This is for @strngerpairs valentines event: Greatmage (Eleven x Gareth) and Stali (Steve x Kali)

The four of them took a trip to California to celebrate El’s high school graduation.

Neither Kali nor Gareth had ever seen the ocean before, and they had completely opposite reactions to their very first glimpse. Kali whooped with joy and immediately raced headlong into the waves, shrieking with delight. Gareth stood wide-eyed on the sand for a few minutes whispering “it’s so big” before he could even think about wading in.

They spent the entire day at the beach, as carefree as children; building castles, swimming, playing chicken, and (at El’s insistence) collecting seashells. Late in the afternoon Jonathan and Argyle met up with the group, and as the sun began to set Jonathan quickly snapped some photos as a reminder of a blissfully perfect day.

YES. El seeking her sister's help, not just because it makes sense, but also because she feels she needs her emotionally after Mike breaks up with her/she feels she loses Mike to Will and I hope Vecna tells her about Hopper's S1 deal..

Steve and Kali as daredevil and punisher - very niche but I think it fits their characters so well. Kali with such a strong moral code that most people wouldn’t agree with. Steve, repressed catholic bisexual. 😙🤌

Do you have any random Greatmage of Stali headcanons?

Boy howdy, I have tons. I just posted a bunch of Greatmage headcanons here so for this ask I’ll focus on Stali.

- In Lost and Found, Kali was estranged from her punk gang, but I like to imagine that someday Funshine (the big guy who was really the only nice one lol) tracked her down to apologize and they reconciled. Funshine would LOVE Steve from the moment they met, because he can tell Steve makes Kali truly happy.

- Kali is not a fan at all of PDA, but in private she’s an extremely cuddly person. She loves when Steve will get silly with her and yell stuff like “where’s my little jetpack?” and she’ll run up behind him and leap onto his back and he’ll carry her around piggyback style.

- Steve was a little bit worried about how Kali would react to his close friendship with Robin, but they ended up getting along great and sometimes they go hang out together without him.

- On the other hand, it took awhile for Kali to warm up to Nancy. She’d heard one too many stories of Nancy being Steve’s first love and then shattering his heart, and she wanted to be mad at Nancy but ended up struggling with a little bit of jealousy over how pretty and delicate Nancy is. I imagine her thinking that style was what Steve must prefer, and asking Nancy and Chrissy to give her an Allison-in-Breakfast-Club style makeover. Steve hates it. He assures her that he loves her best in whatever way she feels comfortable, and she doesn’t have to wear a frilly pink dress for him to think she’s beautiful.

- Pearly and I had a sweet little headcanon of Steve throwing a prom-style party for Kali since she never had one in high school, but that’s a fic I may still write someday so I don’t wanna elaborate too much. 😜
