-Shouldve been a peaceful day is what Ultra Magnus thinks

-A pod had hit the Lost light and some of the crew brought it in to check it

-Least they expect is a LITERAL SPARKLING being in there

-You were just beeping clicking at the bots you see, meanwhile said bots were either confused, baffled, or concerned

-Ratchet was the one who first pick you up and went to the med bay to make sure you were fine, First aid following behind him

-Soon some other bots went to the med bay while the rest went back doing their own things

-After Ratchet made sure you were alright, he lets the other bots see you

-Rodimus made himself known to you, in the most uh...bizarre way possible and that is by startling you so bad you smacked him on the faceplate

-Not hard enough to hurt him but enough to make a pretty loud noise and for him to reel back in surprise

-Ultra Magnus only sighed at him while Drift approached you next, gently carrying you while you clicked and reached out your servo to his intake

-Save to say he wasnt expecting you to pry his mouth open 💀

"Aww what a cute sparkl- WHA-" Drift was about to exclaim but you parted his intake open as Rodimus laughs in the background. "HAHA I wasn't expecting a sparkling to be that strong to pry your intake open" Rodimus cackled out as he laughs loudly.

-Next we haveee Gramps- I MEAN MEGATRON the M in Gramps stands for Megatron /j

-Megatron would probably hesitate a bit but after some reassuring, he'd want to hold you

-Stiff as a rock but would try to relax his hold on you, would crack a smile or cry if you decided to coo at him (do it /hj)

-I just think he'd be really stiff even Drift would tell him to loosen up a bit 😭

Day 23 of Kinktober: Running Away With Ponyboy Curtis

Pairing: Ponyboy Curtis x fem!reader

Y/N’s POV

Ponyboy’s life has been hard since his parents accident, his older brother accusing him in shit that doesn’t involve him, struggling with bills, and the socs.

I’m a soc but I hate a lot of the people who are in the socs, Cherry’s boyfriend Bob, he’s such an asshole to me and of course, the greasers. Some socs are sweet except for some.

One night, Dally, Pony, Johnny, and I went to the drive-in. We go to the seats and I see Cherry with Marcia and I sit next to them. Dallas starts to flirt with Cherry, Johnny, Pony, and I kept on telling Dallas to stop harassing her and of course Dallas ignores us. Eventually Dallas leaves, so Ponyboy and Johnny sits next to us. I feel safe around Pony but a lot of docs say that the greasers are dangerous, I know them some are dangerous but some aren’t and that the gang I know. Dallas comes back with food and drinks, he gives Cherry throws her drink at him and things get heated, Dallas tries to harass her again, Johnny tells him to stop, Dallas gets pissed off and he looked like he was about to beat something or someone but he walked away.

Eventually, the girls, Ponyboy, Two-bit, Johnny and I leave the drive-in and the socs came to us to start trouble.

“Y/N!? What are doing?” Randy says.

“Being with someone who isn’t you guys.” I said.

Bob and Randy look so pissed but Cherry stops them, Cherry tells us we can leave so we leave. Ponyboy takes me home, of course my parents are pissed that I missed my curfew, which it’s fucking stupid.

3 AM

I hear pebbles on my window so I go check who it is and it’s Ponyboy looking upset. I unlock my window and see what’s going on.

“Pony what’s the matter?” I whisper.

“Darry, he hit me. Run away with me.” He says.

“But, what about my parents?” I look behind me.

“I can’t go anywhere without you Y/N/N, please run away with me.” He says.

I look at him, I’m sorry mom and dad, I love you but, Ponyboy needs me. I grab a jacket and Pony catches me from the window and we ran to a park and I see a mustang in the distance, I hope to god it’s not the socs.

I see Bob, Randy, and the other guys I forgot their names walking towards us. Ponyboy protects me from them, shit goes down by Pony almost getting drowned and I almost get sexually assaulted. I get crazy by grabbing a knife and stabbed Bob, I stabbed my best friend’s boyfriend. Pony wakes up and he looks at me with some blood on me and he looks to see Bob dead.

“Y/N, what happened?” Pony asked.

“He tried to kill you and he tried to sexually harass me, so I killed him, I’ve never done this before.” I shakily said.

“We need to get out of here.” He said.

“But where?” I ask.

“I know where to go.” He says.

I believe him. We go to the bar where Dally lives and we tell him everything on what happened a couple hours ago. Dally takes us to his bedroom and he gives us clothes which surprisingly felt so warm. Dal tells us where to go to an abandoned church, so we go to where he said where to go. While we were in the train car, I almost fell asleep in Pony’s arms. He woke me up to tell me we’re at the location where the church is at. I made Pony ask a farmer where the church is and finally got to it. To be honest, I love abandoned places, but I hope we don’t get caught but we’re in the middle of nowhere.

“I’m glad that we’re finally alone.” I say looking around.

“I’ve been wanting to be alone with you for a long time.” He wraps his arms around my waist.

I look at his face and I see those doe eyes, I love him but my parents and the socs think he’s dangerous because of who he’s hanging out with but some of them are so sweet. Pony kisses me, I kiss him back, I turn my body to face him, he holds me tight to make us lay on the floor to make out, we were like this for hours, him giving me hickeys, me moaning, him kissing my body, and me tugging his hair.

While we were there, we dyed our hair, I turned mine into black color and I turned his hair blonde, which he looks cute in blonde without greasy hair.

Dallas visits us and gives Pony a letter from Soda. Dallas tells me that there’s missing posters of me everywhere in town, I can’t believe that’s happening. Dallas takes us to Dairy Queen which I really miss the food. We go back to the church which is on fire. Pony and I save the kids.

We go to the hospital and Pony and I are at the waiting room and Darrel and Sodapop come in so Pony ran to them. My parents come in and they look disgusted on what they’re seeing, my changed hair and seeing Ponyboy looking beat up.

My parents kick me out so the Curtis’ said it’s okay for me to live in with them. Again I’m happy that I’m with Ponyboy, he just makes me so happy and he makes me feel safe.

do you have any tips for an artist who wants to start making one off comics? i really enjoy your artistic direction and style of story telling so i’m very interested in your thoughts on it

yes, definitely!!

-read lots of comics! and a variety of them, too--both ones in the sort of genre/style you'd like to make, but also ones in completely different genres, lengths, places of origin, traditionally/indie/digitally published, simple to experimental formatting, etc

-in relation to the last one, if a comic you read really speaks to you, take some time to study some page layouts from that comic! how do the panels vary from page to page? how much space is the text taking up? what sort of "shots" (to borrow from cinematic language lol) are they using? these shouldn't be fancy, just little thumbnails, but i find it really helps. here's a few i did from a guest in the house by emily carroll

-start smalllll. its really important to build up your stamina, just like with any new sort of skill. if you wanna make a graphic novel thats 200+ pages long, you should make some comics that are 1, 20, 50 pages long and see them through to the end before taking on a super big project.

-this is related to the last point, but i think keeping your cast of characters small at first can also help build up your comic stamina. signals was the first longer comic i made, so i specifically really wanted to focus on just jeanne (and occasionally her parents and peers when they showed up)

-character sheets are helpful, but i also think the easiest way to start getting your characters drawn consistently is through actually drawing the comic! there's also gonna be panels where they look "off" or whatever, and its literally fine, i promise

-through the smaller comics, experiment with how you go about writing your story! theres no right or wrong way to write/plan out a story so, it takes some trial and error to figure out what will work best with your work flow. for me, i've found success in making a timeline of events for the story -> loosely guessing how many pages i'll need/want per section of the story -> freewriting (trying not to edit too much, just dumping all the words out) -> thumbnailing/loose sketching/editing text (all sort of happens in the same step; i find i need the layouts in front of me to understand what i need/don't need from the text i wrote) -> tight sketching -> final . but, if that flow doesn't work for you, try something else! i know a lot of comics people find success in writing a script first, with indications of page and panel-by-panel breakdowns

-take shortcuts often and without guilt. its a lot of work to make a comic! theres just a lot of drawings involved, that most people aren't gonna look at for very long! i especially recommend for infrequent/difficult things, like buildings or crowds or cars or bookcases, using some sort of 3d asset/brush to make your life easier. if you can reuse a drawing and change the crop/expression, do it!

-use some sort of tracker to track your progress on how many pages you've sketched/inked/finished. even if you don't have an external deadline, i think it's still good to give yourself some sort of timeline to work on (i recommend setting "ideal" goals and "realistic" goals, especially if you're working/still in school/etc). for signals, i used google sheets, because you can set up columns to be attached to little circle charts, so as you check off your progress, you can really easily see how much you've done/how much you have left to do (as i type this i highkey forget how i did that before, with signals, so...you might need to do some sheets experimentation to actually do this lol. but there's probably other trackers you can use too)

-understanding comics and making comics by scott mccloud are both great books, highly recommend them (easy to get second hand/from your library/🏴‍☠️)

Klaus: idk what it is, but something tells me this would distress Klaus so much it would finally unlock Normal Klaus who's actually focused on survival over being clever and rude. Magic to get warm, etc etc, but somehow the whole situation doesnt' even register with him as an Opportunity. Not until he's half asleep curled up next to Io, anyway.

Connie: not having any of it. builds a fire and gives Io the heaviest blanket in the hopes it'll keep them still for once. Intends on sleeping by the door for safety reasons, but if Io plays their cards right (whines and huffs) they can begrudgingly convinced to get closer. Just to shut Io up, of course

Kat: ugh, how dreadful :/ Has absolutely zero qualms about stripping out of her soaked clothing and wrapping herself in a blanket, though. Not even in a seductive way- she just simply doesn't care, and would probably be surprised if Io does. She'll fully take the opportunity to make Io blush if she thinks she can get away with it, but otherwise it's just business as usual. Want to play cards? She's found an old bottle of whiskey that's probably not poison.

Val: hates the cold so being warm and dry is the utmost priority. Depending on your Io, being close and cozy with Val is probably pretty normal, but if it's not, Val will be careful to not make a big deal out of it. If Io seems hesitant or shy, they won't hesitate to make themself the baby that needs to be taken care of. you k now, as an excuse

ASKINN FOR POSTERITY hope this is ok, i have a character of mine named yves i played forra while and campaign been ended but i wanted to check on you with hair! or honestly anything you can point out, my biggest thing was WITH his hair. you got any advice about bigger locs and how those would be taken care of in terms of care regiment? in the future he does start installing beads, but im wondering how the logistic would work with locs as thick as his, that and he struggles with personal upkeep. i know frizz would be an issue but are there other things he'd need to worry about? tho now i know imma need actual refs for hair in the future coz dam i was freeballing the stuff when i kno i shouldnt haveee 😭ty in advance! again if theres anything abt the design thats iffy or needs work besides hair, lmk!!!

First of all, I adore your art style. Like wow I really like this! It's what I like about sketching with a pencil versus a pen. This is so cool! I also really love his design, like what a guy! I wanna be his friend!

Uh, tbh, these looks more like twists to me than locs lmao. The lines going through them visually suggests looser twists. Locs are far tighter and stiffer. That being said, I actually think he should keep the twists! I think it's a cool design. As for beads, he'd just have to find larger beads, it's not impossible. Call it character design.

But I mean... Unless we're talking wicks, a specialized style of locs which you can look up the hair care regiment for specifically, locs are locs. It's gonna be the same care as I've discussed in lessons previously, though the amount of hair that goes into each loc will change depending on the size.

Um, keeping his scalp oiled and sprayed with water so that it's not dry. That's important. Keeping them clean since they're so large. Not getting them wet often, because they could get dry rot in the middle, especially at that size.

girl i gotchu on how to do the colored text thingy !! (it's actually pretty easy if i explain it properly). so basically what you do is that there are many other websites where you can do gradient text, but i mostly prefer this website since it's more convenient. once u click on da link you add the text n type whateva you want, after that you get to choose on step 2 on how do you want your text to be (ex. if you want a solid color press on solid, if you want a gradient text then pick on gradient, etc etc.)

and on step 3 u know what to do, play around with colors until you are satisfied with what you haveee!! for step 4 i don't use it that much bc i don't have anything to add as an extra (you can choose to ignore it or just play around !!!).

okie this one is the important part that you have to do, do not copy the bbcode for text!! copy the html code!! then you open tumblr and make a draft, click on the settings icon and spot where it says text editor. once u clicked that you press html and it will show some coding shit on the draft (idk how to explain it :[ ), but then you paste the code that you copied off of the website and then later on save it as a draft, then you'll see your result in no time !

I wasn't there at the time, but it was rec'd to me years after, and from the Afterword, I gather it had a huge following. Years ago when I was thinking about writing TF fic, I asked a friend for an example of a well-done story, so I could get a sense of what was out there. TF is a daunting franchise to write for (or it felt that way at the time). Friend rec'd this. I read it (most of it, there was a party scene I skipped through), put my head on the desk, and thought, "I will never write something this good." I put off writing fic for a year because I thought I'd never be able to write something as complex and emotional. One of the chapters in this fic is the BEST writing I've ever seen in anything ever. It's not my favorite scene. It is the best scene. I won't say which one it is, because its power comes in part from being read properly in the story. But like. Holy shit, dude. So by my friend's rec, and things I've seen here and there, and the Afterword, I gather this fic had a huge audience at the time. I read it once and I will probably never read it again because of the aforementioned tags (it's too depressing for me), but I do occasionally go back and read That One Chapter to enjoy all its layers of meaning and amazingness. So if those warnings/tags don't put you off, and you don't mind depressing stories, you might like this one.

Side note: I PUT OFF WRITING FOR A YEAR BECAUSE I COMPARED MYSELF TO THIS FIC. If you like my writing and perhaps compare yourself to it, I get it, but don't let my work stop you from practicing and growing. Imagine how much better my writing could be if I hadn't lost a year going "weh." Don't lose time to comparing yourself to others!

And I Alone Have Escaped To Tell You by astolat

I learned this fic existed because I saw tumblr posts talking about it and a friend of mine drew a really pretty fan art for it. It def had a fanbase when it came out :D Astolat is a great writer (if you know, you know why). I have read this fic. It didn't grab me as much as it grabbed others, though another of her TF fics had some amazing and haunting worldbuilding and I still think about it sometimes.

ok ok this post is getting long but there's one more fic I'll rec:

🔞Working Through It by Trinary

Trinary is a great author. Actually, scrolling through their fic list to find this one, I see their stories have tons of hits. I highly rec you check them out :D anyway, I distinctly remember people talking about this particular fic when it came out. It's very much 🔞, it's pretty short but it packs in so much worldbuilding and characterization and weird/awesome 🔞 in a tiny space. I highly rec you follow Trinary on tumblr/twitter/everywhere/anywhere: they post rather infrequently but it's always really astute observations/commentary on stuff.

So yeah I suppose "I saw people talking about it" is an arbitrary guideline, but... yeah! These are some fics I know had a strong fan response in their day :)
