my theory of how the buck/tommy and eddie/marisol relationships will play out, and how they open the door to buddie becoming endgame.

so before tommy and buck kissed, when buck mentioned that he was trying to get the attention of tommy, tommy says "my attention?" as if even tommy is surprised by this. buck then follows up by saying something along the lines of "yeah, i guess?". this shows that this relationship is already starting off on rocky grounds.

so fast forward to buck and tommy's date that will be in 07x05. in the preview, it's seen that buck is already tense throughout the entirety of it. you could chalk this up to what buck says, that he's still uneasy about his sexuality, which makes sense. or you could take it as buck recognizes, whether consciously or subconsciously, that this date is not what he truly wants. either way, it shows the lack of comfortability that buck has around tommy that we've grown so used to seeing between buck and eddie.

so in the middle of this date, marisol and eddie show up (as shown in the preview). i believe this will lead to some awkward double-date, one where marisol realizes that there's something different about how eddie talks to buck. i believe by the end of 07x05, marisol and eddie will be broken up. maybe during this break up, we see marisol make some small comment about how eddie acts differently towards buck than anyone else. nothing too big or obvious, but enough to get eddie to start questioning himself.

que the long haul, multiple episodes of pinning eddie who's trying a little too hard to make sure buck knows eddie is completely fine with buck with bisexual, and that he fully supports buck and tommy together. maybe even so much so that buck thinks for a moment that eddie is, in fact, uncomfortable with buck being queer.

i think buck and tommy will break up on the season finale of season seven. tommy will come to terms with what he's suspected since "my attention?" and know that what buck truly wants is eddie. tommy will say as much to buck during the break up, which buck will deny. but it won't change the results. buck will be a single, bisexual man who's finally seeing his best friend in a new kind of light. and eddie will be single and pining for ages.

ok but in the 6x14 intro scene when pepa sets eddie up on a surprise blind date, his argument is that he “can’t just marry a stranger” which is.....interesting because obviously pepa didn’t throw him into an arranged marriage, it’s just a date.

but there is one reason he might have jumped straight to thinking of this woman as being his wife...........when the only place in his life that hasn’t already been filled is a spouse.....🤔

he already has a best friend and a co-parent and a life partner and safe space and christopher already has another parent which means eddie wouldn’t be dating her for christopher’s sake, she’d have one spot left to be his wife and nothing else
