The only reason I want moon knight and doctor strange to fight in the mcu is so we get the inevitable sick ass shot of marc, steven and jake being disconnected from their body and all three of them flying back into the air

Autism movie/show deep dive and my very general thoughts on them!
(everyones different these are my own opinions as an autistic woman please watch for yourself and share any additional thoughts you have on them!)
Music (2021)
Tumblr media
Enough said.... had to get this one over with 0/10
Adam (2009)
Tumblr media
I found most of these movies to be outdated BUT I actually really appreciate Hugh Dancy's recreation of an autistic character (those who know him as Will in Hannibal would probably also agree). Even though originally I wasn't a fan of the ending I came to appreciate it that he wasn't 'saved' by romance and that it proved he was able to be independent and had great character growth while still respecting himself and his passions. I think it offered a decent insight to the different aspects of autistic joy, passion, while still including the difficult aspects with socializing, navigating relationships, grief, and meltdowns but now being overshadowed by them or 'becoming a problem'. However, I do love space so that could've also been responsible for my love for this movie. 8/10
Heartbreak High (2022)
Tumblr media
I absolutely love Chloé Hayden who is autistic herself so her character in the show feels real and more relatable. Pretty much what I said about 'Adam' but to an extreme I think the script and character interactions are such a fantastic and understandable demonstration of what being an autistic women is like (granted everyones experience is different). Cannot wait for the next season! This show is such a great modern day representation and not based in stereotypes like others are 10/10
Big Bang Theory (2007)
Tumblr media
I will never not defend this show - I know people tend to hate this because Sheldon is heavily stereotypical but I find him incredibly relatable as I do fall into a lot of these stereotypes myself. Once again everyones experiences are different so I don't understand why people write this show off completely. Love it 10/10
Atypical (2017)
Tumblr media
Unfortunately I don't have much to say about this show in regards to his autism because the constant inconsistencies during scenes deserve their own post and were too distracting to focus on anything else. Another thing that upset me about this is that the show is meant to take place in Connecticut yet they filmed in one of the most recognizable aquariums in the west coast. This show probably could've been good if it was just made better/had quality control. The only thing I remember liking was the pros and cons list because I also do that. 4/10
Mozart and the Whale (2005)
Tumblr media
I'm going to preface this one specifically that I know everyone's autism presents differently but I almost found her... offensive? I think this is because it was made in 2005 and is just outdated but I felt like a lot of the characters especially hers were more caricatures than characters. Sheldon being stereotypical is one thing but this felt kind of insulting? I'm having a hard time putting it into words. There were moments I liked though - it was a weird back and forth. 5/10
What's Eating Gilbert Grape (1993)
Tumblr media
Other than the mistreatment/beating/abuse I actually am pretty fond of this movie. Once again, outdated. But almost... endearing in a way (minus the mistreatment once again). I hope anyone who has seen it will understand what I feel. I did find the love interest annoying but that is unrelated to this post yet I felt the need to warn you all, I don't like her. 7.5/10
My Name is Khan (2010)
Tumblr media
I watched this movie six years ago in school before my diagnosis and I didn't even remember or realize he was autistic but I do remember having generally positive thoughts on this movie ?/10 (someone let me know if its worth a rewatch.
A Brilliant Young Mind (2014) ((also called X+Y))
Tumblr media
There is a lot of downtime in this movie so it can be kind of boring but it is honestly one of my comfort/go to movies. Of course its the whole "autistics are math geniuses" thing but the movie itself I think is sweet. It shows his diagnosis, he loses his father, he has almost a fill in father who coaches his math, his mother is really supportive of him but not in a savior kind of way, he experiences going out of the country for a competition, struggles with socializing/overwhelm, romantic interests, and there is another character who is autistic and his struggles are also shown in a relatable way, nothings (in my opinion) is annoyingly over exaggerated like it sometimes can be in movies. 9/10
The Good Doctor (2017)
Tumblr media
I never actually finished the show because the person I was watching it with kept making fun of me by relating myself to him. Since then I also haven't seen much of a positive reaction from other people either but please let me know your thoughts on it! ?/10
The Imitation Game (2014)
Tumblr media
Alan Turing himself was autistic and so even though it's not a main focus of this movie I still wanted to include it because I love this movie! 9/10
Sherlock Holmes (timeless)
Tumblr media
I have to also through him in here, obviously some versions are more autistic coded than others but I'm going to generally say all of them are great autistic representation <3 10/10
Not Dead Yet (2023)
Tumblr media
Like in Heartbreak High, Rick Glassman an autistic actor plays an autistic character and I think its another great modern day representation. It obviously isn't the main focus but they honestly do a pretty good job being educational in regard to social situations/difficulties and explain it in a way that people can learn from. 10/10
Bones (2005)
Tumblr media
I honestly can't remember if they ever say it but Temperance is 100% autistic and I think this is a very endearing show. Since its not the main focus I don't have much to say other than sharing my recommendation 9/10
Criminal Minds (2005)
Tumblr media
I mean... enough said. I love Reid with my whole heart. He is very much the 'autistic genius' again but you can't not love Reid! 10/10
Community (2009)
Tumblr media
Abed. Another one that doesn't really need much to be said about it. Abed is great 10/10
Dr Who (timeless) ((quite literally and figuratively))
Tumblr media
Now this could be considered a reach or projection but Dr Who... autistic! simple as that 10/10
House (2004)
Tumblr media
I had to just throw this one in at the end because its really just another version of 'Holmes' and 'Watson' now as 'House' and 'Wilson'. Sherlock, previously said as autistic means House is also autistic 10/10

The stories of Beenadick Thundersnatch paying reparations for slavery in Barbados especially because his family was heavily compensated for losing their slaves when slavery was abolished in 1834 is fun and all. (Though inaccurate)
But need I remind you slavery was abolished in America in 1865 and American slave owners were also compensated for their slaves being freed?
Not to mention the freed slaves were promised reparations in the form of land, which never came.
And the lack of resources forces recently freed slaves to continue to work the plantations they were on.
Not to mention Neo-Slavery. Which is a mix of "freed" slaves being put into camps which are essentially the same houses that they were kept in as slaves because the union soldiers didn't know what to do with all of these recently freed people that had no education, no money, no way to care for themselves, etc.
And anti-vagrancy laws that allowed them to be arrested and forced back into slavery because the 13th amendment says "unless punishment for a crime".
Black people continued being kept as slaves as late as 1963 in rural areas because no one caught it and the slaves were so uneducated that they couldn't read whatever knews was sent that they were free.
(Legit. Imagine fighting for desegregation completely unwitting to the fact that slavery was still happening.)
And modern day slavery in the US prison system using that 13th amendment loophole I mentioned earlier.
So maybe instead of applauding at attempts to force Beenadick Slaverbatch to pay reparations. Maybe we should work on ending slavery in the states and working on reparations here, yes?

What if season 2 sounds interesting and I am really curious to see what they will do with it, all during the holiday season.
But until then, let me tell you something about season 1! The 4th episode : "What if...Doctor Strange lost his heart instead of his hands" has to be my favourite one. That's because of its darkest themes, and, along with the last episode:"What if...The Watcher broke his oath" bring the characters really close to the Watcher, something that doesn't normally happen except in desperate, doomed situations. Also, Strange Supreme is a really interesting and powerful villain, because he interacted with The Watcher, and, ultimately, Uatu searches for Strange in his decimated universe, because he needs his help. That is a lot of power for one character.
We learned that The Watcher interfering isn't a thing that normally happens. It is a last measure, after Ultron threatens to defeat Uatu and the Multiverse. The Watcher can't let that happen, which is why he finally breaks his rules.
Until the 10th of November 2023 (yes I'm talking about the Loki finale) the Multiverse was, for Marvel's Cinematic Universe and its fans, simply the question of "What if?", which is why the series is called that too. But now, anything is possible. What we'll see in the episodes of season 2 is happening somewhere, sometime, with the God of Stories watching over it. But wait, now we have 2 watchers? How does that work...?
Now I have another question: for how long has The Watcher been there? Because I don't really see his role coexisting with Loki's purpose at the end of time, and perhaps Uatu exists in either a very far past, or a very streched future from now on. Maybe his oath to not interfere is the key to not starting another Multiversal War, and it keeps the timelines separated, each on their own way. When he fails, it leads to Kang variants, and war, and the ultimate intsallement of the TVA. Orrr maybe in the future he'll take Loki's burden of the Multiverse so we can see him happy again? :)) I don't know.
Tumblr media
The episode titles for season 2 (via CanWeGetSomeToast on twitter) didn't necessarily wake my interest, but I'll still be happy to watch them. However, the last (9th) one...
"What if...Strange Supreme intervened"
Oh welllll. Things are getting twisted. The Watcher obviously has an oath. His title is fit for his purpose : watching over the Multiverse.
But Strange Supreme doesn't have such a thing as an oath. He was driven mad my his grief for Christine. The erasure of an Absolute Point in time ultimately destroyed that entire Universe, with Strange being the last and only one left alive of it all.
And he knows how it is to have your whole world ripped apart with The Watcher, well...just watching. So he has more chances to intervene in the Multiverse than anyone else right now, even The Watcher.
I don't know how likely it is for him to do this for someone's good, but maybe his own? Who could stop him? The Watcher, yes, but not before a though fight. Strange Supreme does not have rules, or an oath to respect. He might just do it, for better OR for worse.
That being said, thanks for reading!!

Saw this gif of Benedict as Sherlock today and it reminded me of Eddie as Newt.

I don’t know why but these two just remind me of each other in these roles, and it always makes me giggle. 😆

This one though is the opposite, he starts off smiling and then goes serious and says something. Like going backwards from the top picture.

Dr Strange
Yes this is out of order. It was my friends birthday yesterday and because i can't buy them a real present i decided to review their favorite marvel movie. I only realized while watching the movie ruthlessly ripping into one of their favorite movies was a bad idea.
in this review i will avoid the normal politics and only talk about the story, i will do a second review when i reach this in the timeline and talk about mads Mikkelsen, tilda swinton, and the weird asian mysticism in this but for now just the story.
Dr Strange feels like a magical kung fu movie, granted i have not seen a lot of kung fu movies. Stephen strange is an arrogant and intelligent man who loses his job as a neuro surgeon after having severe nerve damage done to his hands. When he tries to repair his hands through magic he is thrown into a magical war and eventually solves everything. The beginning of the movie sets up strange very well, it gives you the impression strange is a man who reluctantly cares about other people. He is arrogant, rude, and cares to much about status and money. The film does not cover stranges full arc into selflessness and humility but this is only the start of his character and at least ends in a better place than he was at the beginning.
The side characters don't have much character besides mordo. Mordo is set up very well as an eventual villain and is played very well by Chiwetel Ejiofor. His motivations and mysterious backstory are amazing, and he feels like a magical cop. Wong is funny but doesn't have much of a character. The ancient one will be saved for the second political review. Christina feels more like a plot device to push steven to be better rather than an actual character. Her only interest seems to be in steven. Kaecilius is a fine villain as just a puppet of dormammu. He serves as an interesting threat to the villians and has fine enough motivation.
The tone is my only real issue with this movie. It's constant jokes cut through its more dramatic story. The jokes are quite funny on first watch through but feel awkward on rewatches. I feel like the writers and director was forced to add jokes to better fit the marvel formula. It should have just sticked to a serious tone and cut most of the jokes.
The last thing i want to praise is the makeup, stunts, and vfk departments. The makeup for cuts, bruises, stitches, and injuries feels so much better in this movie than past movies and i have no idea why because i don't know shit about makeup. The stunts and the fight scenes are creative and fluid and should win the stunts oscar. Oh, wait. The vfx departments executes the magic and touches up the fights so well. It feels fantastical and very real.
Overall dr strange is a well executed marvel movie with good drama and misplaced jokes. It is a good movie and i'm not just saying that cause my friend likes it. Y'all better say happy birthday to them.

Sherlock Holmes x daughter reader-Mini Sherlock.
Readers POV: Mini Sherlock It's a nickname I've had since I was born, you see I'm the daughter of the famous detective Sherlock Holmes, yes the famous Sherlock Holmes. Now you may be wondering what it's like to have Sherlock Holmes as a father, if I have to describe it I have one thing to say.  You never get bored except when we have no cases.
Background story / and some information about me
My name is (y.n) and I'm 18 years old, I play the violin and I love to sing.  I have short hair and the same brown hair color and curly hair as my dad. But my eyes are (y.e.c) just like my mother. I know nothing about my mother the only thing I know about her is what my father has told me.
One of the things he has told me is that he found me in a basket outside his parents' door one Christmas Eve 18 years ago and with a note.
The note Said.
Dear Sherlock Holmes this is your daughter, I have named her (y.n) and I leave her to you please take care of her I can not take care of her.  Please do not search for me.  with kind regards your J.
So the only thing I know about my mother is that she has the same eye color as me, she left me and her name starts with J.
My dad told me that when he picked me up from the basket and held me in his arms, his heart melted and he did not have to do a father test because my mother had already done one.the older I got the more like my dad I became and there it started with people starting to say that I am so like my dad.But how I got the nickname was actually during my very first case with my dad.
(Flashback)
Sherlocks POV:
Sherlock: Okay Lastrad I'm on my way.
Yes finally a new case it's like Christmas.  But wait, I have to get a babysitter or should I take her with me?I have to ask her and now that I think about it it's a little too early to get hold of a babysitter right now.  I turn around and look at the armchair where my five-year-old daughter is reading a book.
Sherlock: sweetheart dad has a new case do you want to come along or do you want me to fix a babysitter?
I've never seen her jump out of the armchair so fast ever.
YN POV:
Yes, I finally get to follow with in a case.  This will be my very first case I have asked my dad several times if I can come along but it has always been told that I have to wait until I am older.
YN:just going to get my jacket.
(A couple of minutes later)
When we arrived at the crime scene, we were met by Lestrad.  He's the only police officer I like.  The others I think are completely stupid.
Lestrad:Seriously Sherlock did you really took YN with you she's only five.
I looked up at him and took my dad's hand in mine.
Sherlock:What she wanted to go with and I did not have time to find a babysitter.
Lestrad: Okay but she has to stay behind the yellow ribbon okay.
My dad nodded and agreed, then he looked down at me and held a firm grip on my hand.  When we got to the yellow ribbon, my dad let go of my hand and told me to stay.  I nodded and saw how my father began to examine the body.  A few minutes later, my dad got up and told Lestrad.
Sherlock: This man was murdered with a string and I know with positive answers that the killer was right-handed.
Lestrad: Are you sure?
Sherlock: Am I ever wrong.
I took a closer look at the body and saw that Dad was wrong, the killer was left-handed.
YN:Dad you are actually wrong.
Both men looked at me.
Sherlock: What do you mean I'm never wrong.
YN:Well right now you'm wrong because the killer is left-handed.
He was just lookt at me.  So I started explaining that you could clearly see from the marks on his neck that the killer was left-handed, and then I also told him that the killer knew the victim because of how the victim was lying.  It was a sign that the killer regretted it.My dad just looked at me with shock in his face while Lestrad looked at my dad and started laughing.  After he had finished laughing, he said.
Lastrad: Maybe we should start calling you Mini Sherlock.
(Present)
Dad and I are sitting in the armchairs of the new apartment at 221b Baker Street.  Dad's new partner Dr Watson is sitting at his desk typing on his computer.  He has been with us in many cases, but he does not know my nickname.  I'm 18 now.  So I have been able to help more with cases.Suddenly we heard the door open and someone running up the stairs.  When we looked up we saw that it was Lestrad and we knew at once that he needed us for a new case.
Sherlock: New case?
Lestrad:Yes, a woman has been murdered and she has left a message directed at the killer.Bring  Mini Sherlock and meet me at the crime scene, I will text you the address.
Me and dad looked at each other and nodded at each other and told Lastrad that we would meet there then he went his way.  We had just put on our coats.  When Watson asked me.
Watson: Mini Sherlock?
I looked at him and sighed.
YN: Long Story.
THE END.
