i want to POST.....!! reborn au; ninjacon 2 (2!!)
Minato walked out of the restaurant first. The first thing he noticed was that all six civilians out on the street were passed out on the ground. So. That was probably bad.
“Shinobi-san,” a deep voice said, and then a man Minato recognized as a missing-nin from Kumo stepped out of the shadows. “You disgust me.”
Minato did not think he’d done anything to personally piss off Kumo no Isamu. But Kumo had been Iwa’s ally through the entire Third Shinobi War, and Minato had therefore killed countless Kumo-nin. They tended to just be mad at him. Then again, Isamu was an A-rank missing-nin with his own group of missing-nin lackeys who committed petty crimes across the smaller nations. Maybe he was just mad Konoha had increased the number of international escort missions to protect Fire Country’s commercial interests against scum like him.
Minato picked out three other presences crawling around in the darkness, waiting to pounce. No big deal, really.
Behind his back, he made a hand sign for Tori to stand down. Konoha didn’t actually have a lot of intel on this guy or the criminal group he’d put together; Minato wanted to see if he could get him talking before he killed him.
Instead, Isamu threw him for a loop by continuing, “You dare impersonate the Yellow Flash?”
“W-what?” Minato asked, dumbfounded. Behind him Tori let out a noise that sounded like a hiccup but that he was sure was an aborted laugh.
“It’s pathetic,” Isamu spat out. He was only average in height, but he was broad with a mane of platinum blonde hair that made him seem huge. He took a few threatening steps towards Minato. “This entire freak show in town is pathetic. But you– you’re an actual ninja. You should know better.”
Isamu was close enough now that Minato could smell his breath. It was rank; he could stand to redo a few lessons on maintaining personal hygiene in the field.
“Do you understand the weight of the name Yellow Flash?” Isamu asked, eyes wide. “Do you understand how many people he’s slaughtered?”
Tori shifted behind him, making several hacking noises most people would interpret as coughs.
“But it’s a really cool costume,” Minato replied cheekily, and Tori wheezed.
Then he signed again for her to continue standing down, and let himself get kidnapped.
“Why,” Tori demanded as she was also kidnapped. It probably sounded to their captors that she was mad at them and not him.
Minato was just curious, that was all. If he just killed Isamu now, it was possible his organization could continue without him, and then Konoha would have lost a valuable opportunity for intel on them. It would be better if Minato figured out the structure of their organization and then killed them. If he had a little fun on his first field mission in years, that was just a bonus.
Plus, the ongoing monologue Isamu was giving him as they moved locations was… kind of funny. How dare Minato impersonate one of the most influential shinobi of this generation, etcetera.
They moved them to a partially constructed hotel. There were many of them dotting the outskirts of town; either the money for the project had dried up, or construction was paused temporarily. The building itself was up, but the walls had exposed pipes and there wasn’t yet working electricity.
In addition to the three missing-nin Isamu had with him, there were two more at the hotel.
“Look at this pathetic excuse for a ninja!” Isamu yelled, throwing Minato at the unfinished floor. “A disgusting pretender, grasping for power. As if a Kage would sink so low!”
Isamu made all of his missing-nin lackeys go around and explain to Minato how the Yellow Flash was too scary and powerful to be impersonated. Tori, who had been dropped much less violently than Minato, stuck her head between her knees and made horrible shuttering noises as she fought her own laughter.
“And who is this little bitch you picked up?” Isamu said, moving to tower over Tori. “Using your stolen identity to pick up stupid civilian girls?”
Tori sat up, a look of horror on her face.
“He’s my dad,” she said at the same time Minato said, “She’s my niece.”
Oh, awkward, Minato thought. That was a rookie-level misspeak.
Isamu seemed too into his own narrative to pick up on the mistake, though; he had two of his lackeys hold Minato while another pulled Minato’s weapons from his body. Isamu held up a handful of Minato’s kunai.
“You might think this is dedication,” Isamu sneered, “but to me, this is a joke. Like you could even mimic his techniques.”
He threw the kunai across the floor, and Minato had to mash his lips together to prevent his own laughter.
Another lackey patted Tori down and confiscated her purse.
“Hey!” Tori protested. “That’s new– it’s designer– take my wallet if you want, but the purse–”
They tied them back to back and left them in a tiny backroom. Minato sat there a few minutes, concentrating on where the missing-nin had gone. Two of them had evidently picked up a kunai, and so in addition to his regular senses, he could track them exactly by where the Hiraishin markers went.
When he judged it safe to talk, he said, “Sorry about your purse. I’m sure we can get it back.”
“Ugh,” Tori replied. She slumped her weight against him, so at least she wasn’t nervous or anything. After a beat, she said, “So why’s he obsessed with the Yellow Flash? Did you piss him off during the war or what?”
“I don’t think we’ve ever met,” Minato said carefully. He was… not sure he’d remember if he had met someone like Isamu. At some point, he’d stopped caring about anyone besides the likes of the Raikage or a jinchuriki. “That’s probably why he’s… confused. Surely you understand sometimes people just become fixated on famous shinobi.”
That was the point of this whole convention, wasn’t it? Sometimes you didn’t even have to be famous to be the object of someone’s obsession. Tori knew this, given… whatever Sasori kept stalking her for.
“God,” Tori said. “How do you not have the world’s most insane ego?”
Minato laughed.
“Mostly it’s just annoying,” he said. His social life, for example, was a disaster. “This man is a bit intense, though.”
“I can’t tell if he wants to kill you or be you,” Tori said.
Or do me, Minato thought. That happened more than he was comfortable admitting.
“What exactly are we trying to do?” Tori asked. “Because if you’re just fucking around, I support you, but I still want to go to that midnight showing.”
Tori clearly wasn’t treating this as “your Hokage has just been kidnapped.” Or, well, Minato hoped she wouldn’t talk to him like this if this were an actual dire situation. Given the circumstances, however, he preferred her casual approach. He hadn’t run a fun little mission like this in ages, and he was feeling nostalgic.
Minato did his very best to explain to her without using his Hokage voice that he wanted to gather some intel before he got rid of them. He hadn’t meant to involve her, but he also hadn’t really had a choice without revealing himself to be much more of a threat than he was.
“I can definitely get you to the midnight showing,” Minato promised. “You shouldn’t even have to do anything here.”
“No, I’m…” Tori shifted, and he felt her shoulders moving against his. “I think I might be physically incapable of not doing anything under circumstances like these.”
That would follow along with about 30% of the complaints in her file and just about everything Kushina had ever said about her, yes.
“This will be fun,” Minato decided. He’d obviously never really worked with Tori before, but Kushina liked working with her, so she had to be fine. Even without his weapons, he didn’t consider Isamu and his crew a threat. Instead, trying to trick them into revealing intel would be a fun sort of puzzle.
“Let’s see… if you need to be in the ballroom by midnight…” Minato debated. “We can pull the plug at…” He pondered all the steps necessary outloud to her: he'd have to kill everyone, teleport them back to their hotel room, and then she had to physically walk there, which would be the most time-consuming step at a civilian-friendly pace. “11:50, to be on the safe side?”
“Wow, did Kakashi get his time management from you?” Tori asked. “I want to get there early, and have time to change.”
Minato peered down at the floor, which was covered in sawdust. Tori was dressed in extremely civilian clothing right now. Nice clothing, even. That was fair.
Maybe he should tell her to escape? He doubted she could take Isamu on her own-- he was ranked as an A-level by Konoha largely for combat prowess-- but she could almost definitely stage an escape on her own. Tori wasn’t in anyone’s bingo books yet, but that was for the exact reasons that she would rank highly once anyone managed to figure out her game. This group seemed to genuinely believe she was a civilian, after all.
On the other hand, he’d sort of just promised her she wouldn’t have to do anything, and he felt a little bit guilty that he’d dragged her into a mission on her weekend off. And even if he had full confidence in her, there could be other variables in play-- like more missing-nin running around they hadn’t seen yet-- that would make letting her go off on her own more dangerous for her than he’d anticipated.
“Do you really not have any weapons on you?” Minato asked. He definitely wasn’t letting her go off on her own without at least that.
“Obviously not,” Tori replied, irritation entering her voice. “I’m on vacation.”
“Technically speaking,” Minato started, because it was indeed against regulation for active duty shinobi to go out unarmed, but he was cut off by one of the shinobi walking by outside.
Well, he supposed it didn’t matter. It wasn’t like he was going to write her a citation after he’d dragged her into this.

A word where Mariko was reborn in Minato's gen and takes Obito/and or Rin under her wing.
Madara is tring to brainwash Obito at the cave and a wall bursts open to revel a furious Mariko.
Sometimes assaulting the elderly is the correct and moral choice -Mariko's mission report.
*tired dog sigh*
"You're in a hurry, Rin," Obito observes as his teammate rushes around the training ground, gathering all their kunai and shuriken with greater urgency than the rest of the team. Obito in particular, Minato notes with some amusement. "Are you going somewhere?"
"Mariko-senpai is back in-village and promised to let me shadow her on her shift," she says with a smile, not pausing. "She won't wait for me if I'm late."
"Sounds like a policy we should adopt," Kakashi mutters, too quiet for Obito to hear or no doubt there would be a loud squabble.
Instead, Obito just raises an eyebrow. "I'm still not convinced she exists, y'know."
Rin does pause at that and straightens, if only to be seen rolling her eyes unobstructed. "Just because she keeps getting called away when I mean to introduce you--"
"It's been three times!"
"She's Konoha's best trauma medic since Tsunade-sama!" Rin returns exasperatedly. "She's busy!"
"She totally doesn't exist! She's made up! A mass genjutsu!"
Minato is pretty sure Obito is mostly just teasing.
"Sensei knows she exists--they went to Academy together!"
All three pairs of eyes turn to him at that, and Minato has to swallow back his grimace.
"Maa."
"Sensei!"
"Mariko-san definitely exists, Obito," he says, drawing out a scowl from the boy.
A mass genjutsu might have been kinder to his ego, after all, than the very real woman who, upon seeing his completed Hiraishin, scoffed and implied that he was a two-bit ninja who needed seals to perform an E-rank jutsu.

Best Underrated Anime Group D Round 3: #D5 vs #D6
#D5: Three brothers work together to stop an ancient evil
#D6: Most adorable-dork villainess in dating game isekai
Details and poll under the cut!
*D6’s tagline has been changed.
Tumblr media
#D5: Laughing Under the Clouds (Donten ni Warau)
youtube
Summary:
In the 11th year of the Meiji Era, the end of the samurai shogunate and the prohibition of swords has left Japan with lasting scars. Displeased by these recent changes, many former samurai plot against the new government, inciting a wave of bloodshed. To counter this movement, the government constructs a colossal prison in the middle of Lake Biwa.
Unofficially assigned to help the police arrest criminals, Tenka Kumou also serves as a ferryman to the Lake Biwa prison with the help of his two younger siblings: the ambitious Soramaru and the enthusiastic Chuutarou. Together with the former Fuma ninja Shirasu Kinjou, the Kumou brothers live a frugal and joyful life mostly dedicated to studying and training.
However, behind this relatively uneventful daily routine, the specter of the “Orochi” curse is starting to spread its shadow over the city of Oumi. According to legend, every three hundred years, Orochi reincarnates in a human vessel—and it is believed that this is the harbinger of an imminent catastrophe. As various groups clash in search of Orochi’s vessel, some aim to seal the curse, while others have darker plans in motion.
Propaganda:
I found this series absolutely entrancing when I originally watched it, the portrayal of the characters and themes is really interesting to watch.
It tells a fantastic story about trying to defeat a legendary evil that can corrupt those around it to do its biding, all the while mixing in comedy and really heartfelt moments between family. For a 12 episode series they did a really good job of tying up any loose ends and finishing the plot, some things could have been expanded upon a bit more, but for what it is they producers did a wonderful job.
The series might not be the most groundbreaking anime ever, but it does have some lovely moments and explorations of its characters. I really like the themes of family, and wanting to do anything you can to help the people you love, it’s always nice to see and I think it’s done really well in this anime.
Trigger Warnings: Graphic Depictions of Cruelty/Violence/Gore, Suicide.
Tumblr media
#D6: My Next Life as a Villainess: All Routes Lead to Doom! (Otome Game no Hametsu Flag shika Nai Akuyaku Reijou ni Tensei shiteshimatta…)
youtube
Summary:
Most people would prefer being the protagonist of a world full of adventure, be it in a game or in another world. But, unfortunately, a certain girl is not so lucky. Regaining the memories of her past life, she realizes that she was reborn in the world of Fortune Lover—one of the games she used to play.
Unfortunately, the character she was reincarnated into—Catarina Claes—is the game's main antagonist, who faces utter doom in every ending. Using her extensive knowledge of the game, she takes it upon herself to escape from the chains of this accursed destiny.
However, this will not be an easy feat, especially since she needs to be cautious as to not set off death flags that may speed up the impending doom she is trying to avoid. Even so, to make a change that will affect the lives of everyone around her, she strives—not as the heroine—but as the villainess.
Propaganda:
This show is so much fun. The protagonist is a lovable girl himbo, who is completely oblivious to everyone around falling in love with her. It’s a bit of a harem anime, but with equal opportunities: the girls are just as enamored with the main character as the guys are. The increasingly dumber ways in which she thinks she’s going to meet her doom (she is supposed to be the villain of the story, after all) are a delight to behold.
Trigger Warnings: Incest, Rape/Non-Con. The main character gets assaulted like two or three times, but it’s not graphic. One of these instances, where a kiss is forced on her, is by her adoptive brother, who is also her cousin, who is one of her main love interests.

*Throws down more of my insanity like a businessman once more*
So the brain rot has won this round once again so here's more of my bullshit contribution to the 2012 tmnt fandom. An unasked sequel to this post:
But now with the rest of the cast fight me-
April O'Neil, the daughter of a well known doctor in a small Japanese village in the countryside. April's a kind yet passionate girl who's childhood friends with Donnie and who was born and raised in the village. April's specialty is her uncanny ability to predict what people are thinking as well as making things float for brief periods of time. Despite her father's reputation as the village's best doctor, April is somewhat of an outcast amongst her fellow villagers. Due to some rather strange occurrences that's been known to happen around her, she's believed to be a seer or witch of some sort by some of the villagers. However there's far more to her gifts than she realizes, and a chance encounter with her best friend Donnie soon reveals all that she's been questioning.
Casey Jones, a ronin samurai who roams and challenges others all over the vast lands of Japan. Casey is a rather chill person who has a surprisingly short temper underneath his laid back personality. Casey's whole life has been nothing but wandering and roaming the Japanese landscapes and fighting any who dares to challenge him. Casey's specialty is his innovation in creating strange weapons from seemingly useless things and always having something possibly deadly up his sleeve. Casey is also a friend and somewhat rival to the ronin ninja assassin known as Raphael Hamato, and the two will occasionally work together on jobs as well as challenge one another when the mood strikes them. Casey while being fine with his lonely ways of the ronin lifestyle, has a craving for adventure to some degree and a fateful moment gives him the opportunity to fulfill his desires.
Mona Lisa, a goddess of war and protection. Mona Lisa is a timeless being, having been around since the very dawn of time. Much like the mischievous yokai Michelangelo Hamato, Mona Lisa is an immortal being who's specializes in the art of war and protection for warriors who've earned her attention and favor. Mona Lisa doesn't interact with others much, preferring to instead observe the mortals rather than partaking with them. However a certain red clad turtle has caught her eye and has unknowingly been granted her blessings in warfare and protections. With a few pulled strings perhaps she could officially meet this ronin ninja.....
Renet, a goddess of time and rebirth. Renet, much like Mona Lisa, is a being as old as time itself. Renet while a somewhat bubbly and awkward person, is also a goddess who's wise and all seeing in ways many could never predict. Being a goddess of time and rebirth, Renet specializes in the delicate threads that make up several timelines as well as handling the souls of those who have passed and deciding if they're worthy of being reborn once again. Renet is extremely close to a yokai known as Michelangelo, and might even fancy him in a more than friends way. Yet just like the prankster entity, Renet knows more than she let's on and may have even played a role in said yokai's knowledge of his brothers.......
Karai Oroku, a demoness who wanders the shadows of Japan, bringing dread and despair wherever she goes. Karai is the daughter of the mysterious and deadly demon lord whose known as the Shredder. Karai's a mischievous yet biting demoness who holds no patience for those she deems unworthy of her time and skill. Karai's specialty is the reaping of mortals and destruction of villages within Japan that her father deems to be a prime target of being wiped out. It's during this very thing that she runs into a monk whose skilled in expelling and exorcising demons and yokai. After clashing with the monk, a boy known as Leonardo Hamato, Karai has become somewhat interested in him. Perhaps he could be of some entertainment for her in the long run......
Tang Shen, a phantom name that very few remember in the old, ancient lands of Japan. Not much is known about Tang Shen, her origins are unknown or have been completely forgotten due to the sands of time. Records that remain of her describe her as either a demon or a goddess, who was supposedly married to the elusive enigma known as Splinter. However much like the being himself, Tang Shen also disappeared some thousand or so years ago and her current whereabouts are unknown.
The Shredder, a name whispered in fear or spoken about like an unholy curse in Japanese folklore. Shredder's origins, much like Tang Shen's, are completely unknown. The story of the demonic lord on the other hand is one that many people, such as shrine maidens, priestesses, monks and older Japanese folks know of. It is said that he is the bringer of death and destruction, a man who sold his soul to demons, consumed by his excessive need to conquer and destroy all that stands in his way. However the Shredder has been locked away, banished from the world. Or so that's how the legend goes.......
Splinter, another name spoken rarely in the ancient Japanese world. Not much is known about him, his origins, his personality, his features or even his whereabouts are all unknown. All that is known is that Splinter is said to be either a demon or god, an immortal being that has been gone for thousands of years. No one knows where he could be or if he's even among the living immortals anymore. Yet despite the little knowledge on him, four turtles and two humans are destined to look for him and perhaps even have their very destinies intertwined.
Lotus Blossom, a shrine maiden in a nearby village located near the ancient and vast Japanese mountains. Lotus is a powerful shrine maiden whose known for protecting magical artifacts and scrolls as well as purifying evil and unclean auras and curses. Lotus is a quiet yet fiesty woman who while somewhat naive is not to be underestimated lest the fool who does earns her wrath and righteous judgment. Lotus lives in a small village next to the mountains where Leonardo's temple resides on. Despite her somewhat peaceful existence, Lotus wishes to at least have some companionship. Being a shrine maiden can become quite lonely, given that the villagers tend to only come to her when they're in need of her abilities or healing. However one fateful moment sends her a possible friend in the least expected way.
Venus de Milo, an orphaned turtle girl who had lost her parents in one of the many Japanese wars of the ancient times. Venus is a chipper yet quiet child who can be incredibly stubborn and short tempered depending on the situation. Venus's specialty is strategic planning via for pranks or tricks. She lives in the temple in the mountains with the monks that reside there and she's taken quite a shine to the one monk known as Leonardo and will follow him around and ask that he plays with her much like the several other orphans who stay there as well.
Usagi Yojimbo, a ronin samurai whose sole mission is to defeat his sworn enemy and to bring vengeance to his family's home. Usagi is a rabbit samurai who roams the Japanese countryside in the hopes of bringing honor back to his name and to defeat the one who had brought said dishonor onto it. Usagi is a rather stern young man who doesn't really interact with others much. Preferring to instead focus on his mission and hone in his swordsmanship with each battle he faces. Usagi's specialty is his quick thinking and deadly swordsmanship. With his katana in hand Usagi is a deadly and dangerous samurai who shouldn't be taken lightly. Usagi has a rather great dislike towards ninjas due to a few run ins with them however his opinion may end up changing in the future....

KAGE Shadow of the Ninja is a ninja-themed side-scrolling action game released by the Japanese game developer Natsume on August 10, 1990, for the Nintendo Entertainment System (NES). At that time, the game received high praise from players and the industry for its excellent controls, innovative hanging and climbing actions, well-designed levels, and adrenaline-pumping background music, especially in the action game genre and cooperative gameplay. Now, after 33 years, this game, considered a classic by many players, is being remastered once again by the original team. Even though the average age of the team members is now 55, their passion for game development remains strong.
Exquisite Pixel Art and Refreshed Visuals
While maintaining the 16-bit retro art style, this remake utilizes new technologies to enhance the visuals with finer details and richer content. The two ninja protagonists, Hayate and Kaede, have been completely redesigned, and all the level scenes and enemies have been redrawn. It is believed that these carefully crafted characters and scenes will provide players with a visually stunning experience.
Diverse Combat Options with a Variety of Weapons and Ninja Tools
In addition to the usual weapons like ninja swords and chains for direct attacks, this remastered version adds new throwing ninja tools such as the gunpowder gun, cannonball, and shurikens for long-range assaults, as well as powerful weapons like the giant club and machete for close combat, and auxiliary tools like iron caltrops and healing rice balls. Players can make full use of these weapons and ninja tools to engage in battles.
Cooperative Gameplay: Rediscover the Joy of Playing Together
As a brand-new remastered work based on KAGE Shadow of the Ninja, this game continues the classic cooperative mode. Of course, you can also choose to play solo with one of the two characters or team up with a friend to face the challenges and defeat formidable enemies.
Reviving Classic Melodies: Enhanced Music Experience
Regarding the music production, in addition to the contributions of Tengo Project’s Hiroshi Iwatsuki, the renowned composer Iku Mizutani, who has created many excellent music tracks for KAGE Shadow of the Ninja and various classic NES games, once again participates in creating the game’s music. The re-arranged classic melodies will be presented in a more modern way, providing players with a more immersive and adrenaline-pumping experience. As with the original version, Dynamic Pro handled the illustrations! The key visuals/character illustrations are also by Dynamic Productions, as was the case with the first version in 1990.
Dynamic Production – Since its establishment in 1969, Dynamic Productions has been engaged in the management of manga artists, novelists and manga authors, including Go Nagai, as well as producing newly drawn manga, planning various events and managing the copyrights of its artists.
Mikio Tachibana – Born 11 May 1976 in Saitama Prefecture. After working as an assistant to Go Nagai, he made his debut in 2004 and has since published serialized works such as Mazinger Otome and Mazinger Otome Taisen. He continues to publish short manga, newly drawn manga and illustrated works in all genres.

Okay so @plumadot’s posting about her D&D Traffic AU has made me remember how much I love my Dungeons & Traffic AU & I Must Talk About It Now.
Basically all the characters are in a modern setting, playing a rotating cast D&D game DMed by The Watchers. (I never really decided how that works. Plan was for everything in out of game space be completely mundane except for the floating purple eye behind the DM screen lol.)
But yeah! So I picked classes & heritages that the characters would pick themselves based on play styles & preferences. &, uh, here they are!
Bdubs: Firbolg, Light Domain Cleric of Helios
Of course he’s a light cleric. Of course his god is literally the god of the Sun. This man does not fuck with the night & darkness At All. (Also he wanted to be tall lol.)
BigB: (???), (???)
Okay, gonna be honest, BigB is the last one I need to make decisions for ‘cause I feel I have too many knowledge gaps about him to figure this out. Was thinking Paladin maybe??? But I will totes take input, please help me here. Only restrictions: I’d prefer if he doesn’t double up on heritage or subclass with anyone.
Cleo: Reborn, Circle of Wildfire Druid
Cleo’s gotta be a zombie, so Reborn is perfect. & who can deny Cleo the opportunity to have a skill set based entirely around setting shit on fire?
Etho: Shadar-Kai, Way of the Shadow Monk
He’s a ninja lol. Also in this AU I was thinking he & Gem would be siblings, so having him play an emotionally flat dark elf played nicely with what Gem goes with. Which…
Gem: Eladrin, Eldritch Knight Fighter
Gem had to be a fighter, that girl is a fighter through & through, but she’s definitely not playing a boring character. Eldritch Knight adds some magical flavour that goes well with her being an Eladrin. & she had to be an elf of some kind; I think she’d like the versatility & expressiveness of Eladrin.
Grian: Changeling, Pact of the Tome Warlock of the Archfey
Okay, I know this is probs controversial but hear me out. 1) Grian being a Warlock I think is just very in character. 2) Pact of the Tome lets him cast catrips from other classes & you unknowingly he’d get a kick outta that mechanic. 3) His patron is a homebrewed version of The Traveler, half way between 5e canon & Critical Role canon. Trickster vibes are real. 4) This dude has had so many skins. Changeling energy. (Also I just love changelings & Grian made the most sense to me.)
Impulse: Hill Dwarf, Forge Domain Cleric of Tharmekhûl
Another controversial one, but I’m not a fan of demon/tiefling/horned Impulse. & he legit has been a dwarf before. Hill dwarf because they get a Wisdom buff & that makes sense for Impulse. Cleric of Tharmekhûl because forge/light vibes & also he’s the god of smiths & that feels… like something Impulse would choose. (Impulse’s character is also min-max’d to hell. This man is going to win at D&D.)
Jimmy: Human, Oath of Glory Paladin of Tyr
Jimmy got overwhelmed by all the heritages & just went human for simplicity. He takes regular human rather than variant because he doesn’t want to learn all the feats & getting +1 to all stats is pretty good, right? Oath of Glory Paladin of Tyr because he really, really plays into being Lawful Good, & being The Law of the party.
Joel: Half-orc, Path of the Berserker Barbarian
Half-orc for being the closest I could get to an ogre. Path of the Berserker because he’s all about The Rage.
Lizzie: High Elf, School of Enchantment Wizard
Idk Lizzie just has big Wizard vibes to me, but like. Not the best wizard. Like she’s powerful, but rolls shit. She couldn’t get anyone to sleep in the Secret Life campaign because her DC is kinda low & everyone kept making their saves. (Except Joel. He failed his save on purpose. <3) High Elf for Queen Lizzie.
Martyn: Tiefling, Swashbuckler Fighter
Another natural fighter choice imo, but Swashbuckler for The Performance. Tiefling because he’s a bit impish & also so he can have Thaumaturgy to constantly scare everyone with monster/mob noises.
Mumbo: Rock Gnome, School of Evocation Wizard
I need to Mumbo to be a glass canon. School of Evocation Wizard does that so well. He can blow shit up so good, but he takes one hit & he’s out. Rock gnome because he just wanted to be a little guy & so he can be a Tinker.
Pearl: Wood Elf, Beastmaster Ranger
Beastmaster Ranger so she can have Tilly as an animal companion. Also more combat than magic focused, ‘cause that feels right? Elf because that’s her vibe, wood elf because it made sense for her build.
Ren: Werewolf Shifter (Doglike), Bannerette Fighter
Ren really wanted to be a fighter, but he put all his points in charisma RIP. So yeah, he’s the fighter class that does the least actual fighting lol. Doglike werewolf because of course.
Scar: Half-elf, Wild Magic Sorcerer/School of Eloquence Bard multiclass
His first few levels were in sorcerer, to reflect his absolutely bonkers all or nothing luck. School of Eloquence because he’s the type to talk his way out of most any situation he can. Also: Scar is 100% a charisma caster. (He still uses a longbow, don’t worry; he gets proficiency with it from being a half-elf.)
Scott: Fairy, Lunar Sorceror
I have changed my mind the most about Scott. Landed on Fairy, because the Vibes. Sorcerer because I felt he’d have innate magic, Lunar because it gives him access to a wide variety of spells that make sense for him. (Like Shield. He uses Shield all the time. Can’t hit this man, no sir.)
Skizz: Protector Aassimar, Path of the Ancestral Guardians Barbarian
He attac, he protec. & most importantly, he place high value on bonds between folks. So giving him Ancestral Guardians just… yeah.
Tango: Fire Genasi, Battlesmith Artificer
I don’t think I need to explain this much. His Steel Defender is an Iron Golem.

About Blank Eclipse and How all of it happen:
Tumblr media
Part 1 | Part 2?
To start with, Blank Eclipse is about a group of different members from different world. The goal behind Blank Eclipse is to stop the corruption and the interruption of the story. An unknown virus have been running around the world, choose one host or vessel to interrupt the storyline of some certain world.
There's a different types of virus they need to hunt, the virus that interrupt he storyline, the virus possessed one of the main/supporting/background cast, and the virus that ultimately kill the forgotten people.
Blank Eclipse's sole goal is to stop the virus from spreading more and more from their world. But in the end, they will be depicted as a villain in their world.
The Blank Eclipse:
(CREATOR'S NOTE: The name behind Blank Eclipse is the fact that I choose my favorite characters, and the fact I made this, I need to see what all of them have in common. Until I found the name for it, "Blank" means for an empty canvas painting, we can also choose that word for empty vessel. No emotions, no goal, no meaning. That's how I describe some certain characters.
"Eclipse" is a different meaning.
Tumblr media
For me, "Eclipse" is something you have to get through but not knowing something behind them, the shadow of that something will come back as another them. To cut it short, the Blank Eclipse have divided to three categories. I will explain later.)
The founder and leader of Blank Eclipse is one of my character from the story I've made. Inkuro Afuru. If some of you have checked my original character/OC tag, you will find her or Inkuro Afuru tag.
Anyway, Afuru has found out about the multiverse realm of different world. That we can say those realm are the other show. She found it out and explore around it but never interact with the people of it. Until, she found one world that the storyline of it suddenly been interrupt and the world have been completely wipe out by the virus.
Knowing this, she try to find the virus and destroy it at all cost but, she's the only one and she can't fight the virus all alone, she need to think how strong it is and how many of it that have been passing around the realm...
She makes her point by visiting each realm to requite one person to help her and thus, the Blank Eclipse have been form.
The Blank Eclipse have divided to 3 different groups, different members and different role.
Tumblr media
We got 3 group, 6 members for each of them, and different roles for each.
The Representative of Blank Eclipse in 3 different group; Akabane Karma from Assassination Classroom, Onodera Kyouya from Talentless Nana, and Hansel and Gretel from Dead Don't Tell Tale
The Weapon of Blank Eclipse in 3 different group; Tsugumi Seishirou from Nisekoi, Clay Moorington from Lego Nexo Knights, and Mikhail from Vanitas No Carte
The Undertaker of Blank Eclipse in 3 different group; Tomioka Giyuu from Kimetsu No Yaiba, Leonardo from Rise of The Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle, and Ace from Death On The Next Chapter
The Exterminator of Blank Eclipse in 3 different group; Sleepy Ash from Servamp, M-21 from Noblesse, and Ichinose Guren from Seraph of the End
The Strategist of Blank Eclipse in 3 different group; Todoroki Shoto from Boku No Hero Academia, Khun Aguero Agnis from Tower of God, and Dazai Osamu from Bungou Stray Dogs
And lastly, the leader of Blank Eclipse in 3 different group; Inkuro Afuru from Heart of Cursed, Gokudera Hayato from Katekyo Hitman Reborn, and Sherlock Holmes from Yuukoku No Moriarty
Those 3 groups of Blank Eclipse are being categorize with the 1st Blank Eclipse call "Puppeteer", 2nd Blank Eclipse call "Puppet, and 3rd Blank Eclipse call "Backstage".
Tumblr media
Why this specific characters and anime/story/cartoon you may ask? Well, first one, I am bored. Second, I need entertainment. Third, I want to write what they thought and understand the situation they are in.
I'll try to write my favourite characters, just like them in canon, but even I, myself, have no skill on writing nor speak English very well. I'll try to write them the way I've seen them in the story and try to see some flaws in them. Try to find what makes them the way they are and try to see them in what other people think. Such moral grey character, they were being loved and yet they've receive more hates than love.
I want to try, in their world, everyone understand them, however the second they are on different view, no one is on their side except themselves...
That's why I want to try write them together, get understand each other in different circumstances and yet so similar. To me, they are everything to me with how I do understand their flaws and try to find behind their said flaws. Not everyone is perfect, not everyone has to be perfect, there are limits of that perfect of theirs.
So, I think, this is the only way I can express and let my thought float free with how I think this is they are.

Are the ArchieSonic comics actually an 80's/90's syndicated cartoon? Episode 40: The one episode that's unique to the show's premise and characters (part 3: Iron Dominion)
Welcome back to my look at the ArchieSonic comic series, and how it shared a lot of the same story tropes as a typical ‘80s or ‘90s syndicated cartoon! Today my search for stories that are the most unique to the comic’s premise and characters takes me into Ian Flynn’s run. It's a beefy old post for a beefy old arc, which is why it's taken me so long to get this thing out. Hoo boy.
Ian wrote a lot of really great stories in ArchieSonic over the years, such as Enerjak Reborn, the Mecha Sally and Secret Freedom Fighters saga, and of course, the epic Sonic #175, where Eggman actually won. And that’s just in the main Sonic book! Sonic Universe also has lots of great arcs, including The Shadow Saga, The Tails Adventure, Scrambled, and the “Dark Trilogy” involving Shadow and Knuckles vs Eclipse. But I think the most unique ArchieSonic story Ian ever told was the Iron Dominion arc, stretching from Sonic #201 - 212, and Sonic Universe #9 - 16 (as the impact of Espio’s absence was felt during the Knuckles: The Return arc). There's too many covers to include from the full arc, but here are a few of my favourites:
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Following Sonic getting his arse kicked in #175, issue #200 saw Sonic get his revenge by taking down Dr. Eggman so easily that Eggman completely lost his mind and was reduced to a babbling, catatonic state.
Tumblr media
But Snively had been paying attention to the doctor’s decaying mental state and plotting behind the scenes for the transition of power…
Tumblr media
That’s right - Ian brought back two characters who had only made a single appearance in the comics before, in Sonic #60: the Iron King and Queen.Taking control of Eggman’s diminishing forces - which was mostly just the recently rechristened Dark Egg Legion - the Iron Queen added to it with her own armies of four ninja clans. On top of that she also had her technomagic abilities to control robotics and superpowered ox partner, making her a formidable opponent indeed.
This new threat brought back another long-absent character, Monkey Khan, who reluctantly joined forces with the Freedom Fighters in the fight against the Iron Dominion. The fight went back and forth for awhile before Snively realised that Regina’s power over digital and robotic forms would allow her to take control of Nicole’s digital consciousness.
Tumblr media
Converted into the Iron Queen’s servant, Nicole turned the nanite city  of New Mobotropolis itself against its citizens and captured a large portion of the population before Sally was able to restore her free will. Realising that even if they beat the Iron Queen now that she would come back with the rest of her ninja armies, Sally took a trip to the Dragon Kingdom with Monkey Khan, Sonic and Tails to try and convince the clans to break their ties with the Iron Queen. Nicole stayed undercover pretending to be the Iron Queen’s servant while secretly sabotaging her plans and freeing prisoners where she could until Sonic and co. returned for the big showdown. The Iron King and Queen were defeated, but in a panic Snively returned to Eggman (who had regained his senses by that time) and they were able to escape back to their base, preparing for Eggman’s next attack that would be the most devastating of all.
This was such an interesting arc! It shook up the status quo for a full year before Eggman returned to power and gave us some really interesting character moments and arcs. For instance:
Sonic and Eggman
Tumblr media
Eggman completely losing his mind after Sonic defeated him one time too many was a big surprise, and gave Sonic a lot of self-doubt and regret about how he’d handled the battle. When Eggman later escaped Snively’s custody and Sonic came to face to face with his loony butt again, Sonic actually found himself holding back because he felt bad for beating him so easily in his fragile state. I personally love this moment after they locked Eggman up and Sonic humoured his insanity rather than being mean to him.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
It’s a really interesting side of Sonic we don’t always get to see a lot of (although it's been shown a bit more regularly in IDW Sonic), and it was a really nice moment for him especially in contrast to how previous writers had portrayed Sonic as a jerk.
As for Eggman, he was a lot of fun in this arc. He went from absolutely Batbrain crazy (pardon the pun) to reasoning himself back from insanity.
Tumblr media
And he turned out to be absolutely right, too. Almost immediately after that conversation when the tables turned and Snively found himself on the losing team, he panicked and went straight back to Eggman.
Also, this moment NEVER gets old. :D
Tumblr media
Sally and Monkey Khan.
Tumblr media
This arc was an important one for both of them to develop not just as individuals, but also as a couple. Ken Khan had been absent from the comic for a long time - the last time he showed up had been Sonic #92 (except for a brief, single page cameo in #125), and he’d left a pretty bad impression then by attacking a group of innocent people just because he associated them with Eggman.
Tumblr media
Also, that. :P
Ian had to do a lot of work to make him a likable character, but I think he pulled it off. Ken had a lot of rage and pain due to the loss of his own team of Freedom Fighters, whom he later admitted he had actually murdered himself while under the Iron Queen’s control.
Tumblr media
Over the course of the arc Ken slowly came to terms with the losses he’d endured and the feelings of guilt and self-doubt he was still suffering from, as well as gradually accepting the responsibility of being “King of the Free People.”
Tumblr media
As for Sally, she had already been well on the road to recovery from the dark days leading up to and following the slap (which honestly you could probably trace all the way back to the post-Sonic Adventure arc, after Sally was separated from the Freedom Fighters and got stuck with royal duties). She’d gotten her head back in the game and returned to active duty, and even cut her hair to symbolise returning to her Freedom Fighter roots. With Ken showing up, Sally was given an opportunity to explore whether she was interested in a relationship with someone who wasn’t Sonic.
Tumblr media
They worked well together but in the end Sally decided that she had to see if she and Sonic could still work as a couple before she was ready to think about other options. And Ken showed how much he’d grown over the course of the arc by gracefully accepting the rejection rather than losing his temper.
Tumblr media
Ken and Sally remained good friends afterwards, with Sally even going to him to ask for advice when she and Sonic were preparing to go on their first date. It was a nice relationship I would have liked to have seen more of, but unfortunately the next time that we saw Monkey Khan, Sally had now been roboticised.
Snively and Regina.
Tumblr media
Now this one was really fascinating to me. Snively is probably the most selfish, self-serving, back-stabbing character to ever grace the pages of Sonic the Hedgehog, so watching him actually start to care about someone was a big change. In Sonic #194, prior to Eggman’s defeat, Snively started chatting online with Regina as part of a routine check, but was surprised to find she was someone who he could relate to and bond with.
Tumblr media
They essentially started a long-distance relationship as a couple after that, although it was done in secrecy, of course. When Snively noticed that Eggman’s mental state was rapidly deteriorating, he plotted with Regina to take control of the Eggman Empire without even having to do anything to get Eggman out of the way themselves. While it was pretty obvious that Snively was completely smitten with Regina, there was a lot of debate among the fandom about whether or not Regina felt the same way or if she was simply using him as part of her grab for power. This eventually was answered several years later during the Scrambled arc in Sonic Universe:
Tumblr media
We also got an interesting insight into Regina's backstory, finding out she was exiled from the human territories as a child for practicing illegal technomagiks.
Tumblr media
Nicole and Bunnie.
The Iron Dominion arc was a rough one for both of these characters. One of Bunnie’s greatest fears is losing control of her robotic limbs and being forced to fight her friends. It happened once before when A.D.A.M used nanites to do just that, and it happened again during Iron Dominion when the Iron Queen used her technomagik to control her.
Tumblr media
Not only did the Iron Queen force Bunnie to fight her friends, but she pushed her to her limits as well, draining her of energy to the point where she had to be briefly hospitalised afterwards.
As for Nicole, she didn’t just temporarily have her body controlled by the Iron Queen but her mind too. When the Iron Queen forced her to be her lieutenant, she was extremely effective at physically turning the entire city against its populace.
Tumblr media
After having her free will restored, Nicole wasn’t entirely sure how to deal with what had happened to her, especially since she was so new at experiencing emotions as it was.
Tumblr media
Those two issues had a massive impact on Nicole, as it started off a chain of events that resulted in her being temporarily exiled from New Mobotropolis and left alone in Freedom HQ, trying to deal with the grief of losing Sally to roboticisation, and blaming herself for the Freedom Fighters’ disbandment.
(continued in my next post - Tumblr has a limit on the number of images in a post, whoopsie. xD)

Video Games I Enjoy Playing / Have Enjoyed Playing, in no particular order:
This post ended up being a lot longer than I thought it was going to be initially. Games towards the top are in more recent memory while most games descending towards the bottom I haven't played in a bit, but with many exceptions that I don't care to point out.
People keep asking me what games I like, so I decided to make a relatively cohesive list of everything I have played at one point and also developed positive memories with it, be they from gameplay or the people I got to talk to while playing.
I have highlighted games that I would consider my "Favorites" in orange, because orange is one of my favorite colors. Anything colored in orange I have *really* fond memories of, as opposed to the ones that I have positive associations with but may have some issues with the game in some way, whether it's not having played it very much at all, or not finding it as fun as those in orange, or some other reason.
