We started rewatching Young Justice recently and all of the "sidekicks" were upset at being treated like children and being kept in the dark and not having access to information and i just?? I don't think Batman would believe in withholding information from Robin

Dick gets into everything everywhere all of the time there is no peace or privacy from him. And Bruce has never dealt with children before how is he supposed to know whats 'appropriate' for a child to know or have access to.

Speedy: it's such bs that they don't trust us with information Robin: haha what? Green Arrow: It's hard keeping information from my partner/subordinate but it's for his own good. He's a child and he can't be trusted with that sort of power yet. Do you struggle with Robin wanting access to information he doesn't have the clearance for? Batman, who's never kept a single secret from Dick and couldn't if he tried: um. yeah. absolutely.

Hang on a minute. Regarding the time travel AU, Vegapunk might not be on Egghead. This is taking place 2 years before the start of the series, right? Caesar blew up Punk Hazard 3 years before the Straw Hats arrived, meaning Caesar hasn't blown up Punk Hazard yet, and won't for another year.

Egghead was just a regular lab when Bonney visited as a child, meaning it's likely Vegapunk didn't turn it into his central laboratory until after Caesar blew up PH. Vegapunk was on Punk Hazard when Caesar blew it up, he tried to stop him.

julia doesn't get nearly enough praise for her unexpectedly incredible voice acting skills on drawtectives. she voices over 20 characters across both campaigns and each one has a unique (and consistent!) way of talking and I genuinely sometimes forget it's all the same person because some of them really barely sound like julia anymore and she really creates characters with her voice, not just her drawing. like that is an insane skill to just have without ever particularly practicing or learning it. it amazes me everytime that she can sound like the wildly different voices of a screechy child, a spoilt long island girl and a middle aged man convincingly enough to immerse you in the show without any VA background

Minho, who is strong and confident, but not emotionally, someone who shies away from more delicate moments, squirms when it gets emotional, will do something nice for someone else but will not make eye contact as he does so

Newt, who is strong and confident, especially emotionally, someone who will grin as they accept help, someone who will willingly die to help someone else, someone who will hug someone in public and not show a hint of shame after, someone who will cry and not care if they're seen

Minho falling head over heels for that sense of safety, for that confidence, for that unabashed vulnerability. Meanwhile Newt is utterly clueless

while Minho is doing things that are the pinnacle of romance to his "affection is awkward" mind, Newt is just like "hey Minho left me a snack! he's been really nice lately :D"

#remember that Kung Fu Panda 2 scene? where Tigress hugs Po and says ''I can't watch my best friend die''#and she's like. the strongest character out there. super aloof and stoic and powerful and brash #she's strong physically. and it's in that scene where you realize she's strong emotionally too #she's vulnerable and open in front of 7 people. and she just casually walks away afterwards. no shame or embarrassment #the whole movie is Po suppressing his trauma and refusing to acknowledge or feel it #and then there is Tigress. someone who he's kinda jealous of (remember their Fists Of Steel moment on the boat?)#someone who is powerful and strong and everything Po wants to be. AND someone who is willing to feel.#to be afraid. to care. to love.#anyway I was thinking about that while I wrote this #I probably don't have to spell it out but Newt is Tigress and Minho is Po #they are both very strong characters but only one of them is strong emotionally #and while I do like Tigress and Po's dynamic #the fact that Minho and Newt are BOTH confident (albeit Minho a little arrogant) makes the dynamic SO MUCH more fun #there is Po who is insecure and afraid and then there is Minho who is confident and afraid #someone who will kill without blinking but will flinch at a hug #just. I had to cut it down a bit to make sure it was only ten panels but I hope you still like it!!! I tried to keep it as true to the characters as possible. I really wanted to include Three's hallucinations in there somewhere but with the limited amount of panels I didn't get the chance. I hope to draw something related to that in the future!

I dont remember if this has been stated or if this was a hc but I honestly feel like even though Three is grateful to be apart of a family, given his faint memories of Draxum actually giving a crap about him prior to being affected with emperium, he'd be afraid that they don't actually care and they're going to rip it all away from him. Also I remember it being said that Three kinda tests the boundaries of their patience to see if that's going to happen? So that plus the purple dragons ask kinda culminated in this! Along with the idea that part of the reason Donnie doesn't get along with April is because since she argues back, she must hate him, so if she hates him then why shouldn't he hate her back? He doesn't see that she's trying to have a (platonic) relationship with him. Also I feel like he totally distances himself from her so what happened to Tim doesn't happen to her cause he knows his brothers care about her and they're already doing enough for him, he can't be even more of a burden to them. (This is all hcs ofc!!)

Also completely unrelated but hc that Three had paint all over his hand and touched the back of his mask but didn't realise and had that stain on there for months until somebody pointed it out to him-

I'm rewatching s1 again and I think it's so fucking funny how much every other doctor except nine absolutely hates guns. nine is SO excited to shoot that goddamn dalek. he is READY he is DOWN he is soooo for it. he points a gun at rose tyler and doesn't even think about it until she scolds him for it.

and then in bad wolf where he's incredibly comfortable about holding that big ass blaster. never gets onto jack about parading around with them either. just does not bat an eye. in fact he is threatening people with it, even if it is a farce.

the others would NEVER lol

thinking about this writing prompt with Nat and Y/N. Where Nat is a pretty high up SHIELD agent as usual, but Fury still won't tell her who she's reporting to, citing it as 'above her clearance'. So she comes back home, to her wife, grumbling about how unfair her 'company bosses' are for not trusting her with 'corporate secrets', while Y/N is giggling to herself as she comforts her poor wife and agrees that her higher ups must be real idiots to not trust her (and maybe one day Nat's 'handler' laughs about how 'we're all idiots here, hm?' to get Natasha to finally realise who her handler is)

#thinking about it the other way too where Y/N is a junior SHIELD agent reporting to a well-known agent known only as 'The Black Widow'#and everyone calls their handler that and they're too awkward to ask her for her real name. so never learn it.#and natasha only sends text messages because she KNOWS thats the format Y/N prefers.
