Let them judge you. Let them misunderstand you. Let them gossip about you. Their opinions aren't your problem. You stay kind, committed to love, and free in your authenticity. No matter what they do or say, don't you dare doubt your worth or the beauty of your truth. Just keep on shining like you do.

I fear it's a vital part of growing up: our views and opinions change and people we've known forever no longer see the world the same way we do. When no one wants to make an effort to stay in touch or even worse, when spending time together feels like a chore, maybe it's time to accept that you've known these people for the longest time but that they no longer work with who you are now. Sometimes it's better to quietly move on and to keep the beautiful moments stored away at a safe place at the back of your mind.

A friend is someone who gives you total freedom to be yourself and especially to feel, or not feel. Whatever you happen to be feeling at any moment is fine with them. That’s what real love amounts to - letting a person be what he really is.

people need to understand that once you go through your worst time alone, you really don’t care who stays in your life anymore.

We were never gonna make it, right? If you’d told me this six months ago, I wouldn’t have believed you. But now that I’m looking at it from a different point of view, I can see the cracks in the foundation. It was never supposed to be this hard, but we tend to want to believe we have to fight for something in order to last. I don’t know if that’s true anymore. Because sometimes there is simply nothing that’s worth saving. The hardest part is being honest with ourselves. It hurts to admit, but even if we set out to retrace our steps and to do better, what would there be left to return to? We're not who we used to be, and that's a good thing. Maybe this means we're no longer on the same page. But if we didn't part on bad terms, is there anything to regret? Shouldn't we be glad for the beautiful memories we made together instead of trying to go back to something we can't recreate?
