Has anyone requested 30 with druig 👀👀👀👀
A/N - This is sweet for Druig! Thanks for requesting this, anon!
Safe
Summary - There's one piece of item from Druig that you tend to steal, yet Druig doesn't have the heart to take it back
Warnings - Just some fluff :)
"So am I going to get it back anytime soon?"
"Nope!"
"Why did I even ask?"
"Because you love me?"
Rolling your eyes from your spot, you thumbed another page in your book as Druig was stretching out in your shared bed on the Domo. He ruffled his hair, peering over his shoulder at the view of the galaxy right outside your window. You stopped your reading to look too, seeing the clusters of stars and the mixtures of constellations that seemed like arm's length away. It has been some time since your saw outer space like this, since the past 7,000 years you were on the ground, looking up from Earth and wondering if you were ever going to return home.
Well, that got complicated real fast.
"I've missed these stars," You voiced as you placed the book you were reading on your lap, reaching over to rub Druig's back with your fingers as he was watching the same view as you.
"I miss the jungle more," He replied softly, you humming as he looked away from the stars and up at you with a cock of his head, "Especially you in the jungle, gettin' a tan from bein' in the sun and the highlights in your hair,"
"I had to get sunburns to get that tan, and I'd rather not do through with that again thank you very much," You stated, hearing him chuckle as you ran your fingers in his dark hair, "But I miss the jungle too. I can't help but miss it since we lived there for 500 years,"
"Our people livin' in peace," Druig agreed with a soft smile, "They'll be alright without us there,"
"Thanks to you," You reminded him as you pressed a kiss on the top of his head, "And yet Sprite and Kingo thought you were running a cult,"
"Of course, they would," Druig grumbled as you had to laugh, "Just because we wore comfortable clothes doesn't mean we were in a cult." He paused and looked at the article of clothing you were wearing, an eyebrow raised in your direction.
"I happen to like that robe you're wearing, which happens to be my robe," He reminded you, making you look down at the dark blue robe you were wearing over your tank top and pajama shorts.
You loved this robe, a gift from one of the elders in the village some time ago as a symbol of appreciation towards Druig. He was a great leader for the people in that village, they would follow him to the ends of the earth without Druig ever using his mind control. Druig took care of them with all his heart, the way he wanted to care for all the humans on the planet. You were honored to be a witness to his kind gestures and empathetic tasks. So when he got a robe as a gift, he made the mistake of letting you wear it one night when you two went swimming in the river behind the village.
Since then, you would steal it from time to time.
It was harmless when you would wear it, and Druig wouldn't care really. You used it when you got out of the shower, when you were needing something to cover your shoulders while you were reading a book in your little cabin, you even wore it when you were clearing out some of the farmland that was in need of new crops.
Yet every time you wore it, Druig loved seeing you wear it.
To you, it was more than just a piece of clothing that belonged to Druig. It was a part of him, his own soul engraved in the fabric as you touched it with your fingers. Druig was never one for material things, he would rather have a handful of things to his name on Earth and the rest he would let slip away.
But the handful of things was significant to him: his beaded bracelet that was a gift from Makkari, his wedding ring that he rarely took off since you two got married centuries ago, and the blue robe that was gifted to him, he knew you wore that robe more than you ever did.
"I can't help but wear it! It's a great robe," You reasoned as Druig sat up on the bed, facing you while crisis crossing his legs on top of the blankets, "I should have asked that woman to make a second robe for me,"
"And for us to match? I don't think so," Druig snorted as you grinned, "No, I prefer you to wear it more than me. It suits you,"
"What? Me wearing your robe?" You questioned, Druig nodding his head, "Honestly, why do you like me wearing it, Druig?"
" 'Cause I know it brings ya comfort and peace," Druig merely replied, making you pause as he tilted his head at you, "I know you wear it not just because it's comfortable and all, but I know you wear it...when you're not yourself,"
He was right, Druig was always right when it came to you needing comfort. Running a village for 500 years was no bed of roses and no easy walk in the park, there were harder times and stressful moments. Sickness and disease came and would take lives in their wake, World Wars that were so close to invading your little piece of heaven gave you stress, and the unfair deaths of innocent villagers made you grieve. Although it could be worse in the real world, it still was painful for you to see death and pain within your tiny population.
Druig held you in those moments of course, but he also had to keep the village running and help their grief as well. You would slip on the robe and would simply hold it close to your body in those dire times: breathing in the scene of Druig through your nose, digging your fingernails into the fabric to ground yourself, and sometimes you would fall asleep in the robe, picturing it was Druig holding you close.
The last time you wore it to bring you peace was right after the almost Emergence, taking in all that happen and the deaths that affected you too. You thought of Ajak and Gilgamesh and you missed them, you thought of Sprite becoming a human and no longer an Eternal and you missed her. You thought of Ikaris and what he did to the family, and you missed his old self.
Druig found you curled up in the ball in your old room of the Domo, crying and unleashing that pain that was inside. He silently took out the dark blue robe from his duffle bag that he packed the day he left the village, draping it over your shoulders and holding you close to make you cry.
It was more than a robe, and Druig was willing to let you imprint on it.
So you felt Druig rearrange the same blue robe you were wearing, you smiling softly as he then pressed his forehead against yours and kissed your cheeks and nose carefully. Even while you two were out in space looking for other Eternals that could exist, leaving all that you knew behind, you once again felt safe with Druig not just because of his robe, but because of him.
Druig would always keep you safe, even if it meant you wearing a simple dark blue robe

I didn’t really care about Eternals before watching the movie, and now that I’ve seen the movie, I still mostly don’t care about the Eternals, except the ones that sebastianshaw likes, like Sersi and Ajak.
I did like Kingo, Thena and Gilgamesh. I was surprised that Kingo didn’t drop in at the last minute during the final battle. I guess they needed one character to be totally neutral. Okay, I also liked Phastos and his family.
The choice of “villain,” and the fact that it wasn’t Druig was...odd. Movie Druig, despite his whole mind-controlled village, mostly seemed like a moody teenager, the kind that might possibly accompany Ferris Bueller on a school-skipping adventure. I liked his rapport with Makkari.
Dane Whitman was a pointless addition in a movie that already had too many characters, but I know, I know, he’s being set up for later movies.
This movie just further shows how difficult it is to have these stories take place in a shared universe. Giant celestial rising out of the ocean, threatening the entire earth, and I guess Sam and Bucky were just taking a nap, Captain Marvel was somewhere else in the universe, and Thor was playing video games with Korg. Even accepting that it all happened too fast for the Avengers to notice, they should have some questions. Hell, where was Dr. Strange? At least Shang-Chi had it’s final battle confined to a secret hidden village, so it could stay mostly separate from the rest of the MCU.
And how does this whole story about Celestials growing inside planets even square with the rest of the MCU in space? Like Odin somehow wasn’t aware that the earth that was under his “protection” was marked for destruction? Or Captain Marvel or the Skrulls or literally anyone? I guess if the Celestial emerges every billion or so years it could be a long enough time scale for everyone to be unaware.
Karun was the real MVP of the movie.

Come With Me
Summary - Druig senses you need a getaway from your Eternal Duties.
Warnings - Just some cute fluff and a hint of angst
"Ajak, may I speak to you about something?"
"Of course you can, Druig. You always can talk to me, you know that by now,"
"I know, but this is a different kind of talk. Nothing involving humans or Deviants,"
That got Ajak's attention, she perked up from her spot from looking over some human documents to see the Mind Controller at the door of her room. He looked uneasy, almost worried about talking with her which was not like him at all. He was never afraid to speak his mind or say what he wanted, though at times it was sarcastic and a bit on the aloof side.
Nevertheless, Druig spoke on what bothered him or what intrigued him. Yet the way he was standing in front of Ajak, it seemed otherwise. Ajak walked over to stand in front of him, giving him her kind smile that she knew would surely sway him into telling her what was going on.
"I was hoping to go away for the weekend," he explained, sounding a bit nervous as Ajak kept listening, "The past few months were a bit hard for us, and since we took care of most of the Deviants in the region, I think it's a good time to have some time away from...from my duties,"
Ajak was surprised to hear this kind of request from him. Knowing Druig and how he worked when he needed to be away, he would simply leave. Druig was never one to hang around when he was stressed, he would find time to himself to recharge before he was needed again. So Ajak had to wonder why he would ask to go away for the weekend.
"Well, the humans have no plans for us this weekend and things are quite quiet, so I see no problem in taking some time for yourself," Ajak reassured him, though behind him out in the hallway both Ajak and Druig heard some laughing. They both looked, seeing you and Thena talking together and walking shoulder to shoulder.
You were in your gray armor, your long hair in a braided crown on your head along with your bright brown eyes that shined from your giggles that were echoing in the room. Ajak saw how Druig was watching you walk, how your hands were fidgeting a bit at your sides, and how your stance was a bit stiff, yet you smiled and kept talking to Thena as if nothing was wrong.
That's when it clicked on Ajak's mind.
"Unless this time away is not for you," She commented, Druig's head snapped over to her as she gave him a knowing look. Druig then sighed, rubbing the back of his head as Ajak grinned, "I can read you like a book too, Druig. This is for her, isn't it?"
"Aye, she's been stressed lately, and given the last few Deviant attacks were a bit rough on her," Druig explained, no longer wanting to hide the real reason why he wanted an escape, "I just want her to relax and to have some time for peace,"
"Of course," Ajak agreed, "And I do understand that she needed some rest. I find it admirable that you wish to give that to her, given your feelings for her,"
Druig's eyes went big and his breath was lost for a moment as Ajak never once blinked or hesitated in what she said. She simply smiled and placed her hands on his arms, giving them a small squeeze.
"I know Druig. I know how you feel about her and how your heart feels too,"
Druig bit his lower lip, almost flushed now as he looked back again in your direction. You and Thena were sitting together in the meeting room, barely seen by Druig where he was but he could tell you were talking to Thena about something serious.
"I find what you feel for her is good," Ajak reassured him softly as he kept his eyes on you, "You have a good heart too, Druig. I can only see good things for the two of you, and I think you do need to take her away for the weekend,"
"You do?" Druig asked, looking away from you finally and back at Ajak as she grinned, "You honestly think so?"
"I do. You think of nothing but the best for others, Druig. As much as you wish to deny it, I can see how you care for her," Ajak explained as she squeezed his arms one more time, "So, you two are allowed to have a weekend away from us and the Domo. As long as you two stay out of trouble and find some rest, you have my permission,"
Druig felt as though he wanted to yell out in joy or grin so big at the news. He knew he was not a big fan of Ajak 100% of the time, but he did respect her in a way. He knew she wanted what was best for them and the humans, even in the times when they would butt heads with their separate philosophies. However, Druig still had some admiration for her.
So he did the last thing neither of them expected: he hugged Ajak.
Ajak was shocked by the impact of his arms around her, but she hugged him back just as willingly. She knew he was kind, very kind and willing to place his neck on the line for others. There wsa good in Druig, even when others never saw it.
"Thank you, Ajak," Druig said to her as he pulled away from her. S he merely nodded her head, and he walked out of the room without another word. She watched silently, looking out from her room as Druig approached you from your spot. Seeing you two talk together, a grin now appeared on your face as you shot up from your spot and hugged him tightly.
Ajak had to smile widely, she knew then there was more than just Druig wishing to bring you peace on a weekend trip.
And two years later, Ajak watched you and Druig get married in the early morning sunrise, beyond proud of two heart becoming one.
