"That's all I ask." She stands on her tiptoes to give my lips a peck. "So what do you want to do?"

"Can we do the three outfits thing?"

"Of course we can." Wanda stands in front of me, pushing her arms under my coat as she wraps them around my body, locking her hands together at the bottom of my back. Her chin resting on my chest as she puckers her lips up at me, I bend down giving her a few gentle pecks. We break apart with a smile when the lady makes her way back to the counter, now finished with the other customer. Wanda let's go of me turning around to face the lady, her back pressed to my front and I gently rest my hands on her waist as I rest my chin on the top of her head.

"So have you ladies decided on what to go for?" Once again a winning customer service smile on her face.

"So I would like to go for the suit, then maybe look at some different things you have."

"That's perfect, are we getting you measured today?"

"Yes please. Am I able to browse the catalogues as you do so?"

"Of course. Your girlfriend can join us in the back if that makes it easier for you two." She looks between me and Wanda, I'm starting to think that the smile isn't that fake.

"Yes please. Baby?"

"Of course I will grab the catalogues while you and the lady get settled. Sorry what's your name so I don't have to keep calling you lady?" She huffs out a laugh holding her hand out which I shake.

"The names Paula. You two are."

"I'm Y/n and this my Wanda."

"Very nice to meet you both. Wanda if you would like to follow me though to the back, Y/n join us when you're ready. Also would either of you like a drink at all? Tea? Coffee?"

"I will take a tea please." Wanda says following the lady as I grab the catalogues.

"Water is fine for me thanks "

"Perfect. Why don't you two surf the catalogues while I make them for you." She disappears into another side room while me and Wanda take a seat opening up the dress catalogue first.

Wanda flicks through the pages, asking for my input on certain things as she hums a random tune out. She suddenly stops flicking her hand resting on the page, as her finger brushes over the picture of the dress she has seen. I know it's the one the moment she sets her eyes on it, a soft smile makes its way onto her lips as her eyes scan the dress up and down. Her finger traces the outline of the dress, before resting her hand flat against it.

"This one is perfect." Wanda turns to look at me, tilting the catalogue so I can see what she is one about and I bite my lip when I see the dress.

"What shoes and accessories are you going for?"

"Just some heels and maybe earrings. Nothing too in your face."

"Any more dresses you're looking at."

"No, I think I want to get another suit though, and er, maybe a coat?" She mumbles the last bit, but I catch it.

"So another suit, and a coat. And then just shoes and accessories to go with each." I state, so she knows I'm okay with it.

"Yeah so it would be one dress, 2 suits and a coat. Are you sure it's okay baby?"

"I am perfectly sure princess. I want to spoil you rotten." She quickly pecks my lips and starts scanning the other catalogue as Paula returns.

"Okay so here is the tea and the water. Wanda if you could come and stand up here. Y/n you can stand next to her, to help her browse but you might have to do some shuffling around while I measure."

"Okay. Ready princess?"

"Ready."

I stand up from my chair, placing the catalogues on my seat and hold out my hand palm up for Wanda to take. She gently places her palm in mine, my fingers wrap around her hand as I hoist her up from the chair. I bend down to grab the catalogues in my other hand, wrapping my arm around Wanda's shoulder while her arm remains in front of her, our hands still holding one another. We walk up to the small stand, that's about half a foot of the ground; and surrounded by 3 or 4 mirrors. I let go of Wanda's hand holding mine out palm up again. She rests her hand in mine as she steps up on the stand getting herself situated.

"Such a gentlewoman. Sometimes I wish I was gay." Me and Wanda share a confused look at Paula as we both laugh. "I just mean the most my boyfriend does is buy me flowers on my birthday."

"Oh yeah, men are imbeciles. Been there, done that, never again though." Wanda remarks, laughing as the lady gives an impressed smile and nod.

"So is it as good as they say? You know being with a woman compared to a man?" I try to ignore the conversation as I start looking through the suit catalogue for ideas.

"Mhmm, one thousand percent better." I quirk a brow. "You my dear are missing out on a good time. Dump that lazy ass boyfriend of yours and get yourself a lady."

"Maybe I will. So how long have you two been together." The lady starts up a conversation as she starts to measure Wanda's legs with a small hand held tape measure.

"What's the date today baby?" I open my phone to double check.

"It's the 5th lyubov."

"Okay so that puts us at 3 weeks 4 days. Okay wow, I didn't realise it hadn't been not that long. I swear it feels like we have been together for months." I quickly do the maths in my head and my jaw drops.

"Oh wow, yeah you're right." I just shrug. "We are just being your stereotypical useless lesbians."

"Wait so we said I love you to each other exactly 3 weeks into knowing each other."

"Wait, wait, wait. You guys have already said 'I love you' to each other?" The lady stops what she is doing to look between the both of us wide eyed.

"Yeah, but I honestly thought we had been together longer. I swear it was longer." I scratch my head slightly confused at how quickly we have actually moved through this relationship.

"Nope." Wanda pops her the P. "We met on the tenth of last month."

"Well fuck me, that's kinda crazy lyubov." Wanda shrugs as she looks at me through the mirror.

"Like you said we are just some good ole useless lesbians."

"Okay, anyway. So we have the dress, the suit you just need to choose the other suit and coat you want. Any ideas?"

"Are there any white suits in there?"

"There is." I start flicking the section with white dresses, while Paula moves around me. I hold the book open in one hand, and Wanda flicks through it herself, her eyes searching every page. Her eyes land on something she likes the look of, as they scan the page.

"What about this one dorogoy?"

"Well this is for you, so it's your choice."

"You're no help, I want your opinion. Like if I wore this would you take me to one of the Stark Gala's or not."

"I would love to show you off wearing that princess."

"Correct answer."

"So that one." I point to the suit to make sure she is happy.

"That one."

"Okay guys, as cute as this is Wanda I need your arms up and out for me so I can get those measurements."

Wanda complies, holding her arms out in the air, I move to stand in front of her, drinking her all in. I can't believe she is mine. I open up the catalogue that has the coats and hold the one with accessories in it under my arm, the rest go to the floor So I don't get in the way of Paula. I flick through them myself to gain an idea of what they do and pick out some favourites I think Wanda would like. As Paula moves to behind Wanda I turn the catalogue to face her showing her each of the ones I picked. As I flick the pages she scrunches her nose shaking her head a lot not really feeling any of them, not until the last one.

"Ooo I really like that one baby." Paula peaks out from behind Wanda.

"We keep that one in store since we don't need measurements for it really. You can try it on once I'm done here."

"Perfect thank you Paula. Are shoes and accessories here or is it easier to order them to come with the made to measure stuff."

"Depends what you would like. We stock some stuff, but it is mostly easier to order it to arrive with the made to measure stuff." Paula finishes up wrapping the tape measure gently over her shoulders. "So what is it we are going for then ladies."

"The red velvet suit, with a white button up. The shoulder to floor white dress with these earrings and these heels. And then this suit here, and this coat."

"Perfect I will get it put through the till." Paula walks off to the counter to get it ready for payment as I once again hold my hand out to Wanda as she steps off the stand. She instinctively links our arms together as we both walk on time over to the counter. Paula walks back to us holding the coat in her hands, which Wanda takes putting it on herself. She double checks what she looks like in the mirror, then turns to me for my opinion but when she see my lip between my teeth she knows my answer so turns back to Paula nodding and handing the coat back.

"So which one do you want to wear this Friday princess?"

"Still the red one." I nod as I turn to Paula.

"Can we put a rush on the red suit. We need it for Friday if that's possible? I know it's Tuesday already…."

"We can put a rush on it, it will be ready for Friday morning where you can collect it from us."

"Perfect."

"Okay so the three outfits, accessories, shoes and coat all come to a total of…"

"I don't need to know, that's okay, just set up the card machine." Paula's eyes flick between me and Wanda and I can feel Wanda's eyes burning a hole in the side of my head.

"Okay, uh, well it should be ready for you." I swipe and sign and soon enough Paula hands over the receipt which I hand to Wanda. She immediately looks at the total price biting her lip a little.

"See I didn't want you to know because you might have said no, so now you have 3 new outfits for plenty of occasions and there isn't a thing you can do to stop me." Wanda just nods as her eyes scan the bit of paper over each individual price, while I grab the bag with the coat in it.

"Oh so your a sugar mama. Damn I really should turn to women." Wanda smiles up at Paula and I'm thankful for the topic change.

"You definitely should. It changes everything."

"Well you two lovely ladies enjoy the rest of your week and I will see you Friday when you come to collect the suit." She holds out her hand and we both give her a handshake before we turn to exit the shop. I wrap my arm around Wanda's sounders pulling her close to me.

"You okay princess?" I check in knowing her brain is going over the amount of money I just spent on her.

"I'm good. I'm okay. It's just something I'm going to have to get used to."

"It will take time, but like I said before you now have three new outfits and we don't have to do this again in a long while if it makes you more comfortable."

"Thank you Y/n. I mean it. I love you"

"I love you too Princess. Anywhere else you want to go?" I look down at her smirking when I see her lip gently between her teeth her pupils dilated so I change my question. "Yours or mine?"

"Mine."

Heya! So I got a question.

I don't want to say if you're a Beanie baby expert or anything, but I've noticed you collected a bunch of lil beanie babies (no doubt you have my favorite lol). My question is that if you had collected beanie clothes, if there is any? And if so are there any for the beanies that stand on 4 legs? (Like a cat fir example)

Anon this is a GREAT question and you have no idea how excited I am to be answering it... unfortunately, the really short answer is that no, there are no Beanie clothes. BUT

First of all, if you're looking strictly at Ty products, there are Beanie Kids Gear that kinda fit Beanie Babies! Idk if you guys remember Beanie Kids, but they were these soft dolls just a tad bigger than Beanie Babies and you could buy outfits for them and stuff. The outfits are still easy to find online, and they usually fit Beanie Babies in size but they're a little weird.

And really that goes for any doll clothes! It'll fit on a case-by-case basis. You can also search online for "teddy bear clothes" or "doll clothes" but most results are simply too large-- they'll fit a Beanie Buddy, but not a Baby.

If you want something that really fits, you'll have to make your own. @planetbeanie posted a really cute no-sew outfit that takes only a sock and some scissors to make; I made a little denim vest out of an old cuff (that ended up being a tad too big!)

I'm an INFP-T, I'm also Asexual and Panromantic (slightly woman leaning but not an insane amount) I dress in dark academia style almost always: cardigans, sweater vests, long over coats paired with sweaters underneath. I'm very much trying to be that person you fall in love with in the book store

When I'm in public alone I am very much socially awkward and anxious. I keep to myself and I am terrified of causing trouble for anyone

I tend to be drawn to more loud people; or more like popular/louder people adopt me out of the blue and I go along with it (which is funny considering I'm usually quiet)

Once I've warmed up with people I very much match energys with whoever I'm with, typically just trying to make friends laugh. I value people's happiness very much

If we're out at a mall or something I'm quieter, but in private I can get very loud

I don't really do well with anger in general, weather it be my own or other people's

I also don't really have any appetite most of the time (I'm not sure if it's medical or not) but this can cause me sometimes to get super dizzy out of nowhere because I've forgotten to eat/drink

I'm a digital artist, and I actually write fanfiction on Tumblr as well. I absolutely love cats, I’d talk about my cat Hazel for hours if I could (She's mean to me but I still love her </3) I also really like Vocaloid/Hatsune Miku music (kinda not surprising considering pjsk lol), I don't usually mention it in person though cause it's embarrassing to explain that shes just a singing hologram

I also have a fox obsession, I own a huge fox plush that takes up a designated corner of my room lol

I don't mind most things personality wise in people, but I do wish to be respected obviously

1. What is your dream piece?

Metamorphose temp de filles 2003 Bridal OP was a massive dream dress for me (lolibrary)

I never thought I would see it, definitely not in person or online but 1 managed to pop up a few weeks ago and I broke my no buy so fast! It's a lesser known mtdf release (so it wasn't that expensive) but the flocking pattern is so gorgeous and the type of silk used has a unique texture/pattern to it. I plan to make a replacement sash and some accessories for it. I got it in black, which is the last colorway missing on lolibrary so maybe I'll take some nice photos and submit it. :)

I have some other minor dream dresses but this was the big one.

2. What was your first piece?

The first piece that came in the mail was Baby the Stars Shine Bright's Kuma Kumya Marine Island II in pink!

When I got it I immediately put it on, I had a blouse and everything from the socks, shoes, accessories- all I was missing was a petticoat and I remember being stressed out by how it looked on me. I was really second guessing my decisions and how quickly I jumped in, then my petticoat came in and I was immediately reassured. This is a piece that absolutely needs to be worn with a petticoat or it can be kind of jarring.

I like pink but it's not a color I wear, so I don't see myself having a lot of pink in my wardrobe. I would love to get this print in a different color (navy/mint mostly) in the first cut since I find it more flattering for me.

But I love all things sea critter related, I wanted to be a marine biologist for a while and dabbled in marine ecology for a time so this print is a favorite for sure.

5. What lolita staple do you hate?

Those chunky bead bracelets, when I see them on other people I think it can look really nice but I don't like them on me at all.

8. What are some details you wish to see more of?

More variety in the structure of main pieces, I feel like recent-ish Angelic Pretty falls into having a lot of the same structure that can lead to some of their pieces looking the same to me

(Although BTSSB's JSK I and II cuts do this too)

10. What is an underrated print/design motif?

I would love to see more things like embroidery, the 2 toned/color screen prints/designs

12. If you had to change one thing about modern lolita fashion, what would it be?

Remove the use of plastic leather especially for bags. Not only is it really hard for these items to hold up over time, but as they degrade and shed they add plastic to the environment.

More things like canvas bags which can or can not include leather or other natural fiber embellishments would be nice, that way there would still be some variation in color or design but in a more sustainable way.

The doll show was insane this year!!!! I found so many things I'd been on the lookout for for years and some nice surprises I randomly came across! I'm gonna ramble all about it:

--2006 Forever Diamondz Cloe (I thought the Forever Diamondz dolls were GORGEOUS back in the day, but I never got any of them, so last Christmas I treated myself to Yasmin and am now trying to slowly collect them all...I'm not typically a "I gotta complete the whole line" collector, but these?? I need them)

--1997 Sweetheart Midge (I have Sweetheart Barbie, Teresa, and Christie; the Barbie was one of my two very first dolls ever, and I got Teresa as a hand me down from an older family friend when I was about 5, so I've always been partial to this line and decided to complete it this year. I love their fuzzy neon dresses and will have to find one online to order for her)

I loved this doll's short hair as a kid but never saw her in stores, and I never thought to research her as I got older, but as soon as I saw her today, I was like omg there she is!! she exists!!! and I'm so glad to finally know what she is!)

AMERICAN GIRL OF THE YEAR 2006 JESS MCCONNELL!!!! Y'all. She is my babygirl. 10 year old me's blorbo from my catalogs. I have dreamed of holding this doll in my arms for seventeen years. I remember in her debut catalog, I opened the first page and was captivated by her. I remember thinking she had the cutest face sculpt, and she may or may not be the reason I continue to obsess over pink and orange as a color combination. I can't wait to get her actual outfits and dress her up, and get her books and get to know her as a character. Ever since I started collecting AG dolls (thanks to the doll show this time last year), I've been on the lookout for her, but I had yet to come across one in my preferred price range. Little did I know she'd be waiting for me to find in person!

So yeah! I'm feeling so satisfied and can't wait to get these guys all fixed up and find them a place among my collection! If you read all this, thank you and I love you <3

He has shown pictures/videos of himself AND HER scantily clad on the internet, so the situation clearly isn't about modesty or representation.

If he's such a traditional man, he would've married her already. Word on the street is that she's not his wife, though she is the mother of his children. It's a bit hypocritical to cry about traditionalism if you're benefitting from it without accepting traditional responsibilities. Impregnating a woman (especially when you are not the breadwinner for the houehold) does not make you a "traditional man," especially in the west.

He's acting like a victim as if he didn't make this private situation public discourse by posting it on the literal internet. Once it's online, especially on Twitter, it's out there forever. He should've addressed her privately if he had such a problem with the dress.

If he hates the dress so much, he is more than welcome to get his money up and not his funny up and buy her a nice designer gown that is befitting of a modest woman of her status.

If he wanted a 'modest woman,' he could've married one and not a literal actress who has worn sexy dresses in public on multiple occasions.

I've also never seen a modest, traditional woman go out by herself to a public event if she's cuffed up. He likely knew where she was going, so why didn't he - as a self-proclaimed traditional man, go with her?

If he’s such a traditional man then he should have been a provider for his baby mama and the child they have together.

Let’s be honest, its not really about the outfit, it’s about the jealousy and insecurities of someone who is acting a punk sissy and the fact that his baby mother was serenaded by usher, which is something what he (and other musicians like him) do . I can’t imagine how many young couples come to a concert to see their favorites and that person’s gf/bf or husband/wife or life partner or whatever gets put on stage and serenaded. If it was me watching I’ll be excited but also thought I wished it was me but still excited

also don’t underestimate the power of black twitter because they’re a detective agency. Have he just kept his mouth shut and handle this privately we wouldn’t have had known about him being a maga apologist and a police apologist. costume alternatives are an amazing option for halloween ! there are many affordable alternatives and each one will give you a new experience . it's also a good opportunity to try new things !

🎃 onesies : you can find hundreds of onesies online for under $25 ! they're a good investment . not only will they give you warmth and a costume , most onesies also make good PJs ( unless they have a lot of accessories connected to them . ) onesies may also aid in pet regression ! here are a few cheap options i found (~$18-$20) : one , two , three , four , five

🕸️ try face paint instead : you can buy face paint individually from a halloween store at an affordable amount , or you can find a kit which usually includes multiple colors of paint , a few different types of brushes + sponges , stencils , stickers , glitter , tattoos , and a guidebook for designs . here's one with just that for $13

🎃 dress babie : dressing as your regressed age or in a comfortable style for your small self may feel very fun and fulfilling for your little self ! halloween is the perfect opportunity and i end up feeling cute in my babie clothes anyway !

🕸️ try a disney bound outfit : disneybounding is a method of styling that takes inspiration after a specific character using " average " clothing ( this strategy is used to dress up in disney parks without using costumes or cosmetics )

🎃 try out new fashion : if you have been waiting to try a new style or aesthetic but haven't yet for whatever reason , now is the time . im telling you ! now . is . the . time ! go for it ! dress however you want !

🕸️ monochrome outfit : these are so fun and easy ! just dress all in one color . it doesn't have to be the same shade . bonus points for additional monochrome accessories (⁠≧⁠▽⁠≦⁠)

🎃 swap clothes with a friend : this will definitely feel like dressing up if you have different styles than your friends. you guys can actually be each other for halloween if you want , but you don't have to of course !

🕸️ wear clothes you dont/cant usually wear : i have a big blue ball gown that i wore for a ball that i was invited to in highschool ! i never expected to own a ball gown and there are never many reasons to wear it so finding an excuse like halloween is fun for me and it gets my moneys worth out of the gown . you could wear a wedding dress , super formal clothes , skydiving gear , platform shoes , or anything else you don't get to wear on a regular basis

🎃 spontaneous thrift haul : go to the thrift store ! set yourself a budget if you need to . you can most likely find an outfit you will like for under $15 ( our thrift stores are getting expensive here but hopefully you can find it for $5 or less like i used to be able to do ) - or you can close your eyes and pick some random stuff ! it's fun to wear mismatched clothes or you can be a mismatched clown ! ( ask about weekly / monthly / occasional sales or discounts ! there may be military , student , first responder , healthcare , or teacher discount - coming from a former thrift store employee ! )

Hazardous Chemicals in SHEIN Products Break EU Regulations.

Greenpeace has conducted research on the Chinese fashion company SHEIN that identifies high levels of hazardous chemicals which break European Union regulations by up to 100% or more. Some 47 products were randomly tested and 7 (15%) were found to have contained hazardous chemicals that break EU regulatory limits. 5 were found to break the EU limits by 100% or more. The products are purchased online from Germany, Austria, Spain Italy, and Switzerland. They were also purchased from a pop-up store in Munich, Germany. All the products tested included children's clothes and shoes. All the garments were sent to an independent laboratory BUI for chemical analysis. SHEIN is at the forefront of ultra-fast fashion which has environmentalists up in arms. There are many reasons too, including the short life span of their products, ultra-low pay to Chinese workers, and now clear breaches of EU health regulations. Established fashion designers like Prado have also been vocal about intellectual property theft. BUIs findings included very high levels of phthalates in shoes and formaldehyde in a baby girl’s dress indicate at the very least SHEIN is not regulating its product production.

SHEIN targets TikTok users.

Rebecca Morter, founder of the sustainable e-commerce site Lone Design Club recently said in an interview with Glossy, “The worry with what Shein is doing — especially with their target audience of Gen-Zers* — is that it is making them think that it’s OK to pay next to nothing for an item of clothing, when the only way to have reached that price would mean exploiting people along the supply chain, from the makers to the designers,” * Gen-Z (people born between the mid-to-late 1990s and 2012).

The Supply Chain.

SHEIN's business model relies on products being produced and delivered almost instantly. The fast fashion style forces suppliers to deliver at breakneck speed which in turn makes things very hard for regulators. Earlier this month SHEIN announced the opening of a 170,000 sq ft. Warehouse and Office in Greater Toronto Area. The company is set to keep expanding and if regulators don't start looking into this soon there could be really bad ramifications.

Greenpeace's point of view.

Viola Wohlgemuth, Greenpeace Overconsumption & toxics Campaigner in Germany said, “Greenpeace is calling for the EU to enforce its laws on hazardous chemicals – which are a basic requirement for achieving a circular textiles economy and the end of fast fashion, as set out in the EU’s own Textiles Strategy.” “But the EU’s proposals also need to take on the inhuman system of exploitation and destruction by ultra fast fashion that should have no place in any industry in the 21st century, by holding companies fully responsible for environmental and social exploitation in their supply chains and the impacts from fashion waste. This also needs to be urgently addressed through a global treaty, similar to the recently agreed UNEA plastics treaty that is currently being discussed, to finally tackle the giant fashion footprint.”

In conclusion.

SHEIN's business model needs investigating by the authorities soon rather than later. If their business model is putting people at risk of exposure to dangerous levels of toxins then the public has a right to know.
