This man runs a whole conglomerate, dozen different charity foundations, has to play into whatever current political ploy is to earn information, (might have, like, 20 children), is a founding member of the JL, on top of being The Batman and trying to prevent Gotham from imploding – trying to make this unfixable city heal.
He nearly doesn't have enough time for himself – heavens know how many times Alfred shoot him with a horse tranquilizer – and time to you??
All his responsibilities are half the reason why quality time is his love language.
The other half is that he didn't have enough time with his parents. They were snatched from him, a child, and this time (his childhood) is something he'll never be able to have back
Not gonna lie, he's harsh. He won't prioritize you. Not on purpose, not because he doesn't love you, simply because there's people out there that need to be saved. And, after so much time without a proper relationship, maybe Bruce also doesn't know how to cater for you – and because he's way too awkward, too dense to a detective, even if he can play cool at times.
But the tiny things are like love letters:
Strikes to me as the guy that'll be in utterly destroyed, broken ribs and concussion, and still try and get up and have breakfast with you, just to be with you
His personal quiet time is important to him. It helps him organize his thoughts. Yet he'll try to be, at least, in the same room as you.
Bruce will sit on the same room as you, in complete silence, and stay. Maybe you're working and he is there on the couch of your office, sitting with a concussion and sixty percent painkiller, statue-quiet.
I love you, so I'll take the burden of not doing this super important other thing – like resting – to sit with you in silence.
Will stare at you, motionless.
Eventually, you'll learn that this face he's making is lovestruck-ness. Don't comment on it.
And if his love language is all about undivided attention, it means he'll learn how to organize his time to have together time without all the distractions. A walk around the Manor Garden, a quiet dinner in front of the tv, cuddling; might do the trick.
Stays awake to talk with you, even if it's after a case frenzy where he didn't sleep for a week. Crash with him in the couch after a long day.
If I could stay with you here forever, I would. He can't get this words out, a lump on his throat, so he just stay as long as he can
Can't tell me he won't marathon Grey Ghost with you. At the end of every episode will dump on you all the details about the production. It's important that you listen even if you don't find it all interesting. Connection bids, y'know?
Ask him about forensics if you want to know more about the whole Batman deal. Or explain the new additions to the batmobile.
Getting to explain something he loves to someone he loves counts as top-quality time in Bruce's books.
Sometimes will find you just to start explaining a current case he can't crack. Either to see if you have any intelligent idea, but mostly because saying it aloud helps thinking.
And he doesn't know how to have the steady heartfelt conversations, so he'll listen to you talk. About your day, your plans, how much you worry about him, about what you ate today.
A great listener. Will hit you with follow up questions so you can keep talking about what you love. Never talks about him but at this point you know the drill – you have to ask for him to talk.
Regular week preplanned dates. Will do all in his powers to not postpone it. Will be completely heartbroken when this inevitably happens. Will look like a kicked puppy.
He's not distracted with you, all his mental attention on you and you only.

When birds learn to fly, they instinctively spread their wings every time they fall. It started from a short fall, like the nest to the branch it settles. And then to a slightly lower branch. It helps smooth the fall and stop them from immediately die from face planting to the ground so hard. And then they will try to flap their wings, further slowing down their fall. And then, as the wings gain more strength, they will stop falling and start flying. Wings finally strong enough to push the air around and lift them up
Phil is a grown bird, he had flown before. He already knows how it feels when his wings successfully catch the winds and allows him to glide down to the ground. He knows how it feels when his muscles are strong enough to do a big swoop, strong enough to flap and lift his body up in the air.
I wonder what crossed Phil's mind when he fell down that wall. I wonder if he tried to flap the wings, but then he felt how his wings still weren't able to catch any wind, the air slipping through the broken feathers. That the muscles aren't as strong as before, they haven't gained the full strength after weeks of disuse. That even spreading the wings mid-fall took extra effort, and that it didn't even slow his descent
I wonder what he was thinking right before he fell into the lake. What he felt right before losing consciousness

I think i finally figured out why disco/SNW Spock interpretation irks me. I couldnt figure it out because Peck is a good actor and his character hasnt diverged so much that it should anger my TOS loyalty. Plus im usually pretty open minded about creatives doing their thing.
TOS gave the impression that spock only ever let his guard down with Kirk. He was his best friend minimum. He was the most human, the most emotional because of Kirk. And SNW is nearly retconning their relationship. So you see, its my loyalty to spirk thats getting in the way. I want to preserve his special relationship with jim so im struggling to allow spock to show his humanity with anyone but him.

Idk how else to say this but qCellbit and qBagi both would’ve gone to Gay High School if they were able to. But because Cellbit was being dumb and experiencing The Horrors, only Bagi got to go to Gay High School. This explains why it took Cellbit several hours to act gay (see: qPac and qFelps), but it only took Bagi approximately an hour and a half to act gay (see: Melissa.) She simply had more gay education than Cellbit did, though they’re both kinda prodigies in the field of being gay

Saw a picture of someone I follow on Twitter hugely, heavily pregnant, strapped into the car to give birth, and got really scared, then remembered I don't have a uterus and can't get pregnant and relaxed like muscle by muscle unclenching the way your body does at the end of a guided meditation lmfao. Fun fact my nightmares cut back by like 80% since I got a hysterectomy because they have been pregnancy body horror dreams my whole life, even in preschool

Death Note au where Light is stuck in a time loop and no matter what he does L always dies, he freaks out, and the loop begins again. L's fate is so tangled and twisted around Lights plans from the very start, or perhaps it was simply always written to be this way, but no matter how far back he unravels it all he can't stop L's passing. Light tries again and again and again, relentlessly, to change their futures but it feels eternal. Endless. At a certain point Light realizes he can sacrifice himself to ensure L's survival. But no matter what, it all restarts. After a decent number of resets, L catches on to the time loop and with each reset his memories grow stronger, until he's fully aware of his entanglement with Light. They spend eternity searching for a branch in time that's strong enough to hold them both. They learn to weather the storm and to cherish their time together, seeing it as a blessing despite.
