thing and it would last through the years, even if it turned sour.

In some ways, she didn't feel any fear of losing Mob, it was just the opposite; She felt fear of losing Mob.

But then one fateful day, everything changed.

Yep, I'm back and I hope I can make this story better. Sorry for disappearing, I had to move to another house hahaha .... Well this is it, maybe I'll write again I don't know.

Dark Mob this, Dark Mobrei that, you know who could get really obsessed with Reigen? Teruki. Mob has a healthy, functioning family unit and friend groups that fulfill his emotional needs. His emotional support network is sturdy and specifically allows him to grow beyond what Reigen can teach. Meanwhile, Teruki can just absolutely bury Reigen under the massive weight of his abandonment issues, mommy and daddy issues, self-worth issues, etc.

The darkness need not be confined to the Kageyama brothers! Everyone in the series is kinda sorta massively screwed up in some way. Spread the poison! Specifically make it bite Reigen in the ass, we know we all love to bully our pathetic little meow meow.

i have an important question.

i (27NB) am firmly of opinion that ???% is not yandere and just having a normal one (albeit maybe with a bit much property damage). my beloved wife (24NB) argues he's closer to being yandere than not on account of leveling a city to go confess to his crush. we are on the brink of divorce over this, so i must now turn to you to help us settle this through manner of poll, instead of seeking couple's counseling.

Reigen Arataka (Platonic & Romantic Headcanons)

WARNING: yandere, psychological manipulation, toxic mindset.

PLATONIC:

Reigen seeks to impress and dazzle his friend through the use of clever words and shows of skill. His execution of this dream leaves much to be desired, for it often boils down to Reigen regurgitating something he read on the internet and boasting about past exorcisms where Mob did all the work.

He can be rather pedantic as he details a false history of exorcisms and introduces himself as the leading superstar in his field. Reigen lies about his qualifications for assisting his friend with any of their problems, telling half-truths about a time when he faced a similar issue and acting like he has everything under control when everything is going wrong.

Reigen tries to convince his friend to quit their job and come work for him in the paranormal trade. The pay is low, and there are few, if any, benefits. However, Reigen claims that the pleasure of his company and the joy of helping others will be more than satisfactory.

If his friend voices doubt about his abilities, Reigen assures them that he operates on such a high level that he only seems powerless to confuse evil spirits. Mob corroborates his story, but Reigen panics and asks Mob to let him borrow some psychic powers if his friend turns out to be an esper.

He fakes an injury to pull his friend away from another person and get them to focus on him. When the other person goes to speak again, they are blamed for the supposed injury and stuck with the medical bills. Reigen whips out his telephone and pretends to be a celebrity in distress to urge the person to leave quietly.

Once they go in despair or shame, Reigen seizes the moment and begins an unprompted discussion of his achievements, many of which are stolen from popular media and other people. He is miraculously healed as soon as the area is devoid of everyone but himself and his friend, and he recommends heading back to his office and sharing a cup of tea for the rest of the day.

Mob watches as Reigen chases after his friend with claims that they need to be in constant contact with him to stay safe from evil spirits and wonders if this is how friendship is meant to look. Reigen does little to help this misconception, as he instructs Mob to be on the lookout for any bad energy around his friend.

ROMANTIC:

Reigen never wastes an opportunity to grandstand in front of clients, and he is forever after the business of his partner. Their private life, their dietary preferences, their stance on social matters—Reigen acts as if he knows all about it from the start when, in reality, he infers bits and pieces of it from each interaction.

When Reigen notices that his partner is spending lots of time with someone else, he is not about to start a fistfight like a banchō or deal out threats like poker cards. Reigen is generally a violence-averse soul, so he opts for interrupting the next conversation and pretending to be an expert on whatever the topic is.

He spouts factoids and trivia that he cobbled together, all in the name of throwing shade at the other person. Reigen denies any knowledge of this goal and claims that he is merely a purveyor of information.

While Dimple is calling his bluff and accusing him of being desperate, Reigen struggles to keep a straight face and resumes talking until the other person is driven away. Should his partner be able to hear Dimple, Reigen dismisses his comments as jokes and swats at Dimple to shut up.

If his partner ever comes to him with paranormal troubles, Reigen drops everything and throws several discounts and special offers at them to ensure that they leave his office with a good opinion of him. He has Mob on speed dial in case an evil spirit decides to show its face, but in the meantime, Reigen proposes a massage.

Reigen will likely lie and say that the alleged spirit is either too powerful for one treatment to exorcise it or too elusive to reveal itself in full yet. Either way, his partner is encouraged to return to the Spirits and Such Consultation Office for follow-up visits.

He thinks he is the epitome of smooth when he suggests that eating ramen together at a restaurant is a smart way to draw the spirit into the open. This evolves into Reigen declaring that he must explore his partner's home in search of cursed items, and if his request is rejected, he makes the counteroffer to escort them throughout their day as a spiritual bodyguard.
