#And I'm so burnt out I can't even enjoy my own life

bestie is there an update on LI harry?
ummmm hi?! here's a little something:
1 Year Later
"Babe!"
You hear Harry yell from inside your semi-detached house. You smile to yourself as you are reminded that you have the most perfect, quiet, life now with the guy you love.
It's been a whole year since the beginning of Love Island and you can't be happier that you made it out of there together - only after winning too.
The sponsorships that you both got, after coming out of the villa, have set you both up for life. Even after giving away a quarter of your money to family and another quarter to respective charities, you managed to buy a house in the country on the outskirts of London and Harry recently saved up to buy you your engagement ring.
"In the garden, lovie!" You call back.
His presence is felt before he actually speaks around you.
You are trying to catch a tan in the back garden, laying on a sun-bed. Today was supposed to get up to 25 degrees and the UV would be at 5, so it was a good opportunity to tan.
You squint one eye open to see him hover over you with an ice-cold beer in one hand and a bottle of water in the other.
"Have you got enough suncream on?" He asks, handing you the bottle of water and sitting down on the sun-bed next to you.
"Think so." You nod.
"Think so, is not good enough. Turn over." Harry instructs you, ever the bossy and concerned fiancé.
He takes a swig of his beer and puts it back down on the floor.
You hear the bottle of suncream open and you turn over and lay on your front.
"Fuck!" You squeal as the cold of the suncream meets your hot back. "Could've warned me."
Harry just chuckles and continues rubbing the suncream into your back. It was like getting a free massage. He really lathers the suncream on, so your black glistens with the stickiness of the cream, but only because he cares about you.
Next his hands land on your bum - his favourite part of your body.
He can't even lie when someone asks him what his favourite part of your body is and say your eyes. It is always going to be your ass. He claims it's too peachy for your own good.
"You having fun back there, H?" You tease, noting how long he is spending on applying suncream to your ass.
"Time of my life."
"You're going to rub all the suncream off if you keep massaging it."
"Well, then I'll just have to reapply." He hits your bum lightly to signal that he has finished. For now.
Your head it resting on one side and you watch Harry sit a bit further up on the chair so he is in line with your face. You have a hard time focusing on anything when his chest is right in your line of vision.
"What did you need me for?" You ask.
"Was gonna ask whether you wanted me to put the BBQ on and we can have burgers off the grill for dinner?" He takes another sip of his beer and it shouldn't be as hot as he makes it look.
"Sounds nice."
"Bacon too?"
"And cheese, onions and burger sauce."
"And a salad, because God knows you need to eat more greens." Harry always teases you about your lack of eating vegetables, just because you don't enjoy eating broccoli.
"Oh piss off." You laugh.
"Y'know, if I do this BBQ I'm going to need help." He leans over a bit, so he blocks the sun from your face and he's only a few centimetres in front of you. He smells like a mixture of beer, suncream and aftershave.
"And how am I going to help? I burnt our pasta last week."
"By giving me a kiss." He smirks.
"Oh really?" You tease, leaning your head up a little to close the distance between you.
"Yeah. It's been proven the best help for me."
"Hmm. Sounds a little too convenient for you."
"I don't really care."
Harry doesn't let you bicker back, because he's cupped the back of your neck and pulled you towards his lips. The kiss is messy and ungraceful, considering the positions your both sat in, but you make it work. Your lips work over Harry's deliciously and he doesn't break away until he's satisfied. Your lips both tinge a little afterwards and not because of the sun.
"Will never get over the way you make me feel." Harry says.
"Thanks for finding me." You kiss him again, but just a little one this time.
"And thanks for loving me."
You smile at him as you watch the love transfer between him and yourself. The feelings will always be magical between you both.
"Now go make me my burger." You flop back down on the sun-bed.
Harry slaps you on your ass for the attitude, but you were expecting it so it only makes you laugh.
"Bossiest fiancé in the world." He mumbles as he leaves, making you fall in love with him a little more.

IT'S NEVER OVER - PROLOGUE (sept. 2005)
Tumblr media
summary: if anyone asked sid, he wouldn't say that he liked pittsburgh more after meeting nat. no, that would be absurd.
warnings: short and sweet! (none)
a/n: hi, hello! am i posting this without having finished it? yes. i don't know how long it's going to be but i'm slowly chipping away at it and i'm pretty excited about it. it might even be my favourite series thing i've done so far, and weirdly my first one? i've had the entire thing outlined for months but i've been too busy to even think about posting it, so...here you go! i can't promise posts for this will be regular because the chapters are so long, but i'll try my best to keep you posted! hope you enjoy (a series mastrlist will be out soon too so you can get the gist of where i'm at in the entire process) xo
sneak peak | pinterest board
(It started with music, but Nat didn’t know that.)
It was a total accident, a random encounter that Sidney couldn’t possibly have predicted – one that, without exaggerating, changed his life to an extent. On a whim, he’d decided to go into that coffee shop he’d walked past everyday for the past three weeks, and it was also on a whim he actually made it to the counter to order an uncharacteristic coffee – he was newly eighteen, being pulled in all sorts of sports-diet directions, the confinement of which kind of irked him, so to him, buying that coffee was a subtle rebellion.
It was also a complete accident that he’d wandered off to the right after taking his coffee from the counter, instead of left, or forwards, or even backwards.
Sidney wasn’t one to believe in fate or destiny: he believed those terms were too magical – they alluded to some other worldly forces coming into play, and he liked to stick to facts. Coincidences. Accidents. Nevertheless, he did find it almost inexplicable, the way that his life hurtled into a completely different route after a mere forty minutes inside a coffee shop that he’d just spontaneously decided to make a trip of. He couldn’t quite get his head around it all.
To him, it was a coincidence that he’d walked past her table. A coincidence that she happened to be blaring the only song he’d been able to listen to for the last four days. He’d barely made it three steps past her before he froze.
She was wearing those over-the-ear headphones, the ones with orange sponges from the 80s, plugged into the iPod that had come out a few years back. He recognised it because everyone that had one in his high school before he left never shut up about it. Sidney admittedly did own one at the time, but he never really felt the need to show it off  – it was much easier than lugging around a cassette or CD player with songs burnt in.
The song still had him halting in his tracks and turning around, his body much further ahead than his brain because he had to steady his mug of coffee; his sharp actions had the liquid almost sloshing over the edge, but he managed to catch it just in time.
He wouldn’t have done either of those things: stop and turn, if it had been any other song he’d heard. He was just so taken aback by it – the exact, precise song.
The girl at the table didn’t pay him a single dime of attention when he froze, despite the fact that his hip was practically nudging her table. She wasn’t even looking in his direction, her eyes gazing out of the window on her right, skipping over empty faces as people walked past. It was clear she was supposed to be doing work of some sorts: there were textbooks, novels, and flashcards scattered across the entire table, a pencil case half emptied with pens strewn all over. She had a pen clutched in the fist she was resting her chin on, not caring for the study cards at all – entirely enamoured by the view.
Sidney followed her eyes. There wasn’t much to look at, just a street, and her chair was directly facing the side of a retail store, clothes and mannequins displayed in the window.
In hindsight, Sidney didn’t really know what compelled him to do what he did next.
He couldn’t tell if she was bored and just looking out, not paying attention to the music flowing into her ears, or if she was just so absorbed in what she was hearing that she couldn’t physically bring herself to think about her work – that she’d tuned out the outside world entirely.
What caught his attention the most was the crease between her brows. It drew him to look straight at her; an alluring combination of chestnut hair and pale eyes – though not too pale that they made him uneasy. She was also probably the only person in the establishment that was around his age.
She had impeccable music taste, if he did say so himself.
Yet, he couldn’t shake the inkling that this girl was wholly feeling the brilliance and soul-crushing heartache of Jeff Buckley’s genius – and he found himself hoping she was.
That was why he cleared his throat and took a small step to the other side of the table. He threw a quick glance over his shoulder, noting that the cafe was pretty busy, so he knew he could at least try to get away with what he was about to do.
He made sure to tilt his head up, because the hat covering his face would be nothing short of slightly suspicious in a public setting, and it wasn’t until he purposefully knocked into the chair that she flicked her eyes to look at him.
He held his breath, a moment when all they did was look at each other, until the crease in her brows disappeared and she reached to pause her music on her iPod, slowly sliding her earphones off so they rested around her neck.
“Hi.”
His assumptions had been correct. She was around his age – her voice was deeper than he’d originally anticipated – and when he found himself slightly closer than before, he was able to make out that she was studying for her SATs.
It was September.
“Hi.” He replied, forcing a smile that he hoped would convey the apology he felt for intruding on her personal time and in her personal space. Her clutter was all over the table, and he knew that if she was hopefully as kind to strangers as he hoped she’d to be, that it would be somewhat of a hassle to shove some of it away, “I’m really sorry, but there aren’t any other tables free. Would I be able to–”
“Oh, sure.” She interrupted, immediately going to reach to sweep a space clear for him over the other side of the table. Sidney watched with a mildly amused gaze; she didn’t seem to care for the way her flashcards seemed to mix themselves up, or the way her textbooks snapped shut and she lost her page.
She flashed him a welcoming, slightly embarrassed smile as she piled the books on top of each other, and before Sidney knew it, he was sitting in the chair opposite, accidentally knocking their knees together in the process, and sipping from his coffee mug. He fought to maintain the thankful smile on his face, despite the utterly bitter taste of the coffee that seemed to fester on his tongue.
No wonder he’d never tried coffee before, it tasted like dirt.
The girl broke a small chunk of a muffin off, a smile breaking out on her face as she fought a small laugh.
Sidney blushed, “I’m not a big coffee-fan.” He reasoned, shrugging.
“I can tell.” She pressed her lips together momentarily, looking down at the plate before turning her attention back to him. Sidney felt stunned at the colour of her eyes. He’d never seen grey eyes before, but hers seemed to balance more on the green side – only when the sun struck the side of her face, they turned a watery, clear blue. There was also a tinge of brown thrown in there.
What was that called? Heterochromia?
He felt his mouth dry, and before he could stop himself, he was taking another sip of his coffee, this time managing to control the urge to wince, “Thanks for letting me sit here.”
She shrugged, gathering the flashcards and lining them up, “It’s no problem. Sorry for the mess.”
He let his eyes wander over the books once more, the green ‘SATs’ letters jumping out at him, “You got an important date?”
The girl swallowed, not entirely understanding what he meant. That crease formed between her brows again, and she opened her mouth to question him, but Sidney beat her to it, a finger pointing at her stack of books.
She sighed, “Not entirely, they’re at the end of the school year, but one of my teachers gave us an assignment to get some study material done early.”
Sidney couldn’t say he understood her stress – it was something displayed across the planes of her face; evident when she looked rather tiredly at the stack of books, and hesitated at the flashcards, before throwing them to the side. She folded her arms across the table, then switched so that her hands were interlocked in front of her.
She looked as though she didn’t quite know what to do with herself, and Sidney couldn’t tell if it was because of the presence of a stranger, or if she was already feeling some sort of academic guilt for throwing her attention away from her studies for a couple of minutes.
He saw her jaw clench, and at that observation, the thought that maybe he was paying a little bit too much attention to her crossed his mind, so he turned his focus to the cup of coffee. He was beginning to feel its effects; his knee was shaking softly under the table and he could feel an influx of energy spark at his fingertips. Or maybe it wasn’t the coffee at all.
He hadn’t thought about hockey for five minutes.
He saw her turn her face towards him out of the corner of his eye, and he looked up, “What about you? Are you in school, or…?” She trailed off, her eyes skimming over the logo that had flashed itself from the safe and unzipped confines of his hoodie.
He felt his heart quicken at having been caught, worried that perhaps she’d shout out who he was – if she knew – across the entire cafe. He remained optimistic; she didn’t seem the type.
He cleared his throat, “Not anymore.” For some reason he hesitated. He could play off the logo as merchandise – he could be someone other than Sidney Crosby, the New Rookie of the Pens – or he could be honest. When he looked back at her, there was a challenge in her eyes, and Sidney knew then that she already knew who he was. “I just got drafted to the Pens for my first NHL season.”
She sighed, “Can I tell you something?”
Sidney furrowed his brows, his mouth tilting down in a smile. He was new to the whole ‘local celebrity’ deal, but this by far, is probably one of the least impressed reactions he’d ever had. She clearly knew he wasn’t in school, but had still taken the kind courtesy to ask him the question, despite the futility of it.
He nodded.
“I only know one Pens player.” Then she pointed to something out of the window, “That banner has been staring at me every week for the past three months.”
Sidney huffed a laugh, thinking she was joking, but followed her finger anyway. He was immediately faced with a street corner, tens of people walking past each other – he could even make out their voices if he concentrated hard enough, and it took a while to figure out what exactly she was pointing at, until his eyes settled on a billboard at least a block down.
He’d been told that for press reasons, the Pens had come up with the idea of a way of promoting him as a player, and a ‘person of Pittsburgh’, by plastering some action shots of him – still staged – around the city. He’d neglected to look up lately, fearing that if he did, he’d be faced with some images of himself, but he hadn’t escaped that entirely.
The billboard was small, and he wasn’t the only player on there, either, but he saw it nonetheless.
When he spun back around to look at her once more, the only thing that came out of his mouth was, “There’s two other players, not just me.”
She shrugged, “I was talking about Sergei Gonchar.”
Sidney felt the blush colour from his chest to his cheeks as he slowly put his hands over his face, consumed by humiliation. He felt himself smile into his hands when he heard the girl huff a snicker. He’d had quite a few people as of late kissing up to his ego, and apart from his teammates, she was the first one to really deliver a considerable blow – and he was thankful for that; that at least someone still had the ability to look past who he was and tease him like he was a normal person. He was aware of the irony that lay there.
He gathered himself, unabashedly removing his hands and displaying the creeping blush for her to see, and sticking his hand between them, “Sidney Crosby, rookie center for the Pittsburgh Penguins.”
She rolled her eyes, not commenting on the state of his cheeks, her smile fading slightly but still remaining, “I was joking, I know who you are.” She took his hand in hers, gripping it tightly, “Nat Brooks. Student.”
Sidney swallowed, his blush remaining for other reasons, and pulled his hand away, flexing it under the table, “Is Nat short for anything?”
“Natalia.”
“‘S very pretty.” He mumbled, and she smiled sweetly.
“Sidney’s very pretty, too. It suits you.”
Something clenched in his chest.

i love ur blog!! it would be super cool if u did a norm x reader but the reader is like a wastelander/from the wastelands or something like that!!
content fluff, first kiss :3, both reader and norm are weird little things he's just more sexually inclined, gn!reader, chubby!reader
note(s) thank you so much for the kind words ;-; i hope you enjoy this !!
It's been three weeks since you joined the rag-tag group. Two vault dwellers, a ghoul, an ex-BOS member, and a wasterlander. Sounds like the beginning to one of The Ghoul's bad jokes. He calls them dad jokes but since over half of you didn't have a dad the idea was lost to the sand. Plopping down you go through your nearly empty pack.
"I think me and The Ghoul should go on a supply run."
Your voice rose to speak over the horrid wind pelting small clouds of sand into the side of the burnt-out husk of a house. Everyone looks you over and immediately starts speaking over each other to argue about the dangers of leaving into the storm. Raising a hand you let out a short shout to gain attention which works wonders.
"I've lived in this desert all my life I know how to keep sand away from my skin, I'll be fine. The Ghoul is pretty much unkillable. We need food. My pack is empty."
You try to sound reasonable. It's been days of your group being holed up in this shithole and honestly, you wanted out of there even for a little. As close as you have grown to each member of the group you barely have any time to yourself anymore.
"What if you get lost?"
"It's a small neighborhood, I'll be fine. I promise."
"You can't promise that and you know it."
Norm's voice chastises you despite his face hiding his true concern. You knew he just wanted what was best for you. Him being the one person you opened up to the most. His easygoing attitude and similar resting face made it nice to tell him about any worries. And you had a lot especially living on the surface. Something he was slowly becoming accustomed to.
"Why not take one of us instead?"
Lucy speaks up. Her eyes search your face, hoping you'll change your mind.
"The only one I would be willing to take is Max, but he's out of commission."
You point to his leg which sits propped on a toppled bookshelf. Trying to save Lucy from a radscorpion cost him a rolled ankle.
"The Ghoul is no-nonsense, he'll get us in and out, and if he doesn't... I'm sure youse guys can win a 4 v 1."
You give a wide smile showing them that you mean what you say. You just wanted to get this over with. You've been thinking about this for hours now. Watching as your already small assortment of supplies dwindled.
"Please, just let us go."
"Don't I get a say in this sweetheart?"
"No. You want 'ta find their dad as much as the rest of us. Not me, I'm here for all the warm company."
You roll your eyes and sling your pack over your shoulder. Norm stands just as quick nearly shoving you over in the process. You steady yourself against his bicep. Only for a second before you yank your hand back as a warm heat burns your cheeks. You walk around the room collecting anything you might need. An extra pair of pants wrap around your face. Nice and snug according to Lucy. Making eye contact with Norm you feel the need to look away. His eyes are so expressive and they're begging you to stay. You go to give him an awkward hug hoping to make the feeling in your stomach go away. He doesn't bite and gently untangles the fabric from around your jaw. Your goggles skew your peripheral but you know everyone is staring. You can't hear the mumbling as he leans forward. You can't even hear the wind whipping broken glass into the side of your hideout. You struggle to hear anything over the roaring of blood rushing to flood your head. Especially when his lips connect with yours. You lived a hard life and went through unimaginable pain, but this kiss, even for a moment, made you forget everything and everyone. His lips were so soft a stark contrast to the sharp broken skin of your own. Your hands lay limp at your side as you attempt to kiss back. This was all quite foreign to you but you wanted to make it work. Needed to make it work. Deep down.
"Come back to us. To me, please." He whispers directly against your lips.
Reaching up he ignores Lucy's inquisitive eyes as he gathers the untangled mess of denim. Slowly he affixes it back together and into a tight shield against the elements. He gives your cheek one quick squeeze through the thick layer. You thank the cover because you couldn't stand letting everyone see your grin even if Norm picked up on your eyes crinkling. Turning around you opt to look at the floor as you walk over to the strong oak door. Luckily the wood stayed mostly strong for these past 200-odd years with only a corner piece missing. Flinging the door open you call back to The Ghoul to hurry up as you disappear into the screaming darkness.

I think it's insane that after the final Agni Kai, Zuko was able to tank a hyper-powered lightning bolt (I mean, tank in the way he was still moving after getting hit, even if it was just groans of pain and slight twitching). He just got healed by Katara for about 5 seconds and was A-OK afterward.
When Aang got struck by lightning, he was in a coma for like what? Almost a month? And you're telling me Zuko gets struck by lightning, and 5 minutes later, is walking around like it never happened? Sorry, I can't believe that.
But Sno, you say, Aang was in his most fragile state. Of course, he was in a month long coma after he basically died. Okay, and I think that Zuko being hit by a lightning bolt 100x more powerful than the one Aang got hit by would also put Zuko in a coma; especially because Katara doesn't have the spirit water to bring him back to life. Unlike Aang, Zuko only gets regular water, not magic water, to heal him.
"But, but Zuko redirected it," you say. Uh no, Zuko wasn't grounded, so that shit still hit him like a damn truck. He redirected some of it, but not all of it. I would probably say that it burnt him from the inside out. It's a miracle that in LOK, that man is still kicking it and being a badass in his early 90s. He should have serious heart issues, if not have died in his 70s at the absolute latest. The man should not be kicking ass in the poles. He should be on bed rest.
In conclusion, Zuko should have been in a coma for like at least a year (realistically he should be dead, but this is a kids show where the main characters aren't allowed to die, so I'll let it slide) and I will stand by that.
If you wanna read how the creators could have worked with comatose Zuko, read under the cut. If not, then I hope you enjoyed my little rant. This post got longer than I thought.
Here's how the creators could have dealt with comatose Zuko and the potential storylines our other favorites could have had at the end of book 3 and a majority of the potential and nonexistent book 4:
Aang is having to deal with the consequences of Ozai being left alive, as I'm sure the Earth Kingdom and the Water Tribes would not like that fact. As well as their newest Fire Lord currently being in a comatose state. They barely trusted Zuko. Are you telling me they're gonna trust The Dragon of the West? (More on this at the end) And maybe Aang would actually get some character development, unlike in season 3.
I don't think Sokka, Suki, and Toph would have storylines that center Zuko all that much, but they would also definitely be mourning the semi-loss of Zuko along with whatever storyline they get. Maybe Sokka and Suki can have conflict in their relationship now that the war is over and they might physically have to go their own ways. Toph can probably wonder where she can go from here. Will she try and reconcile with her parents again? Will she travel with Aang once Zuko wakes up? Will she stay in the Fire Nation and help Zuko sniff out traitors with her seismic sense? Needless to say, the 3 of them have endless opportunities.
Katara is now dealing with the guilt of not only having put Zuko in that position in the first place, but also not being able to fully heal him (even though he would have done that for anyone, not just her). And if you're a Zutara shipper, like myself, even realizing potential feelings and the conflict that comes with that. Or if we still wanna go through with the canon ending of Kataang, have her navigate her feelings about Aang properly and not whatever that original canon ending was. And if we wanna go the "Katara doesn't need a man" route (my personal favorite despite my shipping tendencies), she could try and navigate where she goes from here, like Toph. Obviously, she'll go back to the Southern Water Tribe and help out there, but what comes after they've recovered? She's not the type to stand by and settle when there are other people who need her help. Will she go to the Earth Kingdom and help rebuild there? Go to the Fire Nation and help out there? Become an ambassador of the Southern Water Tribe to help better relations with the other nations? (My personal favorite) The possibilities are endless for her.
But you know who would be affected the most? Iroh. Not only did he (kinda) lose his nephew, who was his second son, but he now has to deal with the diplomatic repercussions of his past as a general of the Fire Nation. Like I said before, the Earth Kingdom and the Water Tribes barely trusted Zuko; no way in hell are they gonna trust the man that laid seige to Ba Sing Se for nearly 2 whole years, regardless if he's the reason the city was freed from Fire Nation control. The pressure Iroh would feel from advisors regarding the fact that his only heir is comatose would increasingly get worse as the months go by. We know that Zuko will wake up, but Iroh and the rest of the cast don't. Iroh is dealing with the fracturing Fire Nation and pressure from the Earth Kingdom and the Water Tribes, all while his son is in a coma. He could see what he was going to have Zuko face by himself with no support around him. What would he do with Ozai? Would be a major question throughout the season.
Of course, in the end, Zuko wakes up because we want a happy ending for them all. But the turmoil we could have gotten in the end would have been *chefs kiss*

Hey, I just read your aib fics and I really enjoyed them. So if it’s alright with you, can I ask for chishiya and Niragi with a burnout s/o who is unmotivated even though she actually has potential. Ty!:)
hello? is this a comeback? i'm actually not sure, i've been in the mood to write and decided to try and get back in the groove with one of the old requests sitting in my inbox. this may be a little rusty, but here it is (a year or so late, sorry!) also, totally had to relearn tumblr formatting lol
this is kind of all over the place but i think it's decent for my first time writing in a year and a half!
notes: chishiya's is pre-borderland, both are in college :)
warnings: maybe ooc chishiya? idk
niragi and chishiya with a burnt out s/o

the burnout wasn't sudden, so he had seen you at your peak
you had been a top performer at whatever you put your mind to. in your case, it had been your studies
both of you were going into similar fields, so he knew how tedious the work could be. even so, you managed to do it diligently and relatively painlessly
he had seen your love for learning firsthand. it was a common event to go out to lunch together and hear you ramble about whatever your professor lectured about that day
things didn't take a turn fast, but he was observant
he noticed your enthusiasm drop ever so slightly. the stars in your eyes dimmed over time and certain subjects turned into taboo topics around you
your usual "i wonder what we'll be learning today" turned into "professor's lesson will probably be useless again"
it seemed that you weren't even noticing it yourself with how subtle the change was. it happened over a few months and took you by surprise
all of a sudden, you were questioning everything about your life
"i should just drop out"
"what's the point anyway?"
these questions soon became a daily thing
soon enough, you stopped showing up to your daily lunches with him
chishiya likes to give off the impression that he couldn't care less. and for most people, that's the truth. but you aren't most people, and he genuinely cares about you
so of course he's concerned the first time you cancel on him.
he had shown up at the usual meeting spot and waited for you for at least ten minutes before he sent you a text. you were always punctual, so this was very out of the norm
your response was "sorry, had something come up. maybe next time?"
he decided to accept it, but before he knew it, next time never came
before either of you knew it, the things you loved to do soon became a chore
you came to dread school and stopped showing up at all. your motivation was in the gutter and the things that came easy in the past were now the hardest things ever
it felt like you were dragging yourself around. you were forgetful and the littlest things began to get under your skin
the worst part about it? you knew you could do better, you just couldn't bring yourself to perform the way you used to
chishiya knows you have potential. he had seen it himself. because you're important to him, he's willing to do what it takes to nurture that potential back into what it once was.
is chishiya the best at talking about feelings? definitely not. but he's clever and understands people at the deepest part of their core. he'll flip a tactic usually used for his own gain into something to help you out
he isn't very direct about what he's doing, he just kind of shows up one day and does it
he'll ask you about your classes and what you like and don't like. he brings it up as small talk but takes mental notes to bring up later
when you spout out something negative or cynical about your classes, he tries to guide you into a position where you'll have to reframe it into something positive
"god, i just can't stand this subject. i don't understand why they bring it up so often"
cue his tactful reply "if you know so much, won't it be easy for you to best anybody else there if the occasion arises?"
"yeah... i guess you're right."
he'll start walking you to class when he has the time to, that way you don't have an excuse to not go to school
chishiya prefers a hands-off approach. he cares about your feelings, but he would much rather observe from a distance and discreetly help you. he's not much for mushy-gushy stuff like a talk about your feelings
when he finally starts noticing your motivation spiking a bit, he couldn't be more relieved
if anybody were to ask him, he would verbally tell them that he was just grateful he wouldn't have to put up with you anymore (but we all know that isn't true :) deep down he only wants you to be the best person you can be)
overall...
chishiya loves you, truly. despite common belief among your peers, he doesn't want to see you fail and will do what he can to assist you given he doesn't have to talk to you about it face-to-face

putting this as nicely as possible? niragi is dogshit when it comes to noticing stuff like this
unlike chishiya, if you want him to help you, you're going to have to be the one to tell him how you're doing
niragi is a very physical person, but lacks on the emotional side, so he can be a little intimidating if you want to talk about stuff like that
when you come up to him and break the news that you're starting to get burnt out, he really doesn't know how to respond at first
you had been doing fine, so what's with this all of a sudden?
he thinks your emotions are sudden and off-putting. he doesn't realize that they've been brewing for a while
maybe if he weren't a militant it would be different, but his priorities are all over the place
he enjoys running around the place with a gun, but he also enjoys his time with you. it's a little hard for him to balance both
when you finally sit him down and explain, he starts to get it
even if he finds it sudden, he's willing to listen. you're his partner after all, his self-proclaimed number one
you explained to him how tired you were from the games. how exhausted your mind was and how difficult it was to drag yourself out of your room on game days
considering you had been a high-ranking member due to how many cards you raked in during your stay at the beach, he was kind of thrown off
he didn't expect you to be struggling with the thing you were best at, but oh boy is he devoted to getting you back to where you were prior to your burnout
niragi will cut any corner and destroy anything in his way to achieve a goal. especially if that goal pertains to you
niragi is majorly possessive of you. if he knows you're unhappy, his brain immediately jumps to the thought that it will lead to you being unhappy with him. he doesn't like this thought, so he will fix it no matter what
he'll get you your favorite things. you want something specific for dinner? he'll go into the kitchen and threaten the cooks to make it. he notices somebody stressing you out or giving you a hard time? it's safe to say you won't be seeing them anytime soon
his way of dealing with your burnout is just trying to make you as happy as possible. he thinks that happiness will motivate you more, which will get you back in the groove
niragi understands very well how good you are at what you do, which is partly why he tries so hard
you had talent. one of the very few that did well at almost any type of game, not matter the suit
you shined brightest while doing your best, and damn does niragi love to see you shine
seeing you outplay everybody else gives him a thrill that can't be matched, which is the entire reason he got infatuated with you in the first place
overall...
while it may not be the healthiest mentality, niragi likes you the most when you're in top condition. it reminds him of why he fell for you and chose you out of anybody in the beach
when you're at your best and he's at his best, you could basically rule the world
because of these specific things, once he's aware of your burnout, he won't rest until you're feeling better

Spoiling You With All My Might -- Comte Collection Story Translation
I've been meaning to post this one for a while, as it's honestly in my top ten Comte events of all time. For this Collection story event, it was basically all the suitors comforting MC when she's stressed/tired/overworked. And lbr, who doesn't need that in their life?
Enjoy everyone, and just a reminder that I'm no professional--I just translate these for my own enjoyment. Without further ado:
In the early afternoon, when the hands on the clock are pointing to 3pm-- I was alone drinking tea in a quiet kitchen. (I’ve been busy lately…I think I’m a little burnt out.) My cup of tea was already empty, but somehow I didn’t have the energy to stand up-- Comte: MC, are you taking a break? Turning around revealed Comte standing in the middle of the doorway.
Okay but like. I gotta say just the thought of him peeking around the corner is killing me, he's the cutest man alive I swear
But also. Now I'm wondering if he's lowkey like IS IT MEOW MEOW TIME? MEOW MEOW T I M E!!!!!! pounces on the opportunity for quality time. Somehow that's even more adorable I'm going to explode from uwus
MC: Indeed I am. Would you like to have some tea, too? Comte: That’s an attractive invitation, but if you don’t mind, would you spend some time with me for a little while after this? MC: Go out with you…? Comte: I’m thinking of going for a walk. Would you like to join me? His hand was outstretched in a gentlemanly gesture that touched/eased my heart. MC: Haha, I’d love to.
I laughed a little at this because I'm definitely the kind of person that's like "omg pls, you are not beating the silly goose allegations!!!" over him being all suave over a walk together but. At the same time. HEART EYES M-- King of romantics everywhere. Gentleman of my heart. Mellifluous seducer have MERCY
More under the cut!
Comte’s escort led me to a forest a short walking distance from the mansion. As I walk alongside him, the sunbeams penetrate through the trees as they sway with the breeze. Comte: The weather is lovely today, making it a perfect occasion for a walk. MC: You’re right…the wind feels nice, too. As I walked slowly listening to the rustling trees, I could feel the fatigue/tension draining out of me little by little. (It feels like my heart is being cleansed. It’s so soothing…) Comte: … It was then that I noticed Comte gazing at me calmly.
As somebody who used to be plus ultra literally every minute of my life, this made me so softe inside. The way he cares so much about her ;-; he really said "I will die before I disrespect a girlboss, but also. I am here. For to help PLS. Also a crumb of attention...p l swleseskje...."
(Ah…by any chance) MC: Comte Comte: Yes? MC: …You invited me out for a change of pace, didn’t you? Comte smiled softly at my words. Comte: I just wanted to take a walk with you like this.
I do love how, especially in recent events, MC notices his gestures more and more 🥺💛💛💛💛💛💛 I think it's really cute that he wants to be sneaky sweet and supportive, and whenever she realizes it he's like. C'est moi? You're not fooling anyone pretty boy!!! I know you have brain cells up there!!! But also the sincerity in that last line, of how he really does also just want to spend some time with her. How he's always saying the most wonderful thing she can give him is her time.
Just put my body out to sea I can't do this anymore--
I was enveloped in the sound of his voice, warming my heart, and my feet stopped involuntarily. Comte: MC? MC: Every time you treat me so kindly like this…I’m so happy I could cry Jokingly, Comte turned around and spread his coat. Comte: If you want to do so, that’s okay too MC: Huh… Comte: After all, there is no one here but us. If you want to cry, you can cry. Comte wrapped me gently in his open coat and murmured in my ear. Comte: Like this, there will be no trace of tears left behind. MC: Oh… (It’s okay to cry…that’s not something you hear very often when you’re fully grown.) (Just hearing him say that in such a sweet voice makes my heart feel lighter…) (Comte really is amazing)
Honestly this part just made me melt, I have no words--I'm down bad fellas. We love a man who encourages his partner that its safe to be vulnerable 😭🙏🏼
But also I feel the need to say. Comte don't offer this to me because from that point on I will live in your coat. It will no longer be 'Comte's nice coat,' but rather:
Tumblr media
MC: Thank you. But…Aren’t you spoiling me too much? When I looked up and asked him, he leaned over to drop a kiss to my forehead… MC: Oh… Comte: I see. I think I don’t spoil you enough. Comte’s long fingers reached out to wipe my eyes gently. Comte: MC, I love everything about you. Comte: Your fatigue and your tears, don’t forget that it’s my privilege to soothe them with these hands. He gazes deeply into my eyes, and I can’t help how my heart races in response.
So like. Do you ever just cry and die. Because.
Tumblr media
I'm like somewhere between "WE GOT A 2319!!!!!!!!!" and inches from professing my eternal love and loyalty like some kind of lovelorn knight too afraid to even touch the radiance of their beloved. Comte how on earth am I supposed to look at you without being blinded. Sun that's too bright!!!!! That's too b r i g h t!
I just. "Your fatigue and your tears, don’t forget that it’s my privilege to soothe them with these hands." [muffled wailing noises] Did I ASK--
Mfer out here like 'oh the terrible fate of being tied to me for eternity' meanwhile every second of being with him is either dizzyingly passionate or like being wrapped up in the warmest, fluffiest blankie imaginable. I HAVE TO S T A N SIR--
MC: Ah, if you spoil me so much, I’m afraid I won’t be able to do anything on my own anymore. Comte smiled a little as I laughed deceptively in the hopes of hiding how delighted I was. Comte: That’s great. I’d love to see that, myself. The fingers that had been stroking my eyes slipped down my cheek to touch my lips. Comte: If you can’t manage to walk alone--I’ll be there to hold you up, and walk alongside you. His sweet whisper ends when his lips gently cover mine. MC: Mn… In the midst of his enveloping kiss, I gently entrusted my body to the person dearest to me--
Can I just ?????? Say????? How much I love MC being teasing/catty with him as the events go on. I LOVE it here. I think I really like how she grows into her own strength, and how she feels comfortable expressing her shyness without ceding that integrity. One thing I've noticed that I love in relationships is this ability to air grievances in a playful way, where the stakes are low--but the person can still express their feelings and be comforted. I think I like how it's not about putting pressure on the person, but getting it out in the open and resolved all the same. It just fills me with warm fuzzies c:
Also. "If you can’t manage to walk alone--I’ll be there to hold you up, and walk alongside you." Like not to beat a dead horse, but wow. Pretty sure this metaphysically changed me as a person. Thanks, I will never be the same. True love exists, [unhinged barking noises], etc etc

So, this is it, huh?
I figured the least I could do was write something down before shit goes down because I know after tomorrow I don't think I'll be emotionally available to do or say much about the show and what it and the fanbase means to me.
The last few days, my mind has been a whirlwind of emotions and I don't think I've ever really suspended my disbelief since it was announced that this would be the last season.
I felt like Po honestly, in Kung Fu Panda 2, when he's like "But I just got Kung Fu!" when they're talking about Lord Shen making that weapon that straight-up kills people who practice Kung Fu (I'm going somewhere with this just bear with me-) because I'm fairly new to the animated shows of Star Wars fandom and didn't start hyperfixating on Bad Batch until midway through Season 2 while those episodes were still releasing.
So when they announced that the 3rd season was the final season I was devastated. "What do you mean no more Bad Batch? I just got Bad Batch!" - I didn't want to believe it.
But here we are. Final season. Final episode.
I can't describe how the obsession started. It just did.
When the first season was coming out, I was still on Season 6 of TCW, so I got into it a little late. Then when it was over I immediately jumped into watching Rebels and became utterly obsessed with that show while Bad Batch just stayed, "Oh, neat show I watched."
Then the second season came out. I don't know how or when or why but suddenly something just went off in my brain and I became obsessed. I became attached. I fell in love with Wrecker in a way that I've never once felt or experienced towards any other fictional character, or person for that matter. I grew to understand Crosshair on a deeper level that made my heart ache for him and made me reflect on my own past and choices. Echo became a comfort character and an anchor in my life in where he's the first thing I think of when I'm down to put myself in a better mood. Suddenly I was ready to give Omega the universe and everything good in it. Tech became a lifelife (ironically) a hope that despite how I am and who I am, I'm capable of loving and being loved. And recently I've become so incredibly attached to Hunter because as the oldest child of five as well, I know that crushing weight of responsibility. Of failing your siblings. Of trying to be better.
This squad. This family. Cheesy as it is, I can't describe what they mean to me but Force, I'll try.
Recently I've been wondering why I'm so attached to this show and these characters. Jokingly, part of it is yes, the Bad Batch are lovely to look at and that does play a role in why I enjoy watching the show so much, but that's not completely it.
I think I speak for a lot of us fans when I say that I didn't fit in as a kid. I still don't even as an 'adult.' Look, I'm a biracial guy from two VERY different cultures that don't feel like home to me. On top of that, half of the time I don't know how to identify myself in gender and sexuality because I don't feel either most of the time. I'm introverted. I have anxiety. I probably have autism. I'm a burnt-out former gifted kid. I quite simply don't fit in.
"No, I'll stay. You guys don't fit in here either."
That? Yeah.
This show is for all those kids. Everyone who never fit in. Everyone who was told they were strange or weird, for the kids who ate glue in the back of the classroom, who were told they were too loud, who were put down because they didn't express emotion a certain way, for the kids who sat alone at lunch, who got left behind in their friend groups, for the kids who felt like they had no one so turned to harmful things, for the kids who were told they were special only to be discarded later in life, for the kids who don't know their place, don't know where they fit in and if they even do or ever will.
It's a show that tells those kids you're more than that. You're worth it. You're worth loving. You're worth protecting. You're worth the second chance. You're worth being loyal to. You're worth teaching. You're worth forgiving. You're worth it. You're worth it. You're worth it.
In the end there's hope for us. There's hope for all of us. And I think that's why I cling to tightly to this show. Why it means so much to me. Why I so desperately need these characters to make it out alive.
It's what Star Wars was from the start. About hope. About family. About loving and being loved and learning to love despite your circumstances. It's a show that took a bunch of neurodivergent absolute daddies and packed in so much angst but also feel-good moments with stunning animation, beautiful, moving music, and phenomenal voice acting. It's a show I can't help but love and love immensely because it feels like it was written for me.
For that kid who spent their recesses with their nose buried in an animal encyclopedia or talking to imaginary characters from their favorite books. For that kid who always felt so utterly useless and hopeless whenever they got less than an A- for a grade because they were supposed to be the gifted one. For the kid who struggled so much to be the older sibling they never asked to be. For the kid who just wants to find someone, anyone, who will love them as they are and fight for them. For the kid who valued loyalty above all else, always has, always will, and never gets it in return. For the kid who never fit in.
And well, whatever happens in the finale, I'm so grateful, so blessed, and so honored to have been a part of this journey with all of you.

Nails And Croissants
Word Count: 2.5k words
Summary: Harry and Willow go to get their nails done
This is just a short little thing to get the feel of how I wanna write the characters in a book that I'm planning. I an really excited about this and I hope that when I get to posting the actual chapters, you guys are going to like them and love them too.
This blurb is obviously way down the line from where the story is going to start but I wanted to give you guys a small taste of them.
This is also not that carefully written and is probably messy af, but I hope you still enjoy reading it.
if you wanna read more of my work, I have it all linked on my masterlist.
Any feedback would be greatly appreciated and if you have any requests please feel free to give them to me and I will do my absolute best to do it.
Tumblr media
Harry Styles Butterflies erupt in my stomach when I catch her eyes across the room.
The sunlight beaming in through the windows of the small nail salon makes the lighter strands of her brown hair look golden.
"What are you getting?", I ask her once she's sat down at the table right next to mine.
Her cheeks tint an adorable shade of pink when Willow's nail tech for today, Aspen, sets the bottles of nail polish Willow's chosen for today. "I swear it wasn't on purpose," she hurries out, her eyes flicking between the colours next to my own hands.
"Damn. And here I was getting excited thinking you wanted to match with me," I say with a playful roll of my eyes.
The laugh she lets slip is like music to my ears, and all I want to do is lay a kiss on her pretty, pink lips. But Mona coating my nails with a clear layer of base polish prevents me from doing so.
Instead, I settle on storing the image of Willow's face scrunched up with joy and laughter to memory. Her freckled, sun-kissed skin and the smile that doesn't just light up the room but my whole entire life.
"You're an idiot," Willow giggles, letting Aspen arrange her hands the way she needs them.
"I'm your idiot, though.", I remind her. To my delight, my words have another heartbreakingly beautiful break out on her face as she mouths 'I love you'.
Out of my peripheral vision, I can see Mona and Aspen exchange a look as I mouth 'I love you' back.
And God do I love her.
I never thought that I would ever be the kind of man who happily takes his girlfriend to get a manicure on my day off feeling like my heart is about to fucking burst from the love that's flooding it. The part of my heart I had tried so hard to keep under lock and key to protect it from being burnt again. But instead, Willow came along and took it in her soft hands. The calm of the sea in her eyes is all I needed to see before I let her.
"You ok, baby?" Willow asks, a crease of concern between her eyebrows.
Clearing my throat, I offer her a genuine smile, "Yeah, Blue. I'm ok." I can tell that she isn't entirely convinced, so I add; "Was just thinking about how lucky I am to have you."
The blush returns to her cheeks as Mona asks me to remove my hands from the UV-light machine. Which means that she's ready to give my nails some colour.
For the rest of the appointment, we make small talk with Aspen and Mona with the comfortable hum of the radio in the background. When a song by Taylor Swift I still haven't learnt the name of, Willow was out of her chair to turn up the volume with the permission of Aspen with a childish glee that she rarely lets show with anyone other than her closest people.
I swear I fell more in love with Willow when I watched her dance her way back to her chair.
Hand in hand, Willow and I walk out of the nail salon, freshly painted nails and bright smiles on our faces as we wave goodbye to Mona and Aspen. Our names are already on their calendar for next time.
I can't help myself from glancing down at our cojoined hands every couple of seconds, my heart fluttering at the way hers match mine.
Baby blue and pastel pink.
"H?" I don't even have to look at her face to know that Willow has her bottom lip tucked under her teeth and round eyes that'll have me giving into whatever comes out of her pouty lips.
"Blue?" I mimic her tone, tugging her closer to me so she doesn't bump into the man walking past us.
Willow lets go of my hand and before I can reach for it again, a pout on my lips, she snakes her arm around my back, my own going around her shoulders. "Are you hungry?"
I'm not. But knowing that she is and doesn't want to just ask directly, I don't say that. "What do you want, baby?"
It's like her shoulder deflates in relief the second the words leave my mouth and it has me turning my head and planting a kiss in her hair as I let her take her time settling on what she wants. Almost like she'd read my mind, she perks up, pointing across the street to what looks to be a small bakery.
"How about some croissants?", Willow suggests as I meet her eye.
"Croissants sound lovely," I agree, pouting my lips for a kiss.
Willow drops her gaze to my mouth at the action. Standing on her tiptoes, her hands gently cup my face as mine drop to her hips and peck. Her lips are soft as she presses them against mine in a way that has my heart doing somersaults in my chest. I can smell the coconut from her favourite lip gloss when she pulls away with a dopey smile, swiping away the product she left just below my bottom lip.
Blush heats my cheeks as I kiss the pad of her thumb, "Thank you, baby."
Thankfully the crosswalk is just down the street, the lights turning green for us after only a few seconds so we can make our way across the road safely and efficiently with my arm back around Willow's shoulders and her hand on my hip.
The bakery Willow picked out for us has a homey vibe to it. Flowers stationed on every single table with warm pinks and soft yellows everywhere you look. The smell of baked goods strong even from outside the shop. For a Thursday afternoon, it's rather busy.
Willow and I stood in silence as we waited for it to be our turn to order, content just watching the different people come in and out of the bakery every time the bell above the door rang.
The display of all the different options of baked goods is god damn mouth-watering and I make a mental note to bring Evelyn and Willow back sometime during the weekend. Knowing Evelyn, she would be over the moon over a cupcake that looks like a rainbow.
When it becomes our turn, I order us two croissants, thanking the lady behind the counter with a smile as she hands us the paper bag. And then we're on our way again.
"I was thinking that we should take Evie there," I speak as I take her hand in mine, resuming our walk back to the car with my eyes switching from the path in front of us to her face.
Meeting my eye, Willow nods with a hum, "When were you thinking?" "Maybe Sunday?"
Before she can ask, I add, "They're open."
"She's gonna have a hard time picking, poor thing," Willow laughs light-heartedly.
"Mhm," I hum in agreement, the smile that rarely ever seems to fade whenever I'm around her. If we're being completely honest, Willow and I both know that I would buy Evelyn every single one she wanted just to keep a smile on her face.
"I miss her," I say with a pout as we round the last building, my eyes landing on my car.
Willow rolls her bottom lip into her mouth before she opens it and says something I never in a million years thought I'd hear from her; "I don't know how you're gonna survive when she's off to college, babe."
Dropping her hand, I clutch the material of my t-shirt over my heart as if I was in pain. "Don't hurt an old man like that, Blue. I'm fragile."
"Oh shut up, H. You're not that old," Willow giggles with a hand on her stomach. Her nails match her pretty sundress and it has another swarm of butterflies flapping around in my tummy.
"It was still mean," I grumble with a pout, the thought of my little girl leaving one day isn't exactly one I enjoy.
Willow shakes her head at my attitude. "I'm sorry, love," she says with a pinch of my hip.
"You're lucky I love you," I say as I take her hand again, loving the warmth of her soft skin against mine. She grins at me, "The luckiest."
The soft curls of her hair dance in the light breeze blowing past us. Her golden skin glows so prettily in the sunshine she doesn't even look real. The light reflects in her baby blue eyes makes them twinkle as if the sun was hung in the sky at this very moment just for her.
I'm convinced that Willow is an angel sent down to this plane from the heavens above. Her calm, beauty and grace is simply too delicate to be meant for the harsh, painful world that we live in. But somehow, with all that she's been through, she still leaves a trail of light in her wake. She has lit up my life the way the sun lights up the sky after a dark night with only specks of light so far away you almost don't believe that they're real.
"No Blue. I'm the lucky one."
I'm sure she can hear the emotion that has started to clog up my throat, but she doesn't comment on it. Instead, she guides my hand to press a gentle kiss to my knuckle just as we reach the car.
I reach into my pocket for my keys, pressing the button to unlock the black range rover as I walk around to the passenger side with Willow in tow to open the door for her, quickly pecking her temple as she slips past me and gets settled in her seat with the bag of croissants in her lap.
By the time I'm sat in my own seat, she's opened the bag and is munching happily on her croissant. Eyes closed, head tilted back against the headrest and humming in the way she something is particularly delicious. She's got her hand underneath the pastry to catch any crumbs that may fall when she takes a bite out of it.
Just as I get out on the road, Willow's phone connects to the Bluetooth system in the car, the song switches to 'Right where you left me' by Taylor Swift.
It's almost comical how fast Willow's jaw drops along with her hand just as she was about to take another bite of her croissant. Her eyes go from the screen where the title is written in clear letters to my face. Accusing frown on her face as Taylor's voice and the gentle guitar fill the silence.
There isn't even a point in trying to contain my smile at the way it takes her around 5 seconds before she is turning up the volume and singing along to the song. Dramatic hand gestures and facial expressions that I catch out of my peripheral vision.
When she twists her upper body so she is fully facing me and sings; "I could feel the mascara run. You told me that you met someone," I can't help but take her hand and join her.
Who would have thought singing a heart-wrenching song about being left and unable to move on with the love of your life while driving down the streets of Los Angeles would have images of her in a white dress flash through my mind and a certainty settle in my stomach like I have only felt once before in my life?
When the song ends, Willow turns the volume back down, her face flushed from her intense performance and a shy smile curling on her lips.
If there wasn't a chance that doing so would potentially end in both of our deaths, I would've kissed her until we were both dizzy.
"You want your croissant?" Willow pulls the untouched one out of the bag, holding it out to me with her eyebrows raised in question.
Instead of saying anything, I open my mouth expectantly, waiting for her to get the hint. And when she does, she rolls her eyes playfully, still obliges and holds the pastry right in front of my face. She waits for me to take a bite out of the soft, crunchy slice of buttery heaven.
"Fuck me, that's good," I practically moan through a mouthful of croissant. This is possibly the best croissant I have ever had in my life.
Chewing it slowly, savouring the heavenly taste, I catch Willow with her phone out, pointed in my direction and a sly smile on her face. "What are doing, Blue?"
"You look really hot, is all," she shrugs, stuffing her phone underneath her thigh.
Willing the blush I feel heating up my face at the compliment go away, I point out the obvious; "That doesn't answer my question." Only Willow can have me blushing like a schoolboy and biting the inside of my cheek at a simple compliment.
"I got myself a new wallpaper for my phone," she tells me matter-of-factly as she squeezes my hand.
I rub the skin of her knuckle as the corners of my mouth tug up into a smirk, "If that's the case, then you can take as many pictures as you want."
When she stays quiet, taking bites of her croissant before letting me do the same, her left leg bouncing under beneath our cojoined hands, I can't help but laugh as the realisation dawns on me. "How many pictures do you actually have of me?"
She says something, but it's so quiet I can't make out the words. "I can't hear you, baby."
"I said that I've lost count," she repeats herself with a sheepish look on her face. "You don't exactly make it hard, baby."
"You ever gonna let me see these photos?" Knowing her, it's probably half pictures where I look decent and half pictures that could be turned into memes.
Willow takes a minute before she answers, seeming to mull over the answer in her head. "No."
"Then I'm not letting you see the wonderful collection I've gathered of you, Blue." It may be childish, but it does exactly what I wanted it to. Willow's grip on my hand tightens ever so lightly and I can feel her practically burning a hole into the side of my face with the intensity of her stare.
But she is stubborn, so she keeps her lips pressed tightly together. She keeps her view directed out the window at the cars, buildings and people we pass by.
"Am I sleeping in any of them?" she eventually breaks the silence. Her fingers drum along with the rhythm of 'Sweater Weather' against the back of my hand, something that I've noticed that she always does when she listens to music.
"A couple," I confess, holding in the urge to laugh at the way her cheeks turn crimson.
Clearing her throat, Willow tucks a strand of her hair behind her ear. "If they ever see the light of day, you're losing your dick."
Slightly taken aback by how casually such crude words flew out of her mouth, I swallow hard with wide eyes, "I will remember that."

Here's what I'll say regarding choice of worship music (and I'm not 100% sure where I'm going with this, so bear with me): I think it's very easy to get burned out on specific kinds of worship, no matter what they are. And that kind of burn-out is hard.
I grew up at a church that did 95% CCM for worship, and after a while it either (a) exhausted me emotionally or (b) bored me. By the time I hit high school, I really really struggled with corporate worship because it felt as though I wasn't responding as I was supposed to. Getting to sing mostly hymns at the church I attended at college was a huge breath of fresh air, and it helped me immensely in terms of re-orienting my heart towards Christ-centered worship (as opposed to me-centered worship.) For the first time in my life, I found myself listening to Christian music on my own time during the week.
I watched the recent Jesus Revolution movie with mom over the summer. Her family started attending Calvary Chapel (then-nascent hippy church in Orange County) midway through her childhood, and she got really excited talking about the difference between the hymns she remembered from early elementary school ("we sang the whole hymnal rather than selecting for the really good ones like they do at your church") and the much more dynamic music that came out of Maranatha and other early "contemporary" Christian groups. She actually played me a whole bunch of the songs she grew up with the next morning. They sounded horrifically cheesy to me, but she got real joy out of it and even ended up texting a few songs to my aunt.
And yet, my mom has remarked a whole bunch of times to me that she really can't stand current CCM; that she desperately misses singing the old hymns. I look at myself and my own experience and I can totally see myself coming back to some of the CCM songs I grew up with and encountering Christ through them all new again. As recently as last month, I had a really beautiful experience driving back from a concert crazy late at night with my sister and listening to some of the old Chris Tomlin and Hillsong stuff that I hadn't heard in a while. It brought me back to a sense of incredible comfort and safety nestled up against God like a baby chick. Do I want to worship with that sort of music every week right now? No, definitely not. But it has its place.
Obviously worship transcends something as incidental as music genre. It's an expression of why we were created: glorifying God and enjoying him forever --- and yet, because of the fall, it's really easy to get burned out on specific expressions of worship. I don't necessarily think that's a bad thing so much as just a symptom of the fall. I also think that people who are really burned out on a particular kind of worship can be really, really obnoxious about it. I know I was for a while, and I still definitely have my hangups with CCM.
But like- I don't think it's so much about judgement or superiority towards the kind of worship music that you're burnt out on as it is just the overwhelming sense that that kind of worship music felt exhausting and this kind of music actually feels like I'm able to worship again. I know when I started singing hymns at church, it just felt like I'd found the Rosetta Stone. I was suddenly so much less in my own head on Sunday mornings and oh my goodness singing to God was a joy again and I can't remember but I don't think it's ever been a joy like this before has it?? It was almost like my head was spinning with some great new revelation and when I was obnoxious about it it was mostly a manifestation of my being like Why didn't anyone ever tell me it could be like this? Why isn't everyone singing hymns? It's just so much better this way!
Mostly, it just feels like saying "don't be overly critical of how other Christians like to worship" kind of. Misses the trees for the forest, if that makes sense? Like, it's accurate to the big picture, it's absolutely a true and worthwhile thing to say. But at the same time it kind of rankles for me because it misses how it feels to be truly and deeply alienated by the kind of worship you're exposed to.
For better and for worse, worship is (I think) the spiritual discipline that engages the emotions most directly. The feeling of being in a group of people all worshipping together, and your heart just isn't responding right no matter how you try to re-focus and orient it? It's one of the loneliest feelings I know.

I hear it's @thefreakandthehair's birthday... happiest of days pal, enjoy the fluff!
Eddie is nervous.
There's no getting around that fact. He's been planning his surprise for days, knows all the ways it can go wrong, even has a couple of back up plans if it all goes to shit. Yet, the nerves in his gut bubble up and toil around in his gut like bad food.
See, Steve's birthday is something special. It's the day he was born, so Eddie is especially glad for the occasion. Steve, on the other hand, is not. Up until meeting Eddie and being honest about his dislike of the day, Steve never celebrated. Between shitty parents and an overall lack of interest, the big day rolled by every year without a single present, balloon, or muttered 'happy birthday'.
It's the sort of travesty that Eddie's going to spend the rest of his life remedying.
So, there's a bit of pressure (all self-applied) for Eddie to make the day a little extra special. The first year, he threw Steve his very first family birthday party. The one following, Eddie took Steve to a Tears for Fears concert in the city. That trip is still one Eddie looks back on fondly - the gift ended up being amazing for them both.
This year, Eddie's decision to keep things on the down low is driving him a little mad. While he knows it's the right decision after the last few months they've been through, Eddie's still trying to come to terms with his very small, though still big and heartfelt, gestures. He doesn't want Steve to think any less of a day that's more important to Eddie than his own day of birth. His husband isn't that sort of person, yet Eddie feels the sting of nervousness all the same.
Instead of something big and flashy to start the day, Eddie gets out of bed a little early and makes breakfast. He's careful about the color of Steve's toast (because if it's too burnt, he'll eat it out of petulant stubbornness, not actual enjoyment). The good orange juice is sitting in Steve's favorite cup and the eggs are just about ready. Everything is going perfectly when the creaky floorboard gives Steve's presence away.
"You're cooking, babe?" Steve asks as he wraps his arms around Eddie from behind. His nose settles into the curve of neck and shoulder - Eddie still loves the feeling of Steve breathing him in there.
"Yes! And you're supposed to be in bed. I was going to bring this to you." Eddie tries not to let the pout leak into his voice, but Steve's arms tightening around his waist give him away.
"I think I like this better. I can hold you while you finish up and then we can eat together."
It's so sweet and beautifully mushy that Eddie lets this ruined surprise slide. He can't be disappointed when Steve beams at him like they're still newlyweds throughout the entirety of the meal.
Except, the rest of the day is pretty off, too. Eddie gets caught in a meeting at work that blows up his plans to take Steve lunch. He employs Dustin to head to the sub shop Steve likes to pick up the food, instead. He's late to get home and misses Steve before his husband takes off for his evening run, so the pre-workout blow job is off the table.
By the time dinner rolls around, Eddie's feeling less than and so disappointed in himself. Steve finds him at the kitchen table with his head in his hands after his post-run shower.
"Baby, what's wrong?" There's that sickeningly sweet care in Steve's voice that have the tears in the corner of Eddie's eyes finally falling.
"Today's been all wrong, Steve. You deserve the best and today just wasn't it. Nothing went as planned." He swipes at the rebellious tears but more fall in their place. "I wanted your birthday to be perfect."
Shower-warm hands frame his cheeks; Steve uses his grip there to tilt Eddie's head up so they're looking eye to eye. "Eddie, I love you but my birthday has never mattered to me. It's just another day. You love me so well all year that an entire day of spoiling me is just gluttonous. I'm a happy man, baby. Let's celebrate that together, instead."
Eddie is too moved to say anything, so he leans in to seal their lips together. The kiss lingers long enough for Eddie to forget about his troubles and simply enjoy the moment.
Later, when they're tangled up in the sheets together, blush and sweat still marring their skin, Steve rolls over to press his lips against Eddie's ear. "Best birthday ever," he whispers, a smile in his voice.
It's real and genuine and Eddie knows he means it.

I had such a fun time with this incorrect quote generator! Hope y’all enjoy what it came up with 😄
Incorrect She-ra Quotes
Catra: This is bothering me.
Adora: Well, you are digging up a corpse.
Catra: No, not that. That's, uh, pretty par for the course, actually.
Catra: So what’s for dinner?
Adora, staring at the food she just burnt: Regret.
Catra: .. .----. -- / ... --- .-. .-. -.-- [translation: I’M SORRY]
Adora: What's that?
Catra: Remorse code.
Adora: I'm even angrier now.
Catra: *Kicks the door down looking panicked*
Adora: What did you do?
Catra: Nobody died.
Adora: WHAT KIND OF ANSWER IS THAT?!
Catra: *holding a bottle* Is this whiskey or perfume?
Adora: *chugs entire bottle*
Adora: It’s perfume.
Catra, tending to Adora's wounds: How would you rate your pain?
Adora: Zero stars. Would NOT recommend.
Adora: Violence isn't the answer.
Catra: You’re right.
Adora: *sighs in relief*
Catra: Violence is the question.
Adora: What?
Catra, bolting away: And the answer is yes.
Adora, running after her: NO-
Adora: Jail is no fun. I’ll tell you that much.
Catra: Oh, you’ve been?
Adora : Once. In Monopoly.
Catra, watching the news: Some idiot tried to fight a squid at the aquarium today!
Adora: *walks in covered with ink* Well, maybe the squid was being a jerk.
Catra: Ok, maybe playing ‘whose family is the most dysfunctional’ wasn’t the best idea we’ve had. Adora's been crying in the bathroom for an hour. I can’t get her out...
The rest of the Princess Alliance:
Catra: I’m gonna need a human skull and I can't have you ask any questions why.
Adora: Only if you also don't ask why
Adora: *Pulls out 7 pristine human skulls* Take your pick.
Catra:
Adora:
Catra: This one is fine.
Catra: How did none of you hear what I just said?
Bow: I’ve been zoned out for the past two and a half hours.
Adora: I got distracted about halfway through.
Glimmer: Ignoring you was a conscious decision.
Cop: You’re receiving a ticket for having three people on one motorcycle.
Catra: Great.
Adora: Wait, three?
Cop: Yeah?
Glimmer: OH MY GOSH BOW FELL OFF!!!
Glimmer: Everyone, synchronize your watches.
Adora: I don’t know how to do that.
Bow: I don’t wear a watch.
Catra: Time is a construct.
Bow: You know those things will kill you, right?
Glimmer, pouring another glass of whiskey: That’s the point.
Catra, smoking a cigarette: We’re trying to speed up the process.
Adora: *Nods while eating raw cookie dough*
Adora: I’m an idiot.
Catra:
Glimmer:
Bow:
Adora:
Catra: If you’re waiting for us to disagree, this is going to be a long day.
Scorpia: What does 'take out' mean?
Adora: Food.
Bow: Dating
Glimmer: Murder
Catra: IT CAN MEAN ALL THREE IF YOU'RE NOT A COWARD.
Scorpia: Imagine if someone handed you a box full of all the items you have lost throughout your life
Adora: Self-esteem, haven't seen you in years!
Glimmer: Oh wow, my childhood innocence! Thank you for finding this!
Bow: I knew I lost that potential somewhere!
Catra: My moral code, is that you?
Scorpia:
Scorpia: I was just gonna show you this cool trunk my mothers left me but do you guys need a hug?
Adora: You're a loose cannon, Catra.
Catra: No, I'm not. I'm a cannon maybe, but a loose cannon? Is that what you think of me?
Bow: I think you play by your own rules.
Glimmer: No way, she think rules were made to be broken.
Adora: Those are all attributes of a loose cannon.
Catra: No, I'm just a reckless renegade. Scorpia is a loose cannon.
Scorpia: *accidentally smashes a chair*
Adora: Nothing in life is free.
Perfuma: Love is free!
Sea Hawk: Adventure is free!
Bow: Knowledge is free.
Catra: Everything is free if you take it without paying.
Catra: Poison is a magic transmutation potion that turns people into corpses.
Adora: This knife is actually a magic wand.
Glimmer: Meet me in the Denny’s parking lot for a wizard duel.
Catra: *cocks gun* Magic missile.
Bow: What is wrong with you people.
Catra: Anyone d-
Adora: Depressed?
Bow: Drained?
Glimmer: Dumb?
Scorpia: Disliked?
Catra: -done with their work... what is wrong with you people ...
Catra: We’ve been conducting an ongoing study to see what Adora will and will not eat.
Glimmer: Grass? Yes!
Catra: Moss? Yes!!
Glimmer: Leaves? Ohh, yes!
Catra: Shoelaces? Strange but true!
Glimmer: Worms? Sometimes!
Catra: Rocks? Usually nah.
Glimmer: Twigs? Usually!
Catra: Scorpia’s cooking? Inconclusive!
Perfuma: How did you… test this?
Catra: You just hand her stuff and say ‘eat this’ and if she eats it, she eats it.
Perfuma: ... I don’t know how to feel about this.
Bow: IS THAT WHERE ALL MY SPARE SHOELACES WENT?
Adora: I’ve done a lot of dumb stuff.
Catra: I witnessed the dumb stuff.
Bow: I recorded the dumb stuff.
Glimmer: I joined in on the dumb stuff.
Perfuma: I TRIED TO STOP YOU FROM DOING THE DUMB STUFF!!!
Perfuma: There are seven chairs and ten kids. What do you do?
Adora: Have everyone stand.
Bow: Bring three more chairs!
Glimmer: The most important ones can sit down.
Catra: Kill three.
Glimmer: Good morning.
Adora: Good morning.
Bow: Good morning.
Scoria: You all sound like robots, try spicing it up a bit.
Catra: MORNING SCUMBAGS
Adora: You really put aside everything and came all this way for me? How did you even get here so fast?
Glimmer: Several traffic violations.
Catra: Three counts of resisting arrest.
Scorpia: Roughly thirteen cans of energy drinks.
Bow: Also, that’s not our car.
Catra: So uhhh... my question is: my friend keeps on going into the pantry and grabbing handfuls of fettuccine... uncooked...
Glimmer: I would hope they're not grabbing handfuls of cooked fettuccine!
Scorpia: In your pantry!
Catra: Yeah... and eating them raw, and they keep calling them 'chips'. ... How do I make them stop?
Glimmer: Is your friend here?
Catra, motioning to Adora: Yeah.
Glimmer, to Adora: You're a monster! Words MEAN things!
Bow: Does anybody remember- I haven't been to Olive Garden in many moons- but they DO have a like- fettuccine bottle that you can just- grab em out of and chew-
Bow: HOLD ON. WAS THIS A PRANK YOU GUYS PULLED ON ME WHEN WE WENT TO OLIVE GARDEN AS KIDS?!
Bow: NO, STOP. EVERYBODY SHUT UP. DO THEY GIVE YOU RAW FETTUCCINE TO CHEW ON IN THE LOBBY OF THE OLIVE GARDEN
Everyone else: No.
Bow, to Glimmer and Catra: YOU MONSTERS
Glimmer: YAAAAAAAAY!
Catra: THE PRESTIGE
Catra: Bye Adora! Bye Bow! Bye Glimmer! Bye Scorpia! Bye Adora!
Bow: You said ‘bye Adora’ twice.
Catra: I like Adora.
Scorpia: What did you guys get in your yearbook?
Glimmer: 'Prettiest Smile'
Bow: 'Nicest Personality'
Catra: 'Most likely to start a bar fight'
Adora: 'Least likely to start a bar fight, but most likely to win one'
Bow: You kidnapped Adora? That’s illegal!
Catra: But Bow, what’s more illegal? Briefly inconveniencing Adora, or destroying our dreams?
Bow: Kidnapping Adora, Catra!!!
Glimmer: Bow, listen, whatever I may think of you right now- these guys are counting on you to inspire them!
Bow: What, to kidnap people?!?!
Glimmer: To work together!
Bow: TO KIDNAP PEOPLE?!?!
Glimmer: Bow, we all agreed celebrities were an exception.
*The squad is over at Catra's house*
Adora: Ohhhh, we each get our own oven?
Catra: ... N-No...
Catra, laughing: How many ovens do you think I have???
Adora, motioning to their kitchen: Three, I thought!
Bow: I see a-
Catra, motioning to one device: This is a microwave.
Adora: Oh, well I-
Catra: Hey wait wait, actually- hang on- *fiddles with the buttons on the microwave*
Catra, amazed: Its got a bake setting!
Glimmer: Ohoho, you learn something new every day!
Scorpia: Do we- Do we roshambo for who gets to pick first?
Catra: Now I've just discovered I have more ovens than I thought, we don't have to roshambo nothin!
Catra: I am someone who owns four ovens...
Catra, louder and way too happy: I am someone... who owns FOUR OVENS...
Catra: I didn't know I was so rich with ovens...
Perfuma, pointing to another appliance: Also the toaster oven!
Catra:
Adora: Ohhh, toasty boy! Four- Five ovens!
Catra:
Catra, ECSTATIC: I AM SOMEONE WHO OWNS FIVE OVENS
Catra: Well, aren’t you all a rag-tag group of adventurers with unclear goals and good hearts! Oh, let me guess: you’re out to save the world!
Adora: Well, actually, that sounds like a pretty fair assessment.
Bow: More or less, I guess...
Glimmer: That sounds awesome! Let’s do that!
Scorpia: I’m new here, but I am open to the concept.
Perfuma: I thought that’s what we were doing, guys, come on!
Bow: Just be yourself.
Catra: 'Be myself'? Bow, I have one day to win Adora over. How long did it take before you guys started liking me?
Perfuma: Couple weeks.
Mermista: Six months.
Glimmer: Jury’s still out.
Catra: See, Bow?
Catra: 'Be myself'. What kind of garbage advice is that?
Catra: Everytime I hear someone talking about updog, I’m torn between not wanting to fall for it and wanting to help them complete their joke.
Adora: Okay, but what is updog?
Bow: Updog is a long sausage in a bun, often served with ketchup, mustard, onions, and/or relish.
Glimmer: Not, that’s a hot dog. An updog is when a new version or patch of an application is released.
Scorpia: No, that's an update. You’re thinking of the fourth largest city in Sweden.
Perfuma: Surely, that’s Uppsala, where’s updog is the giant spider in Harry Potter.
Catra: That’s Aragog. Updog is a symbol conventionally used for an arbitrarily small number in analysis proofs.
Glimmer: You’re thinking of epsilon. Updog is an upward-moving air current.
Bow: No, that’s an updraft. An updog is the modern version of a henway.
Adora: What’s a henway??
Catra: Oh, about five pounds.
*Everyone is standing around the broken coffee maker*
Catra: So. Who broke it? I'm not mad, I just wanna know.
Everyone:
Adora: ...I did. I broke it.
Catra: No. No you didn't. Bow?
Bow: Don't look at me. Look at Glimmer.
Glimmer: What?! I didn't break it.
Bow: Huh, that's weird. How'd you even know it was broken?
Glimmer: Because it's sitting right in front of us and it's broken.
Bow: Suspicious.
Glimmer: No, it's not!
Scorpia: If it matters, probably not, but Perfuma was the last one to use it.
Perfuma: Lies! I don't even drink that trash.
Scorpia: Oh really? Then what were you doing by the coffee cart earlier?
Perfuma: I use the wooden stirrers to push back my cuticles. Everyone knows that, Scorpia!
Adora: Okay let's not fight. I broke it. Let me pay for it, Catra.
Catra: No! Who broke it!?
Everyone:
Scorpia: Catra... Bow's been awfully quiet.
Bow: rEALLY?!
*Everyone starts arguing*
Catra, being interviewed: I broke it. I burned my hand so I punched it.
Catra: I predict 10 minutes from now they'll be at each other's throats with warpaint on their faces and a pig head on a stick.
Catra:
Catra: Good. It was getting a little chummy around here.
*The squad right before Adora (and Catra)'s wedding*
Catra: Well I have to go, I have a wedding to attend.
Bow: Wait... Oh! I have a wedding to attend too!
Glimmer: Oh, I have a wedding to attend as well
Scorpia: I THINK WE ALL HAVE WEDDINGS TO ATTEND
Perfuma, panicked: I THINK I HAVE A WEDDING TO OFFICIATE
*Squad reactions to being told ‘I love you’*
Perfuma: Thanks fam!
Mermista: oh no
Scorpia: *cries* I love you too
Glimmer: Sounds fake but okay
Adora: *A flustered mess*
Catra: can i get a refund
Adora: We need to distract these guys
Catra: Leave it to me
Catra: Centaurs have six limbs and are therefore insects. Discuss.
Bow, Glimmer, and Mermista: *Immediately begin arguing*
Perfuma, watching in horror: Oh this. I don’t like this. I don't like this at all.
Catra: Rules are made to be broken.
Adora: They were made to be followed. Nothing is made to be broken.
Bow: Uh, piñatas.
Scorpia: Glow sticks.
Glimmer: Karate boards.
Perfuma: Spaghetti when you have a small pot.
Catra: Rules.
Adora:
Catra: Time for plan G.
Adora: Don’t you mean plan B?
Catra: No, we tried plan B a long time ago. I had to skip over plan C due to technical difficulties.
Bow: What about plan D?
Catra: Plan D was that desperate disguise attempt half an hour ago.
Glimmer: What about plan E?
Catra: I’m hoping not to use it. I die in plan E.
Glimmer: I like plan E.
Adora: So are we flirting right now?
Catra: I AM LITERALLY STABBING YOU
Adora: That doesn’t answer my question
Adora: Catra, stop! This isn't you, you've gone mad with power!
Catra: Well of course I have.
Catra: Have you ever tried going mad without power?
Catra: It's boring.
Catra: Can you keep a secret?
Adora: Do you know anything about my life?
Catra: Yes I do. Good point.
Catra: You know, I'm starting to regret showing you how that blender works.
Adora, drinking toast: Why do you say that?
Catra: Don’t worry, I know exactly what I’m doing. Everything is going to be fine!
Adora: How can you still say that?
Catra: Because sometimes, when things get tough, denial is all we have.
Catra: Don’t worry, I have a few knives up my sleeve.
Adora: I think you mean cards.
Catra, pulling knives out of her sleeves: No, I do not.
Adora: How do I deal with my enemies?
Catra: Kill them
Adora: That's a bit extreme, I was hoping for a more passive solution
Catra: Kill them only a little?
Catra: Name a more iconic duo than my crippling fear of abandonment and my anxiety. I'll wait.
Adora: You and me!!!
Catra, tearing up: Okay.
Catra: I’m going to take you out
Adora: great, it’s a date!
Catra: I meant that as a threat.
Adora: See you at five!
Adora: This is such a bad idea.
Catra: Then why are you coming along?
Adora: One of us need to be able to talk the cops out of arresting us when this inevitably goes wrong.
Catra: Am I in trouble?
Adora: Take a guess.
Catra: No?
Adora: Take another guess.
Catra: You kill people for money?!
Adora: I can explain!
Catra: And all this time I’ve been doing it for free like a chump!
Adora: I was arrested for being too cool.
Catra: The charges were dropped due to a lack of supporting evidence.

Art tips for beginners? :3
I'm gonna try n be helpful here, but please keep in mind that I've been drawing my whole life, so I can't give you the perspective of someone who is just startin out.
1: Don't give up. Cheesy as fuck, I know. But you are gonna get pissed n fuckin angry when somethin doesn't turn out how you wanted it to. Don't let this discourage you! Use your mistakes and errors to keep on improving. There's no need to tear up drawings or delete anything that you aren't 100% satisfied with because you are growing in your abilities. AND TRUST that it is so rewarding to see your progress over time.
2: Challenge yourself n expect to hate it. Try all sorts of styles (cartoon, realism, or even just photo studies), do few details, do loads of details, do timed drawings, etc. Test the limits of what you can do. Similar to the previous advice, you need to allow yourself to be angry n hate the product that comes from this because you will eventually start finding your own creative style n process.
3: Don't pressure yourself beyond belief. You will not be an 'amazing' or 'visually appealing' artist from the get-go. If you are gettin burned out, allow yourself to take a break from time to time. With this though, once you start gettin more comfortable, even when you're burnt out creatively- I HEAVILY encourage you to keep doing small drawings OR other creative things to keep your mind going.
4: Experiment wit different mediums n shit like that! Explore! There is so many different forms of art to fuckin enjoy. Digital, traditional, watercolour, acrylic, clay, fuckin anything. When you get into non-digital mediums, keep cost in mind, but there are plenty of cheap alternatives that are great when you're startin out (also once you get 'better', you can control these much better, n they don't look like the initial cheap product). I personally use a lot of dollar tree shit n I used to steal from the art class in my school (but that was more out of necessity, if you can avoid it, please do. You can get in HUGE trouble if you're caught). But the main message is to experiment n try new things because there's so many different mediums out there.
5: Take in the world around you. Look at everything n think about how you could portray that in art. Really study the world. The faces people make when they don't think they're makin any, the grime that most people ignore building up on everyday objects, how people's body language says a LOT about how they feel, the way light casts in obscure ways, etc. Instead of just viewing the things around you, really look and take in the experience of bein human. Even impressionistic art holds these intricate details. You just have to be open to the experience.
6: Appreciate, but don't compare. I cannot stress dis shit enough, your art is your own, it is no one else's, so there's no need to harp on "oh this person draws x,y,and z better than me" n blah blah blah STOP! Dawg, you are doin your own shit, don't worry about if you're not on the same 'level' as others, or don't have the same 'capabilities' as some mfs. When you see other people's art, appreciate the things that they can do, but appreciate what you can do too! Especially when you're first really gettin your foot in the whole art shit, it is important to not judge your abilities compared to others who may have a lot more experience under their belt. I think it's totally okay to look at art n be like "oh that's super cool, I'd definitely like to improve on things like that", but never use it to put down your own art. This shit is subjective bro, you'll get to where you want to be. It takes a lot of time, it's not linear, but you WILL. It may not be how you expected it to look at first, but that's okay! Give yourself grace. Art is for you, at the end of the day.
You are gonna fight with yourself n the art itself, but that's totally normal! Art is one of the best forms of expression n I really hope the best for you. I know I was vague as shit n this isn't no tutorial on how to draw a realistic portrait or some shit- but that's because there's no right way to do this. Go balls to the walls or just dip your fuckin toes in. Approach it how you want, there's no right or wrong way to do art. I hope that this was somewhat helpful n I wasn't just spewin shit outta my ass n I truly wish you a good art journey

PART XVII of XX
Count: ~8.5k
⊶⊷⊶⊷⊶⊷⋆⊶⊷⊶⊷⊶⊷
The air smells different.
You expected it to. The landscape has changed after so many years, but it has still thrown you off kilter. You haven't returned to Tatyana's grave site in many years. It was cowardly, but you just couldn't.
You didn't feel like you had the right to. It felt wrong to have killed Tatyana and then sit at her grave and mourn. She would've loved it, though, and she'd probably want you to sit there uncomfortable and discontent. As much as it would've been a part of your punishment, you only visited a handful of times throughout the first couple of decades. You had less time once you encountered David, dealing with his newborn tendencies.
"So, what exactly are we looking for? A gravesite?" Tony asks, his helmet coming off momentarily as he surveys the area. It looked like a quaint little town. Modernized with time, but it was still out in the countryside. The air was still brisk, but it was warming with springtime emerging. You hear children and their parents preparing for the day in the distance, and it’s rather nostalgic.
"No," you shook your head. "I didn't bury her near anyone. I don't believe the villagers would've accepted having their murderer buried amongst their dead. There had been a flower field miles away that I laid her to rest at." You look around. "Although it's hard to tell if it will still even be there or if something was built over it."
"Can't you, like, I don't know—smell it?" Tony gestures at nothing in particular.
You roll your eyes. "I'm not a bloodhound. This was centuries ago, there'd be nothing left to smell even if I could pick something up this far."
You keep walking, leading the group, because you smell something even if you can't smell Tatyana's grave. You have yet to mention it to the group since you're unsure what it could be and don't want to get everyone more riled up when they're already so tense.
The moment you walk far enough between towns, an area excluded away from civilization just past the trees, something inside you clicks.
"It's here," you furrow your brows.
"What's wrong?" Natasha asks.
"I—" but you can't finish the sentence as there are a thousand footsteps at once. On the other side of the clearing, vampires are marching.
"Shit," Steve says.
"Language," Tony says, but it lacks its teasing tone.
Everyone buckles up, raising their weapons as the vampires begin to pick up their pace into a run toward you. You and the team begin to run to meet them, but before either side can reach the middle, there's a strong blast of magic, hitting the ground and nearly splitting it.
"I don't remember giving orders to move."
You smell her before you see her.
Spice and hydrangea override your sensories.
All you can smell is her—the memories. It's the smell of eggs, slightly burnt cinnamon, herbs, the laundry, the river, and grass, and no one could ever understand it, but you could smell the warmth. You smelled somewhere—someone you used to call home.
Smelling her just felt like you were losing everything all over, and to see her? Your breath hitches in a way that feels like it's slicing against your lungs.
"Fuck," you murmur. "It's really you."
Tatyana descends upon the field, her soldiers parting to make way for her. She looks just the way she did those few blissful weeks before everything went downhill—before you lost her. Her defined cheekbones, mauve lips, and sage green eyes that felt like she could always see right through you.
The field was noisy, settling down into a quiet murmur, but none of it mattered. None of it matters because Tatyana's eyes held yours as she looked at you as if it was just the two of you on the field.
"My love," her husk voice whispers, but you can hear it clear as bells.
You feel like you're being constricted, her voice and eyes strangling the life out of every thought you could have possibly been having that wasn't about her.
Natasha watches the scene unfold before her, unsure what to make of it. She hasn't ever seen you like this, even as you talked about her. But perhaps this was the issue. You always talked about her in a past-tense fashion. Tatyana had been nothing but a wounded memory that left scars all over you. Even when you encountered her previously, she was always in someone else's body.
But now, she was in front of you, clearly alive and unchanged. Seeing Tatyana must've brought you back to the 1600s just before everything went awry.
Natasha looks over at Wanda, who's struggling to decide what she feels. There's a definite burning hatred there. Wanda wasn't sure she could ever forgive the manipulations and the last encounter. And for a moment, she hated that she had done the same to others with her powers. Yet, there was a displaced longing. This woman was related to her by blood—another family member when she thought there was just Pietro.
"Sveti kurac," Pietro curses. "She really does look like you."
Tatyana turns her head then towards the twins, assessing them. "How misguided," she sniffs with a crinkle in her nose. Her accent is thick as she says, "she looks like me."
Wanda bristles at the tone and words. She could practically feel Tatyana's insinuation that Wanda was a poor imitation to replace her. She narrows her eyes, conjuring up her magic.
"Feisty," Tatyana chuckles like it's some kind of joke. "It's precious you think you can beat me, child."
Heat floods Wanda at the condescending tone.
"I had the upper hand on this battlefield," Tatyana cocks her brow. "Don't tell me you fools came here thinking I wouldn't have cast runes all over this place."
"My magic's still working, is it not?" Wanda smirks as she raises her hand, sending a blast of magic forward, only for it to make it out a few feet before fizzling away.
Tatyana bursts out laughing, hand over her mouth before she slides it up her face and through her hair, smirking. She turns to look at you, "I know the alternative to you not showing up here would've been devastating, but you were a bad girl, not preparing them more to come here."
You were stricken but trying to gather yourself and not show it. You take a deep breath. "What exactly is it that you want?" You stare on with no emotion.
It's then that Tatyana's expression changes. Gone with the amusement, and in came the narrowed anger. Her eyes narrowed, jaw clenched with a pinched brow.
"Don't ask ridiculous questions," she hisses at you.
"What?" You taunt her. "Don't tell me you're still chasing your delusional ambitions of ruling the humans." You look around, gazing at the improved artificial vampire army that seems to hover, just waiting for Tatyana's command. "They're better than the last batch, but they'll never be the real thing."
"I don't need them to be the real thing," Tatyana cocks her brow. "I just need them to get the job done." But Tatyana doesn't reveal exactly what job that is.
You pinch your brows, trying to appear annoyed rather than shaken. "Tatyana, just—stop," you sigh almost pleadingly. "Let it go. Let go of your anger at the humans."
But Tatyana just laughs, and it's hollow sounding. "You must not think about me at all anymore if you think I'm angry at the humans."
"Angry at me then?" You push. "There's nothing I could ever say to justify what I've done but I think the punishment you've left me and the fact that I'll live with what I did for the rest of my life is enough."
Tatyana just shakes her head. "I'm not going to talk about this here with you," she says and holds out her hand. "You've had your fun, and I've indulged your dalliances long enough. It's time to return to me."
There's a moment when you hesitate. There was a time in your life when this would've been all you wanted. You felt like you were walking around with half your spirit carved out for a long time. You missed Tatyana so bad some days that you wanted to join her, if not for Leo and then David. You would sleep if only to dream about a life where you and she had everything. Sometimes you would stay awake to avoid dreaming. Tatyana had been the rising and falling of everything to you.
But—you take a deep breath—that was just a moment in time.
"No," you tell her softly, but you know everyone can hear it. "That time of our life is gone, Tatyana."
"Don't make me ask twice," Tatyana calmly states, keeping her hand out, but there's a wisp of blue around her finger as she curls it, beckoning you.
You feel the magic jerk you forward, and the titillating of your center of gravity throws you off from fighting it. But before you can move further, Natasha and Wanda grip both sides of your wrist, grounding you.
You look gratefully at the two, your eyes soft as they smile back at you.
The intimacy of it brings a wave of white, hot anger into Tatyana. "How dare you interrupt us," she hisses.
"You made it everyone's business by bringing us all out here," Natasha gives her signature raised brow. "And it's certainly mine and Wanda's business. Hasn't anyone ever told you no means no? You're almost no better than a man at this point."
Tatyana narrows her eyes at Natasha, disgust written all over her features as she glares at the redhead agent. But she doesn't say anything, as if deigning that Natasha wasn't worth speaking to, let alone her time.
Suddenly, she snaps her fingers. Without words, the army of vampires begins charging again, and everyone has their hands full. Natasha and Wanda have to let go of you to beat off the crowding vampires, but the short moment of their hold has you able to stand on your feet again. Tatyana can't use her magic to try to pull you again, not when you're used to her magic and can throw it off.
Everyone's holding their own, and Tatyana seems to be refraining from joining the fight, and you're still trying to figure out why. You look around, and Wanda can only cast magic within a few feet of herself, meaning she has to be close to her enemies. Natasha's style of fighting naturally is close range. For the most part, everyone's is. With the exception of Pietro, who can run circles around everyone, and Tony, who can use his suit to fly, everyone is bound to the ground.
Tatyana seems to realize this within minutes of watching everyone fight. She uses magic to conjure something in her palms before sending multiple blasts toward Tony's. They hit him in quick succession at his feet and back. He can't move out of the way in time, busy above trying to shoot off two vampires on Steve's back. Nothing happens immediately. But then, roots begin to grow out from the bottom, breaking the repulsors in his feet, and he starts to drop from the sky. He tries to engage the jetpack in his back but nothing comes out.
Tony instantly begins trying to use the repulsors in his hands to slow the fall, but he isn't flying high enough from the ground. He's going to land right into a horde of vampires waiting to rip him apart. Tony could send missiles to kill them, but he might get caught in the blast.
"Tony!" Steve yells, using his shield to brutally jab into a vampire's shoulder over and over to release his leg. He starts running, but Steve knows he's not going to make it in time, and it's chilling.
"Steve!" Pietro yells as he begins to run. "Hold your shield up and brace yourself!"
Steve doesn't even hesitate. The time spent hunting for Bucky with the young man has earned his trust. Pietro barrels into Steve’s back, keeping his feet planted on the ground as he uses his powers to run the both of them. Steve's shield barrels into the group of vampires, knocking them over with a brutal force from the speed.
When it looks like just the perfect spot, Pietro stops pushing Steve before grabbing his shield and using it to slam into the rest of the vampires surrounding the area.
Steve catches Tony, but it knocks them both to the ground. You can hear the wind being knocked out of Steve's lungs, but it doesn't sound like anything is broken.
"Just for that," Tony sounds breathless. "I won't make fun of you for a week."
"At least two weeks, Stark," Steve huffs as the two get up.
Natasha only catches moments of it from the corner of her eye. She must be careful not to let the enemies in front of her land a blow. Wanda's got her back, but she can tell it's frustrating the young witch her powers are being limited.
"I have to find where she cast the runes," Wanda says. "If I can, there's a chance I can destroy them and get my full magic back."
The advantage of that would be overwhelming and could lead them to a possible victory. So far, Tatyana has refrained from joining the fight, but they might all be fucked if that ever changed.
As Natasha wraps her legs around a vampire's body, swinging her way up as she locks his neck in, she uses her widow bites to stun him as she works her way into breaking his neck. She uses that moment to look at how David and Liam are faring.
David is easily holding his own, watching out for Liam, who stays at the back as support with his alchemy. He seems to be attempting to cast a big spell.
Tatyana sneers as she realizes there's an alchemist amongst the group. "William! Are you going to stand back and have me do all the work?"
You tense, expecting something to shift. When nothing happens after a moment, the tension in your shoulders relax just slightly.
Suddenly, the air changes.
When a man—no, a predator—steps out from behind a tree, you feel something horrible.
If seeing the predator in you could make people feel the hair on the body stand, seeing him was like having the first layer of your skin peel off.
"No need to get yourself in a huff," he rolls his eyes. "You're losing your touch, dear. You can't even take care of a few measly enhanced humans and two vampires?"
He was tall and muscular but not overly so. He had long black hair that would've been popular during the olden days, just sitting at his shoulders. He looked unassuming, but you knew better.
"Don't call me dear," Tatyana snaps at him, but he ignores her.
Williams looks at you. "Hm," he hums. "You look familiar. Did I change you? But your venom doesn't quite smell like mine."
But you're wordless.
All these years...these centuries, and this has never happened to you.
You've never bumped into a vampire older than you.

William changes the battlefield. What once might've been a possibility of winning quickly becomes closer to being annihilated. Both you and David team up to take on William, trying to be more strategic than using brute power that you both know won't win.
Everyone's busy handling their own fights, but they can't help but watch for the first time to see you outclassed. You brought your elbow into William's rib while David had him in a headlock. Natasha knows that the force alone should've obliterated the bones into dust, and it would've if it were anyone else.
But William merely grunts as he whips the back of his hand into your face, the force of it knocking you miles and miles away into the distance, breaking trunks of trees as you hit them.
Natasha and Wanda scream your name, horrified. They try to take off after you, but suddenly a horde of vampires conjugate into a wall in front of them by force. They look up and see Tatyana floating just above them, smirking.
They all knew this was a possibility, that this was what Tatyana wanted from the beginning. Yet, seeing it happen and being so utterly unable to prevent it is devastating.
"No!" Wanda yells in desperation. She turns around in circles frantically, looking for where Tatyana would've placed the runes.
Natasha's trying to formulate a plan. If she uses her grappling hook, she can try to aim at the trees over the vampires. She might break a leg, but it was better than nothing, wasn't it? It was better than not doing anything at all and watching you be taken.
"I told you, you stupid, little human," Tatyana sneers. "You're only meant for one lifetime and that lifetime is over." She uses her magic to begin toppling the vampires down towards them, meaning to crush them.
Natasha instantly turns to Wanda, running towards her and grabbing her before using the grappling hook. Pietro seems to notice them immediately as she shoots toward him. He moves out of the way of the hook that doesn’t catch anything but grabs onto the rope. With all his might, he runs with the rope, yanking it harshly to get them out of the way of the falling bodies.
Wanda holds onto Natasha tightly, using her magic to create a barrier around their bodies to protect their necks and any damage done to their bodies as it hits the ground.
Wanda wants to sob at the realization that you're gone. Natasha doesn't even feel like she has the time to process it as she watches William grab onto David's arm, crushing it under his grip.
David lets out a painful hiss as his grip loosens, and he's flung from Williams' back into the ground. It cracks as a tiny crater is formed where he lands. David can instantly feel all his ribs break, his legs are mangled, and the back of his head in danger of cracking.
William turns back to where Tatyana took off, stunned that she had simply left and wasn't coming back for him. Rage overtakes his face as he realizes he's been abandoned.
"David!" Natasha yells, running towards him, but he screams at her.
"Don't you fucking dare come closer!" David yells, and it's the first time she's heard him curse like that. "Get out! Get out of here now!"
Natasha wants to scream that she can't—she can't just leave him there. You'd absolutely hate her for it. David seems to think something similar: you'll hate him if you let Natasha and Wanda die here.
This line of work has always taught Natasha there were sacrifices, and you had to live with them. You don't get to question someone else's sacrifice. This was a losing battle, and the only way to survive was if they got to the Quinjet now.
But by the time that happened, what would be left of David? Could she get his brutalized body back from William so he could recover? There has to be some blood bags on the Quinjet, and she could give him her blood if not. He'd heal. He had to.
The idea of recovery gets shot to shit when William pulls out a wooden dagger. And they all know what it's made of.
William means to end it and end it permanently.
"Go!" David yells as William steps closer, hovering over David with his two arms raised, holding the dagger.
Natasha doesn't want to watch, but she can’t tear her eyes away. Wanda's summoning her magic even though she knows she's too far away, and angry tears are spilling out of her eyes. Pietro starts to dig his heel into the ground towards David. Steve throws his shield to the speedster, who catches it with ease. Tony uses one hand to attack the vampires between him and Steve while his other repulsor is pointed towards William, charging up.
Willam's speed nearly matches Pietro, his hands coming down so quickly.
It's over.
God, it was fucking over.
.
.
.
Hiss.
.
.
.
It was small at first. But then suddenly—
CRACK.
The entire field is lit up, lightning and vines zipping through them at an unstoppable force. They take hold of every artificial vampire in the area, grasping them in a vice-like grip. The lightning surrounds it in a second hold, squeezing tighter and tighter until they disintegrate.
William only pauses momentarily at the change on the field before a blur barrels into him ferally. The air leaves his lungs with a grunt. He drops the dagger on the ground, and Pietro scrambles to grab it and take off.
With no artificial vampires left on the field to battle, they all scramble toward David to help him.
They all watch, stunned.
The two bodies rolled on the ground over and over until William landed with force on his back.
And Liam on top.
Liam's eyes were pitch black, and his fangs bared as he snarled at William, snapping his jaws at him. William was surprisingly having a difficult time pushing Liam away, and it seemed Liam was using all his strength and alchemy to force William down.
It wasn't until Liam managed to bite into William's forearm that the man let out a piercing scream as poisonous venom was injected into him. Liam held tight, nearly taking a chunk out of William's arm before he released, biting again just a few inches over.
William began punching Liam in the head with his other arm until he was released. He crouches his legs in, pressing them against Liam’s pelvis as he uses them to knock Liam off of him.
Liam gracefully flips over and lands on his feet. Blood spilled out of his mouth and down his chin as he stood, and he wiped it away on the back of his hand.
"Leave," Liam growled, his eyes still black. "You won't win today."
William considers staying to fight, but he looks at the vines, still moving around. Also, the venom in his arm still pulsates with burning pain. He sniffs. He needs Liam's venom to reverse it; it's not his—
But then William narrows his eyes.
"You."
Liam doesn't respond to it, merely repeating, "Leave."
William snarls at the loss.
“Your venom,” William spits. “You know I can only delay the inevitable.”
Liam nods and they both tense as he blurs over to William, biting his hand before he runs back to create distance between the two.
William only gives him a withering glare before he turns and disappears.
Liam turns, and they all watch, slack-jawed. His eyes are still black, and it makes everyone's hackle rise. But it's like he doesn't register them; he just keeps walking until he's kneeling in front of David.
Liam assesses the damage to see if his venom can fix it temporarily. When he determines it can't, he bites deeply into his own wrist. When he releases, blood starts overflowing, and he immediately places it over David's mouth, who begins to drink greedily.
"What are you doing?" Natasha finds her voice first.
"Blood-sharing," Liam answers. "The blood in his own body is already working overtime and its priorities will always be major organs and the head. I fed before we came, so it should be potent enough to at least heal his arms, legs, and some of his ribs."
"You shouldn't," David mutters weakly, trying to speak and not let any blood escape his mouth. "You'll end up feral if you give me too much."
Natasha quickly connects the dots to why David didn't blood-share during the aftermath of Ultron.
Liam smiles weakly, his eyes slowly returning to normal when it seems like David will be okay. "We'll make do."
"If it's not enough, I'll give you mine," Natasha offers without hesitation.
David smiles thankfully at her. It's then that the Quinjet comes into view with Pietro flying it.
"We...we can't leave," Wanda suddenly says, her eyes welling with tears again. "We can't leave without her."
The heavy loss of you settles over everyone.
"It's okay," Liam says before he lifts his wrist away from David, licking the wound and sealing it up. "Tatyana won't hurt her. She probably can't even take her outside the city."
"How do you know?" Wanda hisses.
"Who the hell are you?" Tony finally asks. "Aren't you supposed to be human? What the hell was all of that?”
"You're clearly older than our two vampires. You're as strong as that William guy," Steve says carefully, assessing the vampire before him.
Liam sighs, running his hand through his hair. "I was William's apprentice. I only got the advantage with all your help to distract him and the fact he was blindsided from seeing me again. If it had just been me, it's possible even my alchemy couldn't kill him."
Liam looked directly at Natasha and Wanda.
"William is my maker, but I'm Elaine's."

Everyone is sitting back in the Compound, nursing their wounds. They sit around Tony's lab as he silently works on repairing his suit, and Tony is uncharacteristically quiet.
Steve was wiping blood from his brow, inspecting if the cut on it needed to be stitched back together. He, Tony, and Pietro were planning on heading back out to see if they could find any traces of you.
Steve's phone blinked with a message that he quickly checked from Sam.
Found him. Slippery little bastard, but I'll see if I can set a trap.
Steve lets out a tiny smile before sighing and putting away his phone. He feels disconcerted that you've been taken. He wonders at this point if you and Bucky will ever get to meet.
"Speak now," Wanda hisses, "and speak quickly."
"What are you?" Natasha asks without hesitation. "How can you be a vampire and also use alchemy? Those seem to oppose each other if one is meant to be a power to be able to protect themselves from the other."
"How the hell could I not sense you were a vampire?" David mutters, mostly to himself in disbelief. "Vampires are always able to sense each other. It's like a primal instinct that we recognize in each other. And I never saw you feed and we were together almost all the time!"
Liam sighs, almost overwhelmed by all the questions directed at him. "Alchemy is a neutral power but only humans are able to receive it. It has to do with their natural blood. Humans, specifically priests, just used it as so to protect themselves from being prey. I had the gift for it as a human, but it was too weak to fully manifest. Once I was turned, the venom in me unlocked something."
Turning to David, he looked apologetic before pointing to the alchemy spells down his left arm. "This keeps an illusion spell up. It makes it so you can't recognize the predator in me, but I have to be careful because if I force any kind of vampire instincts like bloodlust up, it breaks through the spell. I don't have to feed as often as you being as old as I am, but when I did, I took advantage of the times we were apart."
The room is silent, trying to process the information. Steve and Tony left to see if they could find any trace of you and if they could find any information about where William would be hiding.
"Let me start from the beginning," Liam sighs. "About who I am and everything that has happened to come to this moment."
Wanda has her lip curled in disdain but doesn't say anything. Natasha places her arm on Wanda's elbow, and the girl softens just a moment, leaning into the spy as they all quiet to listen.

Flashback
~1400s to 1600s~
The world was an unnaturally quiet place. At least to Liam. The markets were bustling, and people constantly moved during the day, but that noise never registered with him. Liam took in the days slowly with little to no rush, despite how much it would annoy his father and siblings.
But being the youngest did come with perks. They were generally much more lenient with him, and his mother seemed to hide the fact she'd allow him a taste of whatever was being made for the day first. It was a quiet life, and Liam hadn't minded one bit.
Despite the feeling that something was rumbling just underneath his skin and the crops he grew were always somehow much better than everyone else's, Liam liked his quiet life.
Moments of curiosity beckoned him to venture outside their quaint little farm and markets. Sometimes he stood out at the edge and looked out as if he could see anything beyond the horizon.
He couldn't leave, though.
Even if Liam wanted to see what he could do outside of growing crops, his family didn't need the uncertainty of waiting for him.
But just like how their little life was quiet, death comes just as quietly. Famine spreads through their lands, and Liam only manages to keep the crops alive a little longer than everyone else. One by one, they starve to death.
Being the youngest was a curse, always being given everything there was until he was the last one standing. Hunger gnawed at his stomach as he finally ventured past their quaint little farm and markets.
Hungry.
He was so hungry.
Liam thought about what he could do. Should he try to grow more crops? But the land had suddenly become unsuitable. He was quick with picking up things. Maybe he could try to find a merchant and learn the trade. Only can't remember the last time he saw a merchant pass by. Perhaps he should find a temple and look for work there. He'd have to shave his head, though.
And even as he stumbled upon a gruesome feeding man feeding on another man, Liam stood there motionlessly.
"Oh," the amused voice turned to look at him. "What have you stumbled upon, lost little boy?"
The words were difficult to understand. The man was white-skinned, clearly not from around here, but he had stayed long enough to learn the language from the locals.
"I'm not a boy," Liam shook his head and replied slowly so the man could process his words. His voice felt raspy from the lack of use.
"Could've fooled me," the man laughed lowly. "I can practically see your bones. You wouldn't even be a good feed."
"How can you eat him?" Liam asked as he looked upon the dead body, neck ripped open with blood running down. "Won't you get sick?"
The man raised his brow in amusement. It was strange that Liam didn't seem perturbed, but he supposed they had been experiencing famine for quite some time now. At this point, it was probably eat or be eaten.
"I won't get sick," the man told Liam, smiling sinisterly. "I'm a demon. I will never starve because there will always be blood."
It was quiet for a long moment, and the man wondered if Liam would turn to run. Liam was sweating at his brow and lip half-turned in a frown. Maybe he was too weak to even run away.
The man thinks that the thought of eating him doesn't even seem appealing. Maybe he'll just kill him and be on his way.
"Can I become a demon too?" Liam finally asks, locking eyes with the man, not flinching from their glowing redness. "If I become a demon, then I can live, right?"
The man stared, mouth agape. He starts laughing before he drops the body he's holding. "Fascinating, fascinating," he crooned. "It certainly won't be for free."
"I don't have money," Liam told him immediately. "If I had money, I would be searching for food to buy."
The man snorts. "I don't need money. Anything in this world is mine to take." He walks a slow circle around Liam. "What I want is an apprentice. I have plans, and my last one...didn't last very long."
Liam nodded.
The man smiled, but there was no comfort from it. "I must warn you, I don't have the patience to change you slowly. This will burn." He stepped closer, grabbing a fistful of Liam's hair and yanking his head back. "Welcome to the coven. My name is William, but you will refer to me as master."
⊶⊷⊶⊷⊶⊷⋆⊶⊷⊶⊷⊶⊷
William was a radical. There was no telling how long William was around since he rarely spoke about himself. All Liam knew was that William wanted more demons like him. Secretly, Liam could only surmise that being alone for so long must've been lonely. Being lonely for too long does something to your head.
A century passed by. It didn't feel as quiet as it did when Liam was human. It felt like something was pulsating under his skin, making his bones ache. Liam encountered many priests before, seeing what they called ‘God's power.’ The more they used it around him, the more something inside him resonated—the more it felt like something was about to come out.
But Willi—his master would kill him. If Liam did what he believed he could, he would die for it.
So, Liam started to study the priests from a distance. When he encountered them, he watched with rapt what they were doing, what they drew, and how they moved. When he finally got his hands on one of their 'incantation and hymn' books, he felt something different about his life for the first time.
Liam felt awake. There was a constant stream of excitement in his mind. He could copy the drawings in the book, but he needed someone to teach him how to read the incantations. The world had always moved so slowly, and now Liam couldn't help but want it to move faster.
The only time he could practice was when his master was away. Despite the initial resistance, Liam convinced William that building networks with humans was better. If he wanted to create more demons, then they needed more space.
They needed land and money and their influence to keep the pitchforks and fire away. It was much slower to accomplish, but it was working well.
Humans were naturally suspicious beings. Too much compulsion and out-of-the-ordinary behavior would have the priests marching right to them.
"How dare he!"
Liam folded the paper he was drawing on and slipped it into his pocket as he turned around to see William barge through the door and slam it shut.
"What's wrong, master?" Liam asked, no inflections in his tone.
"That Baron Hastings—" William huffed, and his face was flushed with anger. "Not only did he laugh at my proposal to invest, he actually dared to convince others not to invest, saying it was a dupe!"
Liam said nothing. Even though he knew whoever this Baron was, he was correct.
"Your idea of this route was foolish!" William gritted out before he ripped off his hat. "I've had enough of this sham. Tonight, we will raid Baron Hasting's estate and take him for all he has."
"Yes, master," Liam tilted his head in acknowledgment. There was no use trying to refute anything William said when he was in this state. He was rather impressed since it was at least a decade since the last time he's lost his temper like this.
The raid had been like it was every other time. The smell of massacre stopped making him nauseous long ago. Liam prefers to kill the servants by snapping their necks and only taking a bite or two out of them, if only to appease William. The overindulgence was intoxicating for a few short years before Liam decided that the smell of their fear during the massacre didn't make them taste as good. William thought otherwise.
As he finished up, he could hear something outside at the stables, but it was mostly covered by the sound of the Baron's wife screaming bloody murder. She wouldn't stop even as William threatened to kill her slowly if she didn't silence herself.
Liam took off out the back. The Baron did well for himself, seeing a small stable holding three horses. He wondered who the third horse was for since the Baron and his wife had no children, and it couldn't have been for any of the servants.
Then he gazed upon something he wasn't sure he'd ever seen.
You were shaking and crying in your fine, silk-green gown. You were well-groomed and obviously spoiled with luxury.
A mistress of the Barons, perhaps? How bold of you to be here while his wife was. But Liam inhaled deeply and tilted his head in confusion. While he did smell the Baron on you intimately, he could also smell the wife in the same way. The wife's scent was all around you, over you, inside you.
Strange, Liam thought. He didn't know that was possible.
"Please..." you whispered, eyes closing as you could hear a woman's scream again, tears running down your eyes. But you don't continue your sentence.
His bones felt achy again.
"Can you read?" Liam asked, causing you to look up unsurely. You looked like you wanted to bolt to see if you'd make it, but you stayed rooted.
You nod shakily nonetheless. "Yes, a little. The Baron and his wife were teaching me."
Liam nodded. "Master won't teach me to read."
You swallowed, trembling. You obviously were confused as to why this...this demon was talking to you instead of killing you. "Have you asked?"
Liam shook his head. "He doesn't like it if I do other things. If I ask, he'll just be angry. He only taught me this language because it makes it easier for him."
You were gripping the horse's reins tightly. "If you don't want to follow him, why do you?"
There was a blank look as Liam stared at you. "Master made me as I am. I'm not strong enough to beat him."
"Have you tried?"
"If I try and fail, then I'll die."
"If he's too strong, then you need to be smarter. The Baron says being smarter and playing the long game is far better than being stronger."
The words settle upon Liam like a blanket. His eyes sparkle as if he knows that he's smarter, and despite being a mere human, it was like your permission to be so was all he needed.
There was a heavy, pregnant pause.
"You can leave," Liam told you, gesturing back to the screaming with his head. "If you leave now, the master will probably not notice you. But you can't leave with the horse as it will make too much noise. You must walk, not run. Your heart is already beating so loud and running will make it worse."
"I—" you started to say but choked. The tears that welled up in your eyes earlier fall over your already tear-stained face. "I can't leave without them."
Liam tilted his head. "Why not?"
"The baroness is screaming so I can leave," you told him, choking on your sob. "The moment we heard the break-in, The Baron pushed us both out the back, but the Baroness knew we both couldn't escape. She left me here and went back in."
"Then you should leave," Liam reasoned. "If she did it for you, you should live."
"Just to die another day," you muttered, wiping your tears. "How do you leave the first person to show you that kind of love? I—I can't. I should be in there too."
Liam ponders the words. He kind of understands. He loved his family as much as he could. It was hard to leave their bodies behind, but he kept moving because they had given him every last morsel so he could keep going.
And while you did not show him anything remotely close to love, you did show him something. And the ache in his bones made him feel like he shouldn't leave you behind. Playing the long game, as you said, will require time. And in the end, Liam knows he can't do it alone.
"Then die as a human and join them," Liam resounded before he blurred over to you and bit your neck, releasing his venom. There was no scream from your mouth, just your jaw dropping in shock. The taste of fear in your blood repulses him a little, but he hangs on, draining you. He was sorry—genuinely sorry—unlike his master, who warned him with false regret in his voice. Liam was sorry that your change would be painful.
When Liam felt your pulse nearly stop, he released you. He looked back at the house that was slowly becoming quieter. The screams quelled. He hopes you don't remember much of this.
Tonight, you'll die as a human and join the Baron and Baroness.
Then...then you'll wake up a demon, and the long game begins.
⊶⊷⊶⊷⊶⊷⋆⊶⊷⊶⊷⊶⊷
Natasha and Wanda feel breathless as they listen to Liam. You told them your side of the story when you were changed, which was very little as you didn’t recall much outside of waking up with a burning pain and smelled the massacre.
To hear it from Liam’s side was…they didn’t know how to describe it. It made them want to hunch over and scream.
"I watched her in secret for many, many years. I managed to drag William from town to town. Not too close, obviously. That's how Tatyana and William met, I believe. I thought that Tatyana would've joined to get rid of William, but..." Liam rubbed the back of his head and didn't finish the sentence. "When Tatyana died, and Elaine became close to that priest, I saw it as an opportunity. I needed to learn alchemy and that priest and his family were going to be the only way. So, I escaped and went into hiding. William eventually stopped looking and continued to travel further away from me."
"How were you even able to get close without alerting them?" David asks with a frown. "She would've sensed you for sure if you didn't have your alchemy tattoos yet."
Liam shakes his head. "Your senses don't react the same way when you're near your maker. When you said you can always sense the predator in a vampire, what's actually happening is your venom senses other venoms. Your venom is unique to you, but it did come from your marker. Therefore, you can't sense it very well because your venom sees it as an extension of itself. While venom is unique to yourself, it does recognize shared venom. When you bite someone, only your venom can fully counteract it. But anyone in the same venomline as you can delay the poisoning, like a partial healing."
"Huh," David hums, holding his chin. "You learn something new every day. That explains why I never felt any alarms or hackles rise when I saw her. I thought it was because I recognized her as a coven mate, but that makes more sense when vampires form their own coven by changing others versus outsiders banding together."
Liam nods, smiling at David before continuing his story. "I learned a lot from Leonard by just watching and listening to him teach his children. They continued their traditions and upheld alchemy for a very, very long time. Until a child came that didn't have a gift, and they couldn't bear any more children."
"Robert," Natasha realizes, recalling the priest they met in Nashville. Liam nods. "He said you were adopted. They must've adopted you and thought you were, what, 17 at the most? How did you manage that? You look..." Natasha trails. "Older."
"The documents I forged officially said so, but I did learn enough fundamentals of alchemy to experiment on my own to change some of my features," Liam reveals. "I think his grandfather suspected but never attempted to find out. I was a prodigy once I had proper teachings and although awkward, sincere."
"Did you know?" Wanda demanded immediately. "Did you know Tatyana was alive?"
Liam is silent initially. "I suspected," he admits. "I couldn't quite keep tabs on William after I escaped, but his behavior was strange weeks leading up to Tatyana's death."
"We couldn't find even a trace of them." Steve and Tony burst through the doors together, looking tired, angry, and defeated. The news of your disappearance sets off everyone in the room. Angry tears well up in Wanda's eyes, that feeling of loss at her door again.
And she is so, so fucking tired of losing.
"You knew," Wanda hisses at Liam, malice laced in her tone. Her lips were pursed, and her eyes narrowed in an accusatory manner. "You knew all along that Tatyana was alive and would eventually come after us."
Wanda's eyes began to glow, her magic manifesting around her in angry, red wisps. "You knew and you let Tatyana take her!" Her magic bursts towards Liam, grabbing him like a vice. His body stiffens and jerks in her hold as he releases a gasp of pain.
"Wanda, wait!" David calls out to her, but it doesn't register. He tries to grab Liam to pull him out of Wanda's grasp, but he can't get Liam to even budge. David turns to everyone else in the room, but everyone is conflicted about whether or not to step in after finding out the truth about Liam. Steve looks like he wants to step in, but the anger about losing you keeps you rooted. He wants answers, and if Wanda can get them from Liam, he'll stay in place with his arms crossed and eyebrows furrowed.
"Nat," David turns to the redhead instead, his eyes pleading. "Please. Liam must've had his own reasons for not saying anything. We need all the help we can get."
Natasha purses her lips. She'd be more than content to let Wanda rip Liam to shreds. She's so unbelievably angry to the point where it feels like hot needles are pricking her and boiling her blood. You were right there. You had been right there in front of her, and Natasha lost you. There was nothing she could've done to save you, and that's what makes Natasha the angriest.
But it's the years of experience—the training she's endured all her life— that she can put aside her emotions and be rational. Natasha gently places her hand over Wanda's clenched hand. The warmth of her skin makes Wanda look at her, the anger in her eyes slowly dimming as she stares into Natasha's gentle look.
The red glow disappears from Wanda's eyes, the wisp drawing back into her. She releases Liam from her grip, still glaring at him as he falls into David's arms. Liam's slightly hunched over, trying to regain his breath.
Natasha feels Wanda slip her hand into hers, and the warmth that seeps out is comforting. She coolly turns her head towards Liam, chin jutted upwards. "As much as I would like Wanda to give your comeuppance, you hold valuable information. You better have a plan or have some knowledge of how to save her and get rid of Tatyana for good."
Liam recovers from Wanda's attack as he gives a slight nod to David that he's okay and stands straight. "I had never intentionally planned for anyone to be kidnapped," he emphasizes, having the consciousness to at least look guilty. "I didn’t reveal myself because I wasn’t sure how Tatyana had been listening in. I truly believed that Tatyana was working with William to overthrow the humans. I'm not sure what changed, but it's clear that Tatyana abandoned William and had no intentions of creating sustainable creatures for his army again."
Natasha and Wanda look at each other for a brief moment. They recall the moment William had looked betrayed. The anger that rushed into William's eyes and the heat that pulsated through him—there was no way that was a part of their plans.
"Tatyana was able to recreate her body, but there definitely had to be a price paid," Liam continues. "I could feel something different about her, something not human. We need to find out exactly what she did to recreate her body because it was unlikely she was actually able to preserve it after she was killed. If we can find out, we can find a counter spell to undo it."
"That's if we can even stop her from using her magic," Natasha shakes her head. "Every time that woman casts a spell, we're always fucked."
"There has to be a spell to nullify her powers or stop her from using them," Liam thoughtfully says before sighing. "It's a shame we don't know any more witches. Usually, each coven has its own spell book."
"I'm sure I can figure something out," Wanda rubs her brow, a tiny headache forming. "Let's just form a plan first to find William and lure Tatyana out."
"In the case that there is another army waiting, we need to figure something out. If Tatyana won't create more vampires for William, he might just turn to the old fashion way of changing people. Even just a dozen of them will be troublesome for us, especially if they turn out to have gifts. The more time we lose, the more time he has to change people," Steve points out.
"What was that wood you said could kill you?" Tony asks David. "The...meth...metha...methu...the meth tree."
David gives Tony a look before he rolls his eyes. "Methuselah."
"That's what I said," Tony smirks. "If I can get my hands on a sample of it, I could probably turn it into something more effective to kill vampires...uh..." Tony paused. "Obviously not you guys, though. I'll work something out."
David wishes you were here to laugh at Tony. He lets out a deep sigh before he locks his eyes with Natasha and Wanda. "I'm going to find her," he promises them. "There isn't any place in the world Tatyana can hide her from me."
"How are you so sure?" Wanda frowns. She knows of his abilities, but Tatyana is a witch. They could be in a hut with no technology around.
David smiles, although sheepishly. "I have trackers in both her molars."
"What?!" Natasha narrows her eyes at David.
"It's fine!" David insists. "She knows, and I have trackers in both my molars too. Sometimes we do really stupid shit, and on two separate occasions, we couldn't find each other, and well—" David shrugs.
They all stare at him.
"Anyway, it's not always on," David says as if that should be obvious. "We just activate it when we can't find each other. I've reactivated it since we returned back here. It just takes some time to ping down a location even if I'm a technopath. The further she is, the longer it takes but we'll know soon."
They all continued to stare at him.
Tony finally opens his mouth to speak.
"You two are fucking weirdos."

The table was set for three, although it definitely had space for at least twelve. Luigi thought he might have to shout to be heard on the other end. Bowser sat at the head of the table, in a seat clearly made for him; grand and imposing, with dark wood and spiky details. Junior sat near his dad, in a chair that was clearly his own as well.
Which left Luigi alone, all the way across the table. He wasn't sure whether it made him more comfortable or more anxious. Probably both.
The food brought in by Koopa waiters was no where near a grand feast, but for just the three of them, it was huge. There were potatoes and chicken and bread he assumed was freshly baked. There was even a small serving of pasta, just for him. It was admitted quite sad looking, but it still brought a smile to Luigi's face.
"So you actually came."
Bowser's usual voice was enough to travel across the table, but Luigi knew he had to speak up to have the same effect. "I thought it would have been rude not to."
"Didn't think this was a place you'd care about being rude at. 'S my castle after all."
"Well, I'm here on good terms, I might as well act it." Luigi busied himself with piling food onto his plate so he wouldn't have to meet Bowser's eyes.
Bowser chuckled slightly, a low rumbling sound that wasn't harsh enough to be threatening. "At least you have manners. Can't say the same for everyone else at this table."
"Daaad."
Luigi popped a bite of pasta into his mouth, gagging as he forced it down his throat while faking a smile to be polite. Maybe it was just custom for food in this kingdom to be under seasoned and overcooked.
Although, judging from the look on Junior's face, Luigi stared to think that might not be the case.
Luigi thought he'd masked his reaction pretty well, but Bowser clearly noticed. "Well, I hope the food wasn't too terrible, 'm not exactly the best chef."
"Wait, you made this?"
Bowser nodded, the slight smile on his face a mix between pride and shame. "I could've asked the castle chefs, but I wanted to do something more personal." His final words were almost lost to the air with their faintness, but Luigi caught it.
"Well, I think it's quite good."
Junior stuck his tongue out, nudging at a piece of burnt chicken with his fork. "Yeah sure."
Bowser chuckled. "You don't have to lie to me ya know. I can see the food in front of me too. Figured it wouldn't go well from the start, so I decided against making a dessert as well."
"It's okay, I thought that might happen, so um..." Luigi laughed to himself, pulling out the small box he had tucked gingerly inside his bag. "I brought cake. Peach, uh, made it."
Junior slammed his hands down onto the table, eyes wide with childish glee. "Cake!" he exclaimed, glancing over at Bowser. "I can have some, right?"
Bowser chuckled, ruffling his son's hair. "Sure thing kiddo. Just don't eat too much, okay? I know how good the Princess's cakes are." He turned to Luigi. "Tell her I said...I—" He paused, blinking a few times as if to clear his mind. "Ah nevermind, of course you can't tell her I said anything, that was stupid."
Luigi felt a pang of hurt for him, as he sighed. "Hey, it's okay. I'll tell her my dining companions enjoyed it very much."
Bowser smiled thankfully, before shifting his attention back towards his son, who was reaching for the cake. "Lemme cut you a slice okay? Maybe the koopalings want to try some later too."
Junior's frown immediately turned to a smile when he saw the generous slice his dad cut for him. "Thank you thank you thank you!"
Bowser smiled as Junior dug into the cake, before gesturing for Luigi to follow him. Despite dinner being surprisingly nice, he was a little hesitant to be left alone with Bowser, but after taking one more look at Junior's happy face he decided to follow along.
Bowser stopped once they were out of earshot from Junior, his eyes looking everywhere but at Luigi. "Luigi, I—I'm glad you've been coming over. Junior needs someone like you in his life."
"Gratzi Bowser. I'm happy to be here too."
Luigi hadn't realized it until he said it, but we was. He felt happy here, but it was a different kind of happy than when he was with Peach, or even his brother. He wasn't familiar with this new feeling.
"Would you like to have dinner again sometime? Maybe you could meet the other kids. O-or we could have dinner, just the two of us."
Luigi had never seen the Koopa King this flustered before. It was...cute, which wasn't a word he'd ever thought he'd use to describe Bowser. Luigi faked a cough to hide the red he was sure was spreading across his cheeks.
"Oh, uh, sure. I would love to."

I just hope that if they do bring back Seb that they actually don't talk about his vile mother at all. I stopped watching because of how Aaron was treated in that storyline and bringing back her child is like opening the gates to talking about her again.
I couldn't even enjoy any scenes with him in before because the entire time they were talking about Rebecca and it makes me feel so sad for my little fave Aaron. It's like Robert and Rebecca are the Main Couple and Aaron just the clinger on and it's horrible. Even if she's not in the show she's still there. Robert always put her feelings first because she's the mother of his child, even when she's being a complete vile person. I just want her wiped out and never mentioned again like the virus she is.
Losing Seb would be sad but at least it would draw a line under that horrible story and give Aaron and Robert a chance to have a family that they chose that can't be taken away from them, rather than having to work around her whims and demands.
I know you think he's the only good thing about that story but to a lot of us he is just a constant reminder, as the writers use him as an excuse to make scenes about her. "I can't he has to go back to his mums" "haha Rebecca said this when I dropped him home" "Rebecca doesn't want us doing this with him" etc etc etc even if it doesn't be to be said.
killing her off would be the bare minimum as long as she's not talked about. Aaron would'nt ever be a equal parent if she is alive, or even an equal husband in his own marriage. If Robert comes back with seb it would be exactly the same boring dad Robert who revolves around his son and his sons mother first. Which isn't robron. It's robecca featuring Aaron.
You don't have to respond to this by the way. Sorry.
I know I slept late today but did I wake up in 2017??
Sorry anon, I get what you mean, I used to feel that way too. Throughout rebecca's whole pregnancy I was like "how are they EVER going to fix this?? That baby will always be a reminder of The Incident." But then they showed Rob loving him and putting him first (instead of his schemes), and then AARON falling in love with him because he's Robert's and he loves Robert so he loves his son too.
And after she gave birth (which focused more on bringing Aaron back into the story than her having a baby) rebecca was an afterthought in her own kid's life. Seb was 'used' to bring robron closer together - with Aaron looking after him instead of spending time with his doctor boyfriend (🤣) - Aaron 'rescued' him when rebecca fucked off and nearly burnt Vic's house down, Aaron was the one to suggest Seb moved into the mill, and Aaron referred to himself as his stepdad/parent more than once ("This is about MY HUSBAND and MY STEPSON"). I'm willing to bet Aaron had more scenes with Seb (with or without Robert) than Rebecca did.
And after losing Rob, Seb was the only one who could put a smile on Aaron's face. He loves that little boy.
Tumblr media
And even if they don't kill rebecca off off screen... That doesn't mean she'll get mentioned all the time. I mean Ross is supposedly very much alive in off screen land, yet Charity mentioned him maybe once the past year? Jai NEVER mentions Megan and Eliza - not when he and Laurel got married (you'd think he'd want his daughter there, right?), not when Rishi died (he was Eliza's granddad too), David never mentions Priya and Amba (and they left pretty recently), Gabby never talks about Jamie, Kim never talks about the demon child Millie. Vic never mentions Seb OR Robert. (There used to be a picture of Seb in Vic's house but it's gone now.)
So long story short, if they bring back Robert (🤡🤞) I really hope they'll let robron raise Seb AND let them have that football team of kids they talked about (Seb needs siblings!).

~Third POV~
It was the second week in the dorms, you had all settled in nicely, it was around 9am and everyone was awake, well except for you. You were passed out on your bedroom floor, seeing as you were up all night doing God knows what you were quite worn out so now you're just spread out on the black rug on your floor. Sleeping was ni- *BANG BANG BANG*, "WHAT THE FU-" You shot up instantly in a confused and agitated state, "OI DUMBASS GET UP, THOSE IDIOTS CAN'T COOK FOR SHIT AND I REFUSE TO TEACH THEIR USELESS ASSES" Bakugou screamed at you behind your door as you got up, flipped him off and got dressed.
Grabbing your phone and your Bluetooth headphones you pocketed both/ your phone and layed your headphones around the back of your neck. Exiting your dorm and closing the door as you rubbed the sleep from your eyes making your way to the kitchen area. "Alright, what'd you idiots need help with aga-" , you paused seeing the disaster the kitchen was in "Oh God what the hell, WHAT THE HELL IS THIS??" You panicked wondering how a group of UA students could mess up such an easy life skill, some mystery food was very much charcoal burnt, Midoriya was crying and Momo was clearly about to have a breakdown. " I just wanted our c-class to have a g-group breakfasSSSTT" She spoke to herself as she suddenly burst into tears. You ran upto her looking/up/down at her tearfilled eyes and awkwardly embraced her as chaos ran through the dorm, "Heyy, it's alright I have half decent cooking skills so I'm sure I'll be able to salvage whatever they were exactly aiming to make" You cringed as you spoke trying your best to not want to hurl than and there. "Alright, everyone OUT, I need this space for a whole hour and NO ONE interrupting me either please and thank you", You spoke clapping your hands and quickly got to work cleaning up before starting to cook.
Mesmerised by your efficiency in the kitchen Midoriya, Kirishima, Mineta and Hagakure stared at you with amazement and pure joy.
Tumblr media
With such extreme focus you prepared a breakfast to feed your entire class and left-overs, of course you didn't need to but you wanted to. You enjoyed/didn't enjoy cooking but/so you were happy to help with breakfast/ you did enjoy making sure your class was taken care of so you cooked anyway. "Food's ready! Come eat!" You called out towards your dorm mates as they all started rushing in like a stampede. You had prepared a variety of foods, ranging from hardy brunch or light smooth sides. "OH WOW! THIS LOOKS DELICIOUS L/N" Hagakure says with joy as you laugh and scratch the back of your neck "Thank you and you all know I prefer my first name even if we all aren't extremely close?" You respond nonchalantlly, feeling uncomfortable with people calling you by your last name even if it was respectful. "Oh right! Thank you for the meal!" Everyone but Bakugou shouts and bows their heads as they all start plating their food. Grabbing your own plate you sit down at one of the far left tables. Sitting just across from bakugou he snarled at you "Oi Q/B/N (quirk based nickname) what the hell are you doing?", He glared at you with egg hanging from his chopsticks, "Chill out Bakugou, I'm still tired I don't feel like making conversations with the others" You called back at him, stuffing your face with rice. 4 other plates slam down next to both of you. Sero, Mina, Kirishima and Kaminari accompanied you all chatting and eating.
You spaced out with food still in your mouth, Bakugou nudged your shin with his foot, shaking your head you swallowed your food, "Hm?" You tilted your head at him as he nudged his head towards Mineta harassing Ojiro and Deku. You gripped your chopsticks "What does this grape fuck want with them?" You stood up and slammed down your chopsticks, walking towards them but being stopped by Bakugou with him putting a hand just infront of your stomach, you glared at him but he only stared at the three of them leaving you confused but a flow of admiration gushed against you when you saw Ojiro himself grab mineta and throw him against a wall, "You're really annoying mineta, but atleast I was gentle" He said sitting back down and continuing his meal. You clapped your hands and sat back down also to continue eating, "Ya know, some of these idiots aren't that bad, but that doesn't mean I like anyone here!" Bakugou chirped at you while you chuckled in response "Yea yea, I know, so how's the food?" You asked sparking conversation, "It's decent, a little light in my opinion, besides I like spicy food alot more than regular food." He responded, you nodded  understanding his point of view "Oi, are you doing anything today Q/B/N? God knows these extras are more mindless than sheep" He questioned you, you and Kirishima definitely got along with Bakugou more than the rest of the class did with him. "Yea, I'm picking up my costume from Power Loader and Hatsume, got it fixed and added some simple support items nothing big but still took longer than normal adjustments" You explained as he took in the information "I'm coming with you extra" He spat at you,"I- You're what? Why?" You retorted in confusion, "BECAUSE I SAID SO NERD!" He shot up and yelled, picked up his finished plate to go wash it and went to get ready. "Damn Bakuhoe what's your deal" You whispered as you also went to clean your dishes. Mina and Kaminari started crying laughing once they heard your comeback "God Y/N that name was ge-", as you put your plate in the sink you noticed something, "WHO IN GODS NAME BURNT THE PAN THIS BADLY?!?" Your voice rang in everyone's ears. "Oh shit" Kaminari sweat dropped "I'm screwed" He squeaked out as he ran for his dorm. "Y/N NO" the class shouted, "GET YOUR ASS BACK HERE, I BOUGHT THAT PAN"  You ran after him.
Ah yes, another day in the 1A dorms.
¤゜゜・..・゜゜・・゜゜・..・¤
Hope you enjoyed :]]
