The 'Great' MHA Read Along, Part Two (Chapters 5-7): The Aizawa-ing.
*checks last post, gets more than one like*
*blinks*
Huh. Well. OK then. Let's do another one, I guess.
And, literally the first panel? Bakugou. Wow, Bakugou is so great, so strong...
Bakugou scored zero rescue points. Zero. He was the only one, as far as we know, to get zero points and still pass... and that doesn't concern you at all? Considering most people didn't almost die like Izuku and Ochako, then the bar for 'rescue points' honestly must have been in the ground, like helping someone when they fell or something. And here, in UA, an elite school for Heroes, whose job is to save people, Bakugou scored zero rescue points. Like, I don't expect him to not get in over this, but it'd be nice if, instead of everyone fawning over him, from literally page one, someone could go, 'Hey, I don't like the looks of that'.
Then we transition to Izuku and All Might, and I guess that answers the question of, 'Why couldn't All Might help Izuku get in?': because he knew Izuku wouldn't want that.
I. I'm actually not sure of that? He wouldn't want attention, at least. But whatever, ultimately, the problem I have with that is All Might literally just dropped him in the exam with absolutely zero Quirk experience when, from all accounts, he could helped him get in somehow, Mr. Number One Hero, but....
Alright, bear with me a second. In theory, letting him earn his way is fine, but in practice, there's no fucking way Izuku should have passed if he didn't accidently crack the morality cheat for this exam, and it doesn't take a rocket scientist to realize this. At the same time, though, it's clear he doesn't deserve to be recommended student, yet, because again, he's a total noob, and I doubt he'd pass that exam, either, since it's just a giant race.
I think, ultimately, the problem here is Izuku is in a position where there's no reasonable way for him to pass, period. And I can't really blame anyone other than Hori, since, you know, author, and it goes back to what I said last time about he just set up Izuku to struggle for struggling's sake. And the thing is, he could still have had a hard time at at exam, but not have been so damn helpless about it; I mean, in all honesty the only reason Uraraka survived (as far as we can tell those robots are not safety proofed) is that he just so happened to have his Baby's First Quirk moment at that very moment, and since his Quirk is on the level of a fucking god he accidentallyed a robot that could step on a fucking Gundam. If it wasn't for protagonist level plot armor, in other words, Ochako should be dead, which... is a realization. Izuku has no way to fight the robots, or win the race, other then exploding himself, and this setup, for someone who is theoretically supported by the most powerful and influential man in the country, who is literally on the staff, doesn't really make sense. It'd be one thing if was literally nobody, but he's not: he's All Might's apprentice and heir. He is the exact opposite of nobody, but the story never really treats his situation like that; it be easy enough for them to swing it as him being Heroic royalty if All Might and Izuku were more pretentious (you could debate about the destabilizing effect of that, but all things considered All Might retiring and/or having an heir before everything went to shit actually could have been helpful, even if it made Izuku's life infinitely more complicated).
I just don't like that whole situation, basiclly, both with Izuku's capabilities and how hands off All Might suddenly is when he was helping him train daily literally to the actual day of the exam.
And then All Might admits he saw the problem of Izuku's control coming and did... nothing about that. Is. Is the reason All Might is inside OFA because it took his entire personality on the way out? A few chapters ago he was worried about Izuku exercising too hard, and now he's all, 'It's fine', with this apocalyptically powerful Quirk? And, now that it's established that there is a problem with his control, why isn't he trying to help with that problem? Like... at all?
See, this is what I was talking about last time: Arc One All Might is this committed, focused trainer who is expertly pushing Izuku's body just a hair from his absolutely limits on the daily and devotes large portions of his time to helping him improve. Arc Two All Might is just letting him blow up his arms for no apparent reason, while barely ever having time for the child with the legacy of his teacher and like, the primeval spirit of heroics inside him.
And, to top it off, there's the knowledge that he's never going to recover from this change; it only get worse from this point on.
Good bye, Competent Might. I'll miss you.
...And, here's Bakugou. And, with peerless Bakugou Logic (TM), even though he's in the best heroic school period, he's still treating his classmates as extras. Literally.
Pause here; random tangent time.
You know, early Bakugou's story has the shape of a 'big fish in a little pond' story, but have you realized his Quirk is perfect for that as well?
So, the thing is Explosion is a good Quirk, but it's just that: good. It's better than... seventy, eighty percent of Quirks we see, than most of his classmates. Then there's presumably another ten percent of equal Quirks, somewhere....
And then that last ten percent make Explosion look like kid shit. It's hard to remember with how chronically underused it is, but Momo's Quirk is terrifying with some work. I would bet that there's a chemical that neutralizes nitro she could pull out, which would neatly defang Bakugou, for example. Or, a blast of water, to get rid of his sweat, so there's nothing for him to blow up. Or, his actual, canon weakness, cold; fire extinguishers, anyone?
And that's not even mentioning Shoto. And this isn't later story Shoto, who is a side character in his own story, oh no, this is Earlyroki, who can solo the entire class with minimal effort on his part (except Izuku, but that's the starting point of their relationship, Shoto acknowledge him as a potential threat). This is Shoto before the nerfs rolled in.
The set up for the 'small pond' shit is honestly perfect, but Hori just never commits to it. Worse yet, to get around the limits he put in on Bakugou's Quirk, he just... starts breaking his own rules, all the way back with the Sports Festival (coming... at some point!), and it's super disappointing when you realize how great this could have been for realigning Bakugou's ego.
...Alright. Got off track there. Let's stop talking about Bakugou, and start talking about Iida! Iida who apologizes, and acknowledges Izuku! Iida who calls out Bakugou on his shit! Far more wholesome.
And then Uraraka shows up, and I'm pretty sure this is the end of his, 'OMG a girl I literally can't talk' phase, but again, nice to see someone acknowledge Izuku's existence and not hate him...
Ah, Bakugou flashback. I don't hate this, for once, because while it's Bakugou's flashback, it's about Izuku, and his growth, and him standing up for himself, even a little bit. Self affirmation is always nice to see...
And there's a homeless man who broke in! How talented. Wait, that's not a homeless man, that's just an adult who doesn't give a shit about personal hygiene!
(If you're new here, welcome to my blog. As you may have realized, I am not an Aizawa stan.)
(And yes, Bakugou, you tell that ball to die. How dare it be round!)
Welcome, everyone to Eraserhead Land, a world where you don't need to know things like where the consoler is, because mental health for law enforcement personal armed with dangerous superpowers is for losers! Welcome ceremony? Feeling accomplishment about getting into a top school? Possibly learning important things when everyone is gathered in one place? Naaah. If you're not stressed, miserable, and on edge, you're not doing it right!
To those unfamiliar with my posts, you may think I'm joking. I'm not.
Literally, the whole, 'Last place gets expelled bit'? Is because the kids were excited. All Might confirms that, yes, Aizawa absolutely would have kicked someone out.
Dadzawa Fans: 'Ah yes, the "Aizawa Critical" theory. The idea that Dadzawa is false and that the man in question is in fact deeply flawed and acts in incredibly traumatizing and Quirkist ways that should have massive negative repercussions on everyone he has ever taught. We have dismissed this claim.'
Me, deadass watching Aizawa prepare to kick someone out of school because some kids were happy: *blinks in visible confusion*
...This is a man in deep need of therapy. Which probably explains his views on guidance counselors.
Oh, and then Izuku neatly sums up my problem with how his life goes, that can basiclly be applied at any given moment : "My (insert normal thing here) has turned into a huge ordeal!"
Anyways, time for a bunch of tests that, by design, Eraserhead could never pass. And of course, we can't go five minutes (or five seconds, sometimes), without yet another demonstration of how unreasonable Bakugou is, what with him blasting Izuku in the race, which is actual sabotage.
Aizawa... sees no problem with this, apparently. Give it a couple of years, and we'll see an enterprising class take that to its logical conclusion, and murder and/or maim one or more of their fellow classmates for the win!
And now we have a flashback where, surprisingly (? I'm not actually sure if that should be surprising at this point) All Might actually tried to advise Izuku... by basiclly telling him to dial it back, but otherwise to figure it out himself.
You.... You had this Quirk. This exact Quirk. Why is your advice so useless?
Then we have a single panel of the long jump where I half think Bakugou ended up sabotaging Izuku again; why are these kids doing all these at the same time, again?
And then it comes out: Aizawa had already singled out Izuku, even before class, for him passing the exam at all, which didn't 'make sense'.
(With how the exam was set up, Izuku could have passed with minimal stress on his part if he just helped people instead of trying to deal with the robots all. Unironically, I don't think you actually need to interact with the robots at all, in the exam about fighting the robots. This is, as far as I can tell, a valid strategy, and it's not Izuku's fault that it rewards people for helping, bloody fuck.)
I'd bet this entire thing was just because of Izuku, so he could bump him out with minimal justification on his part. He flat out says he doesn't like All Might (an 'insufferable' hero) and compares Izuku to him directly. Like, god this is so damn targeted, and we have All Might watching, internally monologuing about how Eraserhead hates him and he's helpless to protect Izuku...
...Some the fuck how. The Number One Hero is helpless to protect his heir from a clearly biased attempt to get rid of him, when the principal is in the know about important he is. And he seems remarkably fine with his student's seemingly impediment expulsion.
'I can't help him! I'm just going to stand here watching from behind a corner instead of making sure Nezu knows how ABSOLUTELY LIVID I'll be if he gets expelled, or preparing to leverage my immense fame and influence to help, or maybe threatening Eraserhead if he takes his dislike of me out on an innocent student! Nope, no way I can contribute here, oh well, sorry for being such a waste of space Izuku, you're on your own.'
...What the fuck is this? This doesn't make sense! I bought into the narrative of this the first time I read it but now that I've stopped to think about it for five seconds this entire arc is collapsing in on itself.
Why did you make Izuku's mentor the most powerful person on the planet, with the ability to command legions of devoted fans, who single handedly changed how an entire country looks at heroes, if you were going to make him so fucking helpless?!
And then, the cherry on top of all of this is Izuku 'grows' by only breaking his finger, and this fills Aizawa with apparent delight.
Bloody hell. Here, let me summarize my impression of Aizawa after reading this arc again:
"The longer Eraserhead is observed, the more terrible a teacher he becomes."
And now we reach the next chapter, where Bakugou promptly attacks Izuku for the crime of having a Quirk, and Aizawa stops him before... whining. About dry eye.
Mr. "I expel entire classes" yet again sees no problem with students fighting each other, apparently, which is more evidence for my Bloody Mist style Class 1-A theory; we already have discount Kakashi, whose entire character is basiclly badly copied copy ninja characterization, so we might as well get young!Zabuza or something as well.
Oh, I almost forgot Aizawa's first lesson to his students: you can never trust anything I say, ever, because I can, and will, lie to you, for no reason at all, at any moment at all, even when what you think are real-life consequences are on the line, and if you fall for it that's your mistake for falling for a 'logical ruse'.
Talk about a trust building exercise, huh? Clearly, this is Best Father Figure.
Meanwhile, can I mention how nonsensical All Might teaching when he has a time limit is? Why the hell is he wasting his waning moments of power, which could be used for so many more important things than standing there while the students gawk at him? Teach as Skele-Might, or watch the security cameras or something.
...Huh. My translation doesn't have 'Dekiru' in it, even though we had Ochaka accidently call Izuku Deku. Was that later or did whoever did this just not put it in...?
Welp. This was immensely frustrating. Good thing the next arc isn't going to have anything at all concerning, SOD breaking, or horrible in it, right?

Hey!!
I hope you are well! ♡ Remember to rest and eat and drink some water if you haven't yet ! <3
I was wondering if I could I request comfort fic for Shoto and/or Deku where the reader had to move on their own after just turning 18, because of her parents decided to move 4 hours away, but they had to stay behind because of her studies in the UA.
She feels good at living alone at first and they were supposed to celebrate her birthday later on, (because they were packing and cleaning on her orig b'day. )
But on a phone call  with her mother, she says she doesn't know when they will have time to do that since they have other things coming up and they don't really have time. And just watching them live their lives without her.
And now she just feels like she's just outside of the family and out of their lives now, and that she's just on her own now, alone. Like she isn't really that important to them anymore., and will get forgotten. (even though it's not true)
I hope you have a good day!❤
Remember that you are amazing!! <3

Choicale Prompt #4
Okay so Boku No Hero Academia/My Hero Academia au where they meet in UA and fall in love. Cale claims doesn't even wanna be a hero. He says he only got in because of recommendations (he placed first in the obstacle course race). He says the only reason he hasn't dropped out is bc hero's make a stupid amount of money and if he gets royalties and such he can retire early. Of course this is all just what he says. He actually cares deeply about people and helps them the only way he knows how, the same way the hyungs who saved him did. His quirk would be Elemental Manipulation which covers most of his ancient powers. The other powers like Dominating Aura and Record are just Cale being Like That™️.
Choi Han lost his family in a villain attack that forced his quirk, Dark Aura, to activate due to trauma. He fell into a deep depressive episode for a while until a young boy with red hair found him on the streets and took him home. That boy's family helped him get back in touch with his remaining living relatives: his grandfather and nephew-uncle (eldest sister's son, large age gap makes him old enough to be a hyung or uncle). That young boy inspired him to become a hero so he can't believe his luck when he finds out the boy is in the same class as him!
And for some more setting Eurhaben is their homeroom teacher, Pendrick is the school nurse or smth, Bud is an underground hero or vigilante and Fredo is the mole on the hero's side that rats out Big Bad Villain™️ White Star. Toonka and Errol go to a different hero school like Ketsubutsu and Paseton and Witira go to Shiketsu. Ron has a stealth quirk and is a retired underground pro who ended up working for Cale's family and Beacrox is a semi-new pro who also has a job as UA's assistant chef because he works under Lunch Rush. Alberu is an upperclassmen with a transformation quirk that gives him ennhanced strength and stuff in his dark elf form. Rosalyn has an energy manipulation quirk that she can use to form blasts, shields and ropes and I don't know why but I kinda feel like she'd be in the support course? Lock is still in middle school but he went to the same middle school as Choi Han and wants to be a hero like him and is aiming for UA next year.
As for the kids, On and Hong are orphans who were discriminated against because of their mutations in addition to their quirks, they get adopted after being rescued by Cale. Raon on the other hand is like the Eri of the situation where Cale and Choi Han are part of a sting to rescue him from a villain base. It's decided that Eurhaben should take care of him because he's a pro who can handle it and they have similar quirks but Cale is Raon's hero and favorite babysitter.

For the ask game, vampire AU where Inko and Izuku moves in a new town where there is a curfew and no one seems to want to be out after dark. The mayor, Shigaraki Hisashi, creeps Izuku out. Please.
Inko and Izuku move to a small town because property values are super-low. In retrospect they should have asked more questions about that. They just thought land was cheap because it was in an isolated, snowy area which rarely saw sun.
On their very first day, a delegation of neighbors stop by with gifts. They all very seriously emphasize the importance of the curfew. Officially, dangerous animals roam late at night. One old lady slips them a list of wealthy families in town who should be "avoided and not angered."
Izuku quickly realizes that this town is weirdly hierarchical once he starts school. A small number of children from the rich families show up in old-fashioned clothing and carry sun parasols even though the sky is eternally grey. The teachers defer to these children as if they are royalty.
A girl named Toga invades Izuku's personal space a couple times and sniffs at his neck. The principal calls Izuku to his office and tells him that he'd better find a new school. Izuku is baffled and upset because 1. There's only one school in town; and 2. He hasn't done any thing wrong.
Inko gets called to a school meeting with the principal and the mayor. (She wonders why the mayor is involved in this?) Mayor Hisashi Shigaraki looks bored, until he sees Inko and Izuku's faces, and then he switches to extreme helpfulness. He promises that he will handle Toga. Izuku gets bad vibes off this guy. Inko thinks the mayor was just flirting with her.
After that, strange things keep happening that nearly make Izuku or Inko late for curfew. Izuku's bike breaks, the clock at the grocery store is late, etc. Mayor Shigaraki shows up to be helpful when they have issues. Izuku's bad vibes intensify. To make matters worse, this weirdo asked his mom out on a date and she accepted! His mom always has terrible judgement in men so this just makes Izuku more suspicious.
Izuku does research at the library and discovers pictures from several centuries ago of a man who looks just like Mayor Shigaraki, who had a wife identical to Inko and a son identical to Izuku. His wife and son died in a carriage accident. Izuku rushes to the mayor's home to save his mom.
When Izuku arrives, Mayor Shigaraki has fallen over the table with a bite mark on his neck while a worried green wolf nudges him.
The twist: Izuku and Inko are both werewolves. They moved to this isolated town to scout it as a possible home for their pack. Hisashi wanted to turn Inko into a vampire because he believes that she and Izuku are the reincarnations of his dead wife and son. Inko had the same idea: she wanted to turn Hisashi into a werewolf because she thought that adding the mayor to her pack would make it easier to move in. Besides, he was cute and Izuku could use a new stepdad.
Before this point, Izuku and Inko had no idea that vampires existed. They knew some people in this town smelled a bit funny, but just assumed those people were sick. In fact, Inko expected Hisashi to be grateful after she bit him to cure him of his sickness. Unfortunately, vampire and werewolf venom have a bad interaction and it sent Hisashi into a coma.
Inko and Izuku flee town to avoid reprisals. They return to the UA Pack and report that this town is no good as a home. It's already infested with vampires. Maybe Hisashi dies! Maybe he comes back as something even stronger, chasing after Izuku and Inko. I'll let the reader decide.

WITHIN TEMPTATION Shares New Single 'A Fool's Parade'
Tumblr media
Dutch metallers WITHIN TEMPTATION have released their newest single, "A Fool's Parade", featuring Ukrainian producer and vocalist Alex Yarmak. All royalties from the new single will be donated to Music Saves UA for the duration of the Russia-Ukraine war.
According to a press release from WITHIN TEMPTATION's publicist, "A Fool's Parade" "showcases the band's commitment to raising awareness of Ukraine's ongoing battle against Russia's invasion. The song itself serves as a condemnation of Russia's deceitful actions and sheds light on the harsh realities faced by Ukraine. WITHIN TEMPTATION remains steadfast in their support for Ukraine, with involvement in initiatives such as the Ukraine Aid OPS foundation, advocating for more much-needed solidarity."
Recorded amidst the streets of Kyiv with renowned Ukrainian video director Indy Hait, the music video for "A Fool's Parade" captures WITHIN TEMPTATION frontwoman Sharon Den Adel at important Ukrainian landmarks. The music video will be out next week.
In a June 2023 interview with James Wilson-Taylor of Rock Sound, Den Adel spoke about the lyrical inspiration for WITHIN TEMPTATION's "Wireless" single: "When the war started in the Ukraine, we were in the studio writing songs, And it's one of the songs that we wrote. And it is about war, of course. It's about a soldier going to war and thinking he's going to liberate people, do good stuff and be a hero and everything, but then he finds out that he's been lied to by media but also government. And then he finds that he can't go back because he's already in his army gear, for instance. You can't go forward, you can't go backward because you have your buddies next to you and you'll all die in the field. And in front of you, you have a mission impossible almost."
The Dutch singer continued: "So that's what we try to do — maybe also shine a light on certain situations within the war. It's just we're storytellers — it's like amplifying a certain kind of emotion that people could feel in this situation."
Asked how she and her bandmates decided to use Russia's invasion of Ukraine as inspiration for one of their songs, Sharon said: "Well, from my point of view, it's not just their war. I really believe what some people are saying — it's really our war as well. Because it's next to us. They already said, they're not gonna stop at Ukraine; they're gonna go further. And a couple of hours flying from my home, it's already Kyiv. So it's also our war. I think we should be aware of the fact that this is a danger for all of us. They won't stop. And hopefully — we wanna keep this a little bit alive in our own small way by writing about it and talking about it and waving a flag on stage about it."
In March 2022, WITHIN TEMPTATION was one of the artists who took part in a telethon concert in support of Ukraine. "Save Ukraine - #StopWar" united more than 20 countries and bring together more than 50 participants. The marathon was broadcast from Warsaw on the Polish TV channel TVP. In addition, broadcasters from many countries around the world rebroadcasted the marathon on their local channels.
In an interview with Greece's Rock Overdose, Den Adel stated about her band's participation in the event: "For us, it was an honor to be asked for it. I think as a band and as people, we really value freedom of speech and freedom and democracy. I think as a band, people sometimes say, 'Don't be so political,' people say, 'Don't be so expressive and don't take a side on things.' But as a musician, I think it's important to represent who you are, not just in music but really stand for what you make and what you are saying in your lyrics in a way. And things that are happening in the world inspire us to write music, and then you also have to take a stance and what side you are. I think when it's so obvious where there's an aggressor and where there is a country being violated, invaded, you should take a stance and then it makes it much easier even to be very clear about where you stand in this whole conflict. Of course, it's something that we are keeping ourselves updated with every day because we find it very sad to see that a country that wants to be a democracy is invaded this way. So we are very honored to be asked also to play for this event, this marathon, and happy to do it."
Released last October, WITHIN TEMPTATION's latest album, "Bleed Out", signifies a bold leap forward for the band. From contemporary, hard-hitting, and djenty riffs to soaring melodies displaying their symphonic roots, WITHIN TEMPTATION has created a sonic journey that fuses diverse musical styles and thought-provoking themes. This is an album that is as epic as it is unflinchingly outspoken, and now more than ever, this is a band who isn't afraid to make a stand on issues the members care about.
Since the start of the war in Ukraine, WITHIN TEMPTATION have shifted their focus from writing about personal emotions and societal subjects to tackling global injustices and reflecting the tumultuous state of the world in a way that other artists seem unable or unwilling to do.
While songs such as "Wireless" and "We Go To War" examine the authoritarian aggression on display in Ukraine and other warzones, the title track itself addresses the plight of women fighting for their rights in Iran after the murder of Mahsa Amini.
The album also grapples with the complex issues around a woman's right to choose in recent single "Don't Pray For Me" and throughout, this impassioned and political focus is reflected in the intensity and heaviness of the music. Embracing a new era of musical exploration and lyrical depth, WITHIN TEMPTATION have pushed boundaries and showcased their artistic evolution, delivering a fist-in-the-air proclamation of both their moral convictions and their fearless approach to music.

mental age and unfelt imaginations?
Mental Age - What if god's self-insert mary sue oc tried to take over your life because you're not as popular as your friends online? A villain with an all-powerful quirk wants to be a cool UA student, so she uses her powers to erase Hagakure from existence, take her place, and mind control everyone into loving her. But the quirk has limits, and Hagakure materializes after a time, but no one remembers her and she's re-erased if the villain realizes she's there. So Hagakure, arguably the weakest member of class 1A, has to find a way to take down a mini god by herself. This fic was inspired by the reality shifters of tiktok, who would be doing something very ethically dubious if it was as real as they claim. Imagine an interdimensional being that can change the state of the world on a whim, creating and deleting people as they see fit, and forcing everyone to love them? From the perspective of that reality's inhabitants, that's cosmic horror. For the record, I don't think they're actually shifting and hurting people, they're having vr fanfiction lucid dreams at most and op self inserts aren't a crime. But like, imagine.
Unfelt Imaginations - Princess Diaries meets Rebecca. Izuku turns out to be the son of a prince of a small kingdom. The original heir, a younger half brother Izuku didn't know he had, recently died under mysterious circumstances, and they need a new heir to secure the monarchy and prevent a faction of extremists from completely taking over the country. But being royalty is a lot of pressure and everyone openly talks about liking the old prince more, so Izuku starts to resent him. Until he finds out how he actually died.

AU where Izuku becomes the Absolute Monarch of a random Island nation.
Tumblr media
So Izuku knew he was royalty in the "fun icebreaker trivia" way. His claim to the throne of the island nation of Sarka is so distant that it would take something major for him to be in the running. So he and his mom are very confused when intimidating men in suits arrive as security detail.
Something major happened. Maybe it was a Villain attack, maybe it was a hurricane, I don't really know. Whatever the case, Inko is now the Queen of Sarka, making Izuku the crown prince. This sudden crowning made international news, naturally.
The good news is that Sarka actually does have a Hero School, and it's even a pretty good one! It's no UA, not even a Shiketsu, but it's up there! Though the fact he's the crown prince makes things a bit awkward with his classmates and teachers
Hero celebrity culture is all over Izuku being a Hero prince.
Eventually, Inko steps down from the throne and Izuku becomes king, which really puts a damper on his Hero work.

Oboro-centric fanfic idea:
After the whole ordeal of him being made into a kinda-Nomu, he regains part of his conscious mind when being told to look over and protect Shigaraki. We saw him being good with kids Before, so what if that need to take care of (protect) a kid was so close to how he would have functioned without the brainwashing?
A whole two or so years of gaining Shigaraki’s trust (kid preferred Tomura to Tenko anyways because Trauma) later, and Oboro finally has a finalised idea to get the both of them out and away from AFO. Oboro had been getting more and more lucid as time went on so he was able to somewhat properly parent Tomura — eg getting him an informal education about heroes via pre-quirk media, Mic’s Radio show, and stories of training/friendship with Eraser and Mic.
What if when he got out, our Local Overworked Detective (TM), aka Tsukauchi, found him and a kid that was missing (thought to be dead) and flat out refused to let either of the two out of his sight for a solid day? — Oboro would have been around 19-20 by this point, so Tomura would have been around 8-9(?) (aging him down a couple years to make it fit nicer so he’s 6-7 at this point)
What if one of the first interactions either of the two had with a hero After (after they got out, after they were saved by themselves, after heroes failed for both of them again), it was a very uptight, upcoming intelligence hero, and sidekick of All Might himself, who tried to arrest Oboro for his hair flickering between being darker and lighter as he tries to avoid panicking in a loud, crowded place where people keep bumping into him?
What if the first time Oboro tries to reach out to Mic, Mic immediately cusses him out over the phone because he’s drunk and doesn’t recognise the code that he’s trying to get through to him?
What if Oboro thought that Aizawa died after no backup came for either of them so didn’t read into Mic seemingly hating him?
What if Oboro only met Aizawa after getting his Pro Hero license (alongside a Police Officer one, because Tsukauchi insisted), while their patrols just briefly overlapped?
What if Aizawa found his (dead for 4 years) best friend on a rooftop humming to himself in his hero costume on the anniversary of said “death”, proceeded to sing along and sit next to him, while hoping, praying to anything out there that it wasn’t just a dream, or a hallucination?
What if Tomura was adopted by Oboro legally for his 10th birthday?
What if Oboro was Underground Royalty because of how difficult it is to see clouds in the dark?
What if Oboro gets injured a month before his 22nd birthday and is rushed to UA to be seen to by Recovery Girl by insistence of Nighteye and Tsukauchi, rather than a hospital, and when he wakes up, his quirk had taken his sight?
What if they think it’s temporary? What if it wasn’t quite as temporary as they thought?
What if he’s scarred and bruised and his hair has blood scattered in the mist and he wakes up in pain and terrified because he can’t move?
What if when he tried to speak, all that came out was a whimper that was heard and reacted to by sleep deprived Best Detective and Nighteye as they tried to reassure their friend (younger brother, really) that he wasn’t back in the Doctor’s labs?
What if it took several minutes for that to even register for Oboro over the sharp smell of disinfectant and the uncomfortable bed he was on and the feeling of his quirk screeching and whining internally that the room he was in was too small, too dry?
This is my first post, I hope I did the things right 😅

Of course! Thanks for waiting patiently. ily2!!!

Pairing: Bakugou Katsuki x F!Reader, hinted and one-sided Kirishima Eijirou x F!Reader
Summary: Even before you were a knight, you'd always been curious about the myth of the dragon and the princess. Finally having the time and money to explore the tower of legend, you learn that myth might have been misinterpreted over the ages.
/ Before you could get ready to pucker up, the blond that was the with the dragon spoke. “What’re you leaning towards him for? I’m the fuckin’ prince that you're looking for.”
You stared at him with disbelief. “Why would I kiss a prince?”
“Why the fuck would you conquer this tower then?”
You tried to come up with a socially acceptable and completely normal answer.
Warnings: Royalty!AU, Reader is an implied monsterfucker, misunderstandings, this was supposed to be a fluffy meet cute and somehow turned into a barely fluffed up meet cringe my bad lol
With a haze of red and sparkling black, Kirishima crawled through the window, changing into a form more suitable for the
With a haze of red and sparkling black, Kirishima crawled through the window, changing into a form more suitable for the high ceilings and narrow confines of the UA Tower. He landed on cobbled stone with a jingly thud, a heavy sack of some sort of treasure hooked at the waistband of his hip. He looked at his grumpy ward with a fire in his eyes.
“I think it’s time,” he exclaimed, using his wings to float over to where the prince of the tower sat. His knuckles were wrapped in thin gauze–a typical aftermath of his training.
“You always think that any time a knight or challenger appears, it’s time,” Bakugou retorted.
He dusted his pants before looking at the training mat with a frustrated hmph. Looking at the same fucking mat every day, waking up in the same room every fucking day, and speaking to one fucking person every day was enough to drive him insane. The prince had long since given up hope that someone would be strong enough to save him.
In the past, he’d yell and scream until his voice grew hoarse. The rules of this land were bullshit! Although he still lived a life of comfort through the tower’s magic, Bakugou’s helplessness frustrated him. It didn’t matter if he used his strength, wits, or looks. None of his skills or blessings were enough to give him his freedom.
Kirishima conjured up an opaline mirror before them, pulling up an image of a knight, gently closing the tower doors behind her.
It was a stupid move, you knew, but exhaustion told you it was a good idea to let the tip of your sword drag across the floor as you crossed the landing to what you hoped would be the final floor.
The UA Tower stood as a monolith at the edge of Musutafu, the ancient magic imbued within working hundreds of years before your birth. There was a myth that the elders passed down to their children. Monsters ravaged the land until a great dragon appeared, chasing them all away. Grateful for his protection, they offered up their fairest maiden–a princess that was unwed.
“They were said to have lived happily-ever-after,” they told you.
“And what happened after that?” You’d ask as a child. The elders would roll their eyes at your question, telling you that that was the end.
But your curiosity of what happened after ever-after didn’t end as a child.
When you were in university, you’d hear drunken bards sing of an ending that made your ears grow hot. Their salacious tales were repeated in the barracks at knight school, making you eager to be ordained.
As the years went on, your days as a knighthood had been blessed by wealth and fortune. Now that you amassed enough gold to take a vacation, you decided to finally indulge in one of your greatest interests.
The oak doors that you pushed past were heavy.
“Good gods, she’s an idiot,” Bakugou groaned.
It was through a series of luck and perfectly-timed clumsiness that you bumbled your way to the second to last floor. He couldn’t help but watch your every move with morbid fascination.
Kirishima elbowed the prince. “Hey, don’t talk about your future wife that way!”
Right. The knight would clear the last floor. You’d kiss the prince. Then you two would leave the tower to get married, then live happily-ever-after.
Bakugou always thought it was a stupid tradition, but now that he was closer to reaching his goal in life, his heart fluttered in anticipation.
Their attention returned to the mirror when all of the dust from the battle made you sneeze.
“Oh, c’mon, she’s cute.”
Some comment you made about the tower being bad for knights with allergies made Kirishima grin.
“Perhaps you shouldn’t talk about my future that way,” he sassed back.
Despite all the dirt and your dinged up armor, Bakugou couldn’t deny that there was something attractive about you. Maybe it was the way you cheered after defeating each floor’s challenge or how you cursed anytime an endless flight of stairs would appear.
Yes, you were cute, but he wouldn’t tell that damn greedy dragon that.
The final floor of the tower wasn’t what you were expecting. It looked like any ordinary bedroom from the outside world, though furnished more lavishly than most.
You expected to find beautiful dresses and jewelry scattered throughout the room and was disappointed when you found none in the closet or dressers. It was only men’s clothes that filled the room–perhaps the final floor was the dragon’s room instead of the princess’s.
“This must be a room of wits,” you grumbled as your tired body settled on the sofa. A stack of books on the table caught your eye, and you pulled the middle title.
On the cover was a great dragon standing guard outside of a tower. Perhaps there was a clue! You flipped to a random page before tossing it across the room.
It glowed as smoke filled the room and two figures appeared before you.
It was a dragon. The dragon!
An annoyed cough broke your attention.
“Well?” He asked impatiently as the smoke lingered. “Kiss me already so we can get out of here.”
You bolted right up at his command. The bards were right. The dragon truly did have a voracious appetite. You fumbled around one of the pouches at your waist. Where was your lipgloss? You weren’t expecting things to escalate so soon.
Before you could get ready to pucker up, the blond that was the with the dragon spoke.
It didn’t make sense to him. Weren’t you in love with him? That was why every other knight had attempted to rescue him from this shithole. And dammit, it took him a while but watching you go from floor to floor throughout the weeks made you grow on him. He wouldn’t call it love, but at the very least it was a crush. He wouldn’t mind marrying you.
Kirishima whispered to Bakugou, “That’s not what true love’s kiss means.” The dragon had lived for many years and was more experienced in worldly things compared to the prince.
“Are you sure?” The prince asked. “They didn’t write that in the books and–Well, shit. Can you at least fly away to give us some privacy? Or maybe just poof! And give her a dress so I can go under, if you’re too nosy to leave.”
This was the perfect moment to change the subject.
“Um, uh… What exactly is true love’s kiss?”
The two looked at each other.
“I s’pose your position doesn’t really matter but–”
“Well, you can lay down and so can I, or maybe I can be on my knees and–”
Heat crept up your neck and you realized what they meant.
“But you’re the dragon’s consort!” You blurted.
“The what?!”
A voice boomed from overhead. The tower itself, the prince explained.
“To be able to truly be free from this tower, the knight and prince must share true love’s kiss.” Kirishima crossed his arms and nodded knowingly. “Which means that the two must be in love.”
Bakugou saw the way you looked at his friend and sighed. His future wife was a dumbass. A wannabe dragonfucking dumbass. It’d take a lot of work to get you to fall in love with him.
He extended his hand towards you, jerking it forward as you stared at it.
“Look, we got off to a bad start. I’m the prince of this tower. Bakugou. No, wait. Katsuki.”
You shook it hesitantly. The sparks from his touch almost made you pull away at first, but his hand engulfed yours in a cozy shake. You gave him your name.

Nomination Overview - Omegaverse
Continuing with the love-it-or-hate-it, let's look at the nominated omegaverse fics! There aren't very many, but of the ones which have been nominated, we have some real epics here.
Title: One Long Season of Waiting Rating: E-rated Link: https://archiveofourown.org/works/42741399/chapters/107375079 Fandom: Dream SMP Author: Anonymous Relationships: Quackity/Schlatt, Quackity/Wilbur, Quackity/Eret, Quackity/Techno, Quackity/Philza, Quackity/Foolish, Quackity/Wilbur/Eret/Techno/Foolish/Philza Characters: Quackity, Schlatt, Wilbur, Techno, Eret, Philza, Foolish Length of the work: 490,718 words Genre: AU, Domestic/Slice-of-life, Drama, Fantasy AU, Found Family, Hurt/Comfort, Omegaverse, Romance, Royalty AU, Slow Burn, Smut Type: Fic Summary: Polyamory was a relatively new development in the world of nobility, but when the emperor was looking to add another consort to his flock, it was Quackity’s job to ensure that Schlatt was the one chosen for the position. As the duke of one of the four major duchies of the Antarctic Empire, Schlatt was a political powerhouse for sure, and Quackity couldn’t be more proud of his protector. All they had to do was get through the consort trials and then Schlatt would be in, and Quackity could continue to support his partner from the shadows, where he could be safe and protected. Of course, there is a chance the plan devolved almost immediately upon execution, and Quackity found himself getting far more contact with the royal flock and the other consort candidates than he ever could have expected. THE SHORT OF IT: A Fantasy/Royalty AU that features unconventional A/B/O dynamics, political worldbuilding, a heavy emphasis on trauma recovery and found family dynamics, and soap-opera levels of non-communication. And also, there’s romance. See forenotes for more details.

After, having spent so much time with them and making so many amazing friends while on the UA (or Unavailable) list during season six, he's decided to make it more official and join the Active Available List for season seven. For Grian, however, the switch is going to be life changing. A journey of sexual self discovery and experimentation. Not Your Typical A/B/O

Tetsutetsu Tetsutetsu- Fake Date
Kirishima and I stared at his metal counterpart, shock and awe weren't the words I'd use but Tetsutetsu sure did.
"Come on! What am I supposed to do?! Kirishima, you're a genius with these things!" Tetsutetsu paced across Kiri's room, his quirk activating over his hands in his anxious state, "I can't go alone! Not after bragging about it for so long!"
I leaned back and began playing on my phone. School dances weren't my thing and I didn't know the boy near enough to put my nose in his business. It wasn't my fault that he bragged about this great girl he got for prom, and it definitely wasn't my fault she ditched. Four years at UA and this boy would never learn to put his foot in his mouth.
The silence in the room finally reached my ears and I glanced up to find both boys staring at me.
"What are you staring for?" I waved my hand in front of Kirishima. He smiled, but it wasn't genuine, it was hiding something, "Well, we had an idea… But it involves you…"
Tetsutetsu threw himself over the bed and pleaded up at me from my knees, "Go with me to prom!"
I was sure my blood froze, but Tetsutetsu didn't acknowledge my shocked state as he continued to bargain with me. The dude wasn't ugly by any means, many girls found him just as handsome as they found Kirishima, but he could be… What's the word… Thick? Dense! Tetsutetsu was dense.
His dark eyes were boring into mine, glazing over and beginning to water. I didn't know this guy, I wasn't a dance person, social gatherings were stupid in my opinion. I sighed and shook my head, peeking to Kirishima for assistance. He definitely wasn't on my side.
"Look, Y/n, you be my date to prom and I'll give you anything you want in return. I'll train with you, teach you my fighting style or me and Kirishima could knock each other out like we did at the sports festival." Tetsutetsu took one of my hands in both of his, the heat on his metal skin was insane, "You can tell everyone afterwards or you keep it a secret, anything!"
I groaned, bouncing my head off the wall and glaring at both of them, "Fine."
They shared a first bump and cheered, Kirishima lifting me off his bed like I was some of type of royalty. I struggled to keep myself together as they tossed me between them until I ended up hanging upside down, Tetsutetsu holding tightly to my waist as Kirishima helped fix my position. Death was going to come for me before I could become a pro hero and I'd have these guys to thank.
Tetsutetsu exchanged numbers with me while stating that there was a certain dance I had to learn. That was great, at least there was a plan he had and we could work from there. Every afternoon after our classes we would meet up and dance behind the 1-A dorms, it was a simple dance but Tetsu wanted to get where we didn't need to communicate our moves. Sometimes Kirishima and Bakugo would come out to watch and talk to us but they only split up my focus and I'd trip over Tetsu's boots.
I hated it but I loved it all the same. Tetsu was a gentleman, much like Kiri, but there was something so different about him. It drew me in each time we'd danced together and I started getting thoughts about how perfectly I moved with him or how I fit snuggly against his body. His voice was like honey and his warmth became the only thing fighting my natural coldness. I constantly wanted to be next to him.
"You guys look like you're having fun." Monoma stepped out of the nearby tree line, pulling a glare from the previously laughing Tetsu, "A backup since you're other girl ditched you for me? How pathetic you choose Y/n over a girl from our class. How far you've fallen."
Tetsu easily hid me behind him and faced Monoma, "You should go, you second rate copy cat. This isn't about being ditched anymore and you shouldn't put people down like you do."
I looked back and caught Bakugo staring out the window, he hated Monoma more than anyone so I waved my hand for him to deal with it. Monoma didn't stand a chance against my special move: Guard Dog Bakugo. "Geez, he really needs to get a hobby." I joked, patting Tetsu on the back, "You good?"
"This really isn't about her ditching me anymore, Y/n. I'm really happy that you said you'd go to prom with me, I get it if you don't like me back but it wouldn't be manly to hide it from you anymore." Tetsu sighed before pulling back his smile, "Let's try it one last time, you've pretty much got it down!"
Words wouldn't form in my brain so I just finished our dance and waved goodbye. It was weird that he liked me, not because of who he was but real life didn't work like that. You didn't get a crush on someone and them like you back, that was for movies or stories. Fairytale works. Kirishima tried to talk to me about it, Tetsu had told him that feelings had come up through our dancing meets. Still I could only nod. Whether it was shock or my mind refusing to process it all I didn't know, but I did know that prom was soon.
I'd chosen a new color scheme for our outfits, the other girl had picked out the ugliest shade of dark green and I didn't think it matched Tetsu at all. Unknown to him, I took the liberty to order new clothes. A steel colored suit for him and a grey knee length dress for me. Kirishima helped to pull the laces on the back tight, tying it so I didn't look like random strings were hanging from my back.
The rest of the class was already in our common room, some with their dates and others like myself meeting their date at the gym. Kirishima offered to walk with me since it had rained and my shoes were not thick enough to withstand a puddle. My friend had to lift me more than once so I could avoid getting my dress and shoes dirty.
"Thanks, Kiri, I'd hate to have wet feet while dancing." We shared a quick laugh and went our separate ways. The teachers had really gone out of their way to make the place breathtaking with streamers and balloons and some quirks were even used to make it more magical. Only one scene took my eyes off the room. Tetsu. He looked so handsome in the suit and I would've melted if he wasn't in a bad situation.
Near the refreshments table he was standing tall against Monoma and who I presumed was his first date. I straightened my spine and hurried across the floor to take Tetsu's hand. He smiled gratefully down at me before his eyes widened, "You look stunning in grey!"
"Thank you." I giggled, looking over to Monoma and the girl, "Monoma, I didn't know you had a date! You never said anything!"
Tetsu and I left before she started nagging at Monoma, it was rude but he deserved it. We mingled with our classes and had some light conversation with everyone, but the excitement on Tetsu's face when a song came on, "Our dance! Hurry, Y/n, we have to!"
Butterflies knotted my stomach as we moved together, the motions making more sense when music guided them. The warmth between us changed when the song ended and a slower song started.
"Care for another dance?" Tetsutetsu experimentally moved a hand to my lower back, I moved closer and wrapped my arms over his shoulders. "So that's a yes?" Tetsu moved us with the music.
"Tetsu?"
"Yeah?"
"I know what I want in return for coming to prom with you." My cheeks burned and I tried to avoid eye contact, only for Tetsu to pull my face back to his. "Like I said, anything!" He was so calm for our faces being so close together.
"Kiss me?"

First off, Bold of you, anon, to assume that only Class-A would fight over Cute!Villian!Izuku. :3c
Second, yes. He definitely is chill on days he decideds to take off, (he is the boss, after all), and so does everyone that works for him, cause it's no fun when he's not around.
Izuku, is indeed, still a hero nerd underneath his choas, mischievous villian persona. But, he figured at one point, if he can't (or, more appropriately, was not allowed, let's be real here), be a Hero...then he just...he would just have fun with his life! As a Villian, of course!
And mama Izuko is honestly so proud and happy her son seems less depressed about his life! Now, if only everyone would stop simping for him, everything would be perfect, (she follows twitter. she knows would goes on everyone's head).
And, honestly? Aizawa had a good idea, he truely did. He has seen very clearly how dangerously smart this teen villian is and is glad he only really uses it for very petty crimes. It's just...he did not take into account that all UA students simp after Midoriya, and his class was the worse ones.
And yes, Nedzu is having a grand time and happily pays Izuku for the entertainment. :) Izuku don't mind! It's practically free money, just like the royalty fees for all his merch! He had no idea that "Chaos Master" (villian name) would get so popular, thou...
There's something Aizawa always thanks the universe for and that's villain Deku seems to be completely oblivious to the kind of attention he gets. He's glad he doesn't know he practically has all UA's students, especially class A's, wrapped around his pinky.
