I am tired of being a person. Not just tired of being the person I was, but any person at all. I like watching people, but I don’t like talking to them, dealing with them, pleasing them, or offending them. I am tired.

Not illness, but disinterest. Like disinterested in being alive, everything it entails, other than aimlessly scrolling Instagram, in a soft bed, in a dark room, Lana Del Rey on repeat.

Understanding Burnout: A Personal Journey into Life's Overwhelming Fatigue
Web Life is a beautiful journey, filled with ups and downs, joys and sorrows. But what happens when the downs seem to outweigh the ups, and the sorrows overshadow the joys? What happens when every day feels like a struggle, and the mere act of getting out of bed feels like climbing Mount Everest? This, my dear readers, is what burnout feels like. The Weight of Burnout Imagine waking up every…

My personality is identical to an octopus...
Sentient enough to be a dominant species, but probably won't because of disinterest and introversion. Smart enough to cause havoc and plan elaborate escapes, but most of the time I just drift around eating stuff. Able to contort my body into strange and viscerally disturbing forms.

I don’t ever really know if it’s the case that people are just fucking disappointing… or is it in fact me, who is so crazy hard to satisfy?
The net result is the same I suppose.

Disinterestedly
It feels like an insult,
Noticing disinterest,
As if someone doesn’t care,
Not in you, nor thing you like.
Isn’t easily understood
The similarity of distraction
Vs disinterest .
How many focuses do you have?
What multitasking is done?
And how much gets disregarded,
Too much to fit in right now,
A distraction from priorities,
And you hum disinterestedly,
Letting everything flow past,
Taking none of it in,
Because you need to focus.
Yet others doing so is insulting,
Unless a pause is offered,
Time to understand their focus.
But continued disinterest stings more,
Teaches lessons of silence,
Breaking once open communication,
Because something one loves,
One pours passion into,
Is met with silence, disinterest,
Deliberate conversation diversions.
How curiously harmful a thing.

Things I refuse to take sides on.
Spend a lot of time on social media… or a medium amount of time, or a little time, or if your social media exposure is restricted to tweets the teevee people show on the news after your afternoon stories… and you’ll know that you’ll be made to care about every issue, from world events to the most obscure anime debate. Some people foolishly believe the worst, most offensive thing you can do…

Broken Trinkets - Be Like a Flower (on Wattpad) https://www.wattpad.com/1417253668-broken-trinkets-be-like-a-flower?utm_source=web&utm_medium=tumblr&utm_content=share_reading&wp_uname=bestrevolver Life is a beautiful thing, but it can also be harsh and unforgiving. It can break you down and leave you feeling empty and lost. The broken trinkets of life are the shattered pieces of our hopes and dreams that we thought were unbreakable. They are the pieces of our hearts that have been shattered by disappointment, loss, and pain. Nihilism is the belief that life has no meaning or purpose. It is the idea that everything is ultimately meaningless and that there is no ultimate truth or value in anything. Nihilism can be a dark and depressing philosophy, but it can also be liberating in its own way. It can free us from the constraints of society and allow us to create our own meaning and purpose in life. The broken trinkets of life and nihilism often go hand in hand. When we experience loss and pain, it can be difficult to find meaning and purpose in life. We may feel like everything we once believed in has been shattered and that there is no point in trying anymore. This is where nihilism can come in and offer us a new perspective. It can help us see that the meaning and purpose we once believed in were just illusions, and that we have the power to create our own meaning and purpose in life. In a way, the broken trinkets of life and nihilism can be seen as two sides of the same coin. They both represent the struggle to find meaning and purpose in a world that can be cruel and unforgiving. But they also represent the potential for growth and transformation. When we embrace our brokenness and accept the nihilistic nature of the world, we can begin to rebuild ourselves and create a new sense of purpose and meaning in life.

How The Church Can Use Technology To Reach A Changing World
Friday’s Column: Brent’s Bent You’ve probably seen the results of the recent WSJ-NORC poll showing how much Americans’ views on patriotism, religion, and community involvement have changed in the past 25 years. It is disheartening. On a lark, I decided to query ChatGPT about this issue, asking: How should the Christian community respond to generate interest in religion while remaining…
