I find the amount of shipping discourse in the hotd fandom so funny. I laughed especially hard at the people accusing ships of being problematic because. This is House of the Dragon. The dragons and backstabbing show. well, personally i dunno about love but there was definitely SOMETHING at first sight. Something that started as begrudging acknowledgement of each others (laced with tiny bit of attraction and irritation yeah) and then ignited slowly with years to mutual respect and warm acceptance and fascination
But yeah, they are attracted to e.o one way or another, and it's a thing i like to explore in my head - how they've come from "you are weak mutt from leaf, and you are freaky puppet boy from suna" to what i draw for them.

A way to make Inko be the bad guy without going to far into abuse territory is to make her be oblivious as fuck about the real nature of Bakugou.
Sorry this is just something I'm mulling over as the ‘equal opportunity asshole’ but really… If we go the fanon idea of Inko and Mitsuki being old friends, it's not hard to think Inko often puts Izuku with Bakugou and goes: awww just like us.
Parents are often extremely blind to things they don’t want to see. Inko not seeing that her son is very uncomfy with Bakugou and refuses to let Izuku but best friends with anyone BUT Bakugou is part of this.
We can even include the bit I said last night about Inko making Izuku date Bakugou. Some times parents do in fact force this kind of stuff, and I can see Inko just refusing to listen to her son. In canon I do think she's smothering towards Izuku, and often he's comforting her rather then her comforting him.
Inko being willingly blind to Bakugou’s bad traits because ‘oh look they're like us Mitsuki, best friends’ or ‘yay they're dating! We can be in-laws!’ Is very much something parents do.
Just thoughts.
