05.20.22

today was really great!

i woke up at 8 and cooked breakfast for me and langston, my roommate. i made chicken sausage and this bag of frozen potatoes that had eggs and onions and seasonings, and we had toast. it was really yummy!

after that, i went back to sleep for a half hour. i find i feel really tired and very easily lately, probably because i don’t get that much movement in anymore. another curse of my current living sitch.

at 10 i took a shower, and moisturized! having bath and body works products makes self care much more fun! i totally need to get more once i have a steadier cash flow. i decided not to blow dry my hair and what a good decision it was - my waves came out beautifully today! i wish i took a picture! and i’ve been obsessed with this certain eyeshadow combo - purple, pink, mint, and light pink. it looks better when you can see it on my face lol.

after showering and getting dressed and stuff, i packed up a bag, and made a cup of iced coffee and then i was good to go! i headed out for katie’s at 11:30 and got here at 1, traffic wasn’t bad at all, and i was honestly having fun using the cruise control lol. i wasn’t particularly moved by the music that was playing but some songs had me singing along!

when i got here, katie met me at my car door with a hug!! i brought my stuff in and we started catching up right away, and then we decided to go to target and then swing by wawa to get some lunch. it started raining while we were on the way there so we ran in the rain a few times lol. i finally found another pair of those cute white canvas shoes!! a pair that fits even better than the ones i have now (that are a year+ old lol), so i was really happy to find them. i also got a floating bluetooth speaker so i can use it at the pool at ✨my new apartment✨!!

because, yes, today i FINALLY got the approval call!! everything was sent in yesterday and they worked really fast to get me approved which was cute and i really appreciated that!

but yeah so we went to wawa and got an italian hoagie and some mac and cheese. the hoagie was okay, it doesn’t taste as amazing as i remember but honestly no red meat does anymore. but it was still good! after lunch we decided to dye katie’s hair, she wanted to go from her half-dye orange back to full black, so we went down to redners and bought some dye and then we did it! i played hair stylist and did all the dyeing and i did pretty well!! only one spot is kind of still orange but not totally and not noticeably lol.

after that we kind of just chilled and watched some tv, and decided what we’ll do tomorrow and stuff. then we painted our nails and aunt maire came home and started dinner, which didn’t take long at all! uncle joe came home too and we all sat down to a very very yummy dinner, i have no idea what it was but it was pretty good. aunt maire made this really yummy cheese tortellini pasta salad with peppers and little tomatoes it was delicious. i think i ate more of that than the main dish lol. i told her over dinner about lexi and the issues i’m having surrounding that, in no specific detail, but the gist of it, and caught her up on my life in general, and we planned to go to the PA ren faire in october when katie is on break!

following dinner, me katie and aunt maire played 10 days in europe and 10 days in the usa and i only won once i think. and then we played rumikub and i won once again. it was fun, i love sitting down to play games w my family, and it really passes time!! we also had the yummiest butteriest popcorn ever. it’s the little things lol.

after finishing board games, katie and i headed upstairs, and she gave me a tarot reading and i realized a lot of things. specifically, that i need to center myself in my life and it needs to be a conscious effort until it’s not, if that makes sense. like it needs to become a habit. and my life cannot revolve around daydreaming about the same dude over and over again, because overall it’s not good for me. katie kept saying something about the end of a cycle, and boy, i fucking hope this cycle does end bc it’s borderline self-harmful at this point, like i ignore my daily responsibilities and tasks to overdose on dopamine in its various forms. and that’s bad, and i want to do other things.

i explained i just feel stuck bc of my living situation, but luckily that’s going to resolve soon as well. so yeah, lots of new conclusions, and there will be lots more consciously living in the moment and self-prioritizing from me, lol. after that i gave katie a lil astrology transit reading and we went to sleep and here i am, reflecting about my day.

overall, the day was great. i love seeing my family sooo much! especially katie and my aunt. i need to remember to go see grandma while i’m here.

tomorrow, we’re getting up “early” (8:30 lol) to go to the farmers market, and then we’re going to go to this food truck festival. i’m excited!
