#Koro-chan I love you so much!
Text
It's sad fact that I always seem to forget that Koromaru first awakened to a persona because he saw Junpei sulking. This dog saw a that sad, pathetic, wet cat of a man with no where to go and in his little doggy brain thought, "I'd die for this man."

I was tagged by @sebfreak to do this. I DIS-THANK YOU FOR THE TAG, COMING UP WITH JUST 9 WAS TORTURE ;-; tho uhm my non tsundere self thanks you i suppose
and i went with anime characters, didn't want to include games, kdramas, tv-shows whatever :p it would take me ages :p
Put your 9 fave characters in no particular order!
1. Takasugi Shinsuke
Tumblr media
no surprises here, none at all :p i've liked anime characters before, but shinsuke smh vacuumed my soul and hasn't returned it since. not only do i love him beyond what words can describe, but he's also one of the four characters i relate the most. (my four devas arc lmao)
he can keep it.
2. Senjougahara Hitagi
Tumblr media
i just love her so much, she might as well be my number 1 female character. for the longest time i considered her my anime alter ego, so aye second member of my devas
3. Sakata Gintoki
Tumblr media
gintoki might as well be the best anime protagonist ever created. he is not only extremely relatable, but his story gets rooted in you. when gin-chan cries, we cry. when gin-chan laughs, we laugh. he is our gin--chan.
third member of my devas
4. Shinomiya Kaguya
Tumblr media
how cute? yes she is extremely cute and i adore her! i'd probably die for her or defend her to the death. yes, i have a huge thing for tsundere, sue me.
fourth member of my devas.
5. Zura janai Katsura da
Tumblr media
wdym that's not his name?!?!?! all jokes aside, katsura is my reason for starting gintama. i love everything about him and just like kaguya, i'm ready to defend him to the death! innocent cinnamon roll worthy of protection!
6. Makima
Tumblr media
makima is easily one of the most well written characters i've seen. i love to hate her, i hate to love her, it's a weird relationship but she definitely deserves a spot in my top 10.
7. Lelouch vi Britannia
Tumblr media
it's been 7 years and i still can't forget the second season's finale. lelouch was simply brilliant and perhaps was one of the very first anime characters i truly enjoyed!
8. Kocho Shinobu
Tumblr media
honestly i was torn between shinobu and misato from nge for this spot. i love them both but i have a soft spot for girls who seek revenge and have butterflies in their designs, so shinobu got it! i love her personality so much, i wish the manga expanded even more on her
9. Hikigaya Hachiman
Tumblr media
this boy is beyond a mood. just look at his face, so devoid of life. the reason why i love hachiman as a character is bcs he isn't shallow and he really seeks something profound that's hard to find. even if he knows it's hard to find, he keeps searching for meaning and in the end, his character development and change of views pays off so much! i was between him and gaara for this position, but i let him have it.
FINAL WORDS
my top 9 is sort of in order though i wasn't asked to do that. shinsuke is definitely my number 1 and then my number 2 realistically is a tie between hitagi and gintoki. there are sooo many characters i wanted to include, such as lucy (elfen lied), gaara (naruto), misato and shinji (nge), koro-sensei (assassination classroom) and like at least a few more gintama character, but i tried to keep it diverse. yes, i tend to like characters with whom i can relate, and that's why this list is plagued by tsundere lmao
I tag @unstable-viper @faidrafuchsia and @toi-yama to do this if they want to, and whoever else wants to participate is welcome!

Ken was tired.
He had been tired for a few days now, unable to sleep due to a series of night terrors. Before he joined S.E.E.S, they were usually just about his mom.
But now, they were about everyone. About all the terrible ways they could die. Makoto-senpai was there a lot. He saw their leader laying there in Tartarus, unresponsive and unmoving. Ken dreamt of hugging him, of feeling cold instead of warm and seeing no comforting smile and hearing no heartbeat and knowing it was his fault, he had healing skills why didn’t he heal him-
He sat up, kicking wildly at his bedsheets, skin covered in a cold sweat. This was the third night he had dreamt of that day. He knew he wouldn’t be able to get back to sleep, so he wandered downstairs to the lounge.
There, on the carpet, was stretched Koromaru. The dog seemed sound asleep, scarlet eyes closed and snores sounding from deep in his throat.
How Ken longed to live a life as simple as Koro-chan’s.
Ken laid down on the couch, stretching his hand out to pet Koromaru. The dog lifted his head, awakened from slumber. Koromaru then promptly licked Ken’s hand, eliciting a quiet giggle. He always liked being around animals. It was calming, in a way. Comforting.
Before long, Ken was drifting off again, this time dreaming of summer days and that time Shinjiro went with him to the Film Festival.
“That was so cool! I loved the way it was revealed that there was another mastermind behind everything, and the final battle when the hero’s teammates kept taking the finishing hit for him!? So freaking awesome!”
He realised how childish and immature he sounded, and cleared his throat. “I mean... It’s all fake, so... Thank you for coming with me, Shinjiro-senpai.”
Shinjiro-senpai raised an eyebrow before speaking.
“...My favourite scene was when the detective was telling the heroes about how he got away with everything by blaming the kidnappings on the delivery man. The actor really sold the part, didn’t he?”
Ken looked at him for a moment before nodding. “Yeah, that scene was awesome, too. But I think my favourite-ever part was when the hero awakened to his truest self and used his new power to beat the villain once and for all! Bam!”
Ken punched his palm, and looked up at Shinjiro-senpai, who was... smiling. He was smiling and nodding.
“Bam,” he agreed, and Ken couldn’t help the glowing warmth that shone in his chest.
When Ken woke up that morning, sprawled on the couch with Koromaru curled up beside him, he realised that Shinjiro-senpai’s coat had been laid over him like a blanket.
I LOVE KEN AND SHIJI'S RELATIONSHIP HES KEN'S DEPRESSED ADOPTED FATHER WHO REALLY CARES ABOUT HIM
ken would absolutely be scared of the people he cares about dying. after his mom death is all he can think about. also wanting to act mature but still having a childish side is so real. hurts so much especially when everyone expects you to be mature/you think they do. just. if you want to be childess regardless of your age because you got your childhood taken away from you or you just want more childhood? just fucking act childish. ken deserves to act like a child too.

Have you ever felt haunted by a fanart you saw but not in bad way but in the Good Way™? I mean you saw the fanart once and every now and then you remind yourself of it's existence and get a thousand of headcanons and AU ideas just by a memory of seeing it?
I just reminded myself of a fanart of SMT x Persona swap AU I reblogged once (idk if I'll be able to find it in this tumblr void with broken search bar but basically smt protags in persona outfits and vice versa) and now I got a thousands of ideas for a similar AU lol
Basically an AU where SMT III- V protags aren't actually a replacement of Persona protagonists like on that swap AU fanart I saw, but actually an addition to the team (while og persona protags are still there too)
Like gosh I have so many headcanons suddenly so here's a little headcanon dump :P (a.k.a the horrors of being both persona and smt fan :D)
Naoki Kashima
Member of SEES
Persona hc: My brain says Lucifer (or at least Satan if Lucifer is too OP for someone who wouldn't replace a protag) but my heart says Pixie cause they are still unseparable even in another game :P (jokes on y'all, he's actually a second Wild Card and has them both :P)
Best friend in the team hc: I feel like he would get along with Akihiko the most, but also he'd has this weird connection to Minato, like sort of "I get you man" connection lol. Also Koro-chan, everybody loves Koro-chan
School & year & club hc: Gekkoukan High (not much of a choice in P3 anyways), Track team, Second Year
Bonus headcanon: I think he was scouted by S.E.E.S because horrors in the hospital didn't left him even in this reality :P He was admitted to the hospital because of some health reasons (around the same time when Minato was in hospital) and became concoious during Dark Hour so that led S.E.E.S to find and scout him. Also I believe his "official" reason to move into Iwatodai Dorm would be stated as "family reasons"
Flynn (This is gonna be so wrong™ probably, because I never played SMT IV yet and I know nothing about him yet and all my hc's of him I based on the general Vibes™ he gives me, so I'm so sorry about that! i promise I'll play this game finally and then maybe update haha)
Member of Investigation Team
Persona hc: Actually like I said, never played his game yet so I'm not sure if he has some demon/deity actually especially associated to him, if you have idea let me know in the tags/comments
Best friend in the team hc: He gives me similar vibes to Yu tbh, I feel like he would be besties with Chad Narukami haha (Yosuke would see him as his rival trying to steal his Partner lol)
School & year & club hc: Yasogami High (again, not really a choice in P4), he gives me athletic guy vibe so maybe Volleyball Club would be right for him, Third Year
Bonus hc: (probably Very Wrong tho so sorry about that :/ ) I feel like his dungeon in TV World would be related to Samurais (or old Japan in general) in some way, perhaps a Shrine or something (?), since Yukiko already had medieval castle
V-kun:
Member of the Phantom Thieves
Persona hc: Susano-o
Codename hc: Deity (ok maybe this is very edgy but come on, we had codenames like Queen and Oracle too so why not :p and it's related to his SMT V story) - the explanation for this would be because he has almost godly-like looks haha (Ann would probably try to get him into modelling with her actually because of how good looking he is)
Best friend in the team hc: Yusuke for 100%, because I hc V-kun as either as an artist too or musician (pianist) but someone who is close with arts anyways so Yusuke would understand him like no one else. Also Haru because I feel like he'd relate with her experiences as well
School & year & club hc: Since Persona 5 is happening in Tokyo and we have some Phantom Thieves outside of Shujin anyways, I feel like he'd still stay in Jouin High. His club would be either Art Club or Music Club (or perhaps he would be a member of two clubs, therefore quite busy), Third year
Bonus hc: The thing his soul is rebelling from is actually abusive parents who would punish him severely for being into arts and wanting to become artist/musician in the future, instead doing some "good paid job" like lawyer or doctor (that's why I said he would relate to Haru actually since her backstory is quite similar with her dad also already have plans for her future that were different than how she felt)
So yeah that's my headcanon for this AU, just had to dump it here because it's 2 AM and I have megaten thoughts™

Welcome!
Tumblr media
Hey people! I am Defne! Or Daphne if you are one of my teachers. Or Dafne if you are one of my Spanish teachers. But you probably know me by my internet name, De-Chan!
~~~Personal Info (that I am willing to share)~~~
-I am a Turk who currently lives in Florida, USA. English is not my native tongue, but I can now decently understand and write with it. But if you see any weirdly structured sentences in my translations, that’s the reason:D
-I will ✨officially✨ become an adult soon. But mentally it just might take a bit longer (´-﹏-`;).
-I use (she/her) pronouns but I wouldn’t mind if you use different pronouns for me. Turkish doesn’t have gendered pronouns so they all translate to same thing for me ヽ(´ー`)ノ
-I am learning Spanish in right now! And “studying” Japanese at my free time. I really like learning languages and I really wish one day I can at least somewhat be familiar with a certain language from various language families :D
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~Fandom Stuff ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
I am into many, many fandoms, but the ones I am mainly on are Transformers, Ace Attorney, Umineko No Naku Koro Ni, Mega Man, Professor Layton, and Hetalia (duh!) Bellow you can see what continuities/games I am most familiar with etc. :)
~Transformers~
TL;DR: Mostly I am familiar with 2000s to early 2010s TF cartoons, I am trying to finish UT/MT from front to back right now. Never really got into movies nor comics sadly…
———————————————————————
-G1 (Sort of)
-Beast Wars/Beast Machines
-Unicron/Micron trilogy (I am more familiar with Japanese continuity than English one because I prefer sub over dub any time (Non-native English speakers would understand me lol) and watched/ watching these shows instead. Right now, I am going to start watching Galaxy Force (which technically wasn’t supposed to be in Micron trilogy, but kinda is now because that’s not confusing at all.))
-Animated
-Prime
———————————————————————
-My favorite character from the whole TF franchise is Jetfire from Transformers Micron Densetsu/ Armada. I swear I can write a whole school essay about how much of a great character he is and why I love him so, so much. You are allowed to bombard me with anything Jetfire related(≧▽≦)
-Other characters I am really found of are Ratchet (I feel like he is the only TF character who has no bad incarnation of ), Wheeljack, and Jazz!
-My favorite Autobot design is Super Convoy from Galaxy Force. My favorite Deception design is Micron Densetsu Megatron.
———————————————————————
My first experience with TF was Animated while the first series I’ve watched actively was Prime, so these two have special places in my heart. (。>﹏<。)
———————————————————————
~Ace Attorney~
- I am most familiar with original Ace Attorney trilogy. I am playing Trials and Tribulations right now so please no spoilers! But I would gladly take any (sfw) Diego x Mia requests :)
———————————————————————
-My favorite character is Maya! No competition. She is just… reminds me so much of myself. I guess that’s why I love her so so much(//∇//)
———————————————————————
-My favorite game, for now, is original Ace Attorney. Like I said, though, I am still not done with Trials and Tribulations!
-My favorite case is Turnabout Goodbyes
———————————————————————
~Mega Man~
-I am well familiar with most, if not all, of the Mega Man games except Legends and Starforce! I’ve played most of the games so if you have anything about those, send them to me!
———————————————————————
-My favorite game is Mega Man X4, then Maverick Hunter X
-My favorite character is Zero.
-My favorite Maverick is Storm Eagle.
———————————————————————
-This Franchise especially has a special place in me so I can gush about it for hours lol
-Also the main oc I use, the one you see on the pic, is a Mega Man oc :D
———————————————————————
~Umineko No Naku Koro Ni~
-I am yet to read the vn from start to finish but watch many vn videos from youtube so overall, I know the main events well. But I really appreciate if you correct me if I get something wrong :)
———————————————————————
-My favorite character is Jessica
- My favorite question arc episode is Turn of the Golden Witch, while favorite answer arc is Dawn of the Golden Witch.
———————————————————————
~Hetalia~
(Probably where you guys are mostly know me from :D)
———————————————————————
-My favorite character is Germany~
-My favorite seasons are World Series and Beautiful World.
———————————————————————
-Hetalia is literally the reason why I started to learn Japanese so thank you for that Hetalia! :D
———————————————————————
Sooo yeah, these are basically my interests. If you have anything you want me to translate from these fandoms that are sfw (as I said, I am still technically a minor sooo), dm me so we can talk :) Also, as a fun fact, I like to draw and share my drawings on my instagram ( ・ิϖ・ิ)
Thank you for reading until here! I really appreciate it and I hope you enjoy my spam. ヽ(´ー`)ノ

100+ Films of 1952
Film number 139: The Flavor of Green Tea Over Rice (Ochazuke no Aji)
Release date: October 1st, 1952
Studio: Shochiku
Genre: drama/foreign
Director: Yasujiro Ozu
Actors: Shin Saburi, Michiyo Kogure, Koji Tsuruta, Chikage Awashima
Plot Summary: Taeko and Mokichi Satake, a middle-aged upper-class couple, seem trapped in a loveless marriage. When Taeko’s niece is offered a prospective husband through an arranged marriage, she desperately tries to stop it, fearing she’ll become like her unhappy aunt.
My Rating (out of five stars): ****½
Right off the bat I'll confess that Ozu is my favorite Japanese filmmaker, and easily one of my favorite directors full-stop. I relish character driven films that take the time to portray small details of people's lives, letting the audience understand them through their smallest gestures and reactions. This movie is classic Ozu up and down- a light drama depicting the lives of middle/upper class people, highlighting relationships with long scenes of their interactions. It’s not a masterpiece like Late Spring or Tokyo Story, but it is still a highly interesting film worth your time. (minor spoilers)
The Good:
All of the actors were really strong, with Shin Saburi and Michiyo Kogure especially standing out as the discontented main couple. I adored Koji Tsuruta as the puppy-like Non-chan, as well.
I love Ozu’s camerawork and style. Here we see a lot of his trademarks- low camera angles, slow backward zoom-out movements, the way he has his actors look almost directly into the camera when they speak, and his disregard for the conventional 180-degree rule in editing between multiple characters.
There were really strong character studies in this, especially with Taeko, Mokichi, and Setsuko.
The way the dialogue conveys so much with superficial statements and/or long pauses. Somehow Ozu is a genius at filling this kind of communication with meaning!
I flipped out with joy when a scene had a Takarazuka reference! Four women were relaxing at an onsen, and one of them started singing “Sumire no Hana Saku Koro,” a standard Takarazuka song. They didn’t mention the word, but another women chimed in to talk about how they would skip school to see performances!
One of my favorite scenes was when Mokichi tries to explain to his highly cultured wife Taeko why he likes “simple, primitive, and modest” things- using the cheap cigarettes and third-class train tickets that he loves as examples. Shin Sabure’s performance here was really moving.
The scene near the end when the couple make the titular ochazuke was probably the highlight. It’s a beautiful example of how Ozu can take small mundane things and keep you totally transfixed as you watch. (And ochazuke is a perfect example of how something “simple, primitive, and modest” can be absolutely heavenly, btw! It's one of my favorite comfort foods.)
There were lots of great details of everyday Japanese culture in the 1950s- there were long scenes in a pachinko parlor, a kabuki theater, at a baseball game, and at a keirin race.
The Bad:
The endng maybe wrapped-up things a little too nicely? It got more overtly sentimental than other Ozu films I’ve seen.
Sometimes the pace was possibly a wee bit too slow, even accounting for Ozu’s more relaxed tempo in general. I was never bored, though.

Ken decided he did not like Tartarus very much.
It was dark, creepy, and riddled with blobby Shadows that gurgled and groaned like the zombies in Junpei's horror movies.
And they were tough, too. Horrible creatures that took the forms of things Ken vaguely recognised, setting off alarm bells whenever he fought them.
Yet their leader insisted on bringing them there whenever he could, promising to do his best to keep them out of fights they couldn’t handle.
They were on the 97th floor when it happened. Koro-chan and Shinji-senpai were fighting a Shadow, when Makoto-senpai put a hand on his shoulder.
“Ken, come with me,” he said. “We’ll explore further while those two finish the Shadow off.”
Ken trusted Makoto-senpai. Ken looked up to him, saw him like some sort of older brother. Surely, Makoto-senpai would keep him safe, keep him out of danger.
“Stay close to me, Ken. Got it?”
Ken nodded as the two of them trekked through the darkness of Tartarus. Ken was, if he was honest with himself, scared of straying too far anyways. He didn’t want to be caught unawares by a lurking Shadow.
Makoto-senpai stabbed at the dark, and Ken felt a jolt of terror as three Shadows loomed at them. Two Justice Swords and one Indolent Maya.
The two of them fought, Makoto-senpai changing Personas every few turns to try and target weaknesses. He was so cool, Ken thought. His ability to change his Persona on a whim...
But his admiration was cut short by a Mighty Swing. His knees buckled, and the Justice Sword changed its target to Makoto-senpai.
In a moment of desperation, Ken flung himself in the way, shoving Makoto-senpai out of the way. Tragically, though, he was now even weaker than before.
“Senpai-!” He tried to warn his leader, but before he could get his sentence out, the worst happened.
With a terrible scream, Makoto-senpai went down and didn’t get back up again.
He looked so cold and lifeless there, laying on the ground. Yet somehow, he looked peaceful too. Almost like he was having a nap.
“SENPAI!” Ken screamed, leaning against his spear for support. No, no, no, no, no, no- This wasn’t real. Makoto-senpai wasn’t dead. He couldn’t be-
Makoto-senpai stirred on the ground, weakly rising to his feet, trembling.
He was alive, he was alive, he was alive-
“NEMESIS!” Ken shouted, finishing off the last Justice Sword that remained.
Makoto-senpai sank to the ground, leaning against a wall for support, his eyes closed. “Did I scare you...? I’m sorry. I’m okay, I promise.”
Ken knelt beside him, holding his spear. “...I wasn’t scared,” he fibbed.
Makoto-senpai opened his eyes, giving him an odd look before opening his arms for... a hug. Makoto-senpai was offering him a hug.
Ken all but flung himself into his senpai’s arms, taking comfort in the warmth of his arms and the rise and fall of his chest.
“...Hey, look at me,” Makoto-senpai said, and Ken moved back slightly to look at him.
“I promised I’d do whatever I could to keep you all safe. And I’m going to make good on that promise. Alright?”
Ken nodded, and he could have sworn he saw Makoto-senpai smile.
Maybe it was just the darkness of Tartarus, though, because Makoto-senpai vehemently denied it for months after. Oh, well.
Ken knew what he saw.
MAAAAAAAAAAAAV!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! MAVVIE!!!!!!!!! MAVSTER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! AUUUUAAAUAUAUAUAGH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

@letsriddlemethislucifer said: Ken and Koromaru are dragging those who aren't busy on a late night walk. The cool breeze felt rather refreshing. Koro-chan is going to sniff from one side to the other of the sidewalk, and Ken is gonna sneeze just an itty bitty bit.
Unprompted | Always accepting
Tumblr media
For once, he was relieved they had ordered take-out to eat. As much as he loved cooking, he didn't feel up to it today. Too much on his mind, so it was nice to get some fresh air, watching the two get along. Though, he took notice of the kid sneezing and threw him a careful glance.
Tumblr media
"Amada, I hope you aren't sick, judging by that sneeze." Mitsuru was the one to speak up on his behalf. "Be sure to cover your nose in your turtleneck if you must."
Tumblr media
"Yeah, don't be like some happy-go-lucky idiot who caught a cold during the weekend." She shook her head and petted Koromaru's soft fur. She was talking about Junpei who, thankfully, got better today. "... But the breeze is nice. C'mon, let's go to the shrine or Koro-chan will start dragging us there."

In Tartarus Koromaru and his ally Azarath a blackish blue bluejay/raven hybrid with indigo blue eyes bright indigo streaks and outer wings with blackish blue lines, wearing an light orange colored armor with square styled pockets with a S.E.E.S. armband wrapped around his right wing. Azarath is throwing his darts from as Koromaru turnt forwards him as he barked.
“ Now Azarath! Summon him!” Koromaru said as Azarath blushes hard.
“ Koro-Sama he noticed me… Huginn Muninn! Let’s go!” Azarath cawed as he summoned His persona, his persona manifesting as a conjoined yellow eyed steel white colored mechanical raven with elements of a jet as his four jet wings sharp mechanical talons and propeller tail came into fruition as with multiple garudynes and Physical attacks the shadows were dispatched.
“ Azarath! You were amazing out there!” Koromaru said as Azarath cooed out of affection as he blushed.
“ Koromaru! I love you too!” Azarath stated affectionately hearts appearing in his eyes as Koromaru sighed barking to himself.
“ And this is why I regret Mitsuru telling me to take you with me as I explored Tartarus…” Koromaru mumbled to himself as Azarath chimed in.
“ Actually! I insisted so much on coming here with you to Kirijo- Chan because.. I considered this a romantic get-away.. even if we have to fight shadows tee-here ~” Azarath retorted subtly flirting with Koromaru.
“ … You’re quite the hopeless romantic aren’t you?” Koromaru said as Azarath stared right back at him.
“ Yeah! I guess I am!” Azarath eagerly replied as Koromaru chuckles.
“ And that’s what I like about you.. you keep chasing after me.. maybe I’ll chase after you back some day….” What Koromaru said sent Azarath’s avian heart a flutter, one day Azarath will get Koromaru to be his.. no matter what it takes… the Bluejay raven hybrid stands by this, as afterwards Koromaru and Azarath relax back at the gekkoughan dorm, Azarath resting on Koromaru’s back.

Koromaru and or Fuuka :P
Koromaru:
Tumblr media
Koro-chan is BABY
I love him. I love this dog so much you don't even know. He's the best boy. An icon. A blessing to this Earth.
Fuuka:
Tumblr media
Oh boy...I'm about to get a bit...controversial, perhaps.
I like Fuuka. I really do. I think she's nice.
But my god, she is not really well done in the story. She doesn't fit with the game's themes as much as the rest of the cast, I feel. Minus Koromaru. Fuuka feels a bit...undercooked? compared to everyone else, imo. Her story just didn't land as hard for me as it may have for others. Her writing feels like a rushed afterthought that was tossed in last minute because we needed a navigator in this game who's not Mitsuru. Her personality gives me the vibes of the token "UwU baby who did nothing wrong" you'd see in any generic anime, rather than an actual character with depth.
That's all me, though. I do like Fuuka. I promise. She just deserved better writing and execution.

V o i c e R e c o r d / / Nagisa Shiota
Reader: Female Genre: Fluff Character: Nagisa Shiota // Assassination Classroom Requested: No
Tumblr media
Butterflies in my stomach. Being embarrassed in small little things you say. Making my heart skip a beat.
Your thoughts have been cut when you heard a familiar voice. “ (y/n)-chan ” you hear a familiar voice called you. You didn’t turn around for a second.
“ (y/n)-chan ” he calls you again. You turned around in your seat and gave him a soft smile.
“ Yes? ” you answered. It was Nagisa Shiota. The boy with blue hair and azure eyes.
“ You know it's lunchtime, don't you? ” he questioned.
“ Yep. ” you answered as you stood up.
Being in E Class is fun, being friends with the other students, having great teachers, learning new stuff, and lastly falling in love.
You walked to Nagisa as you were about to say something, someone suddenly entered the door.
“ (y/n), could you come with me, let’s eat lunch outside. ” Kayano said.
“Alright” (y/n) smiled as she approached Kayano.
“ Imma talk to you later, Nagisa. ” (y/n) said as she waved to him.
" Sure. ” Nagisa answered with a soft smile that made (y/n)’s heart go doki doki.
While eating with Kayano, I still can't get Nagisa out of my mind.
Do I really like him that much?
“ (y/n) ” Kayano shouted.
“OW SHIT, YOU’RE GONNA GIVE ME SOME HEART ATTACK IF YOU’RE GONNA SHOUT LIKE THAT! ” You exclaimed to her.
“ I’ve been calling you like 10 times in a row and didn’t answer. ” Kayano answered.
“What’s on your mind? Is this perhaps a blue-headed with blu-”
“Yes.” (y/n) cut Kayano.
Kayano's jaw dropped because of the very straightforward (y/n).
“ Need help confessing? ” Kayano questioned her friend and looked into her eyes. Then (y/n) suddenly laughed.
“ I-i really can’t understand why I ended up laughing when I'm looking into your eyes. ” (y/n) said between her laughter.
“ But yes I do need help, I was planning to confess later but don't have an actual plan how to confess.” (y/n) explained as Kayano mentally facepalmed.
“ You are going to confess but don't have a plan? ” Kayano repeated.
“ Sadly, yes.” (y/n) answered.
“ We should call Rio because she’s an expert at these things. ” Kayano suggested.
“ No, I don’t think so.” (y/n) answered knowing that Rio will tease her endlessly.
“ How about you just tell him your feelings?” Kayano questioned.
“ No shit sherlock, darling.” (y/n) answered.
“ Mind explaining how you feel about him?” Kayano questioned?
“ Well, I love everything about him, starting with his smile, his voice, his looks, how he thinks, how he fights, as much as I know I love everything about him, every inch of him.” (y/n) answered, Kayano listened and smiled at her friend.
“ So can yo-” (y/n) didn’t continue what she was about to say as the school bell cut her.
“ Talk to you later. ” Kayano said and ran somewhere. (y/n) looked at Kayano’s running figure as if she was looking suspicious.

It was the time that she will meet Nagisa. She was excited and nervous at the same time because this is also the time that she will confess to him.
They were still in the school (y/n)’s waiting outside. (y/n) saw Nagisa last time when he was talking to Karma and Kayano.
“ (y/n) ” someone called you, as you turned around.
You saw Nagisa but a flustered one.
“ Umm… why is your face red? ” you questioned as you approached him.
“ Do you have a fever? ” (y/n) questioned again as she laid the back of her hand on his forehead.
Nagisa tensed on the sudden touch and became redder than usual. (y/n) removed her hand and took Nagisa’s hands and dragged Nagisa to Koro-sensei.
“ Koro-sensei. ” (y/n) called.
“ Yes? ” Koro-sensei answered.
“ Do you think Nagisa’s fine? He’s so red but he isn’t warm. ” (y/n) said worriedly.
“ Don’t worry (y/n), he’s fine. ” Koro-sensei said to (y/n) and turned to Nagisa and questioned him.
“ Is it perhaps about the voice record that Kayano and Karma made you listen to?”
Kayano? Karma? Voice record?
“ H-h-how did you k-know that? You w-weren’t there. ” Nagisa questioned confused and embarrassed.
“ What voice record? ” (y/n) questioned.
“ Nurufufufufu~ it’s about the love that you stated about Nagisa. ” Koro-sensei answered.
As you understand what he means (y/n) face suddenly became the same as Nagisa's.
“ W-what?! But I only told Kaya- ” (y/n) stopped what she was about to say as she began to process the thing that is happening right now.
“ KAYANO KAEDE SHE’S SO DEAD, SO SHE RECORDED IT. SO THAT IS HOW SHE COULD HELP ME BY CONFESSING? IM GONNA DIE. ” (y/n) said in a loud voice.
That made Nagisa jump a little because of the sudden outburst. (y/n) then face Koro-sensei
“ If you are gonna tell anyone about that voice record you will be so dead Koro-sensei. ” you said as you give him a death glare that made koro-sensei shiver.
Then (y/n) turned to Nagisa and smiled.
“ So what’s your answer?” (y/n) questioned with a soft smile, blushing a little.
Koro-sensei sweat dropped on the sudden change of mood.
“ W-well I like you too. ” Nagisa answered shyly then suddenly (y/n) brought him in a tight hug.

Pairing: Karma Akabane x Slightly oblivious! Male reader
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Narrator's P.O.V
"Alright class sit down! I have a very exciting announcement to make!" Koro-sensei said after everyone stopped firing Anti-koro bullets at him.
"We have a new classmate joining us today! Come in new kid!" Koro-sensei said excitedly while everyone else started whispering about either how they're behaviour would be, how good they were at assassinating or why they got transferred into their class.
The door slid open, making everyone go quiet, and a male with [hair coloured] hair came in the room. He was walking towards Koro-sensei and he kept his head down, seemingly trying to avoid eye contact with everyone which was true. He stopped walking when he reached Koro-sensei he lifted his head up and turned to face the class with his hand in her pocket.
"Please introduce yourself to everyone!"
He didn't say anything, instead he lifted his head up, letting everyone see his [eye colour] eyes and looked around the classroom before speaking.
"[M/n]... My names [L/n] [M/n]... It's a pleasure to meet you... I hope we get along with each other..."
"Good! I'm Koro-sensei and I'll be you're homeroom teacher! I hope you can kill me before graduation! Please take you're seat at the back!"
The male, now known as [M/n], nodded his head before walking towards the back. While making his way towards his seat, he "tripped" making Koro-sensei rush to catch him but before he hit the ground he placed the palm of his hands on the ground and swung his right leg up, where he taped a Anti-koro knife onto the bottom of his shoe before he came to school, and managed to slash two of Koro-sensei's tentacles. Koro-sensei jumped back at that while [M/n] landed in a crouching position before standing back up. He started staring at Koro-sensei who was staring right back at him. They just stared at each other while the class were looking at the new transefer student with disbelief. The class looked at them back and forth before Koro-sensei spoke up with his tentacle regrowing.
"Impressive! You might actually kill me before graduation! Such a good strategy!"
"Thank you Koro-sensei... When you have an out of control speedster as a younger brother... You need to think ahead or else alot of things in the house will be destroyed..." [M/n] said before sitting down at his desk which happend to be placed right next to a bright red tomato head, also known as Karma Akabane.
Karma was staring at him with a wide smirk on his face.
'Attractive, smart and good at assassination... Just my type!'
Ohhhh... If [M/n] knew what he just signed up for... He wouldn't have pulled that stunt in the first place.
-
[M/n]'s P.O.V
Everyone in class 3-E was nice. I just wished they get more credit from the school but then again... I don't want them to be mindless slave that only want good grades. One thing though, ever since i transferred Karma-kun has not stop bugging me. He's literally glued to my side. Wherever i go, he's always there with me. Now, i don't mind him doing that. I'm grateful because he wants to deal with my sorry arse. The only thing that bothers me is the fact that he keeps making flirty comments towards me but i didn't think to much of it and got used to it after a while.
"Hey Cutie-chan! Wait up!"
Speak of the devil and he shall appear. I just kept walking, knowing that he was fast and could catch up. Once he caught up with me, he put his arm around my shoulder.
"Looking cute as always Cutie-chan~" Karma said in a flirty tone with a grin on his face.
"Thanks Karma-kun" i said before looking at the ground, hoping that he wouldn't say anything else because me and Yuma, my speedster little brother, had an anime marathon yesterday and we stayed up until 2 in the morning.
I think he noticed how tired i was because he kept quite and started to run his fingers through my hair which was quite relaxing if i do say so myself. We continued walking to class in silence.
-Timeskip to Lunch-
I was eating lunch with my new group of friends which consists of Nagisa (who i, at first thought was a female in disguise), Karma (of course he's here) , Tomohito and Kaeda.
(Author: Did i get it right because i keep forgetting how many people are in Nagisa's friend group)
"Hey [M/n]-kun... I've been meaning to ask you something?" Nagisa said.
"Sure... What is it Nagisa-kun?"
"How come you're in class 3-E if you're smart?"
"Nagisa-kun's right! You're always not paying attention in class and you still get the awnsers right when either Koro-sensei, Karasuma-sensei or B*tch-sensei asks you to awnser a question" Tomohito said now looking at me, waiting for an answer
The other follow suite and were looking at me expectantly, Karma pretending not to care about what I was going to say. I chuckled slightly while internally cooing at them because they were acting like cute little puppies.
"I punched a few students and a teacher. The teacher was by accident though"
It took them a few minutes for them to comprehend what they had just heard before they suddenly shouted excluding Karma who was smirking at me.
"YOU DID WHAT!?!"
After they got over their shock, they started bombarding me with questions on why i did it.
"Because they were acting like b*tches by talking sh*t about you guys so i took the liberty to punch them across the face and the teacher startled me by putting their hand on my shoulder so i accidentally punched them thinking that they were trying to hurt me and the rest was history. Honestly, I'm glad i got transferred here because i don't think I'll be able to stand being there for another minute. Besides... I think i like it better here with you guys" i said with a smile on my face before i was tackled in a hug by Tomohito, Kaeda and Nagisa which suprised me alot considering he was normally very calm.
They were crying tears of joy making me panic, thinking i said something wrong. Unbeknownst to me, Karma was watching us with a fond smile on his face instead of his usual smirk.
-
I was waiting for Karma outside of our class building because he said he wanted to tell me something. After a few minutes, i saw him walking up to me making my heart beat faster and i started sweat slightly for no apparent reason. He stopped right in front of me with one of his hand behind his back. I could tell he was nervous because he was shifting on his legs.
"You said wanted to talk to me about something Karma-kun?"
"Ye-yeah... Uhm..."
I looked at him slightly bewildered because in the weeks that i have known him, he was outgoing, confident and cocky. I was about to ask if he was alright before he pulled out a [favourite flower] flower crown from behind his back and handing it to me.
"Uhm... I made you this... I overhead when you were talking with Kaeda that you always wanted a [favourite flower] flower crown but never had a chance to make it and i thought it would be nice to give you one..."
I wanted to make a snarky comment but i decided against in and put the flower crown on my head while smiling.
Tumblr media
(This is what you look like wearing it and can we just appreciate how adorable Midoriya looks with a flower crown!! Also art is not mine so credits to the original artist)
"Thanks Karma-kun... I love it..."
"I also have something else for you"
"What is i-"
I was caught off by a pair of lips connecting themselves onto mine, specifically Karma's lips. I tensed up slightly because i have no idea what to do because I've never kissed someone before! This is my first time kissing someone. I heard Karma chuckle slightly before pulling back.
"For someone attractive you clearly have no experience before... But don't worry! I will show you how relationships works if you agree to be my boyfriend" Karma said with his signature smirk back on his face.
I was in a daze slightly making me miss the fact that Karma's smirk faltered a bit.
"Is that a yes or no" ha said making me snap out of my daze.
I didn't trust my voice so i frantically nodded my head before hugging Karma and burying my face in his chest to hide my blush making him chuckle before wrapping his arms around my waist and burying his face in my hair because i was slightly shorter than him. We stayed there in silence before we were interrupted by a squeal from nearby. We looked at where the squeal came from and saw Nagisa, Tomohito, Kaeda and Koro-sensei watching us from the bushes.
"What the hell do you think you're doing!?!"
They started running for it while Karma chased them making me laugh.
'I didn't even realise it until now that I like Karma-kun. I must be more oblivious than I thought' i thought while smiling fondly at the thought that someone like Karma would ever want someone like me but I'm glad he did because he's just my type.

Higurashi Sotsu: Kamishuri-hen

Higurashi No Naku Koro Ni Sotsu: Kamishuri-hen
When The Cicadas Cry: Graduation: God-Repairing Chapter
The red gleam in Satoko’s eyes bore right through Rika as she leveled the gun at her in front of the rest of their friends while the light-hearted party quickly became a tragedy. She hesitated just a moment, as if daring to ask Rika ‘how did you know?’ repeating the question Rika had asked her about the disguised box with the bear inside, now discarded on the floor in the commotion. The truth was Rika had help, remembering Rena’s words to her from yesterday.
-------------------------------------------------------
“A birthday party for Satoko-chan? That’s a great idea Rika-chan, it is, it is!” Rena swooned and held her cheeks. “Maybe I should get her a party dress, she’d look so cyuuuute~ She usually wears pink or blue, maybe something different for a party? Oooh, what about some red? Satoko-chan would look super cyute in something… r-red.” Rika was ready to let Rena rant as she usually did, however she was her freeze, eyes wide with fear as if a distant memory had suddenly come back to her.
“R-Rena…?” Rika reached out to her. “Are you alright, mii?” She tried to throw in a little cute to snap Rena out of it. The look of fear plastered across Rena’s face stayed for a moment, but faded as she visibly put some effort into smiling. It was something Rena did quite a bit when things weren’t right and Rika had gotten used to it over the past century.
“M-Mhm!” Rena added sweetly, smiling like an angel but still visibly putting effort into it.
“Rena…” Rika pushed the issue tenderly, knowing from her experience she couldn’t force Rena to talk about it if she didn’t want to, but also to be persistent with her friends when it came to communication.
“It’s just a bad dream is all.” Rena rubbed the back of her head, having no idea what her memories from the prior loops creeping into her mind meant. “I just remembered a bad dream I had where Oiishi-san was a very bad man… and then… Satoko…” Rena trailed off, not wanting to spoil the birthday celebration with such morbid, and in her mind entirely fictional, thoughts.
“Satoko…?” Rika’s eyes widened, the spots where Ooishi beat her to death previously still ached with some phantom pain, so she knew Rena was absolutely telling the truth. “Satoko… did something bad, nipah?”
“I-It’s just a dream!!” Rena blushed, waving her hands in front of her. “I’ve been hanging around Keiichi-kun too much, he has weird dreams like that too. Our Satoko would never do something like that, right? Right?” She smiled sweetly.
Rika forced a smile as her face too wanted to freeze in horror. Things were making too much sense. She’d long suspected someone was controlling the nature of her loops to their desired end. Things had only corrected themselves now that she’d embraced her discarded love for Hinamizawa, something she now remember Satoko talking to her about several times over the course of several loops. Maybe she’d known before now, but she hadn’t wanted to believe it.
“Yeah, our Satoko is a good girl, Nipah~”
-----------------------------------------------------------------
Satoko pulled the trigger, shooting Rika directly through the forehead and pulling the gun on herself, both girls hitting the ground before the rest of the club around them could even comprehend what was going on. Their screams of surprise and anguish quickly faded as the life drained out of both girls before they hit the ground.
The next thing the blonde child knew she was back in her house with Rika, at the start of the loop an instant before Rika’s consciousness followed her. The brief moment of shock and surprise at being drawn into the new loop was all the clue Satoko needed, gripping Rika’s arm and grabbing a kitchen knife.
Rika flailed and threw herself away from Satoko, landing on the ground before she could kill her again. “This is going to be much harder now that you know…” Satoko growled, brandishing the large knife. “Why do you have to be so difficult? Why can’t you love Hinamizawa for the beautiful place it is!? Why can’t you stay here with me!?”
The sweet innocent look melted from Rika’s eyes, showing the side of herself that only a few ever witnessed as she got back to her knees and quickly backed up, facing Satoko head-on. “I thought I hated Hinamizawa, after spending one hundred years of tragedy here I really did think I hated it. But even then I never wanted to leave forever… I want to experience more out of life, what kind of sin is that!?” Some part of Rika really had come to appreciate Hinamizawa again after all of this, but she wasn’t budging on her dreams either.
Satoko lunged at her, slashing away with the knife angrily and blindly. “Is Hinamizawa not good enough for you!? Am I!? This “hick town” is the only place I will ever belong, if you hate this town, you hate me! And no matter how hard I try I cannot change for you Rika! So I have to change you instead, no matter what it takes!!”
Rika weaved away from the slashes, staying out of Satoko’s admittedly short reach. “You aren’t this town! I don’t hate you! More than anything in the world I wanted to share my dream with you!  Nothing that happened to me here was your fault until now, but I can’t stand to stay here the rest of my life!”
“And I can’t stand to leave, but I can’t stand to be without you!” Satoko leapt forward again, moving to jump at Rika and stab her with tears in her eyes, the other girl grabbing both her wrists to keep her at arm’s length, earning a few cuts to her arms but staying safe for now. Rika winced as she tried to hold Satoko back, the blonde was a small bit stronger than her and slowly but surely the knife got closer and closer to her.
“You’re the most important person to me! How can you see everything I went through, to truly understand my suffering and want more of that for me!? How can you drag me back into my worst nightmare and claim it’s love!?” Rika shrieked, tightening her grip in vain as she tried to push Satoko away.
“It doesn’t matter! The world where you and I are happy together is the only one I’ll accept! Everything else is just like a bad dream!” She growled, forcing the knife down more.
“You know that’s not true! Those other worlds aren’t fake, they’re real! They leave a mark on your heart, people who live in loops are never unphased by the worlds they live in! Every single one of the tragedies I’ve lived through lives on in my heart, along with all the joy I shared with all of you in those hundred years! I never forgot a single one of them and I know the worlds you’ve lived through changed you too!”
Satoko’s eyes widened briefly, faltering for a second as Rika’s words festered in her mind, knowing what she was becoming the more she played with people as toys and got addicted to it. Rika took the opportunity, shoving Satoko back and kicking her in the stomach to knock her away and knock the knife out of her hand.
SCCHK!!
The shock of the clash shot through Satoko and she tried to get up, but found she couldn’t. She looked over at Rika, a look of despair and regret washing over her face. Glancing back she saw she fell back on the umbrella rack by the door, and looking down she saw the sharp point of one of the bigger umbrellas sticking out from her chest, blood spreading across her pink top.
“W-Wait, no…” Satoko tried pulling herself off, but felt the strength leaving her arms already, eyes widening in terror. “I can’t die first… no, no… after all this… not like this…” She scrambled around for anything that could make Rika die faster than she currently was but her vision was already fading. “What was this all for…? For it to end like this…” Her arms hung limply as she crashed down to the floor in a heap.
“R-Rika…”
----------------------------------------------
“Oh my, how interesting…” Satoko woke to Eua’s voice and the twinkling of thousands of prisms spinning around them in the Sea of Fragments. “I did tell you to be more careful, Vier.” She chided, sprawled across her lounge chair with an amused smile.
“Rika!!” Satoko shot up off the floor of the stone platform they were floating on, eyes wide with terror. Eua had told her if she failed to kill Rika before she died, she would no longer be able to loop into a world with Rika in it. “What happened!? Is Rika gone!?” She stared shocked at the goddess before her.
“Not exactly.” Eua smirked, lazily floating in the air now. “The Cat was the focal point for your looping, therefore because you died first this time, your “Sea of Fragments” and hers are now eternally divorced. Either world in which you exist cannot contain her, and vice versa. You are like oil and vinegar. Your attempts to remain together have resulted in you two being fated to never meet again, never even existing in the same fragment, how deliciously amusing.” She purred.
“W-What…” The realization washed over Satoko like a wave, dread covering her face, arm twitching with fury and regret and disappointment. The twitching hand quickly grasped her neck, as if half of her was trying to choke the life out of herself. “LOOK WHAT YOU DID!!!” One of her eyes had a thick stream of tears flowing down it while the other glowed a devilish red with a look of annoyance filling it.
“What I did!?” The red side growled, forcing the hand away from her neck. “It was your selfishness and greed that called me out! You were the one that wished to do things over! I am merely your wish, your curse given form! I am the strength you asked for!”
“Oh my, I thought we’d buried that side of Satoko for good.” Eua’s eyes shone with dull surprise. “It looks like that death was a shock to both of you and split you up again…” She waved her staff and yawned. “Let’s do something about that before this gets too confusing…” Out from the middle of Satoko split two girls, one with the girl’s normal rose-colored eyes and one with the bright red of a Looper: Satoko and The Witch.
“We lost Rika and it’s all your fault!” Satoko shouted at the Witch. “You made me hurt my uncle, and do all those awful things! And now we don’t even have Rika to show for it!”
“Made you!? Ohoho! Even now you’re more concerned about Rika than any regret for what you’ve done! You enjoyed the game as much as I did, don’t be upset just because it’s over.” The Witch cackled. “You started this, don’t throw a tantrum just because you lost. Your lust for pity and addiction to manipulation is the only reason I’m here at all!”
“No, you’re…” The words stung deep into Satoko, deep down she knew she couldn’t blame all of this on the Witch despite how much she wanted a scapegoat, her grief turned in on itself and became self-loathing and she backed away towards the edge of the platform. “You’re right… this is all my fault. I wanted so desperately to be with Rika that if the world told me I couldn’t, I would gladly destroy that world and find a world that would give me a more palatable answer…”
“You are a sinner, Satoko Hojo.” A grin split the Witch’s face in half. “Just like me.”
A defeated look crossed Satoko’s face as she hung her head, heels at the edge of the platform, there was nowhere else to go.
So she leapt.
Falling through the thousands of shards, into the abyss, falling and at the same time not falling, but moving away from the area with Eua and the Witch all the same
“Should we… do something about that?” The Witch looked back at Eua with a puzzled look.
“The Sea of Fragments is but a temporary stop, humans aren’t meant to exist here indefinitely, that is only for Witches like us. If she doesn’t loop again she will eventually cease to exist entirely. Let’s just see what happens. Despair is its own form of entertainment~”
-----------------------------------------------------------
Rika awoke in her own sea of fragments some time later. Memories of what happened after she killed Satoko were fuzzy but she had a feeling she hadn’t lasted much longer than that for one reason or another.  She glanced around and a feeling of deep emptiness washed over her. It had been a few loops since Hanyuu’s memory disappeared in front of her but with the drive of trying to solve the mystery kept her going for a bit. Now that she had the answer she was struck by just how quiet and empty this world was without her guardian deity and now that she had the answer.
“Every time I try to find the truth in a sea of keys, it just opens the door to something even more tragic…” She lay onto her back and closed her eyes. She couldn’t place it but for some reason she felt particularly empty, not at peace per se, but not in anguish about the revelation like she’d expected to be.
Why go on at this point? Her closest friends had either disappeared or betrayed her. If she looped again she knew she’d only be killed by Satoko again, or worse, find a world where she wasn’t there. She dug into her pocket, pulling out the shard of the Onigari-no-Ryuuou she’d retrieved earlier, noticing that it stayed with her when she looped as if it existed outside normal time.  She briefly contemplated finally using it on herself, not overcome by despair as she had been the first time she thought of it, but filled with emptiness and apathy that prodded her with the possibility.
“So are you going to use it?” A voiced called to her from across the distance. It was somehow familiar despite her knowing she’d never heard it before. She sat up and saw a woman about her height, with her hair color, yet with a bored expression spun across her face.
“Who are you…?” Rika gripped the shard of the sword tighter, toying with the idea of defending herself if it came to that but quickly shelving the idea.
“Eua calls me The Cat, that’s as good as any name I suppose.” The woman murmured. “You didn’t answer my question. Are you going to do it? As long as someone’s entertained, this story won’t end. You’ll keep getting dragged into loops whether you like it or not. Stories shouldn’t be without endings. An end, even a bad end, might be worth it.”
“Are you… me?” Rika asked on a hunch, glancing down to the shard in her hand.
“Yes and no.” The Cat responded. “I am the frustration and madness and grief of a hundred years of torment. In a moment of agony you wished to be rid of that, to cast off the fatigue of those who live in loops. It’s not exactly that easy, but I am a response to that wish at least.”
“It would be a waste.” Rika finally responded, putting the shard back in her pocket. “I’ve gone through too much wanting to live to die now. To admit at all that suffering was for nothing, it would be far too cruel.”
“We are no strangers to cruelty. The curses of witches often create worlds where there are no good ends.” A sadistic smirk briefly crossed the Cat’s lips. “It’s ironic that Satoko’s desire not to lose you has now put you two out of reach forever. It would’ve been more deliciously ironic if it caused the cessation of your existence entirely, but I won’t be greedy for now.” The cat gave a cruel chuckle.
“She what!?” Rika winced, she had a feeling about what Satoko had said, she was no expert on how the fragments worked but she could feel as if Satoko had been somehow lost to her.
“Do you care? Do you care that the girl that dragged you back into hell for her own selfish means is now gone? I suppose I could go for a girl like that, but I think we have different tastes.” The Cat’s stoic face showed a slightly bemused smirk.
“I do… I’ve been hurt by all my friends at one time or another, they’ve all murdered and hurt me and I knew it wasn’t their fault. Satoko may not have been under Hinamizawa Syndrome, but she was hurting all the same. I won’t say I didn’t try to help her, but at the same time I failed to adequately see how deeply troubled she was. I was so blind that I didn’t even see that she was the one that was upset at me enough to pull me back into loops. I can’t forgive what she did so easily, but I know… in the end, she just wanted the same thing I did, for us to be together…”
-----------------------------------------------------------
“I’m sorry, I’m sorry, I’m sorry, I’m sorry, I’m sorry, I’m sorry, I’m sorry, I’m sorry, I’m sorry, I’m sorry, I’m sorry, I’m sorry, I’m sorry, I’m sorry, I’m sorry, I’m sorry, I’m sorry, I’m sorry, I’m sorry, I’m sorry, I’m sorry, I’m sorry, I’m sorry, I’m sorry, I’m sorry, I’m sorry, I’m sorry, I’m sorry, I’m sorry, I’m sorry, I’m sorry, I’m sorry, I’m sorry, I’m sorry, I’m sorry, I’m sorry.” The words croaked out of Satoko’s throat, she wasn’t sure how many times she’d said it but she’d long passed the one thousand apologies demanded of an offense to God. Eventually she just stopped talking altogether.
Satoko wasn’t sure how long she drifted, it could have been hours, years, decades, she had no idea how time worked in the sea of fragments and her mind was too blank and numb to try and make sense of it all. She kept replaying the events in her head, trying to see where she’d gone wrong. It was obvious the more she looked at it, even if her crimes didn’t last through loops, living in a world where death didn’t matter and each new life was just one of a million chances to make her ideal world deeply affected her, warped the way she saw things.
She bumped into a fragment from behind, looping into it. She was walking home with Keiichi and Rena, the house she and Rika had lived in was hers alone and the distance between her and her friends was more noticeable without Rika there to bridge the gap. This wasn’t the first loop she’d bumped into mindlessly, some the villagers had been more hostile to her without Rika there to help her. Some of them her uncle was still there, sometimes nice, sometimes cruel, some loops were relatively pleasant, though the emptiness of Rika’s absence persisted.
Just like the others she had no interest in this world. The only reason she didn’t entirely avoid fragments on her mindless drifting was in the vain hope that she’d bump into a fragment with Rika in it. Still she knew this wasn’t one of those, stopping in the middle of the street. Ren and Keiichi turned to see what was wrong, though they didn’t ask. She dug into her pencil bag, finding the sharpest pencil she could and jammed it hard into her eye. She screamed in torment but she’d gotten used to this by now and knew where to go to make sure she died quickly.
Soon enough she was back in the sea, drifting listlessly, eyes hollow and lightless. “When I was little, I broke Oyashiro-sama’s statue and Rika was blamed for it… was I cursed since that day? Or even before that… have I been cursed since the day I was born? Born into the family of outcasts that supported the dam project, broken and abused, my Nii-Nii stolen from me… it seems God’s been angry at me from the start… not this time though, this time the Curse is all on me…”
“Satoko… curses don’t break easily, but that’s not all there is to the world either…” A voice called to Satoko from the darkness. A brief flicker of light shone in the blonde’s hopeless eyes, willing herself to at least look over and acknowledge the voice.
“Your sins can’t disappear.” Hanyuu floated in front of her. “I’ve learned that myself, just like when you erase a blackboard, it’s never as clean as before you wrote on it. The Witch is real and reflects your sins, that will never change. There will always be a part of you that can’t forgive the world and curses it. My hatred of the world of men became a blight on the land that spread farther than I ever intended…” Hanyuu sighed, thinking of Hinamizawa Syndrome and Eua. “But that’s not all of you. Forgiveness is a miracle, many people prayed to Oyashiro-sama to forgive them, but a Miracle isn’t something gifted to you by divine providence. A Miracle is something you make with your own two hands, little by little. If it takes a hundred years, even if that sin never disappears, the miracle of forgiveness can be yours.”
“I don’t deserve forgiveness, I don’t know if I even want it at this point…” Satoko sat upright, glancing away from Hanyuu. She remembered her from the fragments she’d viewed through Rika and though they hadn’t spoken much she couldn’t bear to look her in the eyes now.
“Then what do you want, Satoko?” Hanyuu nodded patiently. “I may be a failure but I am still a deity, let me hear your prayers.”
The question brought Satoko to tears, after all she’d done to selfishly pursue her own goals, after all her agony and self-loathing, to be asked what she wanted, to still consider her desires as valid, to think she had a future to aspire to.
“I… I WANT TO SEE RIKA!!!” She shouted into the void, tears streaming down her face. “I want to apologize, even if I don’t deserve forgiveness, I want to see her one more time and cherish the brief moment I have with her to make up for all the worlds of time with her I threw away!!”
“I can’t grant your wish Satoko… but you can.” Hanyuu smiled sweetly, tears creeping into the corners of her eyes as well. “There’s nothing that can’t be done. Rika rolled the dice of fate thousands of times and made a miracle, and  you worked towards your goals, misguided as they were, to meet them with certainty. Even if it’s just one time, you can overcome your own consequences and find the one world where you can get your wish. Seek it out with hopes and dreams instead of curses and despair and you will certainly find it.”
“RIKA!!!’ Satoko charged forward, finding no footing in the floating void but touching shard after shard, flashing through dozens, possible hundreds of worlds. Each world erupted into shards of light as she passed through them, like digging through a pool of glass, ignoring the pain each defeat found her, crawling through years and years in what seemed like instants and eternities all at once. The light from each broke shard formed a rift, lighting a crack in the void that she was finally able to step through.
And came out on the other side.
--------------------------------------------------------
“RIKA!!!!!” Rika turned her head, spying the chasm of light above her as Satoko reached out through it. The priestess took her hand with a gasp, pulling her through, eyes wide with shock.
“Satoko!?”
“Oh my, how interesting…” The Cat smirked, disappearing into the void while her eyes stayed glued to the two.
“Rika… I’m sorry… I don’t want to feel that far apart from you ever again… so even if it’s just right now, even if this is the last time I see you… please just know I’m sorry. You don’t have to forgive me, I don’t want you to, just please hear my apology…”
Rika was stunned, seeing the look of anguish on Satoko’s face, completely changed from the smug angry expression she’d had in the kitchen.
“I… forgive you.”
“No! Rika you dummy…” Satoko sobbed. “I don’t deserve forgivness…”
“Whether you deserve it or not, you’re getting it.” Rika patted Satoko’s head. “Poor, poor Satoko. Pain fly away, Mii~” Her voice was briefly cute and fluffy as it had been in class before returning to a more stern tone.
“Please don’t be sad, even if the world doesn’t forgive you, I will forgive you. Please don’t be sad, even if you don’t forgive the world, I will forgive you. So please tell me, what shall I do so that you’ll forgive me?” The Cat repeated the lines from the poem as she watched the scene unfold.
“No matter the error, nothing is unforgivable. There’s no such thing as a mistake that can’t be fixed. If it is something that can’t be fixed, that all the more reason to forgive you because nothing will be changed by you apologizing now.” Rika gave a tender smile as she embraced Satoko gently.
“Come on, let’s go back. Whether or not we’ll be together in the future, we’re together now. The rest we can figure out later.” Rika pulled back gently, tears streaming from her eyes as she gave a laugh of relief.
“That’s hardly any fun.” Eua grumbled from above as she and the Witch floated down to join the Cat. “I demanded to be entertained for my payment of granting your wish Satoko, and I am not satisfied just yet.”
“I have no intention of entertaining you any longer…” Satoko gave the faintest of smiles. “I plan on my life being very boring from here on out.”
“That’s dumb, you’re dumb.” The Witch blew a raspberry at Satoko.
“Well if you’re not a willing participant that doesn’t bode well… I suppose I’ll have to get my fill with one last game. I could always just revoke the power of looping from both of you and leave you stranded here forever, but that does sound boring… I will let you return to the future, for one last high-stakes game. Watching your little club play has gotten me in the mood to perform a game of my own.” The goddess’s face bent into a wicked smirk.
“Oooh, what game are we playing?” The Witch leaned in as the Cat joined her beside Eua.
“Onigokko.” Eua’s grin grew wider.
“Tag? You’re going to have them play Tag?” The Cat tilted her head, perplexed.
Eua held up her hand, a black fragment appearing in it. “Your final test to prove your resolve. During Satoko’s looping, the accumulation of memories irreversibly grew exponentially and so more and more people began to branch out with memories of dying in the tragic Hinamizawa Disaster or succumbing to Hinamizawa Syndrome. This fragment represents the buildup of those accumulated memories, it represents your foolish desire to try and infinitely loop through time as if you could do so forever without consequence. If you can enter and defeat it, you will earn  your return to your original future. However if you fail or are to die, your worlds will once again be separated forever, erasing this little miracle for eternity. The rules are simple: all of the infected townspeople, driven mad by their resurfaced memories are the “Oni” make it to the Saiguden, the ritual storehouse where Satoko first met me, and you will return to your future. However if you are killed beforehand, you will return to your separate, parallel seas of fragments.”
“Oooh, I like this game!” The Witch grinned, giving a haughty laugh.
“That’s not fair! Satoko already apologized for-“ Rika protested, interrupted by a hand on her shoulder.
“It’s okay Rika… I’ll confront my mistakes. Whether it’s punishment or forgiveness that awaits me, I can’t keep running from it.” Satoko hung her head solemnly before looking up at Eua with determination. “But if we’re playing by club rules, you know we have to give it our all, and I don’t intend to lose.”
“Oh you are endlessly entertaining Vier, good luck.” Eua chuckled before tossing the fragment to Rika and Satoko, sucking them into it in a brilliant light.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
The night sky of Hinamizawa was blood red, blotched with smoke and filled with the sounds of screams and crashes overtaking the normal roar of the cicadas. Standing in the fields, Rika and Satoko could see the glow of fire working its way through the small buildings of the mountain town and the shadows of hurried figures at they ran back and forth.
“This is how people react to loops.” The Cat floated ethereally behind Rika as Hanyuu once had. “See how easily they break to all that you’ve endured?”
“The conflictions of memories and murder and death have driven everyone mad and detached them from reality, what a marvelous game to play.” The Witch gave a haughty laugh from behind Satoko. “I won’t take your body again though, it’s much more fun to watch you play in this instance.” She gave the blonde a smug smirk.
Rika looked pensive for a moment, watching the people scream in torment in the distance as the town she’d wanted to protect and be liberated from so badly burned in front of her. It wasn’t the Great Hinamizawa Disaster, but in a way this was something of their own making, the result of the fight between her and Satoko. She was torn from her thoughts by a hand grasping hers.
“Come on Rika, we have to get to the Saiguden.” Satoko reminded. “If we go to the shrine this way we can avoid going through the bulk of the village.” She led Rika along the dirt path. Running down the rural street on foot reminded her of how frail her childish body was after so long in the Sea of Fragments. Her footing wasn’t sure and her stride was short, if they were found by someone and chased it wouldn’t end well for them.
They made their way down the road and for a time it was quiet, the top of the Furude Shrine’s torii gate could be seen on the horizon, they were getting close. However the closer they got to the shrine, the slower their footsteps got, eyes widening with sudden realization.
There were people moving about the shrine: a lot of them.
“Oh my, there certainly are a lot of them. Did Eua put you back on the day of the Watanagashi Festival? Ohoho~” The Witch cackled.
“RIKA! RIKAAA~~~!!!” A familiar voice pierced the darkness. It was Mayor Kimiyoshi, leading a mob of people on the shrine. “Come out so you can die for the village!” Several of the people were holding makeshift weapons, many already had bloodstains on them.
“Damn…” Satoko cursed under her breath as they tried to get out of view, but it was too late.
“There she is!” One of the villagers shouted from the overlook of the shrine, calling down to the mob on the steps. Taking Rika’s hand, Satoko had no choice but to dash into the thick forest and up the hill, Rika taking her hand away so both could climb up the hill together through the brush.
“You’ll never get away from me in this village Rika!” Kimiyoshi’s shrill shout came from the bottom of the hill as the mob had raced down the stairs to confront Rika.
“I’ve lived in this village for over one hundred years.” Rika’s voice grew harsh, her eyes showing a faint red gleam. “No one knows every inch of it better than I do.” The girls scrambled up the hill, leading them away from the stairs had taken them towards the path where the house Satoko and Rika shared was.
“I found you!” A voice called as Keiichi appeared in front of the two girls. “I knew you’d try something sneaky… now tell me! Why am I feeling this way? Why is my mind full of blood and death and despair!? Kimiyoshi says if we sacrifice you, all this will clear up!”
Rika winced, staring at the dented bat in Keiichi’s hands. “You’re feeling it because of us, everything’s happened to you all at once and it’s too much for anyone…” The Cat’s words to her hung heavy on her. She’d lived these infinite loops many times but this all hit Hinamizawa at once and it would break anyone, whether it was the mob at her back or the friend in her way, she didn’t have much recourse.
“Keiichi-san!” Satoko moved to protect Rika as Keiichi started to swing. “You remember everything, don’t you? When death and destruction flow through your mind it’s easy for that to be the only thing you think about. But once remembering these loops gave you strength. The regret you felt in remembrance gave you the strength to apologize to Rena, it let you hear her apology through the madness.” She outstretched her hands upward, remembering the flashes of the first fragment Eua had shown her.
Keiichi froze, bat still hanging high in the air as he looked down at Satoko’s outstretched hands. He remembered Rena doing the same, remembered breaking those outstretched hands, remembered asking for her forgiveness when she could no longer remember his sins. All of the tragedy that they’d been through, the times he’d killed Rena and Mion, the ones where he’d went on a rampage at Angel Mort, but also the times he’d fought to defend Rena, the times he stood against the village to protect Satoko and Rika. Everything was so vast and the blood of it all had floated to the surface, but deep down the kindness and forgiveness stuck with him.
“Satoko… Rika…” Keiichi sighed, lowering his bat. “I don’t know how long I can keep that pain from my mind, but I have faith in my friends. You guys have a plan, right?”
“Yes!” Both girls gave determined nods.
“Alright, I’ll slow everyone down as much as I can.” He gave a confident smirk, feeling more capable than he probably was. “You guys do what you have to do.”
Rika nodded as she and Satoko ran in the opposite direction, Keiichi heading off part of the mob that was trying to cross the bridge to the shrine. “The will to fight… it’s still so awe-inspiring.” It didn’t come naturally to her, to spit in the face of adversity, but it was something she’d slowly learned over time.
As they passed by the house, the familiar glow of flames overtook their shared home, catching Satoko’s eye as the mob sought to burn out any place they could hide. Just as had happened in the future,  the place where Rika and her could be together was disappearing, making her heart sink, all her efforts to prevent that only hastened the process.
“Rena…” Rika whispered, stopping in front of Satoko, causing her to bump into her from behind.
The red-head’s hands were shaking as she gripped the axe tightly in her hands until her knuckles turned white. “I don’t want to hurt my friends… why are we doing this, I wonder, I wonder?” Her mind was flooded with thoughts of trying to protect her father, of doing her best, but failing to protect him or stop her friends from resorting to murder. “Why… why is it like this…?”
Rika stepped forward this time. “Rena, you’re the most caring person I know. You’ve been hurt a lot but you keep reaching out your hands to forgive and comfort others. Even if you think our existence is a sin, I need to ask you to forgive us once more. Just one more time.”
“I’m the one that’s a sinner…” Rena gently itched her wrist, faintly as if scratching a memory. “Rika-chan… Satoko-chan… why does everyone keep getting hurt no matter what we do? We’re trying our best but… it keeps happening over and over.” The axe trembled in her hands.
“It’s not your fault Rena!” Satoko winced, remembering Rena was the first person she deliberately manipulated in her quest to torture Rika, promising her happiness she was never quite sure she could deliver. “We aren’t being punished by an angry god… we’re doing this to each other, and it’s up to us to forgive each other. Please Rena, don’t let the confusion and blood make you forget everything we shared. I’ve done you wrong, but you’ve always managed to see the best in people and kept reaching out to them even when they couldn’t hear you…”
“I don’t know what I can do… but I won’t hurt you, I won’t…” Rena nodded firmly, stepping down towards where Keiichi was to stall the mob a little longer. Her hands were shaking still but her determination to not shed more blood seemed solid.
Satoko and Rika kept moving, finally reaching the storehouse and finding two people there. To their surprise, Mion and Shion weren’t standing in their way, but confronting each other. “We have to end this!” Shion shouted, flailing against Mion as the other sister tried to hold her wrists. “This damn village, everything that runs it is a corrupt pile of shit! This has to end here, Granny, Rika, Kimiyoshi, they all have to die!!”
Mion’s face contorted in conflict and sadness, but no malice. She too now remembered all the pain and torment her family had seemingly caused throughout the village over numerous interations. She now even remembered getting her own hands dirty as well when her affection for Keiichi drove her to madness. Still that solitary sin in a century’s worth of memories filled her with regret and conviction rather than madness.
“I thought I was trying to be strong as the head of the family, but even I walked down the same path as you with a little prodding, I know where you’re coming from Shion. I wasn’t strong enough to resist that madness myself, nor was I brave enough to stop you when you had succumb to it. Our relationship’s never been easy, taking your place and that meaning I had to be stern against you, it’s no wonder you feel this way. It’s no wonder you have such a trail of blood behind you, I tried my best to be the head of the Sonozaki Family, but in being your sister I was sorely lacking. I wasn’t able to comfort you, I wans’t able to change our Granny like Keiichi did, I didn’t have the bravery he had to stand against tradition, nor the charisma to break it, and you suffered because of that.” Tears streamed down both twins face at Mion’s confession, her grip on Shion’s wrists turning to an embrace as she hugged her twin tightly, weeping between her words.
“I love you, Shion.”
Rika and Satoko rushed past the twins while they were engaged with each other, the mob hot on their trail as the glow of torches enveloped them from behind. Spotting them smaller girls, Shion’s eyes widened as she pushed them into the Saiguden and barred the door shut behind her. “That’s right… I promised I would protect Satoko…”
Mion stretched her arms out, placing herself between the angry mob and the storage warehouse. “You’re not going to sacrifice someone on a superstition! As head of the Sonozaki Family I will not stand for this!” She roared, glaring into the furious cries of the crowd. “This curse ends here!!”
--------------------------------------------------------------------
Inside the storehouse, Rika and Satoko barricaded the door, the banging of the crowd threatening to knock it down at any moment despite the rest of the club’s efforts to stop them. “Well we’re here, what do we do now?” Satoko growled in frustration, looking around the bloodstained room of torture devices and the statue of Oyashiro-sama.
“Well it’s a game of tag~” The Witch teased in Satoko’s ear. “You all haven’t been tagged yet, but apparently you haven’t found home base yet either.”  She gave a smug giggle.
“Eua said this is where we first met…” Satoko looked towards the statue, poking at its midsection and opening another crack as she had before, though instead of the broken horn that came out the first time she’d been here, a light erupted in front of them, a vision of Rena, Keiichi, and Mion searching the storeroom for them as they were in the future.
“There it is!” Rika reached out to touch the portal to the future, but finding it was solid, like touching a pane of glass. “…why can’t we get in?”
“Satoko knows…” The Cat chirped boredly over Rika’s shoulder as a glow from Rika’s pocket caught both of their attention.
To the girls’ surprise, the shard of the Onigari-no-Ryuuou ripped its way out of Rika’s pocket, joining with the full sword as it appeared in Satoko’s hand. “The sword… I hid it here before… I guess it’s the only way to break through into the other world…” She gripped the hilt and raised it to swing at the portal.
“Think about this Satoko Hojo.” The Witch narrowed her eyes. “If you do this, everything you’ve done until now will be for naught. You’ll go back to that lonely world where everyone’s moved on without you and you and Rika are drifting apart.”
“Even staying here I can’t stop Rika and I from drifting apart.” Satoko closed her eyes and took a deep breath, though her hands were still shaking and she couldn’t bring herself to make the swing even with the banging on the storage room door growing louder.
“You can’t stop the future.” Rika sighed and nodded, taking Satoko’s hand. “You can delay it, you can close yourself off from it, you can try and try to do better, but you can’t stop it forever. Still, it’s something you have to choose to be a part of. I know you desperately tried to change your fate as I tried to change mine. It’s a very painful process, but as much as knowing when to reject fate is important, knowing when to accept it is just as important. If you can accept the future as it is, I can promise you we’ll face it together.”
Satoko had heard such promises before, and knew they couldn’t always be trusted, no matter how hard she tried, she and Rika ended up in different places, worlds apart. But still, she wanted to trust Rika one more time. She wanted to move forward and at least try to start to be forgiven.
“Okay… I’ll choose the future…”
Rika and Satoko’s hands gripped the Ongari-no-Ryuuou and swung down into the fragment.
-----------------------------------
The two girls tumbled into the storehouse with a whimper, rubbing their sore backsides as they were greeted by their friends, still on their break from school after picking them up at St. Lucia’s, just as they had left them. The three older kids had looks of concern on their faces at they spotted Satoko and Rika fall from seemingly nowhere.
“There you two are, geez what’s with you guys?” Keiichi huffed. “You disappeared and we looked everywhere for you! Lucky Mion had the keys to this place, how’d you know they’d be here?”
Mion rubbed the bridge of her nose. “This old man just had a hunch is all. Don’t you remember that game of hide of seek we played where we found Rika here?”
“Ah? I don’t remember that, I don’t.” Rena gave a puzzled look and tilted her head. “Are you making up stories again Mion-san?”
“Ehehe, maybe it’s kind of fuzzy…” Mion chuckled and put her hands on her hips. “At least everyone’s here, I’m glad things have changed around here, if Granny found us all in here like this a few years ago there’d be hell to pay.”
Satoko’s eyes widened as she silently looked at the statue of Oyashiro-sama, the head, chest, and even the hand were unbroken, reminding her of how much trouble Rika had gotten in when she had been blamed for Satoko breaking the statue’s arm.
“Oh, you noticed that huh?” Mion grinned, spying Satoko looking at the arm. “A few years ago I snuck in here and fixed the statue’s arm. Rika-chan got blamed for it when you guys were little, but it was you, right Satoko?”
Satoko looked like a kicked puppy as she hung her head with a small nod.
“Don’t worry, like I said things are different now. Plus there’s no harm done, you can hardly see where it was broken.” She ran a finger over the seam where she had diligently worked to repair it.
“There’s a crack… it wasn’t like that before and it’ll never be the same…” Satoko huffed, glancing to the corner of the storehouse where the Onigari-no-Ryuuou lay  tucked away in a corner under some other instruments, the seam where Rika’s shard had fused into it was still clearly visible.
“That’s true I guess, once you break something it’ll never be like new again.” Mion pondered while looking over the statue. “Something perfect and unbroken is very beautiful, but something that’s been broken and repaired has something more than beauty, it has wisdom. Like a scar…” She gingerly reached to her back, where the demon tattoo was branded onto her. “They’re like an experience, a reminder of something you learned from. Breaking this statue made you empathize with how Rika felt, right? It may even have made you closer friends. Then in that case you’ve learned from that scar.” She smirked.
Satoko looked up at her and nodded slowly, looking at Rika who gave her a tender smile. “That’s right, Mii~”
“Rika, I…. I don’t want to go to St. Lucia’s anymore. I want to stay here in Hinamizawa.” Satoko finally admitted to Rika and herself.
“Oh, so that’s what this was all about…” Keiichi rubbed the back of his head, feeling a little awkward that they’d seemingly drug up this disagreement. “I thought you guys were a little cold to each other on the ride out here…”
“I know… I wanted to share St. Lucia’s with you, but I know I can’t force you into somewhere you don’t want to be…” Rika nodded softly, a faint smile tinged by sadness crossing her face.
“Heyyy, listen to me.” Keiichi growled, flicking both their foreheads.
“Ow!”
“Hey!”
“We all went to different schools right? And yet we’re here now. Just because we’re not together every day and we want different things doesn’t mean we’re not friends. That’s why Mion organized this whole thing. After everything we’ve been through, do you think we’d forget each other just because we’re not constantly together?”
“That’s true, loving someone means wanting them to be where they’ll grow best, right?” Rena smiled and giggled, watching the two rub their foreheads, swooning a bit at the cyuuute scene. “Everyone’s different and nothing’s guaranteed, so we have to cherish the time we have together and work harder to stay connected while helping each other grow.”
“Alright, this old man’s sick of all this mush, let’s get out of here and go get something to eat.” Mion cracked her knuckles and grinned. “Shion’s waiting for us down at Angel Mort, so let’s get going.”
“Yeah…” Satoko nodded, taking Rika’s hand gently as the other three led them out of the storehouse, into the light of the sunset.
“I don’t know what kind of future I’ll have with Rika, but trying to force it will only divide us more, I’m going to cherish the time I have with her now, and keep growing into who I need to be to stay connected with her, even if from a distance… if we do drift away, I’m going to love her now as best I can… I’ll remember everything I’ve had with her and the unbridled joy it’s brought me. I won’t be sad.”
“I won’t cry.”
-------------------------------------------------------------
“Awww, that was so much fun! Just one more round!” Eua pouted, watching the fragment with a frustrated growl. “I just want to torture them a little more!”
“You promised!” Hanyuu growled angrily, her eyes turning red. “Besides, the way they are now, I don’t think you’ll have the same kind of fun playing that sort of game with them again. Let Rika and Satoko live their lives.”
“That’s true, playing the same game over and over again is boring.” The Cat sighed as she floated by.
“We should find a new game to play, with brand new pawns to mess with.” The Witch cackled, shifting as she grabbed the Cat’s hands and twirled her in the air.
“Maybe my next game will be without you.” The Cat’s eyes lowered despondently.
The Witch chuckled loudly. “I’ll find you whatever game you play, and we can play together!”
The Cat huffed. “If you come after me, I’ll run away.”
“If you stop coming after me, you’ll find me.”
“If you go north, I’ll go south.”
“If you go east, I’ll go west.”
“We’ll see each other again someday.”
“Sooner than we think.”
“When they Cry, whoever they are.”

Hey ive been swamped with ACT studying latley, i was wondering if you can do head canons on what Benimaru would be like as a dad (x mother wife) where the two of you have kids? Since he is a proto nationalist I totally see him wanting a big traditional family. How would he react to pregnancy news? What would he be like when his s/o is in labor, or his reaction to babys first steps or first word. So much fluff!!
If, while reading this, you get the feeling that it was wirtten by some caveman who doesn't know shiet about children or words, know that this caveman tried her best to make it as cute and fun as possible, and that really is the pinnacle of her abilities. Okay?
+ As always, sorry for delay, I know how nerve wracking can exams be (just finished my midterms) and I hope you will achieve the highest possible results. Unfortunately you asked an author who is what she is ... Please take these 1 500 words as compensation.
Enjoy!
News
Benimaru took the news of your first pregnancy in silence. In a silence so deaf and long that every passing second tightened the hoop around your heart tighter and tighter.
It took you three days to get ready to say it to his face, and yet the stress was still eating you from the inside. His lack of response as you fumbled the ends of your T-shirt in your hands did not make it easier nor better.
You looked up sharply, preferring to face his anger rather than spending another second in uncertainty, and you found that Benimaru was looking over your shoulder, present body, but definitely not mind.
After a few calls and waving in front of his face, Benimaru seemed to wake up and shifted his lost gaze to you.
"We will have a kid?"
"Yes, we will." You repeated, stressing each word, trying to get through to him this time. You expected many things, but not so much confusion.
"A kid." He repeated, and his crimson eyes lit up the glow. "A kid!"
Benimaru cuped your checks and kissed every inch of your face. Lips, checks, temples, forehead, nose, eyelids.
"A kid."
The next person to hear the happy news was Konro, and then the whole city somehow. The residents' mouths did not close for the next 9 months.
Each time he took it better and better. Each time he almost went out of his skin showering you with kisses or dancing around the room with you in his arms. Only this first stage of the shock was shortened.
Pregnancy
Benimaru didn't know at first what a pregnant woman could and couldn't do, so it was best if you didn't do anything. After long interpretations from the midwife, the range of your allowable activities extended beyond sitting and breathing, but there was no question of any use of force.
After a while, you even stopped trying to lift anything above the bowl of rice. Every time Benimaru saw that you were carrying a package, you happened to get the slightest rebuke. It was worse for all Hikeshi within 100 meters for not-helping. After that, you didn't want to trouble the innocent firefighters anymore.
As you can't even look at sake, your evening drinking has turned into making up names over tea. (Not that Shinmon suddenly stopped drinking. He doesn't want to drink in front of you when you couldn't, and after every news of the next baby, the alcohol flows in streams, so he can't complain about abstinence.) He loves holding you in his arms, with one hand for growing belly. Once he felt a kick, he literally melted.
With time, as the family began to grow, it was his duty to make sure that the older children did not tire you and find them to do something.
Childbirth
The first time he had no idea what to do. He literally turned to Konro saying:
"Konro, [Y / N], labor, what do I do ?!" Sould he wreck some buildings?
Konro, as a loving friend aware that there was no time to explain it to him with words, kicked his composite ass to the hospital.
While the whole city was celebrating the birth of another Shinmon, Benimaru was sitting next to you, holding a small bundle in his stiff hands.
"You can hug them, you know?"
"They are too tiny!" he muttered, afraid to raise his voice so as not to wake the sleeping figure.
“They are stronger than you think, Love. They're Shinmon after all, ”you recalled with a chuckle.
Since then, every time the inhabitants of the viewer of Benimaru running to the hospital (have you ever seen Benimaru running? Me neither.), they immediately reach for alcohol.
Begginings
Benimaru has experience and no major problems in taking care of children, especially since they are his. In his time off work, you can see him sitting in front of the Guardhouse, giving his toothless child to chew on his forearms, and sometimes making a tour around the city together, to the joy of all the residents. Other times, he will sit in front of the little one trying to teach him the first words.
*
"C’mon kid, da-d." Benimaru tried to keep the child's attention who was much more interested in chewing a wooden puppet.
"Daaa ~"
"Close enough, da-d." Some time ago he made a bet with [Y/N] that their first word would be dad, and the rules did not exclude support. "Da-d."
"Maaa ~"
"No, DA-D." He sighed softly and looked up sharply for the approaching steps.
Konro stepped into the yard, gloomy, looking around until he found the Captain.
“Oi Waka, have you seen Hika and Hina? I can’t find them anywhere. "
The red-eyed man shrugged, pointing to the street.
"Maybe they are terrorizing the candy seller again."
Konro sighed heavily and disappeared behind the building, leaving them alone again, and Benimaru returned his attention to the child, already scrambling onto his lap.
"Wanna sleep?" He helped them climb a little higher and leaned in as they held out a small hand at him. He was expecting an awkward slap on the nose, but instead got a tug on his hair almost to the floor. "Ack! What the… "
"Waka ~"
"What?" He froze as he tried to untangle the strands from his impossibly grasping fingers.
“Waka ~” The child repeated, tugging again, and giggled smugly.
Waka? Does it count as a dad? Did he win?
The next achievement was to make sure they didn't repeat all those curses after him, or at least so [Y/N] wouldn't hear.
Beni with big family
You probably expected that just as with twins, the whole Guardhouse will look after them ? Hah, ya wrong.
ENTIRE CITIES WATCH OVER THE MINI MIXES OF BENI-CHAN WITH [Y/N] -CHAN. They are so spoiled that sometimes it feels like only you and Benimaru have any rules. On the other hand, there are no problems with finding your children, just call them by name and half the street will indicate their whereabouts.
• Maybe you can't see it, but Benimaru doesn't know what to do with himself out of happiness. Even when he comes home in the evenings after a really long day, the sight of all those faces looking at him as the center of the world makes him smile. At such moments, he will always find some strength to play.
• The fun begins when they are old enough to help him with his work, not putting the Infernals to rest or blowing up houses, but just making a errands around the city where he can show them what Hikeshi's job is and teach them about his core beliefs.
He doesn't always succeed, but he knows he can rely on you and your ability to use words if he does.
• Benimaru has no problem with cases when one of his children doesn't want to follow in his footsteps, he knows that he has raised them well and that when he is gone, they will take care of his city regardless of his position or profession.
• BUT NOTHING RELATED TO THE EMPIRE!
You had to use force to stop him from throwing your daughter's boyfriend out the door when he heard he was with the empire.
Play time
Benimaru's favorite form of spending time together is, of course, teaching his children everything he can. Regardless of their gender, they all have inherited above-average amounts of fire power and a love to destruction.
After several dozen problems with stopping his own children from killing their siblings, Benimaru created a game called: "dad agains everyone"
It’s fun to watch Benimaru surroded by figures half his height, who try to collapse him to the ground.
Rest of the family
Grandpa Konro
This man survived small Benimaru and the Twins. There is nothing this man haven’t seen. Which makes him the best grandfather in the empire. At this stage, Koro already has a separate locker for everything from his numerous grandchildren.
He is also your kids safe place when the parent's fury rages outside.
Aunt Hika and Hina
There were times when you had to entrust your older children to the care of twins (if your children were several years old, Hika and Hina were also older, don’t get me wrong). The girls made sure that the younger members of the family learned everything they needed to know about Asakusa, the inhabitants and their usual behavior.
In fact, at some point they were considered to be part of their siblings, and so were treated like ones (read: regular bloodshed).
Nevertheless, every time one of the stepsiblings messed up with someone they shouldn't (manga readers know perfectly well that kids have it after their dad), the two fire foxes turned into two bloodthirsty beasts, ready to chase away any problematic individual.

Tumblr media
You had been warned, way before you had decided to watch Assassination Classroom, that you were going to cry at one point, but you didn’t care what’s life without a broken heart?
So, during a long weekend, you built yourself a small fort, snuggling into the covers and started watching
You were emotionally wrecked by the end of it, especially in the last episode. Tears streamed down your face as you watched Koro Sensei turn into small, elegant lights
You stayed in your small bed fort, ignoring every call or text that was sent your way. How could he die. He was such an amazing character.
You thought, stupidly, you would be fine once school started again, too busy on homework and tests to remember the yellow octopus
Oh how wrong you were.
The first incident happened when someone brought up eating octopuses, during lunch, a tear dropped down your cheek as an image of Koro-Sensei flooded your mind.
The second incident happened when someone had mentioned the end of their favorite anime. You sobbed at the thought of not seeing any of the characters anymore.
The third, and final, incident happened in front of your own boyfriend, something you should have thought of twice before doing.
You had walked into the gym, after school. Searching for your boyfriend. Your eyes were red and puffy from the numerous amounts of breakdowns that had occurred.
Your lips wobbled at the thought.  RIP Koro-Sensei
You kept your head down, as you walked into the gym, obviously sad.
It had taken a few minutes for Bokuto, and the rest of the team, to even realize that you had even arrived.
They had quickly surrounded you, encasing you in a small circle as the looked at you. Their eyes widened as you looked up at them tears forming in your eyes.
“Y/N-chan?” Konoha asked, placing a hand on your shoulder, inquiring eyes pierced you as you looked away
“Y/N, baby, what’s wrong” Bokuto asked, bending down slightly as he scooped you into a hug.
“Bokuto” your lips quivered as you clutched his back, pressing your face into the crook of his neck, the slight smell of sweat and mint lingered.
“Bokuto.” you sobbed, tears pooling in his neck, the team lept back in surprise as you had a whole breakdown in front of them
They scattered around, shouting to each other to help you.
“Get her some water.” “Oi, give her your jacket” “Do you want to buy some ice cream? ”
“Y/N, what’s wrong”Bokuto asked, voice slightly muffled,
“Koro-Sensei is dead” you shouted, as the entirety of the gym froze giving you an odd look.
“Who?” Bokuto leaned back from you tilting his head in confusion, “Koro-sensei.”
You let out another sob, giving a frantic nod.
“He’s dead!” you cried out, fingers digging into his back. Bokuto felt tears forming in his eyes as he watched you bawl.
“He’s dead!”he whispered, before turning around to his teammates, who gave them an odd look, “Guys, he’s dead!”
He brought you in, sobbing into your hair as you sobbed into his chest.
“He’s dead.” you simultaneously bawled
The team looked at you both, deadpan and slightly disappointed.
“Petition to get a new Captain.” The vote was unanimous.
Tumblr media
He warned, quite a few times, to not read The Fault in our Stars. He told you, so many goddamn times, you would cry.
And cry you did. Reading the book, just to piss him off. Nobody gonna tell me what to do
Tears had formed, blurring your vision as you closed the book. You bit your lip to stop the heart-wrenching sob that threatened to come out.
You never expected that. Not that.
The only thoughts in your mind was the death of Augustus Waters. He was dead.
Your lips were forced apart, as the trembling increased, taking in a deep breath before you let out a sob.
It was loud and forceful, rasping your throat as more continued to come
Drops of tears fell, promptly on your book. You were sure Kei was going to kill you for even letting anything happen to his book, but you were too heart-broken to care.
You took a deep breath as you chucked the book onto your head, watching as it landed with a small plop
I hate you. I hate you. I hate you. She didn’t know who she was mad at. But, you were mad. Mad at him for dying. Mad at yourself for reading it. And mad at Kei for letting you read it.
You gritted her teeth, tears falling loosely, as you swiped your phone from the near table, quickly unlocking it
A few text messages from friends and two from Kei. You scowled.
You went into his contacts and blocked him, proud of yourself for giving him some his own medicine.
You turned out the nights, closing your shutters, as you snuggled into bed, ignoring the very tiny rip in your heart from the book. You stupid person
He spammed you through friends, making them send his own stupid collection of reaction memes. Tell me this boy doesn’t have rude reacts on his phone You gritted your teeth, as you turned your notifications off, shoving your phone back in your pocket
“And he got sick” you whirled around, hearing part of a conversation. Your heart raced as you stared. They looked at you, weirded out. You blushed, mumbling a small apology as you walked away. Oh god what was that. That’s heartbreak. That’s the tweet.
You found yourself more attentive as you walked down the hallways of Karasuno High. For two reasons.
One to stay away from your boyfriend, who you caught waiting for you by your locker
And second, well, you felt yourself on the verge of tears, every second of the day.
To the point where you almost bawled in the middle of your science class.
“Class, today we’ll be talking about the mutation of cells.” You felt your breath hitch at that.
“Can anyone tell me the name—” A hand stretched out, as someone blurted the answer, “Cancer.” The teacher furrowed her eyebrows, mocking an angry look.
“Correct, but wait for me you pick on you first.” The class laughed, as the student eyed the teacher sheepishly. That student was not me. No wrong Mushroom.
But you. You couldn’t care less about that student. Your ears were blurry as you bent over your desk.
Cancer that’s what he died by. You choked on your sob as it caught in your throat. Earning her, some odd glances from the people around her.
Shit. Tears were so close to pouring out. It do be like that sometimes
You raised you hand, surprising the class and the teacher
“May I please use the restroom” you croaked out, standing up and motioning to leave the classroom before anyone could stop you.
You walked, almost running, away from the classroom, trying very hard to hide the sobs that you wanted to release.
“Y/N.” a gruff voice made you stop in your tracks as blonde hair peeked into your sight
“Tsukki?” you questioned, your voice cracked as you looked at him. He was panting, slightly, as he glared at you. But, you could see the anxiousness in his eyes.
“Y/N, what the—”
“Kei,” you sobbed, throwing your arms over his neck, “Kei.”
He backed away, surprised at first, but soon rested his hands on your waist pulling you towards him.
“I hate you.” you hissed, tears pouring down your cheeks as you looked up at him, “I hate you. I hate you. I hate you. I hate—”
He slammed a kiss onto your mouth, eager to shut you up I wanna be shut up now
“You read the book didn’t you.” he smirked, as you glared at him in all your anger
“I told you—”
“Shut up you useless excuse of a dinosaur.” you snapped, burrowing your face into his chest.
He smiled, stroking your hair as you sobbed into his chest, murmuring small phrases as you blabbered to him
“Ms. Y/N may I ask what you and Mr. Tsukishima are doing in the hallway?” Oh good Lord, you were screwed.

If There is a Persona 3 Remake
So....recently, I read an article about the likelihood of a remake of Persona 3. As you all know, I’m a slut for Atlus and all their games. And this article got me thinking, if they remade Persona 3 (please), what would I hope for? So here’s a list of things I’d be excited to see again and changes that I’d hope for.
Things I’m Looking Forward to See Again:
1) The whole ass game. Even if Atlus barely made any changes, I would just be so EXCITED to play one of my absolute favourite games again. Persona 3 was my first introduction to the Atlus universe and you can see where that went. I love the plot of it so much, there’s not a single thing about it I would change.
2) Yuri Lowenthal!! I mean...I love the cast of Persona 5. They did a fabulous job and I wouldn’t trade them for anything. And while Yuri Lowenthal can be heard as background characters in P5....it’s not enough. His role as the protagonist in Persona 3 was so good I MISS HIM.
3) The music. Not that I don’t have it on my mp3 AND Atlus did a smart and let you play Mass Destruction during battles in P5 if you’re wearing the right costume....I like the whole soundtrack. If they decided to change it up at all, they better make sure Shoji Meguro is involved.
4) The whole ass game. Idk. I just think the plot is absolutely perfect. There is nothing wrong with the story in my opinion. I like that it centers around the full moon. I enjoy the standard turn based combat system, and I LOVE the Persona summoning style.
Changes I Would Hope For:
None. The end. Just kidding.
1) A couple gameplay mechanics I would like changed are the social link system. I would want it to be more like the Persona 5 one where you don’t make a decision about dating someone until you reach the end of their social link. It gives you freedom to talk to more than one girl at a time. It would also be nice to have the ability to manually control your party. Atlus could also add some extra variety in the full moon boss areas. Something I really liked about Persona 5 is how unique each of the palaces are and that they have interesting puzzles.
2) Speaking of social links, I think it would be nice if they fleshed out the characters more. I already like most of them, but it would be nice if they had a little more personality. And....I know this is an unpopular opinion but I really don’t like Yukari all that much. She feels kind of....tsundere and that’s not a personality I like....but that one is just personal preference. They should also get rid of Vic McVoldemort as Junpei.
3) An update of graphics would be nice as well. It’s a PS2 game so it could stand to be upgraded a little in that department.
In conclusion: My biggest complaint about Persona 3 is the characters (minus the protag and best boy Koro-chan). I feel like they could have more personality. And while there are gameplay changes that I think would be nice....none of them are game breaking. Persona 3 has a nice replay feature where you get to keep your levels, stats, items, money, and compendium so if you beat it once, you can focus on the social links you missed. All the social links reset but if you max them out, the Personas resulting from that you get to keep.
In my opinion, Persona 5 has the best balance of good plot and good characters. Persona 3 has the BEST plot but it has weaker characters. I feel like all Atlus really has to do is tweak the characters a little and it would be their best game to date.
