A list of Matthias and Kaz parallels (part one)

They both lost a sibling, Matthias lost his younger sister and Kaz lost his older brother

Both of their siblings murdered

Both of them are orphans / both of their parents are dead (we don't know what happened to Kaz's mum, but she's presumably dead)

Had to unlearn behaviours in order to be with their wives

Both joined gangs of sorts (the dregs being a literal gang and well the drüskelle was basically a gang)

From what we know about their backstory, the early years of their life seem peaceful and joyful

In those gangs, they did not want to participate in the comradeship they were just using it to survive

Both Kaz and Matthias were consumed by hate/ revenge

This one is a stretch, but they both had 'father' figures who were using them to feed their greed

Village boysss

Spent their older childhood fighting to survive (Matthias being taught so he can stay with the drüskelle / survive and Kaz fighting to survive and live in being feared)

Both wanting to make the people that took their family away from them fear them and, in general, wanting to be feared

Down real badd for their wives

Became the best at what they did (Matthias one of the best drüskelle and kaz being the best barrel boss)
