박성훈 – alluring me
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
word count: 2k
It seemed to be a loud night in the usual quiet town. The rain drops were slipping down your window, worsening the view outside. You were not much of a rain person, rather you enjoyed sunny mornings so you can be that "girl" they call. Either way, it wasn't morning in first place, so why would you care?
Oh, maybe because you were supposed to leave your apartment room in the following 20 minutes, your friend almost pulling up to pick you up. Nightclub she said. Now, whether you were going to enjoy it or not, you'll have to see, but one thing is sure: you weren't going to let yourself get drunk and end up in a stranger's bed by next morning.
At least not this way.
You were good to go. Makeup on point, clothes suiting your perfectly, golden jewellery around your neck cause you were expensive. The only thing that was missing was some cash and a hot boyfriend to bring with you. But you can't have everything in the world. At worst, you could ask Lia to lend you some money until next paycheck, so you could enjoy a cheap mocktail.
Making sure to lock the front door, you walked to the parking spot, waiting for your friend to arrive as well. Fortunately, it didn't take her too long, as the dark blue Audi made its way in, stopping in front of you. "Hi babe!" Lia shouted, as the car window went down, revealing a tipsy blondie.
"Are you drunk driving again?" you chuckled and walked around the car, getting the door open and stepping in. "Me? Drunk? Y/N! What are you talking about?" said she, while not being able to hide a hiccup. The two of you just laughed, while Lia drove out of the parking spot, speeding up on the lonely road. There was barely anyone, and most probably, there won't be any interesting person at the club either. It wasn't the biggest town, for sure, so there was no reason in trying to aim highly.
Luckily, the club wasn't so far, which made everything just perfect. Less likely to be engaged in an accident, given Lia's condition. The blondie parked, horribly though, in front of the ordinary looking nightclub, and threw her keys somewhere in the back. "Just in case I feel like car sex later, it's better to leave the car unlocked"
"You are crazy" you said, jokingly pushing her shoudler. Lia chuckled, leaving the car and inhaling the fresh air outside, and you did the same. Not long until your nose will only inhale cigarette smoke, so you may as well take advantage of the situation. The two of you stepped in, looking around for someone familiar. Yet it seemed like there was no one you would know.
You made it to the bar, barely being able to hear each other. The music was deafening, much louder than you've expected. Lia seemed to enjoy, though. Judging by her facial expression, she was going to leave you immediately for that hottie she noticed walking around. Typical. Shouldn't you do the same though?
"Hey, Lia, do you think you can give me some cash until Wednesday? Just so I don't awkwardly beg someone to buy me a drink"
"Oh, babe, I'm so sorry! I don't have anything on me. I'm counting on that sexy lad!" she said, pointing to a blonde guy, accompanied by another blonde person. Or was it the other she pointed at? They looked very similar, so no point in trying to guess. "Ah, thank you anyway" you smiled at her.
And just as thought, Lia slyly disappeared from the picture, seeing her next to the two guys, seductively touching their arms. She was so funny. But you couldn't deny, she was so good at this. Definitely better than you. You turned around to the barman, with doe eyes.
"What can I get you, young lady?"
"Anything on the house, please" you tried to make it less awkward by laughing away, elegantly, but it didn't seem to work. "I'm sorry, darling, drinks cost money. If you lack any, I'm sorry to disappoint you, but I can't get you anything"
"Loser," you mumbled.
You walked away in annoyance, fixing your relatively short denim skirt. Maybe not the best cloth choice for a night out, but it was so cute! So was your sleeveless white top, revealing a hot cleavage, put in the light by the delicate necklace.
"You alone, pretty girl?" you heard a sensual voice from your left side, turning your head to witness maybe one of the most beautiful faces you've ever seen before.
The guy was wearing a black button up shirt, with the first 3 unbuttoned, and the sleeves rolled up. His messy dark hair and rosy lips looked so perfect in contrast with his white skin. He was sitting down on a white sofa, resting his back on the piece of furniture, with his legs slightly opened.
"Depends on who asks"
That sounded better in your head, but after you let it aloud, you felt so stupid.
"Mhm," he groaned, looking down and chuckling. "I see, pretty girl"
The dark-haired guy grabbed your wrist, pulling you closer, on the spare seat next to him. He smelt so fucking good. He had this kind of screaming sweet scent mixed with some vanilla. Closer now, you could analyse his face so much better. His dark eyes were shining in the multicolour club lights, and his skin was so smooth, at least it looked like it. You didn't dare to touch it.
"What does the pretty girl like to drink?"
"A mocktail would be perfect for me"
He softly giggled at your answer, as his left hand grabbed your chin and turned you closer to him, making eye contact. There they were again, his blinding eyes. "We both know you will get drunk on me later, so what about you start getting yourself ready with a nice set of shots for an even nicer doll?"
You gulped, taken aback by the tension he created. He was so much for it. And the closer he got, the more you got high on his perfume. It was so addictive. Where the hell did he come from? A fairytale? He was much too perfect for this fucked up world.
"I guess that works too" you answered, pulling your skirt down while not breaking the eye contact.
He looked down, sensing your movement. "Don't worry princess, you are alright" his hand was now touching your bare calf, going up your leg at a slow pace, making his way to your outer thigh. His touch made you tremble, it felt so wrong but so good at the same time. Where was the promise you made before you left? Probably somewhere lost, as the guy's hand went up to invading your personal space way too much now.
"I don't thin-"
"You don't think what?" he interrupted you promptly, his fingers teasing gently against the lingerie material. "Let the thinking to me, dollface. You just be good." Using his index and middle fingers, he kept going in circular motions. Before you knew it, you were on his lap, being aroused by his skillful fingers.
Your faces were so close, but he didn't kiss you. He only stared at your perfect looking face, whilst his fingers slipped under your panties, playfully touching your clit. You bit your lower lip in response, holding your moan back. He noticed that, and came closer to your lips. "You wish I'd kiss you so you could moan into my mouth, don't you?"
You gulped again, feeling his hot breath on your dry lips. He seemed like such a good kisser, but why didn't he want to show it to you? Because he was a tease. And he wanted you to earn in. Or shall you just make the next step? You wrapped your arms around his neck, pulling him down until your lips touched together. Fuck, even for the first second, he tasted so good. What was this man made out of?
You could feel the smile that was born on his face at your action. With his spare hand, the dark-haired guy held your back close to him. His fingers were now exploring more of you, teasing your entrance that was already dripping wet. He was making you so needy, and that was more than obvious. He kissed you hard, devouring your mouth, he seemed so famished, desiring you so much. You felt overwhelmed, and when you expected it least, both of his fingers were sliding inside you, making you whine inside his mouth, just as he previously said.
"Good girl" he tried to say in between kissing, keeping on being so hungry for your taste. His fingers went in and out your pussy, causing you to moan again. The hand that was supposed to hold your back went up to your hair and pulled it down, making you face the ceiling as his lips went down your neck "Now moan aloud too, princess"
Not that anyone could have heard you, the deafening music and the smoke around could barely make out what's going on around. But the simple thought of you getting caught was arousing him. Reason why his fingers moved faster inside you, and deeper, making you bite your lips hard. In response, he bit a tiny part of your neck, and pulled your hair harder. His fingers curled inside you, touching continously your G-spot, finally making you let a loud moan out.
He was so proud.
"Good girl, come for me" he whispered, pushing your head back up and going back to making out with you, while his fingers went back to deep and precise motions. His tongue played with yours in a little battle that he won. All the odds were on his side. He had you coming for him, the dark-haired guy not giving you a break. He needed to stop, you really couldn't handle all that. It was too much for you.
It seemed that he almost read your mind, cause as soon as you thought that, he took his fingers out, cleaning them by your chest, covering it in your liquor. "Tight" he said, biting your lips one more time before backing up. That felt so fucking good. You were so out of breath, leaning on his chest. You thought you shouldn't do this, given that he is not your boyfriend. Isn't it normal to just leave when this finishes?
But he was so warm, and you were so stupid.
"You come here often, darling?" he asked, going back to being a gentleman.
He lit up a cigarette, blowing the smoke on the opposite side of you. He offered you one, but you refused. Not quite your thing. But he looked so sexy smoking that shit. So fine. So perfect. And you wish he could have been yours.
"Not really. But if you do, I will have a change of heart"
He chuckled, taking another smoke from the cigarette. Putting your hair behind your ear, he grabbed your cheek with two fingers and acted just like an old lady seeing her nephews. "You are so cute"
You still couldn't move on from what just happened. And even though he stopped a while ago, you could still feel the pleasure your pussy was in. So fucking good.
"What's your name?" you asked, hopeful.
"Does that change a thing? You don't need these details"
"I need you, though" that made him smile.
He gave you a short kiss, a last one, and got up from the white-leathered sofa. "I'm sorry, pretty girl, but I'd need to have you gone if you knew my name." He fixed his button up shirt, and threw the cigarette in the ashtray. You felt so disappointed. How could you let him go so easily?
"How about next Saturday at the same time, in the same place?" you tried shooting your shot one last time.
He didn't say a word. However, he winked at you and then made his way out. That was all you needed. Now, sitting alone in the lonely club, you were so lost in your thoughts. Wow. Just wow. Lia finally made her way to you, way too drunk, and fell next to you. She didn't say a word, but let a sigh out.
"Can you drive home, Y/N?"
But you couldn't answer. You were only thinking about him. Anyway,
how long until next week?

Xavier Thorpe x Male Reader Headcannons
Tumblr media
A/N  - sup my dudes, chicks and everything in between. I have risen from the dead aka depression and i decided to give y’all something i haven’t seen YET - a Xavier Thorpe x male reader ( cuz i’m a simp for dudes who look healf dead and tired as hell lmao) so enjoy :)) (if yall want me to write sum u can try submitting it but like i can’t promise that i will write it cuz im lazy af, but u can try ur luck lmao
First of all, I would like to imagine you’d be an Addams
And alternative like the rest of your family
When you run into him after you finished unpacking and left to find your sister, he wouldn’t give you much thought
And the fact that after running into him and falling down you curse, A LOT
‘‘Aw fucking hell man, watch where you’re going!’‘
And speed walking away after getting up
After that, he’d definitely be intrigued
Xavier is a sucker for alternative people let’s be honest
You would catch him staring when you’re reading and listening to The Cure or System of a Down
But then again, he’s probably staring at someone behind you or something, no way he’d be into you, a dude, right? And no way you’d be into him, out of all people.
That all changes after you keep seeing him in the hallways, you both are whipped for each other.
One day, you were walking to class and there were no seats left, except for the one next to him
Just your luck! ( Don’t lie, you’d be happy)
‘‘Hey, uhh, is this seat taken?’‘
‘‘Hi’‘
‘‘Is it?’‘
‘‘Uh no yeah no it’s not’‘, he stumbles over his words while moving his bag away so you can sit.
‘‘Cool, thanks, man.’‘
After that, you start to greet him when you see him, which is quite often since you both go to Nevermore.
Sometimes, you even start a conversation about art and other things, like teasing him about being in a secret club, which you definitely didn’t hear from your sister Wednesday.
Those little hi’s and hello’s turn into something else at the Rave’N.
Xavier is left stunned and speechless after your entrance. You were wearing combat boots, a beautiful black suit, and a fancy black dress shirt.
At first, you didn’t get along with Bianca, but after a heartwarming conversation about things you hate, you find out you actually have a lot in common, and she definitely notices your and Xavier’s mutual pinning, so she basically pushes him out of his seat to go talk to you.
‘‘Wow, Y’N, uh you look amazing, just, wow’‘
He stutters out.
‘‘Thanks, you look great too, can’t say that white is my favorite color but it suits you. Wanna dance?’’
‘‘Yes, yeah, definitely.’’
After dancing the night away, you decide it’s too stuffed inside so you leave to get some air. The cold night air never felt better. That’s not the only thing you wanted, you pull out a pack of cigarettes and light one. Ah nicotine, my beloved.
Of course, Xavier finds you and joins you on the cold ground after a few minutes, when your cigarette is smoked only halfway.
‘‘Since when do you smoke?’‘ He questions you.
‘‘Since I don’t know, it just happened. Uncle Fester offered me a cigar once and it kind of went on from there.’‘ You say smiling at him, which is quite rare.
Both of you sit in comfortable silence for a while, watching the stars and enjoying each other’s company.
‘‘Hey, may I ask you something?’‘
Xavier asks, clearly nervous about something. Without thinking, you put one of your hands over his, thinking it would comfort him, but it only makes him freeze.
‘‘Oh shit, sorry, my bad.’‘ You utter, sad when he pulls his hand away.
‘‘Oh no, it’s not that I don’t like it, you know, it’s not that I don’t like you, no I like you, uhm’‘ Xavier rambles on trying to find the right words.
‘‘What I’m trying to say is that I like you, I don’t know if I only like guys or girls or both but I know that I definitely like you, like I like guys, more specifically you.’‘
That wasn’t anything you were planning on hearing from him. You’re frozen in place, mouth agape just staring at him.
‘‘If it makes you uncomfortable I’ll if you don’t want to talk to me again and..’‘
You cut him off mid-sentence, pulling him by his tie into a kiss. At first, he doesn’t kiss you back, but after a short while, you can feel him ease into it.
When you pull back you can hear him utter a small whoa, which makes you slightly laugh.
Xavier is definitely smiling at you, admiring how beautiful you are.
‘‘Oh fuck off Thorpe.’‘ You scoff at him, slightly elbowing him in the shoulder.
‘‘You like me, you, Y/N Addams, like me.’‘ He retorts, grinning at you.
‘‘Yes, I like you, you idiot. Now come here, I want another kiss.’‘

Ran Haitani seems to have some sort of fixation with you so suddenly, and though you despise him, you don't miss the way your strict father hates his guts, so you ultimately use him to get back at your father.
Tumblr media
ran haitani x fem!reader
tags: (5.8k words) one-sided enemies to lovers, college student!reader, implied bet on reader, toxic relationship with reader's father, tenjiku ran haitani, i tried to make ran irritating as possible, but i love him too much, lolz, explicit sexual content: kissing, oral (f), implied blowjobs, fingering, exhibitionism; ran fucks you in a car park, alcohol usage, you work at a bar
author's note: this was based off a request from 🍉 anon (ps i love u so much. i had so much fun writing this). and as majority of my fics are, it's too long to fit into one part so i'm splitting it up....lmao
Tumblr media
You know Haitani Ran from the way he walks into class late, unbothered, with a prep in his step, hands shoved into the depths of his pockets, taking his sweet time to walk all the way up the lecture stairs to his seat at the back right of the top row. The entire class sits still, women admiring him with flushed faces, whispering to their friends next to them about him, the boys spiteful, bitter at the reactions of the girls to his mere presence. Ran’s infamous, “Sorry, sorry for being late,” line is one the lecturer is prepared to hear every Wednesday. He slots himself down in his spot, which happens to be next to you.
As someone who takes their education very seriously; it’s unfortunate to be stuck with such an idiot as a seatmate, always looking over at your paper to copy your answers, and if he’s not copying, he’s on his phone, playing an obnoxious game that’s quiet enough for everybody else not to hear, except you since you’re seated so close.
“Did everybody submit the assignments?” The lecturer asks, disappointed in the way half the class sweat in panic, the other half nodding, a monotone yes , sir filling the air.
Being part of half of the class that bothered to do the work, you don’t panic, rather feel confident in your abilities, leaning back in your chair as you can spend the next few weeks relaxing for the final exams.
It’s amusing seeing Ran’s eyes go wide, from the corner of your eye, at the mention of an assignment, his delusions so high that he’s reaching inside his bag for work he didn’t even know existed.
You can’t help but scoff.
That catches his attention, and you stiffen up when you feel him look at you.
“Somethin’ funny?”
“Yeah,” you challenge, turning to face him, meeting him eye to eye. “You.”
He does an excellent job at hiding his surprise, but you’re good at reading people, picking up on the way his head jerks back a little at your response. He chuckles, short and sweet, resting an elbow on the table, leaning his face on his palm and stares down at you.
“Yeah? What about me?”
It’s probably the first conversation you’ve had with him since you started studying here. He’s popular, not just in school, but outside. Infamous for…loads of things. Just know he’s not a good person, the police know that, the civilians know that, the school knows that; yet they turn a blind eye to his antics. Is it his charisma? Does he pay them off? You feel like you’re the only one with common sense in the entire city, because you have a valid reason to hate a delinquent like him.
You don’t bother to dignify him with a response, rolling your eyes and turning back to your laptop.
Ran won’t lie; he’s a little stunned at your behaviour towards him. So used to girls practically falling at his feet, kissing his shoes, fainting at his presence. That last one was pretty exaggerated, yes—but it happened once at a club. Maybe it was influenced by alcohol, or drugs…but it happened. For once in his life, he’s stumped, sneaking glances at you every now and then.
You’re typing away at your laptop, getting started on the next assignment. Your education is something you take a lot of pride in, not only for your future self, but for your father. Overall, he doesn’t really care about you, not as much as your brother. The favourtism is obvious even though he insists he doesn’t exist and you’re just being dramatic .
If you were to ask yourself why you’re spending so much studying just to impress him, why you’re craving fatherly love from someone who can’t give it to you. It’s been your only motivation to study, the thought of your father being proud of your accomplishments.
Ran’s stare is…distracting, to say the least. Whether you think he’s staring hard deliberately, or staring obliviously, it doesn’t matter because it’s still fucking annoying.
With a hefty sigh, you stop typing, turning to face him. “Do you mind?”
There’s a sweet saccharine smile on his face as he leans on his elbow, looking down at you like you’re the best thing in the world. You shift in your seat, not liking how your body reacts to that stare, but keep your face stoic.
“Mind what?”
His smile only grows when you roll your eyes, shifting your chair away from him to focus better. Briefly, you look around the lecture hall for empty seats. There’s no way in hell this guy will follow you if you do choose to sit somewhere else. Not only would that be irritating as fuck because he’s probably found a new target to leech onto, but you’d automatically turn into Public Enemy No.1 if you were now labelled as Ran’s plaything . Eesh, even the thought of being that makes you shudder with disgust.
Your lack of sexual nature is one thing you take pride in. Most people your age couldn’t go more than two weeks without sex. It’s not that hard , you think, but then again, when you have attractive idiotic men running around with their dicks out like the dude next to you, it is pretty hard for some girls to resist.
Deep down, you know if you were more like them, you wouldn’t be able to resist him either. He smells good, always . A smoky signature scent that if someone else tried to replicate, it would be obvious who they were inspired by. It’s so strong that the scent stays lingering in the area even when he’s not around. A constant reminder marking his presence.
For someone that hates him so much, there’s a part of you hoping he comes in everyday, just to smell him. As creepy as that sounds, you don’t go and sniff him like some dog with no home training, just a small sniff whenever the scent wafts in your direction.
It’s not your fault, nor your nose's fault that he uses such a nice smelling cologne.
Either way, it doesn’t matter; because the lecture is ending earlier than usual; the professor had to go to a meeting so class dismissed.
As you pack your bags, you’re vaguely aware of him staring at you again. It’s hard to ignore, but you refuse to let him know that he has an effect on you. His gaze follows you down the steps until you exit.
The following evening, you’re working your night shift at the campus bar, wiping down freshly washed glasses with a cloth when you hear his obnoxious voice behind you, laughing loudly at something his friends are saying. Your heart drops down to the floor when you realise he’s seated in your section, meaning whether you like it or not you will have to serve him sooner or later. With a sigh, you grab at your notepad and pen far too aggressively for someone that should be obeying the bar's policies, ‘always serve the customers with a smile !’ or the one your manager had reminded you far too many times because of your resting bitch face, ‘always look approachable .”
Yeah. Whatever .
It’s obvious you’re stalling with the way you’re dodging Ran’s table, taking everyone’s orders, smiling that perfectly trained smile you forced yourself to plaster on your face from the hours of 1700 to 2300 every Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday. Before you get to dodge his table once more, there’s a tug at the hem of your uniform, skirt flowing from the force of it. It’s strong enough to stop you in your tracks, but not enough to force you to fall over or something.
Turning to face the man himself, your smile instantly drops, back into your unamused expression. It seems that no matter how hard you trained your facial muscles, you couldn’t force that smile for someone that doesn’t deserve it.
“Have you been avoiding me?” He speaks questioningly, and you curse the fact that his brother has stopped talking, now directing his attention over at you. His stare is just as, if not, more intimidating than his brothers, and you feel a shiver run across your body.
“No. I just didn’t see you,” you huff in annoyance; an obvious lie that has his perfectly shaped brows wrinkling.
He’s probably trying to figure out how someone just happened to not see him.  It’s not out of cockiness, or arrogance—which seems to make up most of his being—but as stated before, being infamous for doing all sorts of things makes him pretty popular in this city, whether he intended that or not. So it’s only natural for someone to notice his presence.
“Yeah, okay ,” he’s scoffing like he doesn’t believe you. To be frank, if you were him you wouldn’t believe yourself either.
“Who is she?” His brother asks, taking a sip of the water he’s been forced to drink because a certain someone wouldn’t take their order.
“If I play my cards right, my future girlfriend.” Ran also takes a sip of the water, smacking his lips, when he practically hears you squawk out in shock.
“As if ,” you bite out, clutching your notepad closer to yourself, deciding if getting sent home early for refusing to take someone's order and losing out on money is worth being here with him for one more second. “Now tell me what the fuck you want to drink and stop wasting my time.”
“Fiesty one, huh?” His brother looks over at Ran who nods his head in appreciation.
“Yeah. Ain’t she cute?” The fact he’s talking about you like you aren’t even there, or aware is aggravating.
Looking down at the imaginary watch on your wrist, you click your tongue, sighing exasperatedly. “You have three more seconds to cough up your order before I abandon you.”
Ran doesn’t catch your bluff. “Guess I’ll be having a wonderful discussion with your manager then, aye?”
Yup, that does it. You poke your tongue at your cheek, closing your eyes and counting to three in your mind, facial muscles twitching in pain as you force the smile back onto your face. “Hi. What would you like today?”
Ran leans his elbow in on the table, smiling up at you contentedly. “Your name and number, please.”
It takes everything in your power to not drop the smile, but it already took the majority of your energy to put on, so you’re not about to ruin the facade even more.
“I’m afraid that isn’t on the menu ,” you say that part a bit more aggressively, mildly gesturing to the closed menu pamphlet on the wooden table that he didn’t even bother to open. “Maybe if you look at it , you’ll see what we serve.”
He looks down at the menu, and his brother chews at the whites of his nails, watching the scene with a slight interest.
“I’ll have whatever you recommend for me, and your name and number.”
“Would you just —” you shut up before you could get violent, closing your breath and inhaling deeply to steady yourself. Since your eyes are plastered shut, you vaguely miss the look Ran sends his brother, and how it sends him off into a laughing frenzy. “Look. At. The. Menu.”
He makes a show of looking at the menu for a new record of around .34 seconds, somehow already coming up with a drink of choice. “How about a cocktail that’s as sweet as you, hm?”
You know what. That’s good enough. Probably the closest answer you’ll get to the real thing.  “Sure, whatever.”
You approach your co-worker behind the bar, tell her the drink is for Haitani Ran and watch as her eyes practically morph into hearts, doing your best to ignore her asking if she makes the drink well enough, will he fall in love?
“Do me a favour and pour vinegar in his drink.” You take a shot from the clean glass she just washed, uncaring of the way she frowns.
“No! Why would I do that?” Ai seems genuinely horrified at the idea, wondering if you know who he is and why you would want to prank someone like him.
“‘Cause he deserves it?”
Ai shakes her head, mixing the drink as well as she can, pouring all her love into it before sliding it onto a tray, handing it to you. “Voila! If he likes it, tell him to gimme his number, yeah?”
“Cool, whatever.” You walk off before she could say anything further.
If this was a plate of food, or a bottle of water on the tray, you would’ve slammed it onto the table, uncaring of the mess it makes after. But since it’s a very delicate , fragile cocktail glass, you fight back on that urge.
“Enjoy it,” you say with the most monotone voice, stalking away before he could find something else to say.
The rest of the night goes by quickly, and peacefully, and it wasn’t until you were closing up for the night, you felt those same pair of lingering eyes on you as you mopped under the tables.
“How the fuck are you still here?” You ask, going borderline insane, looking over at the same table the two brothers have been occupying for the rest of the night.
Rindou has his chair tilting back on its heels as he leans back, feet on the table, and your face scrunches up when you realise you have to do extra cleaning tonight. Ran stands from his chair, hovering over you, enjoying the way you don’t even bristle, or look away like most girls would.
“Wasn’t leavin’ without your number.”
“Then I hope you brought a sleeping bag.”
You try to move to clean the rest of the floor but of course , he stops you, extending his arm out to curl around your side, pulling you back to him.
“Oh my god, I can’t believe this is happening to me right now,” you mutter more to yourself than to him, the thought of Ran Haitani now leeching onto you as his latest target was annoying in itself.
He holds his hand out, not saying another word, presumably waiting for you to hand your phone. You reach down to smack his hand away, but his reflexes get the better of you, gripping onto your hand tight in a way you struggled to escape out of.
“I’m not playing these games with you, Haitani.”
“Neither am I.” With an irritating amount of nonchalance, he extends his spare hand (acting like he isn’t currently squeezing the life out of your own hand), and gestures over to your phone, prominent in the pocket of your uniform. “Number please . See? I’m even being polite.”
“How generous.” The sarcasm drips from your voice blatantly, but he either is too idiotic to pick up on it, or just ignores it completely because he’s so persistent on getting your number. “Fine,” you kiss your teeth, giving in, thinking if you ghost him it might be enough to decimate his ego to the point of no return.
“Yay ♡ ” He sounds as giddy as he looks and as annoyed as you should be, you find it kind of cute that he’s this excited to contact you.
“Take it.” You hand him the piece of paper you wrote your number on, pulling it away before he could grab at it. “But if you spam me, I’m blocking you.”
“Wouldn’t dream of it.”
Obviously you don’t plan on doing anything with him, just ignoring all his messages till he gives up and finds a new girl to leech onto. There’s plenty of pussy in this campus for him anyway, yours just happens to not be easily accessible. It’s not like he would have trouble finding a new target. Hell, you can already name fifteen girls in your Monday 10AM lecture alone that would drop everything to lay in bed with that man.
By the time you get home, he’s already sending you a text that you ignore in favour of taking a shower. Your father looks like he’s in a bad mood, so the last thing you want to do is talk to him and provoke him further with your presence alone. But it seems when he’s angry enough, he’ll look for anything to argue with you about.
After eating dinner, you were perched up on the living room couch, enjoying yourself some pity ramen as you watch Love Island USA, engaging in on the drama before your father storms in; clearly irritated as he hears the stupid voices on the TV.
“Can you turn that crap off ? My news programme starts soon.”
You barely bother to look at him, focusing back on the TV, more specifically, the shot of Tommy, 27, as the camera pans downwards towards his abs. It’s a bit annoying he had to walk in now , but you don’t care. You’re ‘grown’ according to his words whenever you ask him to help you out with something. You’re a grown woman now, what do you need my help for? Act like an adult.
And acting you will .
He seems offended that you don’t respond, instead drool over some dude on the TV. “When are you going to start acting your—”
“My what ? My age? I’m nineteen, not 34 with three kids. You should be lucky that I’m not out there, doing drugs, sleeping around, getting arrested like most people my age are! Because if you want that, just tell me. I’ll do it.”
“They’re being irresponsible in their own way. What about you? When was the last time you even showed me your grades?”
“Because the last time I recall, you told me I’m a grown woman, so why should a grown woman show her father her grades, like I’m a fucking child?”
“Do not swear in my house.”
You take a moment to chew your food before cussing up a storm, spewing out every swear word you can think of. The argument escalates with both of you yelling at each other, expressing your differing opinions and frustrations. The tension in the room was palpable, and the exchange of your words became equally hurtful.
“You never listen to me, Dad! You’re so focused on yourself and your failing business that you can’t see that I’m not you and I won’t sacrifice my happiness just to please you.”
“This is not about me ! What don’t you get?! This is about you being responsible and making something of yourself. Right now? All I see is a pathetic girl, crushing over men that are twice her age on the TV. You’re just being stubborn and selfish.”
“Oh, so you want me to go after real men then? That what you want? You want me to find some toxic asshole that would ruin me so I can come back home to you so you’d have some sick pleasure of saying I told you so ?” At this point, you feel emotionally drained, too tired to keep arguing like this.
Your day was going well-ish , minus the pest called Ran Haitani, but removing him from the equation made your day overall a 9. Knowing your father, he would only continue escalating the issue at hand because he can, so you hand him the remote. “ There . Change the damn channels and enjoy your news programme.”
He seems awfully proud of himself, like he didn’t just verbally abuse his child all for some goddamn news programme. You can’t find it in yourself to walk out of the living anyway, so you both sit there in silence. The only sounds are the remote buttons clicking as he types in the channel.
As the news unfolded, the anchor mentioned the infamous delinquent gang known as Tenjiku, followed by the name you were all too familiar with: Ran Haitani, and a few other random guys he’s criminally acquainted with. Your father’s face tightens and he looks over at you.
“Those boys are you age, right?”
You fight the urge to say, yeah, want me to join them? , choosing to be the bigger person and nod your head in silence.
“This is what I hate about your generation—”
And here he goes again. You tune him out now, instead focusing on the news reporter discussing how gang violence has been increasing rapidly over the course of the last few weeks as many young influenced middle school boys are now joining more gangs. In the background, your dads rant comes to a stop.
“I’m glad you stay at home all day instead of being around bad news like them. I don’t want my child getting caught up in their mess.”
You sigh, not bothering to comment on how your dad is a fucking hypocrite, but realise that his concern stems from a desire to protect you. It’s a shame you didn’t care because you found your hands moving to your phone, sending a quick text out to Ran, asking him to hang out this weekend.
Is it wrong of you to be using him like this just to get your dad angry?
Yeah, probably. But Ran was most likely using you in the same way just to impress his friends, so in a sick sense, you were both even.
Days pass by after the living room encounter with your father, and you found yourself deep in thought. One evening, you decided to take matters into your own hands, determined to seize the opportunity, you snuck out of your room, venturing to Tenjiku’s hangout location; just an abandoned car park. Ran spots you looking around the place uncomfortably, so obviously out of place, and hops off the wall to head over to you. His expression shifts from surprise, to amused, chuckling as he crosses his arms over his chest.
“Well well well, look who’s finally caved.”
If it wasn’t for the fact you just spent the last fifteen minutes walking here, you would’ve abandoned the plan you made and gone home already. His cockiness was something you weren’t excited to entertain.
“Don’t get too excited before I change my mind,” you say firmly, ignoring the flutter of nerves in your stomach when his eyes shamelessly wander down the length of your body.
“I like that attitude,” he admits with a smirk, tilting your chin up with his finger, making you meet his gaze.
Maybe it was out of pure shock,  but you don’t remove his finger, just let him redirect your gaze to meet his eyes. You notice how nice his face is up close. Regularly, you can’t bear to stare at him for longer than five seconds at a time, but with his finger keeping your face upright, it allows you to notice his long lashes, how they’re curved upwards almost perfectly, the faint splatter of freckles dusted asymetically across his cheeks. His hair…you refuse to comment on it, lest you say something you’d regret. But that aside, he wasn’t bad , and you maybe…just a little— (a smidge or a pinch) see the hype around him. His voice wasn’t anything to play around with either, and you’d think if it didn’t belong to an ingrate like him, you could successfully admit without a shadow of a doubt that you liked it.
You seem to be oogling his face, sending him mixed signals because he’s leaning in, capturing your lips in a heated kiss that instantaneously sends a rush of adrenaline through your body. You were too stunted to push him off, despising how you’re enjoying the feeling of his lips moving against your stiff ones. It wasn’t your first kiss, but it had been a while since you kissed someone, so you were a little off. It was like he could sense your hesitation, your awkwardness, because his hand cups the back of your head, gripping your hair as he moves your head in the way he wants you.
The fact you now know that Ran Haitani is a good kisser pisses you off because that was information you couldn’t care less about storing inside your brain. But what pisses you off more is the fact you still haven’t pulled away yet , and his friends are not even a couple metres away, smoking or whatever it is they do in their free time.
He bends down to pick you up from your thighs, relishing in the way you yelp from being lifted from the ground so suddenly, holding onto his shoulders for balance.
“Relax, would ya? I’m not gunna drop you.” He’s referring to the tight grip you have on his shoulders as he walks towards his car.
“You might as well. I need some sense knocked into me anyway.”
“That’s not the only thing I’ll—” He stops himself with a grin, refusing to finish those words and leaving you second guessing.
Obviously you’re not stupid , you have some vague idea of what dirty joke he’s implying. “You’re sick.”
“‘M aware of that.” He puts you on the hood of his car, laying you flat as he steps in between your open legs.
It seems he misunderstood what you came here for because you didn’t come here for this, yet you still can’t find it in yourself to push him away, moaning softly when his lips crash down to your neck, sucking away at your skin. Maybe tricking Ran into dating you would do no good, he’s not cut out for relationships anyway; your brain tries to persuade you that revenge on your father isn’t worth your dignity but with the way he’s kissing down your neck, so sensual, you can’t help but clasp your arms around his head, guiding him further down your body.
He goes further downwards and lifts your shirt up to reveal your stomach, kissing the soft skin there while simultaneously hooking his fingers between the layers of your shorts and panties, tugging them off your body, placing them next to you on the car.
Is it a little (just a little????) crazy that you’re about to get eaten out in public, on a hood of a car ? Yes, it is. But the rush of adrenaline hits you before you had the chance to fight it off. You’re aware you’re a bit of a hypocrite but looking down at him between your legs had shifted the narrative of your thoughts a little.
He kisses the flesh of your thighs, teasing you as he surges upwards to around your pussy, pressing a light kiss to your clit before moving back to your thighs.
Irrirated, and desperate, you call his name out as harsh as you can, only for it to come out as a breathless plea. “Stop messing around, Ran.”
You’re not ready for him to flick his eyes up at you, those damn hooded eyes staring at you with a longing hunger. “So you do want this?”
“I didn’t let you lay me on your fucking car for no reason, Ran.”
His fingers dig painfully into your thighs, reminding you he has the upper hand here. “I’d like some respect when you speak to me from now on.”
“Suck a dick.”
“You will later. For now though…” he trails off as he  looks back down at the wetness that accumulated between your legs and leans down, sticking his tongue out to lick a stripe from base to tip, circling his tongue around your clit and repeating the shameless action.
You bite down on your lip, hard, in an attempt to silence yourself. The loud laughter coming a couple feet away reminds you that you’re not alone, and the last thing you’d want is for his friends to find you like this. Especially not his brother, oh no , he’s the last one you’d want to see right now. He’s the only one out of the group that witnessed your initial disdain for his brother, and you’d at least like to slither away from this night with a shred of dignity, knowing that to the rest of the general public that know you, you didn’t just fall to your knees for Ran Haitani.
Your moans shift in pitch when he begins working you open with his tongue, wrapping your legs around his head so his hands are free, he rubs his finger up and down your folds, enjoying the way you squirm from the sensation.
It’s hard to stay focused on him, his tongue, his finger that just slipped inside you. It’s even harder to stay focused on controlling your noises when he curls his finger just right . He pulls his finger out, spreading apart your folds with two fingers, and licks you up, flicking his tongue on your clit.
He really knows what he’s doing, doesn’t he? Fuck, you’re frantically looking to the side, at the sound of his friends, stomach twisting in knots from the anticipation of being caught.
Knowing that your attention is elsewhere pisses him off, shoving two of his fingers back inside you without fanfare; you let out a loud moan, instantly covering your mouth and glare down at him, ready to hiss at him before he’s standing up, holding you by the throat to pull you forward into a sitting position. His fingers are still ravaging your insides as he looks at you, keeping you steady by the hand on your throat.
“Focus on me , not them.” He watches your eyes threaten to roll back when he twists his fingers perfectly, curling them against your g-spot.
“I—I ca—” He kisses you again, hot and heavy, not letting you explain yourself. Though you should smack him for choking you like that, you’re partly grateful because he’s doing a great job at silencing you, swallowing your moans down as his tongue slides against your own. You can taste yourself in the kiss, and it’s bitter , but Ran seems to enjoy it because he’s pulling away to kneel back between your legs.
You shift to lay down  against the hood once more but his spare hand grips your hips, stopping you.
“Stay there,” he says, pulling his fingers our momentarily to tug your body towards him.
You almost fall off the car, and you most definitely would’ve fell forward if he wasn’t steadying you. He shoves his face back between your legs, devouring your pussy with his lips and tongue, overstimulating your clit to the point of no return as he clamps his lips around it, sucking hard before you fall apart. Goosebumps form on the surface of your arms as he flicks his tongue against your cunt at a rapid speed, slurping your wetness hungrily.
You slap your hand over your mouth, having to bite down into it to conceal your moans as he works you through your orgasm. Your thighs twitch and convulse by his face as he looks up at you, watching you fall apart. He shamelessly watches your chest inflate and deflate with every fast paced breath you let out.
“So fuckin’ pretty ,” he stands, laying you back down against the hood of his car. He cages you in, kissing you without letting you catch your breath.
Your legs wrap around his waist, locking him in close as his hand grips onto your chin, tilting your face up so he could kiss you deeper. He’s such a good kisser it’s almost humbling how quickly he can placate you with his lips alone.
He pulls away with a devilish smirk on his face and you roll your eyes, pushing him away from you to slide off the car.
“Don’t get all cocky now ,” he coos, wondering where this energy was not even ten seconds ago.
Your legs wobble and you fight to stand upright, but manage just fine, refusing to give him that much power over you. Grabbing your pants and shorts, you change back in shame, meanwhile he just leans against the hood of the car, watching you with a satisfied look on his face.
“Nothin’ to say?”
“Take me home.” At least tonight wasn’t a total bust; you can still go home and have your dad see him bring you back. You can still have a little bit of dignity left.
He shrugs and fishes out his car keys from his pockets. His car smells just as nice as him, you think as you step inside, tugging your seatbelt on.
“Where do you live?”
You tell him your address and it’s weird how he knows the city in and out, not even pulling out a GPS before figuring out the direction to your house. He parks right in front of your gate and you’re already unbuckling your seatbelt to get out. You’ve spent more time here than you’d initially planned anyway.
Except he locks the doors before you could get a chance.
The irritation bubbling from earlier comes back and you’re reminded of all the reasons why you despise him.
“Let me out.”
“Not yet, pretty.” He turns off the car and turns to face you. It’s amusing to him how you still haven’t quite caught your breath yet, still panting slightly as a result from your orgasm.
“What do you want now ?”
He hums in contemplation, musing his thoughts over. “Honestly? To bend you over my backseat.” He sends a suggestive look over to the back and your lips part open in shock. Mainly shocked due to how shameless this guy actually is, but also because you…liked the—no.
No. Moving on.
“Well that’s—uh—” You’re at a loss for words, mouth opening and closing like a fish, struggling to think of something witty to say and the smirk on his face has you wishing your brain was actually functioning right now so you could say something to wipe it off.
“Looks like I finally broke that know-it-all brain of yours.”
“You didn’t—” Your voice gets tinier and tinier as he leans forward, cupping the back of your head to kiss you again. This time, he’s much slower than the previous two, taking his sweet time to work you open. His tongue sweeps along your bottom lip and you subconsciously hold his nape to tug him closer.
He pulls away before you could fully get into it, eyes lingering on the swell of your bottom lips before flicking up to your eyes, looking down breathlessly at him.
“Think your pops’ is mad at me.” He nods past your body, out the window revealing your dad on the doorstep of your house, looking positively furious, arms crossed by his side, waiting, daring you to step foot inside his house.
You whip your head backwards, eyes widening marginally at his face.
You’ve never seen him that mad before….
“On second thought…” you bite your lip, picking your dignity again over your mental well-being. You’re far too out of it to have another argument with him tonight. “Can you take me to yours?”
“Fuck, ‘course I can.”

miss you so _INUI SEISHU
"you can let go of me now", seishu stated from his seat on the bike, with a bored tone and rightfully so, considering that you've been clinging to him from your passager seat for the last 5 minutes after he turned off the engine. "no", your cheery voice was muffled against his back, making him sighed, silently considering of removing you from the bike himself like a child. seriously, how long have you seen the last of each other for you to behave like this?
as if reading his mind, you said, "2 weeks. that's how long you've left me on my own, so i'm making sure you stay put". your boyfriend immediately snapped his head back, "you're lying. it can't be that long". or can it? he questioned as he watched you raised your head from his back, eyes squinting accusingly. "no, i'm not! you sent me home after our night ride on sunday. i texted you on thursday about my club's event and got no reply. i came to your place on saturday to give you my cooking, you're not home. i asked koko on wednesday where you were, even he didn't know. then you appeared in front of my door today, after 2 weeks".
'no way.. ", he's breathes out a puff of warm air, the warmth that matched yours as you continued to bury your face against his back. "yes way". at this point, he's very tempted to remove you from the seat like a child, "fine, my bad! can you get down? my ass is freezing here", now he's the one pouting, but you just giggled in return and hugged him tighter. "not letting you go anymore, you're mine alone", you said, dragging your last word playfully. with that, seishu let out a loud sigh and turned on his engine. if he's going to do this your way, then so be it.
"where are we going? aren't we getting hot chocolate?", you raised your face again. strangely, you sounded excited for yet another ride in this cold weather. "if you want to cuddle me all day long then might as well get us somewhere warm", he said, riding forward at neck-break speed. if you weren't riding right now, seishu bet you'd be bouncing on your heels from the giddiness, which he found adorable, but his ego wouldn't let him tell you that.
"my place?". "your place. i still want my hot chocolate". his ears registered your sweet laughter, the melody he couldn't believe he survived without for 2 weeks. "you'll get your hot chocolate once i get my cuddle", you snuggled closer against his back for warmth. the scenery around you blurred out to the speed of his bike, the only one in your mind was each other, together, always. "yea, sorry for making you wait for too long. i miss you too".

・ 。゚☆:  *・ December 4th, 2023 ☽ .* :☆゚.
Wednesday.
You flutter your lashes open, a soft moan leaving your lips as you adjust yourself in your bed. You can feel a soft stream of light on your face, waking you up from your relaxing sleeping. You instantly shove your face into your pillow, groaning at the sound of cars and birds chirping. Jesus, what time is it? As much as you don’t want to, and how warm and soft your bed is, you decide it’s probably time to wake up. You stretch your arms over your head, and sigh in contentment. You look to the side, noticing that the bedside counter is next to your head.
You furrow your eyebrows, shouldn’t there be a wall right… Wait.
You blink a few more times, adjusting your eyes into your situation. Instantly, you remember where you are, and why you’re here. It feels like your stomach is bursting with butterflies now, but you try to ground yourself.
The counter is holding all the things from the day before. Computers, notebooks, textbooks, pencils, and even the sticky-note Sukuna wrote on. You’re tempted to look at the note again, but you catch the sight of the clock on his counter. You feel your heart drop to your stomach, all butterflies evaporating into thin air..
You sit up straight, twisting your head to look at Sukuna, “Shit! Sukuna why didn’t you—“
If possible, your stomach twists even harder. The space next to you is empty, void of any form of existing life other than a messy pillow. You feel your eyebrow twitch, before punching his pillow.
That fucking lying ass son of a bi–
Wait, what day is it?
You feel a rush of nauseous and guilt flood your all at once, when you remember the day. Wednesday. “Shit, I have my club today!” You push his blanket off your body and rush towards the door. You halt on your heel, patting your hips for your phone, only to see it still resting on the dresser, right next to the sticky note and your computer. You pause for a second, moving back and forth before deciding to leave it behind.
Whatever, it’s not needed. You can always borrow a phone and call Nobara, even if you don’t know her number, or anyone other than your mother’s and a good 3/4ths of your father’s. So, pfft, you’re good.
You shove your Converse on, running towards your school with halftied shoes. You’re wearing your pjs from the night, and your hair is a tangled mess. You didn’t even have time to wash your face, or your makeup from the previous day.
Wait, why didn’t Sukuna say anything about your messy makeup when you went to his–oh my god, stop thinking about Sukuna. You mentally yell at yourself, pulling a tight corner and continuing to run.
Your chest is hurting, not only from running, but from Sukuna’s absence. Yet, you don’t feel like you’ve truly been able to let his actions sink in, but the moment they do, you know you’re going to be a weeping mess. Which is something you really, really want to avoid.
That backstabbing asshole, such a fucking liar.
You can feel the gaze of many, passing you unfathomable looks before going back to their mundane activities of life. Fuck them for judging you, and fuck them for having nice cars to take them anywhere they want, whenever they want.
Okay, calm down. You mentally tell yourself. Not everyone that is glaring at you owns a car, nor are they even looking at you. Most likely. Hopefully.
The moment you reach the campus a few happy tears stream down your face, your feet feel heavy and hard to move, your throat absolutely burning with pain, it’s dry and scratchy. A happy sigh leaves your mouth, before you twist yourself into the direction of the library.
Pushing open the library doors, and entering with a loud huff. Gaining a rude “Shush!” From the librarian, which you don’t even pay much attention to. You’re rushing to the club room, topping over a small stack of books, which garners you a ring of explicits from the studier, before reaching the club room door.
You feel another sigh of relief past your lips, and despite how much your body absolutely hurts, you feel a bit better. Even if it’s a tiny, tiny bit. In all honesty, there’s no point in even coming at this point, the club meeting ends in a few minutes.
Until the door smacks you in the face, opening right into you. You stumble backwards, cupping your nose. “Ow.” Your bag’s straps fall down from your shoulders. What is up with doors hitting you?
The person gasps, reaching for your shoulders. “Oh! Madame president, I didn’t mean to-“ They pause, “Madame president?” They sound less worried, and more concerned and surprised now. “I thought you weren’t–”
You place a hand out while keeping one firmly pressed against your nose, cutting them off. “Please stop calling me that.” You shake your head slightly, trying to move into the room. “I have to—“
“I thought you weren’t coming today?” They ask you, adjusting their glasses, and placing their hands behind their back. “Are you feeling better? You don’t… look to goo–” They cut off their sentence, not wanting to offend you.
“I have to come in.” You say exasperated, placing your hands on your hips to try and catch your breath. “Or, no one’s going to fill out the paperwork.” Despite how fucking simple it is.
“Well, isn’t that why you got a sub?” They tilt their head to the side, “He’s already done everything for you, he’s even learning a few things in sign language as we speak.”
You feel your eyebrows furrow, “Wait. What?” You tilt your head to the side, trying to look into the room, but you can’t see anything, unfortunately.
They roll their eyes, “Yeah, next time you have a sub, at least don’t make them obnoxiously attractive.” You watch as they cross their arms over their chest, huffing a small bit. “All the girls have been at his feet trying to teach him simple words like hi, or you’re cute.” They huff, “It’s kinda’ pathetic.”
You laugh despite your confusion, “Someone sounds jealous.” You ignore their glare, “But, I don’t remember asking for a sub?” Is it Yuuji? “Uh, what’s his…” name? You finish the sentence in your head, but quickly realize where it’s most likely not a good idea to ask the name of someone who you allegedly appointed as a sub. Which… you didn’t even know it was a thing for club presidents.
They give you an expecting look, fixing their glasses.
“Uh, I’m just here to make sure things are working out.” You push past them, and immediately you pause at the door’s frame. Your lips part in a silent gasp, a bit shocked by the man standing inside. Now, you don’t know whether to be mad, or touched by his absence earlier today.
The person who hit you with the door comes by your side, crossing their arms over their chest and huffing. “So, did you know he was coming in for you?” They laugh a bit, “In fact, do you even know who he is?”
“Yes, I know who he fuckin’ is.” You whisper back, passing them a quick glance. “Sukuna. He’s my friend.” You blink a few times, turning your gaze to the floor, your face feels a bit hot. “I didn’t know he was coming in for me.”
“Uh-huh.” They respond back, not believing you. They fix their glasses, “Sure. Didn’t know you were friends with giga-chat frat boys who know nothing, but the bottle of a beer bottle, and pussy.”
“You’re mouthy today.” You snap, “And, don’t say that about him.” You point an accusing finger at them. “He’s so much more than that.” You smile to yourself, crossing your arms over your chest in a conceited manner. “Besides, even with his hot face, he’s still smarter than you, and gets more pussy, too.”
“Sure.”
You don’t respond, just turn your attention to Sukuna. “What’s he been doing while I’m gone?” You tilt your head to the side, noting the clipboard often held by you at meetings in his hands.
“Just some of your basic paperwork, simple things, really.” They wave off, “He’s also been learning things.”
“Did he ask to?”
“No, the girls are forcing him to. I think.”
“What have they been teaching him?”
They force a smile at you, tilting their head to the side. “Why don’t you go ask him yourself?” They push themself off the door frame, passing you a smile, “You two are friends, right?”
“We are.” You lean on the frame this time, fluttering your lashes. “I’ll see you next week?”
“We don’t meet for the rest of the year.” They say, playing with their curly hair. “Remember? Finals are going to be a bitch and a half until break.” They pass you a final wave, before departing from the small conference room. Yet, your eyes are trained on Sukuna.
Sukuna passes a glare at the girl next to him, clipboard in hand while writing something down. But, the girl snatches it from him, saying something along the lines of, ‘Ah, don’t worry about it, I can help with the paperwork!’ Which pisses you off. Not because of her attempt for Sukuna’s attention, but for the fact that she’s doing this for Sukuna, and not you. Who knew people in the club were capable of doing that paperwork?
Not only that, but Sukuna looks… nice today. A college sweatshirt, and some simple black pants. You can still see his golden chain, but this time he’s wearing some matching earrings. You didn’t know he had his ears pierced, or… had that many. He even had the nerve to slick back his hair.
Jesus, you look like an actual mess.
Another girl grabs Sukuna’s arm, tugging him in her direction. Which doesn’t last long, Sukuna quickly pulls away, but gives her a look with an eyebrow raised. She’s quick to show him a paper, which you assume has some basic words in ASL.
You shut the door behind you, which makes everyone but Sukuna flinch. “How did this meeting go?” You ask, making your way to the girl, Jamie, holding the clipboard.
Jamie awkwardly laughs, tossing a chunk of hair behind her shoulder. “Uhm, it was good. We got all the paperwork done.” She lifts the board in the air, shaking it a bit.
“Yeah.” You snatch the board from her, seeing that all the information is filled out. “Good to know you’re fully capable of completing the paperwork when necessary.” You pass her a hard glare, which is returned with a sheepish smile. You look at Sukuna, “Did everyone behave?”
Sukuna’s smirking, “Oh yeah, definitely.” He tilts his head to the side, crossing his arms over his chest. He cocks his head to the side, “Lilith, here, helped me with learning a few phrases.” He passes her a quick glance, whispering, “Thanks, baby.”
Lilith passes him an enthusiastic head nod, and smile.
You feel your eye twitch, “Uh-huh. Is that so?” You place the clipboard in its place, sassily placing a hand on your hip. “And, what exactly did you learn?”
“I love you.” Sukuna relishes in the way you freeze, but try to quickly shake it off. “And, a lot of other things. Nothing too big.” He passes you a shit-eating smirk, “Why don’t you teach me things? Aren’t you the president, or somethin’?”
You ignore his slight jab at you, “Really?” You turn back to face them, leaning on the counter. “Good job, Lilith. That’s impressive.” Even though you’ve always been on your phone every club meeting. “I didn’t know you were so attentive.”
Sukuna nods, “Very attentive.”
You scoff, “Well, the club is dismissed. No more meetings until next semester.” You say to the girls, passing them a quick wave. “I’ll see you after break.”
Lilith turns to Sukuna, “Do you want to walk with me?” She asks innocently.
She’s bold.
“Oh, I can come, too!” Jamie adds, “We’re roommates, so you won’t have to walk too long.”
Woah. You feel your stomach turn with unease, something hot and toxic bubbling at the back of your throat. Is this jealousy? You feel your eye twitch with annoyance, watching the two of them speak by Sukuna’s side. Wait, you don’t get jealous, and even if you were, you and Sukuna aren’t even… dating.
Why are you even thinking about this, you aren’t jealou–“Sukuna?” You innocently ask, which makes him pass you a delighted look. So, he knows what he’s doing. Wonderful.
Sukuna tilts his head to the side, “Yes, doll?” The two girls seem to mimic his movements, passing you their full attention now that Sukuna is looking at you. Good.
“Are you going to be home before seven? Or, am I going to have to walk home?” You fake some pain, placing a hand on your lower back. “That’d be cruel of you, especially after last night.”
Suddenly, the state of your appearance is the only thing the two girls are looking at. Your messy hair, messy makeup, and your clothing which seems a bit more wrinkled than they should be.
Sukuna smirks, biting the inside of his cheek while looking away from you. “How cruel of me.”
“See, now you have to take me home.” You say with a smile, “So happy we came to an agreement.” You turn to the two girls, “Sorry, but looks like he’s going to be busy, maybe some other time he can walk you to your apartment.
The two girls huff, and turn to Sukuna for his opinion. “Yeah, yeah.” He stuffs a hand into his pocket, rolling his eyes. “It’s better than walking around with some annoying ass bitches.” For once, you love that Sukuna is someone who says exactly what he’s thinking with no censor.
The two girls scoff and finally leave the room with a loud door slam. You narrow your eyes at Sukuna, pointing an accusing finger at him. “Shut up.” You turn away from him, arms crossed over your chest. “I don’t want to hear a word from you.”
“Mhm.” Sukuna hums, slowly moving to your side. “Not going to say anything.”
You scoff, “You need to learn to control your dick.” You huff, finally looking at him. “Those girls weren’t even that hot, I’m like… way hotter.”
Sukuna raises an eyebrow, “You look like a mess.”
“That’s not the correct response.” You glare at him, “And, besides, whose fault is that?”
Sukuna doesn’t respond for a moment, merely stares at you with an unreadable expression. Yeah, you look hot when you’re mad, no wonder he likes messing with you. “Mhm.” He smirks, cupping your face. “I like knowing that.” He moves in close to kiss you, but you quickly shove him away.
“I know you’re trying to be sexy.” Sukuna gives you an expecting look. And, you are, you mentally think. “But, I don’t feel ho–”
“You look hot. I’m just fuckin’ with you.” Sukuna says, twisting your messy hair in his hand. “Especially when you are jealous, or mad. Fuck. You should really look at yourself.” Suddenly, Sukuna thinks about doing just that in front of the mirror in his room. “And, I’m trying to fuck you in the club room.” He lowers his head, twisting it to the side to ghost his lips over yours.
You can feel your thighs mush together from his words, a small fire igniting in your lower stomach. “You’re more open today.” You mumble, chewing on the inside of your lips. Sukuna nods, “But, no. I’m not fucking you where I teach people about ASL.” As appealing as it may seem right now, you have some form of respect.
Kinda. And, you know, you don’t want your first time to be in a club room.
“Boring.” He leans in to kiss you but you turn your head away. He sighs, “Stop doing that.”
“I didn’t brush my teeth.” You abruptly say, face a bit hot with embarrassment. “You’re not kissing me when I know I haven’t brushed my teeth.” There’s a lot of things you’re not going to do knowing that you haven’t gotten ready for the day. Looking at Sukuna for too long with your makeup stained face, is one of them.
Sukuna lets out a long sigh, almost annoyed in a way. It makes you giggle. “I can bash your head into the wall.” Sukuna juts his thumb towards a wall, leaning back slightly. “Maybe that will give you amnesia, and you’d let me kiss you.” He smirks.
“Romantic, really, but no thank you.” You wrap your arms around his torso, “Next time a girl does something like that, shove her away, or say something like…” You think for a moment, “Uhm, I’m already with the love of my life, and you’re ugly.”
“You think you’re the love of my life?”
“It’s what’s on your phone, and we can’t argue with that.” You tilt your head, pressing your cheek on his chest.
Sukuna taps your head, dog-like in a way, “Yeah, no.” He looks to the side, “Besides, if I told a girl that, I wouldn’t get to see your jealous face.” He pinches your nose, “Wouldn’t be able to pass up a chance to see you glare at another girl for breathing in my direction. It’s cute.”
Sukuna’s response gives you mixed feelings, but you don’t try to dwindle on it for too long. “You make it sound like I’m jealous.” You mumble pulling away from his grip. “I’m not jealous, I don’t get jealous.” You lean  into his sweatshirt, closing your eyes and relaxing into his warm body. You’ve never noticed how warm Sukuna is, practically a human heater.
“You are.”
“I’m not.”
“Uh-huh.” He murmurs, and the fire in your stomach grows hotter. Dammit, why does he have to have such a sexy voice? It's not fair.
“Fine. Be like that.”
“I will. It’s not like you’re going to do–shit!” Sukuna yelps a bit, pulling away from you. “Fuck, your hands are fuckin’ freezing!” He shivers, but doesn’t shove you away when you move close again. “Do that shit again, and I will bash your head into a wall.”
“You’re so aggressive. We need to fix that.” You slide your hands under his sweatshirt again, and Sukuna flinches, but doesn’t pull away. “See, it’s not too bad.” You’re also using your cold hands as an excuse to touch Sukuna, as much as you wanted to yesterday, you couldn’t due to the positio…
You blink a few times, feeling your face grow hot.
“Yeah. Whatever.” Sukuna rolls his eyes, placing his weight on one of his legs. Watching as you cling to him like a child to their mother. He’s used to women clinging onto him, but he’s always found it bothersome, and annoying. Shoving them off, or verbally berating them, but with you… he doesn’t mind it… that much.
You softly sigh, shoving your nose into his shirt. His cologne floods your senses, toasty and dark. “Let's go already, I feel messy.” You groan, pulling away and running your hands through your tangled strands. “I feel dirty. Do you happen to have a brush in your car?”
“Why would I have a brush in my car?” Sukuna places his hands into his pockets, stopping himself from grabbing you again.
You play with a strand of your hair, “I don’t know. Aren’t you like?... I don’t know, a fuck boy.” You turn to the door, flipping the light switch off. “I would think girls leave stuff in your car to claim you, or something.”
Sukuna raises an eyebrow, “What makes you think that?” You pass him a knowing look, which makes him bite back a smile. “You’re stupid. I don’t go around fucking people.” He teases, “That shit is gross to me. It’s how you get diseases.”
“Uh-huh.” You roll your eyes, pushing open the door and flooding brief light into the dark place. “Sure. It’s not like you go to frat parties all the time. I wonder what you could possibly be doing there.”
“Having a girl suck my dick, is different from fuckin–”
“You know what? I don’t think I want to talk about this anymore.” You’re hurting your own feelings. “Whatever, I’m sure your body count is like–off the charts.”
Sukuna comes close to your side, his arm brushing against yours with every step he takes. “Three.” He whispers, and you don’t know if it’s him being soft for you, or if it’s the setting that’s making him whisper. “I’ve only been with three girls.”
You know for sure that one is the blonde girl, but who are the others? Is one his first girlfriend? But, they were only dating for a few months if you remember correctly. “Oh.” You look at him, blinking a bit dumbfounded. “Honestly. That's… way less than I thought it was going to be.”
“Yeah.” Sukuna places a hand on the back of his neck, before smirking to himself. “Aren’t you a virgin?” As much as Sukuna wanted to make fun of you when he first found out, he quickly realized it wasn’t the time and place for such. You were nervous, and a bit anxious, and that’s not how Sukuna wanted your first time with him to be. However, now, things are a bit different. “Loser.”
You feel your face turn hot. “I’m never letting you touch me again.” Sukuna shrugs, so you add, “I also want Mcdonalds.”
“Alright.”
“Can you get me cookies?”
“Will you finally kiss me?”
You smile, “If you get me what I usually get, a Mcflurry, and cookies, I’ll give you more than a kiss.”
Sukuna should already know how you wouldn’t let him kiss you, more or less let him look at you for too long, you were just bluffing. Hell, he went so far to get you Chick-fil-A in the hopes of you keeping your promise. Then again, Sukuna isn't all that upset, seeing your face light up when he pulled into the driveway is more than enough for him.
Suddenly, he feels something punch his shoulder, pulling his attention to you. Your eyebrows are furrowed, “Why didn’t you text me, or leave a note–or something–about how you were subbing for me?” You fume, “I thought you left me! And right after you–”
“I did.” Sukuna replies nonchalantly. “I texted, and left a note for you.” He laughs to himself, smirking a bit with pride. “In fact, I used the same sticky note from our study session to tell you.”
You blink a few times, “Did you?”
“Yeah.” He looks at your pockets, or… lack thereof. “Check your phone, I’m pretty sure you left me on read.”
“I…” You sheepishly look away, scratching the back of your neck, “I left my phone rushing to get to the library.”
“Of course. Why didn’t I expect that?”
“Hey!” You throw a tissue at him, “I can make mistakes, but you can’t expect me to make mistakes.” You dramatically bite into a fry, “If anything, you need to expect me to be nothing but perfect, okay?”
“Whatever.”
“Actually, if you let me eat your nugget ice, I’ll forgive you.” You pick up Sukuna’s drink, and shake it around, the ice inside softly splashing against the sides of the cup.
Sukuna raises one of his eyebrows, pointing at the cup. “You want… the ice?”
“Yes.” You say with full seriousness. “I love Chick-fil-A ice.”
Sukuna throws his hand up, mumbling, “Take everything else I have at this point.” He takes the cup away from you, and places it back in his cup holder. “I can’t even drink anything anymore.”
“You can have the drink.” You smile, “I just want the ice, besides, it’s not like you’re going to miss it or anything.”
“You’re…” Sukuna leans back in his chair, tilting his head back to look at the roof of his car. “I don’t think there are words in the English language to describe you.” He shakes his head, “No, I know what you are.”
“What?”
Sukuna passes you a sadistic grin, “Autistic.”
There’s silence again, and you don’t like it. “I think I’m going to cancel you.” You turn away from him, taking a bite of your food. “You’re done, Sukuna, you’re done.”
“Mhm.”
You let the silence simmer for a moment, before finally speaking again, “Hey, ‘Kuna?”
“Hm?” Sukuna bites into his sandwich. Again, in a very Sukuna like manner.
You pop a nugget into your mouth, chewing slowly, “I’ve been meaning to ask, but… why did you pick me to be your fake girlfriend?” You steal one of his fries, popping it into your mouth before he could object.
Sukuna scoffs at you, tilting his head to the side. “What do you mean?”
“Well, it was the blonde girl you were with when your Grandpa caught you, right?” You grab a strand of your hair, “My hair isn’t necessarily that color of blonde.” You’re more than sure that her color isn’t natural, it’s more dandelion yellow then a true blonde. Which you think is more than enough of a noticeable difference between your hair and hers. “Just… wouldn’t it make sense to ask her, the girl he caught you with, then me.” You laugh a bit, “I mean, have you seen my hair? We’re not an exact match.” You sarcastically add.
Sukuna thinks for a moment, before freezing, as if a sudden cold-chilling realization had fallen over him. He looks at you, his food, then back at you again, “Uh.” He mentally curses to himself, remembering the girl he had over. “It wasn’t… the blonde girl I had over.” He tells you.
You look away muttering, “Whore.”
“Lock your door tonight, I think I’m actually going to kill you in your sleep.” You laugh, taking a sip of your milkshake. “But, I didn’t have her over. I had some other girl over.” Sukuna’s eyes land on your hair for a moment, before he looks back at his food. “Don’t worry, your hair looked…” He hesitates before finishing, “Your hair looked identical to hers.”
You blink a few times, letting his sentence settle in your head. “Wait, wasn’t that before the project?” You tilt your head to the side, “Does that mean you called her over because she looked like–”
Sukuna shoves a fry in your mouth. “Eat your food.” He huffs, pulling out of the parking spot in the Chick-fil-A parking lot. “I swear, you talk to fuckin’ much.”
You hum, finishing the food. “Okay, meanie.” You pop another nugget in your mouth, looking at your reflection in the window. You like to think your hair is rather unique to yourself, hard to find something alike. You pass Sukuna a quick glance. Unless, he purposely asked a girl over who looked similar to you, because he…
You feel your eyes widen. Your lips parted ever so slightly, your face burning with embarrassment. Sukuna started like you… way before the project even happened. To the point where he invited some who looked similar to you over. That’s why Wasauke didn’t get suspicious when he first saw you.
Sukuna smirks to himself, “You’re starin’, lovely.” He notices you whisper something underneath your breath, “Said somethin’?”
You look away from him, munching on another fry. “Simp.”
His smile falls, “Get the fuck out the car.”
You burst into laughter.
・ 。゚☆:  *・ December 5th, 2023 ☽ .* :☆゚.
Thursday.
The curtains are pulled back, letting the strong light of the sun into the living room. The sound of a movie playing in the background, while a book laid a few inches in front of your face.
You’re dressed in simple wear, some pj shorts, and one of Sukuna’s shirts. It’s massive on you, covering your shorts and a good chunk of your thighs. Some fluffy socks bunched up at your ankles to keep your feet warm.
Sukuna’s thumbs press into the sole of your left foot resting on his lap, your free one kicking up and down slightly. He’s wearing something equally as laid back, some black sweats, and his shirt… Well, you know where his shirt is.
You’re resting on your stomach, your mind traveling in the world of literature. “Did you know that the most popular romance genre happens to be country?” You mindlessly say.
“Really?” Sukuna’s still looking at the TV.
“Mhm.” You flip a page in your book, “Anything with the word Texas, or some form of Texas love pulls readers to buy it.” You stop reading, looking over our shoulder. “Hypothetically, of course, if I bought you a cowboy hat, would you wear it?”
“No.”
You think for a moment, “What about cowboy boots?” You quickly imagine Sukuna in cowboy boots, wearing a white wife beater, a plaid flannel, and—of course—a cowboy hat. You’re practically drooling. You divert your eyes, mumbling, “That would be hot.”
Sukuna is almost as quick to answer, but pauses, thinking to himself. “Cowboy boots sound nice.” He props his arm on the arm rest, placing the weight of his cheek on his knuckles. “But, I’d never wear them. Not in the city at least.”
“You could wear them in the house.” You giggle, “It’d be something only for me to see.”
Sukuna bites the inside of his cheek, “Weirdo.”
“I’m not the weird one here.” You whisper, turning your attention back to your book. “From what I can recall, you were the one who masterbated to the thought of licking my–”
Sukuna grabs your pinkie toes, harshly pulling on it, gaining a small yelp from your throat. “None of that.” He scolds, “Always so sharp with your tongue.” He smirks, “That’s not the case when I was suckin’ on your–”
“You know what, I’ll shut up for once.” You roll your eyes, continuing to read. Luckily, the two of you had already completed all your classes for the day, and Sukuna skipped practice. Again. It’s a bad habit he’s starting to develop, and a part of you wonders if he’s only doing it to pass time, or to become an athlete.
Sukuna slaps your back, “I’m hungry.” He pushes himself off the couch, making you fall to the floor in the process. “Let’s go get somethin’ to eat.”
You lay on the floor, “Right. So glad you gave me a warning.” You soppily reach your hand over the couch cushions, grabbing a pillow, placing it under your head. “I mean, fuck my life, right?” You grab your book, continuing to read like nothing happened.
“Get your ass up.” Sukuna snatches the book from your hands, closing it and tossing it on the table behind him. “You’re comin’ with me, go get your ass ready.”
You groan, draping your forearm over your eyes. “But, I’m comfy, and I don’t want to leave the house.” You wave your hand in the direction of Yuuji’s room, “Tell Yuuji to go with you this time, I’m always going with you.”
Sukuna groans, “You’re so difficult, just go get ready.” He turns to his room, hearing you giggle behind him.
“Awh, if this is a date you’re asking me on, why didn’t you just say so sooner?” You tease, pushing yourself on your palms, and tilting your head at him.
Sukuna tenses, the tips of his ears turning bright red.
You blink a few times, a bit confused on why he reacted so dramatically to your joke, before you face flushes. “Oh my god! Wait, you’re actually asking me on a date?!” You scramble on your feet, almost falling as you make your way to Sukuna’s side.
Sukuna turns his face away from you, “Hell no.” His ears are still red, “I’d never want to go on a date with you.”
You pass him a curious look, smiling slightly. “Uh-huh. I’m sure.” You turn to face your room, “Same here, I’d never want to date someone like you, ‘Kuna. Gross.” You laugh again, lighter and lifting the room with bright energy, “I’m going to go get ready.”
“Shower.” Sukuna calls from behind your shoulder, “You stink.”
You like to think that the color pink is merely a coincidence, not something you picked because of Sukuna. Pfft, please, it’s not like your life revolved around him or anything, and you’ve always loved the color pink since childhood, so… yeah.
“Are you wearing pink to match with him?” Nobara asks, tilting her head to the side.
You feel your face flush, “No, I like the color pink.” You mumble, “Besides, Yuuji helped me pick out this dress, so—”
“Uh-huh. Sure.” Nobara blows on her nails, removing the small excess that came from filing them down. “I’m sure Sukuna will think the exact same things when he sees you’re wearing a dress that perfectly matches his hair.” She grabs a black sharpie marker, holding it up to the camera. “Hold up, let me just add some missing touches…”
“Nobara.” You whine, face a bit hot with frustration and embarrassment. “Does it look like I’m trying too hard? I don’t know what I should wear since I don’t even know if this is a date…”
”This is totally a date.” Nobara deadpans, “You two are totally a couple.”
That makes you blink, “Wait, is that true?” You place your hand over your mouth, whispering, “I mean, I’m sure he likes me, but I wouldn’t say we’re dating.” You turn to the side, looking at your door. “Like I said, I don’t even know—“
“Ugh, you’re so oblivious.” Nobara drops her head on her bed, groaning lightly. “How does everyone know, but you? This is so frustrating.” She pulls her head back up, “Call it a date, I want to hear you say it.”
You hesitate, but nod, “We’re going on a date.”
“Hell yeah you are.” Nobara gives you a thumbs up, nodding her head enthusiastically. “Now, remember to wear some cute matching underwear. He’s totally going to give it to you later tonight.” She smirks, “Rock your world, some would say.”
“Don’t say that.”
“I didn’t say that.” Nobara places her hand on her chest, “Some said that. Very clear difference.”
“I can’t with you.” You continue to do your makeup, before biting the side of your cheek. “Do you think the matching set should be pink?”
“That’s the spirit!”
—-
It isn’t long before you’re happy with your look. Your hair styled perfectly, makeup and lashes done, along with some cute intricate heels. They’re a bit dramatic, but cute nonetheless, and they were expensive, so you’re going to wear them like a badge of honor.
It makes you wonder why you don't wear heels more often? The last time you wore them it wasn’t bad at all. Took awhile to get used to walking in them, but after that you were good. They’re gorgeous, and make your legs look amazing.
Maybe you will start wearing them more often. They would be an amazing incorporation to your already cute outfits.
The dress you’re wearing is also incredibly cute. A skin tight tube top, while the bottom flared out with ruffles. A part of you thinks to grab a sweater, but it’s not like it’s going to be that cold, and it would ruin your outfit!
You grab your things and leave your room, glancing into Yuuji’s room considering the door is wide open. You smile, passing him a kind wave. “Hey, Yuu.”
Yuuji looks away from his phone, eyeing you up and down. There’s a subtle smile on his lips as he says, “A date?” He sits up, placing his phone down. “Did he finally ask you out on a date?”
You naturally want to say no, but you hesitate, a small smile splitting your lips. “Uh, yeah, he finally asked me on a date.” You push a strand of hair behind your ear.
“Good to know he finally grew some balls.” Yuuji pushes himself off his bed, “Sukuna’s lucky, too. You deserve so much better than my emotionally underdeveloped brother.” He rolls his eyes, before grabbing your hands. His expression is hard, “If he does something that upsets you, call me. I’ll fucking kill him for you.”
You blink a few times in shock. Is that the first time you’ve ever heard Yuuji cuss? You didn’t even know that was possible. You stutter out a laugh, before nodding your head enthusiastically. “Yeah, don’t worry Yuuji. I’ll totally call you if he starts acting up.”
Yuuji nods with determination, “Good.” He smiles again, his eyebrows soft again. “You look amazing, by the way. Absolutely stunning.”
You laugh, looking to the side. “Thanks Yuuji.” You look him up and down, “You look good too, are you going somewhere?”
Yuuji places his hand on the back of his neck, taking a few steps back from you. “Uh, yeah.” He fishes his phone out of his pocket, “A friend of mine from middle school asked to catch up. So, I want to look nice.”
You smirk, “Is this person a girl, by chance?”
Yuuji shakes his head, his face flushed. “It’s not like that.” His  eyes light up for a moment, “Wait, I have something for you.” Yuuji moves to his drawer, and fishes for a tiny box inside.
You tilt your head, taking a few steps closer. “A box?”
“Yeah.” Yuuji smiles, holding it out for you. “I got it for my ex-girlfriend forever ago, but you can have it.”
You feel your eye twitch. You don’t really know how to feel about that, but with the way Yuuji is smiling at you without a care in the world, you know he means it with pure intentions. “Uh, thanks Yuuji.” You grab it from him, removing the top and looking at the shining jewelry.
It’s gorgeous. A pair of matching earrings and a necklace perfectly held in the velvet padding. Silver and diamonds forming an intricate design that matches the earrings. Your lips part ever so slightly, “Yuu, this is…”
Yuuji nods to himself, “I know. I’m an awesome best friend.” He places a hand on your shoulder, a smug smile on his lips. “No need to thank me, I already know you’re thankful.”
You grab him in a hug, “Yeah, I don’t need to thank you.” You giggle into his shoulder, “But, thanks anyway.” You pull away, grabbing the earrings and putting them on, along with the matching necklace. “Does it look good?”
Yuuji nods his head, a soft smile on his lips. “It’s perfect.”
“Are you ready to go?” Sukuna brassly asks behind you, his forearm resting on the door frame of Yuuji’s door. “I’ve been waitin’ for… hours…”
You turn over your shoulder, your hair bouncing with life as you do so. You blink at him, your fake lashes fluttering. You pout slightly, pinching a strand of hair and rubbing it between your fingers, “I didn’t take that long.” You mutter sheepishly.
Sukuna pauses, his lips parting before closing. He looks to the side, “Whatever.” He bites the inside of his cheek, “It’s cold, go get a sweater.” Sukuna, unlike you, is wearing a sweater. A nice zip up to decorate his black clothing. His gold chain accentuated, while a matching gold ring rested on his ring finger. He looks nice, really nice.
“You’re not going to compliment her?” Yuuji places his elbow on your shoulder, resting a bit of his weight on you. “Actually, you don’t have to, I already did that for you.” He winks at Sukuna, passing him a smug smirk. “I got you.”
Sukuna bites the inside of his cheek, his eyes trained on Yuuji. “Did you?”
You nod enthusiastically, picking up on what Yuuji is doing. “Yeah!” You take a step forward, pushing your hair behind your shoulders to reveal the earrings he gave you. “And he also gave me these earrings! Aren’t they cute?”
Sukuna laughs through his teeth, “Adorable.”
You blink at him innocently, leaning forward to let the necklace dangle right in front of your cleavage. “He also gave me this necklace, isn’t it just lovely?” You place your hand over your heart, showing off the jewelry. “I think it’s the sweetest thing ever.”
”Go get a jacket.” Sukuna pushes himself off the door frame, “We’re getting somethin’ that isn’t hideous.” He scoffs, arms crossed over his chest. “Yuuji has horrible taste, let’s get you something nice.” He makes his way to the kitchen, leaving you and Yuuji alone in his room.
You turn, placing your hand on your hip. “No, my outfit would be ruined if I wore a jacket.” You pass Yuuji a quick smile and thumbs up, which is quickly returned by an equally enthusiastic Yuuji. “And I like what Yuuji gave me, it’s cute.” You follow after Sukuna.
“That shit is ugly.” Sukuna grabs his keys. “If your ass starts freezing, I’m just going to point and laugh at you.”
You roll your eyes, “Why am I choosing to leave with you?” Your heels click as you follow Sukuna into his car.
“Don’t know.” Sukuna smiles, opening the door for you. “Maybe you’re obsessed with me, or something.” He places his hand atop your head, patting it a few times. You sit in his car, not bothering to respond.
—-
Sukuna parks his car, with a soft beep, before reaching for the door. The car ride here was mostly silent, other than you asking some simple questions about where he’s taking you, and if he genuinely plans on murdering you today. Sukuna’s silence is normal, you’re used to it, but after you saw how Yuuji got under his skin, you sincerely think he might murder you today.
“We’re here.” He adds, before shutting the door behind him. You immediately go to open your door, but Sukuna locks the car with you inside, making your attempts feeble. You groan with annoyance, tilting your head to look at him through the window.
“Unlock the car.” You mumble.
Sukuna cups the back of his ear, smirking. You can see, and hear, him mouth, “What?”
You lean back in the car, and really contemplate; Is this the guy you like? Someone who is a little shit, and does everything in their power to get under your skin. You giggle to yourself, nodding your head. Hell yeah. You flash him an obvious fake smile, and clasp your hands together, “Please, open the door.”
Sukuna unlocks the car, opening the door for you, and you don’t know if he was being nice to you, or if he was genuinely trying to get under your skin. “Mh. Love when you say that.” He grabs your hand, and yanks you out of the car, slamming you against his body. “Oops, forget how clumsy you are sometimes.”
You shake your head, “And I forget how fuckin’ stupid you are sometimes.” You hear him shut the door behind you, locking the car again. “Why can’t you be a normal boyfriend, and just open the door for me like a gentleman?”
“So, I’m your boyfriend now?”
You feel your face flush, pushing Sukuna away from you, “Uh–I… that’s not what I meant.” You move forward, pushing your hair behind your shoulder, “I was just being hypothetical.” You huff.
Sukuna rolls his eyes with a knowing smirk, “Sure, doll.”
You cross your arms over your shoulders, small goosebumps erupting over your skin. “Ugh. I hate that nickname.” You immediately notice you’re in the parking lot of a mall. The biggest one in the city. You’ve only been here a few times, considering you’re more of a shopper, rather than window shopping person.
Sukuna walks right behind you, hand on the small of your back. “I hate you call me ‘Kuna.” He grimaces a bit, “That shit is so stupid.”
“That nickname isn’t going anywhere, anytime soon.” You pause, letting him come to your side and looping your arms over his right one. Sukuna doesn’t even flinch, nor does he pull away, if anything, he moves his arm to allow you to grab it better. You cling onto his warmth, “I think knowing that you hate it, make me like it even more.”
“I feel like the only reason you were born was to annoy me.” He pushes open the doors to the mall, and the bubbling sound of various conversations and mall music floods your ears. The smell of food and sweets entering your senses.
You wrinkle your nose, “Don’t say that. It makes it seem like we’re soulmates, or born for each other.” You shake your head, turning your head away from Sukuna so he can’t see the smile on your lips. “Gross. Imagine?”
“Fuck you, too.”
You giggle, squinting, as the sun from the skylight beams in your eyes. “You know, I’ve been wondering, why don’t you have a girlfriend?” You think of the blonde girl for a second, she makes you scowl. “Or, are you more into the casual hookups.”
Sukuna places his sunglasses over your eyes, they’re a bit big on you, but look nice nonetheless. “Relationships are… not for me.” He clicks his tongue, “I already told you about my last relationship, and it was…”
“Bad?” You push your hair from your face, making sure it looks good with the new added accessory. “But, wasn’t that back in highschool? Wouldn’t it be a good idea to give relationships a go since it’s your last year in college?” You laugh to yourself, “Unless you’re planning to die alone.”
Sukuna pinches your nose, “No, dumbass.” He naturally looks at the way you’re holding him, close and comfortable. “I just—I don’t think I was ready for a relationship. I had shit going on, the things I told you.”
“That’s oddly mature of you, ‘Kuna.” You let your head rest on his arm, “So, in other words, you were the problem?”
“I’m never the fuckin’ problem.” Sukuna laughs to himself, more cockily than anything. “But, enough about me. Tell me about you, virgin. Any middle school relationships?”
You narrow your eyes at him, “You keep calling me a virgin, and I will literally leave.”
“Sure.”
You look up, trying to think. “I mean, I had a crazy ex, but it didn’t last that long.”
Sukuna snickers to himself, ”I think you were the crazy one.”
“Oh yeah, I definitely was.” You shrug, “But, that’s a given.” You almost fall when Sukuna abruptly tugs you into a store, your heels clicking frantically behind him. “Sukuna! I’m in heels, you can’t pull me around like that.” You whine, but it doesn’t last when you look around the store. Observing the products for sale. Clothing, shoes, jewelry, and bags.
You blink a few times, trying to identify the clothing store by the layout, but find yourself coming out flat. Although, Sukuna seems to be more familiar with the layout, keeping you close to him as he leads you to the back of the store without a word. You notice the glass case, velvet decorators holding shining jewelry.
You push the sunglasses up to the crow of your head, “Wait, you weren’t joking about the—“
“Of course not.” Sukuna stops, pushing you in front of him, “I hate that you’re wearing somethin’ another man gave you.”
“That ‘other man’ is your brother, Sukuna.” Your eyes are trained on various necklaces, rings, and earrings, sparkling like diamonds–they are diamonds–in the light. “You shouldn’t think that way about your brother.” You lightly scold, but you don’t really mean it.
“Pick something.” Sukuna doesn’t bother to respond, “Anything you like, I’ll get it for you.”
You blink a few times, you don’t believe him. “You’re joking.”
“Do you want me to be?” Sukuna’s on his phone, doing god knows what. “Anything. And make sure you hurry up, before I change my mind.”
A lady dressed in a pencil skirt, and a white collared shirt makes her way to you, smiling kindly. “Is there anything you have in mind? Or, are we just browsing?” Her hair is pulled in a tight low bun, her bright blue eyes decorated with some cat-like glasses.
“She’s looking for somethin’ nice.” Sukuna says, phone pressed to his ear. “Anything you think would suit her?”
This feels so overwhelming, Sukuna’s buying you something, he’s actually going to buy you something. Is this why Yuuji was pointing out the necklace, did he know this was going to happen? “Uh…” You thickly swallow, pushing your hair behind your ear. “Uh—“
The lady nods her head, almost ignoring you. “Come here, child. I think I have something that will match your skin perfectly.” She starts walking to the right of the display, leading you to more bubbling jewelry. “Do the two of you have a price range by chance?”
You immediately open your mouth, wanting to say something along the lines of ‘anything cheap,’ but Sukuna places his hands over your ears, his phone snuggling held between his ear and shoulder. Sukuna says something to the lady, but it’s muffled and quick, and it’s returned with an enthusiastic head nod. He lets go of you, he bends down, his mouth near your ear as he whispers, “Pick out anything you like.” He takes a step back, patting your head, and speaking to the person on the phone.
You hesitate, but move close to the display, eyeing the array of colorful diamonds. You glance over your shoulder, eyeing Sukuna, before looking at the lady again. You lean in close, whispering, “What did he say?“
The woman glances at Sukuna, before reaching down and pulling out a rack of necklaces, along with matching earrings. “Which one do you like?” She grabs one of the necklaces, it’s simple, a silver chain, but the diamond is stunning. Wrapped in silver lining, and lined with smaller diamonds. “We also have some matching earrings, if you want to take a look at them.”
You laugh nervously, toying with the ends of your frilly dress. ”Oh, but that seems like a lot of money.” You glance at the matching earrings, “But, they are pretty. Maybe not for me, though…”
“Oh, sweetie, everything that’s covered in diamonds is made for women. The more the better.” She waves off with a playful smile, “I’m sure your fiance wouldn’t mind showering you in them, either.”
You feel your eyes widen, taking a small step back, “Oh, we’re not–”
“Of course not.” Sukuna pinches a strand of your hair, twisting the strand around his finger. “Anything for the wife, right?” The woman nods enthusiastically again.
You want to pass Sukuna an uncertain glance, but are unable to find the opportunity when the woman reveals a beautiful bracelet. One that calls to you far more than it should. “That one is… nice.”
You love it.
The woman nods, “That’s wonderful, do you want to see the matching set that comes with it?” She reaches down in the display again, revealing the matching jewelry. She holds it close to your skin, the necklace gleaming with little to no light. “I think it fits with you perfectly, maybe a nice set of nails to match?” She turns to Sukuna for his opinion.
You turn to look at him too, not for his opinion, but to gauge why she was asking for his opinion when you’re going to be the one wearing it. But, you're quickly shocked to see he’s already looking at you, “Well? What do you think?”
Your lips part, blinking your long lashes at him in a bit of shock. “I…” You look back at the jewelry near your skin. It’s lovely, it really is, but do you deserve to have it? How expensive is it? You look at Sukuna again, softly saying, “I really like it.”
Sukuna nods, placing his hand on your head. “We’ll take the set.”
The lady nods, collecting the things and placing them on a velvet tray. You feel bad, velvet alone means expensive. “Can I get a name?”
Your name leaves Sukuna lips with ease, and you can’t help but adore the way it sounds on his tongue. It feels a bit intimate, despite it being something as simple as your name, but hearing him say it… feels good.
You really like it.
You watch as she moves to the register, whispering, “Are you sure?”
Sukuna tilts his head to the side, narrowing his eyes to the side. “Yeah? What? Do you not think I can afford it?” He leans down, getting close in your face to whisper, “Do you really think I’m that poor?”
You huff, a small laugh leaving your lips. “Oh yeah, definitely.” You cross your arms over your chest sassily, “I’m scared my mere existence is too expensive to you.” You wave off.
Sukuna feels his eye twitch. “Oh really?”
You smile, nodding your head innocently, “Mhm.” You hum.
“Pick out somethin’ else.” Sukuna says, pushing you towards the clothing rack. “Anything.”
You almost trip over your footing again, the extra dangles of jewels connected to your heels jangling. “Stop with the pushing!” You whine, grabbing onto his wrist to stable yourself.
“If you fall, I’m going to laugh.” Sukuna mumbles behind you.
“Ah, yes, I’m so lucky to have you.” You whisper, but you turn your attention to the clothing racks. Dresses, and other articles of clothing decorating the hangers and shelves.
A dress catches your attention, and you instantly reach for the price tag, trying to check the price. Sukuna is quick to grab your wrist, stopping you from looking at the price. He grabs the dress, holding it to your body. Seeing if it would fit you.
“Don’t look at the price.” He tells you nonchalantly,  placing the dress on his forearm. He turns on his heel, walking towards the changing rooms, “Lets go try this on.”
You hesitate to follow, glancing at the other dresses and being tempted to check the price, but Sukuna’s words repeat in your head. It’s a choice you make, not at all influenced by Sukuna’s orders, but you decide not to check the price.
“Hurry your slow ass up.”
“I’m going slower just because you said that.”
—
The dressing room is small, but one of the nicest you’ve ever been in. The mirror is framed by bright LED lights, and the bench is covered in soft leather. The rack holds your empty hanger, the dress sticking to your body.
You glance at yourself in the mirror, struggling to zip up the dress up your back. A small, but frustrated, sigh leaving your glossy lips. “I hate zippers.” You let your hands drop down to your sides, sitting on the seat.
Sukuna knocks on the door, “You finished in there?” He places his forehead on the door, “You’re taking to fuckin’ long. Hurry your–”
You open the door abruptly, making Sukuna’s head meet straight with yours. You flinch, but immediately add, “I can’t zip it up.” You take a few steps back, a silent invitation for Sukuna to enter. “Can you help me?”
Sukuna scoffs, but you can see him trying to hide a smile. “Looks like you can’t do anything without me.” He steps inside, the door closing and locking automatically behind him. “What a lost baby you are.” He coos.
You roll your eyes, ignoring how your stomach flutters with his condescending tone. You must be going crazy, liking the way he talks to you? Yeah, you must be going crazy. “Just help me out, ‘Kuna.” You turn your back to him.
“Yeah.” Sukuna places his hand on your lower back, pinching the zipper to your dress. He thinks it’s cute, a small heart pendant that matches your skin perfectly. “This looks nice on you.” His mouth is near your ear, and you feel the dress tighten around your chest.
“You haven’t even looked at it.” You mumble back, placing a hand over your chest, “And, it’s like really tight on my chest.” You giggle, “I don’t think it fits.”
Sukuna looks at you over your shoulder, glancing at your reflection. “Looks good.” He murmurs, eyes drinking up how wonderful you look in your dress. “I like when things are off the shoulder… easy access.” He runs his lips over your shoulder, pressing kisses against your skin.
You shake your head, naturally leaning into Sukuna. “Can you…” You thickly swallow, a slow exhale leaving your lips, “Like not, for one second.” You feel your lashes flutter, “We’re in–”
“Public.” Sukuna finishes for you, “But, isn’t that what makes it fun? Knowing that we can get caught?” He lets his hands travel down your body, “Five minutes.” He presses another kiss into your shoulder, “Give me five minutes.” His tone is… desperate, almost begging in a way.
It makes your mind a bit hazy, turning to look at him. “One minute.” Your hands are on his shoulders, stabilizing yourself.
Sukuna kisses your forehead, smiling as he mumbles, “Three minutes.”
You narrow your eyes, tilting your head back and gritting out, “Thirty seconds.”
Sukuna obnoxiously sighs, slouching into himself, “Fine, one minute.” You giggle, lifting yourself on your tippy-toes and pressing your lips to his. Sukuna grabs your chin, pulling on your bottom lips to slide his tongue in your mouth, adoring the way your hands tighten around his shoulder.
You pull back, looking past his body. Sukuna naturally leans close again to kiss you, but you press your lips together. “I feel like we’re being loud.” You whisper, your face feeling hot. “Can you like… not–”
“Kiss you that loud?” Sukuna snorts, but that laugh is cut short when your palm presses over his mouth.
“Shh!” You shake your head, a small but embarrassed smile on your lips. “People are going to hear us.” You whisper, moving your hand from his mouth to the collar of his shirt. “Mostly you. I swear…”
“I’d fuck you here if you’d let me.” Sukuna says, his eyes half-lidded. “I’d do so much shit for you if you’d let me.” He kisses you again, and with his desire filled words, along with his skilled hands, you give in. Not bothered that someone can hear the sloppy kiss ensuing between the two of you.
Sukuna’s hands moving to your ass, then to the back of the dress. Unzipping it from your body and pulling it down your frame, the fabric pooling at your feet. You feel yourself gasp, eyes widening with realization. Holy shit, wait, you’re wearing–
Sukuna breaks away from you, and you’re tempted to press your hand over his eyes, but you keep them firmly on his shoulder. Diverting your eyes as he bluntly eyes your body, the way your lacy underwear hugs your hips, and your bra digs into your soft tits.
“Fuck.” Sukuna instantly kisses you again, grabbing your waist and pulling you alongside him, plopping you on top of his lap as he sits on the seat. “You’re so fuckin’ sexy.” He mumbles against your lips.
You giggle, moving your hands to pull at the straps of your bra. “Mhm? You like it?” You run your tongue over his bottom lip, pulling it between your teeth and softly sucking on it.
“Fuck yeah.” Sukuna pushing his hips into your pussy, “Don’t you feel it? Don’t you feel what you do to me?” He drops his head, kissing your neck and softly sucking on your skin, not hard enough to leave a mark, but enough to make your body shiver. “Can I see ‘em?” He’s begging, his tone a bit more high pitched, and the tips of his ears red.
His tone makes you dizzy, and you feel drunk of his words. You nod your head, your glossy bottom lip tucked between your teeth, and tug down the cups of your bra. Exposing your skin to Sukuna, and you can feel his dick twitch beneath you.
You whimper.
“Fuck yeah.” He groans, his hips twitching. “Fuck, I’ve wanted this for so long.” He wraps his lips around your nipple, his tongue circling around your sensitive nerves.
You slap your hand over your mouth, arching your back into Sukuna. He smirks, “What? You like it when I do this?” He whisper, his voice raspy and deep, “You like when you get me hard in public, wanting to fuck you so everyone in this fuckin’ store can hear how good I make you feel?”
“Why can’t you ever shut up.” You mumble back, rolling your hips into his dick. Straining uncomfortable against his Sukunas, a very visible dick print in his pants. “I swear, you always–”
“You wet?” He mumbles, running a long stipe from the bottom of your tit, to the top of your collar bone. “Your pussy a droolin’ mess right now, huh? Wet, and waiting to be stuffed with my fat cock?”
You feel your hips twitch, and you don’t mean to, you really don’t, but you nod. You look at him with your bright shiny eyes, hand clutching his chest, while you lean over for a kiss, nodding your head without a true thought other than Sukuna. “Please, I want you so bad, ‘Kuna.”
You can feel his cock twitching between your lips, thick and hard. You subtly suck on your bottom lip, it’s coated with Sukuna’s and your saliva. You thickly swallow, your pupils blown. You really just want him inside of you, you want to feel the head of his cock deep inside your throat, your tongue sliding around his girth. Or, his cock spliting you open and he rams his cock inside your pussy.
Your bottom lip wiggles, “Can I–can I…” You whimper, I want to suck his dick.
Sukuna feels his jaw tick, but before he can so much as skim his finger over your sensitive clit, someone knocks at the door. “Is everything fitting alright in there?” An associate.
Yet, Sukuna isn’t even given the chance to respond when you push your lips against him, ensuing a messy kiss between the two of you. His eyes practically rolling with how desperate and aggressive you’re being from a few words.
Fuck, you’re so… perfect.
You finally pull away, a catty smirk on your lips as you whisper against his lips, “I don’t like the dress.” You pick up your original dress, slipping it over your body. Sukuna’s still looking at you, “And, I’m hungry, can we wrap this up?”
Sukuna feels his eyes twitch–well, that’s not the only thing twitching–and scoffs at you. So, now you’re toying with him. Right. Sukuna takes a moment to regroup, before responding, “Yeah, we didn’t like the dress.”
There’s still a smug smile on your lips as you giggle at his almost dumbfounded expression, you move it close, swiping your thumb over his bottom lip. “You have a little something here.”
Sukuna bites the inside of his cheek, watching you turn away from him and slipping his hard erection into the waistband of his boxers. If you want to play that game, keep doing it. Fine, he’ll play along to this little game you’re seeming to pull.
Sukuna has never considered himself a masochist, but being around you is starting to feel like torture. A small ich in the back of his head which he can never scratch unless you're touching him, or begging him to touch you.
Maybe, just maybe, he likes you a bit more than he originally thought. Which… is saying something.
—
You reply to a text Nobara had sent you a while ago, ignoring the obvious way Sukuna seems… pent up, as he stands right next to you. You place your head on his shoulder, leaning your weight on him while your fingers tap diligently at your screen.
“Happy with yourself.” Sukuna mumbles underneath his breath.
“Mhm.” You turn off your phone, tucking it into his front pocket. “Very proud, actually.” You play with his fingers, toying with the gold ring decorating his ring finger. “You have really nice hands, by the way..” You slightly add.
Sukuna huffs, but it sounds more like a laugh rather than an annoyed sigh. He shakes his head as he turns away, “You’re so weird.”
“It’s me flirting with you.”
Sukuna scratching the back of his neck while mumbling, “No wonder you’re single.”
You slap his arm, “Heard that.”
“Didn’t say anything.”
“Mhm, sure.” You roll your eyes, following at Sukuna’s side as he moves to the cashier. And as much as you don’t want to, you’re looking at the monitor displaying the price of everything that is to be scanned.
Sukuna notices. In fact, he knew you would be aware and looking at the price.
The woman tilts her head with a smile, “Can I get a name?” Sukuna says your name again, which makes the woman dip her head under the counter, looking for your items. “Also, will you be using cash or credit with this purchase?”
“Credit.” Sukuna currently responds, but you can see him patting his pockets from the corner of your eye, his hand landing on your phone, and pulling it out. He curses underneath his breath, “Shit, I think I left my phone in the dressing room.” He raises his eyes to your face, placing a hand on your head, “Can you go grab it for me?”
You pout, but nod your head nonetheless.
Sukuna nods in approval, “That’s my girl.” He presses a kiss to the top of your head, “I’ll be waiting for you.” You hesitate to move, looking at the register, then back to the area of the dressing rooms. He taps your arm reassuringly, “C’mon, go grab it for me.”
You feel your heart flutter, but don’t let him see it, muttering a small, “Fine.” Before making your way to the dressing room. You enter the room the two of you were in not even a few minutes ago, glancing over the area and looking for his phone.
You can’t see it, which makes you huff in frustration. You’re rushing a bit, trying to see how much money Sukuna is wasting on you. Hopefully, you can actually pay him back a bit, maybe take him to an expensive dinner.
You move to the seat, glancing at the crack between the wall and the soft velvet. It isn’t there.
You drop to your knees, tilting your head to the side to see if it fell down on the floor. It isn’t there.
You look at the seat again, resting on your knees. It isn’t there.
You look around the room, seeing if it fell… anywhere else, but… it isn’t there. It isn’t here.
Did someone steal it? You furrow your eyebrows. Maybe, that’s how I can pay him back, by buying him a new phone. You probably need to get a job, again.
You leave the room, but not before passing it a final glance, hoping his phone would magically appear in the middle of the room. Unfortunately, it doesn't, so you’re forced to leave empty handed.
You’re thinking of ways to tell Sukuna he may need to return the things he just bought you in favor of a new phone, but your thoughts come to a halt. In fact, your whole body comes to a halt.
Your heart drops into the hole that opened up below you.
Just like Sukuna said, he’s waiting for you at the entrance. A small bag in his hands, stuffed with tissue paper, and his hand tucked into his pocket. But, standing next to him, is a blonde woman.
She’s saying something to him, but you can’t hear it. It could be the distance between the three of you, or the soft music the store is playing. It could be both, but you shake it off, pushing yourself forward.
She doesn’t scare you. Sukuna doesn’t even like her, he likes you, so you shouldn’t be worried or intimated. Sukuna starts saying something back to her, and much to your dismay, you only pick up on the last thing he tells her.
“–and you’re ugly, so.” Sukuna shrugs.
That makes you abruptly laugh, pulling the attention of both of them to you. You blink a few times in embarrassment, before waving a kind hello at her. “Hey, I remember you.” You giggle sweetly, “You’re the crazy… ‘ex,’ right?” You add air quotes.
Her eyes twitch, a promite scowl on her lips. “Oh, this tacky piece of–”
“Here.” Sukuna hands you the bag, “Don’t worry about her, she wouldn’t leave me alone.” You swear you can hear him mutter, ‘Annoyin’ ass bitch.’ Under his breath, before asking, “You ready to go eat?”
You smile, nodding your head, not passing the girl a second glance. “Yeah, I’ve been starving.” You loop your arms around his, resting your head on him. “Good to know. I can’t believe she’s trying to get back with you.” You flash her a smile when he pulls you away, adding a sweet, “Such a pathetic attempt to use, too.”
She’s dumbfounded, unsure of how to respond, but she doesn’t even get the chance to respond because the two of you are long gone. As much as Sukuna doesn’t want to talk about what happened, he knows you want to.
You tilt your head at him, slightly pulling away from him in favor of curling your fingers around his hand. “What did she want?”
“She wanted to hook up.”
“Oh.” You look away from him, “Well, what did you say?”
“Nothing that you wouldn’t be aware of.” He squeezes your hand, ignoring your confused look. “C’mon, use that pretty head. I’m sure you can figure out what that means.”
You pout, not bothering to dwindle on it for too long. “I thought you’re the type to like to make me jealous? Why didn’t you do that this time?”
Sukuna pinches your cheek, a bit hard. “You weren’t around.”
You close one of your eyes, pulling away from his touch. “What does that mean?” You use your free hand to rub the cheek he pinched, muttering a small, “Ow.”
“If you aren’t around to be jealous, then there isn’t any point to entertaining any other girl.” He rolls his eyes, scowling to himself. “Besides, she’s annoyin’ as hell.” Sukuna can feel your gaze on him, it’s cute, you look like you’re a bit flattered.
Sukuna rolls his eyes, grabbing his sunglasses from the top of your head and flipping them down over your eyes. It’s a bit of a separation. Separating him from what? He doesn’t know what exactly. “Don’t let it get to your head.”
You laugh to yourself, “Too late. Oh!” You tug on his hand, “I couldn’t find your phone, so… I think we may need to return what you bought me to get you a new one.”
Sukuna raises an eyebrow, a bit confused, before closing his eyes and subtly laughing to himself. “No, I don’t need to do that.” He looks straight again, “I–uh, It ended up being in my pocket the whole time, so don’t worry.”
“Oh.” You feel your eyes furrow, before opening your mouth again.
“We have reservations at six thirty, which means we still have little over an hour to burn.” Sukuna doesn’t even let you respond, “Anything you have in mind?”
“Not really.” You look around the mall, trying to think of something to take up time. Something that would take time, and isn’t necessary to spend money on. You come to a quick realization that nothing is possible without having to put down at least some form of payment.
Bummer. Maybe, you can pay for a karaoke room, or some credits at an arcade…
“Actually, I have an idea.”
You take a few steps away from Sukuna in caution, much like a cat backing away from a barking dog. “I don’t think I’m excited.”
Sukuna laughs, stuffing his hands into his pocket, “You shouldn’t be.”
Over an hour later, and a fresh set of french tip nails, you’re sitting across Sukuna in another fancy restaurant. The booth you’re sitting at is on the second story, and has an amazing view of the people walking outside below. You can see some clouds crowding over the sky, and can’t help but wonder if it’s going to rain.
You turn back to Sukuna, looking at your nails again. “I think I need to get my nails done more often.” You mumble, clearly admiring them with the bracelet and ring Sukuna bought you not too long ago.
You didn’t even know the set came with a ring, but you’re not complaining. It’s gorgeous. Easily one of the most valuable things you now own.
“D’you like it?” Sukuna asks nonchalantly, eyes also trained on your hands decorated with the fresh jewelry.
“Mhm.” You lower your hand, grabbing your drink. “It’s nice, Sukuna, I really like it.” You take a sip, and add a quick, “Thank you.” Almost embarrassed to say it aloud. Sukuna leans back his chair, hands resting in his lap. He doesn’t respond, nor does he give any indication to hearing what you just said. That makes you even more embarrassed, “Hey, asshole, I said thank you.” You huff, “Can you say something back?... Please?”
Sukuna tries to hide it, but you can see him fighting the start of a smile, “I heard you.” He grabs his drink, an alcoholic beverage of his choice, “I know you’re thankful, don’t need to tell me.” You pout, which makes him laugh, “Don’t hurt yourself, sweetheart, I know you can’t handle putting your ego aside.”
“Oh, you’re one to talk.” You bite back, “Last time I checked, our biggest argument was over you refusing to–”
“Don’t remind me.” Sukuna says, “Besides, I’m trying to mak–” He pauses, cutting himself off, before taking another sip of his drink.
You bite the side of your cheek, smiling to yourself. “Okay.” You play with your shoes, your feet toying with your heels. “Do you like my nails?” You flip them to him, it’s your third time asking this question, but you like his response.
“I already told you what I think about your nails.”
You flaunt your fingers, “I want to hear it again.”
“Yes. They’re nice.” Sukuna grabs your hand, rubbing his thumb over the back of your palm. Your stomach flutters from it, it feels so… loving. A single act done between two lovers, and a part of you craves more of it. “I can get them for you more often, if you like them.”
“It’s weird seeing you like this.” You softly say, pulling your hand back and resting it in your lap. “I feel like you’re going to poison my food, or something.”
Sukuna rolls his eyes, jutting a thumb in a normal direction. “Yeah, let me just sneak into the kitchen.”
You nod, an eager smile growing on your lips. “Let me come with you, maybe we can recreate the Lady Gaga music video from Telephone.” You point an accusing finger at Sukuna, “Wait, only if you let me be beyonce–no, I want to be Lady Gaga.” You look to the side, thinking again, “No, I’m a liar, Beyonce.”
Sukuna snorts, resting his head on the palm of his hand. “You’re so weird.” He mumbles, before quickly correcting it to, “You’re so different.”
You feel your expression fall, eyes narrowed at him. “Wow. Thanks.”
“I’m not insulting you.” He takes his drink in his hand, swirling the liquid in the cup. “Just… stating an observation.” His full attention is on you, and it feels a bit overwhelming.
You laugh, feeling a bit tense, and joking, “Is that why you like me?”
“I don’t…” Sukuna pauses, diverting his eyes from you, before looking away, “Nevermind.” He mumbles into his palm, “I’m just saying it’s… I don’t know, relaxing? Doesn't feel like you’re being fake.”
“Why would I be?” You tilt your head to the side, “I mean, sure, I wasn’t your biggest fan when we first met, but I didn’t… completely hate you.” You lean forward, supporting your head with the back of your hand underneath your chin. “It was like, seventy-six percent.” You’re smiling.
Sukuna laughs a little bit, “I didn’t completely hate you either.” He pretends to think, “It was… ninety seven percent.”
“I’m changing my answer. It was ninety-nine percent.” You shake your head, “But, uhm, yeah. I don’t know, you were annoying, but I always sort of… liked you, in a weird way.”
Sukuna gives you a boyish look, “Yeah?”
You look at him, a soft expression on your face. Content. “Yeah.” You play with your bracelet, running the tip of your fingers over the gems. “Is this your way of calling me special?”
“Not at all.” Sukuna watches as your eyebrows furrow, you’re always so expressive. “I’m insulting you, actually.”
“Such a lover boy.” You sarcastically add, but your attention is drawn away from him when your phone vibrates. You’re tempted to look at it, but you know it’s rude to–
“The blonde girl texted me.” Sukuna softly says, a very clear bothered expression on his face. “I can’t believe she got another number.”
You furrow your eyebrows, glaring at him. “You know, it’s considered rude when you’re on your phone during a date, ‘Kuna.” You’re tempted to snatch the phone away from him. You don’t know if it’s because you’re jealous, or upset he’s on his phone during your dat…
You feel the color from your face drain. Wait. You didn’t say that. You didn’t just say that to Sukuna’s face. You pull your bottom lip between your teeth, searching for Sukuna’s expression. But, there’s nothing, not any form of emotion or indication to disagreement–or agreement–to what you just said.
“Yeah, but I’m not actually on it.” Sukuna says, “I’m just checking a notification.”
Is he… agreeing with you? Does this mean that this really is a date? Telling Nobara and Yuuj is one thing. But, having Sukuna blatantly agree with you, is a completely different thing.
You cross one foot over the other, trying to look at his screen, but he puts his phone face down on the table. “What did she say?”
Sukuna slides his phone to you, “Check.”
You nod, grabbing the phone and pulling it into your lap. “You know, I thought you would be more secretive with your phone.” You flip it right side up, clicking the unopened text message, quickly putting in Sukuna’s password which you happened to remember.
“Nah. I don’t really have anything on my phone I would want to hide.” Sukuna leans his head back, “Well, nothing from you at least. Maybe from Uraume or Yuu, though.”
“I thought Uraume knew everything about you.” You open the message, cringing at the abrasive text about you.
“They do.” Sukuna nods to himself, “They know how I like my food, and what happened when I was younger, but that’s… all.”
“Hm.” You turn off the phone again, “Apparently I’m a… ‘selfish bitch,’ who… ‘can’t keep my hands off what doesn’t belong to me.’” You scoff, “Are you cheating on me, ‘Kuna? Or, did I really snatch you away from this girl?”
Sukuna shakes his head, “Gross. Don’t even fuckin’ joke about that.” He sighs, rubbing his temples. “I can’t believe I let her over.”
You furrow your eyebrows in thought, wait a minute… “Wait, what’s her name?” You laugh to yourself, feeling almost a tiny bit bad. “I just realized, this whole time I’ve known her, I don’t even know her name.”
“She knows your name.” Sukuna says without a thought, “She wouldn’t stop talking about you when she was over for a project.” You hear him mumble, “It’s actually sad how obsessed she is with you.”
“Maybe, I should go date her then.” You joke, taking a sip of your drink. “It honestly seems that she likes me more than you do.”
“You think so?”
“You just said she’s obsessed with me.” You mutter, twirling your straw. “I need the person who likes me, to be absolutely obsessed with me, ‘Kuna. They shouldn’t be able to function without me.”
Sukuna gives you a half smile, “Yeah?”
“If you like me, why aren’t you obsessed with me?” You tear your gaze away from Sukuna when your waiter comes to your side with your food, sliding a plate of your favorite steak.
“Maybe, I am.”
You snap your head up, “Wait, what did you say?”
Sukuna shakes his head, passing you a confused look. “Nothing.” He silently thanks the waiter with a head nod, “What did you say?”
You roll your eyes, “I hate–” Sukuna raises his eyebrows. “Ugh, nevermind.” You wave it off, “But, seriously, what’s her name?” You pick up your fork and knife, “I just realized I’ve been beefing with a girl I don’t even know the name of.”
Sukuna parts his lips, but then looks to the side, scratching his chin in thought. “Actually…” He hides a smile, cutting a piece of steak and placing it in his mouth. “I don’t… know.”
“You slept with someone you don’t even know the name of?” You gawk, cutting into your meat in a similar manner. “Jesus, Sukuna, I didn’t think of you like that.” You tease.
“I’m sure I did when… ugh…” He shakes his head in disgust, “I can’t remember it.” He shrugs, “Who cares. She’s the past.”
You hum thoughtfully, “What’s my name?”
Sukuna doesn't even look at you when your name leaves his mouth, quick and without a second thought. In fact, it comes so naturally to him, he doesn’t even stop from cutting into his food. “Why?”
Knowing that he knows your name, and can’t even remember the other girl… That makes you feel good. There’s a subtle smile growing on your lips, and Sukuna notices it.
You take a fry from his plate, “Tell me more about you, ‘Kuna.” You scoot closer to him,
“You know more about me then I know about you.” He leans back, “Why don’t you tell me somethin’ about you instead.”
You raise an eyebrow, “I thought I talked too much?”
Sukuna laughs, and it’s genuine. “You do.”
“Hypocrite.” You point at him with your fork, “You’re setting me up for failure here.”
“I don’t mind you talking.” Sukuna says, “You just… never stop talking.”
“You’re making me insecure.” You look at your food, “You’re supposed to not make me insecure.”
Sukuna tilts his head, “I thought I was obsessed with you?”
“…You are.” Your voice waivers.
“Then, don’t get in your head.” Sukuna shrugs.
You don’t say anything for a moment, before slowly saying, “I still think you’re setting me up for failure.” You shake your head, “No, delusion is the better word here.” And you’re not even talking to Nobara, someone who agrees with you no matter how crazy.
“You are delusional.”
I’m very delusional, but you don’t tell Sukuna that. “You know, for agreeing with me all the time, you’re never right.” You sigh, pushing your hair out of your face. “But, what do you want to know about me?”
“Why’d you put up with me for so long?” Sukuna says underneath his breath, but quickly adds, “Why did you decide to become president of the ASL club? You’re not–completely–deaf.”
“Not everyone who learns ASL is deaf, ‘Kuna. I’m sure you saying that has to be some sort of… I don’t know, hate crime or something.” You laugh to yourself, ignoring Sukuna’s eye roll, before continuing, “Uh, but, I started learning about it because of my mom. You push a vegetable on your plate with your fork.
Sukuna nods his head, “You’re also learning about Kinesiology because of your family, right? Tryin’ to become a physical therapist.”
You almost forget why, and how Sukuna knows that, but your mind travels to the dinner you shared with his grandpa. “Yes.” You play with your bracelet, “I mean, what I told you grandpa was true, somewhat.”
“Somewhat?”
“I didn’t tell him… everything.” You pop the base of your heel off your foot, “Sorry…”
Sukuna shrugs, “Don’t apologize, that shit gets annoying. Not everything is somethin’ you need to apologize for.” He rolls his eyes, “In fact, my old man should be apologizing, tryin’ to get up in your personal life. So annoying.”
You shake your head, “Well, uh… I want to become a physical therapist because of my mom.” The restaurant feels silent, the only thing you can hear is your mom’s voice in the back of your head. “I've wanted to become one since middle school.”
Sukuna doesn’t say anything for a minute, which you appreciate. He’s giving you time to regroup. “You don’t like talking about your family.” Sukuna’s full attention is on you, “Did something happen between you?”
“No.” You bit the corner of your lip, eyes fluttering slightly. “I… love my family, more than anything.” You don’t know how you feel about Sukuna asking you so many questions, but… knowing that he wants to get to you, makes you feel a pocket-size amount of happiness.
Sukuna grabs the vegetable from your plate, and pops it into his mouth. “Why didn’t you move in with them?”
You’re sure the question isn’t meant to be mean, so you don’t let it get to you. “They live in a different state. So, it would be a bit impossible.” You laugh, “I actually visited them the week before I moved in with you.”
Sukuna nods, “Yeah? How’d that go?”
“I–” You squeeze into yourself, “Did I ever tell you why I started learning ASL?”
“I’m assuming it's also the same reason you’re becoming a physical therapist.”
You laugh, nodding your head. “Yeah. My… uh, my mom has been struggling…” You take a deep breath, “I feel bad, I feel like telling you this is going to ruin the mood.”
“Probably.”
“You’re not helping!” You turn away, but fight off a smile. You sigh, before looking at your food, “Well, uh, I’ve wanted to become one since middle school, since that’s when my mother first started… uhm, experiencing seizures.”
Sukuna seems taken aback by this, his eyebrows furrowing ever so slightly. “Really?” He takes a sip of his drink, “Do you know the reason?” His tone is… different. It’s more distinguishable than it’s ever been before. No–that’s a lie. It sounds exactly how he did when telling you about his past. He sounds…vulnerable.
“Uh, we don’t know exactly, but we think it may be some form of epilepsy.” You smile to yourself, and it’s a way to comfort the twisting feeling in your stomach. “I was–I was home the first time it happened, back in middle school.” You reach over and steal another fry from his plate. “I didn’t know what to do when it happened.”
“I’m sure no one would at your age.” He places another fry on your plate, “Sounds terrifying.”
You nod your head meekly, “Yeah, it was.” You thickly swallow, “But, uhm… I’m fine–it’s fine now.” You tap your foot on the ground, “Well, I mean, she still deals with seizures, but it’s way less frequent.” You awkwardly laugh to yourself, “I—they’re still scary, and rare, but I know how to handle them as an adult.” Even if you need to come home for a short amount of time to make sure, without a questionable doubt, your mom is indeed okay, and not going to leave you forever.
“I couldn’t imagine.” Sukuna says, his features soft.
“Yeah, uhm, but…” You push your hair out of your face, shaking your head slightly. “My dad was home that day, thank god, and ended up taking her to the hospital. I couldn’t come, but waiting in the house for them to come back… honestly I wish he would’ve just taken me with him.” You half smile, “It was horrible.”
You can remember the thoughts rushing through your head like the event happened yesterday. How much you blame yourself, and how mad you were for not doing anything, even though there was nothing you could do. You thought that your mother would abandon you for not helping, or disown you for standing a few feet away from her with tears streaming down your cheeks. Not only that, but you thought she was never going to come back from the hospital. You thought that was going to be the last time you saw her.
You press your lips together, feeling them wiggle ever so slightly.
“She came back.” There’s something somber in Sukuna’s tone, but you wouldn’t be able to pick it up with any form of expression on his face. Part of you wonders if it hurts Sukuna to hear you talk about your family, or anything related to closeness.
“Yeah.” You nod softly, “She came back.”
Sukuna lets out a breath.
“But, she was different.” You move your hand to your face, cupping your jaw delicately. “She looked different. She wasn't my mom. Or, so I originally thought.” You thickly swallow, hand still rubbing your face. “I grew up with a mom who would quirk her face in the most interesting way to the littlest things. Her smile–god…” You smile to yourself, “Her smile could light up a room, Sukuna, I adored it more than anything.”
“You’re like that.” Sukuna says without a thought, “It’s really funny. You’re very expressive.” He rests his head on the back of his hand, “I’m sure you took that from your mother.”
You beam, “Thanks.” You push your meat around on your plate, “But, in my younger twelve year old mind, I thought she was a different person. She wasn’t… mom.” You gesture your hand to your face, “She couldn’t–she couldn’t move her face, and it seemed… heavy.” You narrow your eyes, “It weighed down.”
Sukuna nods.
“Turns out the seizure ended up paralyzing her face.” You place your weight on your side, “She couldn’t really move anymore–I mean, obviously, but… it was weird, you know? Seeing someone so expressive not be able to move their face?”
Sukuna can imagine that. He experienced it with his brother, after their argument. He went from a bubbling boy, to someone who couldn't so much as crack a polite smile. “Yeah, I understand.”
“Not only that, but she couldn’t talk anymore. I mean–she could, but it wasn’t the same. It was hard, and… muffled. It was painful.” You play with the ends of your hair, “So, my dad would always put aside some time to massage her temples, jaw, anything that was uncomfortable.” You nod to yourself, “And, like I said, she could talk, but she was… she wasn’t comfortable talking.” You’re mom only expressed her embarrassment to speak due to her paralysis when you were in highschool, and it broke your heart.
It’s your mom.
“So, she wanted to learn a different way to communicate with people. One that didn’t, you know…” You point at your lips, “Involve mouths. So, that was my introduction into ASL.” You look outside, watching people pass you by. “I mean, it’s fascinating, no? A universal way of communicating.”
“You work with children that are deaf, too.” Sukuna says, trying to learn more information.
“Oh, absolutely.” You beam, “I love children, and while I’m thankfully my mom isn’t deaf, many people are. So, if I already knew the language, why not honor it in some way of giving back to the community.” You look away, a bit sheepishly, “It sounds like I’m boasting, but I’m not… I’m just… incredibly thankful. I want to… pay my respects, I guess.”
Sukuna doesn’t take his eyes off you, if anything, from a stranger's perspective, it would look as if he’s admiring you right now. “Why’s that?”
“Well, like I said, my mom seemed different, but she wasn’t.” You move your hands to the seat, “She’s always been the same person, but she found a different way to be expressive. A different way to be herself.” You move your hands to hug yourself, a content expression on your face. “She found a different way to love me. Even if it was silent.”
“You’re…” He looks to the side, “You’re a good person, you’re better than me.” He places his utensils down. You didn’t even notice he finished his food, shit, you should really hurry up and finish yours now. “It’s admirable. No wonder you and Yuuji get along so well.”
“I love Yuuji.” You mutter with fondness, “But, yeah, that’s why I wanted to help teach people how to speak in a universal way. So, everyone can communicate and express themselves. No matter what their language, or situation is.” You laugh to yourself, making a mouth with your hand, “Sometimes, words are some of the hardest things to express, you know?”
Sukuna sighs, nodding his head with exasperation, “Oh, I know.” He lightly kicks you under the table, it doesn’t hurt, but it’s clear he’s messing with you. “I mean, that’s why you were mad at me for a week. Just because you couldn’t say you had a thing for me.”
“I didn’t—“ You huff, taking a final bite of your food, and pushing your plate away. “I think you’re going crazy, absolutely insane.” You shake your head, “But, yeah, that’s the “tragic” story behind my life. I’m not too mentally unstable.”
Sukuna nods, “I’m sure.” He looks to the side for a moment, “But, I’m… It’s good to know more about you now.” He doesn’t know how to phrase what he wants to say, but from the humble look on your face, he’s thankful you understand.
You lean back, patting your stomach, “But, I’m full.” You mumble, melting into your seat. “I’m dying to take a nap, or walk around or something.” Your eyes widen with excitement, “Oh my god, what if we went to a trampoline park? I can do some amazing flips.” You boast.
“I’ll get the check.” Sukuna looks to the side, peering past the seat of your side of the booth. “Should I take some dessert to go? Maybe you’ll get hungry after all the jumping.”
You immediately want to say yes, but you already don’t feel good with how much money he’s spending on you, so you say, “It’s okay, I’m already full.” You stretch dramatically, “I think I’ll be good to be honest, if anything I can just buy some snacks from a convenience store or something.”
“If that’s what you want.” Sukuna dismisses, trying to ignore the voice barking in the back of his head who noticed you eyeing the cookie cake.
You nod, also looking to the side to see if you could spot a server, and when you do, an idea pops into the back of your head. Not only that, but you also pop your heel off your right foot. “Oh.” You point behind Sukuna, “I see our waiter, want me to flag him over?”
“No. It’s fine.” Sukuna turns over his shoulder, making clear eye contact with the male. You take this time to scoot closer to the table, lifting your foot. You can’t help but smile at the waiter when he comes over, batting your eyelashes innocently at him.
Sukuna thinks it’s a bit odd, but doesn’t dwindle on it for too long. “Uh, we’re ready for…” He pauses for a second, before, “Actually, I was hoping if we could take the cookie cake to go?”
A part of you now feels bad for what you’re about to do, but you’re already dedicated to the bit, and can’t back down now. Sorry Sukuna.
The waiter nods, “Of course, I can add that to your bill here.”
Sukuna nods, “Yeah, that would be–” He stills, almost stumbling over his words, but he catches himself. His eyes landed on you, before nodding his head, “Uh, yes, please do that.” You slide your foot further up his leg, resting it comfortably on his knee.
The waiter nods again, this time a beaming smile on his lips. “Of course.” He points in the direction of the kitchen, “Do you also want me to get you a to-go box? Pack everything you didn’t finish?”
Sukuna thickly swallows, feeling the pressure slowly trail up into his inner thigh. Before resting right over his crotch, applying an amount of pressure that accidentally makes his eye flutter. He shakes his head, “No, we’re–we finished everything, it’s okay.” He lowers his hand, gripping your ankle with a fair amount of pressure. “Get the check.”
The waiter seems a bit put off by Sukuna’s abruptness, but doesn’t dwindle on it for too long. He merely nods again, “I’ll go get your cake, and the check.” Then, he’s off again, leaving you and Sukuna alone in the booth.
Sukuna’s glaring at you, and you’re trying to hide a smile. You finally look at him, batting your eyelashes innocently, “What? Is somethin’ wrong?” You wiggle your foot in his grasp, his finger ever so slightly slipping underneath your sock.
“I’ll kill you.” Sukuna says, “No, that’s a lie.” He lets his other hand trail over your calf, running the tips of his fingers over your shin. “If you want to play dirty, I’ll make it filthy.” He lets his fingers trail further down your leg, and goosebumps emerge from your skin.
It feels good.
You thickly swallow, subconsciously scooting closer to the table in an attempt to get Sukuna to touch more of you. “Really?” You hum, fluttering your lashes at him, and Sukuna must be a saint from how much self control he has. “I think I play nice for you, ‘Kuna.”
Sukuna feels his fingers twitch around you, along with something else not too far away from that. If it were up to him–if you would let him–he would fuck you right here on the table. “Yeah.” He whispers, leaning closer to the table and adding, “You want me to fuck you here? Make your little clit all red and sensitive? Nothin' but sweet thoughts about how good I’m making you feel?”
You hate–love–what his words do to you. “Maybe…” You mumble, eyes almost rolling at that thought of Sukuna–
“Too bad.” Sukuna quickly pulls your foot, making you almost fall underneath the table. Your forearms resting on the seat, while your lower body completely under the wood, your foot and calf now perfectly resting in his lap.
Which, consequently, is exactly when your waiter decided to come back with the cookie cake and the bill. You make eye contact with him, your body below the chest hidden by the table. You pass him an awkward smile, trying to pull yourself back up, but due to Sukuna’s firm gaps, you’re positively stuck.
The waiter places the bill on the table, along with the cutely packaged cookie cake. “Uh, are you–uh, are you okay?” He tilts his head, “Should I call for–”
“She’s fine.” Sukuna takes the bill with his free hand, “This is actually an intervention, and she’s just relapsing.”
Your jaw drops, but you quickly rebut with, “Says the one who was shooting cocaine off my ass before we entered!” You turn to the waiter, “You should’ve seen it, it was a long line, too.”
Sukuna’s smiling, shaking his head while handing the server a hearty amount of money. “Keep the change.” He pushes your foot off him, sliding off the booth.
You giggle, shimming your foot into your heel and quickly following after him, but not before adding, “You might want to wash those.” You pass the waiter a playful wink, before grabbing onto Sukuna’s arm. You can hear Sukuna laughing besides you, pushing the door open for the two of you. “I hope you tipped him well.” You shiver from the cold air biting at your skin.
“I did, don’t worry.” Sukuna shakes his head with a final smile, “Besides, I’m pretty sure those were my coke dollars.”
You feel your eyes widen, “You’re joking.”
Sukuna pinches your nose, “Of course I am.”
You let out a breath of relief, “I was about to say.” You glance back at the restaurant, “We might’ve actually re-created the Telephone video by accident.”
“Oh yeah, with a few coke dollars.” Sukuna sarcastically adds, “Sure, might as well start dancing right now.” He pulls out his phone, flashing the camera on you.
“Telephone!” You make a phone with your hand, smiling into the camera. But, your smile falls, your eyes shrinking from the bright light. “I can’t believe you record with flash.” You lean in close to his camera, your eyes practically touching it, “You’re really weird.”
“Says the one yelling ‘telephone,’ like an idiot.” Sukuna laughs at how the camera distorts your face from so close, “I’m sending this to Yuuji, he’s going to laugh at you.” He stops filming, and it takes you a moment to readjust to the lack of light.
“He’s going to love it.” You giggle, “If anything, Yuuji is going to be rushing to come join me.”
“He would always fiend over Just Dance.” Sukuna groans, rolling his eyes discreetly, “It was the one video game I could never beat him at.”
“Wait, we have Just Dance at the house?” You narrow your eyes at Sukuna, poking his arm, “The fact you haven’t told me about this until now has to be a crime.”
“I'll get your own Just Dance.”
You giggle, resting your head on his bicep, “You get it Sukuna.” You look around, blinking innocently. “But, are we going home now? We’ve been out for some time now.” You can’t deny how your feet are starting to ache from your heels. It’s not too bad, but it’s noticeable. .
“Still got one more thing to do.”
You softly sigh, slouching into yourself, “Okay.”
The sound of distant Christmas music is playing, accompanied by the decorations of the building with Christmas lights. “I didn’t know the city did this.” You feel breathless, glancing over the lights decorating the town. “Maybe I need to get out of the house more…”
“Every year when it’s December.” Sukuna leans on the wall behind you, letting you admire the center plaza of the city. The massive tree decorated with Christmas lights, and a massive golden star at the top. “People come together and put ornaments on the tree.”
You snap your head to look at Sukuna over your shoulder, “And we don’t have one?!” You narrow your eyes to him, “People are totally going to be judging us now that we don’t have something to put on the tree.”
“You can buy something to put on the tree.” Sukuna points to a small building not too far from you, “There’s a small business that allows you to pick out little ornaments to put on the three.”
“That’s so cute!” You grab his arm, “We should do that!” Before Sukuna can respond, you’re pulling his hand behind you to the small store. But, you stop, “Actually, you wait here, I’ll pick something out.”
Sukuna furrows his eyebrows, “But–”
“Trust me.” You point at him sternly, “Don’t follow me.” You don’t need him paying for anything else.
Sukuna shoves his hands into his pockets, your small shopping bag resting right at his wrist. “Bossy.”
You’re quick to glance over the ornaments, trying to pick out something fast to not leave Sukuna waiting for too long. You can feel the dread of remembering what happened last time creeping up the back of your head.
“Hot men can’t be left alone too long.” You mumble to yourself, softly cupping an ornament with a pink cat. It makes you laugh. Unlike Yuuji, Sukuna wasn’t at all puppy like, cat like would be the better way to describe him. No, this cat ornament is the best way to describe Sukuna.
You’re quick to pick it out, pay for it, and bring it back to Sukuna. Practically skipping to him with the ‘thank you for buying,’bag in your hands. “I got something!”
Sukuna nods, “I would hope so.” He watches as you open the bag, pulling out the ornament. It almost makes him crack a smile, but he keeps his composure. “Should I ask why you bought that one?”
“It’d make you a good boyfriend.” You lift it to his face.
Sukuna turns his head away from you, “I’m not asking anymore.”
“I’m so glad you asked!” You bring it to your face, pressing it right next to your cheek. “I got it because it’s literally you.” You look at it again, “Just way cuter.” Sukuna makes a face, but you're tugging him along again. “Put it on the tree, then we can take a picture of it together.”
Sukuna doesn’t say anything, just watches as you scurry to the tree and pick out a place–no, you don’t like that place, it’s too close to an ugly ornament, you actually want the space three ornaments away from it. You glance back at him, “You sure you want that place?”
“Yes.” You point at it again, “Don’t ask too many questions, I’m indecisive.”
Sukuna laughs, grabs the ornament from your hand and places it on the tree. “Is that good?” He moves to the side ever so slightly, letting you look at the placement. But, he mumbles underneath his breath, “It better be.”
You nod, “Yes. It’s good.” You poke his chest, “Jerk.”
“I’ll hang you on the tree as an ornament.” He grabs your waist, and picks you up. “Don’t move.”
You shake your head, smiling with a giggle, placing your hands on his shoulders, “Wait, you going make me flash someone Sukuna, put me back down.” You wiggle your feet back and forth, your heels slowly peeling off your feet.
“Good.”
You wrap your arms around his neck, bringing him into a hug, “Wait, before you put me up, we have to take a picture.” Sukuna gently places you back on the ground, which you think is rather out of character for him. Still, you flinch from the contact, the pressure being put back on your sensitive feet.
Okay, now you remember exactly why you’re a Converse girly. You’re starting to find the pain to be a bit unbearable.
“Picture.” He mumbles, reaching for his back pocket. “I’d rather be caught dead than in a picture with you.” He shakes his phone, before placing it in your hands.
“If you’re going to bitch about it, just give me my phone.” You mumble, crossing your arms over your chest. “I swear, you make it so hard for me to want to be with you.”
“It’s not hard.” Sukuna leans down, grabbing your wrist and lifting his phone with your hand. “You just make it hard.”
You flip to the camera, angling it so the picture would get both of you. “Good thing we’re never going to be together.” You press your cheek against his, turning your head ever so slightly so your lips are touching his cheek. “Ever.”
And, for some goddamn reason, Sukuna can’t help but crack a small smile at that. Just in time for you to snap the picture.
“See, that wasn’t at all bad.” You lower the phone and click on the picture, “I literally look so cute too.” Which you can’t help but thank god about, usually you don’t even like the way you look in facetime calls. “And… I guess you look okay.”
“Back on the tree.” He goes to pick you up again.
“Stop, you're going to make me drop the phone!” You try pulling away from him. Yet, you take a small mental note about how easy it is for Sukuna to move you around, lifting and pulling you with ease.
“I’ll get a new one.”
“But you can’t replace the photo!” You hug it close to your chest, “Wait, send it to me, I want to put it as your profile picture.” You reach into his pocket, pulling out your phone, but Sukuna–for some reason–seems to be a bit panicked by your hand.
“Wait, don’t–”
You giggle, “Wait, what? You scared I’m going to accidentally touch your–” You watch as something falls to the floor when you pull your phone out of his pocket. “Oh, you dropped something.” You bend down to pick it up, before blinking a few times, your hand inches away from the–the…
You feel your face explode in heat, your hand retracting back almost in fear. Oh my god, oh my god, oh my god, oh my… You slowly tilt your head back, looking at Sukuna. “Uh, I… my bad.”
Sukuna isn’t looking at you, his hands shoved in his pockets. He doesn’t even say anything, which you think is odd considering his quick tongue, and brass never censoring mouth.
You feel a sharp puff of air leave your lips unexpectedly, before you cup your mouth, giggling into your palm. Before erupting into a laughing fit, absolutely dying in your kneeling position.
“You’re such a child.” Sukuna remarks above you, but he’s still not looking at you.
“You think I’m the child?” You pick up the small square, the gold packaging crinkling underneath your touch. “Sure, but here, you’re… Trojan magnum condom.”
Sukuna snatches it from your hand, sliding it back into his pocket. “Shut up.”
You stand up, opening Sukuna’s phone to search for your contact. “I can’t wait to tell Nobara about this.” You whisper underneath your breath, “Also, what did you change my contact to?”
Sukuna furrows his eyebrows at you. “Your contact?”
“Yeah.” You open up his messages, and feel your finger pause in its spot. Your eyes stop on the second most recent message, your contact.
“You named yourself.” Sukuna adds obviously, tilting his head to the side ever so slightly. “Don’t tell me you already forgot that shit.”
You take a moment to respond, a bit stunned that Sukuna kept the name. “Y-Yeah, sure.” You pretend to roll your eyes, resting your weight on your right leg, leaning ever so slightly. “My memory isn’t that bad.”
You’re trying not to think about how Sukuna kept the name, or how he already has a picture for you. The one he took to supposedly, ‘send to Yuuji,’ which coincidentally is something Yuuji has never brought up to you.
Just send the picture, you mentally tell yourself. Opening your message history and glancing at the most recent one he sent you. ‘Going to your club, keep sleeping. Lazy.’ So, he did tell you about it, but in your crazed, worried, panic, you didn’t even bother to glance at your phone.
“You done?” Sukuna asks, arms crossed over his chest. “Or you looking for something to annoy me about.”
“You know me too well.” You hand Sukuna his phone back, wiggling your shoulders playfully. “I also sent an old picture of you dressing as Sailor Venus. A little gift for putting up with you for so long.”
“I hope you die.” Sukuna shoves the phone into his pocket.
“Oh.” Your eyes trail behind him, glancing at a cute ornament. “Wait, that one is so cute. Let’s change the location of our ornament.” You take a few steps forward, “I kinda’ wish I got one like that now.”
“Why?” Sukuna glances over his shoulder, “It’s not even that cute.”
“What?! It totally is.” You place your hands behind your back, “A cute and simple pink heart, what’s there not to like about it?” You look to the side, “Maybe, I should go buy one for our own tree.” You think aloud.
“We don’t even have a tree.”
“We can get one.”
“I’m not spending money on something that’s going to be up for less then a month.”
“I’ll buy it!”
“With what money?”
“I just want the damn ornament!”
Sukuna blinks a few times, before glancing at the tree, then back at you. A smirk splits his lips, and it makes you uneasy. He tilts his head to the side, leaning down close to your face. “Then, take it.”
Your lips part, before your eyebrows furrow in anger. “I’m not stealin–”
“Shh.” Sukuna places his hand over your mouth, practically glaring at you. “Don’t yell something like that, you’re going to draw attention.” He leans his hand over your head, intending to reach the ornament, but you stop him.
“Are you kidding? Someone put that up there, you can’t just steal it ‘cause I like it.” You push his hand to the side, “Someone put it up there, someone like us.”
“Us?” Sukuna asks, but… it doesn't seem like he’s making fun of your choice of wording. It sounds more like… he’s asking for clarification on what you mean. What does ‘us’ mean?
“Yeah. Us.” You look to the side, pushing your hair behind your shoulders. “Another… uh, couple.” You touch the tip of your finger to your bottom lip, “Two people spending their afternoon together, and not knowing what to…” You point your finger between the two of you, “...what to call this.”
It is silent between you two, no words exchanging.
Sukuna looks at you for a few moments, looking at your hands, before looking at your face. He nods, “Yeah…” He turns away, hands in his pockets. “Let's go home. It’s getting late, and we’re an hour out.” He turns on his heel, starting to walk away from you.
You press your lips together, not completely sure how to feel. To take a final glance at the tree, looking at your cat ornament, before walking after him. You sigh, closing your eyes to regroup.
Fine, it’s fine. He’s not telling you no, he’s just… agreeing with you?
You take a step forward, and quickly feel your foot slip, almost twisting your ankle in an awkward position, but you catch yourself. Stopping in your tracks to readjust your standing.
Sukuna looks over his shoulder, “You almost fall?”
You narrow your eyes, straightening your posture. “No.”
“Right.” He cocks his head to the side, “Then hurry up, you’re draggin’ your feet.”
“I’m not draggin’ my feet.” You mimic, walking after him, but you mentally cringe. Your feet were uncomfortable before, now they’re aching with pain. A very, very uncomfortable pain.
You press your lights together tightly, trying to conceal the pained groan wanting to escape your lips. You truly feel this is a humbling moment, you’re not made for cute shoes, and you’re not mentally strong enough to wear them.
It hurts.
You shiver.
And, I’m cold.
Sukuna narrows his eyes at you, “What’s wrong?” You watch as something flashes over his face, but you can’t describe what it is. “Are you not… enjoying yourself?”
“What? No, of course I am.” You reassure, finally standing by his side, “I’m just…” In a lot of pain, and starting to freeze my ass off from the cold. “...uh, tired from all the walking.”
“Well, we got to walk back to the car.” Sukuna points in the general direction, “So, find a way to not be tired for the next fifteen minutes.”
“Yeah.” You shiver again, sarcastically adding, “Let me just stop being tired right now.” You wrap your arms around yourself, trying to keep your warmth together.
“Glad we can agree.” Sukuna keeps walking, closest to the street and now directly by your side.
You hesitate to tell him, “I’m… cold.” Turning your face away from him so you can’t see his reaction.
“I told you to get a sweater.”
You feel your shoulder slump, “I know.” You slowly turn your face to him, but keep your eyes diverted. “It was going to ruin my outfit, ‘Kuna, I didn’t want to look ugly.”
“It wasn’t goin’ to make you look ugly.” Sukuna adds, “You just overthink.”
You huff, “Well, I’m still cold.”
Sukuna softly sighs, and you can hear rustling, before something drapes over your head. Something warm, soft, and smells like… Sukuna. You pull it down your body, wrapping the sweat around your shoulder and slipping your arms through the sleeves.
You zip up the sweater, burying your lower face into the sweater. Sukuna. You close your eyes, sighing with content. Sandalwood, a bit of citrus, and a toasty undertone. “I’m warm now.”
“You better be.” Sukuna shivers, but he tries to hide it. “I’m suffering for your benefit.”
You giggle, but mentally flinch with every step you take. Jesus, you’re in serious pain now, maybe you should've worn your normal shoes.
“What is it now?” Sukuna brass asks.
You furrow your eyebrows, “Are you kidding? I didn’t even say anything this time.”
“You’re easy to read.” He tells you, placing his hand over your head. “You’ve always been easy to read.”
“Then, why didn’t you know I liked you?” You place your hands on your hips, talking a few steps forward and turning on your heel. Walking backward while speaking to Sukuna, “If I’m so ‘easy to read,’ huh?”
“How did you not know I liked you?”
You bite the inside of your cheek, “I did.” Sukuna gives you a face that can only be described as, ‘really?’ But, you quickly add, “I just… always doubted myself.”
“Uh-huh.” Sukuna rolls his eyes, “I’m sure.”
“Well, I knew for a fact you cared for me in the least. Which is more than what you feel for the normal person.” You slip your fingers inside the sleeves, not enjoying how the cold is biting at them. “So, yeah.”
Sukuna nods, “I remember that.” He sharply breathes out in a laugh, “I remember that scared me.”
You tilt your head to the side, “Why?”
“You were right.” He runs his hands through your hair, picking up a few strands. Before softly tugging on them, “Your stupid brain was right.”
“Hey.” You swap his hand away, “Just compliment me without an insult.”
“Yeah right.” Sukuna flicks your head, “And let it get in your head? Yeah, no thanks, you’re already crazy as is.”
You shake your head, crossing your arms over your chest. “I’m not crazy, you’re just obsessed with me.”
“Yeah?”
You nod, “Yeah.” You smile to yourself, leaning close to Sukuna and resting your head on his arm. “Obsessed enough to carry me to the car, because my feet are killing me.”
“Absolutely not.”
“What? But, I thought you liked me?”
“Not enough to carry you.” Sukuna narrows his eyes, trying to gage the distance between the two of you and his car. “We’re ten minutes away, I’m not carrying you.” Not only that, but he parked his car up a hill.
You pout, slumping into your shoulder, but you quickly perk up again, a cheeky smile splitting your lips. “Ah, whatever.” You turn around, walking forward again. “Just sounds like you’re too weak to carry me.” You peer at Sukuna over your shoulder, “I guess Yuu is just the stronger brother then.”
Sukuna’s eye twitches, “Fuck you.”
One of your airpods is in your ear, while the other is in Sukuna’s. The two of you silently listening to your downloaded music on shuffle. You’re a bit embarrassed by the music playing, some being years old back when you were in middle school, and others being as recent as this week.
You bounce with each step Sukuna takes, your arms wrapped around his shoulders and your legs sticking out from his sides. Sukuna’s hands resting on the back of your thighs, supporting you against his body while he searches for his car.
You’re a bit sleepy, your eyes heavy while your chin resting on his shoulder. One of your hands loosely holding onto your shopping bag. Sukuna can hear you humming along to the melody of the music playing,  and even though he’s never heard of the song playing, he thinks it's nice. You yawn, “‘Kuna?”
Sukuna adjusts his hands on your body, “What.”
You place your cheek on his shoulder, looking at the side of his face. You adore how pretty he is, his strong jaw, deep eyes, nose, and intricate tattoos. You’re almost jealous. “Do you like me?” You poke his cheek with your finger, tracing his tattoos.
“No.” Sukuna turns his head away from you, “I hate you.”
You sigh, closing your eyes again, “Yeah. I hate you, too.” Right as you say that, a very familiar melody plays in your ears. A song from a movie you adore more than anything. “Do you know this song?” Sukuna pauses for a moment, before nodding. You giggle, whispering, “The sun is nearly gone.”
“You’re a horrible fuckin’ singer.” Sukuna teases.
“Like you’re any better.” You snap back.
“Yuuji’s actually really good at singing.” Sukuna tells you, before softly blowing a strand of your hair from his face. “He gets embarrassed, but the kid has skills. More than you, at least.”
“Yuuji is amazing at everything.” You laugh, “To be honest, I think I’m in love with Yuuji.” You giggle against his neck, wiggling your shoulders playfully, “You okay with knowing that, ‘Kuna? That I’m actually obsessed with your brother, and not you?”
Sukuna chuckles, “Yeah.” He jolts you up again, “I know.”
You hum, “That’s tailor made for two.” You whisper, “What a shame those two are you, and me.” You giggle, “Oh my god, I literally love this song so much.” You glare at him, “It’s criminal you don’t know this song.”
“I have this movie memorized.” Sukuna adds, next to your ear.
You playfully scoff, placing your hands on his neck, “And you think I’m cringe?” You push his shoulder playfully, “I think you might be worse than me.”
“I didn’t watch La La Land by choice, Yuuji forced me.” Sukuna looks to the side, placing his hands into his pockets.
You slowly stop, glancing at the sun setting. It’s a bit covered by the clouds, “Yeah. I’m sure watching Sailor Moon also wasn’t a choice.” For some reason, it’s colder than before.
Sukuna stops with you, gaze joining yours. “I was like, fourteen when it came out? Besides, that movie was horrible.”
You gasp dramatically, popping your head back to look at his face. “Take that back.”
“Take what back?” Sukuna asks, passing you a playful look. “My thoughts?”
You nod, “Yes, especially if your thoughts are wrong.”
“What would make my thoughts right?”
“If they agree with my thoughts.”
“I do agree with you.”
“Not in the right way.”
Sukuna doesn’t respond immediately, but he shakes his head with a subtle smile. “You’re bipolar.”
You nod, leaning into Sukuna’s neck and resting there. “Yeah.” Your tone is soft, your eyes fluttering closed. “You are too.”
“Thanks.” Sukuna rests his chin on the top of your head, continuing to make his way to his car, but you can feel him stop. The pressure of your head being removed as he looks up. “Look.”
You sigh before looking up, but you flinch when something soft and cold hits your nose.
Snow.
Your lips part in awe for a moment, before you slide down from Sukuna’s arms.“It didn’t snow last year.”
“It didn’t.” Sukuna furrows his eyebrows ever so slightly, “In fact, this place isn’t really known for snowing, like–at all.”
You turn quickly on your heel, “Oh my god, what if us being together set off a canon event, or the start of the end of the world.” You place your hand over your mouth, “Wait, no–”
“Stop talking.” Sukuna continues walking, “We’re literally five parking spaces away from my car, just stop talking for the rest of the way.” He reaches into his pocket, grabbing your keys.
You roll your eyes, but walk after him. But, quickly pull the back of his shirt, making him stop walking. “Sukuna?”
He nods.
“Uh.” You take a deep breath, “Thank you for, uh, taking me out.” You can feel your heart rate increase, you’re so nervous to be saying this, and you don’t even know why. “It means a lot to me, and I had… I had a lot of fun.”
Sukuna finally turns on his heel to look at you.
You let your hand drop back to your side, “It really… uhm, it means a lot.”
“You already said that.”
“I’m trying to thank you here!” You can feel your face burning up with embarrassment. Why can’t Sukuna take anything seriously for one second?
Sukuna nods, biting the inside of his cheek while subtly smiling. “I know.” He leans down, pushing your hair behind your ear, “You don’t need to thank me.”
You flutter your lashes, looking to the side bashfully, “But, I do.” You look back at him, tilting your head up, “I really appreciate you, this was really nice.” You press your lips together.
There’s silence between the two of you, and you don’t know how to fill it. It’s not unpleasant, and a part of you never wants to change it, you want things to stay like this forever. Sukuna touching you softly, a comfortable oura between the two of you.
Sukuna’s eyes dip, before he lowers himself to finally kiss you. His lips are soft against yours, contrasting to the way he kissed you in the dressing room. It's loving, adoring, and longing. His tongue slips past your lips and swipes against yours, before he pulls away.
Sukuna places his forehead on yours, “I’m… I had fun.”
Your smile is loving, before you whisper, “I think I want to give you my gift.” You lean in close again, your lips ghosting over his, “Can I do that?” Your hands reach for his.
He nods, before his eyes light up with a realization, “Oh, wait, I also got something else for you.” He leans back and reaches into the shopping bag that held your jewelry.
You shake your head, “You spent more money on me?” You ask a bit dreaded.
“No.”
“Oh.” You blink a few times, “Then, what is it?”
Sukuna’s holding something in his hand, and you can’t see it. But, he’s holding it out for you, waiting for you to extend your hand to take it.
You hesitate, “Uh…” You jut your eyebrows, “Is it… a bug?”
Sukuna glares at you, “Yes, it’s a fuckin’ bug. No?” He shakes his head, “Just take it.”
You put your hand out, and wearily accept the item–or bug–Sukuna is handing to you. Once it’s resting in your hand, you feel your heart drop.
“Sukuna.”
“Yeah?”
“Did you?” You look up, then look back at your hand. “When did you even get the chance to steal this?”
“When you weren’t looking.” Sukuna’s looking at the ornament in your hand, “Don’t you like it?”
“I mean, yeah? But, this doesn’t…” You laugh, trying to hide your smile. “You know what, I love it. Really thoughtful, and risky gift.” You start moving to Sukuna’s car again, “We can put it on our tree.”
“We still don’t have a tree.” He’s walking behind you, opening up the trunk of his car to place your empty bag inside.
“I can make an origami one.” You think for a moment, “Wait, origami Christmas trees are real, right?” You look in the trunk, and quickly swipe at your red lip gloss you had supposedly left inside.
“Pretty sure.” Sukuna shuts the trunk, watching as you swipe your lip gloss wand over your lips. “While we’re driving home, you can search up what’s needed, and I’ll swing by Micheal’s.”
“Wait, but I want to give you my gift first!” You grab his hand, tugging him to his car, but you pause at the doors of the driver's side. You lean up and press a quick kiss to his lips, “Let me give you my gift first, please.”
Sukuna watches you open the door, and pull the driver's seat forward, allowing you to slip into the backseats of his car. He feels his throat bob, watching your dress ride up your ass, and letting him look at your pink lacy panties.
How could he say no to you?

Like Love
Wednesday x Kitsune!reader
You finally got the chance to take the Addams Manor grand tour. Each place you were taken to fascinate you. There were always some sort of surprise to find in every nook and cranny. Wednesday, in turn, was fascinated by you and your wonder. This house she lived in all her life found new life in your eyes.
As you two made your way down the grand staircase, a saber was suddenly coming at you, tip first. Your fox ears flare up in surprise as you dodged the flying blade. When you follow the trajectory of the missile, you find Gomez poised on the chandelier with another blade in hand.
"En garde, zorro!"
With a spin, you pull the saber from the stair and block the elder Addams's attack. Now the fight was on and you were glad you were a part of the fencing club. Your footwork was near perfect. It was difficult for Gomez to destabilize you and he loved it.
"Amazing! Your stance is impeccable," he praised as he swung at your feet. You jumped and dodged it with ease. When he goes for another strike, you shoot upward and flip over the man, landing at the foot of the stairs. Gomez turns and cheers.
"Brava! Bravo!" He takes a stance and races to join you and continue the bout. "Venga, zorro!"
Wednesday is joined by her mother while watching the battle. She made the excuse that it was under the pretense of criticizing your form but Morticia knows better.
"My woeful child. You seem to have found quite the catch." Her eyes sparkle with mirth. Wednesday's matching eyes sparkled with disdain.
"This isn't like you and Father. I don't have feelings for them... To that disgusting extent." Watchful eyes continue to follow each strike and parry as they spoke.
"Au contraire, my darling." There's a moment of pause before Morticia shrugs and continues. For Gomez to be that enthralled in a skirmish was a treat. "I see the way you look at them. And how they look in return." Her hand comes up and soothes away some of her daughter's flyaway hairs. "Why is it so awful to embrace that feeling?"
"Because it's a weakness."
"And yet, here they are. In our lovely home. Hardly ever an arm's length away from you."
Wednesday's stone face tightens. She hated the idea of becoming her parents. The fact that there's a possibility for love in this relationship made her nauseous. Those damned bats in her stomach just won't stop fluttering when she is around you.
But then there are moments like now where she'll watch you and see the smirk on your face as you fight her father. It was like you were fighting for his approval, which was moot. Her whole family adores you. In these moments, though, her heart calms. A rare veil of peace covers her and puts her at ease. At least until her mother speaks again.
"You have nothing to fear, you know." Wednesday gives Morticia a sideways glance at that. "Love is different for all. You don't have to be as passionate as your father and I. You're your own person, my daughter. Your love will be different."
When Wednesday looks back at you and her father, your blades are locked between your bodies. Neither one of you are giving into the other's push. In an effort to break the stalemate, Gomez pushes the swords to the side and swings them around. However, the momentum sent both blades into the air and straight into the high ceiling.
Both combatants watch dejectedly as the sabers wobble in place. When they look at each other again, Gomez grins wide and takes your hand and shakes it before pulling you into a tight embrace.
"Fantastic show, my child!" You huff a thanks, the sudden hug stealing the air from your lungs. "A wonderful addition to our familia."
You blush and let out an embarrassed chuckle. "Thanks, Mr. Addams." He just slams a hand onto your back.
"Please! Just Gomez. Or Papa. Whichever!"
The Addams women decide then to go down and save you from Gomez's affection. As soon as Morticia is in sight, he immediately is at her side, kissing up her arm.
"Don't think I didn't hear your French, Cara Mia." A few kisses. "You know what it does to me." More kisses. "It spurred me to finish our duel as quickly as possible." Even more kisses.
You stood amused as you watched the interaction. It left you wondering how Wednesday ended up how she was with parents like these. Said girl was rolling her eyes at her parents.
"They'll be like this for a while." She turns and grabs your hand. "Come, mi amor. We still have the cemetery to see." You follow her, but not without a smile on your face at what she called you.
When you reach the cemetery, you marveled at the size of it. Your eyes were constantly loving to look at each gravestone and mausoleum.
"This place is amazing, Wednesday." She had been watching you wander around, a small smile on her lips. "Even the spirits here are happy. Well, for the most part, heh." That caught her attention.
"You can see the spirits?"
With a smile, you trot back over to Wednesday. "Kind of. They're kind of just balls of energy. Oh, lemme see if I can show you."
You turn to face the rest of the cemetery, tails flaring out as you manifest your powers. Wednesday watches as wisps of your foxfire bob around your tails. Soon enough, small orbs of light start to appear near the gravestones. Dark eyes flick around to see the names on the gravestones. Uncles, aunt's, distant Addamses. Some of them were grouped together, as if they were conversing. Some moved across the field. It was fascinating to see life after death.
"Whew." You slouched slightly from the energy you just released. "Oh hey. That was a wider area than I've done before." You mentally pat yourself on the back and make your way back to Wednesday.
"There's more around, but that's as far as I can manage."
"Incredible." The glow of the orbs makes her eyes sparkle and it draws you in. You're sure that you just fell a little bit more for the girl beside you.
She takes your hand and you walk amongst the orbs as she tells you about each ancestor. Eventually, you two make it to the pet cemetery and the goth leads you to her beloved Nero.
"Is he still here?"
You smile at the question and hold your hand out towards the grave. Wednesday watches as a small orb appears and slowly morphs itself into a scorpion. Her eyes widen slightly as she turns to see your face in concentration. Taking advantage of the opportunity, she crouches and holds her hand out, allowing the small creature to crawl onto it and scurry along her arm.
"It's been too long, my lovely Nero. I see you are as loyal as ever."
She lets the ghostly pet down and turns to you when you allow the image to fade.
"Thank you for this chance, mia volpe. It means a lot to me." You just smile and shrug.
"Anything for you, Wednesday. I..." There's a pause. You turn away in embarrassment. The feelings you have for Wednesday were strong. You know the extent of it, the word for it. It bubbles in your heart, threatening to overflow.
But you also know Wednesday and her aversion to the feeling. You didn't want to assume anything when she called you 'her love' earlier. It was already established that things would go at her pace. You didn't want to overstep.
Wednesday also knows your feelings. She sees it in your actions. Not many people would duel her father for as long as you did or let her revisit a dear friend. You were patient with her, even when she was unsure of something. Calling you 'her love' was a slip of the tongue but it didn't change the fact that it was true.
"You what?" She pried, as if she didn't know the words already.
"Nah, it's nothing." You waved your hand. "Don't worry about it." She steps towards you and takes your hand, making you look at her.
"You... What?" She insisted. A soft sigh escapes your lips and suddenly you're nervous. Is she really going to make you say it? Did... Did she want you to say it? You decide to throw caution into the wind as you take her other hand with a steely resolve.
"I... I love you, Wednesday. I adore you. You stole my heart right from my chest and I don't care because it's you." She steps closer to you. "I know you don't want to be like your parents. I know that kind of affection makes your skin crawl, but I'll do everything in my power to show my love for you. Just say it, and I'm yours to command."
Cold hands caress your cheeks and you let yourself sink into the feeling. You feel a soft, chaste kiss on your lips. Lips you never want to part with.
"There's no need for commands. I can simply ask you and you'll do it." You let out a soft laugh at that. It was true after all.
"This feeling is something I've only witnessed before. It's a very different love than I'm used to. Seeing how my parents are made me terrified to see if a simple switch could just ignite that in me outside of my control." Her eyes wander around your face, taking in the look of pure adoration you had for her.
"But with you, it isn't like that. There is no surge of passion that overtakes me. No unbearable need to kiss you. I spend my time beside you because I want to." She takes a moment to breathe. This display of emotion was a lot for her.
"Yes, when we're apart I wish to be near you, but it's not debilitating. I can still be my own person." Her eyes find yours again and the look you give her doesn't change. "I was scared of losing that, of being trapped as a pair. With you, I am both us and me." She takes another breath. Your hands come up to rest on her cheeks and it soothes her.
"I... I love you as well, Y/N. You are irreplaceable in my life. You found a way to breathe life into my dead heart." She stares into your eyes. "Mi amor, mi vida. I am yours for as long as we shall be."
"And I'm yours for as long as time itself, my love."
In the midst of the family cemetery, among the spirits of loved ones long since passed, you share a kiss with your girlfriend, your lover. A promise of forever sealed in that embrace.

An alternative review of GMMTV Live 2024 part 2
A list of the shared items of clothing that appeared in the trailers, ranked according to the amount I squealed when I spotted it.
6. getricheasy sports shirt
The first of four from Sweet Tooth, Good Dentist, this had its first appearance in Only Friends and was used in the promotional material for The Outing but I didn't spot it in the show, so I'm happy to see it again. Who knows if it will be used in the actual show...that goes for any of these items incidentally.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
5. Blue with yellow detail knitted vest
I've had a screenshot of this vest worn by Thor since I saw it as Wednesday Club aired. I swear I've seen it somewhere else before but can't remember. But hence why it immediately jumped out to me in Perfect 10 Liners.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
4. Green sports jacket
On to the second of the four from Sweet Tooth, Good Dentist, and oh to be Poon and be able to wear the jacket that our King and Queen have worn -> first by Namtan in UMG and then Mix in his glorious cameo at the end of Only Friends. I predict we'll see this again a few more times.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
3. Blue with brown edging shirt
I was happy to see this one, another in Sweet Tooth, Good Dentist, because I had kept it in my mind since seeing it in Only Friends - as another potential that might get worn again. It's subtle yet quite distinct...and very much in a similar vibe as many other shirts worn by Force (and shared with Sea, Ngern, and New amongst others).
Tumblr media Tumblr media
2. Red, blue, and green striped t-shirt
I'm impressed with my brain for spotting this one, the last from Sweet Tooth, Good Dentist, because at first it just felt familiar, and I immediately thought of UMG but I thought it might just be because it's similar to a few stripy colour shirts that Nanon wore. But I had a look through my screenshots of the series and eventually found it all the way at the end...
Tumblr media Tumblr media
1. Ink's mustard knitted vest!
This one I could not believe. Never in my wildest dreams did I think we would see this iconic vest from Bad Buddy again. But here we are, on Mix no less in Ossan's Love. It's not something you'd expect to see on Mix...but then again I thought the costuming of the trailer looked a lot more 'quirky' than usual and very much fitting the kooky/slapstick vibe of the series. But honestly, this made my day.

He got out, hopped one state over, and planned on continuing an anonymous existence of cold beds and numbers scribbled on forearms. One small problem in that plan, or maybe one big problem.

“You coming tonight?”
“Who’s playing?”
“Up and coming, you haven’t heard of them.”
“Oh, so they’re shit then?”
“Don’t be a snob, Steven. Even your beloved Elliott Smith started out as a nobody. Hell, he still is a nobody.”
“You told Art that I’d cover the front tonight, didn’t you?” The silence is enough of an answer. Steve sighs.
“Eddie.”
“Come on, Steve. Money is money, I don’t see why you’re complaining when I was gracious enough to get you a little more of it.” His so very gracious roommate is already halfway out the door, a grin and shrug that tells Steve there will be no squirming out of this. Great.
It’s not that he doesn’t enjoy a trip to the Newport Club, especially not when it’s free and all he has to do is check tickets and let girls feel him up a little on the way into the music hall. But it’s  Wednesday, and he has work tomorrow, and he’s feeling a little more pitiful than usual since their AC unit busted out and has yet to be fixed. Their landlord told them he would be getting to it about two weeks ago, and Steve is starting to wilt around the edges in the close grip of the heat and humidity. So no, he’s not really feeling a gig at the moment. But yes, money is money, and he doesn’t have much time to whine to himself about it when he’s already running late to his shift at Katzinger’s.
Columbus has been good to him, something he is reminded of every morning when he bikes across town to get to the deli. Urban enough to be anonymous, but still cheap enough for him to pay rent with the patchwork jobs he does. And not Hawkins, so it’s already miles ahead just because of that.
“I got lox no schmear for Tiffany. There you go, sweetheart, have a nice day.” Tiffany left her phone number at the bottom of her receipt for him, a little heart too. Yet another way Columbus has treated him well, the bevy of OSU students that seem to like what Steve has going on. Eddie calls it his “soft-prozac look,” whatever the hell that means. Certainly different from his polo shirts and varsity jacket days, but a whole lot else has changed since then.
Things are easy, simple, and he likes it that way. Making sandwiches and smiling at coeds until three, a new Tiffany every week, no strings, no stress. And the music scene at the fringes of campus. While his roommate prefers a sound with a little more edge, Steve prefers the softer, sadder stuff, and there’s plenty of it getting passed around on burned CDs and in the dim, dank bars downtown. That’s how he first started picking up gigs at the Newport Club. Art took one look at him, the remnant strength from the days of the king, and stuck him out front with a scowl and a folded wad of cash. Not to mention the perk that once the crowd is packed in, he gets to lean in the doorway and turn his good ear to the music.
She’s running late. Actually, she was running late twenty minutes ago. Now it’s just laughable. And somewhere in the slow slump of afternoon into evening, it has started raining. So there’s that, the hem of her skirt sticking and sweating around her ankles, skin turned tacky in the humid air. But she’s a little too focused on digging her ticket out of the bottom of her bag as she does a sort of jump-walk toward the club.
Who was it again? A friend of a friend’s boyfriend who had an extra ticket to this new band’s gig. She can’t even remember the name. Probably something precious and pretentious like toaster aneurysm.
Shit, not good, not even the remnants of a crowd still waiting outside the venue, just some guy with his arms folded over his chest, leaning in the doorway with one doc marten crossed over the other. His eyebrow cocks, a crack of his gum rolled with his jaw when she approaches. She can hear the dull thrum of a bass coming from inside, already started.
“Hi, I’m here for the show, here’s my–”
“The show started fifteen minutes ago, sweetheart.” It’s a little stunning, not snappy, but entirely bored in the way he says it, sighing and slumping back against the wall, a flick of his chin to toss his thick flop of hair out of his eyes.
“Okay, so? Just take my ticket and let me in.” Not in the mood, not that she ever is, for this bullshit tough guy act. Said tough guy squints at her, tongue poking in his cheek like really, this is a grave inconvenience to him, when he could have already taken her ticket and let her in and gotten back to his brooding hunch.
“What’s your name?”
“I don’t see how that’s relevant.”
“I’m Steve.”
“Good for you, Steve.” Great, he thought that was funny, a huff of a laugh and half a smile, perfect teeth and frustratingly perfect dimple. She was going for bitchy, actually. When he finally uncrosses his arms from over his chest, hooking his knuckles into the pockets of his pants, she gets a better look at his t-shirt. He must have shrunk it in the wash, or maybe it’s intentional, the way it fits so snug that the muscles in his arms bulge over the sleeves, the I heart metal  logo stretched to burst across his chest. Elliott Smith fan, so at least he’s got that going for him.
“Are you really not gonna let me in?”
“Are you really not gonna tell me your name?”
“It’s Ruth, okay?
“That’s an old-fashioned name.”
“So is Steve.” By now, the band has already gotten through two more songs since she got here, and she’s starting to think she’s going to have to resign herself to listening to scraps through the propped open door. For his part, Steve seems perfectly content with the situation, his chin tilted toward the sound as he pulls a menthol out of his back pocket and lights it up. For her part, Ruth is just annoyed enough to reach out and swipe the cigarette from his fingers before it makes it to his mouth, taking a smug inhale as he lets out a petulant whine of hey.
“If you’re gonna keep me out here, the least you can do is offer some refreshments.” To be fair, the more she hears of the music dripping out from the club, the less interested she is in joining the crowd, some kind of post-punk shoegaze dirge-fest from the sound of it. And no, it definitely doesn’t have anything to do with the long line of his throat when he lets smoke seep out in a hiss, head tilted back to keep his exhale from washing over her face. No, nothing to do with that, and nothing to do with the way the tendons in his forearms jump, all spilled shadow when he offers her back the cigarette. No, definitely nothing to do with that either.
“Are you a student?”
“No, are you?”
“No, so what do you do then?”
“I work at the library.”
“Oh yeah?”
“Hmm. What about you?”
“I work at Katz, you know? Over in german village?”
“Yeah, everyone knows Katz. I like Brown Bag better though, they’ve got that tofu cream cheese.”
“Who the hell likes tofu cream cheese? Are you vegan or something?” Rapid fire, somewhere in the volley she has mirrored his posture, her shoulder brushing against his as she rests back against the wall, fingers flickering back and forth, trying to sip down the last few drags of their shared cigarette.
“No, I just like the taste better. Regular cream cheese gives me the heebies.” He hums, the dip and bob of his throat catching the warm shock of the streetlights. She lets herself watch him for a beat, the quick flit of her eyes away from his when he looks right back at her. Back and forth like that, she collects up every freckle she can find, the two on the side of his neck, on his cheek. Pretty boy at rest. The music is mere afterthought.
He’s glad he decided to be difficult tonight. The truth is, he really isn’t supposed to let people in after the set starts, something about code violations and fire hazards. But usually, he’ll nod along a few stragglers hurrying into the club, no big deal. Chalk it up to the heat, to no AC, to whatever, Steve was not feeling so generous tonight, and he’s never been so grateful for his snappy streak as he is right now.
“What size shoe did you say you are?” He’s not entirely sure how things unraveled to this. Him, with his shoeless, socked foot hovering just above the sidewalk, and her, holding her sneaker in one hand, with his doc marten on her foot, giving a few experimental shuffles in it, the hem of her skirt swirling around her shins with it.
“Men’s twelve, probably too big for you, honey.” Her nose scrunches, mouth screwing to the side like she can’t possibly stand being called that. He tucks that away in his mind through the constant din of the concert going on inside.
“Hmm, I think I could make it work if I doubled up my socks.”
“You gonna steal my shoes, is that your angle?”
“Well, I do need a refund for my ticket since someone wouldn’t let me in.” He scoffs, dipping his chin to hide behind his hair, just a little, buying time to think of something clever to say back to her.
“Judging by that noise, I think I did you a favor actually.” Ruth grins, and as if on cue, a particularly discordant warble of guitar whines through the door, both of them wincing at it.
“Maybe you’re right. How much longer you think they got?” She wobbles to the side as she toes out of his boot, and Steve moves before he can think, one hand to her waist, one cupping her elbow. Up close like this, he can see the way her eyeliner has smudged at the edges, a stray speck of it on the arc of her cheek. But it’s catch and release, a laugh light in her chest as she pulls away to put her own shoe back on.
“I’d say they’re wrapping up. We could, you know, get out of here if you wanted to.” Fun, right? That’s what this is. The flirt and flair of it, a game they both seem to be intent on.
“Where are we going, Steve?” She tilts her head, sing-songing his name.
Steve is good at this, the logistics of it all. Hers or his. His, they decide, because hers is further away. And mercy, Eddie has been shacking up with the produce stocker from the natural grocery store over in Bexley, so they don’t have to worry about being quiet when they stumble through the door to his apartment.
Graceless, groaning into her mouth when his hip hits the corner of the kitchen counter, and then a different noise entirely skittering up the back of his throat when Ruth’s palm finds the hurt and rubs it out with quick heat up under the hem of his t-shirt.
Here’s the thing, most of the time, he prefers to keep his shirt on. It’s not that anyone has been rude or repulsed by the scars that splay over his skin. Something much worse. A pitying thing, a pitiful thing. The drop of their brow and a pulled frown and oh my gosh, what happened to you? Yeah, he’d prefer to keep his shirt on most of the time. But right now, he wants a little more. A little more sense, a little more touch, a little more of her palms on bare skin. So it’s more feel than thought when he tugs his shirt off over his head, shivering down with it when she noses down his neck to drop her lips to the top of his shoulder. Bruise-colored kisses, he doesn’t resist the urge to thumb away the smear of her dark lipstick in the corner of her mouth. She chases after his touch, a kiss to the pad of his thumb before her grin turns sharp with the nick of her teeth.
Pretty boy is pretty all over. Freckles all over, she maps them with her mouth, a slow sneak down his stomach to the waist band of his briefs. And he’s got a bedframe too, bonus. Yeah, pretty all over, flushed-pink tip when she slides his briefs down his thighs, just enough for the thick weight of him to smear pearling pleasure over the coarse hair trailing down his clenched stomach. She’s no better though, thighs clenching together in useless friction where she’s kneeling between his legs, cotton underwear that used to say Wednesday on the front and a bra that’s just as old. She really hadn’t been expecting something like this, though Steve doesn’t seem to mind, lips parted in a ghost of a swollen smile, eyes hazy with want.
“Can I?”
“You can do whatever you want, honey, fuck.” She has to temper her grin when she takes him into her mouth, pleasant pain and pressure in the hinge of her jaw because Steve certainly has something to brag about. Impossible to take all of him, she settles for laving her tongue over the vein running the underside of his cock, spit-slick palm curling around the rest. Pretty boy pretty all over making pretty sounds too. Huffs of breath that turn into groans when she swallows around him, muscle jumping under her palm that’s pressed over his stomach, her nails grazing in an implicit command. Take what you are given, pretty boy. And he does, perfectly, preening under her touch, little pants of fuck, s’good, really good that shiver straight down her spine and into her pelvis. She only realizes that her hand that isn’t working the base of him has dipped down into her panties when Steve lets out a ragged shit, that’s hot, lashes dropped down to his cheeks with the way he’s staring at her. And then it’s all quiet c’mere, c’mere, honey, insistent hand at her jaw coaxing her up, clashing teeth when they both misjudge the first kiss, and then a sigh when they get the second one right.
“You have condoms, right?”
“Yeah, I got it, just let me–” She doesn’t exactly make it easy, mouthing at his neck as he leans over to rifle through his nightstand, jostling her in his lap with a frustrated huff that she doesn’t like the sound of.
“Fuck.”
“Are you, like, out?” He settles back against his headboard with a sigh, an answer in and of itself.
“I bet my roommate has some though. Gimme a sec, I’ll be right back.” Quite the show, his bare ass shuffling out of his room. She lays back on the mattress, maybe wishful thinking in taking off the rest of her clothes, though Steve is quick to return with a grin and a foil packet pinched between two fingers.
“You sitting pretty like that for me, honey?” A little wolfish, animal and annoying in how smug he smiles as he climbs onto the end of the bed, catching her knee before she can close her legs, palm smoothing down the inside of her thigh.
“Don’t look so pleased with yourself, Steven.”
“Steven, huh?” He tilts his head, almost absent-minded, his eyes hooded and heavy, dropped to the crux of her hips. She can’t help her quiet gasp when he drags his thumb through her swollen cunt, pad of his finger notching at her entrance, teasing, testing, before smearing back up to her clit in a lazy arc.
“Fuck, that’s pretty. Are you ready for me?” Cocky, but also clear care. She leans up on an elbow, puling him down by his nape before her stupid heart can kick up too much at the sentiment. His hair tickles against her sternum, forehead pressed there so he can look down at his fumbling with the condom wrapper, clearly distracted, maybe by the way she’s trailing her foot up and down the back of his leg, dark nail polish against tan skin.
It’s a stretch, of course. Perfect ache in her hips, all she can manage is an uh-huh high in her throat when he asks her if she’s alright. And then deeper, taking more of him, all of him until it’s Steve letting out the pathetic sounds, something like a whimper that she laps up, tongue flickering behind his teeth.
The rest is a slow, spiraling, slump. It’s obscenely warm in his room, humid too, so pretty soon sweat starts to pearl and pool. In clavicles, in dips and bend of muscle, skin sticking to skin with salt and sighs, almost smothering with how Steve drapes over her. He moves good, smooth and strong like he knows what he’s doing, though it eventually devolves into a deep grind more than anything else, both of them chasing down pleasure. He smells like that clove gum he was chewing, the menthol too, and like he spent the day out sweltering in the  midsummer heat. She can’t help but dip her nose down into the center of his sternum, breathing him in as her nails dig and slip against his shoulder blades. Though soon he’s coaxing her, lemme see, honey, there you are, pretty eyes.
Embarrassing really, that’s what snaps and snarls her into and over the edge. His eyes, blown out black, steady and certain on her. She comes so hard that she starts to shiver in the heat.
“Mmf.” It isn’t enough to rouse him, still slumped on his stomach with his face pressed into his pillow. But it does feel good, light scratches across his shoulder blades, then trailing up the nape of his neck and into his hair. He sighs, content in his tangle of sheets.
“I know you’re awake.” He can’t help it, smile spreading, one eye squinting open to find Ruth looking right at him, kneeling alongside the bed.
“Why’re you dressed?”
“I need to go home before my shift. I smell like a swamp.”
“Sorry, AC is busted.”
“Yeah, I guessed as much.” He squints sitting up, washed down in the early morning light, already missing the feel of her hand tangled in his hair.
“Can I get your number?” For once, he’d like to do this again. Ruth smiles, settling into her hip as she looks down at him.
“You got a pen?” He does, tucked into a notebook that he keeps in the bottom drawer of his nightstand, not even worried about how uncool he looks fumbling for it and a scrap of paper to give to her. Purple nail polish, he notes, so dark the color is only a suggestion. He watches the flicker of it as she passes back the pen and paper to him.
“Thanks for a nice night, pretty boy.” Still sleep-shaken, but with it enough for her words to send a flush of heat up his neck.
“Yeah, Ruth, I had a good time too. So I’ll call you?” Already halfway out his bedroom door, she still smiles over her shoulder.
“Uh-huh, you do that.”
It’s early enough that he can linger in the scent of her in his sheets, pressing his face hard into the mattress before finally willing himself to get up. By the time he shuffles out into the living room with one and a half boots on, Eddie is back and crunching through a burnt piece of toast in front of the microwave.
“Hey, who was that spooky-looking chick that slinked– slunk? Whatever, left earlier this morning?”
“Her name is Ruth.” All that he offers up, pointedly focusing on pouring himself a cup of coffee. Eddie scoffs, crumbs scattering.
“Okay, and? Flavor of the week, or what?”
“Mmm.”
“No, you’re telling me Morticia is gonna turn an honest man out of you?” Steve’s turn to scoff this time, choosing to take a long pull of coffee rather than indulging Eddie with a real answer.
“You get her number?”
“Yeah.”
“You gonna call her?”
“Jesus, Ed, yes, lay off.”
“Oh, now I know you really like this one. You’re only bitchy about the ones you really like.”
“Fuck off. How’s Herb, or whatever his name is.”
“Don’t be so gauche, Steven, and for the record, his name is Leif.”
“Right.”
“Anyways, Harrington Doctrine, yeah?”
“Yeah, man, exactly.”
Now normally, according to the Harrington Doctrine, Steve should wait a full forty-eight hours, minimum, before even thinking about calling her. He does not follow the Harrington Doctrine. In fact, he barely makes it through the rest of the day without picking up a phone. When he gets home from his shift at the deli, however, he paces himself. Takes a shower first, checks the answering machine, willing away a little more time, anything to temper his apparent want. But when he does finally dial up the number on the scrap of paper he kept tucked in his notebook, he is sorely disappointed by the answer he gets on the other end.
“Brown Bag deli, how may I help you?” First, shock, reasoning to himself that he must have punched it in wrong. He tries again, careful in each button pressed.
“Brown Bag deli, how may I help–” He slams the phone back into its receiver this time, just as Eddie walks through the front door, home from his shift at the tattoo shop where he apprentices.
“Damn, tell that phone how you really feel.”
“She gave me a fake number.”
“What? Who?”
“Mort– Ruth. I can’t believe this, she seriously gave me a fake number.” With all the tact that he usually has, Eddie plucks the scrap of paper from Steve’s hand, a grumbled lemme see as he dials the number. At first, a lift off of hope in his chest when Eddie stays on the line, brow furrowed.
“Hi, yeah, do you guys still do that portobello melt thing? Can I get that without tomatoes? Yeah, to– hey.” Steve only half pays attention to Eddie’s protest when he takes the phone and clicks it back in the receiver, something heavy settling sick in his stomach.
“She really gave me a fake number. What the fuck?”
“Sorry, man, I guess no Addam’s Family Values for you.”
He doesn’t usually get like this. Lord knows, Steve has taken his fair share of rejection. So why this one is stinging harder, lingering longer, especially when he barely knew the girl, is beyond him.
Maybe the boldness of her rejection. A brazen, brash no. The humiliation of unassuming hope, small flames are so quick to be smothered. Or maybe the way he feels like a fool, plain and simple, for thinking there was something more happening when there so apparently wasn’t. Fun, he tells himself. She had been in it for fun. And she got her fun, and got out. And is that not one of his favorite moves in the book? Plenty of fun of his own, after all.
But what is maybe the worst part, he can’t stop thinking about it, about her. Nearly filled up the rest of his notebook with what he can remember, nearly a whole month’s worth of remembering now. Piecemeal, by this point, the line of her nose, the curve of her brow, half a smile. What he can always recall clearly, the patterned print of flowers that was on her skirt. He scribbles it everywhere, in the margins of old receipts, in sharpie on parchment paper, slow days at the deli getting passed somewhere hazy in his mind.
He has a headache by the time he gets back to his apartment most afternoons, opting for a few advil and closed blinds over any of the phone numbers that continue to get tucked into his hands.
“How much longer are you gonna do this?”
“Mmm.”
“Steve.”
“What?” He doesn’t have to  look to know exactly how Eddie is standing right now. In the doorway to his bedroom with his arms crossed and his hip cocked to the side, his version of concern.
“It’s been a fucking month, man. Greener pastures, fish in the sea, et cetera et cetera. You haven’t even gone to any shows since the double-M, for Christ’s sake.”
“Double-M?”
“Morticia meltdown.” Steve sighs, more interested in another swatch of flowers that he’s filling a blank page in his notebook with. Mercy, before Eddie can continue to needle him, the phone rings. He only catches scraps of what is said, but his ears prick when he hears Eddie let out a quiet oh.
“Steven, my liege, my lad, it’s  for you!” Great, probably Art calling to find out where the hell he’s been. Still, he gets up, only paying an ounce of attention to Eddie’s shit-eating grin when he takes the phone from him.
“Hello?”
“Hi, is this Steve?” Still only half-way paying attention, snapping his fingers in Eddie’s direction when he starts rifling through a box of cereal that Steve bought, looking for the dinky plastic toy inside, no doubt.
“Uh, yeah, who is this?” He snaps his fingers again when Eddie keeps digging through the cereal box, mouthing the words stop it when his roommate still persists in his hunt. Steve’s going to have to buy new cereal.
“It’s— it’s Ruth? Um, from the Newport, remember?” It’s a strange feeling, first his stomach sinking, a tight fist in his throat too, and most embarrassingly of all, that flip in his chest, that kick of hope, even now, stupid.
“Oh, oh, yeah, I remember. How did– how’d you get this number?”
“I asked Art for it, figured he’d have your info. Listen, Steve, I need to apologize for what I did. That was just– fucking childish of me, and I hope you know that it had way more to do with my own fucked-upness than it did with anything about you.”
“Yeah, it’s okay, you know, but it was pretty fucked up.” Stupid, how that hope floats to the top of his throat, because maybe apology means trying again. Maybe he’d like to try again.
“There’s something else I have to tell you.”
“Okay?” She sighs, a crackled sound over the line that makes his brow pinch.
“Look, there’s no nice way to say this, so I’m just gonna spit it out.” At this point, Eddie has crept closer, hand still buried in the cereal box, eyes wide and rapt at what is probably a stricken expression on Steve’s face.
“I’m pregnant, Steve.” What does hope turn into? A dizzying feeling, dumb and dull and done. His ears ring with it.
“I– you’re– you– what?”
“I’m pregnant. And before you do that guy thing of asking if it’s yours, I’m pretty damn sure that it is.” Somewhere in the slow unraveling of this, he has pressed one palm to the wall, whole body slumping toward it, head dropped between his shoulder blades to try to make as much of everything else quiet so he can focus on this.
“Okay, um, okay. Do you wanna– you know– because it’s your body and if you wanna— you should–”
“I’ve decided I’m keeping it.” The way his heart seizes, stops for a beat, and then trips back over itself into rhythm scares him, palm finding his chest like he could rub that feeling out and away.
“Right, that’s– yeah. Do you, like, need help, or–”
“No, I don’t need your help. I just– it seemed like the right thing to do to tell you, so that’s what I’m doing. But, yeah, I don’t, like, expect anything from you.” Steve scrunches his eyes shut, hard, trying to tamp down the heat starting to rise behind them, a foreign feeling, a falling feeling.
“Yeah, okay, thank you for telling me, Ruth.” Because what else could he say? It’s like he hears the words coming out of his mouth from somewhere just over his shoulder. And there’s more that he’d like to say, the right things to say, but Ruth is already beating him to it.
“So, yeah, I guess that’s all. Take care of yourself, Steve.” Already hanging up, and that sounds permanent. That sounds like no intention of ever seeing him again. The phone hangs by its chord, swinging limp a few inches above the ground.
“Steve, what the fuck was that?” One long exhale for him, shitshitshitshit. Eddie sets down the cereal box and takes him by the shoulders, squared off and trying to catch his vacant, glazed stare.
“I– we– she–”
“Did you use protection?” He blinks, nods, relieved that Eddie has already gotten explanation enough from eavesdropping on the call.
“Yeah, fuck, yes. I took a condom from your stash, it was a brand new box.” Something strange passes over Eddie’s expression, blanching and jaw slackening.
“Steve, which box of condoms did you open?”
“What do you mean which box? The one in your closet, on the top shelf.” Eddie’s hands drop from his shoulders, brows shot straight up his forehead.
“Oh jesus christ.”
“Jesus christ? What– Ed, what the fuck does that mean?” Steve gets no reply, Eddie already scuttling into his room, followed by the distant sound of rummaging, and then a low curse.
“So here’s the thing, Stevie, these condoms–” Eddie comes back out of his room brandishing said box of condoms, the box that Steve had opened that night with Ruth. He has a smile that slants sheepish on his face, and Steve is already starting to feel sick.
“Yeah, these condoms are from eighty-nine.”
“As in– as in nineteen-eighty-nine?”
“That would be correct, yes.” Eddie has already taken a few tentative steps backward, putting the kitchen counter between him and Steve. But Steve is too struck dumb to even consider anything like vengeance on his roommate, dragging both his hands through his hair and tugging hard until it hurts.
“Who– why– what the fuck are you doing with five-year-old condoms?”
“Ha, well, you see, I figured after a decade or two maybe they’d be worth something, you know? Like a collector’s item.” Wordless, Steve shuffles over to Eddie and takes the box of condoms from his hands, something like a laugh that sounds so sharp Eddie winces at the sound.
“Ed, a signed poster is a collector’s item. This is a box of condoms– this is– this is junk.”
“Well it’s junk now, Steven, since someone opened it.”
“Oh no, uh-uh, you don’t get to be pissy about this, not when there’s literally a girl who’s pregnant because you’re such a fucking hoarder.”
“Uh, excuse me, I’m not the one who didn’t check the expiration date when they went fumbling around for a condom.”
“I didn’t think I needed to worry about five-year-old condoms, fuck!” The volume of his voice surprises even him, silence falling heavy and hard in the echo of it. Steve rests his hands on the counter, letting his shoulders shrug up to his ears, slumping down into his bones. Eddie rests a cautious hand on his arm.
“What’re you gonna do?”
“I don’t know, Ed. I really don’t know.”

Xavier x Reader - Maybe a few more lessons. Pt 5.
Plot - During second term, you join Nevermore academy. One of the first things you do is join the archery club, and from there you get to know Xavier Thorpe. At first he seems head over heels for Wednesday, but maybe at some point he'll see something in you? In school, you go through many dilemmas which you need to solve.
Tumblr media
Part 5
────♡────
"(Y/n) really! A date with my ex? I told you how I feel about him. And you go off and pull this." Bianca raised her voice frustrated. Maybe this was her jealousy coming out now. A puff of air left her mouth as she looked at you. You stood guilty at the door, looking down not knowing what to do. Anything you'd say would only make it worse. "I warned you about him. Yet you don't listen. I'm your freind? Yet you go ahead and do this? (Y/n)?" Bianca stood infront of you with a dawning look in her eyes which you were too scared to look into. Her eyes pierced through your soul as she looked at you. "My ex (y/n)." She only added to your building guilt. "I saw how you walked around, laughing and giggling with him. But sure... it was for the project (y/n) wasn't it."
You were lost for words, but eventually the conversation ended anyway. You sat on your bed, turned to face the other side of the room. Guilt bubbled inside of your stomach, it moved up along your stomach all the way up to your throat. A lump of guilt stuck in your throat that practically choked you. All you did was stay silent, and think about how you hurt your freind already. So early on in the year and something like this already happned. You curled into your bed, blankets wrapping around you as you shut your eyes tightly hoping to fall asleep. Though, snipits of the day kept playing on in your mind. It only made you feel worse.
From that point on, you tried to avoid Xavier as much as you could. Not showing up to archery, giving Xavier the most blunt replies. You even told him to work on the project independently because you had no time to see him. Whenever you saw him in the halls you'd walk the other way, staying stuck to Biancas side to avoid him. You did it for your freind, you didn't want to ruin your guys friendship over something like this. Xavier tried to reach out to you, he waited on you after class yet you'd walk right past him or tell him some bullshit excuse telling him you had to hurry up and be somewhere. You felt bad that you kept shutting him down. Xavier wondered what happned, why you threw a sudden curve ball at him and started to avoid him. He looked at you in class, yet each time you weren't looking his way. But you felt his gaze glued onto you. He tapped his pen againts the table vigorously as he tried to make sense of it. For once he wasn't talking and bothering Wednesday either as he was too caught with you. Xavier was frustrated to see you like this. Again he tried his shot to wait on you, and yet again you ran away catching up with Bianca. He sighed with frustration, biting on his gum as he watched you get smaller as distance between you grew.
It was the end of the day thankfully. You walked outside and saw a glimpse of Xavier who painted on the wall yet again. You tried to sneak past him in hopes he wouldn't see you. Of couse he did though. He turned to see how you were rushing past him. "(Y/n)!" Xavier called out your name as he stepped away from his painting. But you pretended as if you didn't hear him and kept on walking. Xavier didn't let you go this time. "(Y/n)! Stop avoiding me for god sake." You heard his voice get closer to you before he latched onto your wrist, keeping you from running any further away from him. You freeze in the moment, your body getting stiff under his harsh grasp.
"Tell me what wrong? Why the hell have you been avoiding me like this for weeks now? You have totally blanked me. I at least want to know why?" Xavier looked at you with a hurt expression, his brows hanging low as his eyes were deep with emotion and question. His hair sort of messy with him jogging to catch up with you. Yet, all you could do is stare at him with an empty voice. He didn't give up however. He stood adamant and waiting for you to say something, anything. "Please (y/n)." His voice softned as he pleaded you to speak. Eventually you could muster up a big enough voice to say something to him. "I'm sorry Xavier... Bianca was upset at me and well she's my freind so I didn't want to upset her anymore than I have." You looked anywhere but Xaviers face. You didn't want to face his dissapointed gaze that stuck to you. Looking at the painting on the wall behind him as you slowly explained why. From the corner of your eye, you could see as his lips parted as you looked at you with the exact look you didn't want him to. It read 'are you serious?!'
"Biancas your freind? I'm your freind too (y/n)! And you've hurt me as well by avoiding me. Biancas jealous. She always has been." Xavier exclaimed to you as he dropped your wrist. He had thought it was maybe Biancas doing. "I'm sorry Xavier..." Your hand dropped back to your side and swung for a moment before settling. The two of you stood in silence, which Xavier broke first. "You could at least make it up by actually showing up to archery today." He told you, his voice dejected as he walked off. You stood alone for a while before turning to walk away. If it wasn't enough to be guilty for upsetting Bianca, you were now upset for hurting Xaviers feelings. But you returned to your dorm to ponder on it. Bianca was pleased because you no longer spent so much time with Xavier. Though, really she wasn't exactly looking out for you. It was more so her jealousy speaking for her.
You looked at the time - 5:40PM Bianca wasn't around... and you did want to make it up to Xavier. Dragging yourself from the warmth of your bed, you got yourself ready and headed outside - wondering if you actually wanted to even go. Xavier waited patiently, looking at the time on his phone often and looked around to see if you were around. He doubted you'd come, but he stood and waited for a person who may not ever come. It took you a while to get yourself down there, but you got outside. The fresh air coming across your face waking you up a little. Xavier saw you and relief came over him, and really he was happy. He couldn't hide the smile that hinted at his lips. "You're late (y/n) not really like you to be late like this." Xaviers tone so much lighter than it had been before. You noticed it. You croxed a laugh from your lips. "Yeah I'm sorry, but you can't say anything yourself. But I'm surprised you're here on time." Your voice perked up as you walked past him to grab a bow. It had been a while since you picked one up since you'd been avoiding Xavier. "I was waiting for you." Xavier told you with a smile on his lips before he turned to shove his hair up into a bun. Grabbing a hair tie from his wrist and slipped his long hair away from his face. The sides of his face showing.
"Wow... I didn't think you'd be this rusty. You definitely need more lessons." Xavier grimaced at the way you kept on missing, or just barely hitting the target. It made you genuinely laugh, finally a proper smile on your lips. "I know I know, but to be fair I haven't touched this thing in like twoish weeks so don't be harsh on me." You whined to Xavier while holding the bow and positioned your shoulders properly, or well... you attempted. The air around you lifted as you were able to joke about with Xavier more.
Before you parted your ways, Xavier stood infront of you again stopping you from leaving. "Promise you won't let Bianca do this again?" He looked down at you with his eyes narrowed. You nodded happily in reply. "Promise." You held out your pinky finger infront of you. Xavier gave a nasaly laugh as he locked pinkies with you, wrapping his pinky around yours. He pulled your hand closer to his chest. His face was so gentle in that moment while he looked at you. His eyes soft pools and his lashes batting at you. Only now you noticed how big and delicate his hands were. "Good, I missed my freind." He rolled his eyes before he left. "I'll see you around, so don't try avoid me." He joked while he waved at you. You smiled and waved back at him as you shook your head. You felt so much more relived now, your stomach lighter with less worry now. Plus Xavier was good at making people feel better, he was a radiant person to be about.
Xavier left you a text not long after you had left his view. Xavier : 'My dorm tomorrow? We have a project to finish. ' Well he was straight forward.

Twas in inspired by @jackwolfes wip Wednesday so uhh, here's a lil wip from the second chapter of the Cowboy au
“Ila!” Jesper jumped in surprise, ripping his arm free from the grey mare. Both of them turned in the direction of the voice, Jesper with his hands leaping to his guns and the mare with her ears pricked for the first time.
He blinked, taking the newcomer in.
“Wylan?” Wylan—because it was Wylan Van Eck—ignored him, quickly jogging up the rest of the way. “I’m so sorry for her,” he was saying, “was she being mean? She’s always being mean, don’t take it personally—oh hello.” The mare had shoved her head into Wylan’s face as soon as he could close enough, whickering gently.
Jesper, still surprised at Wylan’s random appearance, jutted his thumb in the mares direction, “she yours?” he asked rather uselessly, considering Wylan was cradling the mares white head in his arms. At least, for a moment, before she jerked her head away once more, glaring over at Jesper.
“What? Oh, yeah, this is Ila,” Wylan said distracting, brows furrowed, “what are you doing here anyway?”
Jesper blinked. “Me? I literally live here. What are you doing here?”
“Live—I thought you lived at the Crow Club?”
Jesper tried --and subsequently failed--to hold back his eyeroll. “This is the Crow Club Wylan.” He deadpanned, watching with some amusement as realization made Wylan’s blue eyes grow wide. “Oh,” he said, cheeks flushing gently.
“Yes. Oh.”
Wylan nodded jerkily, fumbling for his fancy bridle with a distracted air. Jesper found that for some reason, he didn’t really want Wylan to go again so soon.
It had been five –nearly six—days since Jesper’d last seen him, and he hated realising that he’d almost missed him.
“Wait!” His voice sounded weak even to his own ears, vulnerable, desperate. For what? Whatever the reason, it was dangerous territory. He gestured down the aisle to where his horse was watching them both curiously. “You haven’t met Pie yet.” Wylan blinked, following his gaze. “Pie?”
Feeling rather put on the spot, and only just a bit foolish, Jesper nodded. “Yeah! I’ve met your horse, it’s only right you should meet mine.”
Right. As if any of what they did was right.

WIP Wednesday!
combining last line tags from the wonderful @hgejfmw-hgejhsf and @rockyroadkylers with a wip wednesday tag from the ever-lovely @leaves-of-laurelin 💖
so… i know i said that ‘tis the damn season au was up next. but kensington divergence angst has been haunting me lately.
If there’s one thing that can always bring Alex back to himself, it’s channeling that Golden Boy Charm. He can let his tongue linger on a deeper hint of Southern drawl. He can angle a coy smirk and lower his lashes in the way he knows has gotten plenty of congressman to slip him secrets.
Alex Claremont-Diaz is nothing if not universal appeal. The epitome of America’s Heartthrob. The thing everyone wants a chance to touch, to take just the briefest taste of.
Alex knows how to be something coveted. He knows it better than he knows the rest of himself most days.
So, it should come easily— the dizzying haze of neon lights and reverberating bass through the club. The alcohol-sticky floors and sweat-heavy air should be familiar, a kind of home coming.
The slip of his hand into a pretty blonde’s back pocket, the roll of his eyes down her throat when she kicks her head back in a laugh, the easy pull of her lips against his own… It should all feel effortless.
It shouldn’t send him skittering to the bathroom. Shouldn’t have him on his knees against the grimy tile, heaving into the toilet.
Yet here he is, sick only at the mere knowledge that he’s carelessly thrown away this thing. The last lingering momento of Henry. The claim of bright blue eyes and piano-agile fingers to have been the last ones to touch him.
This last piece of Henry he could hold onto as his. Gone.
what’s cooking in those beautiful brains of yours? @happiness-of-the-pursuit @saintlynomenclature @read-and-write- @affectionatelyrs @inexplicablymine @anincompletelist @wordsofhoneydew @matherines 💖

Wednesday prompt: Alec and Magnus having a series of near-misses before actually meeting, ie: being at the same rift but on separate sides, arriving after the other departs, etc.
i hope you enjoy where i ended up going with this! thank you for the prompt!
-
Alec curses as he falls, the tentacle of a demon curling around his ankle and yanking him from the roof. He didn’t sense it, so focused on protecting his siblings’ back but here, there is no one to have his back.
Alec focuses on what weapons he’ll need, because he’ll survive the fall, but he might not survive the demon dragging him down.
The fight that follows when he half-crashes into a demon’s maw is brutal and bloody and Alec rips out several of its teeth before he can finally find an opening in softness of its gums and shove an adamas tipped arrow in its brain.
It’s the first time he’s killed in close combat with arrows instead of a sword and he stares at his hands, the stinging pain of them and in front of him, he can see an explosion of magic.
It’s beautiful and brilliant and something in him yearns to step forward, to move closer… but Alec’s legs give out and he grits his teeth, resetting the broken femur he’s been ignoring. It snaps into place with an echo of magic and Alec activates his iratze and wonders if maybe he hit his head harder than he thought.
Magnus sidesteps a wad of venom and sighs as it disintegrates the asphalt. It’s always so tedious to fight in an urban setting, but Magnus enjoys Brooklyn and Brooklyn enjoys him.
It’s with a sigh that he whips fiery magic around the demon and brings it to heel, caging its massive head in with more and more bands until it can only screech and rattle.
Magnus is done milking its venom in minutes and as soon as he’s finished, he snaps his fingers, the magical bonds searing through it until there is nothing left but ash.
There’s another demon, sluggish and slow and it thinks it’s tracking Magnus. He turns, ready to trap it and instead watches as a ray of moonlight cuts through the air, fletched with red as it sinks into the demon’s skull. The shot of the archer was beautiful, especially when Magnus follows the trajectory and sees a tall, dark silhouette on a roof. The archer is already turning away, arrows flying as he culls the demons from above.
There’s a sense of poetry, to seeing a nephilim so high, as if he’s one of Raziel’s truly beloved. For a moment, Magnus imagines that the nephilim will sprout wings and soar… but instead the shadowhunter takes three steps backwards and then takes off, running across the roof until they jump, gliding through the air until they land on another roof.
It’s crude yet elegant and Magnus idly collects divinely scattered demon ash into a jar and wonders.
Alec groans as he stares across the observation deck. Jace is looking worse and worse and while Alec wants to be there when the High Warlock arrives, it’s not a necessity.  Which, Alec is thankful for seeing as it seems he’ll be hauling about half of his shadowhunters to the infirmary.
Alec never notices the tall, well-dressed man who walks into the Institute with a smirk on his face and magic in his step. He doesn’t see a curious gaze lingering on him.
Instead, he focuses on carrying the five shadowhunters who all seem to have come down with the same illness to the infirmary.
Alec is sure that his shadowhunters will find a more than suitable cure for their hangovers, and then he’ll cure them of their stupidity in drinking before an important event as well.
Magnus stares, transfixed at the vision in his club.
There’s something about him that’s familiar and while Magnus can tell he’s a nephilim, he’s not one that Magnus has had the pleasure of meeting. It only makes Magnus more curious, more enticed and he’s distracted as he watches his shadowhunter linger on the edges of the crowd.
Magnus watches him constantly, keeping a careful eye on his boy as he brusquely sends his client away.
He’s gone.
Vanished as if he were never here and it’s only the thrumming of his wards, intoxicated by a nephilim presence that prevent Magnus from thinking he dreamt it.
Alec struggles to keep his eyes open as he trudges through the shadows of new York. It’s dawn and while he’d like nothing more than to already be back at the Institute and asleep, he can’t risk using another rune.
Instead, his pace is slow and lumbering and it’s hard to remember the path, even though Alec’s memorized every single route possible. There’s a moment where he feels the same heady thrill of magic and he sighs, something wistful as it passes him by.
For a moment, he’d almost thought it was real and then he’s tripping, reaching out to catch himself and instead, being caught.
“Hello,” Magnus croons softly from where he managed to turn and catch his boy. “Were you just dropping by?”
It’s terrible and awful and his shadowhunter snorts, a startled sound that surprises him by the way he freezes.
“No energy for runes—” his boy tells him, carefully honest and with tired, swollen eyes that flutter shut, entranced by a taste of rest.
“Oh no, not yet pretty boy.” Magnus tells him, hooking an arm around his waist. “You’re in no condition to be going anywhere.”
Anywhere that isn’t with Magnus, that is.
There’s a confused blink, like a particularly tired cat being made to move and then his boy is buckling, going limp into Magnus’ hold. It’s as if his body is letting out a giant sigh of relief, safe in the knowledge that Magnus will catch him.
“Sleep well, darling.” Magnus murmurs as he lifts his shadowhunter up with magic and carefully picks him up.

Thank you @ramonaflow for tagging me- Last week on my way to work I came up with a new fic idea, and made time to start it. So, fresh words! New fic!
***
“This is ridiculous! I’m a grown man and run my own business! Why do I need a chauffeur?”
“Because, Son, you have wrecked three cars in less than a year! You’re lucky they weren’t any of the antiques!”
“Oh, my God. The last one should not even count! It’s not my fault that the entrance to Prada looked like a parking garage!” David mumbled.
“Yeah, well lucky your mother is good friends with the manager, otherwise you could have been arrested and be on probation right now.” Johnny Rose looked at his son and adjusted his reading glasses.
“It’s not bad, David! I really like mine!” Alexis twirled a piece of her long blonde hair.
“I’m glad it’s working out, Sweetheart. Ted is proving to be a very valuable employee.”
Last month Johnny hired Ted Mullins to drive Alexis around, and to keep an eye on her. After last summer’s hostage situation on David Geffen’s yacht by Somali pirates, Johnny decided they needed to keep better track of their daughter. He also promised Ted a bonus every time he was able to keep Alexis from running off. He has already paid Ted two times, and it has only been a month.
“Fine! Whatever! So how does this work? Are they on speed dial or something? And how is it anyone is available to drive at a moment’s notice? The whole thing sounds pretty sketchy to me.”
“He is an employee, David. He was told what the job would entail. He has a work phone, and we already programmed his info in yours. He is aware that you work three days a week at your gallery, and that you, uh, like to go out every weekend to whatever clubs you kids go to nowadays.”
“You know, David, you could probably use him as, like a date, or something, too. That’s what I do with Ted. And then I find my friends and he does whatever it is he does until I’m ready to go!”
David glared at his sister. “Absolutely not. I haven’t even met him yet, and I’m 87% sure he would not fit in with my friends. Is there any way out of doing this?”
“I don’t see how, Son. I really can’t afford for you to wreck another car. Now, if you want to move back to New York where you don’t need to drive, I’m pretty sure I could get another gallery going. We have plenty of friends in New York…” Johnny’s voice trailed off.
“I’ll have to think about it. And, what do you mean you have plenty of friends in New York? What would that have anything to do with me moving back there?”
“Hmm? Oh, nothing. Just thinking out loud. Now, kids, I’m supposed to meet your mother in an hour for dinner. So, David? We are clear about using the chauffeur?”
“I guess. What’s their name?” David threw his hands up in the air.
Johnny pulled out a paper and scanned the information. “It says here Patrick. Patrick Brewer. He came highly recommended by Ted.”
No pressure open tag for anyone who may have something to share.

WIP Wednesday - Week Seven
Landing Strips In Stars by @artifise | M | 13.1k | 3/10 | mark/seb This is a genderbent AU with a female Mark and Seb. Mark was a ballet dancer who moved across the world to further her career, until a car accident abruptly ended it. She lands a position in an orchestra as a violinist, but gets off to a bad start, and fails to impress the pretty blonde woman she had a meet cute with the night before.
Mark's life is in tatters, she's been left disabled and broke by the accident, is being controlled and condescended to by her agent and the chance at the orchestra job may be over before it starts. And what on earth is up with Seb? They got on fine the night before, yet when Mark sees her again at rehearsal, she's gone ice cold. Mark is determined to make her second career work and can't get mired in interpersonal issues.
'It’s funny how people assume ballet dancers are uptight bitches who only care about the classical world, or live their lives stuck in the minds of children, like they’re not people living in the contemporary world either. In the Before, Mark liked anything that made her feel free—hiking, dancing, clubbing, drinking. Only living in the After now makes it hard to chase that adrenaline. This is pretty close, all things considered. “You’re so far away,” Seb murmurs a few songs later, so quietly that Mark’s not sure if she’s imagining it. Anything is possible in this darkness. “You wanna get out of here?” The words manifest as a breathless growl. If she squints, she can see them pop into the air, staccato-like and dangerous.'

Summary: Besties night wasn’t supposed to end up with you pressed up against a tall, dark and handsome stranger, but here you are.
Words: 5,350
Genre: This one is a little more steamy than the previous ones I’ve posted, but nothing too out there. Not fluff ? just vibes lmao.
WARNINGS: Alcohol consumption, a little steamy (nothing too graphic or smutty though), light cursing, making out with strangers. Both parties involved are a little tipsy but entirely aware of themselves and their actions, don’t worry, they are safe and just getting a little liquid courage that’s all.
A/N: I’ve been listening to Djo’s newest album ‘Decide’ non-stop since it came out and was absolutely thrilled at the idea of boyfriend being entirely too happy by safe guarding girlfriend’s bag at a club while she dances with her friends bc it’s not really his scene, but it IS her’s and he will go along with whatever she wants and makes her happy described track #7 ‘I want your video.
Also I kinda  just wanted to write Johnny and MC having fun, grinding and kissing each other in the middle of the dance floor, so yeah, enjoy lmao.
(Also stream ‘Decide’ by Djo, it’s a really good album!!)
Read this story on AO3.

[This story alternates between 2 povs, one is MC and the other Johnny’s. Every ☆゚*・。*・ marks a change in pov. ]
The bass of the loud music is thrumming in your chest as you laugh and dance with your friends. Usually one for preferring to stay in, you’re happy you agreed to come out tonight. Dancing has always been fun for you, either in the privacy of your bedroom with a hairbrush in your hand or out in between sweaty bodies all around you.
Loud cheering from the lounge area next to yours interrupts your thoughts and you turn around to look for what caused the commotion. Among the few raised hands in the hazy air of the club, you see a guy dancing wackily, he spins and gives an exaggerated sultry look to one of his friends which makes everyone burst out laughing, even himself.
You shake your best friend Luna’s shoulder to gain her attention and gesture for her to look over. Once she does she laughs and cheers for the guy from afar raising her hand.
“He’s kinda cute” you scream into her ear over the loud music.
Instantly she looks you in the eyes and gives you an all too familiar look that you know will result in trouble for you both.
“Luna, no” you stop her before her brain comes up with more ideas.
She rolls her eyes playfully “Okay, okay. It’s besties night.”
She winks at you and you side hug her, giving one last glance at the still dancing man, you turn back to your friends who just returned with more colorful drinks effectively missing a pair of brown eyes landing on you.
☆゚*・。*・
He had one of the worst days ever at work in a long long time. His boss kept throwing task after task at him and asking for everything to be done ASAP the whole day, and no matter how many times he told her that he already had a lot of things on his plate she paid it no mind and kept pushing and pushing.
At the end of the day (with a little help from Jaehyun) everything got finished in time for them to clock out and go home.
Only they weren’t going home, not yet. It was Friday and Johnny, Jaehyun and the guys had already planned to go out since Wednesday. Now his only goal for tonight was to dance and laugh until his body ached.
Upon arrival everyone downed a shot together to get the party started and once he started to feel the buzz of the shot and the beer he had been drinking, Johnny decided it was time to dance. He stood up and started shimmying around everyone until they joined him and swayed their bodies.
Haechan, ever the comedian, started flailing his arms around exaggeratedly making everyone laugh. And Johnny, ever the guy to go along with his antics, flailed his arms in response, which immediately turned into a competition of who could make the biggest clown of themselves.
Until Haechan pulled out the Michael Jackson moves and Johnny could not, WOULD NOT, let Haechan win. So he opened his legs and dropped his ass to the floor causing everyone (including those around who weren’t a part of their group) to erupt in screams and laughter.
He continued fooling around and after the wildness and cheering toned down, the embarrassment kicked in a little, so Johnny looked around making sure the strangers around weren’t looking at him still.
His eyes landed on two girls side-hugging on the table to the right from where he was. They seemed to be turning back to their group after witnessing his and Haechan’s “epic” dance battle, the smallest from the two was smiling and her cheeks pushed her eyes to form into crescents.
Cute he thought. Maybe he wouldn’t mind adding ‘dancing with a pretty girl’ to his list tonight.
☆゚*・。*・
You feel a drop of sweat running down your spine so you think it’s time to cool down a little. Walking the few steps to the small stool, you plop down and stretch to grab an unopened water bottle from the ice tray in the center of the table.
After drinking almost half of it, Luna comes over to you “It’s so hot in here!” She screams over the loud music.
You offer her the water bottle and she finishes the rest of it. You are both singing loudly to each other to the song playing in the speakers when a spark behind Luna catches your eye.
You look closely and see one of your friends holding his lighter to light a cigarette for another guy. With the lit cigarette between his fingers the guy stands up straight and you catch sight of his face through the smoke blowing out of his mouth.
His hair is slicked back with a few strands falling attractively down his forehead, dressed in all black. You recognize him as one of the guys who was cheering for his dancing friend earlier from the table beside yours. You grab Luna’s attention and gesture behind her with a jerk of your chin, and when she turns her head to look behind her, you search to your left spotting the guy still dancing.
When Luna looks back at you, there’s a determined look in her eyes, she smiles and before you can stop her she yells over the music.
“Hey!” She says over her shoulder, catching the attention of the still smoking guy.
She starts turning and grabs your hand without looking to drag you with her closer to where the guys are standing. He waits for her to continue.
“Your friend has moves!” She gestures with her thumb to the dancing guy.
His lips turn up just the slightest in a smile, a smirk would be a more accurate way to describe. His eyes drift for a second to his friend and then back to Luna and his gaze seems to get just a tad bit darker. With a voice that seems to come straight from his chest he utters a deep “Yeah” he takes a drag out of his cigarette, “He sure does”.
His eyes turn down just a tiny bit down to give Luna a subtle once over that you do not miss. And you definitely, most certainly do not miss the way Luna seems to slightly tumble back just a little and covers it by changing her weight to rest from one leg to the other.
And you definitely know what it means to find your best friend at a loss for words.
Your brain is going wild thinking of what to do or say to get Luna out of the situation when Liz and Jackson smack a tray full of shots to the little table behind you both.
“Shooooots!” Jackson screams over the loud music beckoning you all to come closer.
You let out a cheerful “Oooh!” Grabbing Luna’s hand “Let’s go!” You tell her, you’re about to turn around when Jackson comes over screaming.
“Hurry up! We have to take them all together” he says hurriedly trying to drag you and Luna over to the little table.
You roll your eyes playfully at him “Alright, alright we’re going!” You laugh.
Once he’s sure you’re moving over to the table he turns to your friend who is still standing next to the nameless stranger.
“Come on Alex! And uhh..” Jackson pauses, waiting for the guy to say his name.
“Jaehyun” you hear him mumble behind you.
You turn to look at Luna and raise your eyebrows suggestively at her. She rolls her eyes playfully and nudges your arm with her elbow as if to say she isn’t remotely interested in knowing his name.
Jaehyun stands right in front of Luna, shot in hand (courtesy of Jackson). His eyes going back and forth to Jackson who is excitedly saying something to him you can’t hear and stealing glances at your best friend next to you.
After Jackson successfully manages to get everyone to stand around the small table and pass around the shot glasses to everyone he starts counting out loud.
“Ok, let’s go!”
“1!” Jaehyun’s eyes are now locked on Luna’s.
“2!” Luna notices and is glaring right back at him, challenging.
Jaehyun smirks and brings the shot glass up to his lips, his eyes glued on your friend.
“3!!” Jaehyun winks, and throws his head back to drink.
You almost choke in surprise before tipping your head back and swallowing the alcohol (you’re not even sure what kind it is) in one gulp, the liquid burning down your throat.
Smacking the little glass face down on the table you turn to look at Luna with a grimace on your face.
“That was disgusting!” You shout over the music and join the cheers the rest of your friends have just erupted into.
A figure appears in your peripheral vision, you turn your head back to your right, where the movement registered. Your body still facing Luna.
A tall guy with dark brown hair parted down the middle is standing next to Jaehyun, upon further inspection, you recognize his frame as the cute guy who was dancing earlier. He was taller than you expected from this close.
Eager to take a closer look, your eyes start roaming down. He’s wearing tight black jeans, and a black white polka dotted silky button up shirt. The first few buttons of his shirt are open, his pale chest peeking out, and you blame the shot you just took a few seconds ago for the way your gaze lingers on the skin on display.
Your eyes finally reach his face and you notice how pretty his lips look, and once you finally  reach his eyes he is already looking at you, one corner of his lips tilted up in a smile.
Shit, he totally caught you staring. You feel a drop of sweat run down your spine. You smile awkwardly at the tall and handsome stranger and turn your head to look back at your best friend.
Leaning into her, hand cupping your mouth “You wanna go to the bathroom?” you scream.
“Sure!” she takes your hand in hers and you both start walking, all the while you feel someone’s eyes on your back.
☆゚*・。*・
Johnny soon found his answer when his eyes landed on the backs of a pair of girls standing in front of Jaehyun. The same girls he saw hugging earlier.
Jaehyun’s eyes stuck to the taller of the two.
He wasn’t going to lie to himself and pretend he wasn’t walking over to where Jaehyun was standing right now just to try and make the shorter girl smile and get a closer look than what he saw earlier.
Taking the few steps over, he patted Jaehyun’s left shoulder effectively turning his attention from the girl currently talking with her friend (who was scrunching her nose in a very cute way, albeit rather disgusted), to him.
“Taking shots without me?” he joked.
Jaehyun smiled, in that way that almost always looked like a smirk.
“I didn’t want to interrupt your… sick moves” he said, the last part glancing at the girls in front of them.
“How considerate” he replied back, giving his best friend a knowing look that made him laugh.
And that’s when he noticed her checking him out. Her brown eyes big (in contrast to how he remembered seeing them last) intently going from his exposed chest, stopping for half a second at his lips and then finally landing on his own eyes.
Feeling a surge of confidence, he thanked his past self for his fashion choices, which he totally chose on purpose. He stared back giving her an honest smile which she returned quickly before looking back at her friend next to her and shouting something intelligible into her ear which resulted in them taking each other's hands and turning to walk in the opposite direction.
His attention was diverted when he felt a nudge at his shoulder. When he turned to look at Jaehyun he found a similar look he himself gave to his friend a few minutes before. It was almost scary how they could see right through each other sometimes.
He nudged Jaehyun back, “Where’s my shot?” he asked.
Jaehyun reached for one of the tiny glasses forgotten in the middle of the little table and handed it to him.
“Cheers” he said, clicking Jaehyun’s empty shot glass with his. Both their eyes returned to the girls walking away.
☆゚*・。*・
The line at the bathroom was short, you stopped to stand at the back of it and turned to face Luna.
“Dude, he totally caught me gawking at him.”
She laughed, “who?”
“That guy! The one we saw slut dropping earlier”
A look of realization crossed her features “He’s the same one? The one you thought was cute?”
“Yes!” you cover your face with your hands in embarrassment before continuing, “He probably thinks I have the hots for him now, which I do, but he doesn’t need to kno-”
Luna cuts off your rant “Oh come on, because it’s so bad to have a pretty girl checking you out” she rolls her eyes playfully before continuing.
“I’m more concerned with the fact that he seems to be friends with that.. guy” she says the last word with disdain.
“Who? Jaehyun?” you take a step forward, the line advancing.
She makes an annoyed face “Is that his name? He looks like the most arrogant ass I’ve seen in a while. And I’ve seen a lot.”
You can’t stop the laugh that bursts out. “What?” you ask, grabbing her arm to pull her forward as the line advances more, bringing you two to the front.
“Did you see the way he looked at me?” She asks, offended.
“Yeah, like he wants to completely eat you alive? Like he would JUMP at any opportunity to get you to look his way? Yeah, I saw that.”
“Whatever” she says, fighting hard to bite back the traces of her smile that she would be able to hide if you were anyone else other than her best friend. You can read her like an open book and she knows, but she would rather chew glass than to admit a guy (derogatory), scratch that a handsome guy, left her utterly speechless 3 words in.
“Mhmm” you hum.
After you’re done with your business, you meet up at the sinks. Washing your hands and re-touching your makeup side by side.
“Do you think they’ll still be there when we go back?” you ask after reapplying your lipstick.
“You might want to look your best if they are.” she replies, offering you the small perfume you gave her to keep in her purse.
Taking one final look in the mirror, you adjust your blue top and start heading out of the bathroom and back to everyone, Luna’s arm clasped around yours so as to not lose each other in the crowd.
Sure enough, both men are still there when you return, still talking to Alex.
As if sensing your presence, Jaehyun looks at Luna for like a second before returning his attention to the still talking man in front of him and his friend.
You see him nudge his friend with his elbow while still nodding along at whatever Alex is still ranting about.
The taller guy starts to turn his head to look your way, but before his eyes can catch up with his head, you pretend not to notice them and turn to Luna.
“It’s really hot in here” you tell her, gathering your hair into a ponytail and fanning your neck with your free hand.
Luna looks over to you nodding, she opens her mouth to say something but gets cut off when you both hear the song that has just started to play.
‘Heads will roll" by the Yeah Yeah Yeahs, your favorite song to dance to. You freeze for a second and then turn to look at Luna with wide eyes “OH MY GOD!!” you scream and you both start swaying your hips and screaming the lyrics to each other excitedly.
Every one of your friends knows you absolutely love this song, they all look at you and start cheering and dancing around you.
Alex even interrupts his talking to look over and point at you with his finger while he laughs at your excited dancing which ultimately brings the attention of both his companions over to you.
You move your hips to the beat of the song, loudly (and terribly) singing along to the lyrics, trying, and failing not to smile and ignore the pair of eyes you still feel on you.
Alex rounds the table over to where your dancing circle is standing and joins the fun, his  mysterious friends trailing behind and joining in too.
Jaehun was standing to your right, but a single pat on the shoulder from his friend (who you’ve yet to know the name of) resulted in him scooting away and making space for his taller companion to claim the spot next to you.
You feel his arm bump into you constantly with both your movements. The material of his polka dotted shirt feels soft in your skin, causing occasional shivers to erupt down your arms.
A group of people passed by behind you, one of the guys bumping into his back resulting in him almost tripping over you and bumping into your arm extra hard.
You stumble a little, a giggle escaping your mouth.
His hand instantly reaches over to your forearm to steady you.
When you look up, you find him already looking down at you. An apologetic smile on display.
He leans over to reach your ear “Sorry!”, he says, squeezing the arm that he hasn’t let go of yet. His whole body is now facing you instead of the center of your dancing circle.
And oh, he’s really close. Not close enough.
You lift your free arm and place it on his shoulder, you hope he gets it. The need to be close, to touch.
Using his arm as support, you get on your tiptoes to reach his ear and lean a little into him, “I don’t mind, don’t worry”.
Because you honestly didn’t, in fact you were hoping he kept bumping into you. Preferably with his mouth, bumping into yours… repeatedly.
When you lean back into your true height, you sneak a glance up to his face and catch the second his eyes flicker down to look at your lips before the corners of his own tilt upwards in delight.
He got it.
Your head started to turn back to your friends still dancing around you, your hand slowly running down his arm and lifting to let him go.
The second he noticed and felt the lightweightedness of your hand, he brought your attention back to him by catching your hand in his.
He let go of your forearm and brought his hand up to cup next to his mouth and brought his face closer to yours again.
“I think we’d be safer dancing closer together,” he says with a wolfish smile. His breath ghosting over your neck.
“Oh really?” you say, eyebrows lifting upwards, incredulously laughing.
His smile grew, just a hint of wickedness to his eyes.
“Yeah,” he nodded, proud. Like he just had the best idea ever.
“Big crowd and all” he finished, gesturing to the moving sweaty bodies around you but paying them half a thought while his eyes stayed on you, waiting.
Laughing, you pretend to think it over.
“I guess that would be practical” you answer, taking one step forward, the smell of his cologne catching you a little off guard.
He smells really good, citrusy and a little earthy.
He lifts your intertwined hands and brings yours back down, placing it on his left shoulder again, like it belongs there.
After patting your hand in place, he brings his back down slowly and lets it hover near your waist, like he is asking if you’re okay with it.
You look up to him through your lashes and smile, reaching for it and bringing it down to touch your waist just as you start swaying to the beat of the song playing. He lets out his breath through his nose in a laughing matter and sways along with you.
“Since we are sharing personal space,” you start “I think I have automatically gained access to your name”
“Johnny” he answers. You say it back to him, testing the syllables on your mouth before introducing yourself to him.
He gives you a nod and says your name back to you, signaling that he got it.
Looking around, you catch Luna’s eyes, and she gives you a smug look lifting her drink in the air as if to cheer for you getting to dance with the cute guy you liked.
You widen your eyes at her and smile in disbelief like ‘look at me dancing with this pretty guy right now’, when you notice a dark figure coming closer to her. Jaehyun.
You throw the same smug look and a little nod as she did you a few seconds ago and she seems confused until Jaehyun leans in close and whispers something in her ear, and then she understands.
Good for her. She deserves to be swept off her feet once in a while.
Once again, you take advantage of the music being so loud, and lean into Johnny to speak in his ear and ask him, “Can I trust your friend with my best friend?”
He looks over to where you gestured with a lean of your head and understands your question.
“Oh, for sure. Jaehyun’s a cool dude. And if he’s not, I’ll hold him so you can punch his face in if he disrespects your friend, don’t worry.”
You burst out laughing, and something in his tone when he says that tells you he really would.
“And what about you? Can I trust you?” you ask him playfully.
“Of course you can, I’m keeping you safe from stumbling drunks bumping into you right now, aren’t I?”
You don’t seem entirely too convinced though, so he adds “Besides, I’ll punch myself in the face if I ever do something to ruin my chances with you.”
And it makes your stomach flutter a little, the way that he so openly admits that he likes you. Or it could be the alcohol you’ve consumed finally catching on to you.
Either way you decide to do what you do best. Deflect your shy blush with humor, so you ignore his comment and tease him back.
“And what makes you think you have any chances?” you laugh. A dumb question, he must know you like him too, you’ve always been way too obvious in your feelings, a heart on your sleeve kinda gal.
But the way his hands feel on your waist makes your brain slow.
He lifts up a brow, confused, and leans in just that little bit more to look closer into your eyes.
“I don’t?” he asks, a little amused.
Your bodies now moving out of rhythm. Too slow to go along with the upbeat song playing and the rapid moving bodies around you.
His breath is hot on your face, and you can only think about how warm his lips would feel, if you just leaned in that little bit more.
“You do.” you whisper, daring a quick glance down at his parted lips.
“Good.” you can read on his lips more than hear, before he leans in the rest of the way and closes the fraction of distance between you both.
And it feels good, so good that your brain shuts down and forgets to make your lips move and kiss back. Too caught up in how good the way the press of his lips feels, but you are barely able to enjoy it when he pulls away, cutting it short, too short.
Your eyes open, confused. And you see it in his face, the slight panic that you may have thought he was going too fast, it was too forward of him.
But that’s not quite right, you try to collect yourself and reassure him as quickly as you can, that you want this. That it was entirely too short of a kiss and it doesn’t even count as one!
Your outrage and tipsiness makes you a little more uncoordinated than usual.
So when you take his face in your hands and pull him in again, your chins knock together. And it doesn’t hurt you, but maybe it hurts him and you think you are entirely messing this up.
Johnny pulls you away by gently tugging your hair. And it makes your vision go a little blurry around the edges, going insane a little. You end up staring back up at him, your mouth parted open in a gasp. And his smile is big and charming.
The gentle caress of his thumb behind your ear, is the only warning he gives before diving back in, and it makes you groan a little in satisfaction, instantly kissing back.
You can feel how he tries hard not to let his smile interrupt your kissing.
The confident prick, you pull back with a loud smack to catch your breath. Your noses touching, you look up at him almost daring.
You gently swipe your tongue along his bottom lip and he frantically pulls you closer by your hips, your hands going around his neck, your chests pressing together.
And it’s your turn now, to try not to smile into the kiss.
You can feel his hands gently caressing the lower part of your back, your own tugging the short hair at his nape lightly.
And the thing is, you've kissed people before, not that many but kissing is not entirely new for you. But it has never felt this good before. And you don’t know what else to do with yourself, feeling a little dazed. And tomorrow when you are sober, you might blame the alcohol for this feeling, if only to save face when you tell Luna about it.
The need to breathe ultimately makes you start pecking each other to allow yourselves to catch your breaths slowly, but unwilling to stop kissing altogether.
When your breathing slows down, you are able to pull back just a little to look at Johnny. The smile on his face mirroring yours quickly interrupted by a playful frown when you pull a little too far for his liking and he presses you back into his chest with the hand still on your back and starts dancing to the beat of the song again.
The dancing resumes, your bodies a little bit closer now that is clear you are both into each other. Kisses are exchanged every time one of you makes the other laugh by singing badly or a funny face while dancing. Not as slow as the first (second?)  kiss, but just as good.
You are not sure you will get to kiss him again after tonight, but for now you are content to enjoy yourself and not think about what will happen tomorrow.
Eventually the suffocating heat of the sweaty bodies around you, and Johnny’s towering body pressed to yours gets to be a little too much and you need a break to hydrate yourself.
He pecks you quickly again when you tell him, before nodding and taking one of your hands in his as he starts to lead the way and move people out of the way so you can get back to the little table where the small bucket with ice cold water awaits.
While you cool yourself down, you start looking around for Luna, last time you saw her she was standing here, Jaehyun by her side like a shadow.
A poke to your side startles you and you turn to find Luna standing there, a big knowing smile on her face. Jaehyun trailing not far behind her.
Upon closer look, you notice Luna’s sparkly lip gloss (which she had definitely reapplied in the bathroom before) seems to have disappeared.
Just as you’re wondering if she got another drink without you, you hear Jaehyun laughing and turn your eyes to look at him.
Finding a very interesting spark of glitter on one corner of his mouth.
Now that you notice, his lips look a bit swollen too.
Your eyes narrow and you look back at Luna, confirming her lips to be in the same swollen and reddened state as his.
You wiggle your eyebrows at her.
“What?” she asks, laughing.
“Mmm nothing, you wanna dance?” you ask her, a smug look on your face.
“Absolutely”
She takes your hand to start pulling you out of the impromptu hall that people are going to and from beside your little table, but you turn back to look at Johnny.
“You wanna come?” you ask him and then turn to look at Jaehyun beside him, extending the invite to him too.
He doesn’t even look at his friend for confirmation, “Sure” and takes your other hand, Jaehyun following.
You start dancing around with Luna in front of you, both of you leaning into each other and laughing.
When she’s close enough to be able to hear you, you feign a surprised face and reach over to the corner of your mouth.
“You have a little smudge”
She looks absolutely guilty, like you just caught her eating cookies before dinner. She quickly reaches up to her mouth to wipe it away only to find it clean.
You burst out laughing, “So interesting how Jaehyun’s mouth looks a lot more glossy than before, don’t you think?” you whisper yell into her ear.
She gently pushes you away “Oh like you’re any better ma’am!” she returns playfully, making you laugh.
A hot flash goes up to your face and you squeeze your best friend in a hug.
The four of you spend the rest of the night dancing together and having fun, occasionally breaking apart into couples, much to Luna’s pretend annoyance.
A few hours later, you reach out to grab your coat to put on and head home, when Johnny beats you to it and helps you shrug it on over your shoulders.
“You know, I was thinking you will definitely need coffee tomorrow when you wake up” he starts nonchalantly.
And you know where he’s going, and the thought that this moment may not be as fleeting as you thought it would thrills you.
“Mmm probably”, you say. Not having the heart to tell him you don’t actually drink coffee, at all.
“So, what do you say I pick you up and we go get some” He pauses, “Together”.
“I mean if you want to.” he adds.
You quickly pull out your phone from your crossbody bag, unlock it and hand it to him.
“Oh definitely”
He beams a little, taking your phone and calling himself.
He leans in close, “See you tomorrow then” he slides your phone back into your hand.
You take advantage of the closeness and turn your head to peck his cheek.
“Goodnight.”
☆゚*・。*・
When next Friday rolls around, Johnny goes out again. A little more tired but entirely too content to stay on the sidelines this time.
A neon crossbody bag hanging across his chest into his left side and a pretty girl with glitter across her cheeks dancing with her best friend and throwing smiles his way every now and then.
The kisses he gets to steal as soon as she comes back to him to cool off in between her dancing giving a lifetime of jokes and teasing material to Jaehyun standing at his side.
But he doesn't mind.
Not when Johnny gets to tease him back about the undeniable crush Jaehyun has on your best friend and her apparent need to tell him that even if she likes him back (“Just a little, don’t flatter yourself Jae”) he’s not as cool as he thinks himself to be.
