Am I the asshole for making my… friend think he is way better at me than painting
So I (m19) share English literature class with this guy, Marcelo (m19), who is a bit let’s just say. Grandiose in behavior. He was a former opera star and is about to inherit a multimillion dollar fortune from his rich Italian family. He keeps acting like everything will just come to him. One day, during class I started drawing and he asked me to see what I was doing. Note, I really like horror and metal music to the point my former boyfriend worried his mom would think I am a satanist. I am just a guy with long hair and eye bags. Anyway, due to me liking horror and metal so much, I have developed a pretty good eye for drawing, helping a few guys make the cover for their comic book and all that.
I told him to meet me in the art room, which he did. And then I told him “hey, you’re left handed, why don’t you teach me how to paint then” and it turns out. He can ONLY paint flowers. And when he tried to draw a skeleton. It looked bad from a technical standpoint. But due to him being 191cm tall and I am barely 173cm tall. I decided to lie to him and say he is really good. Also because he’s hot and I’m afraid what will happen if he gets told anything that isn’t positive.

Despite being agnostic, atheist-leaning, and a secularist, I don't consider myself a part of those communities.
My opinions are my own and I speak only for myself.
Don't lump me in with other people.
Just because I like certain creators doesn't mean I share 100% of their opinions.

I don't fuckin' care what slurs you want to call yourself but why the fuck does such a large portion of my LGBT community INSIST that EVERYONE must use this one specific slur. If you have trauma from the word, well I guess you're a TERF even if you yourself are trans!

The fact that openly LGBTQ people are cheering on fascist paramilitaries in their own country, subscribing to and tying their rights to literal Nazi revisionist ultranationalist histories, and doing so with the support and cheering on of brainless Western gays who have decided to believe whatever bloodthirsty neoliberal imperialist warmongers tell them as long as they wave a rainbow flag around once in a while is evidence that something has gone deeply, fundamentally wrong with Western liberal identity politics-based models of queer liberation, especially when it’s exported to countries and cultures that simply do not have the same political-economic history Western capitalist nations have. Like, it’s hard to overstate how much real, irreparable harm these discourses are doing to us all around the world. We need to stop this shit as soon as possible and completely and irrevocably disentangle ourselves from this dying empire. More importantly, we need to fundamentally alter our conceptions of queer liberation and how our rights should be achieved, because two decades of rainbow capitalism, homonationalism, electoralism, assimilationism, and identity-based “visibility” and “inclusivity” politics are literally putting us in a worse position than we were in before.
