Paulina's trying to make her a big flower crown while Carlos and Armando are serenading their mother with their made-up song.🥰😘 And yes, I never mentioned they had a fourth baby🤭 I’ve been away for so long because I haven’t been feeling well and have gone through rougher days. My move to the city was also quite an adjustment. But after some rest on our term break, I feel a bit better now. I’ll try to make progress. (For those of you who don’t know, I’m actually a college animation student.)

I would've drawn more if only my tablet didn't get broken. Drawing with my phone and fingers takes me soooo long to finish. Funfact: - Again, Alora/Luna's real or legal name is "Alora" -The three have some triplet intuition where they feel a harsh pinch when and where one of them is hurt. This started when Alora had an accident. -Imelda was actually 5'10" and Manuel was around 5'6" -Lauro and Lorenzo are currently around 5'6" to 5'7". They take after Imelda. -Luna is currently around 5'2" to 5'3". -Bruno is the triplet's godfather -Bruno was the best man at Imelda and Manuel's wedding

Día de Amor y Amistad PART 1/2 (Assuming it's Sept 16) 💞💖✨💕

Context: Alora couldn't bring herself to give the flowers to Camilo in person because her brothers said only guys should give girls flowers. She also couldn't reveal her identity right away cause she feels a bit embarrassed to be called a simp like the other admirers.

But Camilo noticed the handwriting and use of words anyway. Her handwriting usually looks neat and printed or a calligraphy.

Before this particular day, Raphael was already introduced and he usually hangs out with Alora since she is neighbors with his great grand aunt. Camilo had been jealous and thought Alora liked Raphael. The flowers and note eased him as a confirmation that she only has her eyes on him.

Paulina's mini comic is on hold for this. Will post PART 2 tomorrow.

OC was born on New Year's eve. In her life, January 1st is: -The 1st day of a new year -Her birthday -Imelda's death anniversary (her mother)

Funfact: -She loves watching fireworks and holding sparklers. -Her brother Lauro loves blowing up fireworks -Her brother Lorenzo is busy attending new year parties with teens their age. (Party animal) -She's a triplet but she wasn't born on the same date as them. Her brother's bday is Dec 31st. (I was just too busy to make mini-comics)

Base - Tiana (The Princess and the Frog) I picked a Disney character that looked the closest to how I envisioned Alora/Luna in 3D. She was based on or inspired by Tiana (The Princess and the Frog), Edwina Sharma (Bridgerton), and Enola Holmes.

This current version of her is my favorite design because it perfectly fits her personality and character traits and makes her look exactly like how old she is supposed to be. In her old designs, she looks like she's over 17 or 18.

She is what you call “as wise as an owl”. She has a set of curious eyes, an angelic smile, and a brilliant mind. She is sincere, empathetic, wise, and analytical, but sometimes she tends to overthink. She is socially shy and awkward, and may often look serious, but she’s actually pretty funny and a bit feisty once you get to know her. She is also very observant and rarely trusts anyone. She can see through people and read body language. She is the most difficult person to deceive. Like her father, she is a polymath and philomath. She has read almost every book in the library. She likes to understand how everything works and even took up her father’s studies. She’s good at engineering, crafting, and giving advice. Her favorite things to craft are dollhouses and music boxes. She is secretly a foodie and culinary arts is her therapy. She stress-eats a lot. She's a fraternal triplet, but given that she's the youngest, she is often treated like a baby rather than taken seriously by her extended family. In the future, if I have finally settled on the final concept for her original story (with her whole family, especially her brothers), I want to keep the same personality and color palette, which are white, dark blue, and yellow/gold.

🩵Old vs New💙 Design

🩵I finally got to draw the old beloved design🥹

🩵I made a lot of changes with Alora Luna's design. I simplified her to make her characteristics a bit more realistic. The old design kind of focused more into aesthetics and she was just overall confusing cause there's too many things going on with her from her clothes, traits, skills, and even with her backstory. I love the new design better because it's more focused on the narrative and I did my best to make her a bit more realistic. I'll make a post of her new official design soon (I already made the drawing but it needed some tweaks).

💙 Basically her new description is that she's intelligent, meticulous, and very perceptive or observant. She's big on academics but she secretly has a passion for creative writing. Her dad owns a restaurant in the city (the year is 1950s), where she gladly helps him along with her 3 brothers.

💙✨Her new design is flexible. She can both be a part of the Encanto universe, but she can also stand on her own with her own story.✨

💙 The changes on her appearance by the way is that I pushed the contrast between her and Camilo.

Yet even without Camilo, she can still stand on her own cause I loved her new design the way it is and it's staying that way. The wardrobe will maybe have a few variations.

So In this AU, Alora Luna is a city girl who came to the village of Encanto to study the origin of their miracle. She's the daughter of an anthropologist and scientist.

She always seems to be so prim and proper or even innocent to the public eye, but could actually be feisty and fierce when challenged🤣 She grew up with 3 brothers and was raised by their father.

Both Camilo and Valentino are unaware of Alora's "dark side"🤣 She can beat their a*s at football/soccer😂

Close-Ups

Camilo is very close with his daughter Paulina. When she was a baby, he used to turn into her a lot and play with her. So much so, that some people actually thought Paulina had a twin sister. Their bondings included styling each other's hairs, performing/acting, hoarding food, and pulling a few pranks here and there.

However in terms of seeking good advice (very emotional moments) and help with homeworks, Paulina always turns to her mom.

Camilo is terrified of what Paulina's "rebellious phase" would be like.

Though it appears that her personality is a carbon copy of her father, that's not entirely the case. Alora/Luna also had a mischievous side, especially as a kid. Which is picking locks, escaping, hiding "disappearing", and tracking people down.

AND THEY KEPT THINKING ABOUT HOW THEY'RE SPAWNING GREMLINS🤣

I'm still not so sure about her new hair style though. It's a bit tricky to pick because some other hair styles make her look older than she should be. 🌙Some concept art of Luna & minor clarifications

I still couldn't publish the next chapters because of some several issues that came up this week with my schedules.

I'm doing my best to make sure I'd be able to budget my time wisely with all the things I have to take care of.

For the following days, I'll be posting King Bruno, and the Madrigal children's designs of my Encanto Empire AU. Maybe I'll even start with the simple comics of that AU.

Part 2 of her return will proceed shortly. I'm still trying to figure out a manageable art style. One that would still look presentable, but will surely help me save time. I'm also planning on joining 2 DTIY challenges next week.

Updated design/reference sheet of my OC - Luna Guerrera💙✨

🌙If you have read the previous chapters, you'll know that her full name is "Luna Alora L. Guerrera".

💙After re-watching Encanto, I realized how Luna looks so out of place in the village of Encanto. To me, she doesn't look like a normal villager in her last design. I love it, but it's inaccurate. So I created a new design that's mostly inspired from the villagers in the movie and in the concept art. I actually liked the outcome because it reflects more of her mysterious nature and personality. I hope you like it as much as I do.
