1) Pretty sure Dustin said she only said yes and no, but whoever it was, he was not right. She said nothing at first and then only yes and no for a while, because she was scared. He was just being insensitive (which was funny and cute and all but insensitive), while Mike understood she was scared and was kind and she soon opened up. Good that he was or El would have had no one.

2) Lucas was not right to say Mike just liked that she was a girl not grossed out by him. He just wrongly assumed that was the reason Mike befriended and trusted her because he was jealous. Mike was not looking for a girlfriend before people pushed him into it, which is why he was completely confused by what Lucas said. It's also quite ridiculous to imagine girls being grossed out by him, as he is obviously cute as hell. And we have zero evidence of girls being grossed out by him. We only have something like that for Dustin.

3) She is not a few years behind, she is as old as the others. She has a lot of life experience. Fucked up and traumatizing life experience. She is in many ways probably more mature.

4) The born sexy yesterday trope is recognizable and one can talk about it and criticize it, but that doesn't make it some terrible crime against humanity about which the Duffers would be moved to create a 5 season afternoon special showing how horrible wrong it is. Men are ultimately allowed to fantasize about meeting a mermaid, really. It is not that serious. It's actually quite funny also fitting the trope "fish out of water" pretty literally. 5) The show will not focus about how "wrong" Mileven is, but on Mike being gay and in love with Will. Mike will feel very guilty about letting her down, not about kissing her even hough ... she was raised in a lab? This is not the or even an actual issue. It will focus on Eleven becoming her own person and that will be shown to be for the best. It will not be shown that it was a terrible mistake to date Mike. That is just life and luckily Eleven is out of the lab and can participate.
