mammon in twisted wonderland pt.1

mammon woke up in complete darkness and sort of just… stood there. like he felt around, realised he was in a small area, and then just stood there as he processed what was happening. mammon briefly thought he was dead, before remembering that he was a demon where he then continued to just stand there.

he continued to just stand there (like the patient and vaguely confused demon he was) until he heard a voice, and he then proceeded to… continue to stand there.

mammon felt the heat of something hitting whatever he was in before he saw anything. and it was then he decided to stop just standing there, where he gently pushed the door to the coffin off. he scared the soul out of the small… demon cat in front of him.

then he left, very casually and explored while managing to leave the small demon cat in the dust. being amongst the fastest of demon’s is both a curse and blessing, especially because it means he effortlessly leaves anything and everything behind him (by complete accident).

honestly mammon was hella fascinated by crowley (crows, duh) and was especially attentive to how he looked (he absently listened, but not consciously, so like usual).

mammon’s brain immediately went “er, what?” when he finally processed that he was in a school, and he realised that when he saw the massive group of children (mammon is 6000+ minimum, they are all children).

…pardon?

mammon’s brain froze when he realised just how many children were here. also mammon is a demon, mammon is massive compared to humans. and mammon was just realising that he was wearing a… strange like, 3 part robe thing. like, excuse me? where the hell (devildom?) did his normal clothes go???

his brain went to “look after the children and play along with their fantasies” when he was confronted with the magic mirror from Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs. then he spoke to the mirror, and he smiled through the confusion (and slight pain he felt when he remembered that none of his siblings ever cared about these things).

mammon was even more confused when the mirror said that his soul was unclear. like, excuse me? he could almost understand, except the mirror said his soul was unclear, not his + all the human souls he’d eaten before.

apparently his magic and soul weren’t compatible with this ‘twisted wonderland’ as crowley had called it.

proceeded to get bullied by the small demon cat (satan may love them, and mammon may love satan, but mammon didn’t understand why he loved cats). then he almost cackled when the small demon cat (what was it’s name again?) set fire to everything.

then the cute naive white haired kid got caught on fire. less funny, and now slightly concerned. you’re favourite demon took off the easiest layer of the weird robe (the top layer with the hood) and very gently (seriously, gentler then a damn feather) put out the fire.

also now the freakishly tall, handsome demon from literal hell, was comforting the white haired baby in front of him. then he was catching the small demon cat, getting scolded by crowley (lucifer much?) and getting told to leave.

gladly.

except mammon couldn’t leave.

goddamn it…

then he ended up in a ramshackle house. that was leaking. …and kind of looked like the house of lamentation. mammon kind of just stood there, in the living room silently as he just contemplated life. …then the small demon cat was back.

…wait small demon cat’s name is grimm? …avatar of greed is activated. small demon cat is now his.

the most patient demon with grimm. also he just staaaaared at the ghosts when they appeared and they skedaddled. can’t use demon magic, and his soul isn’t clear here, however, mammon is still one of the 7 demon lords of hell, and damn dude can be scary when he wants to be.

did in fact protest when told he needed to earn his stay (“it wasn’t even my fault?!”) however he kept his list of arguments to himself.

smelled the deception on ace when he turned up.

mammon listened to the stories of the great seven and absently compared some of them to his brothers (queen of hearts to lucifer, the beautiful queen to asmodeus).

your friendly greed demon encouraged grimm defending himself, kept a close eye on ace and grimm to make sure both children were safe.

mammon learnt very quickly that he had some of his demon qualities. his stare, his height, stature and various other senses and apparently his insane healing ability.

mammon very carefully hid his burned hand when crowley yelled at him, and by the time they’d gotten their punishment (so much nicer then lucifer) his hand was all good.

just about choked from laughter and panic when ace got crushed by a cauldron.

got injured again by the damn chandelier. blood was literally everywhere, and no one noticed.

…mammon wanted to go home…

fully prepared to talk his way out of the massive bill for the chandelier, and scrutinised the remains of it (not worth that much).

ace and deuce were insanely… oversized for the dwarfs mine, mammon might as well have been a giant in a hobbit hole.

honestly, mammon probably could’ve bodied the big, glass head thing, but instead he was responsibly and guided the (idiot) children to solve it themselves.

felt like a proud mama hen when they figured it out.

was still fascinated by crowley, but was also tempted to, er, do some demon stuff to him.

was even prouder of grimm after they were accepted into the school (wasn’t thrilled with becoming a student again).

was smothered by a curious murder of crows as he and grimm walked back to ramshackle dorm.

after doing some cleanup work on the dorm he noticed some little trinkets left near windows that apparently hadn’t been closed.

asmodeus headcanons

asmodeus surprisingly enough has scorpions in his room. as his symbol animal he’s particularly fond of them. his scorpions also have their own specialised skin (scale?) routines.

as the avatar of lust asmodeus goes through the entire scale of libido’s. just as he can have one of the highest libido’s he can also be completely asexual. this is not a known fact about asmodeus.

asmodeus can fix almost any problem on social media, including getting an image off social media after it’s gone viral. leviathan is the technology wiz with games and whatnot, mammon is great with technology in the background, and asmodeus is brilliant when it comes to social media problems and whatnot.

asmodeus knows all of his brothers skin types, hair types, styles, likes and dislikes when it comes to clothes and general hygiene care. whenever he makes a new line of something (clothes, skin products, hair products etc) he always makes sure there’s something that each of his brothers would love.

asmodeus has multiple alt accounts that no one but him knows about. his alt accounts all have a theme and none of them involve his face or name in the slightest. he uses these accounts to spread rumours and leaks about certain things. demon bullying his brothers? now there’s a rumour going around about that demon. asmodeus has a new skin care line? oh look! someone leaked it to the public and now everyone’s talking about it!

being the avatar of lust comes with some advantages, for example asmodeus has a vague idea of every sexual thing someone has done without even searching for it. chances are he knows if someone’s asexual before they do, and chances are he knows if someone wanted to actually have sex or not.

a draw back to being the avatar of lust is that almost everything asmodeus says is thought to have a double meaning. for example, asmodeus may say his throat is sore or hurts (maybe from sickness, maybe he’s just thirsty) and almost everyone who hears him say that will immediately laugh and make some joke about asmodeus’s knees hurting too.

a lot of what asmodeus does is considered to be incredibly superficial, but for the most part he’s always completely and unashamedly himself.

asmodeus uses his connections to get limited edition or rare items for his brothers. satan’s been upset recently? asmodeus conveniently found some rare cat themed item that he thought satan would like. lucifer’s stressed? asmodeus found a rare vinyl or some limited edition demonus that lucifer will find in his room or office at some point.

asmodeus mourned the loss of his angel wings more then anyone else did, not necessarily because of what they were, but because of what they’d represented to him. he eventually came to love his new demon wings, but occasionally he’ll find himself incapable of looking at them in any way shape or form.

when asmodeus finally started to get used to being a demon he decided to explore what the devildom had to offer, and that’s where he realised that tail, wing or horn care products were mostly only available to the nobility and higher in the devildom, so he made his own care products. he customised them and continues to perfect them everyday so that everyone can care for themselves.

asmodeus can tell when someone is feeling down or depressed before they can. he can tell when they struggle to get out of bed, or when they find it a chore to take a shower or look after himself, and whenever he gets that depressed feeling in the air, he’ll post a bunch of stuff like “good job on getting out of bed and getting something to drink”, “good job on putting on that cream or having a snack” etc.

when it comes to saying exactly what your thinking, asmodeus is the definition of it. asmodeus will make an offhanded comment about someone without even thinking that it may be rude, and it will take him a little while to realise he said something he shouldn’t’ve.

when it comes to judging products or snooty and rude demons his lack of brain to mouth filter is brilliant, however when it comes to his friends or brothers his lack of filter can have some rather unsavoury results. especially because asmodeus can’t help but compare his brothers to who they used to be in the celestial realm, specifically mammon.

asmodeus used to look up to mammon a lot so whenever he see’s mammon act like the avatar of greed his brain always makes a comparison and asmodeus bluntly says what he’s thinking. whenever asmodeus realises what he said to mammon he’ll usually feel guilty, but instead of apologising he’ll sneak something mammon will like into mammon’s room as an apology.

is mostly perceptive to how his brothers are feeling. he’ll invite leviathan out to do something and he’ll always have an ear or eye on leviathan to make sure he isn’t overwhelmed. will invite satan out and will keep an ear or eye on satan to make sure no ones pissing him off, and if someone is then asmodeus will swoop in and convince whoever is causing satan to leave.

asmodeus isn’t very good at cooking, but he’s practised making all his brothers favourite foods so that he can surprise them when they’re having a bad day or so that whenever it’s his turn to cook dinner everyone will have something to enjoy.

mammon headcanons

mammon has nests in the higher parts of his rooms and in little nooks and cranny’s for his crows to use. mammon has small windows along the high parts of his walls and near the nests that are always open so that his crows always have a way into his room. mammon routinely leaves food and water out for his crows in easily accessible areas and mammon has memorised his crows favourite foods.

his crows leave little trinkets everywhere around mammons room. near his pillows. on his bedside table. in various spots on and around his car. in the nests. his crows will even leave little trinkets they’ve found on his desk at R.A.D.

mammon either hyper-focuses on one thing, or he vaguely focuses on a hundred things. whenever he hyper-focuses his task is done perfectly and in the least amount of time possible. the only challenge is that he doesn’t tend to hyper-focus on things that people notice.

mammon is a genius when it comes to maths however he only really cares enough to use it for gambling and betting. mammon can accurately predict any gambling game but he tends to throw games so that he doesn’t get kicked out or punished by lucifer for cheating.

because mammon’s sin is greed, he can always tell when someone is feeling greedy which gives him heavy advantages whenever he plays.

(no one has ever noticed mammon’s talent in maths because a) no one expects it so no one looks for it, and b) his opponents either so frustrated/smug that they never notice)

mammon has good academic smarts (even by demon standards) but he doesn’t care enough to use them at school. mammon of course is a genius at maths, he, like most demons, is excellent when it comes to history, and he’s almost a natural when it comes to home economics.

mammon spent most of his time balancing his duties and looking after his brothers when they were younger in the celestial realm, and when he and his brothers fell mammon spent most of his time solely focusing and looking after them, especially satan.

mammon is a master of patience. between looking after his siblings (both in the celestial realm and in the devildom), adjusting to the devildom, looking after baby satan and dealing with all the insults he gets daily, his patience even outlasts some angel’s.

mammon is good at academic smarts, however his talents really lie in his street smarts. if anyone ever properly focused on mammon in public, they’d notice that he changes how he acts depending on who he’s speaking with, what he’s trying to achieve, and where he is.

mammon is actually a fairly private person. the only things that are commonly known about mammon is that he’s one of the 7 lords of hell, he and his brothers fell from the celestial realm, and he’s the avatar of greed. mammon seems like a fairly shallow and simple person on the outside, but he tends to prefer that.

the only people he’d ever want to see him as more then greed, would be his brothers but after centuries of being insulted and called scummy and useless by them, he started to accept his role and he actually accentuated his greed.

mammon doesn’t steal anything that he doesn’t plan on giving back, he ‘steals’ from diavolo however he only does so around others (lucifer, barbatos, or asmodeus typically). if he wanted to steal something, chances are that he wouldn’t actually be caught. whenever mammon gets ‘caught’ he obviously gives back the item, however he also adds in a trinket or something extra when he gives it back, an action that is mostly always unnoticed.

his crows will definitely harass whoever is particularly mean to mammon, and mammon will always stop his murder of crows from harassing his brothers.

mammon is actually very clever when it comes to his debts to witches, and he’s never once entered into a contract with someone he’s in debt to. whenever he makes his deals with witches he’s already calculated basically every pro and con the deal will cause.

believe it or not but mammon’s never been tricked into a pact. if he’s entered into a pact that he’s been ‘tricked’ into, he wanted to enter the pact and the trick had nothing to do with it.

mammon is a master at haggling and bargains. mammon can find the most luxury of skin care products or clothes for extremely cheap, and he can haggle down anything from a cheap price to an absolute steal.

mammon tends to think very quickly, usually faster then he can talk which means that he tends to accidentally skip parts of his sentences, but his thinking so quickly is perfect for when he haggles or scams people.

mammon knows all of his brothers favourite things, and occasionally he’ll sneak something they like/want into their rooms. sometimes he gets caught and whenever that happens chances are that he’ll get blamed for something, but he always deflects, falls back into his avatar of greed act and takes off (after leaving the gift of course).
