Yandere Master x Female Slave Reader

You where a slave of a very wealthy master who treated his slaves very well.
It was a peaceful life you did house work and looked after the pets and you were extremely lucky to have a kind master but the one downside to this peaceful life was Marcus your masters nephew who came to visit his uncle every summer.

He yelled in pain and you ran straight to ypu your master he told him about how Marcus had harassed you and he was not happy about it. He called Marcus in and they had a long conversation about it.

Alfred: Gasp a relationship between you two woud be poposturus and its clear she's not interested.

Marcus: You cant keep her away from me uncle!!!
Alfred: I said go.
After that Marcus didn't bother you for a while but good things dont last a week later your Master died of unknown causes and because he had no other family besides Marcus he got everything your master ownef including you.
From then on you were locked inside of the master bedroom where Marcus would "show you how much he loved you" if you know what I mean.
"My dear now you see I would even kill my own flesh and blood just to have you, now you belong to me."

Accessible BG3 Mods For The Visually Impaired!
As someone with a vision disability, I have a hard time reading small text, distinguishing menu options, and so on. So of course I stay on the look out for accessibility mods.
I'm gonna link some of the mods I use (and some that might just be useful) for other PC users that are struggling with vision issues with this game. Be sure to check the mod pages for specific installation instructions for each mod as well as any dependencies or compatibility issues with other mods.
Do note that these mods were compiled based on my own experiences with low vision, eye strain, and trouble distinguishing small objects/words so they may not be useful for everyone. If you have any suggestions for things to add to the list or if any links are broken, please let me know!

Haru + Notebook

A notebook, Haru thinks, is an odd gift for someone who can barely read or write.
Part of him wants to be annoyed because Eden should really know better than to give him something he can't use, but he can't bring himself to be upset. Eden sent this to him all the way from Canada after all, and that on its own means something.
The notebook is bigger than normal. It's at least twice the size of the ones Ryu and Senjirō like to write their lyrics in, and maybe three times the size of Taiji's journal. It's bound on the edge with a thin metal coil. The front cover has a picture of chrysanthemums, Haru's favourite flower. He smiles when he realizes Eden obviously remembered that.
He's still contemplating what he's meant to do with the large notebook when Taiji strolls into their room. Taiji glances over at him, where he's sprawled on his bed with the book in front of him.
"Nice scrapbook," Taiji comments.
Haru scrunches up his face in confusion. "Nice... what?"
"Scrapbook," Taiji repeats. "Where'd you get it?"
"Eden sent it to me in the mail," Haru tells him. "Scrapbook?"
"Yeah, you know," says Taiji. "You put your memories in it. Photos, old movie tickets, birthday cards... stuff like that. Or you can draw pictures in it."
"So, it's not for writing?"
"Well, you could write stuff in it if you wanted to, I guess, but there probably aren't any lines on the pages."
Haru flips up the cover of the scrapbook and discovers that Taiji is correct. There are no lines. The pages are a rich ivory colour, edged with a border of delicate pink in the same shade as the flowers on the front.
He looks up at Taiji, intrigued. "How did you know?"
"Uh... because it says 'scrapbook' on the cover," Taiji says.
"Oh."
Haru closes it and studies the cover again. There's text in fancy white letters at the top. The font is pretty, but Haru has no hope of decoding it, and decides he'll just have to take his friend's word that it says 'scrapbook'. He can barely read Japanese, his first language, at the best of times. Unless he's feeling particularly mentally sharp, he doesn't even try to tackle English, and even then he needs it to be written in nice big unambiguous fonts.
"Did Eden send you anything else?" Taiji asks.
"Yeah. He sent me a card with a note."
"Want me to read it to you?"
Haru nods. He picks up the card that was in the package with the scrapbook, and passes it to Taiji.
Eden has figured out by now that unless he sends an email or text which Haru can have his iPad's screen reader speak aloud to him, any written correspondence will have to be read to him by an actual person. He's learned to keep handwritten notes polite and clean, so as not to embarrass Haru or make things awkward for his designated reader.
In the note, Eden explained all about the purpose of the scrapbook, and said that he's started compiling some memories in one of his own.
"At the end he says 'I love you'." Taiji concludes.
Taiji hands the card back to him. He runs his fingertips over the image on the front, and smiles when he recognizes it as one of the note cards Eden had bought in Harajuku that summer when they'd visited Tokyo together. He loved showing Eden all around his home city, and he can hardly wait for the opportunity to travel to Canada, so Eden can show him around his own hometown.
A book to put your memories in. That's what Taiji had said.
Haru opens the card and gazes at Eden's painstakingly precise handwriting. He can decipher some of the words, and could probably read them all if he put the time and effort in. He's not too worried, though. The important ones, he knows immediately on sight; the kanji for his own name, the one for love, and Eden's name printed neatly in English letters.
He doesn't have to think too hard to decide what the first page of his new scrapbook will contain.

Hi there! I'm glad you like the NewsPrints series enough to support the little indie artbook I self-published over half a decade ago! I super appreciate it!
I don't think it's a silly question! This is actually kind of a semi-interesting story in book production, if you're interested in the backstory...
HeadLines was originally a limited print run (only 100 were sold), so it was easier to see the notes and art as spreads in a book you could flip through. After they sold out, I was asked to release it in digital, so I did. It sounds like the font size relative to the images is annoying in digital, though, which is a fair critique!
Unfortunately, 2015-16!Ru decided to use That font in That font size because it Looked Nice in print. I didn't even considered digital at the point, so this book is kind of a time capsule of my aesthetic decisions at that point of my life, the good ones and bad ones. x'D
(That reminds me, I remember the physical edition was $30 and personally signed and sealed. I'd be curious to see if any popped up on ebay over the years.)
The digital version is at screen resolution rather than print resolution to prevent someone from printing bootleg copies at the same quality as the official physical book after buying the PDF for $9. The best view size is around 100% in any PDF viewer, ideally on tablet or desktop. You might still have to zoom in a little to read it, though.

(The reason that the covers look like they're 2x higher in resolution is that they're actually twice as wide as the interior pages. The covers are 2-page spreads, but I didn't split them like I did the interiors. When the PDF viewer shrinks them to half their size to fit the PDF viewer's format, it does make the resolution seem twice as high, if that makes sense.
I should have probably also halved them so they looked like the interior spreads. You live and learn!)
TLDR: Sorry. The text-image layouts of the book were intentional for print reading, but they require some zooming in and out in digital resolution, but not too much past 100%.
Thank you again for the words of encouragement! I'm glad that Blue's world stuck with you for so long! Looking back at this project does evoke some ~Feelings~ and memories of growing pains. Next time I make another proper artbook like HeadLines, I'll use bigger fonts and/or get someone else to help me do the layouts!

Why i love honkai star rail as a disabled player, part 2
part one
alright time for part teo now that im properly into the game. Ive added it to my phone now so this will also cover the mobile. I also dont rememebr what i talked about the first time so forgive any repition
spoilers as usual
Mobile controls are so easy. Im sure i mentioned how intuitive the controls are but its the same for both pc and mobile (idk about any other platform). And its vwry easy to jump from one platform to another, no rememembering where buttons are kn different decices. As long as youve played videogames before it all makes sense.
The turn based stuff is still great. I love battling, and i hate numbers but ive actuslly gotten into my characters and their stats. Like, in what world? Its satisying seeing s character do an AoE and then everything dorps becaus elf the high damage output, turn base goves some nice opportunity to admire your work.
i will say im not into some of the outfits of the characters. Seele is a bit much for a girl livijg in an underground crazytown and Bronya's cloak looks like a safety hazard. Herta is msotly fine (a bit short but ig it work since shes basically in doll form) but March....honey please we walked through a freaking blizzard and you were the one in nothing but a sumeme dress. Did the ice make you immune??? Clara i can understand though, and i have heard Seele was based off her H3 design but still. Some of those outifts look a little inlpractical....then again its a gacha game where the main selling poitnsbare "lookat out cool characters". And i like the male trailblazers ourfit mroe then the male traveller from Genshin
music. Omg i love the music so much. You dont even knwo. Ive been singing the melodies all weekened. Its gonan be one of those legendary themes i think
font size. Good on Pc, wish it was slightly bigger kn mobile esspecislly for some stuff where being sble to see the words is usually a good thing.
Pom pom. Unlike Paimon, they are not mildly annoying and are very cute. They need to be protected at all costs especislly from the memory guardian person. The Breakfast light cone is just so funny too lol. This has nothign to do with the design or anything i just needed to say jt.
even as a FTP player its actually pretty easy to get stuff if you dont mind apending a few mintues or an hour chasing down a frw achivements even just playing the mossions can nab you the premium currency and the grind is the least annoying thing ive played since Monster Super League (which was annoying but was the point kf the game so i couldnt fault it). And dont forget the freebies and gifts! And level rewards! And 50 other things!
Traces. Relics, and light cones are all vpretry intuitive menus. Took me a hot minute to figure out how tk level up a character but now i got it. As long as you know vaguely what atats you need ktsball good.
thats all i really have for now, ill make a part three if j think of more. I did want to add that if you have shaky hands, not having to aim March's bow or aim for an enemy and just tap where the enmh is in the turn based is so much ncier.

I bought a kobo clara 2e. I wanted the smallest ereader I could find that was a reasonable price and also waterproof because I like to read in the bathtub and I am not immune to dropping things in the water. have ruined more than one book that way, have also ruined a nintendo switch that way.
the kobo ecosystem is not bad in terms of ereaders if you exclusively buy your ebooks from the kobo store. the kobo store is better than the amazon ebook store imo bc it lets you download drm-free versions of your purchases without having to go through any conversions, which I don't think is true of the kindle store.
kobo also lets you upload your own epubs and pdfs to the ereader from your computer pretty easily (you can add them like you would to a flash drive or you can use something like calibre to manage your library for you). there have been a few times when I've plugged my kobo into my computer and it hasn't automatically connected so I had to disconnect and reconnect it but then it worked fine. so it can be finicky but ultimately you should be able to get it.
the software that actually opens the ebooks and that you read with is actually different based on whether it's an epub in the kobo format (the filename will end with .kepub.epub) or literally anything else. kepubs will support more features, like annotations and faster page flips and easy word lookups in dictionaries (especially useful for reading the locked tomb which is Full of vocab words). you can also actually make changes the the font type and size. whereas anything else it just displays and doesn't let you highlight, annotate, or select text text. you can zoom in on things, but that's about it.
the good news is there are a lot of tools that let you turn things into kepubs. I currently use a plugin you can get for calibre, but I'm thinking about trying kepubify bc some of the epubs I've downloaded have turned into funky formatting with the calibre plugin.
right now my kobo clara 2e downsides are 1) device is still bigger than I'd like*, 2) kepub vs other file formats thing is mildly annoying, 3) can't buy ebooks from kobo store via app on my phone, have to either buy from kobo website or from my ereader, 4) screen is often less sensitive than I'm used to with other touch screen devices (this may just be an ereader thing), 5) I can't send books to my kobo wirelessly unless I've purchased them in the kobo store (idk if this is something I could do for other ereader systems, I haven't looked).
*there aren't really any devices from any of the major ereader brands with screens smaller than 6in (which is what the clara 2e has). I also looked at the xiaomi inkpalm 5, which does appear to be an ideal size for me, but you have to do some annoying command line shit to get it running in english and it doesn't appear to be waterproof. I may look into it again if I get sick enough of not having my ereader actually fit in my pants pockets. you could also get an eink phone and use it as an ereader, but they're phone prices instead of ereader prices, and most of them have the same language support issues the xiaomi has. the other thing I looked at is the open book project and the m5 paper which are both diy ereader kits and I'm more inclined to fuck with one of those than the xiaomi if I decide to do something more fun in the future, but I don't have the bandwidth for that right now.
kobo also supports integration with overdrive so you can check out library books, but I have recently discovered my library card is expired and bc I'm sick I haven't gone in to get a new one yet so I have no idea what that looks like and whether or not reading library ebooks uses the good reader (like with kepubs) or the no features reader.
one last annoying thing is the kobo store on the reader keeps trying to tell me to subscribe to kobo plus, which is basically like spotify premium but for ebooks and/or audiobooks. but not all titles ever are included so I haven't really looked into it v much bc rn I've found what I wanted to read through other methods (shout out to standardebooks.org)
anyway overall I would say I'd recommend it if your use case is exactly the same as mine, which is I wanted something small to read in the bath and carry around to hopefully replace my doomscrolling habit with reading like I used to when I was a kid, and it so far has been mildly successful. I did start wearing a fanny pack on a regular basis so that way I could actually carry it around everywhere like my phone, but even with a fanny pack I don't think you could fit something much bigger than 6-7in screen, so I'm not sure anything else would work. if you wanted a bigger ereader, I know someone else who has one of the larger kobos (not sure which one, we don't talk super often) and seems p happy w it. I briefly entertained the idea of getting one from kobo w a stylus and using that to take notes in class bc I saw some people in the ereader subreddit say they liked using it for that, and then I remembered I have an ipad and apple pencil to do that exact thing already and I'm already really happy w that setup.

A different point of view
For this project we had to pick 2 books that had nothing to do with each other and take 3 lines from each and combine them into one story. We then had to make an outcome to represent this new story.
Source A- VILE BODIES-Chris Downsend

I’m not dealing with the perfect body, I'm dealing with another kind of truth, that is how the body really is and why don't we accept it, because that's our norm.

My story ended up being much darker and sad than I was intending however this inspired my colour palate - red, white and black. I used this colour palate for all my outcomes and it represents the morbid meanings behind the book. The black to represent the darkness of the book, the red to represent the blood and pain throughout the book and white to represent the hope of change in the line " I’m not dealing with the perfect body, I'm dealing with another kind of truth, that is how the body really is".

I really like how he draws bodies that aren't complete which gives them a kind of messy vibe which I wanted to use in my art to represent that body are ruining and messing up their bodies whilst trying to achieve the perfect body. This link to the line "bloody butchery", I also like his use of lines on the body, this made me think of the line "She would draw lines on her body-like those drawn by a cosmetic surgeon prior to an operation"

I really like this one however I would've done the writing bigger or in a thicker pen as It is a little hard to read. I like how this one had no facial features as it brings more focus on the body and the meaning of the book is about people focusing so much on their bodies they are destroying it. It also represents that people are more focused on how peoples bodies look than their personality.
I really like this one as the girls look happy and unaware of the bloody finger prints around them and the knife hovering behind them. It shows they are unaware how they're destroying their bodies to fit in to the social standards. I like the font I used however it is a bit wonky which annoys me so I would fix that if I were to do it again.
This was my most direct outcome from the story. I was inspired by the line "She would draw lines on her body-like those drawn by a cosmetic surgeon prior to an operation and then try to diet until the outline of her body fell within these imaginary, ideal contours." I really like the red against the black, it makes it stand out. I really like the font however it got a bit squished at the end.

hi im not dead lol can you believe it
i have! been slooooooowly chipping away at chapter 10 lol its been awhile since ive been into this series so the motivation is significantly lower but i still do wanna finish at least book 1 bc my god im so close like i have to
other fun fact my friend mentioned the font was kinda small on my blog and i realized she was totally right and while i still like it that way for default i also !! added a setting to make it bigger!
u can click the + here up to 3 times and i think it gets pretty big?!?! so like if anyone still looks at my blog u can tell me if u want more options.. and i can add them !! (probably) also its sticky just like the dark mode so if u reopen the page or go to different pages it should stay the same size u chose
also i moved that button and the toggle dark mode button to the bottom left bc i was getting annoyed about tumblr having the dumb icons that show up above in the top but then like.. when they hide then my toggle button is like still leaving the space... it looks bad so i fixed it!
but yeah some like blog updates that hopefully make the site more accessible!! let me know.. if theres any issues it is not the cleanest system so like there might definitely be issues !! or just if theres other things that would make it easier i really want this site to be like clean and easy to read for anyone since it is literally to host my translations aka text so yeah !!

City life au facts
I am announcing that from four all the way up to six years old that Antonio is a professional vet. Bruno noticed that Antonio liked animals so he bought him all the vet and animal books he could find.
Antonio usually reads the books with one of his siblings or dad so he can learn how to pronounce some words but he's learning how to pronounce some things on his own.
2. The kids have a mixture of each other's gifts because they help with missions and life-or-death situations. And who doesn't want to talk to animals, grow exotic flowers, be able to lift a house, or hear when an enemy is approaching miles away? The hearing gift isn't annoying it can only turn on when someone really needs it
3. The shape-shifting, super strength, and superhearing only activate for emergencies. The flower and Zoolinguism gifts are constant because they live in a house full of animals and therefore need to communicate with them. Isabela is mostly the only one to use her plant gift but the others will use it if they want a certain flower or need to reach something.
4. Mirabel spends her days building very colorful steampunk machines and since she was given the gift of superspeed instead of taking months to build a machine it only takes her about 3 weeks. The size of it doesn't matter. When it comes to regular days she can't use superspeed at all. The only time she can use it is when she's building something or when it's an emergency. Mirabel has made a ship, and a train(along with Luisa), a submarine, guns, and much more.
5. The other family members fancy building things as well. Antonio built mechanic mice so the big cats have something to follow when it's time to go to the barn. Dolores built her own car and Expresso machines, Isabela built many explosive devices, Luisa built and designed a literal train and Camilo made a typewriter that can produce any font and any color ink you want. He made one for himself and
(Luisa also makes toys for kids)
6. I'm gonna change the ages a little bit. Bruno left a little before Mirabel was born and the girls walked into his home a little after she and Camilo were born(they were both 6 months old). I'm changing it because these kids need a lot more time to build half of the things I've mentioned.
7. Whenever they come across a kid without parents or a kid with terrible parents the family scoop them right up and claim them as their own or take them to the orphanage where Luisa volunteers. But it's safe to say the Aventura's are a way bigger family than they were.
8. Bruno and the others teach the kids at the orphanage about everything their is to know about plants, animals, Self defense, math, writing, acting, art, science, and Robotic/mechanical engineering. They try to make it a fun learning experience for them and they always succeed. They also teach abroad.
9. When Luisa was 12 she volunteered to work at the orphanage and never left sense. When she gets older she plans on adopting.
10. I switched it to Mirabel making the doll when she was 11 so Casita could grow up and learn with Antonio and the rest of them. He looked 1 year old but he could move like a 5-year-old. It baffled everybody that still doesn't/don't know Casita was a sentient house. Casita didn't care how they looked they were just happy that they can move around on their own.
11. Doll/toddler casita stayed with Bruno a lot. Casita didn't realize that they weren't being the responsive house they were so whenever Alma or the other adults asked for something they wouldn't get a response. And once they did realize it they didn't care, what's Alma or the adults going to do about it? nothing. they responded when they wanted to or when their siblings were in the house.
12. If Antonio can't help an animal the others will step in.
13. The older kids are amazing cooks but will sometimes fool around in the kitchen just for laughs.

Hi there
If you’re reading this post, that probably means I sent it to you because you asked me how this website works.
So, welcome to hellsite known as tumblr. Buckle up and enjoy the ride. Also as a disclaimer, I haven’t used this thing since 2016 so I’m not fully up to snuff on how this website functions nowadays, but I know the basics.
This will be a small guide to all my mutuals on twitter who might be looking into getting on this site should twitter decide to crash and burn, so lets start going down the list of things to know about this site...
1: This is a “blogging” site
Tumblr was created as an easy way to make a blog for yourself in the mid to late 2000s in a time were blogging was the hip and trendy thing to do. The website has sort of shifted towards a bigger general social media influence since it’s inception, but because of it’s origins it has a few advantages over twitter.
These include:
The ability to use formatting stuff in your posts (like this bullet list)
Basically infinite post length
Fully customizable user-pages with htlm/css/javascript magic
The ability to use more than 4 images in a single post
Unrelated but tumblr compression is less shitty than twitter.
There are downsides to this however. Often times people will use custom layouts for their page, but the html/css will be fucked and the fonts will be incredibly small. These layouts might also be missing various QoL features that the default layout has. Since post length is essentially infinite, you will probably be met with word walls every now and again. Web dev wizards will also usually find ways to make their text float away from their post, or crash your timeline every 2 or 3 weeks. This kinda just happens.
2: How the fuck do these posts work
Some people I’ve talked with are confused about who made a post or how it’s getting on their timeline. I’ll use a diagram to explain instead of words.
Got it? cool. It should also be noted that whenever you reblog something, you’re basically quote-tweeting it, or starting a thread. it’s weird. If you’re coming from twitter though, so long as you just press the reblog button and don’t do anything else (except for adding tags), it’s more or less the equivalent of a retweet.
If someone does want to ‘quote-tweet’ it/start a thread, you add your own text to your reblog. It’ll look like this to others:
This can be a little annoying at times because you’re more or less adding to the entire post for everyone who rbs your version to see. tl;dr, unless you’re a genius in comedy or you have something actually important to add, please just don’t.
3: Tagging
I mentioned tagging in the last post so lemme explain. Tags are weird as hell because people use them in a few different ways.
People use tags as normal hashtags
People use tags to sort their content
People use tags as a way to quietly “comment” on posts
Explained:
1) Having a not so in your face hashtag feature is really nice, so people often use it a lot more to garner attention on their posts, as people like searching specific tags like #birds, #furry, or something of the like
2) In addition to searching the website for tags, can also filter your posts on your blog using tags. So, if you’re say an artist, you could make a tag like #myart or
#[oc name here] so people interested in your content can more easily find that specific content. It’s a really useful feature!
3) Tags as comments has been a thing people have used for a long time on this site. If you only use this site to chronically reblog stuff and not make your own posts, this is basically your usual way of communicating anything to your followers. Since you don’t add to the post when you comment with tags, it’s essentially tumblr’s reply system. Tumblr added a reply feature a few years back, but people tend to not really like it for whatever reason, so just be wary that certain users will just have the normal reply feature off because of this.
4: Asks
Tumblr has an “ask me anything” feature which can be enabled/disabled. Someone who gets on your blog page will see it if it’s enabled and can just ask you a question. If you’re wary about people being mean to you for no reason I’d suggest turning off anon-asks. But also know that if some shithead is hiding behind anon to harass you they’re a fucking dweeb and a coward because they can’t face you head on.
5: I forgor 💀
I don’t really remember other details about this site!! Thems just the basics!!!!! Hi, I hope this won’t bother you.. I was wondering if you would consider making a mini tutorial on how to blend gifs? You’re so good at it 🥹 it’s okay if you can’t tho!

what you'll need:
photoshop (doesn't matter if it's the extended version or not)
a basic gif-making knowledge
Okay, so I thought I'd first show the technical process and then I'd get into some general tips on how to make the blending appear more effortlessly😊
To start off, you'll need the two gifs you want to blend together. For this tutorial I chose these two I made (from my latest gifset):
PUTTING TWO GIFS INTO ONE
Once you got them all colored, sharpened and saved, open the first gif, in my case, the close up. (if you already know how to put two gifs into one, you can skip ahead)
Now, group all of the layers of the first gif together (make sure you've got the same amount of frames for each gif). To do so, select each layer in the layers panel (click on the first layer, hold SHIFT and click on the last layer), right click and select "Group from layers", then give it a funky name (I'll call mine "close up").
IMPORTANT: do not skip this step! otherwise it's gonna get really confusing which layers belong to which gif.
After you've done that, click on the three little stripes in the top right corner of your animation window and select "Select all frames".
Now that we've done that, we're going to open our second gif and to the exact same steps: Select all layers > Group from Layers (I called mine "far away") and then select all frames. When you've done that, you're going to click on the three stripes again and and then select "copy frames".
Next, go back to your first gif, click on the three stripes again and select "paste frames". In the window that pops up, select "Paste over selection". It should now look like this:
BLENDING THE GIFS
Now we of course cannot see the first ("close up") gif anymore. That's where layer masks and blending come into play. But before I start with any of that, I like to roughly arrange the gifs already. I know my "far away" gif still needs to go further to the right so that it doesn't cover up Nick's face in the close up. So, I'll click on my "far away" group, then on Edit > Transform > Scale (I do NOT simply use the move tool because if I don't use timeline it for some reason only ever moves the first frame, so I'd have to move each frame individually which would be very annoying). Then I'll move it around until I like the position.
Now, I'll add a layer mask to my second gif ("far away"). To do so, I'll click on the little icon in the layers panel with the circle in the middle (make sure your second gif is selected when you do so!).
It should now look like this. Make sure the layer mask (the white rectangle) is selected and then click onto your pen tool.
Then, (and this is really the most important step) select a fluffy brush from the panel and make sure you use a size between 300 and 400, so that the blending appears softer.
and now you can just blend the second gif ("far away") however you like! Select the black color (which removes parts of your second gif) and paint around.
Now, I've, for example, noticed that the placement of the gifs is still not optimal (the "far away" gif covers too much of Nick's face), so I move the "close up" gif more to the left (Edit > Transform > Scale while having selected the first group) . Just play aroud with it (you can also return parts of your "far away" gif by using the white-colored brush) until you're happy!
This is my result (without any font):
SOME GENERAL TIPS:
I always make both of my gifs the same size. You can always downsize the second gif, if necessary, but if it's too small in the first place and you need it bigger (aka you need to scale it up), the quality of your second gif will decrease
What's really useful is to think about where you want to place the two gifs before you blend them together. In my case, I knew I wanted the "close up" gif to be on the left and the "far away" gif to be on the right, so when I was making them I already cropped them so that Nick is more to the left/right respectively
you can basically blend any two gifs together but it is useful if they are similarly colored! this often helps the blending look even more smooth
a new favorite way of blending two gifs together that I've recently discovered is just putting the second gif on top of the first one and setting the blending mode of the second gif to screen (I used this technique for example in my 'driving home 2 u' gifset). Then, you can just erase any weird spots on the first gif (e.g. light flickers) that occurred while blending by using the layer mask on the second gif again. (this works especially well if the first gif has a darker area! in my So it Goes... gifset I took advantage of that and put my second gif solely over the dark areas of my first gif)
it also helps if at least the person/people in one of the gifs doesn't/don't move around too much

Goodbye, Lenovo IdeaPad u430 Touch. Hello, Samsung Notebook Pro 9.
Laptop upgrade pros and cons:
+/- Mostly better specs, except less storage space (but should be enough for me)
+/- Beautiful display, though colors a tad too saturated for my taste - but I can change that
+ Slightly bigger screen
+ More balanced vertical/horizontal proportions
+ Screen positioned closer to eye level, so less looking down
+ Basically everything about the top half of the laptop
- Old laptop had the most perfect keyboard ever - keys pleasingly shaped, perfectly sized, beautifully laid out, and heavenly to type on - and now I’m going to be slightly resentful of every other laptop that inevitably fails to live up to that standard
- The black keys against the bright silver was a nicer look (and the contrast made things easier on the eyes without using backlighting), and the shiny border around the trackpad was nice, and the white power indicator light was less annoying than the blue
- The power button is awkwardly positioned on this one
- The smooth rounded sides were more comfortable than the annoying raised edge
- More visible fingerprints, dust and dirt on this one
- Basically everything about the bottom casing
+ Less distracting prettiness makes it easier to just focus on the screen
- Higher resolution makes text look skinnier and I don’t like that; wish standard fonts would get updated so they look on high-resolution screens the way they did on old ones
+ Nice bendable-every-way screen + S Pen features
+ Hopefully sturdier hinges, given both the higher-endness of this laptop and the fact that they’re made to be turned all kinds of ways. These were the downfall of my old laptop, along with the my-fault coffee spill on precious, precious keyboard
= Shiny screen, as touchscreens tend to be, which looks very nice but is hard on the eyes
+ Touchscreen still works perfectly with anti-glare screen on, unlike old laptop’s
+ Fast! I was amazed to find that Adobe Premiere Pro loaded in like six seconds (as opposed to three minutes)
+ Runs quieter
+ A little lighter despite bigger size
+ Better trackpad, but I mostly use a mouse anyway
+ Charger goes on left side, so no annoying cable on right side when using mouse
+ Things plug into ports more sturdily; less chance of accidental pulling out
- Worse sound! I’m surprised by how much worse the sound is given that this is a higher-end laptop. My old one also had downward-firing speakers but still sounded good. This one doesn’t sound good no matter what way I position it
- Another annoying operating system transition, but nothing like going from Windows XP to Windows 8. I don’t know yet if I’ll keep Windows 10 or downgrade
- More annoying gimmicky stuff that I’ll have to figure out how to disable
- Less pleasant name

Website
I just updated my website to give a bigger focus to both this—brand new—blog and my Medium blog. I’d like to start posting a bit more at both of these locations and a bit less at my Mastodon account. There certainly isn’t anything wrong with Mastodon, but I feel like the entire microblogging format just lends itself to too many hot-takes rather than thoughts which have actually been fully developed, even if a desire to avoid any sort of significant writing process was part of the reason why I set up this blog in the first place. We’ll see how it all pans out.
What was neat about these changes to my site is that they were all made from my iPad as I continue to try to make my iPad my sole personal computing device. I could easily clone the repo for my site to my VPS and modify it from there, but I instead just opted to use the web editor built into GitLab. This works fairly well for small changes like modifying a few lines of my site, though I don’t think I’d want to use it for anything substantial. It also doesn’t offer a lot of value when writing scripts since I can’t actually execute them, but for a basic, static website it works well enough. The only real downside is that I can’t see any of my changes until I commit them and Cloudflare Pages publishes the new version.
This is a bit annoying when I’m not exactly sure how things are going to look. For example, when I initially changed the Mastodon Font Awesome icon on my site to be replaced by a Tumblr icon and Medium icon, I initially took the “standard” icons for each of them. Once I actually saw them, however, having the Tumblr logo as the standalone “T” next to the Medium icon in a square looked absolutely terrible. I immediately had to make another commit where I changed the Tumblr icon. It’s not a huge ordeal, but it’s a little annoying when I could have just tested this locally if I wasn’t using an iPad for everything.
