Now that I think about it the fact that bsd is officially categorized as seinen is ridiculous. Has anyone seen the merch? It's clearly targeted to female consumers?
#All the dresses and purses and make-up bags and women jewelry. C'mon.#I don't think I ever saw a single piece of clothing that's aimed to men#That is NOT to say men can't enjoy bsd (duh)- just that they aren't its supposed targeted audience by Kadokawa.#It's quite evident in the anime too. All the fanservice is directed towards a (heteronormative) female audience#(there's a full zero female characters fanservice which is... Unheard of for a shonen / seinen)#Which totally backfired because now they have a very consistent fanbase of gay men and queer people#As well as fleets of gay men simping for Akutagawa in the activity page of aktgw-daily#bsd#bungou stray dogs#mine#q.#28/06/23
