Most tidings had been glad. Many were beyond their wildest dreams. Tales of their sister-land of old, fortresses, strongholds, armies vast beyond count and people with stranger sorts than the waking mind could conjure.

The cairn was tall. The company was solemn. Wet leaves had been cleared from the site, the grass trimmed to a respectful measure, and logs hewn for a pyre of their own.

It fell to Daerdan, voice broken, to complete the rite.

The heralds of all the news- good and ill- had kin within the Wardens. Techeron and Lothrandir were happy returns, each bearing a portion of Orchalwë's weight. Radanir he knew as well, more by tale than anything, and stood in the ranks with Laegeneth, Branadir, and Celegdes.

Orchalwë was to set the final stone upon the cairn. He bore it as the weight of the Keep, a thousand-fold its weight with the memory it meant to them. He fell, huddled at the foot of it, and wept. The Wardens wept with him.

And once the sun had set, Evendim rang with still, placid silence.

I bought my mother a new cell phone using an awesome coupon, and today she wanted to buy my dad a phone. She was logged in and we tried to buy the new phone and the coupon wasn't working. So, I called upon a rep.

Rep: code only can be used once

Me: thanks! 🙃

Me: *30 seconds later goes back onto the website, picks exact same phone, checks out as guest this time, uses an alternate name and email, same address, same payment method. Coupon worked. Misson accomplished.

#I'm feeling like trash physically I really don't know what to do???#I have been struggling so much with eating recently but I thought it was normal because of the upcoming exam y'know?#Well yesterday I took the exam and yet the problem??? Didn't magically disappear like I thought??? And now I feel so betrayed??????#Yesterday I got takeaway at my favorite Chinese restaurant and that's a cup of noodles and eight dumplings #that's my usual order I always take‚ normally that's one meal #This time it took me?? Three meals to finish it??? Because after a while I just feel too nauseous to keep eating????????#So like. something is wrong™ but I really have no clue what it is or how to fix it...#Plus the entire day I've felt like crying for. no reason lmao. instead of, yknow, writing stories, i think about fun structural quirks. like how, to reflect gideon's position at the time of the party split, none of the preceding episodes/stories can focus on him. he's in pretty much all of them, and hes obviously an important part of the ship's functioning as their primary/sole mechanic, but he never gets spotlighted. even when the ships struggling, the focus of the narrative would be more on the pilot and the captain working around him. he's not focused on.

and so when he makes the case to Xue, and by extension the audience, that he has not been given the proper respect, that is actually reflected in the narrative.

#story blogging #*parks and rec meme* its about the Structure #thats also why the vineyard thing happens three eps in. its a structural thing. get their ass #the difficult bit would be ensuring the balance between ignoring him and 'ignoring him' yknow #and i think part of that will be worked with by how he interacts with Xue and Petra #since theyre the two people who like. like him? mostly? petra at least goes out of her way to talk to him #and so you do get scenes of him. he gets some visibility. but only on a scene by scene basis #eg you might get an episode about petra and he'll have a good scene with her and then not much else #hes structural. so its noticable when hes not there. but hes always there ;)
