Snippy from the chapter 4 of my pinned Stranger Things fic! This is a dream Eddie has about Henry being a catboy :D.
------
“HENRY FOR FUCKS SAKE, C’MON!”
Jane looked over to her brother’s locked office as their newest secretary’s voice reached a pitch.
“No. Nooooo! Leave me alowwwwnnoooooooOOOOAWWWWWWRRRRRRRAUGHHHHHRWWWW!”
Henry’s voice going from coherent words to an absolutely wrenching cry for help gave her all the context she needed.
The sound of ripping furniture that followed the still almost ear splitting cat-song of despair made her burst out laughing, unable to hold back any longer.
Eddie Munson, for all his laid back demeanour, did not have patience for some things, apparently.
Dirty cat-hybrids seemed to be one of them.
“MRAWWWWWWWWWWWRRRRRR!!!!” was followed by the barely perceptible sound of the showerhead in her brother’s office.
Max Mayfield, their liaison with the local landscapers, was barely managing to hold back her own laughter.
“D-did he fall -skneeee- in the muddy ditch ag-ain? Pbftttt-” she managed to get out between wheezes.
Jane didn’t even try to answer, too busy gasping for air. He had, in fact, fallen into the muddy ditch again. Despite the even taller fence they had put up.
Finally, Max seemed to get her snickers under control. “Was -snrkkk- was it a bluejay again?”
Jane shrugged. Honestly, she wouldn’t be surprised if it was, but if that was the case, she was getting him a t-shirt. Knowing bluejays, it was probably the same one as last time. They were related to crows, after all. If it had been her, she would 100% had taken the chance to get Henry to jump into a muddy ditch again for nothing but shits and giggles.
As far as office-baths went, the fact that Henry was the CEO of their company and effectively Eddie’s boss was a moot point for them both as the chocolate-eyed brunet was also his fiance.
It was explicitly stated in his contract that he couldn’t be disciplined for reasonable attempts to keep Henry safe and hygienic. But that, realistically, didn’t hold as much weight as the engagement ring on Eddie’s finger.
Henry’s pleading yowls in response to the (to him) crime that was a cold office bath was thankfully not as ear-splitting as it used to be since the extra sound dampening had been added around the door. It was too bad they couldn’t completely soundproof it because security reasons.
The rest of the office wasn’t even trying to look busy anymore.
Jonathan Byers, their web editor and a labrador-hybrid, had his ears lowered and his tail tucked between his legs in sympathy for the cat-hybrid’s plight. Nancy, his non-hybrid girlfriend, was rubbing his back comfortingly.
Had Robin been here, she’d have been laughing her ass off. If it turned out to be the work of another bluejay, she’d probably even start a scoreboard, being a bluejay-hybrid herself. But it was her day off.
She would be so sad she missed this but Jane spotted Steve with his phone out, obviously taking great joy in telling her exactly what she was missing.
“RAAAAAAARRRRRRRRRWWWWWWWWW-hcuppp!p’chu!t’chu!-mmmmMRRRRRRRRRRWWWOOOOOooooooo!!!”
Thankfully even Henry had to stop to breathe, eventually.
And it seemed to be just in time for Eddie to finish getting him clean again because the showerhead shut off not long after.
“Doesn’t he shower at home though?” Max asked softly.
Jane snickered. “Ya. It’s the water temperature. The bathroom at home feels like a sauna when he’s done showering. Can’t do that here or it’ll rot the ceiling and we’ll lose the damage deposit. Besides, he gets treats after.”
The building was just a rental after all.
Poor bastard. If he didn’t have a meeting with a client in an hour, they could’ve rushed home to wash him off.
While Jane could still hear grumbling coming from the closed office, she was thankful Henry had stopped trying to make the injustices of office baths known everyone’s ears bleed.
If she listened closely enough at the door, she could probably even hear Eddie soothing him with cooed reassurances and praises. She had no doubt he was being covered in kisses too.
And being fed duck with cheese and warm goat’s milk.
She was admittedly slightly jealous of the hybrid sometimes. Even though she could easily buy those things for herself, that wasn’t the point.
He would also undoubtedly be getting coddling from almost every person in the building, as his yowling had been rife with ‘poor, unfortunate, innocent creature forced to experience The Horrors’ and not even Jane could resist that level of dolefulness.
Henry’s twin, Edward Creel, who hated his name with a vengeance and ‘would much prefer to be called Dee, thank you very much Jane’, would scoff at his behaviour and mock him, completely ignoring that, as a snow leopord-hybrid, he wouldn’t be feeling the cold water nearly as much as Henry would.
Or maybe he just liked riling up his younger brother (by one whole minute which was apparently a large gap in twin time). That seemed more likely, if Jane was honest with herself, seeing as Henry’s preferred mischief was filling water in empty milk cartons and then randomly swapping them in with the actual milk whenever his twin was over. And only then. He never did that when it was Alice visiting.
The man was on leave for his annual summer vacation with his husband, and Jane’s old middle school teacher, Scott Clarke. They were going to the Caribbean this time on a short expedition to the Amazon Rainforest before going to a resort in Brazil that Jane couldn’t even pronounce.
He would also be getting an update of what had happened today, but from Jane herself. Because she did very much like seeing them cause trouble with each other.
Meanwhile, in the now-quiet office, Eddie was laying on the newly re-shredded couch in an old nightgown waiting for his and Henry’s suits to dry. At least the mud had come out easy. They really should get the dryer upgraded. It was a miracle the office building had the facilities for one on the floor in the first place.
Henry was in a bathrobe seated in the small armchair near him, eating his duck and cheese cuts with an empty glass set on the sidetable.
His tail was flicking happily behind him, forming a loose question mark, and a low purr was rumbling from his throat. The sound was making Eddie unconsciously relax into the soft couch.
They thankfully still had about a half hour left before Henry’s meeting, so hopefully the clothes would be dry by then.
He let his eyes linger on the hybrid in the armchair as the blond licked his fingers, feline ears twitching to and fro as he listened to things around him that Eddie could only guess at. Henry would need a shave soon, if he was feeling up to it.
Struck by a sudden urge, Eddie hauled his ass off the couch and went to stand in front of his fiance. Before Henry could do more than blink his sky-blue eyes at him, Eddie bent and kissed him full on his soft, pink lips. As the taste of Honeyed Duck and some sharp, fancy cheese Eddie still couldn’t pronounce burst across his taste buds, he deepened the kiss to the tune of Henry’s even heavier purring. It was almost making both their chests rumble.
Breaking to give them both some air, Eddie smoothed Henry’s still slightly damp, blond locks out around his ears and pressed a short kiss to his head. As Henry took heavy breaths beneath him, still letting out soft purrs, Eddie tucked the blond’s face under his chin, bracing a hand against the back of the armchair to take some of the strain off his hips.
He chuckled as Henry took the chance to run his tongue under his chin. Eddie reckoned he could probably use a shave, himself, as he frowned at the feel of Henry’s tongue on his growing stubble.
He sighed, letting the older man continue to groom his face.
He had barely made it out of his SUV earlier that morning when the mournful yowling had started. All he had needed to do was check the CEO parking spot for Henry’s ride to guess what had happened.
Hauling the mud covered, crying-slash-complaining cat-hybrid out of the ditch, to the barely concealed snickers of the landscaping team, had gotten Eddie so dirty that he would have been better off not showering before he left home.
“Murrrrrrrrrrrowwwwwwowowowowowowowowowowow” was the tune of Henry’s grumbling the entire way into the building.
“Yeah babe, I know. Bad bird. How dare it not hold still for your wonderfully planned catch? I know. You would have caught me a very big bird, wouldn’t you? Such a good boy~, trying to catch me presents.” Eddie had placated, trying to both soothe the blond’s ego as well as guide Henry to his office without him realizing what was coming.
Usually, Henry would dust his clothes off and groom/brush himself, but he was covered in mud this time (again , technically). And he had a meeting in an hour, if Eddie had remembered correctly.
Eddie had managed to get to his office, too, quietly shutting the door behind them and ignoring everyone’s whispering.
Unfortunately, Henry had caught on when he started to unbutton his shirt and Eddie was sure the entire floor had heard every note Henry could muster from that point on until the soaking wet end.
Bringing his focus back to his fiance, Eddie hummed at the feel of the man’s tongue on his collarbone, leaning to let the nightgown’s strap fall fully off his shoulder so Henry had more of him to ‘groom’. He didn’t have anything more than peach fuzz below his neck right now, but the attention from Henry felt nice.
Maybe he could take him to the community centre this afternoon so the man could catch some (stuffed) birds and work off some energy.
Finished with his grooming, Henry set his face against Eddie’s chest, purring low. Eddie took that to mean his husband-to-be was no longer miffed about the cold bath. He gently held Henry’s head against him and nuzzled into his hair, pressing his mouth against the silky blond locks.
They stayed like this for a few more moments before Henry reluctantly pulled away saying he needed to go review his pitch for their client.
Eddie stretched and declared he’d take a quick snooze until the clothes dried. Nothing in his calendar was so urgent that it couldn’t wait twenty minutes.
After setting an alarm on his phone, the brunet settled down on the couch. He would have to remember to tell Jane to get her brother that shirt.

Edit: This was supposed to post at 2 pm but I think it accidentally posted now. 😳😅 Note: So this is in the main universe with Megan and Tess being together.
Meanwhile, Iseul and Grace took Tess, Megan, and Cam to Iseul’s gym in San Myshuno. "This is fancy as hell." Megan said, raising her brows as she took in the decor and large windows opening up to views of the Financial District. "Yup, but so worth it. Wait til you try the massages they have, plus the sauna." Iseul said, smiling at Megan before adding. "You ready to sweat, Liao?" Megan pretended to stretch. "Ready, Kang. Mostly I'm excited for that massage I'll have post-workout." She added, and Iseul laughed.
While Grace and Tess chatted by the treadmills, Iseul mentored Megan as she used a weight lifting/leg press machine. "Come on, Megs, you got this." Iseul encouraged. "Sure." Megan said, trying not to sound as out of breath as she felt. "This is just like in college. When you took me to your gym. And told me to lift weights with you. You were lifting heavy as heck ones when I could barely lift the medium light ones without my arms burning." Megan huffed out in between her sets. "I remember." Iseul said, grinning. "You almost dropped one weight." Megan nodded. "Thanks though, Is. I'm comfortable with my body but I want to lose maybe a few pounds and get some muscle tone. Ever since I gave birth to Emmy years ago, I've gained a bit of extra weight and it's not bad but now I want to lose some in a healthy way." Iseul nodded. "I get that, if it'll make you feel confident that's great. But you also look beautiful like you are now." Iseul added, before clearing her throat as Megan blushed. "Thanks." She said.
After this, Megan took a quick relaxing bath and then joined everyone else downstairs to play basketball. Iseul bit her lip to stop from smiling as Megan sang the lyrics from high school musical's get'cha head in the game under her breath. "That's your strategy, Liao?" She teased. "Yes. Plus it's stuck in my head ever since I watched the movie with Emily last week." She said, and Iseul smiled. "She's such a dork." Tess added lovingly to Iseul, who grinned and nodded. "Hey! Grace can you believe it? These two are teaming up against me." Megan grumbled and Grace laughed too. "It's okay Megs, we'll kick their butts in basketball." Grace said, giving Iseul a flirtatious look. "Sure, jagiya." Iseul said, but her eyes were soft as she looked at Grace and winked playfully. Megan felt that same weird pang at this, and pushed it down. Stop it. Iseul is Grace’s, and I love Tess, she told her brain*. She chalked it up to a random feeling and smiled at Tess. "Get ready to lose, Tessie." She said, and Tess snorted. "Megs, I've been playing basketball since I was a kid." She teased her wife back, and Megan smiled. "If you guys would stop flirting." Iseul's niece Cam said, shaking her head and smiling.

Thirsty Thursday Friday: Dick and Joan, ❛ if you won’t take care of yourself, then who will? ❜ ? please and thank you!
Pacific Rim AU? Pacific Rim AU. Everyone can use some giant monster fighting robots.
(There's some other backstory here I'll share another time, but it will help you to know that Joan had an accident long before this scene and uses a walking stick.)
It had been a long day.
It seemed silly, saying that when you piloted a gigantic robot for a living, but it had, hadn’t it, the class three with the acid spitting and the razor claws and nearly losing Enigma Fury with a hull breach. The Shatterdome didn’t have much to recommend it in relation to, say, a luxury hotel, but there was a modest workout and weight room, a sauna (installed at the request of several visiting Nordic rangers) and ice bath (installed at the request of the station’s physical therapist.) And, for slightly more selfish reasons, there was also a hot tub - which was where Dick found himself now, slowly simmering the ache out of hard-used muscles.
Yes, the two man team for Scoundrel Easy had had, as the kids called it, a Day, so Lewis had disappeared back to his bunk and the consolations of the lovely Eileen, and Marj and Lip were still in the medbay, running a couple of tests after that hull breach had deprived them of steady oxygen, and  that left Dick enjoying the tub all on his own - a rare treat for a tired Jaeger pilot. The privileges of rank - not too many people had keys to this part of the building.
And he was just closing his eyes and relishing the silence when he heard the door squeak open, and a familiar tap-step-tap across the floor.
“Oh!”
His eyes flew open, suddenly self conscious that he was sitting here shirtless - and his visitor wasn’t wearing many clothes either. Joan looked somehow diminished in a dark blue robe, loosely tied over a two piece swimsuit, her walking stick in one hand and a towel in the other. She looked as surprised as he did. “I didn't - I'll come back later.”
Dick stood up, the air suddenly cold after the warmth of the tub. “Joan, please. There's - there's plenty of room for both of us. You need it as much as I do.”
She gave an apologetic smile. “Rangers have first dibs. I wasn't the one getting my ass kicked this afternoon.”
“But you were watching,” Dick said quickly. “And that's just as bad, sometimes. Especially when you're… used to doing something.” He couldn’t imagine what the day had been like for Joan. sitting back in the command console - he had heard her, running the coms, voice rising in fear and desperation as they tried to combat the hull breach, get Marj and Car’s oxygen back on. To have to sit down when you were once the one in the pilot’s seat - it must have been unbearable.  And she looked tired - there was no way around that. Wouldn’t you be, too, if your best friend had nearly died? “Please. I insist.”
She stared. “You insist.” He couldn't tell whether she was annoyed or amused by the phrase.
“If you're not going to take care of yourself, who will?”
She looked like she was trying to decide about starting an argument, but silence won out. She dropped the towel at the side of the pool and began unknotting her robe, easing it off her shoulders so she could carefully fold it to leave next to the towel.
She looked different, outside of her uniform - less weight in her shoulders to make her look imposing.  And then there were the scars - a horrific network on her thigh, the welts running up over her hip and underneath the line of her suit. They'd evened out some, since the pictures Dick had seen, but it still looked painful - and to watch Joan stand there, naked and without something to hold her up, was pain all its own. He realized he was staring and looked down at his hands.
She gave a small laugh. “Not much like that pinup, is it?” She grimaced as she made her way down the steps into the pool, careful not to put too much weight on her scarred leg. “It was all over the messageboards, when I was first in the hospital, guys who'd seen that poster and thought it was such a crime that the Corps had ‘ruined such a nice pair of legs’. Never anything about me - or about Harry. He would have laughed about it, but - still. It hurt different. Like I was...only valuable for being a pretty face you could slap on your locker. Or jerk off to on a Saturday night.” She eased herself down into the water and took a long, slow, steadying breath, closing her eyes for just a moment, radiant with relief.
“I'm sorry.”
She opened her eyes and shrugged, carefully making her way to the other side of the tub. “Not your fault. I just always thought it funny how everyone was beating down that door until they weren't. A crew chief just isn't as sexy as a ranger with a robot, you know?”
“Does the water help?”
She nodded. “I swim now, rather than running. Less pressure on my legs.”
He nodded, and the two of them sat for a while in silence, Dick trying to get rid of the familiar ache in his hand by flexing his fingers back and forth. Joan watched him for a while and then propelled herself up from the bench, moving to stand across from him, the water holding most of her weight.
“Here, give me your hand. There's a massage sequence you can do for the cramping. After being in those gloves all day I know it hurts. Harry and I used to do this, after missions. It helps a lot, especially with the chemicals in the water.”
Dick held out his hand and instinctively closed his eyes, wincing at the first touch of her fingers and then letting himself relax as her fingers worked easily at the muscle of his hand, the inside of his wrists, his arm, firm but still somehow gentle. The feeling of her hands on his skin made him want to cry. He had Lew in his head every day, but he couldn’t tell himself the last time someone had touched him like this - had touched him at all. And that she would do this for him, after the day she’d had, the pain she was in - Who the hell wouldn’t want this?  He wanted to scream, or punch a wall, but she was still holding his hand, so he settled for letting the tears flow freely down his face and let her move on to the other hand in pained and grateful silence.
If she saw his tears, she didn’t mention them, slowly working over his palms and calluses until his whole body felt light and disconnected. “Better?”
“Much.” But he didn’t want her to leave, desperate to keep this feeling as close as he could for as long as he could, and grabbed for her hand. “Joan.” Her eyes met his. “I read the mission file. You brought Jester Quiet back on half a servo array, one engine and one pilot. I think you're amazing.” He stopped, unsure if he should say the next part, not quite knowing how it would be received. “And sexy as hell.” Scars and all.
She snorted. “Lew said he wasn't sure you knew what sexy meant.”
“Lew needs to start keeping his thoughts to himself,” Dick declared, leaning over so he could kiss her. He felt her gasp at the intrusion, her whole body tense up to go on the defense, too surprised to enjoy it. Idiot! He pulled away, immediately regretting the risk. “Sorry, I-”
“Don’t be,” she begged, moving in closer and pushing him against the side of the tub so she could kiss him again. How long since someone’s touched her, he wondered, dragging his arm around her waist so he could hold her up against him, the water pulsing around the two of them in regular ripples and eddies, and suddenly he didn’t want to cry so much as -
“Joan, I wasn’t ever immune to that pinup, either,” he admitted quietly, in between breaths as he felt himself getting hard in his swim shorts.
Another half-laugh, a certain tightening of her arms around his shoulders. “You're allowed, if you keep kissing me like this.”

TUF 18, Chapter 6 // Support (finale edition part 5)
Fandom: The Ultimate Fighter Pairing(s): Shayna x Dakota, platonic four horsewomen Potential trigger warning: mentions of weight, losing weight, and cutting weight
Fight Week, Thursday
"You really don't have to be in here," Shayna says, shifting uncomfortably as sweat rolls down her back.
Dakota lets out a sigh. This is the third time they've had this conversation. "Shayna, I want to be in here," she says. She, Shayna, and Jessamyn have been in the sauna for over an hour now. Shayna and Jess are trying to work up a sweat in order to lose weight before the weigh-in tomorrow. It took almost half an hour for Dakota to convince Shayna that she couldn't skip the pre-fight press conference to go cut weight. Ronda is with Marina, getting her ready for her weigh-in, but she told Dakota to make sure Shayna and Jess don't overdo it in the sauna.
The timer on Shayna's watch beeps, and she and Jessamyn stand up, quickly exiting the sauna. Dakota follows, and they go over to the scale. Jessamyn checks her weight first, and comes in at 138 and a half. She nods, satisfied with the result. She'll cut another pound or so during training later today, and then will take baths to lose the last couple of pounds.
Shayna checks her weight next, and comes in at 139. "Not great, but it could be worse," she says, stepping off the scale. "I just have to cut my water now, rather than after training."
"Are you sure that's safe?" Dakota asks, concerned.
"Don't worry, I'll be okay," Shayna says. Both Jess and Shayna text their nutritionist an update on their weight, before heading to the gym at the hotel, where Ronda and Marina are sitting on the mats. Marina has a bottle of water in her hands, and she's clearly fighting the urge to down the entire bottle at once. "How'd it go?" Shayna asks.
"I made weight," Marina says casually, standing up from the ground. "And now I'm going to go get some food in my body. I'll come check on you guys in a bit," she says, waving goodbye to the group before leaving the gym. Dakota goes with her, heading up to her and Shayna's room to take a shower and leaving the fighters with their coaches.
Throughout their entire training session, it's clear that Shayna isn't at her strongest. The weight cut is taking its toll, but Shayna is a professional, and she knows how to make weight.
After training, Jessamyn takes the advice of the nutritionist and heads back to the sauna. But Shayna heads back up to the hotel room. In the bathroom, she strips down to just her sports bra and shorts, while Dakota fills up the bathtub with hot water. Once the tub is full, Shayna climbs inside and sits down. Dakota sits on the floor next to the tub, resting her hand on the ledge so Shayna can hold it.
"How are you feeling?" she asks, her voice calm and soft.
Shayna lets out a breath. "Not great," she admits. "No matter how many times I cut weight, it still sucks just as much every time."
"I know," Dakota says, giving her hand a squeeze. "But you're going to get through this. I know you will."
Shayna turns to look at Dakota, and despite how dehydrated she is, tears still come to her eyes. "But what if I can't?" she asks, her voice smaller than Dakota has ever heard it. "What if this is the time I can't get through it, Dakota?"
"Then we'll handle that if it happens," Dakota says, trying to reassure her friend. "But Shayna, you're going to get through this. You're the strongest person I know, and if anyone can do this, it's you."
Shayna doesn't have the energy to try to stop the tears from falling. "You don't know that," she says, feeling weaker than she's ever felt before.
"Yes, I do," Dakota says. She reaches up with the hand that isn't being held by Shayna's hand, and wipes away her tears. "I promise, you're going to make it. And I'll be with you, every step of the way. I'll always be there for you, Shay."
Shayna feels her cheeks flush at the nickname, and hopes Dakota just thinks it's from sweating. "How did I get so lucky to have you in my life?" she asks, giving Dakota’s hand a squeeze. Dakota looks down at the floor and smiles shyly. "Seriously Dakota, I don't know what I would do without you," Shayna says.
"You would be doing exactly what you're doing now," Dakota says. "Being the amazing fighter that you are. You don't need me to be able to do that."
"But I wouldn't have gotten through this camp. I wouldn't have ever tried out for the show. I wouldn't be making my UFC debut in two days," Shayna says, looking at Dakota. "You've made me a better fighter, Dakota. You don't give yourself enough credit, but you really have helped me so much more than you will ever know."
This time, Dakota is the one with tears in her eyes. "Shay-" she starts to say, but is cut off by the door to the bathroom opening.
Ronda pokes her head in. "How are you doing?" she asks Shayna.
"I'm fine, all things considered," Shayna says.
"Have you checked your weight recently?" Ronda asks.
Shayna shakes her head. "Not since before training," she says.
"Check it now," Ronda says. Dakota passes Shayna a towel and she climbs out of the bath and dries herself off before stepping onto the scale. It reads 137.5. "Alright, no more for you tonight," Ronda says, reaching over to drain the bathtub. Shayna opens her mouth to protest, but Ronda holds up a hand to stop her. "You'll probably sweat off another half pound to a pound tonight while you're sleeping. And then you'll cut the last little bit in the morning. But I don't want you to overdo it."
"Fine," Shayna sighs, knowing that arguing with Ronda is pointless. She turns to Dakota. "I'm gonna take a shower."
"Okay," Dakota says, leaving her alone in the bathroom and going to change into her pajamas.
A few minutes later, Shayna returns, wrapped in a towel, her hair wet. She grabs her pajamas and then ducks back into the bathroom to change. When she comes back out, she smiles at the sight of Dakota and holds out her comb and a couple of rubber bands. A silent request, which Dakota immediately nods in agreement to. Shayna sits down on the floor in front of the couch that Dakota is sitting on, and Dakota begins to comb through Shayna's wet hair.
"You're doing so good," Dakota says as she begins to weave Shayna's black hair into two french braids. "I know how hard this camp has been for you, and I'm so proud of you for hanging in there."
Shayna feels heat rise to her cheeks, and she's glad that her back is to Dakota. "Thanks," she says softly, feeling the tension slowly leaving her shoulders as Dakota braids her hair. Since Shayna and Dakota first met, they've had a routine. Dakota always does Shayna's hair before weigh-ins and fights.
Dakota ties off the first braid and moves to the second. "Are you going to Marina's fight tomorrow?" she asks.
"Yeah, Jess and I are cornering her fight," Shayna says. "Do you want to come?"
"Sure," Dakota says, twisting her her fingers through Shayna's hair. "I'm really glad I was able to come visit you. Training hasn't been the same without you." She ties off the second braid and pats Shayna's shoulder to let her know she's good to get up.
Shayna stands up and pulls Dakota with her onto the bed, wrapping her arms around the smaller girl. "From what I've heard, you've been doing just fine without me," Shayna says. "You've been giving some of the best girls out there a run for their money," she says, her voice full of pride.
"I know. But it's not the same as having you with me," Dakota says. "But I wanted to make you proud, even though you weren't there."
"Dakota, I'll always be proud of you," Shayna says. "No matter what you do, I'll always be proud of you." She holds Dakota close to her, and they stay that way until Shayna decides she needs to try and get some sleep. She never sleeps well the night before weigh-ins, because of how hungry and dehydrated she is. But with Dakota in her arms, she sleeps a little better.

Elevate Your Wellness: How Saunas Can Enhance Your Health and Lifestyle
Tumblr media
Many turn to diets, exercise, and mindfulness for wellness and a healthier lifestyle. However, one ancient tradition, often overlooked, offers a wealth of health benefits: the sauna. Originating from Finland over 2000 years ago, sauna bathing has become a cherished ritual worldwide for its profound health and relaxation benefits.
The Science of Sauna Bathing
At its core, a sauna is a small room or house designed for experiencing dry or wet heat sessions. The high temperatures in saunas, typically ranging from 70°C to 100°C (158°F to 212°F), induce sweating, which is the body’s natural way of cooling down. This simple act of sweating in a controlled environment can have far-reaching health implications.
Detoxification and Improved Circulation
One of the most cited benefits of sauna use is detoxification. Sweating allows the body to eliminate toxins, including heavy metals like lead mercury, and environmental chemicals. The heat also promotes blood flow, improving circulation. This enhanced circulation not only helps in toxin removal but also aids in muscle recovery, making saunas popular among athletes.
Mental Health and Stress Relief
In our fast-paced world, stress is a common ailment. Saunas offer a sanctuary of warmth and quiet, ideal for relaxation and stress relief. The heat relaxes muscles and alleviates tension in the body, which can reduce cortisol levels, the body’s primary stress hormone. This serene environment is conducive to meditation and mindfulness, fostering a calm mind and reduced anxiety.
Skin Health and Anti-Aging
Regular sauna use can also have remarkable effects on skin health. Sweating naturally cleanses the skin, unclogging pores and flushing out impurities. It also increases skin elasticity and hydration, which can help reduce the visible signs of aging. Saunas can thus be a valuable addition to your skincare regimen.
Cardiovascular Health and Longevity
One of the most significant findings in sauna research is its impact on cardiovascular health. Studies have shown that regular sauna use can lower blood pressure, reduce the risk of heart disease, and even decrease the risk of sudden cardiac death. The heat mimics a cardiovascular workout, giving your heart a gentle yet effective exercise.
Improved Respiratory Function
Saunas can also be beneficial for respiratory health. The warm, moist air can help open airways, loosen phlegm, and alleviate symptoms like asthma and bronchitis. Many find relief from sinus congestion and cold symptoms after a sauna session.
Weight Loss and Metabolism
While saunas are not a magic solution for weight loss, they can complement your fitness efforts. The high temperatures can increase your metabolic rate slightly, leading to more calories burned. The heat can enhance endurance by increasing your tolerance to high temperatures, which benefits athletes training in hot conditions.
A Social and Cultural Experience
Beyond the physical and mental health benefits, saunas also have a social and cultural aspect. In many cultures, sauna bathing is a communal activity, a time to relax and socialize. This social interaction can positively contribute to mental health and foster community.
Incorporating Saunas into Your Lifestyle
Incorporating sauna sessions into your wellness routine is relatively easy. Many gyms, spas, and health clubs offer sauna facilities. Home saunas are also available for those who prefer privacy or have specific health needs.
It’s important to note that while saunas are safe for most people, those with certain health conditions, such as low blood pressure or heart problems, should consult a doctor before using a sauna. Additionally, staying hydrated is crucial as the body loses a significant amount of water through sweating.
Conclusion

Now that health club know more about Quality Fitness & Health, out of Nephi, Utah, let’s talk about why you should workout at a gym and fitness center, instead of at home. If you're considering joining a gym, there are some important things to consider before you sign up for that monthly fee. Besides the price tag, there's also the inconvenience of having to travel and potentially waiting for equipment when it's in high demand. If you're happy with your workout routine and can get the same results at home (say, via fitness YouTube channels), the gym might not be worth the trouble for you, but for most people a gym is important for staying motivated and reaching their fitness goals. Gym workouts provide a variety of benefits you can't get at home, including the opportunity to join classes and a sense of community. Plus, the facility can be a great place to try new exercise equipment you wouldn't have at home. There are many benefits of going to the gym instead of working out at home, but deciding what matters most to you will help you determine whether it's worth the extra effort to get fit at the gym. The main advantage of going to the gym is that you'll be surrounded by other people who are also trying to stay healthy, which can be motivating. Having the accountability of friends and family is a proven way to increase your chances of sticking with your workouts, according to many studies. Having a designated time to exercise in front of other people also helps you stick with your workouts because it's harder to skip when you've committed to others. In addition to socializing and a supportive atmosphere, the gym is a good place to avoid distractions. It's easy to lose focus at home when you're doing yard work, cleaning the house or answering phone calls. The gym is a perfect spot to escape those daily tasks and give your body a focused, intentional workout. Most people don't have the space at home to set up a comprehensive workout room with items like a squat rack, variety of plates and heavy weights. Some gyms even offer specialized equipment, such as kettlebells and medicine balls. Aside from the equipment, many gyms offer perks like pools with saunas, Turkish baths and dedicated fitness studios, plus health-focused cafes and shops in some locations. Whether you're a runner who wants to train on a treadmill that was just wiped down by a sprinter or a lifter who dislikes the idea of crowded machines, finding a gym that makes you feel welcome is critical. But if the thought of a gym full of other people wearing spandex in a striped sports bra is enough to keep you at home, it's completely ok to be comfortable in your own sweaty attire while working out. Your workouts will still be just as effective and your progress just as impressive. Now that you know the benefits of going to a gym and fitness center over working out at home, it is time to go back to the website of Quality Fitness & Health, for a cleaner, safer, and more inclusive fitness experience!

Making weight for my fight was no easy feat.
I was out of shape, no where near fit enough to step into sparring let alone a ring on day 1. Even had blonde hair from losing a bet. 🤦‍♂️
I trained relentlessly for 12 weeks, shedding a total of 10+ kilos and dropping my body fat percentage by a whopping 10.9%. 🥵
The Focus 👉 saunas, ice baths, nutrition & optimal hydration.
My current body fat percentage stands at 7.8%, and the journey to get there was nothing short of intense. But I loved it!
It meant dedicating myself to training day in and day out, existing in my own bubble of focus and determination with the help of @thecombatdietitian in my corner.
It may have seemed selfish, but it was all in the pursuit of the result.

Strategies to Cut Weight and Maintain Muscle Mass for Combat Sports
 Introduction
Cutting weight while maintaining muscle mass is a crucial challenge for athletes in combat sports like boxing, mixed martial arts (MMA), wrestling, and jiu-jitsu. Striking the right balance between shedding excess pounds and preserving lean muscle is essential for optimal performance and overall health. In this article, we will explore effective strategies to help combat sports athletes achieve their weight-cutting goals without sacrificing muscle mass.
Understanding the Basics
Before diving into specific strategies, it’s essential to understand some fundamental concepts:
Body Composition: Athletes should know their body fat percentage, muscle mass, and total body weight to set realistic goals and monitor progress.
Nutrition: Nutrition plays a pivotal role in weight management. Athletes need to maintain a caloric deficit to lose weight while ensuring an adequate intake of protein to preserve muscle mass.
Hydration: Proper hydration is crucial. Dehydration can lead to a loss of muscle strength and endurance.
Timing: The timing of weight cutting is critical. Athletes should plan their weight cuts well in advance, ideally during the off-season or in a controlled manner during the fight camp.
Strategies to Cut Weight and Maintain Muscle Mass
Gradual Weight Loss: Instead of crash diets and extreme measures, aim for gradual weight loss. Aiming for 0.5-1% of your body weight loss per week is a sustainable and muscle-friendly approach.
Balanced Diet: Focus on a balanced diet with an appropriate mix of carbohydrates, protein, and healthy fats. Protein is essential for muscle preservation, so ensure an adequate intake.
Caloric Deficit: Create a caloric deficit through portion control and increased physical activity. Consult a sports nutritionist to determine your specific caloric needs.
Meal Timing: Distribute your meals evenly throughout the day. Consider pre- and post-workout meals to fuel your training and support recovery.
Strength Training: Incorporate resistance training to maintain muscle mass. Compound exercises like squats, deadlifts, and bench presses are effective for this purpose.
Hydration: Stay well-hydrated, especially during intense training sessions. Dehydration can lead to muscle cramps and weakness.
Supplementation: Consult with a healthcare professional or nutritionist to determine if supplements like BCAAs (branched-chain amino acids) or creatine can support muscle preservation during weight cutting.
Monitoring: Regularly assess your progress by measuring body composition and performance. Adjust your strategies accordingly.
Consult Professionals: Seek guidance from a qualified nutritionist, sports dietitian, or coach with experience in combat sports to create a personalized plan.
Recovery: Prioritize adequate sleep and recovery to minimize stress on the body during the weight-cutting process.
Weight-Cutting Protocols: If necessary, consult with professionals to implement safe and effective weight-cutting protocols, such as sauna sessions and hot baths, under controlled conditions.
Conclusion
Cutting weight while maintaining muscle mass is a challenging but essential aspect of combat sports preparation. Athletes must approach this process with a well-thought-out plan that includes gradual weight loss, proper nutrition, hydration, strength training, and professional guidance. By prioritizing health and muscle preservation, combat sports athletes can optimize their performance and achieve their weight-cutting goals safely and effectively. Remember that individual needs and responses vary, so consulting with experts is crucial for tailoring a strategy that suits your specific requirements.

Exploring Different Types of Saunas: Which One is Right for You
Are you ready to embark on a journey of relaxation and rejuvenation? Step into the world of Premier Saunas & Steam Room, where warmth melts away your worries and revitalises you.
But with so many different types out there, how do you know which sauna is right for you? From traditional Finish saunas to innovative infrared options, we'll dive into the details and help you find the perfect match. So, sit back, relax, and let's explore the wonderful world of saunas together!
Introduction to Saunas
A sauna is a small room or house designed as a place to experience dry or wet heat sessions or steam baths. Saunas can be used for relaxation, recreation, or for health purposes.
Health benefits reported from using saunas include temporary relief from pain and muscle aches, improved blood circulation, and relieved stress. There are three main types of saunas- electric, infrared, and wood-burning.
Types of Saunas
When it comes to saunas, there are a few different types to choose from. Traditional, infrared, and steam saunas are all popular options that offer different benefits. Let’s take a closer look at each one so you can decide which type of sauna is right for you.
Tumblr media
Traditional Sauna
A traditional sauna uses dry heat to raise the air temperature inside the room. This type of sauna is typically made out of wood, and the heat is generated by rocks that have been heated up with electricity or a wood-burning stove.
One of the main benefits of a traditional sauna is that it can help you relax and detoxify your body. The high temperatures make you sweat, which helps to release toxins from your body. The heat also helps to loosen up tight muscles and relieve pain.
If you’re looking for a traditional sauna experience, be sure to check out our selection of electric and wood-burning models.
Infrared Sauna
An infrared sauna uses infrared light to heat the body directly rather than heating the air around you. Infrared saunas are growing in popularity because they offer a number of health benefits, such as weight loss, improved circulation, and pain relief.
One of the biggest benefits of using an infrared sauna is that it can help you burn calories. In fact, some studies have shown that using an infrared sauna for just 30 minutes can burn up to 600 calories.
If you’re looking for a sauna to help you lose weight, then an infrared sauna is worth considering. Take a look at our selection of portable and full-sized infrared saunas today.
Steam Room
A steam room is similar to a traditional sauna but uses moisture to create steam rather than dry heat. As the steam builds up in the room, it helps to open up your pores and leave your skin feeling soft and hydrated.
Steam rooms are also great for relieving congestion and easing tight muscles. The intense heat leads to deep relaxation, which can help you feel rejuvenated after each session.
If you’re looking for a more relaxing type of sauna experience, a steam room might be right. Check out our selection of personal and commercial-grade steam rooms today!
What to Look for When Choosing a Sauna?
When choosing a sauna, there are a few things you should keep in mind.
First, consider the size of the sauna. If you plan on using it regularly, you'll want one that is large enough to accommodate your needs. Second, think about the features you want. Do you need a sauna that comes with a heater, or do you want one that is electric? Third, consider the price of the sauna. Fourth, choose a sauna that is easy to assemble and use.
Conclusion
Exploring different types of saunas can be a fun and relaxing way to get some much-needed relaxation. Whether you are looking for the traditional wet steam sauna, an infrared dry heat sauna or something in between, there is sure to be one that fits your particular needs. It’s important to set realistic expectations about what kind of results a sauna session may bring, and it’s equally important to enjoy yourself during the experience too!
Take time out to research different types of saunas and decide which type is best suited for you before taking the plunge into this luxurious domain.

Eat Stop Eat Book Reviews - Does Meridian Weight Loss Program Work? Must Read!
Tumblr media
👉What is Eat Stop Eat?
Have you ever stared in🌐eat stop eat the mirror for extensive lengths of time after your shower and then turned away frowning? Have you ever felt that that gut of yours is insurmountable? Well you are not alone. This article will help you turn that frown upside down and trim down that waist line.
Weight loss is impossible without water. Many times your body can trigger a hunger response to thirst. If you drink a big glass of water before you eat you will know if you are really hungry or if you are just dehydrated. Keep a drink for yourself on hand at all times.
For a tasty meal that can help with weight loss, try replacing beef with mushrooms. Mushrooms can satisfy your hunger just as well as beef. Since mushrooms are much lower in calories than beef, you can use less beef and more mushrooms in an entree to make a low-calorie meal without sacrificing the quality of the entree.
👉How Does It Work?
Emotional 🌐eat stop eat reviews stability is important for weight loss. When you are not in control of your emotions you will be more likely to overeat. Many people seek comfort through food. When you feel this way, envision your weight loss goals. Do not get discouraged by veering from your goals. Forgive yourself and get back on track.
If you find yourself going to the fridge when you are bored and indulging in sweet treats, write a note on the fridge that has suggestions for activities you can do like taking a walk, drawing or writing a poem. Cutting down on snacking when you are not hungry takes out hundreds of calories.
A good way to help you lose weight is to share your progress and results with your friends and family. Having that external motivation will push you to strive even harder to continue with your fitness goals. It's also nice to be able to inspire someone else to lose weight.
Tumblr media
👉What do you get when you buy?
One easy way to consume less 🌐eat stop eat diet plan book calories and lose more weight, is to make it a point to leave a portion of your food, uneaten, at each meal. It doesn't matter what it is or how much you leave there. The point is, to allow you to realize that you still feel full, even with a little less to eat.
When embarking on any weight loss program, try to keep your goals realistic. The safest, most sensible weight loss occurs gradually, by burning at least 500 calories more than you eat each day. By accepting the fact that the changes you desire will take time, you will be less vulnerable to the type of frustration that may cause you to abandon your program altogether.
A surprising part of a weight-loss plan is sleep. If you are trying to lose pounds, be sure you are getting enough sleep (ideally, 8 hours a night). Studies have shown that people who chronically sleep less than they should have higher levels of hormones that increase hunger.
👉Pricing info:
For someone 🌐eat stop eat fasting schedule who is looking for an alternative way to lose weight that they have probably not used before steam can be a good choice. A stay in a sauna or steam bath can cause one to lose water weight that could accumulate. Also it will have the added benefit of cleaning out ones pores.
Hanging a mirror in your dining room or kitchen can help you lose weight. You are your own worst critic. Seeing yourself consume fatty foods or large portions of food can deter you from eating too much! If you do not want to redecorate with a large mirror, opt for hanging small mirrors on the refrigerator, cookie jars or even on tempting items in the freezer to give you enough of an incentive to make better food choices.
Make weight loss fun and not a chore. Some people avoid exercise because they think of it as punishment instead of fun. Getting up and moving more each day provides results just as well as repetitive push-ups, sit-ups and squat-thrusts. Have fun and lose weight by shadow-boxing each time your least favorite contestant on a reality show appears on your television screen. Get in the habit of dancing at certain times of the day. Put on your favorite tunes and groove those pounds and inches off of your body.
👉Eat Stop Eat Customer Reviews:
While a high level of enthusiasm is a 🌐eat stop eat pdf download good thing, don't let it get the best of you. Overexerting yourself by becoming immersed into a highly intense workout program and significantly pared-down diet can leave you exhausted, discouraged, and prone to injuries caused by lack of preparation or failure to gradually ease into progressively more intense workouts.
Even though you are already eating well, do not forget that it is still important for you to get the proper exercise. That will make you burn off more calories, which would contribute to you losing much more weight in a much shorter time period than you expected.
Don't splurge on low-fat foods. Just because foods are low in fat, it does not mean that you can overeat. When you eat anything, you release the hormone insulin, which can slow down fat burning. Overeating causes an excess amount of the insulin to be pumped into your bloodstream even if you are eating low-fat foods.

Chronic Inflammation Control
This is a blog about 10 realistic ways we can all control inflammation within our bodies, these are researched backed and with consistent changes, you will see great results. Everyone will suffer from inflammation in their lifetime whether acute or chronic so these tips can help everyone.
Lose Weight. Regardless of how you do it losing weight reduces total body inflammation levels. Losing weight does 2 things; firstly it reduces the mechanical stress on your joints (mainly knees) and it also causes a metabolic adaption that lowers inflammatory markers this metabolic change happens whilst calories are restricted. Lut of all 10 tips this is the most effective way of reducing inflammation for example losing 10 pounds of weight reduces the stress on your joints as the equivalent of 40 pounds.
Avoid long-term use of NSAIDs. Long-term use of NSAIDs such as Naproxin and Ibuprofen has been proven to actually reduce our natural ability to regulate our levels of inflammation due to the artificial levels being supplied to the body. NSAIDs aren't all bad- short-term use of anti-inflammatory drugs during acute episodes of inflammation and pain helps. Use them for 3-7 days if necessary then stop. Some inflammation isn't bad, we need inflammation to heal injuries and microtrauma to connective tissue.
Sleep more. one night of sleep loss raises your inflammatory cytokine levels, and your body responds to a lack of sleep the same way it responds to trauma. If you regularly lack sleep your levels of inflammation rise. For those of you that struggle to sleep Matthew Walker, Ph.D., a sleep researcher and author suggests giving yourself a non-negotiable sleep opportunity of 8 hours per night. Some nights you won't sleep the full 8 hours, and you may struggle to get to sleep or wake up in the night but over time you are training your body to sleep better and for longer.
Bathe in a sauna. So research is quite limited around the benefits of sauna usage but some small studies have shown an increase in sauna usage reduces the population of C-reactive proteins in your body which are commonly high when there is systemic inflammation. The research isn't strong enough for me to suggest now paying for use of a sauna but if it's part of your gym membership already it's worth a go.
Yoga. A study showed practicing yoga regularly lowered inflammation and cortisol (a stress hormone). Yoga also gets you stretching structures that may be causing your pain as well as helping to improve your body awareness.
Ice/ Cold Therapy. Cold therapy also named cryotherapy will help to relieve pain and inflammation in flared-up joints (you'll see swelling, redness and or heat). Cold therapy is more effective in acute areas of pain and swelling rather than systemic global inflammation. 10 minutes of applying ice to acute areas of pain can help reduce your pain and swelling, be careful of consistent long-term use of ice for controlling inflammation.
Reduce carbohydrate intake. Compared to low-fat diets, low-carb diets provide better pain relief and anti-inflammatory effects. A study found that a low-carb diet was more effective at reducing the pain in knee osteoarthritis and scientists now believe it helps to reduce insulin-mediated inflammation.
Get moving. A study in 2017 showed that just 20 minutes of exercise a day reduced inflammatory cells by 5%. The study showed the exercise doesn't have to be intense either, fast walking seems to be enough. Regular exercise is necessary to bring high inflammation levels down, even when you're inflamed and don't feel like moving. The trick is to find ways to exercise without aggravating the affected joints.
Low Inflammatory Diet. Some foods cause a dramatic spike in blood sugar levels which then cause a spike in inflammation. Some foods have the opposite effect and reduce inflammation such as oily fish- high in omega 3. Reduce refined carbs like cookies, cakes pasta. Reduce processed oil intake such as canola oil and margarine. Eat more healthy fats- focus on omega 3. Eat more fruit and veg (antioxidant-rich foods).
Anti-Inflammatory supplements. There are a handful of natural supplements with proven anti-inflammatory benefits. I will list them below. 1: Fish oil. A number of studies have found omega-3 fatty acids found in fish oils have reduced oxidative stress. The recommended intake is 1 gram daily for general health and up to 6 grams during periods of peak inflammation. Turmeric, Curcumin is the main active component in turmeric. It has outperformed ibuprofen in head-to-head studies for joint pain. It has also been proven to have numerous benefits including reducing oxidative stress and helping to regenerate damaged nerves after injury. They recommend 200mg a day accompanied by black pepper extract which has been shown to increase the absorption of Tumeric by 20 times.

Hello Lovelies! 🪷
So I’m on my period 🗿. I’m too tired to get to the gym right now but I hope to soon! I had a bit of a rough day yesterday mentally, and I’m feeling like I shouldn’t try to focus on losing weight as much as I have. I don’t really share the depths of my mind on here, but I am easily an obsessive and hyper-focused person who will run themselves into the ground. I’m still going to take digitals, and try to focus on hobbies more, as well as stay true to myself.
I’m going to appreciate my body, and get fitter :) I’ll keep updating as school starts up again. Gotta clean the kitchen, and I want to go into the sauna 🧖🏾‍♀️ at the gym or take a bath…period tlc. I think I’ll do a 30 min walk if I go to the gym, I really want to do bag work but I’m not sure if I’m up for it :(
I still have the thoughts of wanting to be slim, skinny, and thin, and all of the other adjectives. I can’t say it isn’t because I want to fit in into the field I want to become a part of, and that I have illusions about what is and isn’t possible for me if I don’t change myself. I may always still have hopes that I’ll get skinnier and look like Kate Moss or Emrata but just a little bit curvier, and I certainly do now, but I can’t keep functioning hating and resenting my body for being what it was meant to be and doing what it was meant to do. I still want to change the way I look, but I don’t want to let it own me. Queen Bella Hadid is still kind of triggering me into wanting that stick thin physique, but I have to accept myself and my body or pay the price mentally and emotionally. I may still work on weight loss if it’s not a triggering goal, but I have body issues that I need to work on while enjoying exercise like I always have.
I want my fitness and wellness to bring me joy, not what I’ve been feeling for the past couple of weeks. It’s always more important to be happy than to fit into someone else’s vision.
Anywho, I’m going to put the dishes away and hopefully head to the gym and get my blood pumping 😁.
I still need to eat breakfast, all I’ve had is hot cheetos from last night and ice cream. I will say that one positive of my experience so far is that I’m able to moderate my snack and candy fiend habits, because I easily will stock up and live off of that crap! I think I’ll have a smoothie, an egg or two, and some yogurt or oatmeal 😌.
ORRRRR I might end up staying in bed. Period times deserves a pass 🥹.
Have a lovely afternoon, and know that you are deserving of kindness from yourself and others. 💋🤍
