I once saw a post saying that the Gotham Girl Gang could have been like a future Birds of Prey which yes good but I don’t think any of you have considered the possibility of a Cassandra, Stephanie, Charlotte (Misfit) trio.
The three main members of the Birds of Prey are Black Canary, Huntress and Oracle and all three of them have acted as sort of mentors to one of those three at one point or another.
Steph back when she was Spoiler trained with Black Canary and was sort of like her apprentice, Dinah even helping Steph throw Arthur and the Riddler out of her house unfortunately DC didn’t continue with this and Dinah said that she was too busy to train a sidekick but told Steph she had a lot of talent. Their relationship was further referenced when Dinah is shown mourning Steph’s death though.
Charlie when she worked with the Birds of Prey had a very close relationship with Huntress, Helena taking on a mentor like relationship with the younger girl and in the Titans of Tomorrow timeline Misfit actually became Huntress when she was older.
As Oracle Barbara has trained a lot of Young Hero and has been a mentor to all three of these girls Steph and Cass both holding a special place in her heart and Barbara was like a mother to Cass and was the person who gave Cass her name.
Unfortunately Misfit hasn’t really been seen since the Reboot but honestly it would have been so cool to see these three team up and have a team book together or something as a Next Generation Birds of Prey especially when you think of them as Gotham’s next defenders what with Cassandra being the next Batman, Stephanie being the next Nightwing and Charlotte being the next Huntress.
Also all of this is really evidence that Harper needs to get mentored by Lady Black Hawk

Young Justice. In detention AU (p.s. pls feel better soon xx)
Aww anon, you’re so sweet.
Conner is there for shoving a football player into a trash can after he made a disparaging comment about M’gann. M’gann got caught up in the mess because she tried to stop Conner and help the football player, but when the Ms. Lance, the gym teacher showed up it looked like she was helping Conner.
Kaldur is there because he skipped anatomy (it wasn’t that he was a bad student, he didn’t want to dissect a frog.) and hung out at the school pool instead.
Roy is there because he never showed up for his first four classes of the day. He has a bad case of senioritis and does not care about high school anymore. The only reason he showed up to detention is that the principal threatened to not let him graduate if he didn’t start showing up.
Zatanna and Raquel are there because they wouldn’t stop talking to each other in class.
Wally is in Detention because he put a shaving cream booby trap of his own design in Artemis’ locker.
Dick is in detention because he helped Wally break into Artemis’ locker and tried to cover it up by attempting to hack into the school’s security cameras.
Artemis is in detention because she gave Wally a black eye after she was covered in shaving cream from his little prank.
Dianah is in charge of detention. Artemis, Roy, Conner and Zatanna are students that she sees often. Wally and Dick have been there before but usually they’re not caught. This is M’gann and Kaldur’s first time in detention.

Does anyone ever think about the fact that every person and adult that Steph looked up to growing up let her down?
Like obviously you have the fact that her parents weren’t equipped to raise a child when Steph was growing up considering Arthur was a criminal and Crystal was an addict.
But it’s not just her parents it’s literally every adult around her, every adult or ‘uncle’ or friend of the family were criminals in their own right and Steph had to stop them a lot as Spoiler. Her gymnastic coach was a drug dealer who sold bad drugs that got kids in her school killed and Steph had to stop him as Spoiler which was shown to be really hard for her considering that gymnastics was her only outlet other than vigilante work.
Bruce... was Bruce.
It’s no wonder that Steph is very distrusting as Spoiler considering every adult in her life let her down and never took care of her. It is also no wonder why she was always so happy and optimistic when she was with Black Canary or Bruce said he would train her or when she was made Robin.
Steph literally has never had an adult take care of her and most of the adults in her life she’s had to be more responsible than them, she’s had to do the right thing because they won’t so when an adult says or even implies that ‘hey I’ll be responsible and look out for you’ she gets so excited and hopeful but in the end they let her down too...
